Ep16: Downtime
Kevin: Last time of Power Ranger Forever, thanks to the new powers and zords that we acquired thought our vision quests, we were able to take down the Psycho Rangers. Yet Kage is already planning his next scheme, will the rangers be ready for it?
*At Tommy’s home*
Tommy:{sitting at his table with his laptop and a cup of coffee}Lets see what I have to do today.{scrolls down on the screen then turns his head}Something smells good, I guess Miki must be cooking for the picnic Kevin planed today.
*In Tommy’s kitchen*
Miki:{wearing a black apron with a little anime character on it, looking over at a cook book}Lets see, add some salt, pepper and a few other spices.{the pot next to her starts to boil}No rice don’t burn!{fiddles with the stove}
*Authors note: Before anyone gets any perverted ideas, Miki lives with Tommy in his house. 1, she really doesn’t know anyone in this world{besides the other rangers}, 2, Tommy has a lot of space in his house and it’s a dead friends daughter.*
Tommy:{peaks into the kitchen}What’s this, a delicious homemade lunch.{looks away}One of them must be for me. It makes a surrogate father so proud.
Miki: Well it really doesn’t look like the picture,{puts the food in two Japanese style lunch boxes}but I did cook it myself.{puts a lid on the boxes}I wonder if I shouldn’t of cooked lunch with out asking.{smiles}Oh well.
*At Rena’s house*
Rena:{brushing her hair}I guess I better get ready soon, or I’ll have to deal with the others saying I was late.
Rena’ Mom:{walks into Rena’s room}Are you going out today dear?
Rena:{turns around}Yes mame, I’m going to the park with some friends.

Derek:{running down the street}Stupid ranger rule about us not using our powers for personal gain.{clicks his morpher and a hologram clock appears}I’m still going to late.{ducks into an ally}Well I guess I can’t get into to much trouble. It’s morphing time! Blue Ranger Power!{looks around after he finishes morphing}Well no one saw. Now I’ve always wanted to try this out.{raises his hand}Blue Hover Cycle!{the cycle teleports beside him}Oh this is going to be fun.{hops on the bike, and rides off}
*At the same time at Aaron’s house*
Aaron:{looking for something}Now where did I put that thing.
Aaron’s mom:{yelling}Aaron did you take out trash, clean the dog cage, and fixed lunch.

*At the same time, in another part of the city*
Tommy:{driving his jeep}Looks like it will only takes us a little bit longer to get there. So about one of those lunc..{Is interrupted by the sound of fire trucks roaring past them}
Miki:{looks out the window}I wonder what’s going on.
Tommy: Lets find out.{follows the fire trucks to a burning building}
Miki: There’s the problem.{taps her ear ring and a clear yellow visor appears on her face}Looks like there are people in there, higher than the fireman can get to.{clicks her earring and the visor disappears}
Tommy:{pulls his jeep behind a building}Then looks like we’re helping.{opens the door and jumps out of the jeep}It’s Morphing Time!
*At the same time in the city*
Rena:{running}Why couldn’t Kevin picked a closer spot for this picnic.
Kevin:{jumps off of a fence}My ears where burning.
Rena: What so your going to be late for your own picnic?
Kevin: Well the others will understand, besides{turns his head towards a building}I thought we might make a stop.
Rena: A hospital?{looks over at Kevin}Why a hospital?
Kevin: I heard about some sick kids who wanted to see the power rangers. So two is better than none.
Rena:{crosses her arms}Isn’t this against one of those three fundamental rules you made us memorize?
Kevin: Well,{scratches his head}I don’t think making kids feel better counts for personal gain.
Rena:{looks around to see if anyone is coming}Good enough for me.{raises his morpher}It’s Morphing Time! Pink Ranger Power!

*Back where Derek is, racing down the road*
Derek: Man, I love this thing.{revs the bikes engine}Why didn’t I every think about using this thing before?{stops his bike}What the?{hops off his bike and walks over to a little girl sitting on the side of the rode}What are you doing here little girl?
Little girl:{holding a stuff rabbit crying}I can’t find my mommy.
Derek:{pats the little girl on her head}It’s okay, I’ll help you find your mother.{looks back at his bike}That won’t work.{raises his wrist}Alpha, I got a bit of situation here. Can you switch out my hover cycle with my battle bike?
Alpha 7:{over the communicator}I see you “situation” and I send your battle bike.
Derek:{looks over at his hover cycle is teleported away, then his battle bike is teleported in}Well this is a little old, but its got a sidecar.{looks back at the little girl}So what is your name anyway?
Little Girl: My name is Rini.{whips her tears}
Derek: Okay then Rini.{picks her up and sits her in the sidecar}Lets see if we can find your mother.{hops on his bike and cruises down the road}
*Meanwhile at the stop n go*
Aaron:{looking in his wallet)Lets see, about enough cash to buy a bag of chips.{turns around and looks at the wall of bags of chips}Now what do I buy? Maybe these.{bends down to look at the bottom roll}
Dante:{sitting at the store counter reading the paper}Power rangers save day again.{sighs}Probably just a bunch of kids and some thirty something guy in pajamas.
Thug:{kicks the door open}You clerk,{points his gun at Dante}open the cash register!{waves his gun around}Everyone else get on the ground.
Aaron: Huh?{looks up in the mirror and sees the thug}Damn, this could go bad. Wait what am I worried about,{looks at his morpher}I’m a fringing power ranger.{raises his wrist, and very quietly}It’s morphing Time! Black Ranger Power!
Thug:{notices the flash of light from Aaron morphing}What the hell is that?{walks around the corner and doesn’t see anything}
Dante: What the?{notices Aaron in another role}A Power…
Aaron:{places his finger over his mouth guard to single the clerk to shush}
Thug:{walks back over to the counter}Didn’t I tell you to put the money in the bag.{waves his gun around, and then notices Aaron in the store mirror.}You stand up or I shot this guy.
Aaron:{cruses under his breath, then steps into view with his hands up}
Thug: What is this, a costume party?{points his gun at Aaron}Take off that stupid helmet.
Aaron: I’m afraid I can’t do that.
Thug: Then I’m afraid I’m going to have to shot you.{fires the gun at Aaron’s chest, who then falls over}Well now, took care of that chump without any problems.
Aaron:{stands back up and picks the bullet off of his suit}Man, I didn’t know this thing could stop bullets.
Thug: Your some kind of freak!
Aaron: Wrong buddy, I’m a power ranger,{kicks the gun out of the thug’s hand}who you just pissed off.{grabs him by the collar}This is for shooting me.{punches him in the jaw}This is for calling my helmet stupid.{knees him in the gut}And this is for not respect the Black ranger!{pushes him back, then kicks him on the side of his head}
Dante:{watches the thug fall to the ground}I’ll take back the crack I made about being a kid in pajamas.
Aaron:{dusts himself off}Think nothing of it.
Dante: Umm, you need anything?
Aaron:{looks back at the chips}Could I have that thing of mixed chips?
Dante: Its on the house.
*Back at the burning building*
Firefighter #1: Chief, theirs some kids still trapped on the top but we can’t get to them.
Fire Chief: Then how are we going to get them out of there?
Tommy:{walks up by the Fire Chief}I believe we can be of assistance.
Fire Chief:{raises his hat and scratches his head}Power Rangers, now I must be seeing things.
Miki:{looking up at the building}Looks like their trapped at just below the very top.
Tommy: Then lets go!{runs into the building with Miki close behind}
Firefighter #2: Whoa, I got get a picture of this for my son.
*Inside the building*
Miki: Our suits should be able to handle the flames.
Tommy:{stops because of debris in the way}We got to move this stuff very careful, or we could cause the whole floor to collapse.
Miki: I’m way ahead of you. Power Daggers!{the daggers appear in her hands and she slices up key points on the debris and makes an entry way}
Tommy:{the fire flares up}We’d better get going.{runs through the flames with Miki close behind}Hello is anybody here?
Miki:{starts to cough}This smoke is getting bad.{taps his front of her helmet}Switching to oxygen mask.{the Lightspeed rescue mask pops up inside her helmet}
Tommy:{dose the same thing}Wish I had this thing back in the day.{hears someone crying}Do you hear that Miki?
Miki: Yeah, I think it’s coming from that closet.
Tommy:{walks over to the closet and opens it}I think I found them.{looks down at the two little kids, a boy and a girl. The little girl is holding onto a power rangers doll}
Little girl: I told you the power rangers would come.
Little boy:{throws his arms up in the air}How was I supposed to know they were real.
Tommy:{picks up the little boy and girl}Hang on kids.
Miki: Umm we have a problem.{points the debris covering their exit}
Tommy: Then we will have to make a new exit.{hands the little girl over to Miki}Now hang on to us kids, this is going to get a little bumpy.{looks over at Miki}You know what to do.
Miki: Byakko Claws!{the claws materialize on her hands and see slices an exit}
Tommy: Follow me!{jumps out the exit as Miki follows}
Little boy:{as they are falling} Are you crazy?

Fire Chief:{on the ground}Is he crazy?
Miki: Was there another part to your plan, because the street is coming on pretty fast.
Tommy: Shield of Genbu!{the shield appears on his wrist, then the tosses it on the ground. It spins on the ground and creates a energy bubble, which the land softly on}
Miki:{looks over at Tommy}You could of told me what you were planning.
Tommy: Yeah, but where’s the fun in that?
Little girl: The yellow ranger is my new favorite ranger.
*Back with Derek*
Derek: So where was your mom when you two got separated?
Rini:{hugging her stuff rabbit}When we were in the store, I was playing in the playground with my rabbit and she was gone.
Derek: What kind of store?
Rini: A toy store.
Derek: Why didn’t I see that one coming.{turns his head}Well this is lucky, the only toy store in this city.{stops infront of the toys r us}Is this it Rini?

Derek:{parks his bike, then picks Rini up from the side car}Let see if we can find your mom. {carriers Rini as they walk into the store}
Store Clerk:{watches Derek walk by} We didn’t order any guys in costumes today did we?
Store Manger: What are you talking about you idiot.{turns around to see Derek standing infront of him}
Derek: Could you announce over your load speaker that this little girl is looking for her mother.
Store Manger:{takes a step back, then falls on his but}Whoa, a real power ranger.
Derek:{sighs}I’ll do it myself.{sits Rini on the ground and picks up the phone on the wall and hits the button for the load speaker}If anyone is missing a little girl with a stuffed white rabbit, please come to the front desk.
*Moments latter*
Rini’s mother:{runs to Rini and picks her up}Rini, I thought I lost you.{starts to cry}
Rini: Don’t cry mommy, that nice blue power ranger guy helped me.
Rini’s mother:{looks over at Derek}Thank you, if theirs anything I can do.{reaches for her pruse}I could pay you.
Derek: No, no. I don’t take peoples money. I was just doing my job.
Rini:{her mother sits her on the ground}Thank you mister blue ranger.{runs over and hugs Derek’s leg}
Derek:{pats Rini on the head}Now you try and stay out of trouble.
Rini:{walks back over to her Mother}I will.{waves at Derek, then makes her rabbit wave too as he runs out of the store}
*At the hospital*
Kevin: For my first trick.{throws some oranges in the air}Suzaku Saber!{slices the oranges into a few pieces which lands on the kids plates}
Rena:{puts her hands on her hips}Show off.
Amy:{one of the kids sitting in a hospital bed}Show off.

Alpha 7:{sitting his chair, drinking some oil while the others are sitting on the ground with their helmets off}So it seems all of you had nice interesting days today.

T.V. reporter: Tonight’s top story, today the six power rangers were sighted helping out the community in various outings today.{clips of what they did appears on the screen}First off we saw the Green and yellow ranger saving kids form a burning building. Then we had the black ranger stop a thug in a local store, next was the blue ranger helping reunite a little girl and her mother. Finally we have reports of the Red and pink rangers visiting kids at a local hospital. We will have more clips at eleven.
Aaron: Well…

Derek:{looks at everyone}Don’t anyone bring up that never use your powers for personal gain rule.

Dante:{watches the thug fall to the ground}I’ll take back the crack I made about being a kid in pajamas.

Firefighter #1: Chief, theirs some kids still trapped on the top but we can’t get to them.

Fire Chief:{on the ground}Is he crazy?
Miki: Was there another part to your plan, because the street is coming on pretty fast.
Tommy: Shield of Genbu!{the shield appears on his wrist, then the tosses it on the ground. It spins on the ground and creates a energy bubble, which the land softly on}
Miki:{looks over at Tommy}You could of told me what you were planning.
Tommy: Yeah, but where’s the fun in that?
Little girl: The yellow ranger is my new favorite ranger.
*Back with Derek*
Derek: So where was your mom when you two got separated?
Rini:{hugging her stuff rabbit}When we were in the store, I was playing in the playground with my rabbit and she was gone.

Rini’s mother:{runs to Rini and picks her up}Rini, I thought I lost you.{starts to cry}

T.V. reporter: Tonight’s top story, today the six power rangers were sighted helping out the community in various outings today.{clips of what they did appears on the screen}First off we saw the Green and yellow ranger saving kids form a burning building. Then we had the black ranger stop a thug in a local store, next was the blue ranger helping reunite a little girl and her mother. Finally we have reports of the Red and pink rangers visiting kids at a local hospital. We will have more clips at eleven.
