A note to webmaster, if you are going to use pictures, save them and upload them yourself, DO NOT HOTLINK TO OTHER SITES. People pay money to keep their sites up :)

And give credit to who you take from. I notice you took from my friend's site, Morphinggrid.com. He expects to be credited if his pics are borrowed, and you might want to ask his permission. I notice you borrowed from Retrocenter too. Snoops like to have credit if his pics are used. And like the above user said, don't hot link.

I find it funny that he DOES get credit (Under "Extras") but Mine is absent.

Well at least he gives some credit, but he should post the message on the splash. Also does he ask the webmaster's first? Because he supposedly is using PRC images, which I know is not allowed by the webmaster.
If people want to get pictures there best going to Ranger Gallery or at least asking for people's permission first ( which I am not sure if this guy did or not, with PRC it is unlikely)

Were not trying to attack you, its just not cool to hot link images. Also, while its good you are crediting people, makes sure you ask for there permission. I know Snoops (Retrocenter) doesn't mind people barrowing as long as they give credit. But PRC pics are not supposed to be barrowed, you can try asking. Morphing Grid pics you might have a chance at, if you ask nicely. Ranger Gallery is a good place to go, since it is a public gallery, you can still give credit, even though the pics are uploaded by many users. Besides hot linking, I think your site is off to a good start.

you have to remove the images from PRC now and quit stealing from other peoples sites.

I may be able to give you some webspace, if that is the reason why you need to hot link. However I would require you to get rid of the prc images and make sure the Morphing Grid webmaster is okay with you using his pics. Which I would suggest you do with all the sites you borrowed from. With Retrocenter, I know you can use pics from the gallery with the proper credit, so your fine there ( once you upload the pics to your own host and not hot link off of theirs). If your looking for a lot of pics I would suggest you go to Ranger Gallery. Since that is what the site is for. Its a public gallery. Again I am trying to help you, I wish you the best of luck with your site.

Oh my God, you hotlink images. That's wrong. That's sick. I--I can't believe it.
If you need a place to upload images that you are using with permission granted by the webmasters of the sites where you get all your pictures, try PhotoBucket (www.photobucket.com) or Walagata (www.walagata.com).

On the subject of hotlinking, when I took down most of my sites, I killed about 3-5 different MSN Groups' image galleries, because they were hotlinking. It was a mildly good feeling to kill the hotlinking sites. :)
And, yeah, the only way to prevent hotlinking is by using a .htaccess file. Do a Google search for '.htaccess creation' and you'll get good instructions on how to do so. That'll prevent the hotlinking, since there's no way to get around a hard-coded file.
