Thunder Stricken. A up and coming website where you can view mature Power Ranger fans views of old series's, new series's, current series's episodes and more editorials. Editorials where they will express their views and so on.

At the minute however, there is no web address but taking some applications for people to become a writer/editorialist to get their own coloumn on Thunder Stricken. Now to apply, all you need to do is to give the title of your coloumn and an example editorial.. Now the coloum name 'Thunder Stricken' is already taken however by myself..

Also Once the site is up and running (url posted here) I will post my first editorial named 'Space Rangers : The Real Countdown to Destruction' .. The reason why they didn't explore more plots and whats happened to those villans when they didnt die and so on.. My second one to come will be named 'Forever Red : Whose The Real Red' and so on..

To view an example editoral you can view a Harry Potter one at http://www.mugglenet.com/editorials/thenorthtower/index.shtml

Excellent idea, I tried to start an editorial based PR site too. But it ended up being too much for me since I was already doing a pr archive site. Glad to see someone is working on a site focused on editorials and columns. I think it will be good for the fandom. Good luck to you.

I would like to apply. But I don't want to seem like a retard, so can i get some guidelines on what to do and what not to do? I was thinking 'The Trex Threat' for my coloumn title. thanks in advance.

Well its kinda difficult to give guidance out on what not to do and what not to do.. The best I could give would be use perfect english grammer (no txt talk) and write in detail when writing a coloumn, so that people can understand. But not writing too detailed and knowledgeable so that people can't understand.

The Trex Threat
Where's The Love?

As many Power Rangers fans know, the editors of the schow have seemed to throw out kissing, holding hands, or any affection at all. breifly in a few episodes within the past 3 seasons, we have seen little bits here and there, but no continuous sign of a relationship. The thing that got me the most was this season featured the return of executive producers Doug and Ann who worked on Power Rangers way back in the Zeo days.

Now I have recently downloaded and watched a few episodes of Zeo, and i saw more affection in the 3 part episode of 'There's No Buisness Like Snow Buisness' than Wild Force, Ninja Storm, and Dino Thunder combined. Tommy recieved the letter from Kim about the other guy, he almost kissed Heather on the slopes, and by the end of the episode, he was slow dancing with Kat. Not to mention the flash back of Tommy and Kim had several scenes of the two kissing and hanging all over each other.

From what I saw of Ninja Storm, Blake and Tori were pretty much a couple. Then at the end of 'Storm Before the Calm', Blake asked Tori if she wanted to come see one of his races. Hello? Couples usually do that all the time! And Dino Thunder seemed to upset me the most, what with the return of the player himself, Tommy. I mean we thought him and Hayley were together, then Elsa came in to the picture and stopped that story line. But by the end of 'Thunder Struck' she was with Anton. And Trent and Kira were a certainty until the end of the season when she apparently didn't have a date to the prom and Trent looked like he was flying solo.

So I look at it as we've gone from showing chemistry between two characters to merely impying it. Instead of one guy kissing a girl, he's just close to her more than normal. I personally like the old way because it didn't leave so many things open to question and it gave the show a sense of maturity despite it being a kids show. Maybe SPD will get back to basics in this category or maybe love is lost forever. For now i shall live in the past where characters seemed real and not a stereo type trying to learn life leasons that every other ranger learns in a seasons length of time.
