Hey! I've been working on this project called "Chain Ranger" for quite awhile now. It first starts off with 2 rangers, and after that, I'm kinda stuck to be honest. I've developed the other characters, storylines, and whatnot, but it doesn't seem to be flowing right.

Wow, thanks alot! I'm having trouble trying to explain it without it sounding all basic and whatnot. I've been reading everyone's fanfic's and they seem so well-planned and in-depth, and it's just intimidating to say the least. But umm... I think I'll start off by explaining the fighting tone and approach. My intention for this project was actually alot different from traditional sentai. It was more along the lines of like.... soul calibur, combined with a mortal kombat(trilogy) style of violence. Not really like, "bloody" in the mortal kombat sense, but as in attacks, like the yellow ranger's sortuv "hellish" look was inspired by my love for Scorpion when was about 7 or 8 getting into games and mighty morphin. Densuke(chain yellow)'s weapon is in fact the harpoon, along with his animal zord. But for my red ranger, Sajin, his appearance and violent demeanor are a combination of Kilik and Ryu. Not necessarily because they were main characters in those games, but because the had standard attacks and whatnot. They were the first two rangers I'd developed fighting style-wise. But for their attitudes, Sajin's very cool-headed and Densuke's the impatient and short-tempered. In the beginning, they didn't really get along(they DID train together before meeting up)and they butt heads, but as the episodes progress, Sajin and Densuke sort of make a bond(or at least it seems). And it later breaks when Chain Ranger Venom(green) appears. I'll hafta make a comic I guess. =\

Sajin, Ryu Ranger. Yakuza leader who grew up with Densuke(yellow). Fights in the traditional karate style and dabbles in the drunken arts.

Andrea, Chain Ranger Raven http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v637/kandoken/chainraven.gif (Sajin's ex gf). She gets her powers waaay later in the series. She learned the Raven-ryu style of fighting, which is somewhat "cutty" I'd say. Umm.... she's a champion fencer and has a wealthy background, but is known for stealing and drag-racing. That's how she met Sajin. She has a pet Raven, Edgar(? not sure if I want that.... too cliche) who can sense danger, death, and fights alongside her. It later gives its life to'er and she becomes chain raven, the ranger form and raven are linked so one's pain can feel anothers(not sure if I wanna go with that).

If anyone knows Hedy Burress, the voice of Yuna in FFX, that's the voice I would want for her to be... oddly enough.

I'm sorry man. Rangerboards was eff'd up the past couple of days(for me anyway)... I'm kinda stuck artistically when it comes to comics, I have like 0 experience, and I don't want it to look crap. So I guess I'll hafta type it... which kinda blows, cuz I wanna emphasize the fight scenes as completely different from traditional sentai.

Here's an idea. If doing an entire comic is too hard, then why not join the two concepts? So have it written, but have some pictures scattered throughout (or just for the fight scenes) to help punctuate your words. If done right, it could be a good blend.

Knuckles - That's a great idea, dood! Then, I could just type the dialog, and when it comes to fight scenes I could draw THAT, instead of the entire comic! Kickass!

Bemitri - I wish I could change it.... but I wanted to give my concepts the ninja edge it needed.... so those feet ninja feet'er gonna hafta stay, I'm afraid. Boots/traditional sentai bottoms wouldn't really stand out much to be honest. =\

It's my fault for the difficulty, I still haven't developed my concepts completely, as for the story, Chapter 1 is in progress and should be done by next week. The monster and mech designs'll be a pain though. =\

Nice one... hope mine is just as could. Do you mind doing the psyco suits based for the year 2300... as I'm thinking of introdcu them in about two or thre chapters time. Could you also do a decipion of what they look like, do as if you're writing a story. I would do it myself, but I'm no at that kind of thing :(

ChainVenom's the green one. I just never posted him up yet. As for other colors, I'm just gonna stick to these 7 for now, oranger, purple, gold and silver don't really work for me. They looked really cheesy when I modified it in photoshop. As for the fanfic, I hafta postpone it for awhile. I've been really busy doing alot of art projects and I've been barely keeping up with my own sad to say. Sorry guys.

Dragen, I don't have a problem helping you develop your concepts, but if you want me to do them, you'll have to explain them clearly and show some form of detail. You also have to be patient, if you wait long enough, maybe you'll get something in that ^ quality. Drawings like that take a long time to develop. I'm willing to work with you again, but you have to give me time, some decent references, and good descriptions to be satisfied with your results.

I can wait for them... as I said last night... the psyco ranger sute of the male and female of the future you can decide what they look like I don't mind... as long as they are black and wight as I haven't decided what colors I want yet. For the other ones, I'll look up other sites to see what I like to see what I want on them.

Is chain Black a Sumo Character(as in fat)? If so, this is the first fat ranger I've seen and read about, and he looks awsome.

If your wondering why I said the above comment, I'm fat aswell(moreso chubby than obese). It's great to see that a fat Ranger doesn't look goofy.

Everything Else:
Those other designs are awesome man. I'm just wondering, are the Chain Rangers Evil, or do they just have bad attitudes? That Dairanger pic(with all five rangers) looks really cool. I may have to ask you in the future if you could do a project for me, that is, if I can ever think what I want my characters to look like(it takes me months to visualize a character completly, not to mention the zords, which are like three times harder).

Ok. I just saw this thread and I looked through it all and by the way you want to write the story and all the artwork is freaking amazing man. I totally can't wait to see your final stuff for this and to get the story up. This looks amazing.

Sorry for the delay again. I've just been really busy packing and whatnot. 'll shut up and setup the layout.

Ok, Chainranger's setting is somewhat like that of Naruto by means of ninjitsu techniques and weapon usage. They have the ability to cast spells from acquiring forbidden scrolls ("chained scrolls") which, once obtained their beast can translate text to the person, thus learning the technique. This does not apply to all scrolls and jutsu. Some can only be executed with or while the scroll is at hand, those scrolls are known as 'saidojutsu' scrolls. Also some scrolls can be traded, shared, and duplicated(...). Now scrolls can expire depending on how often a ninja/Chain'nin/demon summons them, so ninja magic won't be used constantly. This leaves room for weaponry. Now a good ninja sets up traps and illusions for their opponent, this leaves room for my imagination and I get a little sidetracked. The first thing I think of is a demon throwing a punch at Densuke, and an exclamation mark "!" replaces Den's body and instantly cuts to a swarm of knives surrounding the enemy and close in that same instant.

Anyways! There will be judges in Chainranger also. Now just referees, but like gigantic armored soldiers. So far I've only designed 3, and they have distinctive personalities. They'll appear in random battles, some climactic and some regular. They set the rules and if broken, receive a punishment depending on how serious. Umm.... I wish I could post up more stuff, but I'm afraid I have to jet. I'll try to update as soon as I can, I've ben gang-rapedizzled with work and such. :(
