Blood Slayer
Chapter 1-The Beginning
It was raining. Everyone was running home from school so that they wouldn’t catch cold. Everyone except Alex that is. Alex was an average kid for someone of the age of 16. He would always do his homework and would always listen to his parents. He was average looking as well, growing in his mustache, ragged hair that was always in his face, a pointed nose, and wire rim glasses so he could see better.
He wasn’t running home that day because he had gotten detention. His reason of this is where our story begins.
Alex would have woken up this morning as he would any other day. He would have got up, dressed himself, brushed his teeth, have had some breakfast and would be off to school. Instead, today, he did his normal routine except for one thing, there was a note on the refrigerator for him form his mother.
The note read as is;
Dear Alex,
I will be out of town for the next 3 days, so I expect that you behave and make sure to feed the dogs.
As he read this he gazed at his 2 Chihuahuas, who had just recently had 6 puppies.
As you know she will need extra care and attention. Make sure she gets lots of water. I would also like it if you mailed a letter for me personally after school. It will need to mailed post hast, because the person receiving it will be anxious to get it fast. Make sure they get it before 5:00 P.M. The letter is on my dresser.
Also, your little brother, make sure he goes to school today. He’s gotten rather, let’s say, rude toward the teachers, so they are having a discussion with him.
Love Mom
As Alex finished up the note, he feed his dog and refilled their water bowls. He then proceeded to wake up his brother by any manner possible. He had finally gotten him up by eventually pouring water onto his head. He was then ready to go off when he had remembered that he needed to take the letter. He got the letter for his mother’s dresser and was finally off on his way to school.
He arrived at school at the same time he does everyday, 7:00 A.M. sharp. He went to his first 5 classes with nothing out of the ordinary happening, until 6th period that is, when someone, namely his bully, came up to him to ask him something.
Now as you know there is always someone who has a bully no matter how popular and cool they are. Alex was one of those lucky people to get one.
“Hey Stanson”, Greg yelled, “why did the dork cross the street?”
Alex answered the same way he does, “Because he was running away scared?”
“NO! Because he was going to get a punch in the face.” As soon as he said that last part, he sucker punched Alex in the face. He stumbled off of is chair a bit dazed by what happened.
Now normally a person would walk away from this sort of thing, like Alex would. Instead Alex was tired of his bulling for once and punched him right back in the face. Greg got a pretty bad nose bleed from that hit, and was furious.
The reason he hates Alex is because once when they were in Kindergarten, Alex offered to help him with anything on the project they were doing, and accidentally spilt some milk onto him. He was of course mad at this and never trusted Alex again.
A fight ensued between both of them until finally a teacher came near by and stopped them from killing each other. Alex was, of course, embarrassed for the plain fact that his record was clean, but of course Greg’s was full of crap.
They were to wait in the nurse’s office until they came up with a sufficient punishment. The principal finally walked in and said that all they had to do was stay after school until 4:30.
“This is just great. Now how am I supposed to deliver that letter for mom? I’ll try as best as I can to get this letter to whomever the person is.”
Alex’s classes went normal the rest of the day, and finally his detention came up. He sat down at one of the tables in the cafeteria, and waited.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Finally his detention time was up and he was ready to go and deliver the letter. As soon as he sat up he noticed that it was raining outside and that he didn’t even have a jacket or umbrella. So he did what any other kid would do in this situation; put his backpack over his head. He looked down at the letter to see what the address was and he read it like so;
660 BlackLight Lane
OPEN QUICKLY AND SAFELY
He gazed at the letter once and remembered he had been near that same area. He started to run as fast as he could so as not to be late delivering the letter. He dodged traffic swiftly and safely, made his way through some parks, and also went through some people’s backyards. It took him nearly 25 minutes to reach the house and he finally made it. As soon as he reached the front steps, the area around him was average looking. He thought that with the way the letter was written he might be in a bad part of town. Instead the place was, well, normal. He stepped up to the door and rang it once. No answer. Rang it again. No answer still. He decided to ring once more, when he was suddenly lifted up off the ground.
Turns out that Greg had followed him all the way there just to get his revenge for that detention he had gotten. He socked him in the face again, this time breaking Alex’s nose. Blood ran all over his face, and into his mouth. Greg was ready to make the final hit when he slipped on the steps of the house from all the rain that had been there.
Greg was furious and stomped off toward home so he could wallow in his self pity.
Alex was amazed that he had just left, and that he himself was still alive.
“Guess I’m a lucky one today.”, and stuffed some tissue up his nose.
Alex the proceeded to the front door again and rang it twice this time. Finally he heard some footsteps from inside and thought that someone was coming downstairs. Instead the footsteps stopped and a note came through the mail slot. Alex was a bit agitated by this for 2 reasons. 1, because the person on the other side was rude not to open the door and second because he was freezing from all the rain
He read the note:
Do you have the letter in you possession?
Alex grabbed a pen from his backpack and scribbled;
“Yes”.
He then sent the note back through and waited to see what the person wrote back. It came through once again with yet another message on it.
Open the letter NOW!
Alex was bewildered at this message and was wondering whether or not he should open it or keep it closed. He ran all the possibilities through his head.
“It could be anthrax. It could be money. It could be a secret love letter. It could be anything that could cause harm or cause good fortune.”
Alex decided that best thing to do was to open the letter. Inside was a little piece of metal shaped like a sword. It was about the size of his middle finger, and had some sort of odd stains on it that looked to be blood. He wondered why his mother would be sending this sort of thing to another person.
Suddenly the door opened and was pulled inside. Darkness hit him, and he something hit him on the head hard. He passed out. Before he blanked out though, he wondered this one thought most of all;
“Why does this mini sword have my last name on it?”
