Power Rangers Spirits of the Jungle-Episode Four-Battle for the Beasts

Scene: The Forest Temple. Mystra is in a back room, continuing her work on some new machinery. She smiles, as she gets up, and walks back to the main room. She jumps, as she sees Leah standing there, wearing a yellow tank top, faded capris, and some white shoes.

Mystra: Leah, you startled me. What are you doing here?

Leah: Mystra, I need to talk to you. I’ve been having this weird dream lately.

Mystra: Here, sit down.

She pulls out two chairs, and they sit down, facing each other.

Mystra: So, why don’t you tell me all about it.

Leah: Well, it’s about the Ancient Warriors. I always see them battling in some jungle, and then I see the Yellow Warrior, Princess Liara. Can you tell me what happened to her?

Mystra: Well, actually, I can’t. I have no idea. You see, she disappeared just before Queen Hedrina was locked away. We found her coin resting in the dirt.

Leah: I wish I knew what happened to her. I should go and find out.

She stands up, and smiles.

Leah: As a matter of fact, I will.

Mystra: No. Leah, you can’t go.

Leah: Mystra, I’m going. And, there is nothing you can say or do to change my mind.

Mystra: Well, you are just like the Princess. Well, I need you to do something for me while you are there.

Leah: Of course, anything. What is it?

Mystra: Well, it’s more for the team then it is for me. Legend has it that Princess Liara hid a powerful weapon where ever she hid herself. If you can find where that was, then you can find the weapon. I have a feeling that it will come in handy.

Leah: Well, I’ll look. Make sure you tell the others where I am. And, make sure you tell them not to come. I want to do this on my own.

Mystra nods, as Leah presses the Yellow Cheetah on her bracelet, and she disappears in a yellow sphere of light.

(Opening Credits)

Act 1

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay/Outdoor Pizzeria. Landon and Anna are out on their first date, checking out the new pizza place, “Pizza Palace”. Landon is wearing a red buttoned shirt, unbuttoned over a white t-shirt, denim shorts and some black sandals. Anna is wearing a pink and white shirt, tan skirt and some white shoes.

Anna: Man, where is our pizza?

Landon: Well, it is the first day this place is opened. And, it looks like they’re swamped. Give them some time. But while we’re waiting, I have a question for you.

Anna: What’s up?

Landon: Do you have a date for the homecoming dance?

Anna: No. Why?

Landon: Well, I was wondering. Would you like to go with me?

Anna: Yeah, that would be great.

Landon looks at her a smiles. The waiter comes over, and places a large, pepperoni pizza down on the table.

Scene: The African Jungles. Leah is walking, looking all around for some form of a clue to aid her in her search. Behind her, we see a shadow, slowly walking towards her. Leah feels some sort of presence, and turns, but sees nothing there.

Leah: Man, this heat must be getting to me.

She turns back to continue walking forward, and stops, and gasps, and jumps back.

Leah: Oh my god.

Scene: The Underground Chamber. Queen Hedrina is watching as Landon and Anna flirt, and eat pizza.

Queen Hedrina: Dear lord, human courtship makes me gag. Time to break up this love-fest.

She snaps her fingers, and laughs.

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay/Pizza Palace. Landon and Anna are sitting, laughing, and joking around. There is an explosion, and they turn to see an army of Goyle Knights.

Landon: Wonderful.

(Commercials)

Act 2

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay. Anna and Landon are standing before the Goyle Knights, in defensive poses. They look around, realizing that there are just too many for them to fight alone.

Anna: We’d better call in the others.

Landon raises his Red Condor bracelet to his lips, and calls the others.

Landon: Guys, me and Anna need some help. Get downtown ASAP.

He cuts off the link, and leaps into the air. He extends his leg, and plants a solid kick on the chest armor of one of the Goyle Knights. Using her gymnastics and cheerleading training, Anna flips through the air, and kicks one of the creatures in the face. On of the creatures comes up behind her, and grabs her. It then throws her into Landon, knocking them both into the side of the fountain. The creatures close in, their claws extended forward.

Scene: The African Jungles. Leah stands, shocked at what she sees before her. Standing there is a woman who looks exactly like her, with yellow, cat-like eyes, and dressed in African tribal garb. It is the original Yellow Cheetah Warrior, Princess Liara.

Princess Liara: Well, well, well. What do we have here Leah Phillips, right?

Leah: Yeah. How did you know?

Princess Liara: The Yellow Cheetah told me. Now then, I know why you are here. You want my all powerful weapon. Correct?

Leah: Well, yes. Mystra says that whatever it is, it will help up defeat Queen Hedrina.

Princess Liara: That it will. But, you have to do something first.

Leah: What?

Princess Liara: You’ll see. Now then, follow me.

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay. Landon and Anna try to get up, but they are soon surrounded by the villains. Anna grabs Landon, and begins to shake. He smiles, and he places his arm around her in an attempt to shield her. A column of water spirals out of the fountain, and hurls the demons backwards. Landon and Anna look up, and see Andy, standing, his arms crossed, wearing a blue sweatshirt, dark jeans and some white and blue shoes.

Andy: You know, you guys realize you could’ve fought back.

Landon brings his finger to his lips, and to sush him. Andy smiles and laughs at the sight of this. He extends his arms forward, and helps his friends up. They turn, and prepare to fight.

Scene: The Underground Chamber. Queen Hedrina sees the three teens battling her minions, and is disgusted. She waves her arm, making her view screen. She gets up, and picks up the Book of Elcron. She flips through the pages, and stops at a particular creature. It is a large, muscular being, with the head of a tiger. Its orange and black striped fur is covered by thick, purple and green body armor. It’s name is Mihira, the first of the 12 Devas in the book.

Queen Hedrina: This will do perfectly. Mihira, the Tiger Deva, awaken, and come forth

A column of dark energy shoots from the book, causing Queen Hedrina to drop it to the ground. The light fades, and the creature is standing on top of the book itself. Mihira kneels down before Queen Hedrina, and bows his head.

Mihira: My Queen, I am here to serve.


Queen Hedrina: Go to the surface, and destroy the Power Rangers, and bring me their little Power Coins.

The demon tiger nods his head, and disappears in a flash of light.

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay. Andy, Landon and Anna stand, brushing their hands. We see that they have defeated the Goyle Knights, which are scattered across the ground.

Anna: Well, that was easy.

There is a flash of light, and Mihira appears.

Landon: You just had to jinx it, didn’t you?

Mihira: I take it that you are the so-called Power Rangers. I am Mihira, the Tiger Deva. And, you shall perish

Andy: Deva? That sounds familiar.

Anna: It does?

Andy: Yeah. According to ancient Sanskrit legends, the Devas were warriors that drew their powers from the creatures of the Chinese Zodiac.

Landon: Hey, braniac, sorry to cut your story short, but we need to focus here. You guys ready?

They flick their left wrists, summoning their morphers.

All: Spirits of the Jungle, Awaken and Transform

*Three-way split morph*

Red Ranger: You’re going down.

Scene: The African Jungles. Princess Liara has led Leah to a clearing. Princess Liara stops, and points off into the distance.

Princess Liara: There is my ultimate weapon.

Leah: I don’t see anything.

Princess Liara: Wait for it.

There is a flash of white light, and Princess Liara smiles.

Princess Liara: Leah, meet the Jungle Zords.

Leah looks forward, and sees the five beasts. Hovering in the air, she sees the large red and silver metallic Condor Zord, and the large blue and white metallic Shark Zord. Laying on the ground, is the large, white and silver, pink-maned, metallic Lion Zord. Standing next to it is the large, black and silver metallic Rhino Zord. There’s a loud growl, and the large yellow, black and gold spotted, metallic Cheetah Zord runs forward, standing next to the Rhino.

Princess Liara: They are yours Leah, for a price.

Leah: A price? What would that be?

Princess Liara: A test. You must battle me. If you win, the Zords are yours. But, if you lose, you shall lose your powers forever. Do you accept?

Leah is shocked to find out that she has to win, or lose her ranger powers for good. She thinks for a second, then delivers her answer.

Leah: I accept your challenge Princess. But, I’m sorry to tell you, you are going to lose.

Princess Liara: We’ll see about that.

She takes up a fighting pose.


(Commercials)

Act 3

Scene: Josh Lansing’s House/Living Room. Josh is sitting on his couch, his legs crossed, and propped up on the coffee table. He is wearing a white shirt, black jeans, and a pair of white socks. His program quickly changes to a news bulletin. The reporter is a Latino female, with long black hair, and a gray suit.

Reporter: This is Rebecca Sanchez, with an important News Bulletin.
The screen changes to the battle downtown. The three rangers each have their signature weapons in hand. Try as they want, they can’t even hit Mihira. Unfortunately, without Leah’s speed, they are unable to catch up with him. He runs past each of them, in a blur of orange light, striking each of them. Sparks fly from their armor as they fall to the ground.


Rebecca Sanchez (Voice Over): Three of our own Power Rangers are being defeated at the hands of a merciless tiger creature. Where are the others? Is this the end of the Power Rangers? Will our home be destroyed?

The screen flashes back to her.

Rebecca Sanchez: We shall keep you updated as the story develops. Please, Black and Yellow Rangers. If you are out there, your teammates need you.

Josh quickly gets up and turns off the TV.

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay. Red Ranger leaps forward, and brings his sword down to Mihira. The demon smiles, and runs off in the blur of light. He appears behind Red Ranger, and kicks him in the back. Blue Ranger leaps forward, twirling his staff. He goes to strike, Mihira laughs, and takes off again. When he stops, White Ranger is standing before him, her daggers in hand.

White Ranger: Take this. Lion’s Rage

She twirl her daggers, as white light engulfs them. She hurls them forward. They strike Mihira, and electricity dances across his body, causing him to fall to his knees. He gets up, and roars into the air. He takes off in a blur of light, and slashes White Ranger at several different locations. She falls to the ground, doubled-over in pain.

Mihira: Pathetic Rangers. Give me your coins, and end your suffering now.

A blast of black energy strikes him from behind, causing him to fall forward. He gets up, and sees the Black Ranger with his Rhino Blaster in hand, with its barrel smoking.

Black Ranger: Your done for.

Scene: The African Jungles. Princess Liara flips through the air, and spin kicks Leah. Leah grabs the princesses foot, and spins her the opposite way. She then flips backwards, then leaps forward, and kicks Princess Liara in the stomach.

Princess Liara: You fight well Leah. But, you’ll need to do better then that

She takes off, running in a blur of yellow light. Leah chuckles and does the same. The two blurs of light race across the jungle floor, and stop at the base of a small mountain. The two stand in defensive positions. Leah side-kicks the princess, who crosses her arms to brace herself from the kick. She then punches Leah in the stomach, and then grabs her, and throws her to the ground.

Princess Liara: Leah, face it. You can’t beat me. You are foolish. You may look like me, but you don’t fight like me.

Leah: You’re right. I fight better

She picks herself up, and leaps into the air. She spin kicks Princess Liara across the face, then knife-hands her on her shoulder. Leah then knees the Princess in her stomach, causing her to fall hard to the ground. Leah cups her hand over her mouth when she realizes what she has just done. She extends her arm, in an effort to help the Princess up. Princess Liara takes her arm, and slowly stands up. She smiles.

Princess Liara: Leah, congratulations. You have proven yourself both strong, and caring. You are a true warrior. The Jungle Zords are yours. Now quickly, your friends need you. Queen Hedrina has sent a powerful monster.

Leah: I’m on my way.

She turns around, but then turns back. She walks up to Princess Liara, and embraces her.

Leah: Thank you.

Princess Liara: For what? You did this all yourself.

She steps back, and begins to fade away.

Princess Liara: Good luck Leah.

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay. A blur of yellow light dances across the screen, striking Mihira, knocking him to ground. The four rangers look, and see the Yellow Cheetah Ranger standing over the demon’s body. She turns to them.

Yellow Ranger: You guys miss me?

White Ranger: Um, yeah Where the hell were you?

Yellow Ranger: Getting us something.

Mihira: You are finished.

He takes off in a blur of orange light. Yellow Ranger shakes her head, and takes off in a yellow blur. The two leap into the air, and strike each other. Finally, Mihira falls to the ground. Yellow Ranger lands, with her Cheetah Whip in hand.

Yellow Ranger: You’re going down.

She races forward, and cracks her whip in the air. It soon begins to glow yellow, and she wraps it around the demon. She pulls on it hard, and Mihira begins to glow yellow. She soon pulls even harder, causing him to literally fall to pieces.

Yellow Ranger: Told you.

Scene: The Underground Chamber. Queen Hedrina waves away her view screen, and leaps from her throne.

Queen Hedrina: Now, I get to test out my new plan

She raises her right arm into the air, and slowly twirls it around. A spinning vortex of dark energy begins to form.

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay. The spinning vortex emerges in the sky. The pieces of Mihira are soon sucked up. The vortex closes, and then reopens. A larger version of Mihira emerges out of it. He looks down on the Rangers, and laughs.

Mihira: I’m back

Black Ranger: Oh crap.

(Commercials)

Act 4

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay. The five rangers run from the large foot of Mihira that’s about to crush them.

Blue Ranger: How do we stopo that thing?

Yellow Ranger: With our new weapons. The Jungle Zords.

White Ranger: Since when do we have zords?

Yellow Ranger: Since today.

Red Ranger: Well, what are we waiting for?

The five rangers raise their right arms into the air. Their fists begins to glow their respective colors. They soon form a circle, and place their fists in the center.

All: Jungle Zords, Awaken

They hurl their fists into the air, releasing rings of colored energy.

In the middle of the bay, we see a pair of black eyes open. Soon, a blue fin emerges from the water, and begins traveling across. Slowly, the Blue Shark Zord begins emerging, until finally leaping up out of the water, and flying towards the battle.

In the middle of the forest, we hear a pair of roars. Soon, we see the White Lion and Yellow Cheetah Zords running side by side. The two gleam in the sun, and begin to run faster, heading towards the battle.

Near the city boundaries, we see the Rock Quarry. The ground begins to shake, and it opens up. From the crack in the ground, the Black Rhino Zord slowly emerges. Once it does, it rises up on it’s hind legs, and then stomps back down, removing the rock dust from it’s body. It then takes off, running towards the battle.

Finally, up in the sky, a funnel of red energy appears. From in it, the Red Condor Zord flies from the top. Its armor shimmers, and it screeches in the air. It begins to flaps its wings, flying towards the battle.

The rangers look, and see the zords running towards them. They seem excited, and White Ranger jumps up and down, clapping her hands.

White Ranger: Yes

Black Ranger: I have to admit, it is pretty cool.

Red Ranger: Let’s do it guys

They leap into the air, and enter the cockpits. The sit, and activate the controls.

Mihira: Big deal. Your little toys don’t scare me.

Black Ranger: Well, they should.

The Rhino Zord charges forward, and lowers its head. The horn of the zord strikes the demon, sending him backwards.

Blue Ranger: Hey, don’t hog the fun.

The Shark Zord opens its massive jaw, and chomps down on Mihira’s arm. Mihira cries out in pain, and tries to shake the zord off. The Shark releases itself, and the Lion Zord charges forward. It leaps into the air, and claws him. Next the Yellow Chetah runs forward and pounces. Finally, the Red Condor swoops down, and fires a blast of red energy from it’s mouth. Mihira stumbles backwards, but catches himself before falling.

Mihira: Good, but not good enough.

White Ranger: Great. What now?

Yellow Ranger: Landon, activate the Megazord Formation.

Red Ranger: Right.

He searches around his control panel, and sees a flashing red button. He nods, and presses it.

Red Ranger: Jungle Zords, Combine

The zords begin transforming. First, the lion leaps into the air, and it’s legs fold into its body. It’s body then compacts. The Shark flies next to it, and attaches on the right side of the Lion. A black fist emerges from its mouth. The Cheetah leaps in the air, as it’s legs and tail fold into it’s body. It attaches to the left side of the Lion, and it’s head twists around, being replaced by a black fist. Back on the ground, the Rhino Zord stands up on it’s hind legs, and bows down its head. The legs fold into it’s body, and the Lion, Shark and Cheetah combo lands on top of the zord, forming the legs, torso and arms. Finally, the Condor flies downward, and attaches to the back of the Lion. It’s head and neck slide forward, and upward, revealing the face. The five rangers now sit in a joined cockpit, in the center of the Megazord.

All: Jungle Spirit Megazord, Battle Ready

The Megazord poses, and Mihira laughs.

Mihira: So what. You’re going down

He extends his arm, and a flame swirls around his hand, summoning his saber. He charges forward, and slashes the Megazord’s chest.

Blue Ranger: We have to do something.

Red Ranger: Yeah. Jungle Spirit Megazord Saber

A large, gold handled sword with a long, silver blade appeared in the Megazord’s right hand. Mihira goes to strike again, but the Jungle Spirit Megazord blocks it with it’s own sword. Mihira growls, and takes off in a blur of orange light. He constantly strikes the Megazord at all different angles. The rangers grab on to their control panels, as a way to brace themselves during the attack.

Black Ranger: What are we going to do.

Suddenly, Blue Ranger snaps his fingers. He spins his seat towards the small computer panel at the back of the cockpit, and begins typing fast.

White Ranger: Andy This is no time for computer games

Blue Ranger: I’m not playing computer games. I figured out a way to beat him.

He spins back around and begins to explain to them his plan.

Blue Ranger: On each of our control panels, we have a slot for our coins. If any of us places them in this slot, the Megazord will have the same abilities that they give us.

Black Ranger: So?

Blue Ranger: Think of it this way, if Leah put in her coin...

Red Ranger: Then the Megazord will have super-speed.

Blue Ranger: Exactly.

Yellow Ranger extracts the coin from her morpher, and looks around her control panel. She finds a small slot.

Yellow Ranger: Either this is it, or I’m about to pay for one of those cheap supermarket rides.

She places the coin in the slot, and yellow light is emitted from it. The eyes of the Megazord begin to glow yellow.

Red Ranger: Jungle Spirit Megazord, Mega Dash!

The Megazord takes off in a blur of light. It strikes Mihira at several different angles, until it stops, and stands, its back towards the demon. Mihira falls backwards, and explodes.

Scene: The Underground Chamber. General Amadeon is kneeling down before Queen Hedrina.

Amadeon: My Queen, I’m sorry to say, but your Deva has been destroyed.

Queen Hedrina: Those Rangers! I’ll get them!

Scene: Downtown Coral Bay. Josh is walking down the street, heading towards the Coral Bay Creamery, the local ice cream shop. He is on his way to apologize to the others for being a jerk.

Josh (To Himself): They’re not that bad. Actually, they’re pretty nice. I hope they accept my apology.

He enters the building, and he looks around. He sees Anna, Landon, Andy and Leah sitting towards the back, eating some ice cream sundaes. He walk up to the counter. Anna looks up, and sees him.

Anna: What’s he doing here?

They watch, as Josh pays for his sundae, and walks over to them.

Josh: Do you mind if I join you?

Landon: Well, it is a victory celebration for the team.

Leah: Yeah, so pull up a chair.

He smiles, and grabs a chair, drags it over tho their table, and sits. He soon begins apologizing, and attempting to explain himself.

Josh: Guys, I’m sorry for being such a jerk There’s a long story behind, and, I can’t share it with you. Not yet. But, can you guys forgive me?

The four look at each other, and then turn to Josh.

Anna: Of course we can.

Josh: Alright.

He puts his spoon in his sundae, takes some ice cream, and raises it into the air.

Josh: A toast. To new friendships.

The others smile, and mimic his movements.

Anna: To the Zords.

Landon: To us.

All: To us.

They clang their spoons together, and laugh. The begin to eat their sundaes, and talk, joke, and laugh.
