I know, I posted the origanal version of this before, but here is it's newest reincarnation, as an SPD fic rather than a Forever Red. I'll just repost the prolouge, Chapter One is coming soon. Just as a note, this is set after Robotpolooza now.

SPD- Vengence

Prolouge

“Are you sure this goes here?” Boom said, puzzled as he attempted to connect a large ball joint in to a small socket.

“It has too.” Bridge nodded, looking over his golden rimmed glasses thoughtfully. “Everything has to go somewhere, and if it doesn’t go here, there isn’t anywhere for it to go, so it must go here.”

“Right.” Boom said to the SPD Green Ranger, trying to get his head around the Ranger’s babbling, “But I think this bit might be a part of something else.”

“Perhaps.” Bridge pondered, looking over their work, turning to a large trolley full of metal parts as Boom absent-mindedly threw the silver skinny metal arm behind him on to the cluttered floor of the silver room, which was laden with similar pieces of junk.

“Wrong colour anyway.” Boom said, wiping grease from his hands on to his orange SPD shirt, a souvenir Z and Syd had made for him, before turning around, noticing something at the doorway behind him.

“How’s it going guys?” Came the cheery voice of Sam, the Omega Ranger as he floated across the room in his form of a white ball of light.

“Almost there.” Boom responded, gesturing towards their creation. “No idea what it’s original purpose was though.”

“You’re still working on that thing?” Came Syd’s voice as she entered the room, running a hand through her long blonde hair as she looked down at the mechanical creation.

The robot seemed to look back up at her, the machine’s eyes menacing even in its deactivated state. Syd shivered a little as she looked away from the robot, a project Boom and Bridge had started over a month ago, piecing it together from scrap the Green Ranger had found by chance whilst sifting through junk to modify his toast making computer when off duty.

“That thing gives me the creeps. Looks almost like a Ranger.” The Pink Ranger said, turning away, as another voice filled the room, and presumably the entire base.

“Would Boom please report to the lab.” Came the calm voice of Dr. Kat Manx over the intercom.
“Sorry guys!” Boom said, climbing to his feet and heading away from the strange looking robot laying on the floor. “That’s my cue! Kat probably wants my help working on the top-secret time machine. Catch you later!”

As he headed towards the door, Boom stopped and turned around to see the three Rangers, well the two with visible eyes anyway, looking at him.

“Opps.”

*

“That’s great news!” Z said cheerfully, as she sat in the recreation room with her fellow Rangers, Sky, Jack and Bridge.

“I guess.” The Omega Ranger responded, floating around the Yellow Ranger’s head, next to Sky, who glanced upwards slightly as the Ranger from the future skimmed over his hair.

“You’ll be able to go home, and probably get your body back, Sam!” Jack said, sharing Z’s enthusiasm. “Why wouldn’t it be great?”

“I like it here.” Sam responded. “I spent my childhood here remember, and I like being with you guys.”

“You would give up your body to stay here, with us?” Sky said, having trouble understanding where the Ranger was coming from.

“Wouldn’t you?” Bridge answered, “He’s all shiny and sparkly, can float around wherever he wants and;”

The other rangers breathed a sigh of relief as Kat’s voice filled the Delta Base again, cutting Bridge off.

“Rangers report to the Command Center!”

*

Cadets and technicians bustled around SPD as usual, preparing themselves just in case the evacuation sirens started, and the base began to transform in to it’s Megazord mode, an event which was now quite common place and expected after a Ranger alert call.

However, the staff always kept their cool, performing their various duties, such as disposing of space trash, picked up from all over the galaxy, or tidying the cadets living quarters, something some of them, especially the B Squad Rangers, didn’t have much time to do themselves. However, there was one room none of them ever bothered to clean, mostly because no one could ever work out what was junk and what wasn’t.

In that room right now, lay the machine Boom and Bridge had been spending all of their off duty time working on, its red paint work scratched and faded from years of neglect. Some of the damage, however, was obviously not caused by a lack of care. The bodywork was dented in places, battle scars of fights long gone.

Fights forgotten by most, but for those which remembered them, left thoughts of revenge and payback.

Chapter 1

“Ready Sam?” Jack yelled, as the Delta Squad Megazord ran alongside the Omega Max Cycle, towards the large red and silver robot opposite them.

“Always!” The Omega Ranger replied, his foot to the floor as his Zord charged forward, jolting a little as the Megazord landed on it, grabbing the handlebars.

The rather generic robot stomped around the buildings of New Tech City, it’s bladed arms out stretched as the engines of the Omega Max Cycle roared, powering the two zords towards machine, provided for the emperor Gruumm by Broodwing. Inside the cockpit, the Blue Head Krybot sat, pressing at controls as it looked through the dome shaped cockpit situated in the robot’s head, attempting to dodge the two Zords.

“Lasers!” The Red SPD Ranger yelled from within his cockpit, pressing a button on his control console, which prompted the Delta Squad Megazord’s blaster to emerge from its storage space within the machines leg.

“Fire!” The remaining five rangers added, as the silver gun erupted with red laser fire.

Flailing its arms, the giant robot stumbled backwards as the barrage of fire hit it, before exploding in to a thousand pieces.

“Got him!” Sam said joyfully as the Omega Max Cycle ground to a halt, making a quick turn in the city streets.

*

“I can’t believe,” Gruumm roared, his eyes glowing crimson as his voice echoed throughout his ship, “that they have defeated another of my robots. How strong can mere humans be?”

“It isn’t the humans that are strong.” Morgana hissed from the other side of Gruumm’s throne room. “It is Broodwing’s robots that are weak.”

“And what do you propose to do to solve that problem?” Gruumm roared.

“I’ll tell you, if you promise to turn me back in to Mora.” The woman said, turning her back to the skeletal beast.

“I will turn you back.” Gruumm responded. “Once you come up with a plan that works!”

“Agreed. ” Morgana said, disappointed, as she waved her right hand in front of her body, creating a round distortion in the air, on which appeared a mechanical creature. “If the robots are too weak, why not use a stronger one?”

“Go on.” Gruumm hissed, leaning forward slightly.

“This,” Morgana explained, “is the Red Psycho Ranger. A machine used years ago by the empress Astromena to destroy the Power Rangers.”

“So?” Gruumm hissed. “It obviously failed.”

“But with my plan, it will not.” Morgana explained. “Through some of my contacts I managed to get hold of the remaining parts of this robot, and plant them in the Delta Base. As expected, the Green Ranger and that pathetic excuse for a gadget tester have rebuilt it.”

“My patience is growing thin Morgana.” The emperor roared. “What makes you think this plan will work, where others have failed?”

“Well, Gruumm,” Morgana continued, “watch this.”

On the small screen like creation appeared footage of the inside of the Delta Base, distorted slightly with static. However, the form of Boom was almost clear, as he left the room.

“That’s my cue! Kat probably wants my help working on the top-secret time machine. Catch you later!” With that the screen vanished, with a wave of Morgana’s hand.

“Time machine?” Gruumm roared.

“Yes. A machine which my Psycho Ranger will use to travel back in time, to the year 1998."

“Why 1998?” The skeletal monster said, puzzled.

“That was the year of the defeat of the United Alliance of Evil. The event which triggered the creation of government funded Power Rangers. The creation of SPD.”

Gruumm said nothing, his eyes glowing again as he rose to his feet, staff in hand.

“Perfect!”

*
“It’s almost finished.” Boom said, smiling as Kat looked down at her assistant’s creation.

“It depends what you mean by finished.” Bridge added. “Technically, if we;” Bridge was cut off again by Kat’s concerned tone.

“You do know what this is, don’t you?” She said, playing with her long brown hair, not taking her eyes from the machine.

“A robot.” Bridge responded. “fully sentient, multi functional automaton.”

“It’s not a normal robot.” Dr. Manx responded. “This is one of the Psycho Rangers. Powerful killing machines programmed to destroy their Ranger counterparts.”

Bridge and Boom looked at each other, gob smacked.

“If I were you,” Kat said frowning, “I would dispose of this thing before Cruger finds out.” With that, the cat woman left, heading to her own lab.

“Maybe she’s right.” Boom said quietly. “Better safe than sorry. If anything goes wrong, it will be our fault. And you know what that means.”

“Yeah.” Bridge replied. “It will be our fault. We can get rid of it tomorrow.”

As Bridge and Boom left the room, the Psycho Ranger’s head turned slightly.

It was time.

Angel Grove- 1998

“You’ll be safe!” The Blue Ranger shouted, as he guided civilians away from the group of attacking Quantrons.

Throughout the city, similar scenes were taking place, as Velocofighters flew over head. The city was in panic, through the years it had seen hundreds of monster attacks, but never anything of this scale.

“Spiral Sabre Booster Mode!” Andros yelled, as he combined his two weapons. As the Red Ranger blasted the group of Quantrons, he pondered how all this was going to turn out. He knew eventually he was going to have to fight his sister, something he was not sure whether he had the courage to do.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city…

“Ever wish you still had your powers?” The young man grunted as a Quantron struck him in the chest with an axe like weapon. The former ranger fell to the floor, rolling on impact.

“At times like these,” his friend yelled, grabbing the Qauntron from behind and throwing it backwards, “yes.”

The second man powerfully struck another of the silver grunts in the chest as his old friend climbed to his feet. All around them the silver clad warriors were attacking and civilians were fleeing. This was the city the pair of them had fought throughout their teenage lives to protect, and they weren’t going to stop now.

“Thanks Bro.” Jason said, as he stood back to back to his companion, Quantrons closing in.

“No problem. Let’s show these guys who they are dealing with.”

*

Delta Base- 2025

The corridors of the base were quiet and empty, only illuminated by the dim overhead lights, until the Omega Ranger floated through, his energy form lighting up the silver floor.

Being pure energy, Sam no longer had the need to eat or sleep, so often found himself wandering the base at night, to fight off boredom. Although not incredibly exciting, he found patrolling around like this more satisfying than floating in the corner of Bridge and Sky’s quarters.

Many of the corridors seemed the same, filled with closed doors leading to sleeping quarters. Bouncing as he travelled, Sam headed past more of the same doors.. The scenery was the same, plain and sterile. However, today something was different.

The Omega Ranger floated past Bridge and Sky’s quarters, also quiet, when he heard metallic footsteps from further down the corridor. Speeding up, Sam floated towards the room Bridge and Boom had adopted as their own.

The door was ajar, unusually. Sam had assumed Bridge would have closed and locked the door, to stop anyone entering and tampering with his work.

Intrigued, Sam hovered through the gap in the door, and looked down at the floor. Quickly the Omega Ranger turned around and charged out of the empty room, particles of energy flickering from his energy form towards the floor, littered with metal junk.

*

“Red Ranger.” Psycho Red hissed to himself, as he walked through the corridors, his artificial brain sending him his mission, the mission that had been programmed in to him since his creation.

But wait, what was this? Someone else was talking to him, inside his mechanical skull.

“Go to the top floor, once there locate the time machine and wait for further instruction.”

Psycho Red didn’t recognise the woman’s voice, but something told him to obey her. The Red Ranger would have to wait.

The machine continued forward, the dim light catching his red armour.

“Stop right there!” Came a voice from behind him, prompting the Psycho Ranger to turn around.
“SPD Emergency!” In a flash, the ball of light took on a humanoid form, his white spandex decorated with a golden trim.

Chapter 2

“I don’t have time to waste with you.” Psycho Red roared as he faced the Omega Ranger, raising a scratched and dented arm. “Therefore, I shall have to deal with you quickly!”

The machine rushed forwards, glaring through it’s black visor at the white clad Ranger ahead of him.

“We’ll see about that!” Sam yelled, also moving forward along the corridor, as Psycho Red lunged, his clawed arm aimed straight at Omega Ranger’s chest. Sam dodged sideways, retaliating with his own punch to his assailant’s side.

Psycho Red stumbled back slightly, which Sam used to his advantage, punching again, to gain more ground. The Psycho Ranger quickly recovered however, blocking the attack with his own arm, which had a panel missing, showing wires and circuitry.

“I don’t know how you were activated,” Sam shouted, as Psycho Red’s foot slammed in to his chest, “but I’m going to have to undo it! Omega Morpher! Electro Mode!”

Quickly, Sam grabbed the throttle of his morpher, and twisted the grip. As he did so, yellow energy lit up his glove. He could see Psycho Red attempting another quick attack, and lunged towards the machine, placing his glove on Psycho Red’s chest.

Psycho Red roared as the energy surged in to him, his display becoming covered with static because of the overload.

Omega Ranger watched as the electrical energy flew through the robot, and it shot backward along the corridor, towards the central part of the base. Wasting no time, Sam rushed after it.

*

“I thought you said,” Gruumm roared, “that this Psycho Ranger was powerful?”

“It is Emperor.” Morgana insisted, as she watched the screen showing Psycho Red’s view. At the moment all that was visible was the ceiling of the Delta Bases’ central room.

“Then why is it being defeated by one ranger?”

“It’s not defeated yet.” Morgana yelled, “Just you watch!”

*

Sam slowly approached the fallen robot, who was sprawled on the metal floor, and breathed a sigh of relief. He had expected a much tougher fight.

Suddenly, he realised a much tougher fight was indeed in store, as a clawed white arm shot from the fallen robot, and struck him in the chest.

“What?” Sam yelled in surprise, as Psycho Red climbed to his feet.
“Did you really think you could defeat me that easily? No White Ranger could ever defeat me, Psycho Red!”

“Oh yeah?” Sam responded. “Well I’m not a White Ranger. I’m the force from the future! Omega Ranger!” With that the red sirens on Sam’s helmet flashed with a red light as he charged at the machine again.

Psycho Red dodged the Omega Ranger’s kick, as he analysed his new surroundings. He seemed to be on the middle floor, with escalators going both up and down from this large central room. Across the room, he saw two doors, each leading to a narrower walkway.

This was what he needed. Currently, there was too much space for the Power Ranger to recover from attacks and strike back. It was time for some close combat.

Pyscho Red struck Sam’s chest again, who retaliated with a sweeping kick, unbalancing the robot. Before he fell, however, the Psycho Ranger grabbed the white and blue spandexed arms of his foe, and launched him over his head.

The Omega Ranger flew through the air, crashing through a door which led to one of the narrower walkways. He quickly jumped to his feet, as Psycho Red barged through the door.

“Time’s up Ranger!” Psycho Red roared, lunging at Sam. The Ranger tried to dodge, but failed, as he was grabbed by his arms, which were pinned behind his back.

Sam looked around, helplessly, for a way out, anything. He had failed, and now this Psycho Ranger would get whatever it wanted.

“Time’s up for you, perhaps.” Came a voice from the balcony above. Sam looked up, to see a black suit, outlined with a blue trim and a large ‘100’ on the chest. The figure looked down, his hand on his holster, which contained his prized weapon/

“And this stupid excuse for a Ranger!” The Psycho Ranger replied, as he pushed Sam over the edge of the balcony, sending the white clad Ranger towards the ground below.

Cruger knew that Sam would have survived, by using his light ball form.

“Alert the other Rangers!” The Shadow Ranger yelled from his vantage point above.

“A Black Ranger now?” Psycho Red roared. “You are not my prey, I have no business with you.”

“I am Shadow Ranger! Defender of Earth! And if you have business in my base, you have business with me!”

“I had best put an end to it then.” Psycho Red hissed, holding a hand to the sky. In his palm, a black and silver blade materialised, which he swung menacingly.
“And I had best stop you.” Shadow Ranger roared back, reaching for his own weapon. “Shadow Saber!”

Cruger’s blade glew with a blue energy as the mouth of the dog’s head, which decorated the hilt, opened. The SPD commander swung his blade infront of him, ready for battle.

A split second later, the Shadow Ranger launched from the higher walkway, gracefully falling through the air, his blade outstretched. As he landed, knees bent, Cruger glared through his helmet’s visor at the intruder.

Psycho Red wasted no time, charging at Shadow Ranger, swinging his blade at the foe. Doggie Cruger retaliated, his Shadow Saber flying through the air as the two Rangers duelled across the narrow platform.

The sound of metal on metal echoed through the room as the two blades clashed, each warrior continuously exchanging blows, both trying to push forward. Cruger knew he had an advantage. He knew what this machine was, but could also tell it was not at full power.

The Shadow Ranger swung his sword lower, as Psycho Red managed to block it, also loosing more ground as the SPD commander pushed him further along the walkway.

“I don’t know where you came from,” Cruger yelled, his blade hitting the foes’ sword again, “but I’m sending you out of here in pieces!”

*

Angel Grove 1998

“Save it Darkonda!” Andros yelled, as the villain attacked Ashley, the Yellow Ranger. “Battilizer Missiles!”

From the Ranger’s armour fired several powerful missiles at the ground. As they exploded, a group of Quantrons and Darkonda fell to the floor. He had already lost his sister, Karone, Andros wasn’t going to loose Ashley too.

“Red Ranger!” Ecliptor yelled as he appeared from the chaos. “Take this!”

The next thing Andros knew, his battilizer was sending him crashing towards the ground.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city…

“You sure about this bro?” Jason yelled as he and Tommy ran through the crowded streets, fighting off the attention of Quantrons as they went.

“It’s got to be worth a try!” Tommy shouted back, his long hair blowing in the wind as he ran. “The Zeo powers were never destroyed. If I can get my Zeonizers, then maybe I can help sort out this mess.”
“If you say so.” Jason replied, sighing slightly. If only he still had some powers of his own. At that moment, he placed his hand in his back pocket, running his hand over his inactive morpher, which he always carried with him.

*
Delta Base 2025

The fight between Psycho Red and the Shadow Ranger had progressed to the next set of escalators. As he was carried backwards up the mechanical stair case, the Psycho Ranger swung his blade at his foe again, his processors telling him to continue the fight, until his mission was complete. However, right now the Ranger wasn’t sure what his mission was; to destroy the Red Ranger, or to do as the mysterious voice in his head had told him to do, and reach the time machine.

Anubis Cruger was also determined, striking back at his foes every move as they ascended up towards the higher levels of the base. The Shadow Ranger had no idea what the machine was here for, but he knew that it could not be allowed to reach the Command Center, and the rooms surrounding it.

Soon the pair reached the top of the escalator, and in another large room, the dim night lighting reflecting from the light blue tints in Cruger’s armour. Using the newly found space to his advantage, Psycho Red jumped away from the Shadow Ranger. He was soon followed, as Cruger took to the air himself, lunging forward and strikign Psycho Red as he landed.

“Stop wasting time!” Came the voice in his head again. “Leave the dog and get upstairs to the lab!”

Cruger watched for a moment as Psycho Red lowered his weapon, turned, and started to run towards the next escalator. The escalator that led to the Command Center, and the labs. In Doggie’s mind, there was no doubt any more. This Psycho was attempting to get to the high security levels, and there was only one reason for it.

Gruumm.

Chapter 3

Psycho Red swung his blade powerfully as he reached the summit of the escalator, smashing the top of it, the impact rocketing through the structure. As the Psycho Ranger turned and ran again, the Shadow Ranger was left watching the metal debris of the staircase come crashing down towards him, as he attempted to ascend it.

“No!” He yelled, as he stumbled, feeling the escalator crumbling beneath him. As the structure collapsed Cruger plummeted back towards the ground. The Sirian grunted as he took the impact of the hard floor, rolling sideways quickly to avoid the oncoming rubble. There was only one hope now, that Sam had alerted the other Rangers in time.

*

“Excellent!” Gruumm roared, as he and Morgana watched the footage from Psycho Red’s visor. “If your plan continues to work like this,” he continued, standing from his throne, “you may have a chance of being turned back to your precious Mora again.”

“Yay!” Morgana shouted excitedly, watching as the Psycho Ranger continued through the base.

*

Every corridor seemed the same as Psycho Red travelled through them, but it seemed he had finally found his target.

“Ms K. Manx.” The mechanical Ranger said aloud as he read the sign on the door. “The lab.” Wasting no time, Psycho Red pushed the door open, breaking the lock with his strength, and entered. The lab was full with gadgets of all sorts, but as his processors analysed the room, he could not locate anything resembling a time machine.
“Keep searching!” Came the voice again. “It must be around there some where!”

Nodding, Psycho Red left the lab and headed up the corridor until he reached a large mechanical door. Grabbing at the small gap between the two, the machine slid the doors apart, revealing the SPD Command Center. Computers filled the room, with various monitors displaying footage of New Tech City. In the corner, leant up against the wall stood what looked like a silver door frame, with a larger section on the side, which held a small control panel.
“That’s it!” Morgana shouted to Psycho Red. “Activate it, and go!”

Psycho Red started to move towards the machine, but stopped suddenly, his mechanical brain finding a conflict of duty.

Psycho Red started to move towards the machine, but stopped suddenly, his mechanical brain finding a conflict of duty.

“And what do you think your doing?” Came a voice from behind him, as Psycho Red turned around to face the door. “And I suppose your not the Red Ranger?” He shouted, his systems analysing the figure. “Let me guess, SPD Fire Ranger?” “Wrong!” Jack replied, raising his hand as the rest of his squad formed behind him. “One! SPD Red!”

“Two!” Sky added, “SPD Blue!”
“Three! SPD Green!” Bridge yelled, holding up three fingers.
“Four!” SPD Yellow!”
“Five!” Syd said, as Z finished, “SPD Pink!”

Together, their helmet sirens flashed and blared.

Together, their helmet sirens flashed and blared.

“In that case,” Psycho Red roared, “you are my prey, Red Ranger!”
“Oh yeah?” Sky shouted, standing opposite the Psycho Ranger, “And just who are you anyway?”
“I am Psycho Red. The destroyer of the Red Ranger!”
“Wow!” Bridge said, astonished as he looked at his creation. “It works! It really works!”
Together Sky, Jack, Z and Syd glared through their helmets at Bridge.
“I don’t think now is the time Bridge.” Jack shouted. “let’s get him!”
“Right!” The Green Ranger nodded, as Z and Syd ran forward, their Delta Max Strikers in baton mode.

The Yellow and Pink Rangers launched in to the air, swinging their weapons at the foe simultaneously. In one movement Psycho Red threw his arms outwards, striking both of the girls in the chest, sending them flying towards the floor, sliding back towards their team-mates. Reacting quickly, Sky ran forward, as Bridge and Jack rushed to check on the girls.

“Foolish Ranger!” Psycho Red roared, as the Blue Ranger charged at him. “You are nothing to me. The Red Ranger is my only concern.”

Sky snarled beneath his helmet. He was just about coming to terms with not being the Red Ranger, he didn’t need another reminder right now. Even more angry now, Sky launched himself at the Psycho Ranger, landing a punch to it’s metal gut, before narrowly dodging a swipe from the mechanoid.

Unfortunately, however, he was not as lucky a moment later, as Psycho Red avoided the Blue Ranger’s attack, and landed a powerful punch to Sky’s stomach, sending him flying in to the wall where the jump tubes leading to the Delta Runners were located.

“Sky!” Jack yelled, as he rushed to his partners side.
“Come and fight Red Ranger!” Psycho Red roared, “Stop delaying the inevitable!”
“It’s my turn first!” Bridge yelled, as he left Syd’s side and approached his creation.
“And what makes you think you can stop me?” The machine hissed.
“Because I created you, and I can uncreate you!”
“You didn’t create me.” Psycho Red roared back. “You were merely a pawn in my mistresses plan.”
“Your mistress?” Bridge said, confused, ready for battle as soon as Psycho Red instigated it.

“Stop wasting time!” Morgana’s voice echoed through Psycho Red’s head. “Activate the time machine, and go to 1998!”

Psycho Red roared, as he analysed the message. His primary objective was to destroy the Red Ranger, it was what he was built to do.

With little warning, he charged towards Bridge, grabbing the Green Ranger by his upper body and throwing him out of the way before he had anytime to react.

“That wasn’t how I had planned it.” Bridge winced, as he laded as the central set of computers.

Jack quickly jumped sideways as Psycho Red charged passed him, and flung his elbow powerfully in to the machines back, sending it stumbling forward. The Psycho Ranger quickly turned around, his arm, lacking the covering panel, flying towards the SPD Rangers head. Jack took the hit, stumbling, before regaining his balance and retaliating in kind.

“Delta Max strikers!” Came the call from the now recovered SPD Rangers, as four laser blasts shot past Jack and struck the Psycho Ranger, sending him flailing to the ground.

“Regroup!” Jack yelled, prompting his squad to form up behind him.
“Good idea Cadet Landors.” Came the familiar voice of the Shadow Ranger, as he and Sam rushed in to the room and joined the others. “It’s over Psycho Ranger!” Cruger barked. “There is no way you can win.”

The machine knew his foe was right. He was out numbered seven to one. But it wasn’t the end. Next to him, leant up in the corner was the silver doorway. He had failed his primary objective, but it didn’t mean he couldn’t please his mistress.

“Perhaps you are right.” He hissed, pulling himself along the metal floor. “But I’m not finished yet!”

“No!” Z shouted as Psycho Red lunged for the silver control panel, and removed it from it’s resting place.
“The Time Machine!” Cruger roared, as the Psycho Ranger tapped at four buttons on the control.

In a split second the doorway lit up with a silver light, as all seven Rangers charged towards it. Quickly, Psycho Red lunged through the gateway, and vanished from sight.

“No!” Jack roared, diving through the gateway as the light began to diminish.

As quickly as it had lit up, the Time Machine became dormant once again, it’s control unit absent, as Psycho Red had taken it with him.

“Great.” Syd muttered, as the six Rangers stood in the Command Center, quiet again, as they all wondered the same thing.

Would they ever see their Red Ranger again?

Chapter 4

Angel Grove 1998

“I will see you again.” Ashley said quietly, fighting back her tears as she faced Andros.
“Right.” The Kovarian nodded, unconvincingly, before turning and walking away from the girl. “Red Battilized Ranger!”

Ashley watched as Andros’ armour attached itself to him, before he took to the air. Sighing, she turned and headed back to the other Rangers, who were planning a route of action for the next day.

As he flew away, Andros looked back slightly, seeing the Yellow Ranger walking away. He would see her again. He had too. Quickly, he turned his attention to the task at hand, facing forward. It was then he saw something particularly unusual.

In the middle of the dark street, a shimmering doorway appeared from no where, illuminating the area with a silver glow. Intrigued, Andros swooped down towards the ground, gasping loudly when he saw a figure emerge from the strange light.

“It can’t be!” The Red Ranger roared, as the pointed armour of Psycho Red became recognisable, his silver mouth piece a menacing snarl, as always.
“It is, Red Ranger.” The machine hissed.
“I stopped you once,” Andros shouted, hovering in the air, “I can do it again.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure of that.” Psycho Red roared, as Andros’ Battilizer missiles charged towards him. Pulling his arm back, Psycho Red generated bright crimson energy, which crackled around his hand before he launched it to the sky.

Andros yet out a cry of pain as the blast hit him, sending him falling to the floor as his Battilizer armour vanished, leaving him in his regular Ranger form.
“As you can see,” Psycho Red cackled, “I have learnt some new tricks since we last met.”
“Spiral Saber!” Andros yelled, as he clambered to his feet, the drill like weapon appearing in his hand. Quickly the Ranger charged, striking the Psycho Rangers’ arm, which seemed to have a strange device connected in to it, with a series of buttons. The mechanoid quickly struck back with a powerful punch, sending Andros flying backwards.

As he hit the concrete again, Andros looked up at his foe. He was sure that the Psycho Rangers had been contained for good last time. As he tried to climb to his feet, Psycho Red approached him, now with his own weapon in hand, and ready to strike straight down at the Red Ranger.

“Need a hand?” Came another voice, as the silver light finally diminished, and another figure came diving through from the other side.
“You again?” Psycho Red roared, as he turned from Andros, giving him a chance to get up.
“Afraid so!” Jack roared, grabbing his Delta Blasters from their holsters.
“You are wasting your time.” Psycho Red hissed, holding his hand up in front of him, as a red aura seemed to generate from it.

Saying nothing, Jack pointed his two blasters at the robot, pulling the triggers together, sending a barrage of laser fire at his target. However, in a split second, Psycho Red was covered by a red shield, much like the ones Jack had seen Sky generate many times before.
“No!” He yelled, as his own laser fire shot back towards him, to quickly to dodge. In an explosion of sparks, the SPD Ranger fell backwards, crashing to the floor.
“Pathetic!” Psycho Red roared, as Andros charged at him, flying backwards as soon as he hit the shield.

Looking around at the two fallen Rangers, Psycho Red’s processors began searching for a new mission. His objective had been completed, he had travelled to 1998, as the woman had told him too. With no further orders, the Psycho Ranger decided the best course of action would be to head back.

Until his sensors found something else.

“Red Rangers?”

Some where above the Earth 2025

“Morgana!” Gruumm roared, “What is happening?”
“I don’t know, my lord.” The sorceress said, as the two looked at the blank screen infront of them. “Psycho Red, destroy the Red Space Ranger.”
“If his communications systems are not working,” the skeletal monster shouted, “what makes you think he can hear you!”
“It must be an effect of the time travel.” Morgana said quietly. “But I am sure he will hunt out and destroy the Ranger anyway, especially with the magical power I added to him.”
“He had better do, Morgana.” Gruumm hissed, “Or I will not be pleased.”

Delta Base

“So we can’t do anything?” Sky said sharply, as Kat stood with the others in the Command Center. “We have to wait for Jack to sort it out himself?”
“I’m afraid so Sky.” Kat said, shooting a look to Bridge. “Psycho Red has taken the only control device I had with him.
“Jack can do it.” Z said confidently. “He has his Battilizer, after all.”
“But does he?” Bridge said, looking upwards. “If he needs RIC to use it, and RIC is here, and can’t travel to the past because the gateway is closed, he can’t use it, right?”
“Uh, right.” Syd said, slightly confused.
“I trust that Cadet Landors can handle it.” Cruger said loudly, looking at the row of Rangers. “I am more concerned with how that robot got here.”

Syd, Sky and Z all stayed focused on their commander, trying not to give him any clue that they knew, Bridge however, knew what was for the best.

“Uh, Sir?”
“Yes Cadet Carson?”
“I, well, I..”

Bridge’s sentence was cut off, as he, the Delta Base, New Tech City and even Gruumm’s ship high above Earth, vanished from the time line.

Angel Grove 1998

“You sure this is going to work?” Jason yelled, as he reached for his morpher.
“It’s worth a try, isn’t it?” Tommy shouted back, striking a Quantron in the chest. “My theory is that your powers were only copied to Rocky, your link with the power was never severed.”
“Uh, bro?” Jason said, pointing behind him, “On second thought, I agree with you. I’m not up for fighting that thing without my powers.”

Tommy span around quickly, to see the black and red machine charging at the pair. He had seen footage of this creation before, and knew the current Power Rangers had struggled against it and its team-mates. As the two Rangers stood side by side, Jason turned to his friend.
“Do you want to say it, or should I?”
“Let’s do it together.” Tommy grinned.
“Right.”

“It’s Morphin’ Time!”

“Tyrannosaurus!”
“Zeo Ranger Five, Red!”

The two Rangers felt the power surge through them again, as their morphers, unused for a while, empowered them yet again, as in the place of Jason and Tommy stood two red clad Power Rangers. Jason looked down at his original suit, decorated with three white diamonds across the chest, with a similar pattern on the gloves and boots, but the colours were reversed. It hadn’t been as long since Tommy had used his power, but he was still relieved to have them again. His suit was quite plain compared to Jason’s, with a white section under his helmet, decorated with a gold trim. His helmet was lacking the silver mouth piece, and was only decorated with a large star shaped visor.

“Red Rangers!” Psycho Red roared, charging at the pair.
“You got that right.” Jason roared through his helmet, looking through his visor, which was decorated with Tyrannosaurus teeth.
“Be careful,” Tommy advised, as Psycho red got closer. “This thing was designed to destroy Red Rangers.”
“Well, he has met his match then.” Jason roared, charging forward, closely followed by the Zeo Ranger.

The Psycho Ranger’s sword swung at Jason with force, as the Ranger jumped sideways, raising his arm to the air.
“Power Sword!” In a flash of energy, his silver blade appeared in his hand. The Ranger ran his gloved fingers over the Power Coin set in the sword’s hilt, and struck back, meeting the foe’s sword in mid air.
“Don’t forget about me!” Tommy roared, jumping through the air, his Zeo Power Sword in his hand.
“Don’t worry.” Psycho Red hissed, “I will destroy you next.”
“You’re the only one getting destroyed today!” Jason roared, as Tommy ran up along side him and both charged forward, their weapons ready.

Holding his other arm out, Psycho Red’s sword flashed with energy, as another appeared in his free hand. The two Power Rangers looked at each other for a moment, as they ran at Psycho Red. The Power Sword struck one of the foe’s weapons, as the metal warrior also blocked Tommy’s attack.

Both Rangers continued their attacks, continuously swinging their blades, being blocked at each attempt. Psycho Red’s arms were moving at an incredible speed, his processors analysing both opponents, as he swung his blades to block the next incoming attacks.

With a violent swing, Psycho Red’s blade slammed in to Jason and Tommy’s chests, sending them flying to the ground in a shower of sparks. As he hit the hard ground, Tommy looked up at the silver moon, it’s light reflecting from his dark visor. He knew the Psycho Rangers were powerful, but had not expected this.

“Any more ideas?” Jason roared, as he stumbled to his feet, his Power Sword now lying a few feet away from him.
“Open to suggestions.” The Zeo Ranger replied, as he too stood up.
“I have a suggestion.” Psycho Red roared, idly swinging his two weapons as he approached the veteran Rangers. “I suggest you die.”

“I disagree.” Came another voice, as two more figures became illuminated by the dim moonlight, running through the wreckage which was the streets of Angel Grove.
“Blasters!” Jack yelled, as he and Andros both drew their double weapons, firing together.

Tommy and Jason regrouped as they looked at the two new Rangers. As soon as they saw the white stripe across his chest, both of them recognised the Red Space Ranger, but the other was a mystery. His suit was emblazoned with a large “1”, and seemed to be marked with the letters “SPD”. Whoever he was, however, he seemed to be a friend.

Psycho Red stumbled from the surprise attack, dropping his two weapons as the Rangers charged at him. From the other side, the Red Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger also ran, with his friend, their own blasters drawn. A moment later, both weapons were releasing powerful red laser blasts which struck the Psycho Ranger’s other side.

“No!” Psycho Red roared as he felt his systems failing, as he fell to one knee. “You have won this time, but in the future you will not be so lucky!” Quickly, he reached to his right arm with his left, and tapped some buttons on the control panel. 2-0-2-5.

Moments later a silver doorway had opened in front him, which the robot lunged towards.
“We can’t let him get away again!” Jack yelled, as he and the three other Red Rangers threw themselves at the light, and vanished through the doorway.

With that, the street became quiet again, with Quantron’s patrolling through the dark night.

*
“I hope Andros is ok.” Ashley whispered to Cassie as the pair sat around a fire. “He is the only one who can stop this.”
“He’ll be fine.” The Pink Ranger responded. “He has never let us down before. He will end this, I promise.”

Crap. I just reread chapter three, and noticed a great part is missing, because I THOUGHT I copied it to my friend on MSN, but i must have cut it. It was one of my favourite parts of the chapter, and story, so here is that section in full...

My origanal post missed out the Fire Ranger comment, and Jacks roll call.

Chapter 5

“What?” Jack yelled as he materialised through the time portal once again, looking up at the dark skyline above him which was littered with dark buildings, many damaged and crumbling. “Where are we? This isn’t New Tech City.” The streets were empty, scarred with burn marks and faint traces of blood, obviously left from conflict long ago.

“He typed in 2025.” Andros shrugged, as he powered down, revealing his grey Astro Megaship uniform, as the others did the same. “We know the time machine can teleport between places as well as time, that’s how he got to Angel Grove from your base. Maybe he transported us somewhere else on Earth.”

“Interesting.” Jason said loudly, his suit vanishing as he stepped forward. “But what I want to know is what the hell is going on here.”
“Steady Jase.” Tommy said, placing a hand on his friends shoulder. “I’m sure Andros here will explain.” The Zeo Ranger looked over to the male, who had a hand in his long hair nervously. Tommy had never met Andros before, but had heard about him from his old friend Adam.
“I wish I could.” The Kovarian shrugged, “but Jack is probably the best one to do that.”

“I’ll try.” The unmorphed SPD Officer replied, straightening his SPD jacket. “But I’m a little confused myself.”

**

Psycho Red looked around at his new surroundings. He had set the machine to send him back to where he had come from, New Tech City in 2025. However, things seemed very different. The towering structure of the Delta Base was gone, and the streets were deserted. Perhaps there had been a malfunction with the teleportation, because the device attached to his arm said the year was indeed 2025.

Psycho Red’s processors were relatively idle, with no strange orders being shouted in to his head they were back to concentrating on their main objective. But how was this so? The Rangers could not have followed him again, surely? Perhaps it was another Red Ranger that needed eliminating.

With that thought, Psycho Red marched down the dark street, the moonlight illuminating his armour as flames from a burnt out car licked at the air around him.

**

“So you have no idea why Psycho Red would have travelled to the past?” Tommy said to Jack as the four Rangers sat around a small fire that they had found abandoned in a back street. The area reminded Andros of where the civilians of Angel Grove had taken refuge when he said his goodbye to Ashley. Maybe now he wouldn’t see her again after all.
“No.” Jack shook his head. “It mentioned a mistress, who was probably one of our enemies, Morgana, but I have no idea why she and Gruumm would send Psycho Red back to your time.”
“Well, that helps.” Jason said, slightly annoyed. “We are stuck here, wherever, and whenever, here is, and we don’t even know why.”
“And that’s my fault?” Jack snapped back, rising to his feet as Jason did the same. “I’m in exactly the same situation as you.”
“Guys!” Tommy and Andros shouted in unison, prompting the other two Rangers to return to their sitting positions.
“Sorry man.” Jason said quietly, looking at Jack. “I wasn’t blaming anything on anyone.” Jack nodded silently, regretting loosing his cool. In his last few months as a Power Ranger, his teamwork had been put to the test but now he was realising its importance.
“Right then.” Andros added quietly. “First we need to work out where we are.” He looked up to the entrance of the alleyway, to see several pairs of familiar yellow eyes glaring at him.

“You are trespassing on ground belonging to the Empress Astromena.” Came a tinny voice from the end of the alley, as a squad of silver clad Quantrons approached the four Rangers.
“Astromena?” Andros yelled, flying to his feet at the mention of his sister.
“Empress Astromena.” The Quantron corrected.
“What about Gruumm?” Jack yelled, also on his feet with the others.
“Gruumm?” The grunt said, as his group got closer to the Rangers, weapons drawn and held to the sky. “I have never heard of a ‘Gruum’. This planet, and the universe is under the rule of Empress Astromena, and has been since the invasion of the United Alliance of Evil in 1998. Not that that matters. You are all under arrest, and shall be transferred to the work camp in Angel Grove immediately.”

“What!” Tommy and Jason yelled together, both flying in to a fighting stance. With no hesitation the two Rangers charged forward, quickly followed by Jack and Andros. The Quantrons responded in kind, rushing in with their club like weapons ready. Tommy struck first, a powerful kick to the stomach sending the first Quantron flying backwards in to two of it’s comrades. He had thought Putties, Tenga, Cogs and Quantrons, but the Zeo Ranger knew these were the most powerful foot soldiers he had faced. Narrowly dodging a swinging club, Tommy threw a punch in to a Qauntrons’ chest. He had little idea of what was going on. He had jumped through the portal on instinct, to stop Psycho Red, but now the machine had vanished. Jack and Andros had explained everything they knew but it still wasn’t adding up. Angel Grove had now become a slave camp, something Jack hadn’t mentioned, and the SPD Ranger had definitely not recognised their location. Somehow, the future must have been changed.

Jason, meanwhile had thrown a punch at another of the attackers, only to be blocked. The Ranger responded quickly, attacking the opponents unguarded chest with his other fist. The Red Ranger launched himself agiley in to the air, performing a quick spin kick, which struck the helmets of three silver Quantrons. Jason, like Tommy, was confused about the whole situation, but there wasn’t time for explanation now. Now he had to fight, and if his home had indeed been turned in to a work camp, he would have to fight to free it. He had fought too hard in the past to save Angel Grove to let it be taken over now.

Jack ducked an incoming punch, quickly retaliating with a kick to the stomach, sending the Quantron to the floor. The SPD Ranger had no time to rest, however, as another two of the silver clad soldiers pounced on him. Quickly looking around, Jack could see more and more of the warriors flooding in to the small area. He knew something wasn’t right, Astromena was defeated in 1998 by the so-called Z-Wave, and her troops had not been seen since. Angel Grove was still a peaceful haven, not a labour camp as the Quantron had described it. It was then that the SPD Ranger worked it all out, as he looked over to Andros who was fighting his attackers off skilfully, blocking each attack. The Ranger didn’t have much more time to work on his theory, however, as he was thrown to the floor by even more Quantrons, which had now filled the area, creating a sea of silver in the dark alley.

With a powerful rage, Andros threw yet another Quantron to the ground, not hesitating before striking another, followed by a third. A fourth fell as the fifth attacked, quickly proceeded by a sixth. Andros didn’t care if he had to fight a hundred more of the warriors, he had to get to Karone. He was sure back in the past that he could save her, but he must have failed. Now, however, he was going to succeed. Looking to his fellow Rangers, Andros saw that Jack had fallen, and was now being dragged to his feet by Quantrons. Jason and Tommy were also fighting bravely, but the pair had been backed in to a corner, with little chance of escape.

“So we meet again, Red Ranger.” Came the unforgettable voice of Ecilptor, as he appeared behind his old Kovarian foe. “Long time no see, where have you spent the last twenty seven years, anyway?”
“Where’s my sister?” Andros roared, turning to face the large creature, his black armour out lined with green highlights. The monster merely laughed, as Andros fell forward, taking a strike from a Qauntron club and collapsed to his knees.
“Arrest the others!” Ecliptor roared, gesturing to the struggling Rangers. “I’ll take care of this one myself.”

Tommy swore to himself as his arms were thrust behind his back, and chained together. He knew he should have tried to morph earlier, but he never found a chance. At least this warrior didn’t know he Jack and Jason were Power Rangers, something they could use to their advantage. Jason’s mouth was curled in a snarl as the Quantrons handcuffed him, the Ranger struggling constantly. The pair had never been defeated for good before, and they were not going to let this be the first time.

**
“Impossible!” The empress roared as she stared at the view screen in the Dark Fortress, which was orbiting the Earth. Even though she now ruled the planet, she much preferred to stay in space, ready to travel to another of her planets at any time.

“It’s him alright!” Elgar said loudly, as he leant towards the screen, looking at Andros’ streaked hair. “Looks pretty young too!”
“I had noticed that.” The woman, still with short red hair, said as she struck Elgar’s large forehead with the back of her hand. “This must have been where he vanished too all of those years ago. Quantrons!” She suddenly shouted. “Prepare a cell for when Ecliptor returns. I want to give my brother a warm welcome!”

“He’s back?” Came a quite voice from behind Astromena, as the doors slid open.
“Yes my dear.” She responded, running her gloved hand through the new figures blonde hair, her other hand on his shoulder which was covered by a black uniform with grey features. “Soon we shall all be reunited!”

After a while, Chapter 6

“Well, this is great.” Jason mumbled, as he sat on board the transport ship. The interior was very bland, each side fitted with bench like seats, on which the Red Ranger sat, handcuffed, next to Tommy, with Jack opposite them.
“It’s not exactly what I had planned doing today either.” Jack said quietly.
“I’m glad I’m not from your future,” Jason replied, “if your SPD protects the universe. Because so far, I’m not impressed.” He glared across at the younger Ranger, whose face curled in to a snarl. With his handcuffed arms, Tommy gently nudged his old friend. He knew he was only acting this way out of anger, but that wouldn’t help right now.

“Excuse me,” Came a new voice, from the teenage girl sitting next to Jack, “Did you say he is from SPD?”
“Yes, I am.” Jack said, turning to the blonde girl, his tone brightening up. “What do you know about them? Where is the Earth HQ?”
“What?” The girl replied. “There is no Earth HQ. SPD was defeated before they could even leave Sirius by Astromena. That’s why I was so surprised to here you were a member.”
Jacks face dropped his last drop of hope gone.
“I shouldn’t exist.” He whispered to himself. “SPD is the reason I am me, the reason I have my powers. I’m an anachronism.” He stopped, realising he was sounding a little like Bridge.

It was then it hit him. Bridge probably didn’t exist either. Nor did any of the others, in all likelihood. Cruger may have been alive, but if SPD Sirius fell, he was most likely dead by now.

“Aren’t we all.” Jason said, shrugging.
“What else can you tell us?” Jack said, quickly turning to the girl again. “What about Gruumm, Doggie Cruger?”
“I’ve never heard of them.” She snapped back, getting annoyed with the questioning. “Astromena rules the galaxy, and her underlings are in charge of the different planets. How can you not know that, have you been living under a rock or something?”
Jack looked down at the floor again. If it was Gruumm and Morgana who had sent Psycho Red it seemed that their plan had backfired.
“Underlings?” Tommy added, leaning towards the stranger with interest, ignoring her rude question. “Such as who?”
“Like Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, who are in charge of the Earth.”

Tommy and Jason simply looked at each other. They knew things were different, but this was worse than they had imagined.

“How did this happen?” Tommy asked loudly. “How come no one could stop it?”
“Quiet!” The girl snapped, as she saw a Qauntron at the far end of the room turn its head towards them. “You’ll get me in trouble.”
“It happened in 1998.” Jack answered, looking down at the silver floor. “That invasion that was happening when we left, I think Andros was the one who was meant to stop it.”
“Great.” Jason responded. “So now, even if we do find a way back, we need to find Space-Boy first, otherwise it’s pointless.”
“Then that’s what we are going to have to do.” Tommy shrugged. “If we find Psycho Red, we can get the Time Control and get back.”
“We need to get out of these first.” Jason added, gesturing to the shackles around his hands.
“I’ve got that sorted.” Jack said quietly, looking to the girl who had now turned away from him. “Leave it to me.”
“Right.” Tommy nodded, as the three leant towards each other. “Here’s what we do.”

**

“It certainly is good to see you again.” Ecliptor roared, as he paced before Andros, who was shackled to the wall of a smaller transport ship. “Your sister will be very pleased once you arrive. I hear she has a room put by for you especially.”
“You’re taking me to Karone?” Andros said groggily, his head hanging low. His arms were chained above his head, his uniform’s sleeves falling down his arms.
“You fool!” Ecliptor roared. “Karone does not exist. She has not existed for a long time now. She is Astromena, the Empress of the universe, and the leader of the United Alliance of Evil. We will arrive at the Fortress soon, and if you are lucky you might even get the chance to see a few of your old friends.” The large monster chuckled for a moment. “Although they may not be up for talking.”
“What?” Andros said quietly. “Who do you mean?”
“Who do you think?” Ecliptor said, looking the Kovarian straight in the eye as he marched closer. “Your old Ranger friends.”
“No!” Andros shouted back. “You’re lying. Karone wouldn’t, she couldn’t.”
“Karone couldn’t.” Ecliptor corrected. “But Astromena would be more than happy to see them suffer.”

Andros looked around the room as Ecliptor turned his back. Quantrons were guarding the door, so even if he could break free of the chains holding his arms and legs to the wall he would have a fight on his hands. Perhaps the best thing to do would be to wait.

**

“Soon you will see him again.” Zhane said quietly, as he walked along a narrow walkway, which was situated infront of four small glass tanks, which resembled the ones in the Power Chamber. The Silver Ranger had never seen the Chamber himself, but had seen the plans in the Megaship’s computer, left there by Zordon. Now, in these four tubes were the weak bodies of four of his former friends.

“Zhane.” Ashley muttered weakly, as she looked down on the now middle aged Ranger. He could barley look at her. Like the others, she was incredibly thin, her clothes almost hanging off of her. She had lost track of the time she had spent in the chamber, time had started to blend together. There was no longer morning or night, only life in the tube, being kept just alive by Astromena. She could have killed them on that day twenty seven years ago, but this was a fate worse than death.

“He will be here soon.” Zhane said, looking at the floor. By all rights, he too should have aged, be hanging on to the last thread of life, but he looked almost the same, also an effect of Astromena’s power. As he walked through the small room he could feel their eyes looking down at him. Ashley, T.J, Carlos and Cassie. The Power Rangers.

**

Else where on the ship, another prisoner stood, un-visited for years, trapped in the energy tube he had been in for millennia. It wasn’t meant to be like this, he knew it. This wasn’t what he had seen happening.

For the best part of three decades, all he had seen was this room, the door protected by Quantrons. After everything he had done in his life, was this how the great Zordon’s future would be?

**

Meanwhile, above the streets of Angel Grove, the silver transport shuttle started to loose altitude, swooping down towards the charred streets. From the small windows, Jason and Tommy could just about see the wreckage that was their hometown. Trees were withered and fallen, the skyscrapers that remained standing looked as if they would collapse at any moment. As they flew over head, the two Rangers recognised what had once been their high school. Unlike the rest of the town, it was lit by two large spotlights, which were mounted on metal frames.

Turning as much as he could, Tommy pressed his face to the window that was behind him as he saw groups of Quantrons marching from the main entrance of the school.

“What’s going on?” Jason said, puzzled, as he turned to Tommy.

The Zeo Ranger didn’t have time to respond, however, as the ship shook as it landed in the courtyard of the school.

“We have arrived.” The Quantron guard barked. “You will now be assessed, and sent to the relevant work camp.”

“I hope your plan works.” Jason whispered, leaning towards Jacks ear as he was pulled to his feet by the silver footsoldiers.

“Quiet!” The Quantron roared. “You are lucky you are just being sent to the work camps, so don’t push it.”

The three Rangers marched in a row out of the ship, out in to the familiar surroundings of the school. Several other prisoners, including the girl who had spoken to them earlier, were walking silently, following the Quantron at the front.

Jason turned his head slightly to look at Jack. If he had a plan, now would be the time to use it. The SPD Ranger knew this, however, as he closed his eyes, concentrating. The next second, Jacks hands had passed effortlessly through the handcuffs, which fell to the floor with a loud crash.

The Quantron’s reacted immediately, as four of them charged at Jack. Tommy and Jason looked at him, as the other prisoners took advantage of the distraction, and ran. Jack quickly struck the nearest foe’s arm, knocking his weapon from it. Wasting no time, Jack lunged forward, catching the blade before it hit the floor, and swung it towards the soldier. As the Quantron hit the ground, Jack ran towards Jason and Tommy, who had attracted attention to themselves by not running.

“I don’t know how you did that,” Jason said, backing away from the approaching Quantron, “but I’m impressed.”
“Thanks,” Jack said, not smiling, “but it’s not over yet.” Getting behind the other Rangers, Jack swung the stolen sword, shattering the chain of Jason’s cuffs, before freeing Tommy too.

“That’s more like it.” Tommy shouted, flexing his arms, and cracking his knuckles, the broken cuffs still around his wrists. “Now let’s show them what we are made of.”

“Right!” Jason yelled. “It’s Morphin Time!”

“Tyrannosaurus!” Jason held out his morpher, before he was suited in to the familiar red spandex. His helmet formed around his head, the teeth around his visor resembling a roaring Tyrannosaurus.
“Zeo Ranger Five! Red!” Locking his Zeonizers together, Tommy activated his Ranger power, as the star shaped visor materialised in front of his eyes.
SPD Emergency!” Jack pulled his morpher from his back pocket, and pressed the activation button, replacing his SPD uniform with his Ranger suit. His helmet sirens blared as the transformation was complete.

Quickly, the Rangers sprung in to action as more Quantrons poured from the school’s entrance. Jason’s fist sent a Qauntron flying back in to one of its allies, as Jack performed a low kick, knocking three of the warriors to the floor.

Tommy’s gold trimmed boot slammed in to a Qauntrons’ chest, before he punched another in the skull, sending it reeling. The odds were looking up, he thought, before taking out another Quantron. He knew it was a bad situation, but Tommy loved it. He was fighting for his live, for the world, for the past and the future. He was so caught up in the battle, as far as he was concerned there was only himself and the opponents.

But he was wrong, miles way, a group of familiar faces were watching him.

**

The Moon Palace

“Zeddy!” Rita shouted, as she turned away from her telescope, “There’s a problem at the Angel Grove School site!”

“Then send Rito and Goldar!” Zedd barked, as he marched in to the central chamber, radiating a red energy from his body.

“I think you might want to see this!” The witch replied, wearing her usual attire of a long brown dress, with matching headdress.

“Fine!” Zedd roared, flexing his arms, which seemed to be pure muscle, with only a metal exo-skeleton made of a shiny silver material that matched his visor and mouthplate.

Lord Zedd grabbed Rita’s telescope impatiently, as he looked towards the school.

“What!” He roared, pushing the device away, leaving the telescope spinning on it’s stand. “Impossible!”

Chapter 7

“How nice to see you again.” Came Astromena’s harsh voice as she entered the room in which Andros had been taken too. “We all thought you’d ran away, all that time ago.”

“Karone!” Andros shouted, struggling in the chains which held him to the wall of the Dark Fortress. He had contemplated making his move whilst he was being transported from the ship to the base, but considered it to be too much of a risk. At least now he had been taken to his sister, and wouldn’t have to find her himself.

Much like the prison section on the transport, the room was black and silver, lit by a pale blue light. Astromena had her back to Andros, who could see that she was sporting the same look as she was twenty seven years ago.

“Don’t call me that!” Astromena roared, raising her staff to the air as she turned to face her brother. “Karone died a long time ago, along with this galaxy’s hope of survival, and your miserable friends.”
“No!” Andros shouted. “You couldn’t have. Not Ashley and the others.”
“Well,” Astromena said, looking Andros straight in the eye. “Not quite dead. I mean, with death the pain is over quite quickly, isn’t it?”
“What?” Andros shouted, fighting back a tear of emotion as he looked at his sister, clad in her black armour. “They’re still alive? Then where are they?” He glared back at her, noticing her face was also exactly the same, obviously the effect of her powers keeping her from ageing.
“Right here, on the Fortress.” Astromena said, turning away from the Red Ranger again. “Though I doubt you will get to see them. I have been waiting a long while for this moment, and as soon as the preparations are complete you shall be destroyed, by my hands.”
“Preparations?” Andros said, puzzled, but relived, as it would buy him some time.
“Yes.” Astromena replied, turning away from the Ranger before walking towards the door. “I want the whole of my Empire to witness me destroy you.”

Tommy quickly span sideways, out of the path of an incoming Quantron blade, before flying back towards it’s owner and striking him in the side with his own Zeo Power Sword. A powerful kick sent another Quantron reeling to the floor, before the blade slashed in to another. The huge searchlights beamed down on him as more Quantrons charged towards him, brandishing their silver weapons. The Zeo Ranger steadied himself as the next wave approached, and he threw himself in to the fray once again.

Jack slashed in to a large group of Quantrons, swinging the two silver blades he had acquired quickly and viscously. The Ranger was used to blasters, but enjoyed fighting with such weapons. The Commander had trained him on various occasions, just in case the situation should ever occur, such as it did when the Red Ranger was called upon to face Katana, a Samurai from the past. With thoughts of the Commander in his head, Jack swung again, roaring in anger as his foes crumpled to the ground.

Jason looked behind him for a moment, as he threw a Quantron over his shoulder, and saw the looming building of the school. The place his Power Ranger career had begun. He had only been a young teenager back then, when Zordon had called on Billy, Zack, Trini, Kimberly and himself to fight against Rita. He had changed a lot since then, had become more grown up and mature. However, one thing hadn’t changed. He still had to fight for his home, for his planet.

Just then, a figure appeared a figure that reminded Jason even more of his past as a Power Ranger. Tommy stepped back from the mess of fallen Quantrons as he looked at the arrival, his silver armour gleaming in the bright artificial light.

“Hello Tommy.” Zedd roared, as he glared at the Zeo Ranger through his visor, which was glowing a deep crimson. “How nice to see you back.”
“Zedd!” Tommy roared, raising his sword to the air. “It’s been a long time, but I’m putting an end to this. Now.” The Ranger charged forward, his face twisted in to an invisible snarl beneath his helmet, his sword ready to strike Zedd’s fleshy body, when the villains’ staff started to crackle with energy.
“I wouldn’t be so sure!” Zedd roared, pointing his staff, which was topped with a large “Z” at the Ranger.

Jason and Jack could only look on as Tommy and Zedd vanished from their sight in a blast of white energy.
“Tommy!” Jason roared through his helmet, as he struck another Quantron in the chest, before kicking another away. Jack also continued fighting, skilfully handling the two Quantron blades.
“Don’t worry Jason.” Came another familiar voice from above the two Rangers. “We have plans for you too.” Jason looked up to the sky when he heard the snarling voice, and saw an old foe flying down towards him.
“Goldar!” The Red Ranger roared, diving sideways to dodge the flying simian.
“In the flesh.” The blue faced monster roared, his powerful black wings flapping powerfully as his huge frame shifted position, flying horizontally towards the Red Ranger.

Jason stood , glaring at Goldar through his visor, before charging towards the beast, letting out an almighty roar to challenge that of his dinosaur, the Tyrannosaurus. The golden armoured titan continued to charge forward, as his red eyes started to glow, launching two rays of energy forward. Jason had no time to react before the beams hit, and he too vanished along with Goldar.

“Then there was one.” Jack hissed, impaling a foe on one of his blades, before launching them both across the courtyard. The second blade sliced in to the arm of yet another Quantron, who was sent flying as the SPD Ranger kicked him in the chest. He knew things weren’t looking good. Jack Landors was in a future that wasn’t meant to happen, where he probably shouldn’t exist, where SPD no longer existed. He was alone completely now, and it was up to him to find a way to fix the time line.

Then, something caught his eye on the roof of the school. His way home, because perched upon the roof of the building was the menacing figure of Psycho Red.

**

The silver blade hovered above the floor of the Dark Fortress, as Andros concentrated as hard as he could. It had taken him years to develop his telekinetic powers, and now he was wishing he had practised more. The Ranger was finding it hard to relax with his arms and legs chained to the wall, but had never the less managed to pull the weapon from the back of a passing Quantron without it’s owner noticing. Closing his eyes, the Kovarian pictured the blade flying towards him, swinging powerfully through the air.

There was a clash of metal on metal, as the Ranger felt his right arm become free. With another loud sound his left arm was released. Andros continued to concentrate, his eyes tightly closed, as the blade shattered the chains holding his legs. With a sigh of relief he walked forwards from the wall, gently lowering the blade to the floor. He had half the mind to take it with him, but he was sure he could deal with Quantrons without it.

Now he was free, it was time to carry on with his plan. He had to find the others, Carlos, Cassie, T.J, Ashley and Zhane. He just still couldn’t believe that Karone could do such a thing to his friends, especially Zhane. Andros quickly marched out of the room, in to a dark corridor. On his right was a doorway, which he poked his head around, before almost fainting in shock.

“No.” He muttered, running in to the room towards the four tubes on the wall. “No.” He looked up to his friends, their bodies thin and malnourished, looking almost dead. “A fate worse than death.” He muttered, repeating his sister’s words from earlier.
“Andros?” Came the weak hiss of Ashley from her tube.
“It’s me.” He confirmed, as tears started to flow down his cheek. His friends were dressed in uniforms similar to his own, their undershirts coloured according to their Ranger designation. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. They all looked so old, and ill. The uniforms were hanging off of their bodies. Ashley hadn’t replied to him, her head hanging weakly.

Then the Kovarian noticed something was missing.
“Where’s Zhane?” He said loudly, looking across at the four Rangers again. At the end of the room, next to Cassie was an empty space presumably for another tube.

“I’m right here.” Came a voice behind Andros, who turned around to see his old friend, looking almost identical to when he had left Angel Grove twenty seven years ago.
“What?” The Red Ranger shouted. “Why are you free? Why has she not done this to you?” Deep down Andros knew why, but it ripped him apart to accept it.

“I had to, Andros.” Zhane said, walking towards him slowly. “It was the only way out, and you know how I feel about her.”
“No.” Andros said, “No!” The repetition was a loud shout that echoed through the corridors of the base. “You didn’t even try and help them?”
“You know what would have happened to me if I had.” Zhane replied, looking at the floor, before facing his friend and extending his hand. Andros looked at him straight in the eye. He couldn’t believe he was hearing this from Zhane. He then looked at the floor, and noticed something on the Silver Ranger’s hand. A large black ring around his finer, decorated with silver and purple jewels.
“I’m sorry you had to see them like this.” Zhane said, lowering his hand when Andros did not respond. “But it only happened because you ran away. We were over powered Andros. They ripped us to pieces. The citizens of Angel Grove were willing to sacrifice themselves to protect us, they claimed to be the Power Rangers. We all fought together, for as long as we could, but they kept coming.”

Andros looked straight at the ground again. That’s what had gone wrong, he had entered the time portal. All of this was his fault.

“I’m sorry to have to do this, brother in law.” Zhane continued, “but I’m going to have to take you back to your cell. Astromena will be ready for you soon.”
“No way.” Andros shouted, looking Zhane straight in the eyes again. “She may have gotten to you, to them, but I’m not going out like this.”
“Don’t make me do this.” Zhane threatened, grabbing his Digimorpher from his Megaship uniform. Andros stepped back, as he prepared to flip open his Astromorpher.

Together, both friends activated their morphers, quietly muttering together.
“Let’s Rocket!”

The two Rangers stood still, each looking at their friend through their black visors. Both were reluctant to strike first, wishing the situation was different. Andros couldn’t believe what he had done to the planet, and his friends. He was finding it hard to take in that his best friend could have acted so selfishly, saving himself and getting on with life, not trying to save the others, or stop Astromena’s rule.

The Silver Ranger, however, knew he had been faced with no choice. The decision hadn’t been easy, but having been faced with a life of non-stop suffering, or living freely with the woman he loved, there was only one viable action. The others were a lost cause, there was no way Astromena would have spared them, especially after they refused to tell her where Andros had vanished too. Similarly, Zhane hated to have to fight his old friend, but it had to be done. At times he wished his wife had put some kind of control spell over him, to make things like this easier for him. It had to be, and unfortunately he had to do it. He knew exactly what Astromena had planned for the Red Ranger, and that he would be delivering his friend to certain death.

“Just come with me Andros.” Zhane said softly, breaking the silence. “It will make things much easier for you later on.”
“I don’t see how.” The Red Ranger replied, taking up a fighting stance.
“I will be much more forgiving than your sister.” The Silver Ranger explained, approaching his old friend. “Why don’t you do it the easy way, and just come with me?”
“Well, I’m not going with anyone.” Andros said boldly. “So it looks like we’re going to have to do it the hard way.” For a moment the Kovarian was unsure of his actions. Normally he would not have thought of attacking Zhane, his oldest friend, but there seemed to be little choice, if he was too fix this mess.

The Red Ranger charged, his fist flying at Zhane’s chest, taking the Silver Ranger by surprise as he stumbled back slightly. The Red Ranger attacked again, striking the green squares across the Silver Ranger’s chest. Zhane recovered quickly, launching towards his old friend powerfully.
“There was nothing I could do Andros!” Zhane shouted from beneath his helmet, as the Red Ranger blocked his attack.
“I don’t believe you!” Andros roared back, “You’re a Power Ranger. We never give up. On anything.” The Kovarians mind suddenly went to the four humans held behind him. “On anyone.”
Andros’ next attack was blocked by Zhane’s own arm, before retaliating with a powerful low kick, which sent Andros reeling to the floor.
“Then what did you do?” Zhane responded, rather calmly, walking along the smooth silver floor. “You gave up on us. You ran away, and now you are blaming me for my actions? I had no choice. You did.”
“I didn’t know.” Andros muttered, as he slowly opened his eyes. The impact of his helmet on the hard floor had rocked through his head intensely. As the room became visible again, the first thing Andros saw was the limp body of Ashley on the wall behind him, her sunken eyes looking down at him. Her head was still hanging, her body being held in a standing position by various chains. Looking forward, from his position on his back, he could see the Silver Ranger getting closer. He hated to have to continue this, but it was the only way. He had to get out of here and back to his own time, to stop any of this from ever happening.

Quickly, and without warning, Andros sprung to his feet and charged in to Zhane, his shoulder slamming in to the Ranger’s chest with a huge force. Stopping as he hit the back wall, Zhane groaned as pain shot up his spine.
“Nice try.” He said weakly, as a silver blade like weapon appeared on his arm. “But not good enough. Super Silverizer!” With one fast swipe, the Silver Ranger’s weapon struck Andros’ chest, sending a barrage of sparks flying from his suit, along with a black char mark on the white stripe across it. Regaining his balance, Andros held his own arm to the air, producing the Spiral Sabre from the Morphin’ Grid. Zhane continued to run towards Andros, his blade swinging inches from the Red Ranger’s chest, before Andros swung his own weapon, its spiral blade striking the Silverizer. Zhane pulled away quickly, before swinging his arm higher, only to be blocked once again by the Spiral Sabre. Pushing with all his strength, Andros could feel that he had the advantage. Zhane was struggling against him, as the two Rangers both tried to break the other’s guard.

“I’m going to stop all this, Zhane.” Andros said, as he continued to keep a tight grip on his trusty weapon. “None of this ever has to happen. Just let me go.”
“What are you talking about?” The Silver Ranger shouted, the arm that his weapon was attached too growing tired.
“I need to get out of here, so I can go back in time and stop any of this from ever happening.” The Red Ranger responded.
“You always were a dreamer.” Zhane said, shaking his head inside his helmet. “Just like your dreamt that you would ever get Karone back.”

For Andros, that was it. He was here, in an alternate future, which was doomed because of him, fighting his best friend. All he needed was a comment about his sister to throw him over the edge.

“I will get her back!” He roared, his scream echoing through the base as he broke Zhane’s guard, and struck his friend in the chest. “I will stop any of this from happening.” Zhane stumbled as the Spiral Sabre crashed in to his stomach again, and he fell through the doorway in to the next room. In his enraged state, Andros could see that the room was made out of narrow metal walkways, with deep chasms between them. Each of these pits had large glass tubes coming up from below, traversing higher in to the fortress. Inside these structures the Ranger could see what he presumed to be electrical energy to power the various structures of the base.

Zhane had recovered quickly, and had managed to make his way to the other end of one of the walkways, his weapon in its blaster mode. Andros ducked quickly as a blast of energy shot towards him; he knew how powerful the Silverizer was. The Red Ranger quickly ran to his right, as Zhane continued to fire, following his prey’s movements. Laser blasts hit the walls as Andros ran past one of the large glass tubes. Zhane was fighting with himself inside his head. Perhaps none of this did have to happen, but what if Andros was wrong? He fired again, shouting loudly a moment later as he realised what he had done.

Suddenly, the Red Ranger found himself on his knees as the whole room shook. Glass showered down on him, as the loose energy crackled through the air, free of its container. The substance seemed electrical in nature, with a yellow and light blue colouring.
“Zhane!” Andros yelled, keeping low as the energy, clearly not normal electricity as he had first thought, surged through the room, various yellow and blue bolts striking in the walkways and walls, blasting small segments from them. The wall above the exit had taken the most damage, with the doorway now being covered with debis. Andros could move it, but not quickly enough to avoid getting struck himself. “We have to get out of here!”
“I think,” The Silver Ranger said weakly, as he walked from behind Andros, “that only one of us is getting out of here.”
“Zhane,” Andros pleaded. “We have to stop this now.”
“You don’t understand.” The Silver Ranger said, as a bolt of energy struck the wall opposite them. He knew Andros was right. He had heard the determination in Andros’ voice. Somehow, he could get Karone back, and if he could stop any of this from happening, he had to let him. Until a few moments ago, the Silver Ranger would have turned his friend over to Astromena for execution. But he couldn’t now. Not now that he was going to die. In a split second he realised it, as soon as he had hit that tube. If things could be better, as Andros said, he had to give the Ranger a chance.

“Zhane!” Andros shouted, as he noticed his friend had stopped running, and had taken his Digimorpher in to his hand.
“Go!” Zhane replied. “You can’t save me now, but you can save us all in the past.”
Andros nodded, as he darted away form his friend, not looking back as he heard Zhane’s screams as the energy was drawn in to the morpher, surging through his body. With the room safe once again, Andros head a large crash against the walkway as Zhane collapsed.

The Ranger knew he couldn’t look back, as he headed for the other exit. He didn’t get far, however, as a female figure appeared in the doorway.

“Karone!” Andros shouted in surprise, as he recognised her body armour and hair from the distance he was at.
“So, you escaped.” Astromena hissed, holding her staff high, and pointing it at Andros, before her gaze caught the fallen figure behind him. “Zhane! What have you done!” She screamed, running at the Ranger.
“I didn’t.” Andros gasped, as Karone swung her staff at him, launching the Ranger back along the long walkway. “He sacrificed himself to save me.”

“Liar!” Astromena roared, as she approached her brother again. “Why would he do that?”
“So I could stop any of this from ever happening.” Andros replied, climbing to his feet. “So I could save the planet, the universe, you, and now Zhane.” The Ranger looked in to his sister’s eyes. “Please Karone, you have to let me.”
“Let you take all this away from me?” She laughed. “I am the ruler of the Universe, and you think I will give that up? Even if Zhane is dead, I am not.” She paused, looking over at the Silver Ranger. “Which is more than you will be able to say in a moment.”

Andros dodged sideways, as a blast of energy shot from Astromena’s staff. He dodged again, and again, trying to get some distance between himself and his sister. Producing his Spiral Sabre, Andros walked backwards slowly, waiting for Astromena’s next attack. He couldn’t fight her, he knew that, especially after what had happened to Zhane. He just had to stay alive long enough to escape.

Astromena’s whole staff crackled with energy, releasing a red blast of electricity towards Andros, who quickly defended himself with his weapon. The attack hit, with unexpected results. Before he knew what was happening, the blast was headed back at Astromena, striking her in the chest.

“No!” He yelled, as his sister fell forwards, her staff falling to the walkway first. “No!”

Chapter 9

Jason snarled as he recognised where he was, the thick mist on the ground covering his black trainers as he stepped forward. Around the edge of the small arena like dimension were green bars, creating make shift walls. There was nothing else distinctive about this place, apart from the memories. And, just as the first time he had appeared here, he wasn’t alone. Also like the first time, his morpher had gone.

“I never could work out how you did that Goldar!” Jason roared at his old foe, who stood at the other side of the Dark Dimension, his own sword in one hand and Jason’s morpher in the other.
“Let’s just call it my party trick!” Goldar laughed back, waving the Power Morpher in the air, his large golden hand wrapped around it.
“All these years on, and your still using the same old tricks? Doesn’t that get old?” Jason responded, preparing himself for battle.
“Not as old as having to dispose of you meddling Power Brats.” Goldar responded, stepping forward, his sword in the air. “Although now there’s only three of you left, plus that new guy, you should soon be out of our hair forever.” Quickly, the monster charged at Jason, his sword swinging close to the Ranger’s stomach as he jumped backwards.
“Only us?” Jason questioned, ducking another attack, before launching himself in to the air and performing an agile spin kick at the winged warrior. With great accuracy, Jason’s foot struck his target’s chest, sending him stumbling backwards.

“Yes. After we hunted your friends down.” Goldar hissed, recovering from the impact. “Myself and Lord Zedd took great pleasure in ending all of your miserable lives, personally.”
“No!” Jason screamed, as Goldar’s sword came flying at him again. The impact was immense, as pain shot down his shoulder, sending the Ranger reeling to the floor. All he could do was look up at Goldar as he stepped closer, the dim lighting in the dimension highlighting his golden armour.
“Just like I shall end yours now.” Goldar continued. The Ranger could smell Goldar’s breath as the beast leant down towards him, glaring at him with bright red eyes. Strands of thick black hair hung down towards him, the large clumps ended with a claw like growth. Goldar had his sword blade downwards now, as he leant on the handle with one hand.

Suddenly, the titan stumbled, as the weight he was putting on the blade shifted sideways as the sword was struck by Jason’s foot and tumbled to the floor. With no hesitation Jason sprung to his feet, kicking Goldar’s other hand as he did, sending the morpher flying in to the air.
“No!” Goldar roared, his cry echoing through the Dark Dimension, as Jason jumped in to the air, towards the device, his arm outstretched.

“Tyrannosaurus!” He yelled, as soon as he could feel the morpher in his hands, and immediately he felt the power surge through his body, granting him the power and strength of the Red Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger. The Ranger landed perfectly, his boots covered by the fog once again as he stood to face Goldar.

“Don’t think that will save you.” Goldar snarled, climbing to his feet and spreading his wings. “You think the other’s didn’t try that too? But with no one to help them, no Zordon, no Zords, it was only a matter of time before Zedd had a nice collection of Morphers to give to Rita as a present.”
“No one’s getting their hands on this one.” Jason challenged, placing his hands around the device on his belt.

Unable to see his weapon, Goldar charged forwards, launching a kick at the Ranger’s chest, only to see Jason dodge at the last moment. A white boot soon slammed in to Goldar’s shoulder as the Ranger struck with a powerful spinning kick, before landing and punching Goldar’s armoured chest. The warrior fell to the floor, feeling his arm hit something underneath the mist.
“Ah.” He said, grinning, showing two large white fangs. “Just what I needed.”

Goldar flew up and forward, just hovering above the ground, as he swung his weapon at the Power Ranger. The Power Sword took the impact, before Jason went in for his own attack, knocking Goldar to his feet. The swords clashed again, as Zedd’s warrior roared attempting to break Jason’s guard. The Red Ranger wasn’t going to let that happen, however, as he struck back with an equal force. Goldar retaliated again, pushing Jason backwards, towards the electrical bars.

The Ranger wasn’t backing down, but Goldar’s weight was too much, and he could feel himself slipping backwards. A surge of energy through his spine told him that he had made contact with the bars, as Goldar swung again. Even with the pain, Jason moved quickly, dodging the strike. There was a clash as the sword hit the metal bars, and pieces of them shattered, leaving a weakened spot.

Goldar had pulled away quickly as the electrical blast had shot in to his hand, giving Jason a chance. The Ranger rolled sideways, back in to the open space of the Dark Dimension.
“Blade Blaster!” He yelled, as his Power Sword vanished in a glow of red energy. As he pulled the red weapon from its holster, he twisted the handle, and pulled back the top section, before aiming the barrel towards Goldar.

Laser fire headed towards the titan, who laughed as it missing him, just missing the bottom part of his wings, and impacting in to the mass of bars behind him.

“It’s useless Red Ranger!” Goldar roared. “I have the only way to get out of here. Your time is up.”
“I wouldn’t bank on it.” Jason responded, as he fired again, aiming at Goldar this time. As the blasts hit his feather like wings, the titan growled heavily, swinging his blade at the air before him, stopping the lasers in its path. Jason knew exactly how to get out of here, Tommy had told how he had escaped of those years ago.

All he had to do now, was acquire the means to fulfil his plan. However, the Ranger did not have much time to think about how he was going to do it, as Goldar charged at him once again. With little time to react, Jason flicked his Blade Blaster, switching it to blade mode. He knew the weapon would stand little chance against Goldar’s sword, but it would do for now.

Goldar laughed as his own large sword struck the relatively small blade of Jason’s weapon, sending it flying from the Ranger’s hands. Knowing he had an advantage, Zedd’s warrior struck his foe powerfully in the chest with a large clawed foot, sending him reeling to the floor, beneath the mist. The Red Ranger cursed to himself, as he looked out from his visor. He had to get that sword. Goldar had said that there was the only way out, and he seemed to be telling the truth. He knew Billy and the others couldn’t appear via one of his inventions now, and there seemed to be an eternal nothingness beyond the walls of the Dark Dimension.

Goldar steeped towards the fallen Ranger once again, staring down menacingly at him, with one foot on his chest. It was time, after all of these years. Rita and Zedd had allowed him to dispose of some of the other Power Rangers, but other than Tommy, Jason was the one he wanted to destroy the most. He had been his oldest foe, ever since the Space Dumpster had crash-landed on the Moon.
“Game over, Jason!” Goldar roared, raising his sword to the air, ready to strike. “Once I have disposed of you, I can help make sure Zedd finishes off that pathetic former Green Ranger too!”

At that moment, Goldar’s words inspired the Red Ranger. That was it. The Green Ranger. Along with his morpher, Jason always kept the Power Coin that Tommy had given him as a souvenir when his powers eventually ran out for good. It was thought to be powerless, but Jason knew he had to try. As Goldar’s sword swung down towards him the Ranger closed his eyes and hoped.

“Dragonzord Power!”

Goldar roared with anger as he heard Jason’s cry, and the golden shield of the Green Ranger appeared on his body. With it, the Dragon Dagger appeared n his hand, and swung up, meeting Goldar’s weapon in mid air. The armoured warrior felt his weight shift as Jason struck the leg that was on the Ranger’s lower body with his Power Sword. Goldar managed not to fall, balancing himself with his sword.

“It’s over for you, now Goldar.” Jason roared, holding the black and green Dragon Dagger in one hand, and the red and silver Power Sword in the other. He knew he didn’t have much time, he could feel the Green Ranger powers weakening. It was now or never.

Charging forwards, Jason swung both of his weapons at the enraged Goldar whose sword struck the two blades.
“You can’t win Jason!” Goldar roared as he swung again, blocking the two weapons. “Even if you beat me now, you can’t change the past!”
“We will have to see about that!” Jason shouted back, holding his blades to the air, as each glew with it’s relative colour. Goldar’s right arm took a powerful blow from the Power Sword as Jason swung, sending the large silver sword from his hand across to the other side of the Dimension. Goldar flew backwards as the Dragon Dagger struck too, followed by another hit from the Red Ranger’s personal weapon.

Goldar said nothing as Jason launched a powerful kick in to his chest before he could recover, sending him flying in to the wall of bars that Jason was pinned against earlier. This was it for him, and he knew it.

Jason looked at the weakened constructs, having taken damage from both his lasers and Goldar’s sword. He looked past the bars, in to nothingness, as he held his two weapons to the air again, and brought them down with a powerful swing.

A loud crash echoed through the Dark Dimension as the bars shattered, leaving an open doorway to the vacuum outside.
“Well done, Jason.” Goldar hissed, as he felt himself being pulled backwards. Jason quickly stabbed his Power Sword in to the ground as he felt himself being pulled, and watched as Goldar’s huge frame began to move.

“Jason!” Goldar shouted as he grabbed hold of what was left of the bars. “The sword.” Jason looked backwards, to see his foes weapon being pulled towards him by the force of the vacuum. Quickly, he re-holstered the Dragon Dagger, and held his arm out, his glove wrapping around the weapons’ handle tightly. He turned around again, wondering why Goldar had alerted him. If he knew his foe, it had to be some kind of trap. However, when he looked to the shattered wall, Goldar had gone.

The Ranger looked down to the floor, still using the Power Sword to stop himself being dragged away. Goldar, his oldest foe, had helped to safe his life, where as he had helped to end Goldar’s. The Red Ranger could feel his power weakening, as the golden armbands vanished, just before the Dragon Shield did the same, taking the black holster of the Dragon Dagger with it.

Sighing, Jason slammed the silver sword of Goldar in to the ground, and he vanished.

**

Meanwhile, on the Dark Fortress, a distraught Andros had cleared the wreckage from infront of the door which led to his old friends. He could not believe that he had just killed his sister, and his best friend, but atleast he knew he could change it. What he saw now, however, was too much.

The old Power Rangers had fallen from their standing positions, their withered faces pushed against the glass. They no longer looked anything like Andros remembered them, they had aged twenty seven years in the space of less than an hour.

“No.” He said, looking up at the deceased Ashley. He knew exactly what he had done. With no Astromena, there was no magic to keep them alive.

Now, on top of it all, he had killed his four other best friends. Turning away quickly, Andros rushed from the room. He knew he had to get out of here, now.

All of the corridors looked the same as he ran down them, until something caught his eye. A strange dim blue light from a nearby doorway. Curious, the Red Ranger looked around the entrance, and yet again today, was shocked by what he saw.

“Zordon?”

Tommy, like Jason, was in familiar surroundings. He had quite often walked through these woods over the past few years, with his friends and fellow Power Rangers. It was different now though. The sky was so dark, the trees so withered, their claw like branches weak and fragile. Tommy looked to the floor, almost black, with no sign of any plant or animal life. He flicked his wrists, to check that he still had access to his Zeonizers. Tommy breathed a sigh of relief as the devices appeared on his arms. Zedd may have demorphed him, but at least he was still able to call upon his powers.

As he walked through the sea of trees, Tommy eventually approached the end, which lead to the main part of Angel Grove Park . He knew Zedd would be around somewhere, waiting for him, and was surprised he had not been ambushed yet.
“Zedd!” He shouted, his voice echoing through the woodland. “Come out. I know you’re here!” With no response, the Ranger left the woody area, stepping in to the dark field of the park, lit only by the dim moonlight. As a Ranger, he had fought here so many times. It was once Rita and Zedd’s most common choices to attack, particularly the various statues that had been erected. As he looked around, the Ranger found it hard to pick anything significant out from the darkness, until his eye fell on a spot further off.
“What the?” He said to himself, as he got closer, and saw the rows of stones set in the ground. Their positioning seemed so neat and perfect. Like gravestones.

Exactly like gravestones.

Tommy sped up, his walking pace breaking in to a jog, ignoring the chill on his arms from the cold night air. It couldn’t be. He hadn’t really thought about what would have happened to them, but now, it was the only thing on his mind as the objects came closer.

“No.” Tommy said, shaking his head slowly, as he saw the markings on the first stone. A carving of a triceratops, with one of a wolf next to it, above the words “Billy Cranston: Blue Ranger” His gaze moved to the next stone, and the next. He recognised all of the symbols, the mastodon, the bear, the Zeo Ranger shapes. They were all there, carved above the respective Ranger’s names. “Kimberly Hart: Pink Ranger.” “Katherine Hillard: Pink Ranger, Pink Zeo Ranger.”

“No!” Tommy shouted, stepping back from the stone carved with the frog symbol, as something else caught his eye behind the rows. Two more stones, set apart from the rest, with large holes in front of them. The first bore the symbols of the tyrannosaurus and the symbol of the Gold Ranger. “Jason Scott: Red Ranger, Gold Ranger” Tommy knew what the last one was before he even studied it. The dragon claw, the tiger fang and the star. “Tommy Oliver: Green Ranger, White Ranger, Red Zeo Ranger.”

He stood completely still, his body starting to shiver in the cold as he glared at the ensemble of graves before him. None of this was meant to happen, he knew that. He had to get back to the others and stop all of this. Quickly, Tommy turned and started to run, before a familiar voice stopped him in his tracks.

“Going somewhere already?” Zedd roared, as a bolt of lightning struck the park, it’s roar echoing through it, as rain started to poor from the sky. “You only just got here.”
“None of this is going to happen. You know that don’t you?” Tommy shouted, as he turned to Zedd, the moonlight highlighting his chrome exo-skeleton.
“It already has happened!” Zedd replied, stepping forward, amongst the stones. “Best time of my life, infact. But it will be even better once my collection is complete.”
“No chance.” The Ranger roared, his anger building inside. As a martial artist, Tommy had to control his emotions, but this was too much.
“We shall see.” Zedd replied, his visor glowing red. “I just hope you were more of a challenge than our friends. I had to travel all the way to Aquitar to get your friend Billy, and it was over in moments. I was quite disappointed when his neck snapped so easily.”

Suddenly, Tommy felt himself charging across the soggy ground, the heavy rain pelting him painfully.
“That’s more like it.” Zedd mocked, as he held his staff tightly, swinging it as Tommy came at him. As he took a heavy blow to the stomach, Tommy flew back on to the muddy ground. He knew it was a mistake, charging a foe like Zedd like that, but he couldn’t help himself. Now, as Zedd’s metallic clawed hand grabbed his throat and pulled him to his feet, he wished he had more control over his emotions.

“I take it back.” Zedd retorted, as he lifted Tommy from his feet, holding him above the ground. “That was disappointing.”

Tommy struggled for breath, as he tried to pull Zedd’s muscular arm away.
“You won’t escape me this time Tommy.” Zedd laughed, as he walked through the sea of stones, towards the empty graves at the back of the formation. “I’ve been waiting a long time for this.”

Tommy continued to struggle, finding it even harder to breathe, scratching at Zedd’s deformed arm. Even in the cold and the rain, it felt warm. Tommy could feel the muscles pulsing as the fluid within the tubes around Zedd’s arm pumped away. He couldn’t believe he was being beaten like this, without even having the chance to put up a real fight. As Zedd reached the edge of his grave, Tommy had a sudden brain wave, and flicked his wrist.

“You think that will help you now? Goodbye, Tommy Oliver.” Zedd laughed, as he began to loosen his grip. He let go, but not out of choice, as Tommy managed to reach Zedd’s body with his right wrist, the Zeo sub-crystal making contact with his deformed flesh. Zedd stumbled back, roaring with pain, the energy of the Zeo Crystal burning at him, as Tommy fell, managing to balance himself on the soft soil edge, before kicking the weakened Zedd in the stomach, giving himself some room.

“Looks like the tides are turning.” He said, gasping for air, as he put his arms out in front of him. “It’s Morphin’ Time!”

“Curse that crystal!” Zedd roared, climbing to his feet, using his staff to support him, as the Red Zeo Ranger appeared in the dark of the park. “It may have turned me in to this form millennia ago, but once I defeat you, Tommy, I shall use it, and the parts I acquired from your friends, to complete my ultimate plan.”

“So ruling the planet isn’t enough?” Tommy replied, standing behind the headstone engraved with his name, with Zedd standing at the opposite end, at the foot of the grave itself. “Wasn’t that what you fought us for, after all?”
“But now,” Zedd snarled, “I can have so much more. With no Power Rangers to stop me, once I use the crystal to overthrow Astromena, the universe is mine.”
“Not going to happen.” Tommy shouted back, posing in to a fighting stance, “Not on my watch.”

Zedd raised his staff’s tip from the ground, angling the large “Z” at Tommy, who flipped backwards as a crimson bolt of electricity shot from the silver weapon, blasting the grass where Tommy had once been.
“Missed.” Tommy retorted, running forwards towards stone, before launching in to the air, over the large hole in the ground. Zedd had risen his staff to the air again, but before he had the chance to attack, was knocked backwards from the force of Tommy’s feet on his chest.

The evil lord snarled loudly, as the Zeo Ranger made a perfect landing, stretching out his arms, the gold highlights of his suit reflected in the moonlight. He knew he had to keep calm. That had been his mistake earlier, charging in without thinking. He knew what Zedd had done to his closest friends, but as long as he kept calm, none of that had to happen.

The Red Ranger jumped quickly, over Zedd’s staff as it swung towards his chest. His visor was glowing a deeper red than ever, as he stared at his foe, energy pumping through his body, thanks to the artificial life system attached to his exoskeleton. During his constantly failed attempts to take over the Earth, Tommy was the one who seemed to have caused Zedd the most trouble. He led the team, had held them together, but was strong alone too. The multiple attempts by Zedd and Rita to target him alone and take him out of the equation had all ended up in the same way.

When the UAE successfully conquered the universe, Zedd was delighted to have been given the control of Earth, and as a celebration, hunted out all of the Power Rangers that had opposed him, wiping them out one by one. He had been disappointed at his failure to find Tommy and Jason, but soon moved on, planning a way to get even more power.

Zedd had achieved his goal, something inside him knew that, but the voice inside his head told him to go for more. He knew the only way to do it was to use a power source greater than Astromena had, and only one existed, with one fifth of it missing along with its owner. Once he had seen that Tommy had mysteriously returned, it was a double celebration, he could complete his Ranger collection, and take over the universe in one fatal swipe.

The Zeo Power Sword appeared in Tommy’s hand as he dived forwards, its blade striking Zedd’s arm as it materialised. Zedd quickly retaliated, the large “Z” slamming in to Tommy’s chest, knocking the Ranger off balance and sending him to the soggy floor.

Rain continued to pour from the sky on the two warriors, as the Power Ranger jumped to his feet, his boots slipping a little as his sword thudded against Zedd’s staff. Tommy knew he had to react quickly, the size of Zedd’s staff meant he would have an advantage at striking back, with the weapons longer range. He also knew the weapon was heavier, slashing at Zedd’s arm, before quickly sliding to the other side, Zedd’s cumbersome attack missing completely.

As the sword sliced in to Zedd’s red skin again, Tommy gazed, just for a moment, at the mark it left. Crimson blood began to seep forward from the deep gash. It was only his frightful appearance that made him remember that Zedd wasn’t human, no matter how he bled.

That’s what made this ok for him to do. Zedd wasn’t human. He couldn’t be. Otherwise, there was no way Tommy would be able to do what he had to. Yet, something didn’t seem quite right. The Zeo Crystal had turned Zedd in to this form, so what had he been before?

He had no time to linger on this thought, however, as Zedd’s staff slammed in to his shoulder, sending him crashing in to the muddy floor. A bolt of lightning struck within the forest, as Zedd approached the fallen Ranger, his staff held high.

The crimson blood dripped to the floor, as Tommy looked up at his foe. Had he ever been human? Now he was a mix of flesh and metal, with tubes piping blood and vital fluids through his body.

“I’ve been waiting a long time for this.” Zedd roared, before gasping suddenly, as a white glove tugged at one of the tubes running down his leg. Red fluid gushed on to the already wet grass as Tommy sprung up, slicing his blade through the tube on the other leg. Zedd stumbled backwards, towards the foot of Tommy’s grave. His legs felt so weak, he could hardly move them, as the Ranger grabbed hold of the tube running up his right arm, and pulled in it tightly. Zedd let loose a weak roar as his fingers relaxed letting the staff fall to the ground.

“This, can’t be.” Zedd said weakly, as the three tubes, now disconnected form his flesh, pumped his life fluid on to the ground. His visor was glowing a dimmer red than before, as his body started to tremble. As he stood still, just watching, something in Tommy’s mind was nagging him again. He couldn’t watch this suffering much longer. With one final slash, Tommy grabbed the last tube, pulling it from Zedd’s arm, before standing back.

Zedd’s visor dimmed even more as his trembling became more intense. Finally, he fell backwards, collapsing in to the empty hole behind him. There was a loud crash as the metal “Z” atop the silver stalk, too long to fit in the grave, impacted on Tommy’s stone, snapping off and falling on to the marshy ground.

The rain still falling, Tommy whispered to himself.
“Power down.” As his suit vanished, he walked towards the large silver staff that was on the ground. Lifting it with two hands, Tommy pointed the “Z” end at the grave. “I’m sorry I had to do that.” He said quietly, as the energy from the staff filled the hole with soil. “But I have to make sure none of this can ever happen.”

He turned away, the grave meant for him now filled, and vanished in a blast of energy, leaving the rows of grave stones belonging to his friends, the empty space meant for Jason, and the stone that was now engraved with “Lord Zedd.”

“You have to go now Andros.” Zordon said loudly. “There is no time to waste.”
“I have to help you Zordon!” Andros protested. “I’ll get you out of there.”
“Eventually you will.” Zordon nodded, looking at the Kovarian Ranger. “But now is not the time, you must go, now.”

“No! Zeddy!” Rita screamed as she watched the events from her telescope. Originally she had only married Zedd for her own gains, but over the years she had grown attached to him.

“Shall I send something to stop him my Queen?” Finster said shyly, cowering beside her. She had already lost Goldar, her best warrior, and was unsure of how she would react.

“No.” Rita said, turning away, and shaking her head. “Let him go. There is something he has to do, I can sense it.”

Good work man, very nice. The only problem for me though, like I told you before, that Tommy dialogue at the end just seemed too wooden and forced. Other than that, it's awesome.

“Pathetic Ranger!” Psycho Red roared, as Jack stumbled to the ground, the effect of a powerful punch from his robotic foe. The Ranger was breathing heavily, on the way towards exhaustion. However, he knew there was no way he could give up now. The Psycho Ranger walked amongst the fallen Quantron bodies that littered the ground, as he glared down at his prey, the Ranger he was hunting for no other reason than the fact he was there, and was dressed in red. The SPD Ranger climbed to his feet shakily, reaching for his Delta Blasters from their holsters.
“You think those puny weapons will hurt me?” The mechanic voice of Psycho Red hissed, mockingly, holding his arm out in front of him. He wasn’t quite sure how he had gained these powers, but they seemed to be coming in useful.

Red rings of energy fired from the robot’s hand, towards Jack, who quickly jumped in to the air, landing on the narrow metal beam which was helping support one of the giant spot lights which lit the courtyard. Squeezing the two triggers of his weapons, the SPD Ranger aimed carefully at his foe, balancing precariously on the support beam, as another red energy ring shot past his head, creating a small explosion as one of the vertical beams behind him took the impact. From his high vantage point, Jack could see his attacks were not making much difference. The machine was recoiling slightly, but not showing much sign of damage. With the barrage of fire continuing, Jack ducked another of Psycho Red’s energy blasts, trying to develop a plan. He knew he was more or less a sitting duck up here, and he had to act quickly.

He was changed to change his tactics quickly, however, as an energy ring hit another of the vertical beams, splintering it to pieces.
“Huh?” Jack grunted, as he turned his head slightly, before quickly launching forwards, from the structure and landing heavily on the ground. Moments later, there was a loud crash as the large spotlight fell forwards, smashing to pieces on impact.
“That was close.” Jack muttered to himself, looking at the huge mess of tangled metal and broken glass.

“You may have survived that.” Psycho Red hissed, the one remaining spotlight shinning on him for a moment. “But that just means I will have to finish you off.”
“I don’t think so!” Jack roared back, knowing he was taking a chance. “SPD Battilizer!”

The next think Jack knew, Psycho Red was laughing maniacally at him, as a heavy punch sent him flying backwards through the air. He barley had time to take in what was happening, when a huge amount of pain shot up his spine. The front wall of the school was left with a large whole as his body slammed through it. Dazed, Jack stood up, noticing that he had been de-morphed by the impact. He should have known the Battilizer wouldn’t have worked without R.I.C, but he had thought it his only option. The room in which Jack lay was still filled with a cloud of brick dust, obscuring vision of the outside world. It seemed to be a classroom, the chairs and tables aligned perfectly, surprisingly. Jack assumed these rooms had not been touched since the school had became a slave camp. He climbed to his feet, brushing the dust from his grey and red uniform, before running a hand through his dreaded hair.

Now he was inside, the Ranger knew he could gain an advantage. His Battilizer would have been perfect for combat outside, but now things had changed. He had equipment more suited for an inside environment. Knowing he wouldn’t have much more time before Psycho Red came looking for him, Jack ran towards the back wall, passing through it effortlessly. The next room looked the same as the last, followed by another and another. After passing through yet another wall, he stopped, grabbing his morpher from the back of his belt.

“S.P.D! S.W.A.T!”

Pressing the button on top of the morpher, his body was infused by the power once again, this time granting him access to the S.W.A.T technology. His chest was covered by a dark vest, emblazoned with a large red “1”. His arms and legs now had dark armour on them and his helmet was now equipped with scanning technology.

“Right,” Jack said to himself, “Time to get this guy.”

Pyscho Red threw open a door, only to find yet another empty classroom. His sensors were telling him Jack was nearby, but the signal was weak. According to his diagnostic system, his sensor array had been damage in on of the numerous fights he had been in over the last twenty-four hours. However much damage he had taken, however, his processor told him to keep going. As long as the Red Ranger was alive, he must keep going.

Jack watched through his visor as the blue image of Psycho Red opened another door. His thermal imaging scan had picked up no other life forms, so he assumed any prisoners had escaped in the chaos, and that himself, Tommy and Jason had taken care of the Quantrons. His Delta Enforcer held tightly with both hands, he edged to the corner of the main corridor, scanning the area. He quickly shot back around as he saw that Psycho Red was leaving the room after a quick search, and was about to enter the corridor once again. Looking through the wall, thanks to his S.W.A.T technology’s thermal imaging, Jack saw that his prey was checking the next room. He c
