i'm trying to find a fic that's well established. it seems like every time i read a fic i like, it lasts for a chapter or two and never gets finished.

Well i could be short compaired to another that is out there (BTW I like ur s/n) But if your lookingfor long running i can say i've written 79 'eps' and I am working on my 80th. I've been at My fic (Power Rangers Battle Force) for a year and about 4 months now. But i will add it is a aquadard taste

I think Crys/ModrnRomance's fics were the longest running here on RB. They started back in the late 90's and ended just recently.

If you count all sequels, prequels, and spin-offs, mine lasted for the better part of a year. The Legacyverse had a good run, but it's time to move on. New one's been in the works for a while now, look for it soon. :023:

Power Rangers: Olympia lasted about a year and a half. It had a 30 epsiode season, a 10 part miniseries, and a finalie movie. My next major fanfic, "Power Rangers: Renagade" will take place in the same universe, and I am planning a team-up movie between the two, as well as a team up movie with another author. Also, Olympia is scedualed to return for a second mini-series later on.

But while my fic defenetly lasted a bit, CR14/MR13's Crystal Saga fics lasted about 5-6 years, I think. Ryuranger's Ultamite PR lasted about the same.

I heard it ended with the world being destroyed. Anyone got a link?

Sorta, but the short lived Magna Crystals sorta undid that.

Its only fifty eps and a movie but I found this fic to be very good the guys also works on other series like sailor moon and giant robot stories. This one is called angloman http://www.geocities.com/anglored2004/

something called the crystellansaga was huge it ran for 3 years had well over 200 chapters they had 8 different ranger sagas and was made up of close to 30 chapters each give or take a few and movies and everything. The site seems to be down now.
If anyone on the board reads this an wrote it or know who did I'd love to talk to themand tell them how much I like it cause I printed it so I could read it cause staring at a computer screen gets annoying.


This is very good also and the one called terra saga tells the story of before the power rangers with rita and zordon amazingly.

I've been preparing mine since Junior High, which would be ... almost ten years. Almost since Power Rangers first came out. I did Fire and Ice back then, and continued my storylines up to ZEO ... I planned out my entire epic story arc, from birth to death, but as my writing skills progressed, I decided to go back and rewrite my older fanfics. My new Fire and Ice is the first in this line. I had always wanted to redo Power Rangers as something serious. Now I have the forum with Rangerboard to share my story with the fans out there.

Yep, you're all right about The Crystal Saga. Started around 98-99, ended in December 2004. Technically, "The End of the World" was gonna be the end...for real. That would've been it. Fin. But then I felt like continuing the story, because I felt like I'd have nothing else to do in my spare time. So I managed a way for it to continue, but then everything went to a hault when my friend passed away. I didn't really have the "umf" to do any work, no matter what form it was in. Well things are sorta back to normal now, but I never did get that urge to write a fanfic again..

time you spent preparing doesnt count. if it did, my fic would be as old as mmpr itself, and i havent even posted it yet.

I may have too, but i agree with you with the preparing, i'm prepared to write my work to the point where i want to end, but it doesn't mean i'll have the ideas or the time to get to it.
