Episode 6
"Mystery Of The Ancient Ruins"

Setting: Downtown Terra Venture
Drax is seated at a table at an outside café, sipping a cup of coffee.
Drax: I’ll give these humans one thing, they make good coffee.
The scanning device starts beeping. He puts the coffee down, takes out the scanning device and looks at it.
Drax: Hmm, it seems these humans have found my package, can't have that...
He downs the last of his coffee, gets up and leaves the table.
Setting: Somewhere on Mirinoi
An archaeological expedition is making its way through the thick jungle. The leader of the expedition, Professor Kaylan, studies the map carefully.
Professor Kaylan: Hmm, according to the Miranite legends, it should be around here, somewhere.
He sees something glinting in the sunlight, and walks towards it. It’s a large golden plaque, embedded in a stone column. He brushes away the cobwebs and vines with his hand. The plaque has a picture etched into it, a picture of a large lion.
Professor Kaylan: We’ve found it, by god we’ve FOUND IT.
Red Lion Ranger suddenly descends down and stands in front of Professor Kaylan, blocking his way.
Red Lion Ranger: Sorry Professor, this is off limits.
Professor Kaylan: You can’t do this, this is a major find. Do you know what is hidden here?
Red Lion Ranger: Yes, and if you ever want to live to be old enough to draw your pension, LEAVE! NOW!
Lion Ranger draws the Fire Sabre and aims it at the team, who back away.
Red Lion Ranger: LEAVE NOW!
The team turn and run. After they have gone, Lion Ranger turns and walks to the stone column. He stabs the Fire Sabre at the base of the column. He steps back and watches as a shield of fire red energy wraps around the column.
Red Lion Ranger: There, that should hold you for a while.
He turns and walks away into the forest.
Setting: Downtown Terra Venture
Drax is seated at a table at an outside café, sipping yet another cup of coffee.
Drax: The humans are more intelligent then I thought, so it should take them about an hour to find it.
He signals the waiter and he walks over.
Waiter: Can I get you anything sir?
Drax: Another coffee.
Waiter: Yes sir.
The waiter turns and walks away. Leo and Kendrix walk up to Drax.
Kendrix: Drax, we need to talk.
Drax: No, we don’t.
Leo: Yes we do. How did you know Kendrix was pregnant?
Drax (smiling): I’m psychic.
Leo: Drax, please, how did you know? And how do I know your name?
You’ve never told us.
Drax: I’m psychic, now leave me in peace...
They are interrupted by several explosions that erupt down the street.
Drax: Right on schedule....
While Leo and Kendrix see what’s going on, Drax slips away. The explosions are caused by a dragon monster with silver hair, red reptile eyes, and clothed in a leather jacket with sleeves torn out to show off his massive biceps. His long red tail is covered with small holes from which an occasional burst of flame erupts.
FireStorm: Ah Hahahahahahaha! Yes, this will do NICELY. Lots of combustible material, AND PEOPLE to turn into pools of SLAG!
FireStorm whips his tail around, sending dozens of miniature fire tornadoes throughout the city.
Red Lion Ranger lands in front of FireStorm with his arms folded.
Red Lion Ranger: FireStorm, you old cinder box, when did they let you out?
FireStorm: Drax, what are you doing here? You always said you HATED Miranites.
Red Lion Ranger: It’s a long story, old friend. Suffice to say I’m supposed to stop your swathe of destruction.
FireStorm: Hey if I had known you were here, I wouldn’t have attacked.
The mini fire tornadoes disappear. FireStorm put his arm around his Red Lion Ranger’s shoulder.
FireStorm: What say we go get completely SLOSHED, just like forward in the good haven’t-happened-yet days!
Red Lion Ranger: I can’t right now, but if you go to my... hiding place, I’ll join you later.
FireStorm: Ok see you then, old friend.
The other Lion Rangers arrive on the scene.
FireStorm: Au revoir, adios, and ta-ta.
He turns and teleports away in a burst of flame.
Pink Lion Ranger: Drax, he got away.
Red Lion Ranger: So sue me.
He turns and walks down the street. The other Lion Rangers watch as he walks away.
Blue Lion Ranger: What crawled up his butt?
Black Lion Ranger: It’s not like we’ve not tried to be friendly.
Pink Lion Ranger: I’ve got news for you, we haven’t.
Red Lion Ranger: Would YOU REALLY want to be friends with him? I sure wouldn’t...
Setting: Somewhere on Mirinoi.
FireStorm walks through the forest, searching for something. He eventually comes across the stone column with the Fire Sabre energy shield. He grabs the Fire Sabre, dissipating the energy shield. The ground beneath him begins to shake and rumble. FireStorm steps back as a section of the jungle floor slides away, revealing a gleaming metal shaft. Smiling, he jumps down the metal shaft, which slides shut once he’s inside.

The Lion Rangers, minus Drax, are walking down the street.
Kendrix: I think we should make an effort to get to know Drax.
Kai: Are you insane?
Leo: I think your pregnancy is making you go loopy.
Kendrix: No, it’s not. I really think if we got to know him, we’d find out more about him.
Damon: Who’d want to know? He’s a loner.
Kendrix: If we get to know him, he might warm to us and be more of a team player.
Leo: You’ve got a point. If he worked WITH us, things would go more smoothly.
Kai: So, what did you have in mind?
Kendrix (smiling): A party!

FireStorm is seated in a HUGE armchair, holding a glass of motor oil in one hand and holding a book in the other. He has his feet on a coffee table. He is in a room, which can only be described as a lounge, but with futuristic technology. The doors slide open and Drax walks in.
Drax (smiling): Hello FireStorm. (Flicks his feet) Hello feet.
FireStorm: Hey.
Drax: Why did I have to get stranded here on this BACKWARD planet of SAVAGES?
FireStorm (smiling): Oh I don’t know: I saw the way you looked at the images of Maya back in the Time Force facility.
Drax: Ok, enough of that. What are you reading?
FireStorm: Time Force Operations manual.
Drax (confused): Why are you reading that?
FireStorm: I've read everything else you have, so why not?
Drax takes the glass of motor oil from FireStorm, sniffs it, then takes a sip.
Drax: Just the right amount of de-icer this time.
He hands the glass back to FireStorm, then sits in a chair opposite him and puts his feet on the coffee table.
FireStorm: Why don’t you just take off and head home?
Drax: I've been stuck here since the crash.
FireStorm (shocked): You mean this is the...?
Drax: Yes.
FireStorm: Man, it must have taken serious damage to down this baby.
Setting: Kai’s Quarters
Kai is busy baking a cake while the others are setting up the party things.
Damon: I wish Maya could be here for this.
Kai: Me too, but the doctor says she’s still out cold.
Leo: And you guys wonder why I don’t wanna be Drax’s friend...
Kendrix: Everyone deserves a second chance. Even Drax.
Damon: Does anyone here know how to contact Drax?
Kendrix: I've tried with the Morpher, but it says that Drax is out of range.
Leo: So we’ve done all this for nothing?
Kai: Not for nothing Leo. We can celebrate your upcoming fatherhood.

Drax and FireStorm are still in the lounge.
Drax: So, how’s the old gang?
FireStorm (smiling): Just as you remember them. In fact, Electrica was asking about you.

FireStorm: Here’s an idea: Why don’t I warp back and get them and have a real good slosh-up?

FireStorm gets up and walks to the middle of the room.
