The Linkup
by : Power Blue and Voltz(my old name)
In a galaxy millions of light-years away from the Milky Way, an evil plan is brewing to create a wormhole to gain access to connect the Planet Doom with the Milky Way galaxy.
On Planet Doom in King Zarkon's palace, Hagar, under King Zarkon's orders, is creating a device that would create a wormhole directly connecting Doom to the Milky Way galaxy.
"Hagar, how close are you to completing the device?" asked King Zarkon impatiently.
"Very close, the IWD (Intergalactic Wormhole Device) is near completion. Only a few more additions must be made before I can enter the calculations for the device to start," said Hagar.
"Great, "said Zarkon as he sat in his throne.
Prince Lotar entered the throne room, curious about what was going on.
"Father, what device is Hagar working on?" asked Prince Lotar.
"He is creating a device that will create a wormhole linking the Milky Way galaxy and Planet Doom," answered King Zarkon.
"What for? What do you want with that galaxy anyway?" asked Lotar.
"It's not too complicated, so I'll explain. Thousands of years ago, before I arrived on Doom, I met a villain named Dark Specter. He and I were good friends and reigned with a large evil streak within the another galaxy that is lost now. He was starting an Alliance of Evil in his part of the universe to destroy all that is good. Just recently, an informant of mine told me of his progress. The good sage Zordon has been captured by Dark Specter but his proteges, the Power Rangers, much like the Voltron Force, are searching to get him back. Dark Specter has ordered an exquisite villainess to keep the Rangers away and in the process, destroy them. I plan to use the villainess' assistance in destroying Voltron and the Voltron Force. Although she works for Dark Specter, he shouldn't mind. If she's too loyal to Dark Specter, Hagar will cast a spell to make her join in an alliance with me," concluded King Zarkon.
"All of this sounds good, but why her? Why not Dark Specter?" asked Prince Lotar.
"Dark Specter is the head of evil in that region of the universe. He has lots to do including draining Zordon of his power. Besides, I decided that recruiting the female would be much easier, " said King Zarkon.
"For once, I can compliment you on you plan Father," said Prince Lotar.
"Yes, Son. One day, you'll learn what it takes to be me," said King Zarkon.
"King Zarkon! The IWD is finished!" exclaimed Hagar.
"Wonderful progress Hagar. We're going to the Overstretch cliffs, so bring the device with us."
"Yes, King Zarkon."
"Son, are you coming with us?"
"Yes, Father. I'd love to see this," said Prince Lotar.
Once Hagar had the IWD in his hands, the trio teleported to the Overstretch cliffs.
"Hagar, set the instrument up," ordered King Zarkon.
"Dad, why didn't we just set the instrument at the palace and use it from there?' asked Prince Lotar.
"I can answer that, Prince Lotar. Such is being done because the wormhole needs to reach a diameter so that Astronema's ship can fit through. Also, the wormhole needs to be farther away granting that the ship doesn't encounter any unexpected gravity fields nearby. The wormhole will be oblivious to the naked eye, but the scanners on the planet are set to recognize this presence. After that, the scanners will be deactivated to conserve power," said Hagar.
"Hagar, have you finished yet?" asked King Zarkon.
"No, not yet."
"WELL, GET TO IT!"
"Yes King Zarkon." Hagar turned away from the prince and began to enter the calculations necessary for the creation of the wormhole.
***
As the last calculation was entered, Hagar pressed the "Release" button. A ray of enormous energy was fired from the machine. It continued on a direct path through the atmosphere until it was 100 miles from its point of origin.
The ray began to spread into a wide circle fifty miles in diameter. Once the circle was completely formed, another ray was fired into the circle to create the link to the Milky Way galaxy. In ten Earth minutes, a ray of energy appeared near the constellation Pegasus. The ray began to take on the same effects that occurred near Doom. Hagar was able to regulate the progress of the wormhole and soon discovered that it was fully created.
"King Zarkon, the wormhole is complete!" exclaimed Hagar.
"Great. Now to relay my message." King Zarkon raised his staff and fired a beam through the wormhole.
On the Dark Fortress, Astronema was concentrating on her next attack against the Power Rangers.
"Astronema!" called Darkonda from one of the Command room stations.
"What is it Darkonda?" asked Astronema with anger in her voice. She had just been sitting on her throne, relaxed from a day's work of strategizing against the Rangers.
"I've made a grave discovery. In quadrant 352, near Pegasus's hoof, a wormhole has opened."
"How can that be? There aren't any natural wormholes for light-years."
"It was created. I haven't detected any energies from this galaxy that could have created it. Someone from another galaxy must have created it."
"Sorry to interrupt my Princess, but we have an incoming message. Its origin is from through the wormhole," stated Ecliptor.
"Display it on the viewing screen," ordered Astronema.
As the message was displayed on-screen, the face of a vampire-human like man with a crown on his head came into picture and began to speak.
"Astronema, Princess of Evil, I am King Zarkon of the planet Doom. I am an old-time friend, associate, of Dark Specter. I am in need of your services. I know that we evil villains don't work for free, so I am prepared to service you with something you want. Doom technology provides many treasures when utilized correctly. This is an invitation to come to my planet in a galaxy on one of the far ends of the universe. Dark Specter shouldn't mind a temporary leave of absence. Besides, you departure will be for a greater evil. If you decide to come, come through the wormhole. Don't worry; it's very safe. For we of evil are just alike, and I need you like you need me." The message vanished from the viewing screen.
Darkonda was the first to speak. "I've never heard of 'King Zarkon' but what he has to offer must be genuine. I doubt that this is a trick."
"But we must be careful Astronema. We are not sure of what is on the other side of that wormhole," cautioned Ecliptor.
"If this is a trap, we have the capability to protect ourselves. I think that this King Zarkon is one after my own purposes," said Astronema. She sat on her throne. "Release the thruster brakes. Change our focal direction and head towards the wormhole." Darkonda and Ecliptor manned the required stations for the trip.
In five minutes, the Dark Fortress was thirty miles away from the wormhole.
"Astronema, I have deactivated all thruster brakes and activated all friction resistors. The gravitational pull of the wormhole will begin to take effect in a few short minutes. The ride through will be strange but should be safe," said Ecliptor.
"All right. Proceed," commanded Astronema.
The suction of the wormhole could be compared to that of a vacuum cleaner. The Dark Fortress experienced an incredible jerk as it entered the wormhole. Once inside, it was as if the momentary jerk was sustained throughout the length of the Dark Fortress's travel through the wormhole. There were no bumps or sharp curves, just a straight direct path. Once they encountered the end of the wormhole, the jerking sensation had ended. The occupants of the Dark Fortress found themselves in a part of the universe that had been secluded from the rest. This revelation dazzled some and left others in complete shock.
Astronema quickly resumed command. "Elgar, engage the thruster brakes and disengage the friction resistors. Darkonda, ready the Quantrons in case this is a trap. Ecliptor, try to establish contact with King Zarkon."
"No need for that last command," said King Zarkon as he appeared in the main control room. He stood directly in front of Astronema.
"How did you get in here with out encountering any barriers?" asked Astronema.
"Remember, you're on my turf. I'm not out to get you. I just want to create a partnership with you. Let's go to my palace and discuss the situation," said King Zarkon.
Astronema remained speechless for a few seconds. "I'll go, but Ecliptor comes with me along with some Quantrons."
"Bring whoever you please," said King Zarkon with a smile.
"Darkonda," Astronema looked at the villain, "stay here and protect the fortress."
"Yes Astronema."
"Are you ready?" asked King Zarkon.
"Let's go."
***
To Astronema, King Zarkon's palace favored the medieval palaces in Earth's past. During her tour of the palace, she learned many things about Zarkon. One important fact she learned was he kept his promises. As she finally entered his throne room, she met two people that were very important to Zarkon.
First, she met Hagar. She learned that Hagar was a crafty old witch who devised all of Zarkon's devilish plots. She created the robeasts, which have some semblance to monsters.
_She could be of great use_ thought Astronema as she walked to meet the next person.
Prince Lotar was the next person Astronema met. She realized that father and son shared no physical characteristics. She began to wonder whether they were alike in personality, but Zarkon began to speak.
"Astronema, I've created a mock throne for you to sit in beside me," said King Zarkon as he sat on his throne.
"No matter. I'll design it to suit me." Astronema fired a ray of energy from her hand to change the mock throne into a replica of her own on the Dark Fortress. She sat down and began to listen to what King Zarkon had to say.
"Astronema, I require you assistance in depleting a force of good. I am a sworn enemy to the Voltron Force. They stand in my way of gaining control of the planet Aries. Their mega-robot Voltron is my worst enemy. If I can destroy him, then the rest is easy."
"So your only problem is this Voltron. Tell me, what are the Voltron Force and Voltron like compared to the Power Rangers I face?"
"Well, things are sorta different here. Let me start with my advances." King Zarkon cleared his throat. "My robeasts are much like your monsters, but they are gigantic in size from the start. As for the Voltron Force, they have no power like the Rangers. The Voltron Force has some martial arts skills and are resourceful but not too much. There are five of them, and each controls a separate lion machine, Zord in your perspective. The lions form Voltron. Voltron is much like a MegaZord with many capabilities. That's all."
Astronema stared at King Zarkon for a moment. She had a look of disappointment on her face but spoke otherwise. "So I see. Well tell me, what technology will you provide for me?"
"That's the easy part. Doom technology is far advanced than any in this section of the universe, I think. It has been around since the dawn of Doom. As a matter of fact, the technology was created by Merla, the Queen of Darkness in this region of the universe." He paused and bowed his head in a sort of regret. "She is also the reason why we don't know how to utilize the technology. She 'saw the light' and became good, taking the knowledge of the technology with her. If you know some way to use it, be my guest, but first, help me to destroy Voltron."
Astronema began to smile evilly. "Of course I'll help. I'll send my technologist specialists to inspect what remains of Merla's evil technology."
"What of the assistance my father requires?" Prince Lotar sternly asked. He was standing at King Zarkon's left.
Astronema's Wrath Staff appeared in her right hand, and she pointed towards Prince Lotar. "Don't you worry about 'grown folks business'. You mind yourself."
King Zarkon quickly rose to defend his son. "Astronema, there's no need for evil-on-evil violence. Let's save the hostilities for the Voltron Force."
Astronema removed her staff from Lotar's neck. "Yes, King Zarkon."
"Now, how are you going to help me?" asked King Zarkon.
Five data cards appeared in Astronema's hand. "By using these."

Previously on Joint Force Strike: King Zarkon ordered Haggar to create a wormhole device, creating a link between Planet Doom and the Milky Way. Haggar achieved the goal and contacted Astronema. King Zarkon convinced Astronema to come to Doom to help him destroy Voltron. Will Zarkon's evil plan prove successful? Find out on Joint Force Strike next!
*IWD- Intergalactic Wormhole Device
Psycho Charge!
Written by: Power Blue and Psycho Voltz(my old name)
The throne room of King Zarkon was congested with the greatest and most diverse amount of villains it has ever held. From Drules to robots to a solitary human, the room was saturated with evil. Details were being brainstormed and opinions discussed, all in the name of evil. Astronema and King Zarkon faced each other as they discussed a plan to decimate the Voltron Force of Arus. At Astronema’s side stood Ecliptor, Darkonda, and Quantrons. Haggar stood to Zarkon’s left, while Prince Lotor sat to his father’s right. Of all the villains from Doom, Prince Lotor was the most skeptical of any help Astronema could provide, and he showed such freely.
"And how are those cards supposed to help my father?"
Astronema stared daggers at Prince Lotor. It was alien for Astronema to have her plans questioned and she wanted to make Lotor face her Wrath Staff. However, she knew such rash movements wouldn’t go well with her alliance. She wanted Zarkon’s resources for her own at any stake. She calmed herself in order to address the prince.
"Prince Lotor, these data cards encase five powerful warriors. They should find the task of destroying Voltron easy."
"If I may ask, why are the warriors inside the data cards?"
"The Rangers trapped them inside," replied Astronema, curtly.
"How?"
Astronema seethed in anger with Lotor’s constant flow of questions. Instead of answering his question directly, she had Ecliptor fill him in.
"Astronema ordered the creation of a machine that could demolecularize a being, changing their molecules to electronic data, and placing this data on data cards. However, the Rangers were able to trick them into a trap and made them into data cards."
"I see. What are the names of these warriors?" asked King Zarkon.
"They are the Psycho Rangers."
"An evil version of the Power Rangers?"
"They are far more than an evil version of the Power Rangers," stated Ecliptor. “They can strike fear in the heart of the greatest being of good.”
"Well, how do you plan to release them?" asked Prince Lotor.
_Here goes the brat again. _ "With Haggar's help," replied Astronema.
Haggar stepped towards the circle of head villains. "I know that this may not be my conversation, but I do have a question."
"What is it Haggar?"
"Well Astronema, if the Psycho Rangers are bound within a computerized prison, how am I supposed to free them? My specialty is more along the lines of dark magic, not evil technology. I was barely able to construct the IWD* without any problems."
"Don’t worry; we have a solution to that problem.”
Ecliptor added, “You could bypass the Psychos’ technological prison by summoning the evil magic that they are comprised of."
"I never thought of it that way, how silly of me."
Astronema handed Haggar the data cards.
"I'll work on it immediately." Haggar left the throne room.
"And now wait King Zarkon. Now we wait."

The Astro Ranger teens were walking along the shoreline of Angel Grove Beach, enjoying the beauty of the scenery.
"It's been magnificent ever since we destroyed the Secret City," said Carlos. He walked along side Andros.
"Yeah, Astronema hasn't attacked for three days now," noted T.J. He was leaning on Cassie as she hung onto Ashley for support. She successfully pushed T.J. off of her, making him walk by himself.
The teens shared a quick laugh and continued to walk.
Continuing the conversation, Ashley responded ironically, “And that’s a bad thing?”
“It can be,” replied Andros, solemnly. He had been quiet the entire time the Rangers had been at the beach. “She could be planning something big.”
Ashley grabbed Andros’ hand and flashed him a smile. “You worry too much. DECA and Alpha are watching our backs for us.”
*Beep*
The group stopped in reaction to the noise. Andros wanted to make a comment, but T.J. beat him to the punch. "Guys, it's 10:30."
"Yeah, we better get back to the Megaship," said Carlos.
"Why? It's summer break. We have no more school for three months!" exclaimed Cassie.
Ashley supported the notion and grinned at Andros for being so uptight when he should be relaxed.
T.J. slapped his forehead. "I nearly forgot. I'm so used to doing things automatically."
Cassie placed her hands on the sides of T.J.'s head and shook it playfully. "Well now you have time to adjust." T.J. took her hands away. He was about 'mock slap' Cassie when Carlos spoke up.
"How about we stay at least another thirty minutes?"
Everyone gave his and her statement of approval.

The planet Arus was a planet of absolute marvel, well beyond Doom's landscape. In this section of the universe, the two planets were alone but lived in nearly constant war. Doom housed the malevolency of King Zarkon, who sought to acquire the riches of planet Arus through derogatory means. At one time, planet Arus had no defense to stop Zarkon's threats and thefts. That was, until the king of Arus, King Alfor, created the ultimate defense machine to fight the evil minions of King Zarkon. This weapon was Voltron.
Zarkon was terribly upset at the resourcefulness of the 'human' king and sought to destroy the robot called Voltron. Zarkon succeeded when Haggar was able to separate the robot into five separate parts, appearing to render Voltron useless, but King Alfor had other plans in mind. Before his death, King Alfor had devised a way for Voltron to be summoned once more. Five men discovered the key and drove back the evil of Zarkon's forces from planet Arus, thus the ongoing battle between the Voltron Force and King Zarkon’s Drules.
Around the same time the Ranger teens were walking on the beach, Princess Allura and the other members of the Voltron Force were going through a photo album that Nanny and Koran had made. They were currently looking at a picture of the original Voltron Force with the majestic Castle of Lions in the background.
"I remember when this picture was taken. This was after we first operated the robot lions and formed Voltron," said Pidge. He sat to the left of Princess Allura. She was sitting in the center of the group.
Keith, Lance, and Hunk suddenly became nostalgic as their thoughts flowed back to that day.
“It’s too bad that Sven isn’t with us now. He was a great guy.” Pidge smiled, sort of regretfully.
“Indeed he was. I always wondered what happened to him,” said Hunk.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that Zarkon had something to do with it,” replied Lance with anger in his voice.
“And that makes us all the more determined to defeat old’ Bat Ears once and for all. Besides, we’ve got a great replacement for Sven,” said Keith as he patted Allura on her right shoulder.
Princess Allura stood up and faced the four males. “Guys, I’ve been thinking.”
“About what Princess?” asked Hunk genuinely.
“Well, when was the last time Zarkon sent a robeast to attack Arus?”
The others thought for a while, trying to think of an answer.
“My thoughts exactly. We can’t remember. It’s been so long that we forgot!”
Lance quickly stood up. He was obviously pleased about something. “Allura’s right. This could mean he’s finally gave up!”
“I doubt it Lance,” said Keith quickly. Lance continued standing and almost fired off a smart comment to counter Keith’s, but Keith spoke again. “Zarkon’s too stubborn to just give up. What do you think he could be doing, Allura?”
“I don’t know, and I’m somewhat scared to find out.”
Nanny quickly entered the room with a worrisome look on her face. “You boys are going to give Princess Allura nightmares.” She hit each male on his head.
Princess Allura tried to explain the situation, but Nanny wouldn’t listen.
“It’s time you stop making excuses for these men, Princess. Furthermore, it’s time for all of you to retire for the evening.”
“Already?” questioned Pidge.
“Yes. Now go to your separate quarters. Go, go, go!”
There was no arguing with Nanny. She was in her hyperactive overprotective mood. Each member of the Voltron Force followed her orders and bid each other good night.
A ray of light shined through the solitary window. A witch neared the completion of the project that had lasted her the night. Although there were a number of uncertainties, Haggar felt as if she had finally reached a conclusion. Haggar placed each data card three feet from each other. Then she painted a strip of each Psychos respective color before their data card. Satisfied with her progress, she called Astronema and King Zarkon to witness the final results.
The two head villains teleported into Haggar’s basement laboratory. King Zarkon held Astronema’s right hand as they walked towards Haggar. King Zarkon then released the Princess of Evil’s hand as he questioned Haggar concerning her certainty that the final procedure will work.
“I’m positive it will, my king.”
King Zarkon didn’t respond but rather nodded for Haggar to begin. He rejoined Astronema as they stood back to watch Haggar work her magic.
As the witch began the enchantment to release the technologically confined warriors, each data card began to illuminate their corresponding prisoner’s color. Then the data cards began to levitate five feet from the floor. As if for a ‘grand finale,’ colored lightning struck each data card, severing them all into pieces.
But the fun didn’t end there.
Colored spheres of energy hovered where the data cards once were. The spheres grew in size until they dispersed to reveal….
Â…. the Psycho Rangers.
“Amazing, Astronema. Amazing.” King Zarkon left Astronema’s side to inspect, well rather marvel the appearances of the warriors before him.
The Psycho Rangers remained silent during their inspection until ‘the unknown villain’ moved to Astronema’s side once more.
“It’s great to be back; isn’t it Psychos?”
“Yes Astronema,” said Psycho Blue. He eyed his surrounds and spoke once more. “But why bring us back? We thought you wanted us out of the way.”
“Not true Psycho Blue.” Astronema walked closer to the Psychos and began to pace her steps. “Ecliptor…. interpreted the situation incorrectly, although you DID foil my plans in establishing my own forces.”
“You still didn’t answer Psycho Blue’s question. Why are we here?” asked a mildly enraged Psycho Red. He hated being under Astronema’s rule and even being in her presence with a vengeance.
Astronema squarely faced the Psycho Rangers. “You are on the planet Doom. I have formed an alliance with King Zarkon, the villain you see behind me. He needs warriors to defeat five bothersome humans and a powerful robot. I told him that he could use you five, and here you are.”
The Psycho Rangers were semi-stunned at the response Astronema had given them, but not enough for Astronema to recognize.
“Well, at least we know our purpose,” said Psycho Yellow.
“Are these humans Rangers?”
“Not really Psycho Pink.” King Zarkon stepped up to Astronema’s side. He cast a visual image of the Voltron Force before the Psycho Rangers. “These are the five bothersome humans. They are known as the Voltron Force. They have no type of power within themselves. As you see, they wear colored suits to match their respective lion robot.” A picture of each robot lion was cast. “The five lions combine to form the powerful robot, Voltron.” Zarkon’s speech was ended with a visual of the massive robot.
“The humans are easy prey,” commented Psycho Black.
“We’re gonna turn that robot into scrap metal!” exclaimed Psycho Red.
“As long as you stick to your ultimate goal,” Astronema stressed the word ‘ultimate’ as she looked at Psycho Red, “your mission should be easily accomplished.”
“You don’t have to worry about that. Our targets will be eliminated,” said Psycho Yellow.
“Great. Now is the best time for you to attack. It is early morning on Arus and the Voltron Force won’t expect such an attack. Haggar…”
A pile of equipment fell in a distant corner. A figure stumbled over the fallen debris and began to head towards King Zarkon. The evil king was not surprised when the figure revealed himself to be Yurak, Zarkon’s fleet commander.
Neither Astronema nor the Psychos knew who the intruder was and instantaneously became defensive. Astronema summoned Darkonda and Ecliptor to guard her against whoever the intruder may be. For all Astronema knew, the intruder could have been someone sent to destroy Zarkon! That was something she didn’t want to be caught in the middle of.
Yurak barely had time to assert himself before two swords were at the base of his neck. He was quickly apprehended and forced to face a beautiful borg-like villainess and his master, King Zarkon. As he was waiting for someone to say something, he eyed Haggar standing by five fierce warriors. The colors of the warriors almost reflected those of the Voltron Force, except for the one in pink. Yurak marveled at the evil radiating from the warriors before him and his apprehenders, as well as the villainess in the room.
Zarkon quickly gained Yurak’s attention when he began to speak. “Darkonda, Ecliptor, you may release him.” Yurak rubbed the places he had been grabbed and his neck. Suddenly, King Zarkon stared directly at Yurak. “As for you, why are you here? I didn’t call for you.”
Yurak cast a puzzled look at his master. “Are you sure, master?”
“Don’t question me!” Zarkon couldn’t believe the incompetence of Yurak.
Yurak began to stammer. “Prince…Prince Lotor told…told me about these people, sire, and told me you’d explain everything yourself.”
An angry expression erupted on King Zarkon’s face. “That deceptive son of mine!” Zarkon moved from Yurak with disgust in his heart towards Lotor. He quickly calmed himself down once he realized the task that lay before him. “Never mind my son. Yurak, leave the room. I don’t need you.” Zarkon waved his hand, motioning Yurak to leave.
But before Yurak had a chance to move, a voice spoke the following words, “No, let him stay.” Astronema had been incredibly silent and almost nonexistent through the ordeal with Yurak. Only when Ecliptor and Darkonda appeared had she ever been remotely put in the spotlight. This sudden statement from her was truly out-of-the-blue and momentarily stunned King Zarkon.
“Why? Yurak’s good for nothing. He foils up nearly everything he does! The only reason I keep him is because I have no one else!”
Astronema was calm and sure of herself, not letting Zarkon’s recent outburst throw her from what she intended to say. “He can still remain Zarkon for…” Astronema paused, waiting for Zarkon to say two words.
“For what?”
Astronema looked at King Zarkon evilly and said, “I have a plan.”
The Voltron Force had awakened early in the morning, by request of Princess Allura. She had obviously wanted to go shopping in the city but knew Nanny and Koran wouldn’t approve; they'd say something along the lines of “You wouldn’t be safe, Princess…” and “…bad publicity for the Princess of Arus to be walking the streets alone.” Thus, Allura had a plan. Although her friends moaned and groaned, Lance being the hardest to arouse, the other members of the Voltron Force accompanied Allura to her early morning shopping escapade.
It was nine o’clock; the time where general consumers came out to shop in the capital’s many stores. Keith looked at his watch as he and his friends exited a women’s clothing store. “Princess, it’s almost nine. We better get back before Nanny and Koran throw a fit.”
Princess Allura grimaced with sharp realization of the results of being late but began to smile. “Well there’s one more store I want to go to. It’s on the corner of the next block, so you guys can stay right here and rest. I’ll be quick.” Allura deposited her bags with Hunk and quickly broke into a run. The guys watched her run, then immediately started a conversation.
As Allura was running, she noticed a solitary male walking along the opposite side of the sidewalk. She began to stare a bit too much at the male, and before she knew it, she fell.
The man quickly ran to her side. “Are you all right?” He assisted the fallen princess to her feet.
“I am. I was being nosey and tripped over a rock, I guess.” Princess Allura was in the arms of the helpful stranger. She couldn’t help but notice the build of the man she was with. His fairly muscular arms and chest weren’t hard to miss and were very comforting. She almost lost focus on everything else but was brought back to reality by the man’s velvety voice.
“Excuse me, but I don’t know your name.” The man let Princess Allura free from his hold as she now stood before him. “I’m Lucas.”
“Princess…Princess Allura.” She extended her hand as Lucas received it and gently kissed it, making the princess blush.
Lucas looked at the princess and began to speak but stopped when he saw three men and a little boy running towards Allura and him. “I think we have visitors.” He pointed behind Allura as she turned to see what he was speaking of.
Keith and Lance both ran to Allura's side, but Keith was the first to question the princess about any pain. Once she answered positively, Lance and Keith relaxed easily, glad that the princess wasn't hurt. They, along with Hunk and Pidge, thanked Lucas for aiding the princess. As Lucas shook each male's hand, they noticed the slight coldness in Lucas' hand, but it was not enough to comment upon. Lucas caught wind of the other male's sense of concern when they shook his hand. _As long as they don't catch on to my guise, everything will be all right. _ He stood amongst them now in silence, eyeing each other. But the silence soon ended.
Several orbs of silver appeared in the middle of the street, suspended in air. The Voltron Force quickly noticed them and watched as they materialized into metallic beings of a gray and black tint.
"What are those?" asked Hunk with an element of surprise. Soon his question was answered by one of three figures that also teleported to the street.
“Quantrons,” spoke the crystalline being. He appeared to show absolutely no emotion and looked straight ahead towards the Voltron Force.
“And who are you two?” asked Keith, directing his question towards the crystalline being and the alien that was beyond a decent description.
“I am Ecliptor,” spoke the crystalline being, “and my…associate is Darkonda. “We are the emissaries of the evil princess Astronema. She has joined forces with King Zarkon and we are now planning to take over your world.”
“Don’t you know, Ecliptor, that we won’t let the likes of you do that?” asked Princess Allura.
Yurak, offended by Allura’s comment, spoke up. “You good guys are so blind. Quantrons, attack!”
The five humans quickly fell into a fight formation and faced their new adversaries. Although they as a majority were exceptionally skilled fighters, they had a very hard time adapting to the fighting styles of the Quantrons. They didn’t exactly fall down when hit and it seemed as if they continued to come back for more. Pidge even began to show signs of tiring as the Quantrons began to wear him down. However, as teamwork would have it, the Voltron Force quickly asserted the Quantrons’ weaknesses and sent them running back to Ecliptor, Yurak, and Darkonda.
“Looks like your foot soldiers are worthless. Maybe Zarkon was wrong in hiring Astronema. Even she can’t do better than a low-life Drule,” commented Lance, with a smirk on his face.
“Oh she can do MUCH better. Show them Ecliptor.”
Ecliptor raised his sword to the sky as a bolt of lightning was emitted from it. All of a sudden, a large orb of coalescing energy appeared above their heads. It began to drift downward towards the villains, slowly taking its time.
“We’ll let them deal with those five,” said Ecliptor as he and the other grounded villains disappeared.
As the multicolored orb continued to drift downward, it separated into five monocolored orbs of blue, pink, red, yellow, and black. These orbs finally touched ground and materialized into five warriors. Each warrior’s suit was made of metal plating formed over the body in their corresponding colors. On their belts were golden N insignias. On the top of their helmets were black spaces each showing a different colored crystal. Each helmet had flared sides giving them an almost demonic appearance. They spoke not a word but looked directly at the Voltron Force, who stood across from them.
“Who are you five stooges supposed to be?” asked Hunk, obviously not impressed by their classy looks nor astonishing entrance but chilled by their evil gaze.
“First of all,” spoke the one in red, “we are NOT stooges.”
“Secondly,” began the one in yellow, “we are FAR above your level.”
"We're faster than you," said the warrior in pink.
"Smarter than you..." replied the warrior in blue.
"Stronger than you..." told the black-clad warrior.
"But we're evil!" exclaimed the red warrior as he and his fellows began to laugh.
Lance, not intimidated with the five warriors, reiterated Hunk’s question.
“We, little man, are the Psycho Rangers, and we mean business,” said the blue warrior.
“All you five seem to be are Drules with classy armor. I bet you couldn’t hurt a Space Mouse if you tried,” said Keith.
“Oh really?” said Psycho Red tauntingly. “Psychos, let show them what we can do.”
What followed Psycho Red’s statement could only in the very simplest of terms be described as an uneven fight. Fighting dirty, the Psychos apprehended their opponents and performed their signature brain scans. With the information they gathered, they proceeded to dominate the Voltron Force. Their sheer physical prowess coupled with the knowledge of their opponents fighting abilities and moves dominated that of the Voltron Force. The superior fighting skills of the Voltron Force had met its match as they were virtually fighting themselves and more.
The Voltron Force had assembled themselves by the vehicle they had came to the city in. The Psychos had momentarily looked away, not fearing that the Voltron Force could actually do anything harmful to them. The five humans quickly jumped into their vehicle and headed towards the Castle of Lions. Although the Psychos saw the Voltron Force escape, they were not worried. “They’ll simply return and be defeated again!” boasted Psycho Red to his fellow Psychos.

Ecliptor and Darkonda watched the fight between the Psycho Rangers and the Voltron Force. Darkonda watched with delight for the fight was vividly one-sided, and the Psychos had barely used half of their strength! _ This is my type of fight! One where evil is clearly the victor! _ thought Darkonda as he began to laugh when he saw Hunk punched in the stomach. However, Ecliptor really didn’t care for the fight, for it was too one-sided for him. _ Quantrons deserve to face humans like them. It’s a complete waste of time and serves as no challenge to someone of the Psychos’ caliber. _ Ecliptor continued to watch the battle though.
Keith’s drive to the Castle of Lions was one of sheer desperation to get as far away from the Psychos as possible. Once they were at their destination, some driving force directed them to the command post within the castle. Inside the room was Koran and he was looking at one of the viewing screens, obviously disturbed.
“Where have you five been?” screeched Koran as he noticed the five additions to the room.
“We ran into trouble,” said Pidge as he sat at a console, trying to search the castle’s computer database for anything on ‘Psycho Rangers.’
“What kind of trouble?” Koran was obviously not happy about this news, but before anyone could answer him, the main computer alerted the group of an incoming message.
As the message was displayed on the viewing screen, Koran caught his first glimpse of the ‘trouble’ Pidge was referring to. The five evil warriors were standing side-by-side with mountains in the background.
“Hey Voltron Force,” said Psycho Pink dejectedly, “you left without saying good-bye.”
“And besides, we wanted to have some more fun,” replied Psycho Black.
Darkonda had tapped into the message link between the Psychos and the Castle of Lions and had come up with a plan. Ecliptor, realizing that Darkonda’s plan may actually be good, went along and fired the Satellasers, causing the Psycho Rangers to grow in size and into their monster forms.
“Well, well, well. Look at what we have here. A city to destroy with no one to stop us.” Psycho Red and his compadres emitted energy blasts, destroying several city buildings. The princess gasped as she watched the destruction take place. “Unless you come to stop us, the rest of Arus is next!”
Koran and the Voltron Force stood blankly, horrified at what they had witnessed. It was obvious that the Psycho Rangers truly meant business.
Keith began to come to his senses as reality set in his mind. “We’ve gotta face those ‘psychos’ at one time or another. We can’t sit here and let them frighten us. Let’s show them what Voltron is made of! To the elevator shafts!”
After following Commander Keith’s orders, Pidge reached his Lion first. He hurriedly activated Green Lion’s systems to prepare it for the upcoming battle. The Green Lion was far away in the forests of Arus but possessed great speed to enable it to meet the other Lions.
***
Hunk quickly began to operate his Yellow Lion as he guided it from the desert. During his trek to the battlefield, Hunk activated his Lion’s solar panels, absorbing as much energy as he could store.
***
Allura’s trip to her Blue Lion was the shortest of the group for it was located in the moat surrounding the castle. As she ‘manned’’ her Lion and guided it to the battlefield, she tried to assert herself for this battle. Something was telling her this one was going to be special.
***
Lance was in a hurry to get to his Red Lion. His pride had been degraded during the face-off with the Psycho Rangers. The beating he took from Psycho Black was not pleasant. His integrity had kicked in now, and he wanted to send a message to Zarkon and associates that Lance the Red Lion pilot was not to be beat.

Keith’s Black Lion was the last robot to join the other Lions. From the time of entering his jump-tube to entering his Lion at the castle’s bridge to joining his fellow Voltron Force members, Keith was strategizing. It was obvious that the Psycho Rangers weren’t robeasts; their initial power and size displayed that. The Psychos’ strength was apparently overwhelming, and that posed an extreme challenge. Keith realized that his friends and he were taking a risk in fighting beings they had never faced, but they had did it once and they would love for history to repeat itself.
Once Keith finally arrived to the battlefield, he began to give orders. From what he deduced, almost each Psycho’s power was based on an element much similar to their colors, just as the robot Lions were. They needed to fight a Psycho of a different color and definitely of a different element. They quickly chose which Psycho they would fight and began the battle that would determine their fate.
***
The battle of "The Psychos vs. the Lions" was well strategize and well fought. The Psychos had immediately picked up the Voltron Force's plan to fight 'opposites;' however, the Psycho Rangers could do nothing about it. They were fighting quadruped robots, not something standing on two feet. Coupled with the robot Lions' agility, it was very hard for the Psychos to fight against their Voltron match. Each time they tried to change opponents, the robot Lion would 'jump' away to fight a different Psycho Ranger.
Keith was proud that his fellow Voltron Force members were executing his strategy with precision and accuracy. It was great to see that the good guys were finally getting the upper hand. However, Keith was now faced with a new dilemma. As well as his plan was working, it would not destroy the Psychos. They needed the power and strength of Voltron to destroy the monsters. However, if his team formed Voltron, they would increase the fight disadvantage into the Psycho Rangers' favor, five against one. Keith had shared this information with his teammates and each voiced his and her opinion. The opinion that sparked Keith's final decision was Lance's. "If we don't form Voltron, we're basically allowing the fiends to run away and lick their wounds so they can return. We have to stop the threat now, before it's too late."
The formation of Voltron was a new and interesting experience for the Psycho Rangers to witness. Keith headed the commands as Voltron was formed.
[INCLUDE COMMANDS FOR FORMING VOLTRON]
After Voltron was formed however, the Psycho Rangers surrounded the MegaZord-like robot and began to fight unfairly.
After being savagely hit in the back by Psycho Black’s rock fist, Voltron stumbled forward; nevertheless, it stumbled right into the path of Psycho Blue’s Psycho Axe. The robot fell, as its support team tried their best to get it out of harm’s way. However, that was a difficult feat in itself.
“Pidge, give me a status report.”
“Focal energy levels are falling rapidly. As of now, I’m activating emergency auxiliary power to sustain our already depleting shields and to maintain life support systems.”
“Well, how probable is launching an attack?”
“Are you crazy!” Pidge rarely spoke out in an excited tone and definitely not at Keith. However, in Pidge’s mind, his commander’s question was…Â…Â…stupid. “I mean no disrespect sir, but suggesting an attack on any of the Psycho Rangers now is pure foolishness.”
“Then we need to escape.”
“That won’t be so easy, Princess…” began Pidge, but he abruptly stopped talking when Psychos Yellow and Pink grabbed Voltron by its arms. The Voltron Force worked hard to try to free Voltron from the female Psychos grasp but the two were too strong.
The male Psycho Rangers stood before Voltron with Psycho Red in center. Each began to mock the Galactic Defender using their own special ‘Psycho’ touch. All comments ceased once Psycho Red summoned a conglomeration of fire in his right palm and uttered the next four words:
“Prepare to be destroyed.”
Psycho Red began to wind his arm but never did bring it forward. Before he could do so, several laser blasts hit his arm, causing him to clinch in pain. The fire monster yelled in anger, “Who did that?” His comrades only provided bewildered looks as all gazes were fixed towards the sky.
As if by will, the clouds covering the battlefield parted to reveal the Astro MegaZord armed with blaster and shield heading towards the surface of Arus.
“I did it!” exclaimed Red Space Ranger from the cockpit of the Astro MegaZord. “Gotta problem with it?”
Psycho Red grew a deep red with anger at his foe’s comment. To be shown up by a Ranger was tough, but for your greatest enemy to do so was humiliating. “Psycho Black, pin down the Astro MegaZord for me.”
“Gladly,” said the rock monster as he began his pace towards the target.
However, unbeknownst to the Psycho Rangers, Space Red was maintaining communication with his fellow teammates. His next three words would soon seal the fate of one of the Psycho Rangers:
“Do it now.”
As happened before when the Astro MegaZord was revealed, the clouds parted to allow the entrance of the Mega V3 Missile. To the Voltron Force, this new object was merely a very large version of a missile; nonetheless, to the Psycho Rangers, the missile symbolized destruction. Psycho Black had no time to protect himself. Apparently, the missile was locked on him, and only seconds after he acknowledged such was he destroyed.
Following Psycho Black’s destruction, the Mega Voyager drifted to the surface of Arus, ready to take part in the battle. The Rangers had felt the secret missile attack was a stroke of genius but knew the odds of victory remained in the Psycho Rangers’ favor. However, an unexpected occurrence took place that not only shifted the odds of victory but evened them.
Psycho Blue left the battlefield, leaving his fellow Psychos behind so he could “preserve the quality of his existence.” Psychos Red, Yellow, and Pink didn’t bother themselves with Psycho Blue’s departure; they began to embrace themselves with their current task: the destruction of Voltron and the Power Rangers.
Since the arrival of the first large machine, the Voltron Force sat in their seats shocked. The events that were transpiring were nearly too much for the group to handle. Yet, Keith’s training quickly kicked in. Although the new arrivals to the battlefield were unknown factors, common intuition was spread amongst the group that the new arrivals had to be friends. It was then that Voltron sprang into action, taking on Psycho Pink. The Astro MegaZord began to battle Psycho Red while the Mega Voyager took on Psycho Yellow.
***
The age-old imperative phrase “Learn from your mistakes” applies to every walk of life despite the differences. However in the particular battle involving Voltron and Psycho Pink, such was not in effect. To many, a lone Psycho is as dangerous as the bunch. Psycho Pink was aware of this and tried to emphasize it upon the operators of Voltron. Yet in Psycho Pink’s mind, she felt the need to use rage as a factor in her fight. Any respectable Power Ranger would know that letting anger direct one’s fight would lead to one’s defeat. Unfortunately, Psycho Pink wasn’t very respectable.
Every few times Psycho Pink would strike Voltron, a lion’s head would detach from the robot. Unknowingly to Psycho Pink, each head fell in nearly the same vicinity. After the fourth lion’s head had fallen, Psycho Pink began to gloat over how Voltron was falling apart. She even picked up a lion’s head to use it as a taunting device; yet, the Voltron Force had other things in mind. After ensuring Voltron was a good distance away from Psycho Pink, Keith activated each lion’s head explosive, causing the Voltron Force’s pink enemy to scream in pain. Not allowing time for Psycho Pink to ‘lick her wounds,’ the Blazing Sword was quickly summoned. The Pink Psycho Ranger faced complete annihilation by the hand of good once and for all.

Psycho Yellow approached her fight against the Mega Voyager with ease. She knew the MegaZord inside and out, literally, and was prepared for what it could do. The only unpredictability was the Rangers, her primary opponent. Psycho Yellow began the assault, using great force behind her blows. She held back using any of her powers until the Mega Voyager began to withstand her attack. Psycho Yellow went through the motions of a right punch to the MegaZord’s chest but released and immense energy blast to the Mega Voyager’s chest instead.
The Mega Voyager fell on its back and stayed in that position. From what Psycho Yellow could discern, the MegaZord was kaput. She walked towards it carefully, but after finally reaching the machine’s feet, she was sure that the MegaZord wouldn’t be moving for a while. Sadly for Psycho Yellow, she had fell for the Rangers’ trap. With sudden agility, the Mega Voyager positioned itself upright while firing its chest lasers at Psycho Yellow. The yellow vixen screamed in pain and couldn’t shake the feeling that something bad would occur soon. The voice of Space Black yelling “Fire!” was the next thing the Yellow Psycho Ranger heard as the Mega V3 missile ripped through her monstrous body.
“No!” screamed Psycho Yellow as she tried to summon all of her evil will to reject the laws of science that determined her destruction. She glowed a bright yellow blinding anyone viewing the battle, which was followed by an explosion as the unnatural light dissipated. Presumably, Psycho Yellow was destroyed for good.

Psycho Red’s chimerical hatred for the Red Space Ranger had blossomed into its greatest fervor as the two fought on Arus’s surface. The battle between the two foes remained even, although Space Red was putting all he had into ensuring that the Astro MegaZord stayed in the fight. He soon received relief as two corresponding explosions alerted him to the fact that Psychos Pink and Yellow were destroyed. This fact was further supported when both Voltron and the Mega Voyager stood at the Astro MegaZord’s side.
“It doesn’t matter if I have to fight one MegaZord or three; I’ll destroy you all!”
Psycho Red charged the MegaZords. The Mega Voyager was the first to make contact with the fire monster. It tried to block the monster from the other Zords but only managed to be knocked down. Quickly, Voltron activated his Cross Beam, causing a shower of lasers form its chest to hit Psycho Red. The being screamed in pain but was determined to press forward. In accordance with the phrase “One good turn deserves another,” Psycho Red used his fireballs to cripple Voltron momentarily while he made his way to the Astro MegaZord.

There is no one person, thing, nor being in the known universe that is liked by everyone else. Some beings just have no regards for others while many beings hold a dislike towards others. Sometimes this ‘dislike’ can grow into hate. Hate is a universally evil trait yet so many beings express it that it becomes a natural feeling. For a being like the Red Psycho Ranger, hating the Red Space Ranger was a passion. Yet at the very moment, Psycho Red’s hatred of Space Red had boiled into a fervor as he was ready to decapitate the Power Ranger, limb by limb.
Psycho Red broke into a sprint to tackle the Astro MegaZord. The MegaZord’s shield was summoned as it pivoted to the right, broad-siding the psychotic monster. As he stood up, Psycho Red summoned the giant-sized version of his Psycho Sword. Yet instead of attacking the Astro MegaZord, he charged at the defenseless Mega Voyager. Apparently, he was trying to hold the MegaZord hostage.
“If you desire the safety of your friends, you’ll surrender now.”
“No, don’t do it Andros!” yelled Space Yellow.
Space Black added, “Don’t worry about us! Just get him!”
“Focus on what’s important,” stated Space Blue.
And focus was what he did. Space Red could see Voltron sneaking up on Psycho Red. Space Red stalled as best as he could, allowing Voltron to gain a perfect position to strike.
Instead of yelling, Keith calmly said, “Form Blazing Sword” summoning Voltron’s weapon of choice. The attack caused Psycho Red to release the Mega Voyager. Space Red summoned forth the Astro MegaZord Saber, fully energized.
“It’s time to get rid of you for good!” Psycho Red screamed in pain as the energy from the Astro MegaZord Saber ripped through his body. The energy once contained within Psycho Red bean to dissipate into the atmosphere in electric bursts. Psycho Red desperately tried to stay alive, but the energy from the Astro MegaZord Saber was too strong. The blast illuminated the sky with a deep red light.
Cheers of victory filled the air from both teams.

King Zarkon, Prince Lotor, and Astronema sat in their respective thrones in a triangle-shaped arrangement. Astronema had two Quantron guards at her side, substituting in the absence of Ecliptor and Darkonda. The trio had finished watching the 3-D view of the Psychos’ battle on Arus. By the battles end, Prince Lotor’s composure had revealed his disappointment. Prince Lotor was about to voice his opinion when his father uttered something that rendered Lotor momentarily speechless:
“Well, I think that was productive. ”
Silence passed for a few seconds before Prince Lotor screeched, “Productive! Are you mad, Father?”
King Zarkon chuckled. “No son. If you were paying close attention to the battle, you’d have seen that we still came out of it winners.”
Astronema envisioned the gears of Zarkon’s evil mind at work. She soon spoke up, “What do you have in mind?”
Before King Zarkon could respond, a Drule attendant entered the room, interrupting the conversation. The attendant delivered a message to his king and left. Once the message was delivered, King Zarkon began to smile wickedly.
“My dear Astronema, what I’d like to make is improvements. But let’s not focus on what I’m thinking of.”
“Why not? It ’s not like we have anything better to do now,” replied Prince Lotor.
“Oh but there is. We ’re taking a trip. ”
“To where?” asked Astronema.
“To the city.”
