Power Rangers Mythic Rage - Episode 2 - Ancient Myth, Pt. 2

Scene: Downtown Jackson Heights.

People are running from the Shadow Knights. As the people run, the Shadow knights pounce, knocking the people to the ground. Some, manage to escape down an alley, and get themselves to safety. The small group of people sigh in relief. Their happiness of escape, however, is short lived. A blast of red and gold energy strikes the ground before them, knocking them to the ground. They look up, and see Ezra floating high above the ground, her right hand extended forward.

Ezra: Hello there. Lovely day, isn’t it?

Red and gold light swirls around her hand, charging it up for a powerful attack. She releases a barrage of energy blasts, which knock the people to the ground, killing them on contact. White mist swirls around their bodies, and she smiles.

Ezra: Your life force energy. Perfect.

She absorbs the mist through her hand, and her body glows deep red, almost as if she is getting stronger from it.

Scene: The Mythic Chamber.

The teens and Dr. Parker are watching, as Ezra and the Shadow Knights continue their attack on the city.

Erica: There has to be something we can do.

Jarred: Yeah. That freaky woman is looking for us.

Dr. Parker: There is one thing you can do.

Riely: And what would that be?

Dr. Parker: Access the full powers of the crystals. And, I think I have just the thing that will help you do that.

(Opening Credits)

Act1

Scene: The Mythic Chamber.

One of the two large, sliding doors slide open, and Dr. Parker reenters the main room, carrying a silver briefcase, with a large ‘M’ drawn on the front. He places it down on a table, as the teens gather around him.

Paige: What is that for?

Dr. Parker smiles, and opens up the briefcase. Inside, there are five, gold colored cell phones. Each of them is trimmed with the one of the colors of the crystals.

Dr. Parker: These are the Mythic Callers. Using them, and the powers of the Mythic Crystals, you will be able to become the most powerful fighting force known to man. The Power Rangers.

Paige: I don’t remember asking to become a super hero.

Dr. Parker: Well, Paige. The crystals chose you all for a reason. You all have the capabilities to become one of the greatest Ranger team ever.

Riely reaches down into the briefcase, and pulls out the red trimmed phone. He flips it open, and pulls the red Mythic Crystal from his pocket. In place of a screen on the phone, there is an empty slot. He places the crystal in the slot, and smiles.

Riely: You can count me in.

Scene: Downtown Jackson Heights.

Ezra fires blasts of energy from her saber towards the buildings, shattering the windows. People run from within the building, screaming, as it begins to fall towards the ground.

Ezra: I love the smell of destruction in the afternoon. It makes me feel so alive. HAHAHA!

Scene: Realm of Darkness/Prince Delthon’s Palace.

Prince Delthon sits on his throne, watching as his warriors continue their invasion on Jackson Heights. A dark smile spreads across his face.

Prince Delthon: It won’t be long now. Soon, the Mythic Crystals, and that entire pathetic planet, shall be mine.

Scene: Downtown Jackson Heights.

A tall, Caucasian woman with short, black hair, and her young son are running from a Shadow Knight. The creature leaps forward, and grabs onto the child, who screams in terror. The small boy’s mother tries to grab him, but, another Shadow Knights grabs onto her arms, holding her back.

Woman: My baby! Somebody, help!

Paige runs forward, and kicks the Shadow Knight holding onto the small boy, in the head. The Shadow Knight lets go of the boy, and Paige hugs the boy.

Paige: Are you okay?

The boy nods, and begins to wipe his tears away. Riely grabs onto the other Shadow Knights arm, and pulls him away from the woman, and flips it onto the ground.

Riely: Ma’am, are you alright?

Woman: Yes, thank you, both of you. Thank you for saving my son and I.

Paige: No problem. But, you two need to get out of here now.

Woman: Thank you again.

She takes her sons hand, and the two begin to run. Blasts of red and gold energy explode near their feet, sending the two teens flying backwards. They look up, and see Ezra hoovering above them.

Ezra: Who do you think you are, ruining my fun like that?

Riely and Paige slowly rise, as Jarred, Ronnie and Erica come running forward.

Riely: Your fun ends here.

They each pull out their Mythic Callers, and flip them open.

(Commercials)

Act 2

Scene: Downtown Jackson Heights.

The five teens stand before Ezra, their Mythic Callers flipped open, and at their sides.

Riely: You guys ready?

Jarred: Let’s do this.

Riely: Mythic Rage, Engage!

They press on their crystals, which begin to pulse with color. They bring the phones up to their ears, cuing their morphing sequences.

Riely: Power of the Sphinx!

The scene changes to Riely, standing in the middle of a desert, his arms extended out to his sides. A sandstorm picks up, and red sands wrap around his body, and head. As the sands swirls around his body, they begin to thread the fabric that make up his ranger form. Starting down from his feet, we see white boots, with black zig-zags across the top, and red lycra on his legs, with white diamonds going up the sides. Around his waist, he wears a golden belt, with a large ‘M’ as a buckle, with a blaster holster at his left.. Over his chest, he wears white lycra, with a golden strip down the center, and an emblem over his heart, barring colored stripes. Over his arms and wrists, he wears red lycra, and white gloves, with black zig-zags. Sands swirl around his head, forming his helmet, which looks like the Red Wild Force Ranger’s helmet. He now stands completely morphed, as the Red Sphinx Ranger.

Ronnie: Power of the Minotaur!

The scene changes to Ronnie, standing before a labyrinth, his arms extended out to his sides. The ground beneath him begins to shake, as it rises upward, and wrap around his body. As the earth swirls around his body, it begins to thread the fabric that make up his ranger form. Starting from his feet, we see white boots, with black zig-zags across the top, and green lycra on his legs, with white diamonds going up the sides. Around his waist, he wears a golden belt, with a large ‘M’ as a buckle, with a blaster holster at his left. Over his chest, he wears white lycra, with a golden strip down the center, and an emblem over his heart, barring colored stripes. Over his arms and wrists, he wears green lycra, and white gloves, with black zig-zags. The earth swirls around his head, forming his helmet, which looks like the Black Wild Force Ranger’s helmet, but colored green. He now stands completely morphed, as the Green Minotaur Ranger.

Jarred: Power of the Griffin!

The scene changes to Jarred, standing before a cloudy sky, his arms extended out to his sides. Thunder rumbles, as lightning bolts strike his body in various places. As the lightning bolt crackle around his body, they begin to thread the fabric that make up his ranger form. Starting from his feet, we see white boots, with black zig-zags across the top, and yellow lycra on his legs, with white diamonds going up the sides. Around his waist, he wears a golden belt, with a large ‘M’ as a buckle, with a blaster holster at his left. Over his chest, he wears white lycra, with a golden strip down the center, and an emblem over his heart, barring colored stripes. Over his arms and wrists, he wears yellow lycra, and white gloves, with black zig-zags. Bolts of lightning strike his head, and forming his helmet, which looks like the Yellow Wild Force Ranger’s helmet. He now stands completely morphed, as the Yellow Griffin Ranger.

Paige: Power of the Phoenix!

The scene changes to Paige, standing before a large pyramid, her arms extended out to his sides. Pink flames form around her body. As the flames swirl around her body, they begin to thread the fabric that make up her ranger form. Starting from her feet, we see white boots, with black zig-zags across the top, and pink lycra on his legs, with white diamonds going up the sides. Around her waist, he wears a golden belt, with a large ‘M’ as a buckle, with a blaster holster at her left. Beneath her belt, she wears a pink mini-skirt, with white diamonds going up the sides. Over her chest, he wears white lycra, with a golden strip down the center, and an emblem over her heart, barring colored stripes. Over her arms and wrists, she wears pink lycra, and white gloves, with black zig-zags. Pink flames swirl around her head, forming her helmet, which looks like the Yellow Dino Thunder Ranger’s helmet, but colored pink. She now stands completely morphed, as the Pink Phoenix Ranger.

Erica: Power of the Kappa!

The scene changes to Erica, standing before a waterfall, her arms extended out to his sides. Water shoots out from the water fall, and wraps around her body. As the water swirls around her body, it begins to thread the material that makes up her ranger form. Starting from her feet, we see white boots, with black zig-zags across the top, and light blue lycra on his legs, with white diamonds going up the sides. Around her waist, he wears a golden belt, with a large ‘M’ as a buckle, with a blaster holster at her left. Beneath her belt, she wears a light blue mini-skirt, with white diamonds going up the sides. Over her chest, he wears white lycra, with a golden strip down the center, and an emblem over her heart, barring colored stripes. Over her arms and wrists, she wears light blue lycra, and white gloves, with black zig-zags. Water swirls around her head, forming her helmet, which looks like the Green Galaxy Ranger’s helmet, but colored light blue. She now stands completely morphed, as the Blue Kappa Ranger.

The teens stand fully morphed, and look at each other. They can’t believe that they have just been added to the legacy of protectors of the planet.

Pink Ranger: We really are Power Rangers! That’s hot.

Yellow Ranger: I can feel the power surging through my body.

Red Ranger: Me too. Now then, let’s put it to good use.

Green Ranger: Time to take these guys down.

Scene: Realm of Darkness/Prince Delthon’s Palace.

Prince Delthon is shocked to see that the teenagers have used the Mythic Crystals to become Power Rangers.

Prince Delthon: No! Power Rangers?! I don’t believe this!

He rise from his throne, and a golden aura surrounds his body.

Prince Delthon: I’m going to need some help.

Scene: Downtown Jackson Heights.

The Rangers have engaged in battle with Ezra and the Shadow Knights. Pink Ranger and Yellow Ranger drew their blasters, and charge towards the Shadow Knights. Pink Ranger leaps forward, firing pink laser blasts from the weapon, which explode against the Knights’ armor. Yellow Ranger changes his into a small sword, with a white and gold trimmed metallic handle, his Mythic Blade. He used the weapon to slash more of the creatures, sparks flying from their armor.

Blue Ranger and Green Ranger have drawn their blasters, and are firing a barrage of lasers at the creatures. Green Ranger leaps through the air, and spin kicks one of the creatures in the head, and punches another in the chest. He back flips down onto the ground, and draws his Mythic Blade, and slashes some more across the chest. Blue Ranger flips around, dodging attacks from a single Shadow Knight. She kicks the creature in the stomach, then fires a blast at it from her Mythic Blaster. She spins around again, kicking another in the side, kncoking it to the ground.

Red Ranger is having a bit of trouble battling against Ezra. He has his Mythic Blade in had, clashing it with Ezra’s sword. Ezra kicks the Red Ranger in his chest, sending him stumbling backwards. She raises her palm, and fires a blast of red and gold energy, which explodes against his chest. He screams in pain, as he flips backwards, and lands hard against the pavement.

Ezra: Face it you fool. Your little costumes cannot possibly help you.

Red Ranger: Wanna bet?

He flips upward, and spins through the air, firing blasts from his Mythic Blaster. He back flips through the air, and lands on the ground, his teammates standing at his side. They point their Mythic Blasters towards Ezra.

Red Ranger: Fire!

They pull the triggers of their blasters, releasing a blast of colored beams. The beams come together, forming triangular shape, which twirls through the air, and explodes against Ezra’s armor, sending the villain flying backwards. She lands, hard on the hood of a car. She slides down the hood, and slowly rises, grabbing her chest in pain.

Ezra: This...isn’t...over...Power Rangers.

She draws her sword, and slices through the air, opening a portal to the Realm of Darkness, and leaps through it. The portal swirls shut, as the Rangers cheer over their first victory.

Act 3

Scene: Realm of Darkness/Prince Delthon’s Palace.

Prince Delthon pushes open the doors of the throne room, and storms in. Ezra tries to speak to him, but, is angered by her failure. He hurls his arm forward, and firing a beam of golden light at her forehead. She screams out in pain, as she grabs her head.

Ezra: Master...please...forgive me. I’m...sorry. They...they...were to strong for me.

Prince Delthon: I don’t want to hear any of your excuses. Perhaps this can help me more then you could.


He holds up his right hand, and in between his pointer and middle fingers, he is holding a black card, with dark, demonic symbols engraved into it. Ezra’s eye widen, as the card crackles with black energy.

Scene: The Mythic Chamber.

The teens and Dr. Parker are sitting, discussing the battle. Dr. Parker is happy that the morphers he and his brother designed had actually worked.

Riely: That Ezra, she is one tough chick.

Jarred: Yeah, and she ain’t that bad on the eyes.

Erica: Eww.

Jarred: What?

Suddenly, an ear-piercing alarm rings through the chamber. The teens look around, trying to figure out the cause of the sound.

Riely: What’s going on?

Dr. Parker flicks on a computer screen, and we see an image of downtown. In the city, there is a tall, muscular creature, with metallic skin. He wears black pants, and has chains wrapped around his body. Red flames covered his entire body.

Dr. Parker: Delthon has released a creature on the city. You guys need to stop him at once.

Riely: We’re on it.

They pull out their Mythic Callers, and flip them open.

Riely: Mythic Rage, Engage!

Scene: Downtown Jackson Heights.

The creature, Pyros, fires balls of fire from his fists, which explode against various buildings.

???: Hey ugly! Step down!

Pyros turns, and sees the five rangers standing, their arms folded across their chests. A smile spreads across Pyros’ face.

Pyros: I was wondering when you would show up. My master wants your crystals. Hand them over.

He points his fists forward, and launches a barrage of fireballs, which explode against their bodies, sending them flying backwards.

(Commercials)

Act 4

Scene: Realm of Darkness/Prince Delthon’s Palace.

Prince Delthon is watching his view screen, excited that Pyros is defeating the rangers.

Prince Delthon: Excellent. Now, finish them off.

Scene: Downtown Jackson Heights.

Pyros stands over the rangers, a look of sadistic joy spread across his face.

Pyros: Now then. Once you’re all dead, my master can take your little crystals, and concur your world.

He charges up his fist with orange flames, and raises it into the air.

Red Ranger: Now!

Blue Ranger rolls over on her back, and extends her hands forward, firing a surge of water from them. The flames surrounding Pyros’ body disperse, and he cries out in pain.

Pyros: What’s going on?

Red Ranger: You fell for our trap.

Green Ranger: You see, we knew that you would try something like that.

Blue Ranger: So, we decided to use my control over the element of water to help us out.

Pink Ranger: And now, you are going down.

The five draw their Mythic Blasters and leap forward. Red Ranger changes his into his Mythic Blade, and slashes Pyros across the chest. The villain hurls one of his chains forward, and wraps it around the Red Ranger’s waist. Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger fire blasts from their blasters, but, the lasers bounce of his skin. Pink Ranger flips forward, and slashes the chain holding the Red Ranger, with her Mythic Blade. Red Ranger is released, and he falls to the ground, landing on his feet. He and Green Ranger leap forward, and slash the monster across his chest. Pink Ranger flips forward, and lands a flying kick on his chest, sending him flying backwards. As he lands hard, on the ground, the flames on his body reignite.

Pyros: Excellent. Take this!

He extends his hand, and fires a stream of fire from his palm. Pink Ranger extends her hands forward, releasing her own stream of flames from her palms. The flames fight back and forth, and Pyros’ begin to push the Pink Ranger backwards. She grunts in pain, as she fights to keep Pyros’ attack. Using the last of her strength, she finally pushes her arms forward, sending the flames back to Pyros, sending him flying back.

Red Ranger: Guys, let’s finish him.

They draw their Mythic Blasters, and pull the triggers, releasing a blast of colored beams. The beams come together, forming triangular shape, which twirls through the air, and explodes against Pyros’ armor. Pyros screams out in pain, as he falls back, and explodes.

Scene: Dr. Parker’s House/Kitchen.

The teens and Dr. Parker are sitting around the kitchen table, eating some pizza which they ordered, and drinking some soda, as a celebration of their first victory. Dr. Parker raises his glass.

Dr. Parker: I propose a toast. A toast to the new defenders of the planet.

Riely: Here, here.

The teens raise their glasses, and clang them together .

Next Time on Power Rangers Mythic Rage:

- When the Rangers lose against Delthon’s newest monster, Erica doubts her abilities as a Ranger.

- Prince Delthon decides to use Erica’s doubts to his advantage.

- Dr. Parker prepares a new surprise for the Rangers to use against the monster.

Nice ep, duder, though a lil' bit quick on the ending for my tastes. Still a well done adventure of the Mythic Rage Rangers.

good episode, but you could have been a little more original with the costumes, but not that bad. and the "doubt of powers" thing in the 3rd episode is really getting old. *and whatever you do, do not make the 6th ranger black*

Loved the two part premiere of the new series, it looks to be an interesting series to read. Can't wait to read the next installment. :0)
