*Name: Brian Arrow

*Ranger Color and Power: Black Wolf Ranger

*Biography: Growing up on a reservation, Brian was guided by David Trueheart, the brother of Tommy Oliver who later took Tommy’s place as Zeo Ranger V. Brian was trained in the marital arts and in spiritual peace by Tommy and David. He’s the martial arts expert of the Hunter Rangers; he is also the calmest of the group, preferring to work things out instead of fighting. As well, he is a writer, working with his friends Johnny and Tony to create an independent comic book, “Feud”. The two worked in the short-lived “Night Angels” patrol group created by the original Black, Blue and Red Rangers. He’s close with Tim Drake, the third Robin, of the Teen Titans, and the two frequently train with each other and with Nightwing, Robin’s predecessor and mentor. Brian isn’t one to concentrate on the opposite sex, though he has a minor attraction to Mia of the Teen Titans (he is unaware that she is HIV positive).

*Powers and Weapons: Brian morphs using a wrist-mounted Hunter Morpher to activate his armor. His suit protects him from physical and energy attacks, and any damage to the suit is fixed by demorphing (the “Captain Marvel trick”). He has a dagger that his sheathed on his left arm where the morpher is. This dagger converts into a sword; twisting the sword results in the sword changing form. The forms include: saw-sword, staff, chain-staff, axe and double scythe. Brian pilots the Wolf Hunterzord, which has a cloaking device and heat and cold blasters. The Zord forms the left leg and foot of the Hunter Megazord. It also forms the left foot of the Hunter Megadragonzord and any future combinations based on the Megadragonzord configuration.

*Name: Marissa Bernstein

*Ranger Color and Power: Pink Falcon Ranger

*Biography: The daughter of Janice Hart’s fourth husband, Marissa is a beautiful, smart and very talented young lady. She immediately became close to her stepsister Kim, who trained her to be an expert in gymnastics. Meanwhile, Marissa became the center of social life in Angel Grove, attracting the attention of Tony Rodriguez. She still keeps his attention, though they’re still just friends, as she is dating Grant Emerson, a.k.a. Damage, while Tony is dating Supergirl. Marissa found a kindred soul in Cassie Sandsmark, the second Wonder Girl, as well as Kara Kent (Supergirl) and Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl), forming a clique that Tony calls “The Blondes”.

*Powers and Weapons: Marissa morphs using a wrist-mounted Hunter Morpher to activate his armor. Her suit protects her from physical and energy attacks, and any damage to the suit is fixed by demorphing (the “Captain Marvel trick”). She has a dagger that is sheathed on her left arm where the morpher is. This dagger converts into a sword; twisting the sword results in the sword changing form. The forms include: saw-sword, staff, chain-staff, axe and double scythe. Marissa pilots the Falconzord, which has wing-mounted cannons and can exceed the speed of sound. It forms the top of the head and the upper arms of the Hunter Megazord, and the left arm of the Hunter Megadragonzord and similar combinations.

*Name: Johnny Yu

*Ranger Color and Power: Blue Bear Ranger

*Biography: Quiet and brilliant, Johnny would’ve been sucked into mediocrity if it weren’t for his friends Brian and Tony, who incorporated him into their “Night Angel” group. He’s an expert with computers, able to write programs in minutes with only the barest of information. Above this, he is also a great engineer; his new great problem is the incredibly complex Zord formations of the team. The Teen Titans’ Kid Flash, better known as Bart Allen, is Johnny’s unlikely friend. While totally opposite in personality, the two have similar intelligence.

*Powers and Weapons: Johnny morphs using a wrist-mounted Hunter Morpher to activate his armor. His suit protects him from physical and energy attacks, and any damage to the suit is fixed by demorphing (the “Captain Marvel trick”). He has a dagger that is sheathed on his left arm where the morpher is. This dagger converts into a sword; twisting the sword results in the sword changing form. The forms include: saw-sword, staff, chain-staff, axe and double scythe. Johnny pilots the Rhinozord, the artillery of the Hunterzords, with a tank mode that can blast through any emplacement. For the Hunter Megazord, the Rhinozord forms the waist, right leg and foot, and main weapon: a six-barreled cannon that becomes a laser saber. For the Hunter Megadragonzord and other similar combinations, it becomes the right foot and shoulder cannon.

*Name: Alexandra Whitmore

*Ranger Color and Power: Yellow Cheetah Ranger

*Biography: Alex hasn’t always led a great life. She was born in St. Louis to a very young mother and given up for adoption. She floated from foster home to foster home, some better than others. The Whitmores, the aunt and uncle of Stargirl, adopted Alex and loved her very much. Eventually, they moved out to California, where Alex met her future teammate Marissa. Her life in St. Louis and her own troubled origins led Alex to become a social crusader. She is joined in this by her adopted cousin Courtney, and by Mia Dearden, a.k.a. Speedy. Mia’s teammate Kid Flash has taken interest in Alex.

*Powers and Weapons: Alex morphs using a wrist-mounted Hunter Morpher to activate his armor. Alex pilots the Cheetahzord, which has fold-out blades from its legs and can run at the speed of sound. Her Zord forms the lower part of the head and the lower arms of the Hunter Megazord, and the right arm of the Hunter Megadragonzord and other similar combinations.

*Name: Tony Rodriguez

*Ranger Color and Power: Red Tiger Ranger

*Biography: Equally skilled and hot-headed, Tony is the second-in-command of the Hunter Rangers, serving under Kyle. Despite being impetuous, he is loyal to his teammates and friends. He relies on strength over skill, and is more skilled in the use of weapons than Johnny or Brian. His strong leadership skills come from his tenure as the leader of the Night Angels. He’s also quite the artist, preferring to draw humans over anything else. Tony found much in common with Conner Kent, a.k.a. Superboy, and the two became fast friends. The two have a slightly different relationship now that Tony is dating Conner’s cousin Kara, the Supergirl from Krypton. Kara represents everything that Tony fights for: beauty, strength, and respect; the last he gets from Superman, who entrusts Tony with his young cousin. Tony is still dealing with his feelings for his teammate Marissa.

*Powers and Weapons: Tony morphs using a wrist-mounted Hunter Morpher to activate his armor. Tony pilots the Tigerzord, which combines strong hydraulic legs with a mouth-mounted missile launcher. In Hunter Megazord configuration, the Tigerzord forms the chest and shield. In Hunter Megadragonzord and similar combinations, the Tigerzord forms the chest and head.

*Name: Kyle Rayner

*Ranger Color and Power: Green Dragon Ranger

*Biography: Kyle has been a hero for a very long time. A young free-lance artist, became the Green Lantern of Earth after Hal Jordan destroyed Oa and the Green Lantern Corps. During his tenure as Green Lantern, he joined the Titans and dated Donna Troy, and served for years on the JLA. After exploring space for a year, he returned to an unfaithful girlfriend (Jenny-Lynn Hayden, otherwise known as Jade) and soon aided the JSA and the United in recapturing the Dragonzord. He found the Dragon Coin merged with his ring, turning him into the Green Hunter Ranger. A year later, the Hunter Rangers formed, and things became different. He is currently engaged to Donna Troy, a.k.a. Troia.

*Powers and Weapons: Kyle morphs using a wrist-mounted Hunter Morpher to activate his armor. His suit protects him from physical and energy attacks, and any damage to the suit is fixed by demorphing (the “Captain Marvel trick”). He wears an energy ring on his right hand that converts willpower into energy constructs. He has a dagger that is sheathed on his left arm where the morpher is. This dagger converts into a sword; twisting the sword results in the sword changing form. The forms include: saw-sword, staff, chain-staff, axe and double scythe. The redesigned Dragonzord is comprised of the Hawkzord, Dolphinzord, Lionzord, Beetlezord and Warriorzord, which combine into the Dragonzord. They merge with the Hunter Megazord in an extremely complex way in order to create the Hunter Megadragonzord.

*Team Profile: The Justice League of America (JLA)

*Active Roster: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash (Wally West), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Green Arrow

*Reserve Roster: Plastic Man, Elongated Man, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Fire, Zatanna, Mr. Miracle, Big Barda, Orion, Green Lanterns (Guy Gardner, Hal Jordan), Black Canary

*History: The original Justice League was founded in 1975 by the Martian Manhunter, the Black Canary, the Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Aquaman as a modern day version of the Justice Society. More and more superheroes joined, including Superman, Batman, Green Arrow, the JSA’s Hawkman and Zatanna, before the team disbanded after Barry died in the Qward Crisis (known to us as the Crisis on Infinite Earths) in 1985. Industrialist Maxwell Lord founded the Justice League International two years later; Batman, Hal Jordan, Superman and the Martian Manhunter led formerly unknown superheroes such as Wonder Woman, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Fire, Ice and Elongated Man into battle. Later on, Hal retired and his boorish replacement Guy Gardner joined in his stead. The JLI and its offshoot, the Justice League Europe, disbanded after the Superman’s death in 1993 and Hal’s transformation into Parallax in 1995, respectively A year later, a revitalized Superman and a much darker post-paralysis Batman formed the JLA once more, with an active roster of Aquaman, Plastic Man, Wonder Woman, Kyle Rayner (the last Green Lantern) and Wally West (taking over his uncle’s role as the Flash) joining them. Later on, others such as Steel, the second Green Arrow and the New Gods Orion and Big Barda joined, if only for a short time. Since then, Batman has left and rejoined the League, and the resurrected Ollie Queen and Hal Jordan have rejoined the JLA as Green Arrow and Green Lantern.

*Mission: The JLA is the Earth’s prominent superhero group and the first line of defense against alien invasions, supervillains, natural disasters and the like.

*Team Profile: The Justice Society of America (JSA)

*Active Roster: Green Lantern (Alan Scott), Flash (Jay Garrick), Mr. Terrific, Sand, Dr. Mid-Nite, Power Girl, Hawkman, Wildcat, Hawkgirl, Hourman, Captain Marvel, Stargirl, Damage, Jakeem Thunder

*Reserve Roster: CM3 (Captain Marvel, JR.), Black Canary (reserve for both JLA and JSA), Uncle Sam, Phantom Lady, Human Bomb, Black Condor

*History: Twelve of the Earth’s earliest superheroes came together in 1939 to defend America against Nazi spies. The Justice Society’s original line-up were the Flash and Green Lantern who currently serve today, plus the original Atom, Dr. Mid-Nite, Sandman, Mister Terrific, Starman, Hawkman, Hourman, Wildcat, Dr. Fate and Johnny Thunder. Later on, the super-powerful Spectre, Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, as “The Wonder Woman”, and Dinah Drake Lance, the first Black Canary, joined the JSA. The group disbanded in the 1950’s when the HUAC forced them to testify that they were not Communists; enraged, the JSA decided to quit. They reformed after the Justice League, their ideological descendants, started up, in order to help them out. Hawkman acted as a link between the two groups. The group stayed in action until 1996, when Extant killed the Atom, Dr. Mid-Nite and Hourman. Flash and Green Lantern re-founded the JSA with the descendants and protégés of the original members when they had to fight Mordru, the Dark Lord. The JSA has a more fluid membership than the JLA.

*Mission: The JSA preserves the past while protecting the present and training younger heroes for the future. They also fight more magic-based threats than the JLA.

*Team Profile: United Ranger Organization (The United)

*Active Team (Strike Force): The Hunter Rangers

*Reserve Teams: Original, Zeo, Turbo, Space, Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder

*Inactive Teams: Mythic, Ninja

*History: Much of the original history of the Power Rangers has been cast into doubt now that Cyclis has returned. What we do know is that the original Rangers premiered in 1993 to fight Rita Repulsa while the other superheroes were mourning Superman and fighting Parallax and Extant. For a long time, the Rangers were distant from the other superhero groups until Carter Grayson, the cousin of Nightwing (Dick Grayson) became the Lightspeed Rescue Red Ranger and had the team work with the Titans. Since then, a reconfigured Morphing Grid allows all teams to keep their powers at once, though they are at half-power. The United are looked down upon by the other superheroes due a linear strategy and the early poor communication. This has changed with the premiere of the Hunter Rangers, who, with a former Green Lantern as their Green Ranger, have befriended the Teen Titans and become closer with the superhero community. This has led to some standoffish behavior between the United and the other teams, especially since Tommy Oliver, the greatest of the Power Rangers, has now become Parallax.

*Mission: The Power Rangers defend the Earth from certain alien menaces that plague the Earth every year. They rarely fight other supervillains.

*Team Profile: The Teen Titans

*Active Roster: Cyborg, Troia, Superboy, Supergirl, Wonder Girl, Robin, Kid Flash, Speedy, Raven, Beast Boy

*Inactive Roster: Red Star, Pantha, Baby Wildebeest, Bumblebee

*History: The Teen Titans began when the wards of Batman, the Flash, Green Arrow, Hippolyta the Wonder Woman and Aquaman all met to fight Antithesis. Robin, Kid Flash, Speedy, Wonder Girl and Aqualad formed the Teen Titans in 1986; a year later, the empath Raven came and enlisted the team’s help against her father Trigon. During this battle, Cyborg, Starfire, and Beast Boy joined the Teen Titans. The team kept gaining and losing members (and Robin became Nightwing) before disbanding the first time when the Wildebeest Society hunted down and killed the Golden Eagle and wounded many other Titans. Arsenal founded a short-lived New Titans that Kyle Rayner was a member of. After Cyborg merged with the Technis entity and the Teen Titans faced off against the JLA to defend Cyborg, the original five Titans formed a new team, merely called the Titans. Meanwhile, four new young superheroes—the third Robin, Superboy, the second Wonder Girl and Impulse—had formed Young Justice as a team for the fourth generation of superheroes. The two teams disbanded after the deaths of Lilith Clay and Donna Troy (now Troia). Cyborg founded a new Teen Titans group that merged the Titans and Young Justice. Recently, Supergirl and Speedy have joined the Teen Titans, and a reborn Troia has come to help Cyborg lead.

*Mission: The Teen Titans is a place where young superheroes can find other people like them and fight crime and train together. It’s interesting to note that the Teen Titans has the highest death rate per membership of any team.

*Team Profile: The Outsiders

*Roster: Arsenal, Nightwing, Tempest, Starfire, Grace, Thunder, Indigo, Shift, Hawk, Dove, Batgirl

*History: Batman left the JLI in 1989 after the death of Jason Todd. He created a new super team in order to challenge the stodgy ways of the League; thus, the Outsiders were born, featuring new superheroes alongside Metamorpho and Black Lightning, who had turned down League membership. Batman was paralyzed two years later and left the team in the hands of Geo-Force. Soon after, the Outsiders disbanded. In the wake of the deaths of Lilith and Troia, three of the original Teen Titans—Nightwing, Arsenal and Tempest, formerly Robin, Speedy and Aqualad—reformed the Outsiders with Batman’s permission. New members include Thunder, the daughter of Black Lightning, the new Hawk and Dove, and Batgirl (Cassandra Cain).

*Mission: The Outsiders work outside the system to fight crime. They don’t force anyone to go on any mission; they band together for the common good.

*Team Profile: Infinity, Inc.

*Roster: Dr. Fate, Fury, Atom Smasher, Jade, Obsidian, Firestorm, Huntress, Arrowsmith (formerly Green Arrow II)

*History: The original Infinity, Inc. was founded by the protégés of the Justice Society, just as the Teen Titans were founded by the protégés of the Justice League. The founders were the Silver Scarab, Fury, Nuklon, Jade and Obsidian. The group broke up in the mid-nineties after the destruction of the JSA. Nuklon and Obsidian had left beforehand to join the JLE. Nuklon later became Atom Smasher, while the Silver Scarab became the fourth Dr. Fate; both served in the JSA. Atom Smasher later left the team after killing Extant; Dr. Fate left after finding his wife and son. The two later met up with Jade (now the ex-girlfriend of Kyle Rayner) and Obsidian (who had become a villain but later reformed), and after Fate’s wife became Fury once more, the five recreated Infinity, Inc. They soon allowed membership to the Huntress, the new Firestorm and Arrowsmith, formerly the second Green Arrow.

*Mission: Infinity, Inc. is a way for heroes who have gone to the dark side and back to return, as well as to give a place to other heroes.
