This was for my friends and family.

I never thought I would begin
to see a friend who's life would end.
I felt her live, I heard her cry,
I made her laugh, I saw her die.
I see her with me wherever I go,
making it very hard to let go.
All the memories of days past,
I wish our time could everlast.
All she ever did was smile,
making her presence all worthwhile.
I really wish she could be with us today,
though they say she is, it doesn't feel that way.
Many times I sit and cry,
all I do is wonder why.
Why this girl? What did she do?
She was a very good friend, her heart always true.
I know that if I'm patient, and live my life, then,
we'll all be united, in paradise with Jen.

Thanks.

Her screen name popped up on my buddy list this morning, and I almost shit a brick. Turns out it was her mom.

For a second, I thought she had AOL in heaven... <.< >.>

Thanks. I guess I'll put this here, too:

This was on the front of a card given away at her wake--

"I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing
times and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who
grieve, to dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done."

And on the other side--

"God grant me the
Serenity to accept the
things I cannot change...
Courage to change
the things I can and
Wisdom to know
the difference. Amen."
