So I decided to dig out my good ol SNES (the one that didnt overheat) and pop in a couple games. SMRPG was such an amazing work of art. To take the simple formula of Super Mario, jump on goombas, beat bowser, get back the princess, and form a massive story that takes you in and never lets go.
Lets start simple. Who was your favorite 3 party members?
Mario
Bowser
Geno or Princess, depending on the situation.
Also, how many jumps did you get?

Mario
Bowser
Princess with the Lazy Shell armor was unstoppable...
i got into the 40's with my jumps without the help of an emulator...
Awesome game.
Mario
Geno and
Bowser for me.
But that Mallow wasn't worth a damn.

Mario, Bowser, and Princess. On occasion I'd switch Bowser and Geno out, but not often.
Speaking of SMRPG, no-one ever bothered to tell me what "kajio" translates as.

Mario
Mallow
Bowzer
These are the 3 I like playing with the most. I do love Geno "secret weapon." Too bad it doesn't work on bosses, but then that would have made it way too easy.

This game was definitely a game before it's own time. I rememeber going to a friends house for a week about a year ago, and saw he had the game. I set down and played the game between meals for like 4 days. I put this game in a group of other games like FF7 and such that were just so good and can't be replaced. I'd love to see this game remade in any fashion because I'd have to sell all my belongings to get it.

okay lets switch it up:
how many jumps did you get?
did you fight and beat the secret boss?
That boss took me forever o_x
Found him, beat him and loved the FF feel to him.

Never did beat that guy.
I hope that they either:
a) re-release this for the gb or DS or
b) make this availble on the Wii Virtual Console.

Culex was easy if you had Peach with the Lazy Shell in your party. As for a putting it out again, I'd prefer VC. Having it on a handheld would be useful, but I'd prefer to be able to play it on a TV again, something I haven't done in almost a decade.

So the Mario & Luigi games were not for you, I take it? Or haven't you tried them?
Geh. I never did finish Super Mario RPG. I remember being in a castle-or-whatever where Mario could walk behind some curtains and turn into his original NES self, and after that I don't think I played much farther.

Eww, that's not even halfway through the game. =/

Booster's Tower is probably my favorite theme song in the game.

The GBA was good...too easy...the DS version was too short.
But overall they're good "beginner RPGs."
PS - I HAVE FURY!
