A/N: I wanted to try a Psycho Ranger Vs. S.P.D Ranger fic. I know it will either do well or just plain suck. But I'm going to take a stab at it.

Year Of The Psycho
Chapter 1
War of The Rangers Part 1

Elizabeth “Z” Delgado, the fourth member of the S.P.D Ranger squad, rolled under her half-buried sheets while she slept. The Academy was pretty much silent for the most part as everyone rested up for the next day. The sound of variety of students that have taken the night shift passed Z and Syd’s room performing last minute chores and other assorted things before the sun rose from behind the hills. A large crash, the kind that sends shrills down your bone, stirred Z from her deep sleep. Lifting her head up slowly, her squinted eyes adjusted in the dark and a soft moan came from her mouth. She craned her head to see Syd buried under sheets and resting peacefully.

“Syd.” Z called out softly. No response came from Syd, Delgado rolled her eyes and pushed herself up and off the bed. Placing her feet on the ground, she stood all the way up and slowly, very slowly, stumbled over to Syd’s bed. “Syd!” Her voice deepened but still just above a whisper. She leaned over and shook her a bit, “What is going on out there?”

Syd, her long blonde hair tangling and binding against each other all up and down her face, rolled onto her stomach and lifted her head, “What do you want?” She kept her aggravation at a reasonable level.

Z pointed to the door in desperation to quickly explain why she interrupted the princess. Syd sat up and listened as the unusual sound of havoc echoed a few more times right outside their door before turning back to silence. Sighing deeply, Syd threw her sheets off and placed her feet on the ground. Slipping her feet into the soft furry slippers, she walked over to the door and hit a button on the side panel. With a whirling sound, the cold-metal solid door slide open and the two ladies stepped outside. They glanced at each end of the halls and watched a cart full of recycle junk turn and make its way around the corner.

“Is something wrong?” The strong and serious yet familiar tone rang behind them. They spun around and noticed Sky giving them the ususal strange look. He was in his full fledge S.P.D Outfit, his hands wrapped behind his back as he stood there like a stiff wall.

“Nothing.” Syd sighed deeply, giving an annoyed look over at her roommate, “We heard a loud crash and thought something was happening. Then I realized it was Recycling Bin. Z here got all worked up.”

Z rolled her eyes, resisting the urge to snap back in defense. She just shrugged, “It just seamed a lot louder then ususal. So I was curious.” She paused for a second, lifting her index finger and giving a strange look, “Wait a minute.. Isn’t Recycling Night on Thursdays? It’s a Tuesday.”

Sky, grinning mischiefly for a few seconds, simply nodded, “You’re correct. Cruger himself appointed me to handle and transfer some old junk to Kat’s lab.”

“Cool!” Syd exclaimed sarcastically, “Now maybe I can get some damn sleep!” Sky stepped forward and patted her on the head. Taking a step back, he returned his hands behind him. Syd scoffed, turning her heals, she faced her room, “I’m going back to bed. I will not be treated like a little kid!” Her voice trailed off at the end as she left with haste.

Sky turned away, his hands held together tightly by his fingers, “You should go too. Sorry if I woke you.” His voice was extremely casual.

“Wait.” Her feet snapped forward, Z darted to catch up with Sky, “Can I come and check out what you are doing? Seeing how I’m awake and all.”

Blinking for a few seconds, Sky looked over at her and shrugged lightly, “If you get dressed.” He muffled and turned to catch up with the Bin.

----------------------

Schuyler Tate, watching the young cadets empty out the bin of robotic parts onto Kat’s table, slowly made his way over to a clipboard and flipped through a few pieces of paper. The door automatically opened and Z walked in dressed in her Yellow S.P.D Uniform. She shifted her eyes left and right before proceeding forward over to the parts. Extending her hands, she wiggled her fingers around the pile, pulling out a beat up looking robot head. The yellow coloring was faded, but the details were still in tack. The grim, evil looking eyes starred back her, “What are these? They look really old.”

Sky glanced up once and returned to the clipboard, “Some robots from the planet Mirinoi.” He muttered under his breath, “Kat had requested the parts to be shipped here after hearing a group of people stumbling upon them in an abandoned industrial lot.”

“Oh.” Z knew that Sky was just as clueless as he was. She dumped the head back in the pile, “It’s just junk. I don’t think they even work.”

“I didn’t think they would still work.” Ms Manx voice echoed. They turned to see her step into the room. She was wearing her white lab coat, making her way over to the junk, “I’m interested in these because I would like to find out what kind of energy was used to power these things up.”

Sky, extending his hand to give the clipboard to Kat, looked over at Z and back at her, “I checked off everything that had arrived.”

“That will do.” Kat smiled brightly at him, “You may go now.” Sky nodded in response and made his way out of the room. Kat hugged the clipboard against her chest and turned her attention back at Z, “And you should go too. It’s 1 in the morning.”

“All right.” Z started towards the door. Kat looked away and read down the list. Z stopped at the door and glanced at the Yellow Masked head, the black eyes pierced back at her. She left back towards her room.

----------------------

The sun pierced through the window as the sound of shuffling woke Z up. She rolled over on her bed and looked over at the clock. Noticing that she had slept 3 hours more then she had tended too; she shot from her bed and onto her feet. Hair covering parts of her eyes, she quickly shot a look over to Syd who was frantically searching for something, “Why didn’t you wake me up!” Z groaned.

Syd shrugged. Ignoring Z’s quick whining, she scattered pillows onto the ground, “Have you seen my pink nail polish?” Her eyes shifted over to Z. Sky’s voice echoed in rage and shocked from down the hallway, catching the two girls attention. Syd sighed in relief a few seconds after the yelling faded away, “Now I remember where I left it.”

“What did you do?” Z’s brows raised in curiosity. A part of her wanted to know. The other part thought it was best just to leave the subject alone.

“Sky needed a quick make over.” Syd flashed a smiled and shuffled out of the room. Z just shook her head before redressing herself for the day.

----------------------

Jack, running his hands through his dread lock hair, turned his attention to Sky’s room. Slowly making his way over; he knocked gently against the door. A few seconds passed and he hit the button. The second in command, Sky, was furiously rubbing his hot pink fingernails under some warm water. He stepped out of the bathroom and noticed Jack standing there, “What?” He gave him a look.

“Are you...” Jack’s eyes zoomed in on the nails, “Are you wearing nail polish?” Laughter began to tickle his throat.

Syd stepped right next to Jack and smiled brightly at him, “Morning Jack!” She turned to Sky, “Morning Sky! Did you enjoy the surprise?”

“This isn’t funny.” He raised his hand, backhand facing the two, waving his fingers a bit, “I can’t get this stuff off.”

Jack began to snicker. His laughter was beginning to get harder and harder to contain, “I’m sorry Sky. I can no longer take you serious when you’re wearing hot pink nail polish.”

Sky shot him a look. Doggie Cruger appeared at the door way, “Is something the matter?”

The Blue Ranger quickly folded his hands behind him and stiffened his back, “Not at all sir. The emergency has been taken care of. ..Sir.”

“Good. I expect to see all of you in the briefing room in one hour.” He turned and walked off. Sky exhaled quickly, his shoulders slumping a bit. Irritation took over as he barked at Syd to get the nail polish remover.

----------------------

Z had decided to make her way back to Kat’s lab. She went around the corner and entered the room. Kat was no where in sight but Boom and Bridge had been working hard in piecing together some of the robots. Her head tilted a bit, focusing on the almost finished model of one of the robots, amazed at how it looked, “Hey guys..” Her voice was just enough to catch their attention.

Bridge, suited up in his green S.P.D outfit and his signature black gloves, stood up and waved, “Hey Z.” He exclaimed cheerfully, reaching over to some toast that was placed on the counter beside him, “Want some Toast? It’s But-”

“Ah!” Z interrupted him, “I said enough with the butter.” She pointed her finger right at his chest.

He just gave her a disappointing look, stuffing the toast in his mouth, “It’s buttery.” His voice muffled under all the food.

“Have you checked this out yet?” Boom changed the subject, pointing at the well put together robot in front of him. It was similar to the yellow one except for one difference. It was black, “I believe they call these the Psycho Rangers.” His voice deepened on the last two words.

“Psycho Rangers?” Z arched her brows. The name was faintly familiar, “Sounds dangerous.”

“Not anymore. These things are so old. I highly doubt there’s enough juice to power these suckers up.” He smiled at her.

“So why are you putting them together?”

“Kat asked us to piece them together so she can study the structure and everything. It’s kind of hard. We worked on this one all morning.” Boom tapped the shoulder of the robot and shrugged.

“Did you notice that all these robots match ranger colors except mine? They have no green! Were going to go paint this.” Bridge ran his fingers all around the rims to decide what kind of shade of green he wanted.

Boom shook his head, his eyes rolled in a bit of annoyance, “Kat asked us to put them together. Were not going to paint them.”

Bridge just looked over Z, “Were going to paint them.” He reassured her with determination.

“No.” Boom howled, “Were under orders to put them together.”

“I’m going to need more food.” He turned his head, completely ignoring Boom, “Anyone in the mood for waffles?”

----------------------

Emperor Gruumm, the foul villain that resides in outer space, stood up from his throne. He clenched his staff tightly as he walked a few steps. Broodwing appeared from the shadows, “The Rangers have foiled every plan you have thrown at them, Broodwing. I’m beginning to have doubts on the quality of work you do.”

“We are just having a few minor setbacks.” Broodwing reassured him.

“I do not pay you for setbacks. I pay you to help me take over this world and to destroy Doggie Cruger.” He growled evilly. Holding tightly to his staff, he turned at his heal to see Mora skipping in.

“I’m bored!” Her shrieking voice rang in his ears. Cindy Sunshine was dangling from her hand as she pouted to the Emperor of evil, “I want a new toy! Give me a new toy!”

“Be quiet.” Gruumm snapped at her, “I don’t care what you want!”

“Well I do!” She stuck her tongue out at him, “This place is so boring. You’re a boring person. You do boring things.”

Gruumm turned away and faced Broodwing, curious of what his next steps in destroying the Power Rangers, “What are you still doing here? Take care of those damn rangers!” He roared, “Leave my sight!”

“Gruumm! Entertain me!” Mora’s voice echoed in the background.

----------------------

Broodwing hung from one of the buildings a few hours later. He watched patiently as Bridge was driving the Patrol Jeep down the street. The once Black Psycho Ranger, now coated in a fresh green trim, was tucked away in the back. Broodwing, his eyes targeting the robotic figure, grew curious of what the ranger was doing, “Let us see what we have here.” He smirked a bit. He reached into his arsenal and pulled out one of Blueheads. Throwing it, the ball spiraled and landed right in front of the Jeep.

Bridge, gasping in surprise, hit the break and watched as the ball transform into the well-known robotic figure. The Bluehead laughed as his weapon appeared, lifting his arm up and aiming it right at Bridge. A fire was shot, the Green S.P.D Soldier rolled right out of the way as an explosion ignited right around him, “Why must you make everything difficult.” He muttered as he stood up.

“My orders are to bring that item you are transporting in. And I don’t plan on leaving in till I do.”

“Neither am I am I!” Bridge tried to sound tough, “Mainly because..I can’t leave..or I’ll.. Get destroyed. And that will suck!” He pulled out his Morpher and began to motion his hand, “S.P.D Emerg-”

Bluehead, lifting his arms to aim, wasted no time and fired before Bridge could complete his sequence. The blast hit inches away from Bridge, but caused enough force to knock him off his feet. The morpher went flying against the ground and right under the jeep. He turned on his stomach and tried to quickly crawl towards it. Bluehead pulled out a small ball and threw it, causing it to break and release the annoying Krybots. Bridge jumped to his feet, backing away as they blocked his path. He got into a fighting position, “Brilliant..” He muttered. He charged forward and dived right into the group of Krybots and pushed his way through. Flipping backwards, he lunged forward with a kick, spinning himself in the air and landing on his other foot. He knocked back a Krybot and ducked to dodge a few more. The sound of the Krybots clattering echoed in utter annoyance as he continued to battle. Distracted by the minions, Bluehead took the chance to make his way over to the jeep and uncover the hidden objective.

“Hey!” Bridge finally took notice, blocking a Krybot attack, “Off limits!” He side flipped towards the Jeep and knocked the Bluehead back. Raising his fist, he got into his signature stance, “No Robot for you!”

“If you want to do it the hard way. I will be more then happy too.” He fired a blast straight towards him. Bridge hit the ground as the blast soared just above the jeep and towards some stacked crates. Bridge flipped onto his stomach and crawled under to grab his morpher. He felt tough metal hands grabbing his legs, pulling him out quickly. Bridge kicked the Krybot off of him and got back to his feet.

“S.P.D Emergency!” He shouted quickly, “S.P.D 3! Green!” He posed. Dressed in his suite, he continued to battle the Krybots. With more power and speed, he knocked each one down swiftly. The Bluehead went towards the jeep once more and grabbed the Psycho Robot. He turned and fire a few blasts to hold Bridge back before vanishing. The smoke rose blurring his vision a bit. As it began to fade away, he was left standing all by himself. Punching his palm, he groaned, “I lost them..”

----------------------

“You-You lost it!?” Boom flailed his arms from the shocking news, “Kat is expecting to have them all done!”

Bridge, leaning back on the counter of Kat’s room a few feet away from Jack and Z who were remaining silent, sighed deeply and glanced over at the other robots that have been pieced back together to the best of their ability. Some of the parts where missing and a mask or two were cracked from one end to the other. But they were all lined up. Blue. Red. Pink and Yellow.

Z shifted her eyes between the two, “What would Gruumm want with an old robot?” She spoke up.

Bridge scratched his head, his soft hair ran in between each of his fingers, looked over to Z as she asked the question, “Maybe he’s into antiques?”

The door slide open and Ms Manx had entered. Boom was about to open his mouth when he had noticed Sky entering a few seconds after. “Don’t bother, Boom. I already informed her.” He moved his hands to the back of him and proceeded forward towards the robots.

“Kat. I’m sorry.” Boom watched as she passed him, “I didn’t know.”

“Under direct orders of Anubis Cruger. These machines are not to be touched or moved.” Kat geared her commented at Bridge

“Not even for a paint job.” Sky added rudely.

“Oh come on.” Z protested, “It was a mistake.”

“A mistake that might cost us in the future.” Sky crossed his arms.

“We’ll get the robot back.” Jack, stepping in the middle of the room, glanced straight towards Sky, “Let’s not point fingers.”

----------------------

Mora was humming a little tune. Exploring the ship, she noticed Broodwing having a conversation with Emperor Gruumm. Remaining silent, she entered and listened to the conversation. Broodwing pointed to the robot that was laying against the wall, “Here is our plan in defeating the Power Rangers.”

Gruumm looked over at it and scowled, “You are going to destroy them with a piece of junk?”

“This is not just any piece of junk. These are the remains of the Psycho Rangers. Designed and Built for the sole purpose of destroying all that is Good. Better then anything you have in your army.”

“I will be the judge of that.” He shot back. He moved past Broodwing and towards the robot, “Let’s bring this thing to life.” He aimed his staff straight towards it and fired a shot of energy. A large wave of energy began to run all up and down the Psycho Ranger’s body. Seconds after the blast, it began to twitch slowly. Gruumm fired a second shot and the Psycho Ranger sprang to life. It’s head began to move and the robot slowly began to rise to it’s feet.

“Where am I?” He began to scowl evilly. He glanced around the room and turned to Emperor Gruumm before looking at his new coated paint, “I’m Green? What have you done to me?”

“I brought you back to life.” Gruumm aimed his staff at his head, “For one purpose only. To get rid of the goddamn S.P.D Rangers.”

“I don’t take orders from anyone.” He snapped back. Gruumm slammed his staff into Psycho Green’s body and pushed him against the wall.

“I don’t think you heard me right.” He snapped angrily, “Destroy the rangers.” He eased off of him.

“Psycho Green.” Broodwing stepped forward, “Has a better ring to it then Black. Don’t you think?”

“What do I have to do?” He ignored his comment.

“There are four more of you at the S.P.D Headquarters. I need you to acquire them so we can bring them back.” Broodwing explained.

Gruumm, holding tightly on his staff, turned to Broodwing, “I will leave you to whatever business you need to do. Get the rest of the junk and make them stronger then before. Then we will talk about cost.” Broodwing nodded as Gruumm turned to see Mora still standing there. Not saying a word, Gruumm brushed past her and exit.

“Cool.” Mora finally spoke up, “He doesn’t look so scary.” She flashed a look at it, “I think it needs a make over.”

“So Power Rangers are in this time period also?” Psycho Green hissed. He raised his right arm and tighten his fist, “We will finally be able to destroy the rangers. Victory will be sweet. What is our plan?” He looked over at Broodwing.

----------------------

Z was in the main chambers of the S.P.D Academy. She was helping Doggie Cruger find any suspicious activities. Everyone was on full alert after the recent attack Bridge had just experienced. Syd and Sky entered the chamber and went straight towards their commander and chief. Doggie Cruger turned and nodded to the two, “What are your reports?” He asked.

“We searched the industrial area where Bridge was attacked. There was nothing there.” Sky replied, “So whatever Gruumm is up too. He’s not doing it here on Earth.”

“We know what his plans are.” Syd exclaimed, giving Sky a look, “They stole something from us. There going to try to get it to work.”

“We don’t know that.” Sky kept in calm in the response, “It’s standard procedure to make sure we check every other possibilities.”

“Syd has a point.” Doggie Cruger added in. Syd flashed a smile at the irritated Sky before returning her attention back to the chief, “There is no use in wasting our time scouting areas. We’ll just have to-”

“We found it!” Z shouted. Everyone turned to glance at the screen. Z zoomed in on an old alleyway. Psycho Green was laying there motionless, “I’ll send Jack and Bridge to go and pick it up.”

“All right!” Syd smiled, “I guess they realized it’s junk also.”

“Yeah..” Sky trailed off. His suspicion began to kick in.

----------------------

Minutes later the sound of the jeep zipped down the road, the rough wheels spun in motion towards the destination; Bridge and Jack had arrived at the coordinates that Z had gave them. Parked right at the entrance of the alleyway, Bridge and Jack climbed out and looked around. Bridge, sighing a bit and keeping his guard up, proceeded forward with Jack right behind him.

“I don’t think anyone is here.” Jack reassured his friend ahead of him. Bridge just nodded. The two of them had made it to where Psycho Green was laying and bent down to inspect the machine, “Guess Gruumm had no interest in it either.”

Bridge reached out to grab it. “Come on. Let’s take it back.”

Bridge and Jack had returned back to the academy. They propped the robot up along side the others in Kat’s lab. Ms Manx stood behind the counter, her smiled was well noticed after seeing the robot returned safely, she nodded to Jack and Bridge, “Excellent work! I’m glad you manage to get it back.”

“It was easy.” Jack took a step back and looked at it, “Too easy, actually.”

The door slide open and Syd appeared. She hung on the frame and leaned forward, “Jack. Bridge. Cruger wants a word with us.” She turned away.

Bridge smiled, “We should get going, Ma’am. I mean Ms Manx. I mean Kat.” He corrected himself. Jack shook his head and grabbed Bridge, dragging him outside. Kat turned to her computer and began her work once more. Psycho Green turned his head to look at her. A sinister laugh echoed under his breath. Kat glanced behind her and noticed Psycho Green back in it’s original position. She then turned her head back to the computer.

Holy cow! I've never read any of your work to this day...but this left a definite good impression!

That is excellent writing. I can never personally write a good fight scene, but the one you did with Bridge and Krybots was just...excellent!

Also, you got into character so well. The way you wrote the dialogue for Bridge, Syd, Jack, Sky, and Z was excellent. The reason I don't mention Doggy and Boom is because I haven't seen them in a scene yet since I haven't seen SPD. I'm judging this off of Promos and trailers.

This is some of the best writing I've read on RB.

I can't wait for the rest of this story.

DUUUDE!!! TOTALLY FRICKIN AWESOME!!! I had imagined the scenario and said it would make a good fanfic ... but damn! Its nice to be able to jump into character like that ... I'm totally redoing the MMPR saga with my Power Rangers Forever: Fire and Ice novel. Lemme know what you think of it man, and I can't wait for more of this fanfic!!

I don't normally read fanfics but this shit has me hooked. The characters are right on, the fight scenes are quite easily visualized, and the plot is intriguing. Eagerly anticipating more...

Being in the UK, I haven't seen SPD, but I like this fic a lot all the same. I liked Bridge's insistance on repainting Psycho Black. One problem with this is that the Psychos weren't robots- they were monsters with ranger powers.

I like the fic's start. Characterization's right, good plot line... Well, they had roboticized voices, and most of Astronema's late monsters WERE part robot....

I have to agree with everyone here. This is really good. I'd nominate it for FFOTM but the deeds already done. I haven't seen all of (what's aired of) SPD yet, but from what I've seen, the characterization was done perfectly. This read just like an actual episode of SPD. The fights were a lot simpler though, which is understanble and better since it'd be hard to novelize all of the wire-fu that takes place in the show.

The only part that I didn't really like was the buttery toast part. It just seemed like a of forced attempt at playing off the joke from the show, like Bridge just pulled the toast, literally out of nowhere (it just happened to be on the counter). I don't watch or read PR for the comedy anyway, and just ignore it unless it's actually funny. I also never saw the Psycho saga from the series, but the story felt like it could very well occur in continuity; like it avoided any annoying plot holes that us PR fans would jump on like sharks on a cramping swimmer.

The ending was so cool, too, with the now Psycho Green turning to look at Kat, then turning away before she could see this. That's good shit right there. Looking forward to more.

Chapter 2
War Of The Rangers Part 2

The brilliant technical assistant, Kat, had wasted no time in scanning each one of the Psycho Rangers and running a thorough diagnostic. An hour had past into her research and she just finished an overview with Psycho Yellow with one of her many variety equipments. Jotting down a note or two; she stood up and slowly walked over to the Pink Psycho Ranger. Jack and Bridge, dressed in their full fledge Red and Green S.P.D Uniform, entered the room and spotted her.

“Hey.” Jack informed her of his present, “Find anything interesting?”

Kat turned her body and faced them, her clipboard was pushed up against her chest, “Matter of fact I did.” She responded eagerly, “I just completed my first diagnostic with one of the machines and to be honest, I don’t think these are exactly Robots.”

“That’s impossible. There were wires everywhere. It took us forever to repair and connect them all.” Bridge stated, his brows arch in a tad of confusion.

Kat paused for a second, running her finger up and down the notes she had written, making her way over to the counter and placing the clipboard down. “I understand what you are getting at.” She responded lightly, “But I wasn’t able to find any A.I Program within one of the machines.” Her eyes focused back on the boys, “My only guess was that they were partially machines. I mean the structure of the body consist of the basic wiring and connection to make a robot but that’s just the outer mainframe.”

Jack, crossing his arms and giving a weary look, began to wonder what these Psycho Rangers really were, “So what are you planning on doing next?”

“I’m going to take one of these apart. See if I can further investigate my theory.” She beamed a look over at Bridge, “Will you give me a hand?”

“Sure!” Bridge exclaimed in excitement, “How quickly do you want to dismantle these things? I’m sure I can find an axe if you want to do it fast!”

Kat rolled her eyes and simply smiled. She handed Bridge a few tools that she preferred him to use instead of an axe. He grabbed them and went right to work.

--------------------

Sky, Z and Syd were relaxing in the lounge, a room within the academy that all members of S.P.D could go and kick back after a rough day, waiting for any strange activities or ranger duties to come up. Sitting back on the couch, Sky was reading through the S.P.D handbook. Next to him sat Syd and Z who were having their normal girl conversation that Sky would have no part of.

“And I was running.” Syd had a look of distraught on her face, “But the Rabbit was getting closer. It was a scary dream.” Her voice trailed off as if she was getting lost in the horror.

Z blinked a few seconds. She was trying to digest the information that Syd had eagerly forced upon her. The dark brunette, her head leaning on her right hand with her elbow supporting her up, took a deep breath and look around, “Do you ever have any normal dreams, Syd?” She glanced at her.

“Of course. This dream I had-”

Sky, lowering the handbook away from his face, looked over to Syd, “Enough with the dreams!” He scowled angrily.

Syd turned her body and adjusted herself in a more comfortable position while facing him. “You know Sky. You don’t have to ruin everything.”

“You been talking about your dreams all morning.” His eyes focused on her. “Enough.” He emphasizes, “For the sake of humanity.”

Z got up from the couch and waved at them before exiting. She knew the conversation was going to lead to something. Syd took one last glance at her and then turned her attention back at Sky, “Why are you so serious all the time?” She pouted a bit, “It doesn’t hurt to lighten up.”

Getting a bit irritated, Sky raised the handbook and resumed reading. Syd didn’t budge, her eyes locked on his face, waiting patiently for some kind of response. Syd raised her hands and began to make strange faces at him. She stuck her tongue out and sucked her cheeks in, making horns with her hand. Sky, from the corner of his eye, noticed the face but kept on reading. Syd changed expression giving a more obscure look.

“Stop.” He snapped in frustration. He glanced over at her and she changed to another bizarre face expression, “I said stop it!” His tone began to get lighter. She made one more and he cracked in a small chuckle, “Please stop!”

“It’s okay to laugh, Sky. I won’t tell anyone.” She smiled slyly.

His smile quickly faded away as he restrained himself from laughing any further. “It’s not funny.” She threw one last face and he quickly hide behind the handbook to prevent himself from laughing.

The door shot open and Doggie Kruger walked in. The large canine, his hands behind his back, glanced over at them, “Rangers.”

Sky, bolting up quickly and tossing the book on the table in front of him, made his way over. “Sir.” He spoke quickly and seriously. Syd casually stood on her feet and walked over and beside him.

“I have a small assignment for you.” Doggie Cruger began to explain, “Jack will be joining you. Meet me in the briefing room in 15 minutes.”

“Yes, Sir.” Sky performed the S.P.D Hand motion. Doggie Cruger, simply nodding, turn at his heals and exit out. Sky eased up a bit and looked over at Syd. Remaining silent, he proceeded towards the door. Syd rolled her eyes, sighing, she quickly followed after him.

--------------------

Z, entering Kat’s lab and witnessing the Psycho Blue laying on one of the tables, casually walked over and checked what Bridge and Ms Manx was up too. The chest frame of Psycho Blue was removed, revealing the interior. “What is going on here?” Z looked down at all the wires and assorted things she wasn’t too familiar with.

“Taking apart the robot.” Bridge responded, “Well not a robot. Something.”

“Bridge. When you built these things. Didn’t you notice that some parts were missing?” She pointed at different parts of the interior of the chest, “Look. There’s no A.I Program. No energy core. Most of the essential parts.”

“I just thought we didn’t have them. Seeing how these things are so old.”

“That’s what I was first thinking but there’s like no connection or wiring to hook up the missing pieces. It’s as if, whoever built these things, purposely did not add them in.” Kat sighed deeply, puzzled and confused, she turned and walked over to Psycho Pink, “Also, my shipping forum states I was expecting 4 different rangers. Care to explain how we have this Pink one?”

“Well..” Bridge trailed off. He was fiddling a bit with his gloves before looking over at her, “Many of the parts we put together for the other robots were a bit similar to the stuff we have around here. So I convinced Boom to help construct a 5th one so that Syd can have a counter part also. There’s many parts missing but I got the basic outer frame.”

Kat didn’t respond. She made her way over to the computer and searched near the floor for something. Kat bent down, her hand scoured the boxes, “I must have left it in the other room.” She muffled to herself. She stood back up, “Bridge. Z. Could you two go and see if you can find my K-Scanner in the briefing room.”

Z and Bridge nodded and exited quickly. Kat, lost in thought for a second, made her way over to the Psycho Rangers that were standing. She walked down the line and stopped in front of the Green Psycho. Looking up and down the body. Turning, Psycho Green’s finger twitched. Kat caught it at the corner of her eyes and spun around quickly. Psycho Green lunged forward, his right hand wrapped across Kat’s neck to prevent her from screaming. “Surprise!” He scowled. Kat tried to break free. Her cat claws dug sharply into Psycho Green’s arm. “So curiosity does kill the cat.” He laughed sinisterly.

Kat, forcing her leg up, kicked Psycho Green hard. He let go and she fell to the floor. Coughing hard, she quickly scrambled to her feet and towards the door. Psycho Green continued to laugh as he pulled out a small device. It was shape like a remote with a small dish at the top of it. “Let’s see if Broodwing’s device will work like he said.” The small device, an equipment that Broodwing had gave that held the same kind of energy used to bring him back to life, was aimed straight towards Psycho Yellow. Kat hit the alarm at her computer, she looked up to see Psycho Green proceeding with his plan. He hit a button and rays of energy began to hit Psycho Yellow. The Yellow colored machine began to twitch. As life began to slowly restore back within her body.

Vision began to restore and her memory kicked back in, Psycho Yellow was now fully operational once more. “Psycho Black?” His comrade spoke in a bit of confusion. The door shot open, Bridge and Z bolted right in after hearing where the alarm was coming from.

Z, shocked at the visual in front of her, glanced over at Kat and then back at Psycho Yellow, “There alive!?”

“A Power Ranger?” Psycho Yellow stepped forward in excitement, “Yes I can tell. A Yellow one. This ought to be fun.”

“Be careful.” Kat called out, “We don’t know what they are capable of.”

Bridge got into his signature fighting position. “Kat. We’ll handle this. Run.” Ms Manx nodded in response and dashed to the door. Psycho Yellow, her fast-paced reflex kicked in, pulled out her Psycho Sling and fired at the door panel. A small explosion caused smoke to rise as the door closed instantly. “No one is going anywhere.”

“Distract them.” Psycho Green commanded as he turned to the others, “While I bring some old friends back to life.”

Kat, pounding her fist against the door, was not able to get past the metal blockade. She spun around and leaned against it. She watched as Z dashed forward. “Let’s see how tough you really are.” She shouted.

Putting away her Psycho Sling, Psycho Yellow waited for the ranger to come at her. Z threw a quick jab but it was quickly blocked. Psycho Yellow reached out and grabbed Z’s wrist, twisting her arm to the side. Z used her other hand to break herself free. She spun around and looked over at Bridge, “Give me a hand will you?”

Bridge threw himself forward right at Psycho Yellow. The evil Ranger moved to the side and tripped Bridge to the ground. Bridge, trying to force himself back up, was pushed right down by Psycho Ranger’s left feet. He could feel the pressure on his back as she leaned down harder on him. A cackling laugh echoed from her. “This is the best you can do? Are rangers today that weak?”

Psycho Green was busy preparing his device for a next shot. He had widen the rays range to be able to hit all Psycho Red, Blue and Pink at once. Aiming it, he hit the button and watched as it each hit. All but Psycho Pink began to sprang to life. Psycho Blue climbed off the table. Kat noticed that the areas that the parts where missing were filled in with the monster’s tissue. Psycho Blue placed his chest piece back on and slowly walked over to Red and Green.

Psycho Red, his eyes geared towards the sudden battle in front of him, grinned at the thought of being alive once more, “Where are we?”

“The future.” Psycho Green responded simply, “But don’t worry. They have Power Rangers to destroy in this time also.”

Psycho Red began to laugh out loud. Kat could hear voices outside of the door. One of them being Doggie Cruger. They were doing everything in their powers to get the door open. She turned to the panel and began to repair it to the best of her ability. Psycho Blue crossed his arms. “And these annoying fighters? Are they the rangers?”

Psycho Yellow flipped Z onto her back, turning to block Bridge’s attack. Bridge pulled his arm back and launched another punch, only to be blocked again. Psycho Yellow kicked him onto his back and looked over at the others. “Don’t mind me. I’m just going to kill them.”

“What is wrong with Psycho Pink?” Blue hissed, he turned his body to face her, “She not working?”

“Apparently that isn’t the original.” Psycho Green slowly walked over to Kat’s counter. He reached into the box that the parts were shipped from and pulled out a small chip. Psycho Pink’s robotic parts may have been destroyed in the battle against the Galaxy and Space Rangers but the chip had manage to find it’s way back. He grabbed the chip and placed it in the back of Psycho Pink’s head. “Memory Chip. This should restore all the settings in her computer. He then used the device, increasing the power. A few minutes past and Pink became fully functional.

“Arg.” She screamed to life. She looked around the room and at the battle in front of her. “Where are they? I must destroy those damn space rangers for what they did to me!”

“Let’s go have some fun..” Psycho Red began to snicker. He took a step back, “Let us leave and destroy this city. I’m feeling a bit tense. I got to let loose.”

“Psycho Yellow. We leave.” Green snapped at her. Yellow was a bit hesitant. She grabbed a hold of Z and held her tightly as she glanced at her comrades. The door finally came open and S.P.D Soldiers began to flood the room. Yellow hissed as she tossed Z straight into them all and turned to follow the others. They all quickly vanished.

“Are you all right?” Doggie Cruger turned to Kat. She simply nodded as he glanced over at Bridge and Z. “We must not let them destroy the city. Track them down and stop them.”

Bridge, feeling extremely sore, held his chest as he stood up, “Easy for you to say. We just got our butts kicked.”

“Come on.” Z grabbed him. “We can’t give up now.”

--------------------

Jack, Syd and Sky were within the center of the city. Sky, thinking they were doing an important assignment when Doggie asked for them, was disappointed when he and the other two were assigned to help direct traffic and assist the construction workers in fixing the road. Each end of the road was blocked off at the intersection. Sky and Syd were at both ends directing cars left and right. Jack was giving a hand loading some equipments from a truck. He stood up and sighed, dusting his hand of dirt and looking around. The Patrol Jeep, with whirling emergency lights, drove down towards where the other three were. They zipped past Sky who gave a concern look. Bridge parted the jeep to the sidewalk and climbed out.

“What’s the matter?” He ran over to them. Syd and Jack had noticed and hustled on over to hear the news. Z, trying to explain everything that just happened, was interrupted by crackling of lightning from overhead. They looked down the street as construction workers begin to flee the scene. A lighting bolt hit the road and sparks began to fly. From the smoke the Psycho Rangers began to appear. Lined up side by side.

“We’re the Psycho Rangers.” Red hissed.

“We’re Faster then you.” Green added.

“Smarter then you.” Blue snarled afterwards.

“Stronger then you..”Yellow laughed

“But we’re evil!” Pink screamed at the end.

“Psycho Red. Psycho Pink. Psycho Yellow. Psycho Green. Psycho Blue.” The crackling of lighting shrouded them after each of them called out their colors.

They stopped and faced the S.P.D Rangers. Their signature introduction was well noted to the new rangers as they each got into a fighting position. Psycho Red stepped forward and just laughed.

“We’ll destroy you and this city. Then we will take our revenge on those who destroyed us originally.”

“Trust me. You won’t get the chance.” Jack locked his eyes on him, “I’m taking you down.”

Psycho Yellow, raising her fist and squeezing it tightly, scoffed at his response, “I just tossed two of your members like rag dolls. All of you are weak.”

“My first impression may have not been the best.” Z snapped angrily, “But trust me. I will leave a well-remembered second one.”

“Let’s get this over with.” Blue pulled out his Psycho Axe, “Time to die.”

“Let’s do it guys.” Sky got into his fighting position. Each one of his comrades raised their fists and prepared for battle.

The Psycho Rangers took out their weapons. They weren’t going to hold back. They charged straight forward towards the rangers. “Split up.” Jack commanded. He ran towards a side of the building only to be intercepted by Psycho Red. Jumping back, he starred down at the long Psycho Sword that Red was holding tightly. Jack took a step back as Red swung his sword at him. Spinning his body, Jack leaned against the wall and waited for the next attack. Red laughed evilly as he horizontally swung his sword. Triggering his powers, Jack phased through the wall and inside the building. He found himself in a dark room with rows of desk. It was an office building. There was only a few seconds of silence before the wall behind him smashed in. The concrete, caving from the walls and piling on the floor, was crushed by Psycho Red’s foot as he entered.

Jack pulled out his S.P.D Morpher and motioned his hand. “S.P.D Emergency.” He shouted. Transforming into the Red Suite. Pulling out his Deltamax Striker, Jack shot straight towards Red and clashed weapons.

Psycho Red, laughing sinisterly, leaned in till he was inches away from his helmet, “You are struggling.” He pulled back and diagonally slashed Jack across the chest, “Weakling!” The Red S.P.D Ranger hit the ground hard.

Z was chasing Psycho Yellow through the alleyway. Losing track of her target, she had slowed down in front of a dumpster and glanced around. The shrilling scream of Psycho Yellow echoed from above. Z, turning to glance up only to see her coming down at her, flipped backwards quickly. “Didn’t you have enough the first time I tossed you around?” Yellow began to circle her. “I’ll be more then happy to give you another round.”

Z, flashing a striking grin, bolted forward. She raised her fist to slam down upon her. Knocking her square across the face, Yellow stumbled back only to be hit by Z from the back with a powerful kick. Then from out of nowhere; Z came down from the sky and kicked her in the chest. Psycho Yellow spun around and noticed she was surrounded by Z and her copies. She hissed and raised her Psycho Sling. Firing shots, The Z’s split off and went straight towards her. Psycho Yellow shot one of the clones straight in the chest, causing it to vanish. She then spun around and blocked the second Z clone and grabbed a hold of her. She picked her up and tossed her into the original Z. The Yellow Ranger, realizing that all her clones were gone, pulled out her S.P.D Morpher. Psycho Yellow raised her weapon and fired a few more blasts straight towards her.

“S.P.D Emergency!” Z screamed as she motioned her hands. Smoke began to rise upon the impact of the blast. S.P.D Yellow zipped out of the smoke with her deltamax striker in hand. She used the blaster mode and began to fire. Psycho Yellow dodged and fired back. The sinister evil Ranger jumped in the air and came down on Z and kicked her back.

“Damn.” Z landed right on her back. “This is tough.”

Bridge was stuck across the street in search of Psycho Green. He had lost him in the sudden split up. Raising his hands, he kept a firm guard as he slowly walked through the alleyway. Sliding off his black gloves the cool air embraced his skin. Bridge waved his hand to summon the aura. He picked up Psycho Green’s movement and knew exactly where he was hiding. Passing a closed metal door he stopped for a few seconds and glanced around. The sounded roar of Psycho Green echoed behind the door as it flew open. The object spiraled straight towards Bridge, he jumped in the air, with all his might, he kicked the door straight back. Psycho Green punched back the door and charged straight Bridge. Carson rolled out of the way and kicked Psycho Green in the back. Green, pulling out his staff, twirled it around and knocked Bridge square in the gut. Bridge stumbled back regaining his composure. Psycho Green grabbed a hold his uniform and pulled him close. “I’m going to rip you to pieces.” He sneered.

Bridge, his eyes squinting and starring at the green trim, noticed some black, “Damn. I missed a spot!” Psycho Green tossed him into the air. “S.P.D Emergency!” He shouted. The Green suite wrapped around him as he landed on the ground in a fighting position. He then charged straight at Psycho Green.

Sky and Syd were tackling both Psycho Pink and Blue together. They stood in the middle of the street with their backs facing each other. Nodding to each other, they darted forward at the enemies. Syd side flipped and kicked Psycho Pink in the side. Pink grabbed a hold of Syd’s foot and twisted it. Syd lost balance and hit the cement. She tried to break herself free but it was almost impossible. Noticing a couple of small pebbles laying around in front of her. She grabbed one and shouted, “Fist of Stone.” Her right hand quickly transformed into a thick stone fist. She slammed it against Psycho Pink’s arm, breaking herself free. Scrambling to her feet, she smashed her stone hard hand straight across Pink’s face. “Don’t let the good looks fool you.” She grinned.

Sky flipped to the side to dodge the double bladed axe. Psycho Blue was lashing at him from left and right. Sky swiftly moved out of the way of each one, back flipping away and landing back on his feet. Psycho Blue began to charge straight towards him, he motioned his hand and a blue aura began to rise. The shield was enforced right as Psycho Blue smashed right into it. Falling back, Blue hissed in frustration as he stood up. Syd stood beside him and the two of them pulled out their morphers, taking it to the next level, “S.P.D Emergency!” They screamed.

Transforming into their Blue and Pink suite, Bridge, Jack and Z joined beside them. The Psycho Rangers all reformed and refaced the rangers. Psycho Red stepped forward and raised his hand, “I’m through of playing.” He shouted. A bolt from the sky shot down at Psycho Red, he then sent the charge straight towards the rangers.

“To easy!” Psycho Yellow howled. The S.P.D, laying on the ground after the powerful attack, looked over to see the enemies working towards them. They tried to force themselves up but their strength was diminishing.

“What do we do now?” Z looked over to the others, “There a bit stronger then I thought.”

Psycho Red rose his sword, “Say Goodbye, Rangers.” He cackled. He was about to lash down on them when a surge of energy went through him. He dropped the weapon and took a few steps back. “Wh-what is happening? I feel like I’m losing power.”

“Broodwing’s device is probably only temporally. We must leave.” He turned to the rangers, “We wont forget any of you. If you ever need a beating, do stop by.” He turned. The Psycho Rangers quickly began to vanish, leaving the rangers out on the streets alone.

--------------------

“This is all his fault.” Sky stormed into the lounge room. Most of the soldiers in the academy were cleaning up after the Psycho Rangers attack. The other rangers began to pour in and watched as Sky paced around.

“It’s not his fault.” Z crossed her arms, “Stop blaming this on him.”

Sky turned, viciously glancing at Bridge, “None of this would have happened if he did not go off!” He pointed his fingers straight at him, “Not only did we nearly put this academy in danger. We got our butts kicked.”

“I-I’m sorry.” Bridge forced the words out, “I don’t know what else to tell you.”

“If I was making the call, I would suspend you for your actions.”

“And that is why you aren’t making the call.” Kat’s voice rang from behind. Sky turned to see her walk into the room. He saluted her and placed his hands behind her.

“I’m sorry Ms Manx.” He stated, “I’m just a bit frustrated right now. Are you all right?”

“I’m perfectly fine. I can handle myself.” She responded lightly, “The actions that have occurred have caused a few setbacks. There is no doubt that the Psycho Rangers have formed an alliance with Emperor Gruumm.”

“So what do you think we should do?” Syd asked curiously, “Waiting is going to feel like forever.”

“Everyone can just relax. We are doing everything that we can.

--------------------

“We were so close!” Psycho Blue hissed, “The rangers were at our fingertips.”

“It doesn’t matter.” Psycho Red turned his head, “As long as we know we can beat them. It doesn’t hurt to toy with them a bit.” He snickered.

The Psycho Rangers began walking down the long hallway of Gruumm’s ship. Broodwing intercepted them, his arms crossed and glancing between them all. “So glad you all decided to stop by.”

“So you must be the one responsible in bringing us back.” Psycho Yellow looked up and down at him, “I bet I can take you.” She laughed.

“I felt our energy weakening.” Red informed him, “I do hope you have something in mind.”

“To make you more powerful?” He just nodded, “Of course I have. Bringing you from the Shadow World wasn’t easy. But the hardest part has already ended. I think I have a few ideas in increasing your strengths.”

“Then we will destroy the rangers and the world.” Psycho Pinks screeched, “Take revenge on those who were responsible in our demise.” The Psycho Rangers all began to laugh evilly. It echoed down the hall where Mora was listening. She had a grave look on her face. The Psycho Rangers were creeping her out.

Very good, feels like I'm actually watching an episode. This is one of the fanfictions I actually feel like continuously reading. By the way, just wanted to inform you of a reccuring spelling error, "Suite", pronounced (sue-wheat), which I think is supposed to be "Suit" (Suit).
