Here is a poem I found which was written by my friend, Jen. It was one she personally liked, and now it's personally significant to me and the rest of her friends and family.
Silence
There are a million things I could say to you.
Chances are you’ve herd them all,
From me or someone else
Doesn’t matter, I’m still repeating myself.
You want me to tell you that it’s going to be okay,
But you know that it will be.
I could tell you I love you,
That I will always be there for you,
But you know that too.
I could tell you that someday,
The hurt will go away,
But you just told me that the other day.
I’d tell you that I’ll be there in 10 minutes
And sit and hold you while you cry,
But it would be closer to hours.
I’d call you on the phone
And stay up with you all night,
But there aren’t enough minutes.
So when it comes down to it,
There is nothing I can do or say,
To make this hurt go away.
So I tell you I love you,
And we sit in silence.
