I originally bought the Delta Squad Megazord, but I hated all the paint and stickers missing. So I decided to get a Dekaranger Robo, which came today. So I thought I'd do a picture review of the bits that BanDai USA left off.

Patstriker vs. Red Delta Runner
http://img23.echo.cx/img23/4924/red2dd.jpg
http://img23.echo.cx/img23/6200/helmet6yp.jpg
- Red Runner has a painted on Police logo, which is just plain black, whereas Patstriker has a shiny silver sticker.
- The window on the Patstriker is trimmed with silver.
- The silver under the lights are shiny on Patstriker but plain dull on Red Runner.
- The front 2 wheels on each side have silver hubcaps on Patstriker, but just left plain black on Red Runner.
- There's a red & white number 1 on each side of Patstriker, but not on Red Runner.
- S.P.D is written on the side parts of the robotic arm cover (near the back of the mecha) on Patstriker, but not on Red Runner.
- S.P.D is written on the sides of the ear like bits on the head of Dekaranger Robo, but not on Delta Squad Megazord.
- The visor part is tinted light blue on Dekaranger Robo, but left clear on Delta Squad Megazord.
- The lights on top of the chest (the 1 on each side on the same level as the head) have silver trim on Dekaranger Robo but not on Delta Squad Megazord.
- I'm not sure about whether one is louder or brighter in the sound & light areas, as I haven't tried yet.

Patgyrer vs. Blue Delta Runner
http://img23.echo.cx/img23/8168/blue5ut.jpg
- The front window screen has silver trim around it, as well as the side guns being silver and there is a little Police logo on the side on Patgyrer, but not on Blue Runner.
- There is silver paint on the edges of the part where the foot bends in Dekaranger Robo mode on Patgyrer.
- On top of the browish copper window is trimmed in silver, as well as a square bit behind it on Patgyrer.
- The red light part on the top has silver trim on Patgyrer, but is missing on Blue Runner.
- To the rear of the Patgyrer is a number 2 in black and white, this also is missing on Blue Runner.
- The cuffs have silver on the connecting parts.

Patrailer vs. Green Delta Runner
http://img23.echo.cx/img23/9617/green7cg.jpg
- The main window and window a little above it has silver trim on Patrailer, but not on Green Runner.
- All the wheels on Patrailer have silver paint on the hubcaps.
- The front of the trailer part of Patrailer is painted silver.
- The red part on the roof has silver trim, which is not on the Green Runner.
- A Police logo and a number 3 is on the side of Patrailer, but not on Green Runner.

Patarmor vs. Yellow Delta Runner
http://img288.echo.cx/img288/8691/yellow3bs.jpg
- The front bumper has silver trim on Patarmor.
- The window screen has silver trim around it, as well silver trim on the section above it on Patarmor, but not on Yellow Runner.
- A Police logo is on top between the red lights on Patarmor.
- A number 4 is on the side of Patarmor, but missing on Yellow Runner, even though the shape left is so obviously a 4.

Patsigner vs. Pink Delta Runner
http://img38.echo.cx/img38/6350/pink0gw.jpg
- All windows are silver trimmed on Patsigner, but not on Pink Runner.
- A Police logo is on the front of Patsigner.
- The bumper is silver, but not on Pink Runner.
- A number 5 is on the side of Patsigner.
- The hubcaps are painted silver on Patsigner, but not on Pink Runner.
- The folding part that bends on the screen is all in silver and a Police logo is above it.
- Pink Delta Runner comes with no screen cards, and looks crappy without them. Patsigner comes with Guilty, S.P.D Only, Police, green behind bars, angry red face and yellow & green come in cards.

Overall, I'm happy I bought the Dekaranger Robo. So many things were left off Delta Squad Megazord that I'm not bothering with BanDai USA zords anymore. I'll collect the action figures, as BanDai USA does a better job IMO than the Japanese versions.

That is pretty crappy. I'm glad I bought the DRR instead.

Whew... just got a DekaRobo, and the Delta Squad Mega just found it's way back to Wal-Mart last night... they can have it back.

Great job. Shows how much better Bandai Japan truly is.

So size wise, its about the same right?

I am also wondering if the Delta Squad Megazord could combine with a DekaBikeRobo...

It should. I've combined the Delta Mega with my Astro Megazord before, and it worked just fine. Bandai usually makes it so that it doesn't matter if you have one part from a Sentai mecha, and one part from a PR zord. They usually fit. The Dragon Ceasar I sold my buddy Jeremy fits seamlessly with his DX Megazord.

I wish someone would do this with all the megazords.

The Liner Boy fits perfectly with my Lightspeed Megazord.

Both for sale! MIB! Check my thread! :D

Yep, exactly the same size. Delta Squad Megazord combines with Deka Bike Robo with no problems.

Someone said before in a review that the ear kinda side parts (the bits on the head with S.P.D on Deka Ranger Robo, but missing S.P.D on Delta Squad Megazord) were more pointy on Deka Ranger Robo, but I looked at them for a good few minutes and they look the same.

I am planning to buy it, so... how is this regarding the DX Delta Base Command Megazord and the DX DekaBaseRobo?

Woah, this topic has resurfaced.

I have the DX DekaBase Robo and from the pics I've seen of Delta Command Megazord. These are the differences (there's probably more, so someone can point them out).

1. The red parts on DekaBase are metallic coloured red, whereas Delta Command is plain red.
2. The solar panel on the front of DekaBase is shiny holographic foil kinda sticker paper, whereas Delta Command is plain yellow style sticker paper. Although Delta Command is more show accurate, DekaBase looks better.
3. Some of the black parts are left off on Delta Command, and one or two S.P.D logos too. Whereas DekaBase has them.

If you have the money get the DekaBase, if you don't get the Delta Command. It's all up to whether you think paying extra is worth it.

Although Delta Command is more show accurate, DekaBase looks better.

Stevie, thanks for answering!
What exactly do you mean with "Delta Command is more show accurate"??
How can the toy be more accurate than the Japanese (which has more detail) version?

Stevie H
09-28-2005, 03:08 PM
Well the show seems to be pretty plain on the solar panel, it's not all shiny and sparkly like on the DekaBase. But I think DekaBase looks cooler.

TheCollector
09-28-2005, 03:29 PM
Thanks. I guess it should be the DekaBaseRobo then. What did you pay for it?
Are they both (USA & Japanese) battery operated?

OmegaRangerRed

neither uses batteries. deka base will cost u atleast 120

Stevie H

Deka Base cost me like £90 including shipping from HLJ. Then I got a £30 customs charge on top. But the mecha was so awesome I didn't care.

Thanks for the pic comparison...you've once again convinced me I never need to import a Megazord.

Thanks! Hey, but I checked HLJ and the DekaBaseRobo isn't there??

I got mine a good few months ago. So they don't have it in stock anymore.

So Ebay is probably your best bet now.

I might aswell repost what I said back in this thread (http://www.rangerboard.com/showthread.php?t=64160&page=19). I'm pretty sure that's everything. =)
(The photos are of the BoA version.)

Okay, I think I've spotted pretty much all the differences, so I've put together these pictures for those of you who're interested.
Remember, each number matches the number on the list and that all metallic parts and stickers have been dulled.

http://img7.echo.cx/img7/6762/dcm024cb.jpg

http://img7.echo.cx/img7/4853/dcm036wx.jpg

1 - Blue paint missing from the ears.
2 - Blue paint missing from the windows (the middle two are unpainted on Dekabase, however.)
3 - "S.P.D" text missing.
4 - Blue line on each side of the vents are missing.
5 - Warning sticker text translated (obviously, lol) and changed from yellow to white.
6 - Blue paint with black outline missing.
7 - Black outline around the blue is missing.
8 - Black lines at the back of the handle are missing.
9 - Black lines missing on the sides of the dog head.
10 - Red missing from the side of the black parts.
11 - Thick silver line is missing.
12 - Black paint missing.
13 - Black outline is missing around the blue.
14 - Blue lines are missing.
15 - Silver line under the red is missing.

Overall, not too much of a difference when compared to the Dekabase, besides the missing paint which can be easily applied yourself. However, I'm not sure if the pull-out ramps for Delta Runners 2 - 5 are missing since Neo hasn't posted anything about them.
If you want to compare yourself, go to http://ooebi.sakura.ne.jp/toys/sentai/dekaren/base/base01.htm
Hope that helps anyone that's interested in the changes.

In other words: Bandai America (again) totally sucks!!
Each point of difference just is too much. They f*cked up the entire Wild Force assortment (lacking LOTS of paint), turned all the metal of the Japanese Hurricanger Mechas into cheap plastic... and these are just TWO examples.
No wonder that I ditched collecting the American stuff years ago...

I was just wondering (read: hoping) if there weren't too much differences between the DekaBase and Delta Base, because the Japanese one is harder to get. eBay has a lot of American ones, but it's (again) so obvious that I'll keep on going with the Sentai stuff!!

Thanks to all.

Honestly I don't think Bandai USA did a bad job at all with the Delta Command Megazord. They totally messed up with the Delta Squad Megazord though. I like getting my mecha as early as possible so I always get the Japanese ones now.

The one thing that bothers me is why didn't they release the little cardboard signs to go in the Pink Zord?

I mean, fair enough saving money by not painting all those bits that should be silver, but if you're keeping the function of Pink (having the sign flip up), why would you not release all the cool cards to go with it?

Eh, I'm glad I buy my mechs from Japan these days, ever since Dino Thunder.

I landed up just printing my own little cards, before I landed up getting a Dekaranger Robo.

I completely agree, they didn't do too much of a bad job at all. Hell, we're lucky it was even released.
At first glance, it looks like there's a lot missing, but in actuality most of it's paint that can really easily be applied yourself. So really, in my opinion, if you can get your hands on a DekaBaseRobo for relatively cheap, I say go for it. Otherwise, just go with the DCM since it's so much easier to find and so much cheaper with most missing parts being easily fixed.

Stevie H
09-28-2005, 06:36 PM
If I only had a DCM, I'd just get some black paint, some metallic green paint(for the knee parts) and some metallic red (for the plain red bits). Then it'd be pretty much the same as the DekaBase (sans a couple of S.P.D logos).

Well peepz, thanks for all!!

I just bought a DX DekaBaseRobo on eBay for $110 including shipping.
Ok, the Delta Command would have been cheaper, but I know I'd eventually regret that.

I guess it will be shipped by tomorrow, but in the meanwhile another question: are there any stickers to be applied, just as with the DekaRangerRobo?

GaoHunter

There's a couple. Namely, the solar panels and 2 SPD logos on the leg blaster things.

red delta runner looks identicle besides the police logo from the top view. But once opened and transformed it's a different story.

Thanks for the warning. I was thinking of buying the SPD Megazord, but if Bandia America can't even be bothered to include the signboard cards, that kinda puts a wrench into that idea and may put SPD/Deckaranger Mecha out of my reach completely for now.

Well yes!!
Today I got my JAPANESE DekaBaseRobo.
And hell yeah... I'm SO glad I (found and) took the Japanese one.
It looks so much better than the USA version I saw at my "co-collector's" in my neighbourhood.

Funny thing is that the seller sent it in two pieces. I received the first piece yesterday, which was the main body and the two hands in the cardboard things of the box.
Today I received the other stuff, like all of the panels, arms, and covers, all inside the actual (gigantic) box.

Sending the DBR in two pieces made each package just as "light" to go for a reasonable shipping fee. Sending it all at once would have been a bit too expensive.
Clever thinking of the seller which I owe him for!!!
