In ECO CoastBase, Captain Bates is having a cup of tea while making his daily work in his office. While having a dip, suddenly his secretary informs that a phone call has arrives, and it is Lieutenant Chris Connor from Star City Police Department (SCPD).
“SCPD? What do they want form ECO? Please don’t say it’s about Nick again,” Captain Bates asks himself, curious. “Captain Bates speaking.”
“Captain Bates, it’s Lieutenant Chris Connor speaking,” Lieutenant Connor introduces himself. “We need your help.”
Half an hour later, Captain Bates, Neutron Squad, and Dr. Sun Mei Li arrive at a hotel at the centre of the city. They entered the building with police around the area. The Neutrons begins to speculate what happened at the place.
“I think there’s a murder in this hotel,” says Andy.
“Stop your nonsense!” Edward warned. “We’ll see what happened first, OK!”
Then they take the elevator to get to the designated place; the 10th floor.
“Wow, just cops around here,” says Nick just after he steps out from the elevator.
Just after a short walk, they arrive at the room where they should meet Lieutenant Connor.
“Oh, Captain Bates, we’re so glad to see you here,” greets Lieutenant Connor when they see them at the doorstep and shakes his hand.
“Thank you but can you tell me what’s happening here?” asks Captain Bates for confirmation.
“Actually, a murder has just happened here last night,” he explains.
“I’ve told you so,” says Andy.
“Quiet, Andy,” warns Sarah slowly before elbowing his stomach.
“A murder? So why did you call us? Isn’t this is a police job?” asks Captain Bates curiously.
“Yes, but we have a problem here,” answers Lieutenant “this is the fifth case involves murder during intercourse.”
“Intercourse? Shouldn’t it be called…” Nick tries to make things clear, but even before he can finish his sentence his left foot was being slammed by Alexis.
“Ok, so?” captain Bates wants a more clear view.
“Usually, heart attack is the main factor of death during such act, but our autopsy reports show different things,” Lieutenant added.
“What thing?” Dr. Sun wants to know as he stands with his notebook and pen.
“All men die because of an unknown poison, and we think this has something to do with monsters, which is ECO’s expertise area.”
“Monsters? How sure are you?” Edward asks.
“We can find the partner’s fingerprints if she had run away, but here we found none of it,” Lieutenant says. “But instead, we found another person being here, and it is an unknown object or creature.”
“I got it, so what we can do?” Captain asks.
“Please help us analyse all evidence available, and see what you can do about it,” he told him.
“Alright. Dr. Sun, go there and pick all useful evidence available,” told Captain.
“Let me help you,” Andy offered his assistance.
Just as the others looking around, Nick and Alexis step out of the crime area, as they know that they are not adept on such things. While leaning on the wall at the corridor, the former felt so curious with the latter’s act on him.
“Why did you hit my foot then?” Nick asks.
“Is it wrong?” Alexis asks again.
“I just want to…”
“Come on Nick, I know how crazy are you on such things,” she says.
“What thing?” he wonders.
“You know, girls and … you know what I mean,” she explains.
“What’s wrong with that?” he asks.
“You should have and show more respect for females, they’re more than just an object of pleasure for males,” she says.
“You mean?”
“I don’t know how many girls you have slept with, but your deeds are very disgusting to me,” she says.
“Disgusting? Hey, that’s my personal matter, you shouldn’t interfere with that! You think that you’re pretty enough?” warns Nick before he walks away from her. His reaction makes her thinks deeply about what she just say, when looking to her face.
Meanwhile along the beachside of Star City, Mark and Adam are having a jogging session and they have running for about 45 minutes. Then they stop at the nearby bench to stretch off and warming-down.
“You’re shown some improvement, keep it up,” praised Adam.
“Thanks,” acknowledged Mark, before he stands up to watch people enjoying the beach in front of him.
“Sometimes, it is refreshing to play in beach, for once in a while, right Mark?” the former asks, but her realise something is wrong with his protégé. “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine, but something bad is down there,” he says.
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t know what it is, but it is dangerous.” Mark voiced his concerns.
After a couple of hours at the hotel, Neutron Squad, Captain Bates, and Dr. Sun finally returned to CoastBase. While the latter goes directly to the lab to start her work, the former two entered the operation room to have a rest.
“A bizarre case,” says Edward. “What’s next?”
“We will investigate this case,” commands Captain Bates “codenamed Black Widow,” he added, before putting the file on the table.
Then they returned home to Surfers Hill mansion after a tired and later that night, Nick is having his time in a pub at the outskirts of the city. While sitting in front of the bar table, his eye caught on a girl that sits not far from him. Unfortunately, she already has a man, so he can do noting about it. While having a dip of Pepsi with melted vanilla ice cream- shaken, not stirred- Mark suddenly sits besides him, much to his surprise since his elder rarely spends time in such places.
“What’re you doing here?” the former asks.
“Nothing,” the latter briefly answers “why, surprised?”
“Very much,”
“Drink, sir?” the waitress asks Mark.
“Pepsi, in bottle please,” he makes an order. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing really, just because of that girl,” Nick pointed to that particular girl.
“What’s up with her?” Mark asks.
“I wish I can have her now,” he answers.
“Stop dreaming,” the elder one told his brother “I know this is a sleeping time but don’t tell me you are sleeping with your eyes open.”
“I know…”
“Thanks,” Mark says to the waitress as he gets his drink.
“… But you know, she is so hot!” Nick stressed.
“Say that again,” he wonders.
“Come on, I’m serious,” he tries to confirm his desire.
“Yeah, sure, whatever,” he says, before paying the drinks not only for him but also for his brother.
“Thanks for the treat,” Nick thanked his elder for the drink. At least, he did not have to spend some money this time.
Not long after his brother goes, the gal also moves away from the pub with her man. Nick can only watch them go. In heart, he wished he could have someone like her to become his partner.
Later that night, the girl and her partner enter a hotel room. And of course they want to get “dirty” that night together.
“Can you wait for me, I want to go to the washroom to remove my clothes,” she says while being kissed in his arms.
“Make it here. I want to see you getting naked in front of my eyes,” he answered.
“No… I want you to get ready first,” she answered back with a sexy voice.
“Ok, then.”
Afterwards, she enters the washroom while the male begins to undress himself. While he just has his jeans left, suddenly the girl screamed loudly. He quickly opens the door, and in a flash, something strikes him at the neck.
At the same time in Surfers Hill, Alexis goes to the kitchen, where he meet Jeffrey busy cleaning the place.
“Well lovely lady, what are you doing here this late night?” the old man asks with a smile. “You should sleep by now. It’s not good to sleep late.”
“Nothing Jeffrey, just to have some supper,” she answers as she takes out a loaf of bread and a small bowl of tuna mixture from the refrigerator before sitting in front of a bar table not far from him. She looks so moody, might be because of a tired day. Whatever it is, Jeffrey instantly noticed it.
“Is there something bother you, young lady?” he asks.
“Not really… well, there is,” she admits. “Am I ugly?”
“Why you ask that?” he surprised. “You’re so pretty, I’m sure many guys are crazy for you.”
“Then why Nick says that I’m ugly? Why I never have a boyfriend until now?” she asks.
“Sometimes, we cannot wait for something to come, we need to find it,” he give his thought. “But when we find it, we refuse to accept it. Tell me, how many times you turned down dating invitation since your school days?”
“A couple of times, and I turned them all down,” she answered.
“About Nick, it is natural for him. He never found a true love since a long time ago,” he added.
“True love? What do you mean?” she wonders as she takes a bite of her sandwich.
“Since school times, he always be a devoted lover, but girls then and now only want to hanging around, so he changes his view towards girls,” he explained. “But you’re the exception.”
“He always sees girls as an object of desire and pleasure….” Alexis says.
“As the result of the change,” Jeffrey added.
“No wonder.”
Next day in CoastBase, Dr Sun is analysing some tissue he obtained from the dead body, just to look if there is anything useful from them. Shortly afterwards Andy enters the lab.
“How’s it going?” Andy asks.
“I got nothing so far, but I got something here,” she reply.
“What is it?” he wonders.
“The poison… it is similar to the one used by tarantula spiders,” she shows an extracted liquid from the sample in a packet.
“So now we’re facing a giant spider, equal to the codename given for this case,” he says, before Sarah enters the room in a rush.
“Dr. Sun, Andy, we have a new case,” Sarah says, and both of them quickly follows her out.
In the hotel room, a man is found dead on the bed, and this time the police has managed to found his partner. While taking over details of events from her, Neutron Squad and Dr. Sun arrived at the place. While the latter quickly get into work, Nick instantly recognised the girl. She is the same person he saw at the pub last night.
“Hi,” Nick says after the police finished taking details from her. “May I know your name?”
“Carmen,” she says but she seems trying to hide her feeling.
“I’m sorry over what happened,” he says. “Anyway, I’m Nick from ECO.”
“Nice to meet you,” she responded.
“Can you tell me what happened last night?” Nick asks, and she just remains silent. “Oh, I’m sorry. You must be in shock right now.”
“No, it’s alright,” she denies, but later pay tribute to his dead boyfriend. “He fights for me. I really indebted to him all my life.”
“Now you’re under the protection of ECO,” Nick assured.
“What’s he talking about?” Andy asks Sarah. “We don’t have any witness protection programme as far as I know.”
“So now, where’s your home?” he asks.
“I don’t have any home,” she answers.
“If then, let’s follow me back to Surfers Hill,” he says.
“Excuse me?” Sarah almost cannot believe over what she recently heard.
“Come on, let’s go.”
Then both of them walk out from the room, and Nick’s word causes so much shock among the rest of Neutron Squad. Plus, he said it without their consent especially Edward.
“What the hell he think he’s doing?” he says afterwards.
What they did not noticed is that from the building across the road, Mark is watching them. Just after they leave, he also left the building heading to his own direction.
Back in CoastBase, Alexis cannot hide his anger over what Nick has done. After all, he did it only for his pleasure.
“Sometimes I think I want to shoot him with my Neon Buster,” she says angrily in the café, during the lunchtime with the other three Neutrons.
“I also think the same,” Edward agrees, but if he had it his way, he wants to kick Nick as soon as he is on his sight.
“Captain has just granted him a two-day leave to protect that girl,” Sarah explained the latest news she heard directly from Captain Bates.
“Whatever it is, we cannot change him,” Edward admits. “He is a James Bond among us.”
Later that evening, they returned home, but they get a rude shock when discovered that Nick and Carmen has just gone out together to have a dinner at Star City. Especially for Alexis, she cannot stand with her feeling any longer. She needs to do something, unless she will loose something that she dreamed for a very long time.
In the same pub, Nick is sitting with Carmen on the same table, and they are having a nice drink together after the dinner.
“How’s the dinner?” he asks.
“Good, thanks for it,” she responded.
“You’re so beautiful tonight,” he says.
“Really? Thanks, I’m really flattered,” she thanked Nick for the adoration.
Then shortly, Nick spotted Mark sitting in front of the bar table not for from them. He quickly goes to him, and after a short talk, they came together to the table.
“Mark, this is Carmen,” Nick introduces his brother to the girl. “Carmen, this is my brother, Mark.”
“Hi, Nice to meet you” Carmen gives her hand, and Mark slowly gives his to shake her hand. Somehow, his face quickly changed as soon as they touched. He somewhat curious with the feeling he gets.
“Anything wrong?” Nick asks his brother.
“No, not really,” Mark quickly get his hand off from Carmen’s hand.
Shortly afterwards, Alexis turned up suddenly. And she quickly takes the glass in front of Carmen and pours its content on the girl. Mark quickly holds her just is she gets crazier, while Nick helps Carmen cleans the mess on her shirt. All eyes are on the incident right now.
“Are you alright, Carmen?” Nick asks. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“She didn’t love you as much as I am,” she confessed, and shortly, the other three Neutrons turned up at the place.
“Calm down, Alexis,” Andy told her.
“Well… let’s talk outside,” Nick quickly grabs Alexis at her arms and pulls her out of the pub.
“I never see her so furious like that before,” Edward says afterwards when both of them were lost from sight. At the same time, all customers in the pub continue their business as usual.
At the outside, Nick and Alexis are having an argument over her action in the pub then.
“I want an explanation,” he demanded.
“Explanation? Yes, I love you!” she emotionally says.
“You love me?” he surprised.
“I have a feeling from you since Day One. I don’t want to admit it but the feeling is too strong. I don’t want to loose you!” she admits her feeling.
“You’re crazy,” he says. “I think you should find another guys, and hanging around. A girl like you should have many boyfriends around and…”
Suddenly, Alexis slaps his face, and starts crying.
“That’s enough,” she says before running away from the scene. Nick holds his face wondering what just hits him.
Later at Surfers Hill mansion, Alexis is crying alone on her bed. The door is completely locked and the others including Captain Bates and Jeffrey can only talk to her from the outside.
“Open the door,” Sarah pleaded. “Alexis, please. Open the door,”
“Leave me alone,” she responded with a crying voice. “Just leave me alone!”
“Let’s leave her,” says Jeffrey. “She needs some peace and quiet right now, not words or noise.”
Slowly, they left the door and return to respective rooms. Alexis herself, remembers some of her moments with her elusive love.
Among the memories, are when they are having a vacation at Wattage Mountain, throwing snowballs around and towards one another as well in a delightful evening. Then, comes the moment when they have a lunch together with the rest of teammates, especially when they sits besides each other. Her treatment towards him in the process by putting some tomato ketchup into his plate when his hands are full comes into her mind.
Moments in Ranger duty are also not easily forgotten. She still remembers the first time they take control of their respective Neutron Zords, which are an airplane Observer Jet 3 and a helicopter Whirlwind 5. Their link and partnership has saved each other’s live so many times on the air. In fact, Alexis herself acknowledged Nick’s contribution in helping her adapting to the flying machine.
Then came the memories when they battle monsters on the ground. Sometimes when he is about to be destroyed, she came into rescue and in equal numbers, he done the same thing on her. Those memories slowly take Alexis to sleep, and of course she is sleeping with her eyes crying for her love just as the pouring rain outside.
Meanwhile, Nick is taking Carmen somewhere with his car. Driving in the rain, he needs to be careful because he did not want to spoil something special that he arranges specially for both of them.
At the same time, Dr. Sun is working hard in the IsleBase lab. For sure, she is working something specifically for Neutron Squad. She looks so tired and sleepy but rather than taking a break, she drinks a coffee to make her stay awake because she knows sooner rather than later, Neutron Squad will need new weapons to beat the monster.
Next day, the Neutrons came to CoastBase for daily duty, but somehow Nick did not report himself back. Everyone wait for him but even his shadow did not show up.
“Who cares?” Alexis says when she was asked whether she has any idea where did he go.
Somewhere later that night in a mountain vacation area, Nick and Carmen is about to get dirty together. The latter slowly enters the washroom to undress herself, while he is patiently waiting without opening his own.
Suddenly, a bang happened in the room, and Nick is curious to find out what happened. In a flash, something attacks him at the neck as soon as he opened the door.
At Port Voyage, Mark and Adam is having some soccer training with the former juggling the ball while the latter holds the stopwatch to measure the time. Also suddenly, Mark felt something bad is happening from his sixth sense.
“What happened?” his mentor asks.
“Monster…” he briefly says, before jumping over the corridor, transform into Ace Ranger V2, and boards LunaZord to get into action. Adam meanwhile, quickly gets downstairs to the corridor to the basement to monitor the progress of his prodigy.
At the same time, the rest of Neutron Squad is having a rest after a hard work at Surfers Hill. While watching the TV, Jeffrey called Edward, saying that there is a phone call for him, from ECO CoastBase. He instantly gets himself on the line, and soon he gets back to the living room with a bad news.
“Emergency, it involves Nick,” Edward says.
“Nick? What happen to him?” Sarah asks.
“Jessica told us that they received a call from a vacation area somewhere outside this city, and a witness saw that Nick is being attacked by a monster in a room,” he explained.
“Who’s the witness? Is it Carmen?” Sarah asks again.
“No, the witness is a man,” he added.
“He’s in danger, let’s go,” Andy says, but as the three climbed the stairs, they turned to Alexis who is still on the couch. She looks so unease from her face, especially when she heard the news.
“Alexis, are you coming with us?” Edward asks his anxious friend.
“I don’t know… I’m scared,” Alexis says as she admits her concern.
“You should go, he will appreciate your presence,” Jeffrey encourages her. “Don’t let your feeling undermine you.”
“But if he dies…”
“Don’t go that far, we need to save him now,” Sarah tries to calm her down.
After a while, finally Alexis climbs the stairs and they quickly changed their clothes to get into the scene as fast as possible.
In the frenetic moment, Carmen has managed to do just enough to wear her jeans and shirt back before running out of the hotel room. She looks so panic that she only run with bare feet all the way. While running in a garden in the night, she gets a rude shock.
“Stop,” a voice suddenly comes out.
“Who’s there?” Carmen anxiously wants to know. “Show me who you are!”
“Why Force Of Destruction sends you?” Mark slowly walks out of the dark, showing himself to her.
“What nonsense are you talking about?” she asks him.
“You’re behind all murders in the hotel rooms, you do all the kill yourself,” he gives the fact. “I arrive at the scene before police did, look at all evidence, and it leads to you.”
“Yes, I did the kill!” Carmen finally admits. “Humans always lost to their desire and never use their mind completely. All men that I kill… they let themselves overwhelmed by their desire to sleep with me, they never know that those thing can lead them to destruction!”
“What?” Mark cannot believe over what he just heard.
“Just like you, your desire to get revenge for your parents has lead you to destroying enemies at the expense of people around you. In the end…” she says as she getting closer and walks round him.
“…I lost my power,” he admits his first experience as Ace Ranger whilst he is standing still at his position.
“Desire only make humans weak, and if they let themselves being controlled by it…” she leans herself to his chest and gently touched it “… they didn’t deserve to live at all.”
While Carmen’s hands are getting lower down the chest, suddenly Mark sends a powerful punch at her stomach from both hands, enough to make her sliding away in distance. He takes a step forward while looking sharply to her.
“It may be true, but desire needs to be controlled by mind,” he says. “I still have it now, but I know how to control it unlike before.”
“You just never listen to my words, aren’t you?” she recovers back form the fall.
“All men that you killed is just college boys,” Mark gives his point. “They’re not mature enough to control themselves.”
“Then what’s the different with you? You’re just as young as them,” Carmen angrily asks.
“Experience makes me better than before, only that separates me and them,” he says.
“Really? Then let’s see how good you are at fighting!” she says, before releasing two sticky spider silks from her wrists to hold him.
Shocked by the action, Mark instantly pulls back at full strength, thus pulling Carmen as well at a fierce speed. He took that chance to send a right foot kick to bounce her back. Later, he spins her a couple of times to loosen up the thread and thus, throwing her hardly and highly to the wall.
Not impressed by the attack, she sticks herself on the wall like a spider, much to the surprise of him. Then she jumps towards him, and he took that chance to do the same from the ground, and both clashes on the air.
At the roadside, the oncoming Neutron Squad noticed the fight from their SUV.
“Isn’t that Mark?” Andy says.
“And Carmen. Why they’re fighting?” Sarah asks.
“Let’s find out,” Edward responded. He quickly stops the SUV and all of them quickly get out to the scene.
On the air, Mark and Carmen exchanging punches and boots towards each other. However, in this case, the latter has better ability and in the end, the former was thrown away when they landed on the ground.
“Are you alright?” Edward helps Mark to recover back as the four Neutrons arrive. “Where’s Nick?”
“He’s fine,” Carmen speaks out.
“What you’ve done to him?” Sarah demands to know.
“That poor little boy gets a piece of my blood, and it turns to be poison in his body!” she arrogantly says. “Now he is upstairs, rest in peace.”
“Nick…” Alexis cannot believe what she just heard, and suddenly she drops on his knees before crying out loud “NICK!”
“Now let’s see whether his friends want to join him as well!” Carmen says before she screams. Her voice also changed, and her body evolved into a spider. As the process completed, she is known as Black Widow.
Still in the state of shock, Alexis stands up and steps up in front of Edward in facing the monster. She knows that Nick is no longer around, but they need to carry on.
“For Nick,” she says to her friends after they show off their morphers, and they quickly transformed into their respective Ranger forms.
They instantly pouring forward and attacked the monster at full strength. However, Black Widow managed to hold their challenges. Not only that, they also were tied together when they regrouped in a weak condition.
“Now you’re about to face the same fate as that poor boy!” Black Widow says.
“Dream off!” Edward angrily warned it.
“Oh yes. You’re about to face it now,” it responded.
“Say that again,” suddenly an unknown voice came out from behind. When it turned back, it gets a kick on the face. It was from Nick, and he is still alive.
“Nick! Thank God you’re here,” says Andy gratefully.
“You’re alive,” Alexis also cannot believe who is saving them.
“How did you survive? You should be dead by now!” Black Widow angrily wants to know.
“Actually…” just after he releases them, Nick tear off plastic layer on his face that protects him from the poison. That causes so much surprise, since the plastic was unnoticed by it for a very long time. “I know you’re behind the murders, because when ECO steps in, suddenly you appears. And I take your fingerprints after each drink; its no human fingerprints.”
“What?” the monster shocked.
“Now let’s fight brawn with brawn,” Nick says as he appears his Diamond Morpher, and he transforms into Diamond Blue Neutron Ranger. Then his friends joined him and lined up to fight the beast.
They go forward to attack with more people, but Black Widow still managed to hold their challenges and later, making the counter. Mark was the first to be thrown away in the process, followed by Andy, Sarah, Alexis, Nick, and Edward. Then, it approaches the Neutron Squad bunch, in order to destroy them first with its spider choke.
But it did not noticed that Mark, who is being thrown to the opposite way to them, is recovering behind it. Then he shifts his Spark Baton into Spark Sword, and energised it with full power. In a dash, he go towards the beast, and sends Spark Slash attack before landing in front of his friends.
The Neutrons instantly recover afterwards and they formed combined Plasma Gun with Neon Buster to form Plasma Rifle. They lined up and shoot a combined shoot to destroy the beast. At the same time, Mark sends his Spark Crusher attack to the beast, and those two attacks instantly kills the monster.
“Are you alright, Nick?” Alexis says as he finds his fellow Ranger falls down a bit.
“Nothing, I’m just tired,” Nick tries to calm her.
But they cannot relax yet, since Black Widow suddenly grows up to become a huge monster. The Neutrons waste no time calling their Aero Force Zords and form Aero Force MegaZord, while Mark boards his LunaZord, which has been landed at the nearby forest. He shifts it into Luna WarriorZord.
Then the two Zords fly towards Black Widow at a ferocious speed to pounce it, but it was brainy enough to read the game and shoots spider silk towards them. It effectively halts their view, and they shortly crash down to the ground.
They stand up whilst still struggling to remove the silk around, and the monster quickly took that chance to take a slash on them. It did not take a long time before both Zords stumble down, and completely in damage.
“Man, we’re down!” Andy warns during the fall, but it was too late for them. The Neutrons instantly abandon their MegaZord, but Mark did not want to do the same and still stay inside his Zord, hoping there are some hope of recovery. They run away from the scene, and instantly contact IsleBase for help.
“Dr. Sun, Aero Force Zords are down,” Edward gives his report via the ECOmmunicator. “Please send Zords here.”
“Coming right away,” Dr. Sun acknowledges the request. “Zords Bay, reload MegaLoader with InsectorZords.”
“Got it,” an operator from Zords Bay received the order and a giant hoist transferred a box into MegaLoader. After the process finished, the bay was opened and TransXpress is already waiting for it. Then the two forms TranXpress CarrierZord, and it quickly go to the designated place where the Rangers are waiting.
Meanwhile, Mark and his Luna WarriorZord managed to get rid the spider silk around and do just enough to hold a smash from Black Widow. But the monster instantly smashed the Zord using another tentacle, and continues to do so a couple of times.
Just in time, TransXpress CarrierZord arrives not far from the scene, and the Neutrons know they need to act fast.
“Come on, I don’t think Mark can hold any longer,” Edward encourages his friends.
“Ok, let’s…hey, this is not Savage Zords,” surprised Sarah when he sits in the cockpit.
“You’re right, this is not Neutron Zords either,” Nick admits.
“Rangers, this is your new InsectorZords,” Dr. Sun says via the communication line from IsleBase.
“InsectorZords?” wonders Andy.
“Yes, designed for fast ground fighting,” she explained. “Edward, you will take control of Beetle Zord 1. Andy, you’re Mantis Zord 2. Nick, you will pilot Hornet Zord 3. Sarah, you get Bee Zord 4 and Alexis, you’re Butterfly Zord 5.”
“Insects…” Andy imagined those mentioned creature in his head.
“As far as I know, insects are foods for spiders,” Alexis says.
“We’ll see whether that’s true or not,” Edward responded. “Let’s go!”
Then, those new Zords steps out from MegaLoader, with three on air and two on the ground. They headed instantly to the scene, and Edward gives a rude surprise to Black Widow by ramming its back while it smashes Luna WarriorZord.
“What the… insects?” it looks so shocked with what it just seen.
“Surprised to see us?” Andy says from the cockpit.
“It’s been a long time since I didn’t have insects in my menu,” it responded angrily.
“Really? Take this!” Sarah quickly guided her new Zord’s sting towards the beast and smashes it at full speed. It instantly being knocked down, and just after it recovered back, Alexis has wait at its front.
She waves the wings of her Zord to create a massive turbulent, and it was able to sustain the monster’s resistance. Then her task has finished, and she handed it to Nick.
Nick uses the agility of his Zord to make some dummies on Black Widow, and makes things difficult for the monster, since it takes time to stabilise itself from the turbulence. After a while, he opens up the armoury and gives a couple of rocket shoots to the beast.
That strike sends Black Widow a couple of steps back, but it does not stop Andy to step up the challenge. The monster tries to slams his Zord, but he managed to hold the smash and instead, he gives a slash in return. That has weakened it enough, and the Neutrons regrouped back not far from it.
“Rangers, use the same way as before to form Insector MegaZord,” Dr. Sun told them.
“Got it!” Edward acknowledges the instruction, and they instantly execute it.
Beginning with Beetle Zord 1 forming the leg parts to lower body, its horn was disassembled in the process. At the same time on the air, Bee Zord 4 folded its wings and formed the upper body side before being attached to Hornet Zord 3 and Mantis Zord 2 that act as right and left hand respectively. Then Butterfly Zord 5 combined at its back, before landing on the awaiting Beetle Zord1 on the ground. The transformation was finished with the right hand of the new Zord holding the extended beetle horn as a lance. Now Insector MegaZord is ready.
“Good but I’m not impressed,” declares Black Widow.
“You better think again,” Edward warns, and the monster quickly dashed towards them to attack.
It slashes them a couple of times, but the quick reaction from the Zord helped them to avoid every single of it. Then in a sole attacking move, they counter back by using two long claws attached at the left hand, courtesy of sharp front legs from Mantis Zord 2.
That has weakened the monster enough, and they took that chance to finish it for good. They pointed the lace to it, and shortly the wings behind waves strongly to create enough thrust.
“Sting Strike!” the Neutrons say together, and the Zord suddenly catapulted forward. When that happened, Black Widow was unable to move anywhere and it have been destroyed in a devastating crash.
Next day at Port Voyage, Mark is sitting on the chair in the basement thinking over what Black Widow said about humans desire. He gave it a deep thought since he has the first hand experience about the consequences when desire controls everything. Then he takes a look at the photo of his parents, and ponders how his obsession on revenge has cost them dearly. At the same time, he took a dip of a bottle of Pepsi in his hand while do the thinking.
At the same time in CoastBase, Nick has just undergone a medical check-up before entering operation room to resume his duty. But when he enters the place, he founds Alexis also on her way out at the doorstep. And she did not look happy to see him again as she stares angrily on his eyes.
“Oh no, here she goes again,” Edward says cynically.
And he is right, when she instantly sends a slap on Nick’s face. He looks so guilty afterwards.
“That’s for cheating and insulting me last time,” Alexis says.
“Ok, I’m sorry but I didn’t mean to…” Nick tries to finish his apology sentence, but suddenly she gives her a deep French kiss on his lips. Her antics have raised some eyebrows in the room.
“Now that’s what I say ‘Oh no’,” says Andy as he also sees it.
“And that’s for…” Nick wants to know.
“For saving my life. I should do it a long time ago, but…” she says, before it was cut short by a return kiss from him. Again, there are some raised eyebrows.
“Wow….” Jessica opens up her mouth on the spot.
“You don’t have to do that. And who’s said that I only like blondes?” Nick says after the kiss, and she looks so happy. “Anyway, where should we start?”
“I don’t know. Suggestion?” Alexis asks.
“A dinner tonight, in Luciano’s Pasta & Pizza?” he suggests.
“Italian… I like it, but for now what about a lunch?” she says.
“It’s a bit too early for that,” he responded.
“Come on, table for two,” she added.
“Ok,” he says, and they walked out together afterwards. But shortly Nick reversed back to the room. “Anything to order guys?”
“No. Enjoy yourself,” Edward says to him, and he disappears from the sight when the door closed.
“The greatest love story of ECO has just begun,” says Andy.
“I hope so,” added Sarah, and they continue their work as usual.
At the corridor on the way to the café, Nick begins to hold Alexis’ hand firmly like he never let her go. Now both of them has found a true love they have been searching for a very long time.

Sneak Peak: Sarah gets into trouble when his grandparents come to the town to visit her, but equally unknown to her they came over because of another important matter. At the same time, people at Surfers Hill are busy for wedding preparations of Captain Bates and Daniella, Alexis’ mother.
“SCPD? What do they want form ECO? Please don’t say it’s about Nick again,” Captain Bates asks himself, curious. “Captain Bates speaking.”
“Captain Bates, it’s Lieutenant Chris Connor speaking,” Lieutenant Connor introduces himself. “We need your help.”
Half an hour later, Captain Bates, Neutron Squad, and Dr. Sun Mei Li arrive at a hotel at the centre of the city. They entered the building with police around the area. The Neutrons begins to speculate what happened at the place.
“I think there’s a murder in this hotel,” says Andy.
“Stop your nonsense!” Edward warned. “We’ll see what happened first, OK!”
Then they take the elevator to get to the designated place; the 10th floor.
“Wow, just cops around here,” says Nick just after he steps out from the elevator.
Just after a short walk, they arrive at the room where they should meet Lieutenant Connor.
“Oh, Captain Bates, we’re so glad to see you here,” greets Lieutenant Connor when they see them at the doorstep and shakes his hand.
“Thank you but can you tell me what’s happening here?” asks Captain Bates for confirmation.
“Actually, a murder has just happened here last night,” he explains.
“I’ve told you so,” says Andy.
“Quiet, Andy,” warns Sarah slowly before elbowing his stomach.
“A murder? So why did you call us? Isn’t this is a police job?” asks Captain Bates curiously.
“Yes, but we have a problem here,” answers Lieutenant “this is the fifth case involves murder during intercourse.”
“Intercourse? Shouldn’t it be called…” Nick tries to make things clear, but even before he can finish his sentence his left foot was being slammed by Alexis.
“Ok, so?” captain Bates wants a more clear view.
“Usually, heart attack is the main factor of death during such act, but our autopsy reports show different things,” Lieutenant added.
“What thing?” Dr. Sun wants to know as he stands with his notebook and pen.
“All men die because of an unknown poison, and we think this has something to do with monsters, which is ECO’s expertise area.”
“Monsters? How sure are you?” Edward asks.
“We can find the partner’s fingerprints if she had run away, but here we found none of it,” Lieutenant says. “But instead, we found another person being here, and it is an unknown object or creature.”
“I got it, so what we can do?” Captain asks.
“Please help us analyse all evidence available, and see what you can do about it,” he told him.
“Alright. Dr. Sun, go there and pick all useful evidence available,” told Captain.
“Let me help you,” Andy offered his assistance.
Just as the others looking around, Nick and Alexis step out of the crime area, as they know that they are not adept on such things. While leaning on the wall at the corridor, the former felt so curious with the latter’s act on him.
“Why did you hit my foot then?” Nick asks.
“Is it wrong?” Alexis asks again.
“I just want to…”
“Come on Nick, I know how crazy are you on such things,” she says.
“What thing?” he wonders.
“You know, girls and … you know what I mean,” she explains.
“What’s wrong with that?” he asks.
“You should have and show more respect for females, they’re more than just an object of pleasure for males,” she says.
“You mean?”
“I don’t know how many girls you have slept with, but your deeds are very disgusting to me,” she says.
“Disgusting? Hey, that’s my personal matter, you shouldn’t interfere with that! You think that you’re pretty enough?” warns Nick before he walks away from her. His reaction makes her thinks deeply about what she just say, when looking to her face.
Meanwhile along the beachside of Star City, Mark and Adam are having a jogging session and they have running for about 45 minutes. Then they stop at the nearby bench to stretch off and warming-down.
“You’re shown some improvement, keep it up,” praised Adam.
“Thanks,” acknowledged Mark, before he stands up to watch people enjoying the beach in front of him.
“Sometimes, it is refreshing to play in beach, for once in a while, right Mark?” the former asks, but her realise something is wrong with his protégé. “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine, but something bad is down there,” he says.
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t know what it is, but it is dangerous.” Mark voiced his concerns.
After a couple of hours at the hotel, Neutron Squad, Captain Bates, and Dr. Sun finally returned to CoastBase. While the latter goes directly to the lab to start her work, the former two entered the operation room to have a rest.
“A bizarre case,” says Edward. “What’s next?”
“We will investigate this case,” commands Captain Bates “codenamed Black Widow,” he added, before putting the file on the table.
Then they returned home to Surfers Hill mansion after a tired and later that night, Nick is having his time in a pub at the outskirts of the city. While sitting in front of the bar table, his eye caught on a girl that sits not far from him. Unfortunately, she already has a man, so he can do noting about it. While having a dip of Pepsi with melted vanilla ice cream- shaken, not stirred- Mark suddenly sits besides him, much to his surprise since his elder rarely spends time in such places.
“What’re you doing here?” the former asks.
“Nothing,” the latter briefly answers “why, surprised?”
“Very much,”
“Drink, sir?” the waitress asks Mark.
“Pepsi, in bottle please,” he makes an order. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing really, just because of that girl,” Nick pointed to that particular girl.
“What’s up with her?” Mark asks.
“I wish I can have her now,” he answers.
“Stop dreaming,” the elder one told his brother “I know this is a sleeping time but don’t tell me you are sleeping with your eyes open.”
“I know…”
“Thanks,” Mark says to the waitress as he gets his drink.
“… But you know, she is so hot!” Nick stressed.
“Say that again,” he wonders.
“Come on, I’m serious,” he tries to confirm his desire.
“Yeah, sure, whatever,” he says, before paying the drinks not only for him but also for his brother.
“Thanks for the treat,” Nick thanked his elder for the drink. At least, he did not have to spend some money this time.
Not long after his brother goes, the gal also moves away from the pub with her man. Nick can only watch them go. In heart, he wished he could have someone like her to become his partner.
Later that night, the girl and her partner enter a hotel room. And of course they want to get “dirty” that night together.
“Can you wait for me, I want to go to the washroom to remove my clothes,” she says while being kissed in his arms.
“Make it here. I want to see you getting naked in front of my eyes,” he answered.
“No… I want you to get ready first,” she answered back with a sexy voice.
“Ok, then.”
Afterwards, she enters the washroom while the male begins to undress himself. While he just has his jeans left, suddenly the girl screamed loudly. He quickly opens the door, and in a flash, something strikes him at the neck.
At the same time in Surfers Hill, Alexis goes to the kitchen, where he meet Jeffrey busy cleaning the place.
“Well lovely lady, what are you doing here this late night?” the old man asks with a smile. “You should sleep by now. It’s not good to sleep late.”
“Nothing Jeffrey, just to have some supper,” she answers as she takes out a loaf of bread and a small bowl of tuna mixture from the refrigerator before sitting in front of a bar table not far from him. She looks so moody, might be because of a tired day. Whatever it is, Jeffrey instantly noticed it.
“Is there something bother you, young lady?” he asks.
“Not really… well, there is,” she admits. “Am I ugly?”
“Why you ask that?” he surprised. “You’re so pretty, I’m sure many guys are crazy for you.”
“Then why Nick says that I’m ugly? Why I never have a boyfriend until now?” she asks.
“Sometimes, we cannot wait for something to come, we need to find it,” he give his thought. “But when we find it, we refuse to accept it. Tell me, how many times you turned down dating invitation since your school days?”
“A couple of times, and I turned them all down,” she answered.
“About Nick, it is natural for him. He never found a true love since a long time ago,” he added.
“True love? What do you mean?” she wonders as she takes a bite of her sandwich.
“Since school times, he always be a devoted lover, but girls then and now only want to hanging around, so he changes his view towards girls,” he explained. “But you’re the exception.”
“He always sees girls as an object of desire and pleasure….” Alexis says.
“As the result of the change,” Jeffrey added.
“No wonder.”
Next day in CoastBase, Dr Sun is analysing some tissue he obtained from the dead body, just to look if there is anything useful from them. Shortly afterwards Andy enters the lab.
“How’s it going?” Andy asks.
“I got nothing so far, but I got something here,” she reply.
“What is it?” he wonders.
“The poison… it is similar to the one used by tarantula spiders,” she shows an extracted liquid from the sample in a packet.
“So now we’re facing a giant spider, equal to the codename given for this case,” he says, before Sarah enters the room in a rush.
“Dr. Sun, Andy, we have a new case,” Sarah says, and both of them quickly follows her out.
In the hotel room, a man is found dead on the bed, and this time the police has managed to found his partner. While taking over details of events from her, Neutron Squad and Dr. Sun arrived at the place. While the latter quickly get into work, Nick instantly recognised the girl. She is the same person he saw at the pub last night.
“Hi,” Nick says after the police finished taking details from her. “May I know your name?”
“Carmen,” she says but she seems trying to hide her feeling.
“I’m sorry over what happened,” he says. “Anyway, I’m Nick from ECO.”
“Nice to meet you,” she responded.
“Can you tell me what happened last night?” Nick asks, and she just remains silent. “Oh, I’m sorry. You must be in shock right now.”
“No, it’s alright,” she denies, but later pay tribute to his dead boyfriend. “He fights for me. I really indebted to him all my life.”
“Now you’re under the protection of ECO,” Nick assured.
“What’s he talking about?” Andy asks Sarah. “We don’t have any witness protection programme as far as I know.”
“So now, where’s your home?” he asks.
“I don’t have any home,” she answers.
“If then, let’s follow me back to Surfers Hill,” he says.
“Excuse me?” Sarah almost cannot believe over what she recently heard.
“Come on, let’s go.”
Then both of them walk out from the room, and Nick’s word causes so much shock among the rest of Neutron Squad. Plus, he said it without their consent especially Edward.
“What the hell he think he’s doing?” he says afterwards.
What they did not noticed is that from the building across the road, Mark is watching them. Just after they leave, he also left the building heading to his own direction.
Back in CoastBase, Alexis cannot hide his anger over what Nick has done. After all, he did it only for his pleasure.
“Sometimes I think I want to shoot him with my Neon Buster,” she says angrily in the café, during the lunchtime with the other three Neutrons.
“I also think the same,” Edward agrees, but if he had it his way, he wants to kick Nick as soon as he is on his sight.
“Captain has just granted him a two-day leave to protect that girl,” Sarah explained the latest news she heard directly from Captain Bates.
“Whatever it is, we cannot change him,” Edward admits. “He is a James Bond among us.”
Later that evening, they returned home, but they get a rude shock when discovered that Nick and Carmen has just gone out together to have a dinner at Star City. Especially for Alexis, she cannot stand with her feeling any longer. She needs to do something, unless she will loose something that she dreamed for a very long time.
In the same pub, Nick is sitting with Carmen on the same table, and they are having a nice drink together after the dinner.
“How’s the dinner?” he asks.
“Good, thanks for it,” she responded.
“You’re so beautiful tonight,” he says.
“Really? Thanks, I’m really flattered,” she thanked Nick for the adoration.
Then shortly, Nick spotted Mark sitting in front of the bar table not for from them. He quickly goes to him, and after a short talk, they came together to the table.
“Mark, this is Carmen,” Nick introduces his brother to the girl. “Carmen, this is my brother, Mark.”
“Hi, Nice to meet you” Carmen gives her hand, and Mark slowly gives his to shake her hand. Somehow, his face quickly changed as soon as they touched. He somewhat curious with the feeling he gets.
“Anything wrong?” Nick asks his brother.
“No, not really,” Mark quickly get his hand off from Carmen’s hand.
Shortly afterwards, Alexis turned up suddenly. And she quickly takes the glass in front of Carmen and pours its content on the girl. Mark quickly holds her just is she gets crazier, while Nick helps Carmen cleans the mess on her shirt. All eyes are on the incident right now.
“Are you alright, Carmen?” Nick asks. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“She didn’t love you as much as I am,” she confessed, and shortly, the other three Neutrons turned up at the place.
“Calm down, Alexis,” Andy told her.
“Well… let’s talk outside,” Nick quickly grabs Alexis at her arms and pulls her out of the pub.
“I never see her so furious like that before,” Edward says afterwards when both of them were lost from sight. At the same time, all customers in the pub continue their business as usual.
At the outside, Nick and Alexis are having an argument over her action in the pub then.
“I want an explanation,” he demanded.
“Explanation? Yes, I love you!” she emotionally says.
“You love me?” he surprised.
“I have a feeling from you since Day One. I don’t want to admit it but the feeling is too strong. I don’t want to loose you!” she admits her feeling.
“You’re crazy,” he says. “I think you should find another guys, and hanging around. A girl like you should have many boyfriends around and…”
Suddenly, Alexis slaps his face, and starts crying.
“That’s enough,” she says before running away from the scene. Nick holds his face wondering what just hits him.
Later at Surfers Hill mansion, Alexis is crying alone on her bed. The door is completely locked and the others including Captain Bates and Jeffrey can only talk to her from the outside.
“Open the door,” Sarah pleaded. “Alexis, please. Open the door,”
“Leave me alone,” she responded with a crying voice. “Just leave me alone!”
“Let’s leave her,” says Jeffrey. “She needs some peace and quiet right now, not words or noise.”
Slowly, they left the door and return to respective rooms. Alexis herself, remembers some of her moments with her elusive love.
Among the memories, are when they are having a vacation at Wattage Mountain, throwing snowballs around and towards one another as well in a delightful evening. Then, comes the moment when they have a lunch together with the rest of teammates, especially when they sits besides each other. Her treatment towards him in the process by putting some tomato ketchup into his plate when his hands are full comes into her mind.
Moments in Ranger duty are also not easily forgotten. She still remembers the first time they take control of their respective Neutron Zords, which are an airplane Observer Jet 3 and a helicopter Whirlwind 5. Their link and partnership has saved each other’s live so many times on the air. In fact, Alexis herself acknowledged Nick’s contribution in helping her adapting to the flying machine.
Then came the memories when they battle monsters on the ground. Sometimes when he is about to be destroyed, she came into rescue and in equal numbers, he done the same thing on her. Those memories slowly take Alexis to sleep, and of course she is sleeping with her eyes crying for her love just as the pouring rain outside.
Meanwhile, Nick is taking Carmen somewhere with his car. Driving in the rain, he needs to be careful because he did not want to spoil something special that he arranges specially for both of them.
At the same time, Dr. Sun is working hard in the IsleBase lab. For sure, she is working something specifically for Neutron Squad. She looks so tired and sleepy but rather than taking a break, she drinks a coffee to make her stay awake because she knows sooner rather than later, Neutron Squad will need new weapons to beat the monster.
Next day, the Neutrons came to CoastBase for daily duty, but somehow Nick did not report himself back. Everyone wait for him but even his shadow did not show up.
“Who cares?” Alexis says when she was asked whether she has any idea where did he go.
Somewhere later that night in a mountain vacation area, Nick and Carmen is about to get dirty together. The latter slowly enters the washroom to undress herself, while he is patiently waiting without opening his own.
Suddenly, a bang happened in the room, and Nick is curious to find out what happened. In a flash, something attacks him at the neck as soon as he opened the door.
At Port Voyage, Mark and Adam is having some soccer training with the former juggling the ball while the latter holds the stopwatch to measure the time. Also suddenly, Mark felt something bad is happening from his sixth sense.
“What happened?” his mentor asks.
“Monster…” he briefly says, before jumping over the corridor, transform into Ace Ranger V2, and boards LunaZord to get into action. Adam meanwhile, quickly gets downstairs to the corridor to the basement to monitor the progress of his prodigy.
At the same time, the rest of Neutron Squad is having a rest after a hard work at Surfers Hill. While watching the TV, Jeffrey called Edward, saying that there is a phone call for him, from ECO CoastBase. He instantly gets himself on the line, and soon he gets back to the living room with a bad news.
“Emergency, it involves Nick,” Edward says.
“Nick? What happen to him?” Sarah asks.
“Jessica told us that they received a call from a vacation area somewhere outside this city, and a witness saw that Nick is being attacked by a monster in a room,” he explained.
“Who’s the witness? Is it Carmen?” Sarah asks again.
“No, the witness is a man,” he added.
“He’s in danger, let’s go,” Andy says, but as the three climbed the stairs, they turned to Alexis who is still on the couch. She looks so unease from her face, especially when she heard the news.
“Alexis, are you coming with us?” Edward asks his anxious friend.
“I don’t know… I’m scared,” Alexis says as she admits her concern.
“You should go, he will appreciate your presence,” Jeffrey encourages her. “Don’t let your feeling undermine you.”
“But if he dies…”
“Don’t go that far, we need to save him now,” Sarah tries to calm her down.
After a while, finally Alexis climbs the stairs and they quickly changed their clothes to get into the scene as fast as possible.
In the frenetic moment, Carmen has managed to do just enough to wear her jeans and shirt back before running out of the hotel room. She looks so panic that she only run with bare feet all the way. While running in a garden in the night, she gets a rude shock.
“Stop,” a voice suddenly comes out.
“Who’s there?” Carmen anxiously wants to know. “Show me who you are!”
“Why Force Of Destruction sends you?” Mark slowly walks out of the dark, showing himself to her.
“What nonsense are you talking about?” she asks him.
“You’re behind all murders in the hotel rooms, you do all the kill yourself,” he gives the fact. “I arrive at the scene before police did, look at all evidence, and it leads to you.”
“Yes, I did the kill!” Carmen finally admits. “Humans always lost to their desire and never use their mind completely. All men that I kill… they let themselves overwhelmed by their desire to sleep with me, they never know that those thing can lead them to destruction!”
“What?” Mark cannot believe over what he just heard.
“Just like you, your desire to get revenge for your parents has lead you to destroying enemies at the expense of people around you. In the end…” she says as she getting closer and walks round him.
“…I lost my power,” he admits his first experience as Ace Ranger whilst he is standing still at his position.
“Desire only make humans weak, and if they let themselves being controlled by it…” she leans herself to his chest and gently touched it “… they didn’t deserve to live at all.”
While Carmen’s hands are getting lower down the chest, suddenly Mark sends a powerful punch at her stomach from both hands, enough to make her sliding away in distance. He takes a step forward while looking sharply to her.
“It may be true, but desire needs to be controlled by mind,” he says. “I still have it now, but I know how to control it unlike before.”
“You just never listen to my words, aren’t you?” she recovers back form the fall.
“All men that you killed is just college boys,” Mark gives his point. “They’re not mature enough to control themselves.”
“Then what’s the different with you? You’re just as young as them,” Carmen angrily asks.
“Experience makes me better than before, only that separates me and them,” he says.
“Really? Then let’s see how good you are at fighting!” she says, before releasing two sticky spider silks from her wrists to hold him.
Shocked by the action, Mark instantly pulls back at full strength, thus pulling Carmen as well at a fierce speed. He took that chance to send a right foot kick to bounce her back. Later, he spins her a couple of times to loosen up the thread and thus, throwing her hardly and highly to the wall.
Not impressed by the attack, she sticks herself on the wall like a spider, much to the surprise of him. Then she jumps towards him, and he took that chance to do the same from the ground, and both clashes on the air.
At the roadside, the oncoming Neutron Squad noticed the fight from their SUV.
“Isn’t that Mark?” Andy says.
“And Carmen. Why they’re fighting?” Sarah asks.
“Let’s find out,” Edward responded. He quickly stops the SUV and all of them quickly get out to the scene.
On the air, Mark and Carmen exchanging punches and boots towards each other. However, in this case, the latter has better ability and in the end, the former was thrown away when they landed on the ground.
“Are you alright?” Edward helps Mark to recover back as the four Neutrons arrive. “Where’s Nick?”
“He’s fine,” Carmen speaks out.
“What you’ve done to him?” Sarah demands to know.
“That poor little boy gets a piece of my blood, and it turns to be poison in his body!” she arrogantly says. “Now he is upstairs, rest in peace.”
“Nick…” Alexis cannot believe what she just heard, and suddenly she drops on his knees before crying out loud “NICK!”
“Now let’s see whether his friends want to join him as well!” Carmen says before she screams. Her voice also changed, and her body evolved into a spider. As the process completed, she is known as Black Widow.
Still in the state of shock, Alexis stands up and steps up in front of Edward in facing the monster. She knows that Nick is no longer around, but they need to carry on.
“For Nick,” she says to her friends after they show off their morphers, and they quickly transformed into their respective Ranger forms.
They instantly pouring forward and attacked the monster at full strength. However, Black Widow managed to hold their challenges. Not only that, they also were tied together when they regrouped in a weak condition.
“Now you’re about to face the same fate as that poor boy!” Black Widow says.
“Dream off!” Edward angrily warned it.
“Oh yes. You’re about to face it now,” it responded.
“Say that again,” suddenly an unknown voice came out from behind. When it turned back, it gets a kick on the face. It was from Nick, and he is still alive.
“Nick! Thank God you’re here,” says Andy gratefully.
“You’re alive,” Alexis also cannot believe who is saving them.
“How did you survive? You should be dead by now!” Black Widow angrily wants to know.
“Actually…” just after he releases them, Nick tear off plastic layer on his face that protects him from the poison. That causes so much surprise, since the plastic was unnoticed by it for a very long time. “I know you’re behind the murders, because when ECO steps in, suddenly you appears. And I take your fingerprints after each drink; its no human fingerprints.”
“What?” the monster shocked.
“Now let’s fight brawn with brawn,” Nick says as he appears his Diamond Morpher, and he transforms into Diamond Blue Neutron Ranger. Then his friends joined him and lined up to fight the beast.
They go forward to attack with more people, but Black Widow still managed to hold their challenges and later, making the counter. Mark was the first to be thrown away in the process, followed by Andy, Sarah, Alexis, Nick, and Edward. Then, it approaches the Neutron Squad bunch, in order to destroy them first with its spider choke.
But it did not noticed that Mark, who is being thrown to the opposite way to them, is recovering behind it. Then he shifts his Spark Baton into Spark Sword, and energised it with full power. In a dash, he go towards the beast, and sends Spark Slash attack before landing in front of his friends.
The Neutrons instantly recover afterwards and they formed combined Plasma Gun with Neon Buster to form Plasma Rifle. They lined up and shoot a combined shoot to destroy the beast. At the same time, Mark sends his Spark Crusher attack to the beast, and those two attacks instantly kills the monster.
“Are you alright, Nick?” Alexis says as he finds his fellow Ranger falls down a bit.
“Nothing, I’m just tired,” Nick tries to calm her.
But they cannot relax yet, since Black Widow suddenly grows up to become a huge monster. The Neutrons waste no time calling their Aero Force Zords and form Aero Force MegaZord, while Mark boards his LunaZord, which has been landed at the nearby forest. He shifts it into Luna WarriorZord.
Then the two Zords fly towards Black Widow at a ferocious speed to pounce it, but it was brainy enough to read the game and shoots spider silk towards them. It effectively halts their view, and they shortly crash down to the ground.
They stand up whilst still struggling to remove the silk around, and the monster quickly took that chance to take a slash on them. It did not take a long time before both Zords stumble down, and completely in damage.
“Man, we’re down!” Andy warns during the fall, but it was too late for them. The Neutrons instantly abandon their MegaZord, but Mark did not want to do the same and still stay inside his Zord, hoping there are some hope of recovery. They run away from the scene, and instantly contact IsleBase for help.
“Dr. Sun, Aero Force Zords are down,” Edward gives his report via the ECOmmunicator. “Please send Zords here.”
“Coming right away,” Dr. Sun acknowledges the request. “Zords Bay, reload MegaLoader with InsectorZords.”
“Got it,” an operator from Zords Bay received the order and a giant hoist transferred a box into MegaLoader. After the process finished, the bay was opened and TransXpress is already waiting for it. Then the two forms TranXpress CarrierZord, and it quickly go to the designated place where the Rangers are waiting.
Meanwhile, Mark and his Luna WarriorZord managed to get rid the spider silk around and do just enough to hold a smash from Black Widow. But the monster instantly smashed the Zord using another tentacle, and continues to do so a couple of times.
Just in time, TransXpress CarrierZord arrives not far from the scene, and the Neutrons know they need to act fast.
“Come on, I don’t think Mark can hold any longer,” Edward encourages his friends.
“Ok, let’s…hey, this is not Savage Zords,” surprised Sarah when he sits in the cockpit.
“You’re right, this is not Neutron Zords either,” Nick admits.
“Rangers, this is your new InsectorZords,” Dr. Sun says via the communication line from IsleBase.
“InsectorZords?” wonders Andy.
“Yes, designed for fast ground fighting,” she explained. “Edward, you will take control of Beetle Zord 1. Andy, you’re Mantis Zord 2. Nick, you will pilot Hornet Zord 3. Sarah, you get Bee Zord 4 and Alexis, you’re Butterfly Zord 5.”
“Insects…” Andy imagined those mentioned creature in his head.
“As far as I know, insects are foods for spiders,” Alexis says.
“We’ll see whether that’s true or not,” Edward responded. “Let’s go!”
Then, those new Zords steps out from MegaLoader, with three on air and two on the ground. They headed instantly to the scene, and Edward gives a rude surprise to Black Widow by ramming its back while it smashes Luna WarriorZord.
“What the… insects?” it looks so shocked with what it just seen.
“Surprised to see us?” Andy says from the cockpit.
“It’s been a long time since I didn’t have insects in my menu,” it responded angrily.
“Really? Take this!” Sarah quickly guided her new Zord’s sting towards the beast and smashes it at full speed. It instantly being knocked down, and just after it recovered back, Alexis has wait at its front.
She waves the wings of her Zord to create a massive turbulent, and it was able to sustain the monster’s resistance. Then her task has finished, and she handed it to Nick.
Nick uses the agility of his Zord to make some dummies on Black Widow, and makes things difficult for the monster, since it takes time to stabilise itself from the turbulence. After a while, he opens up the armoury and gives a couple of rocket shoots to the beast.
That strike sends Black Widow a couple of steps back, but it does not stop Andy to step up the challenge. The monster tries to slams his Zord, but he managed to hold the smash and instead, he gives a slash in return. That has weakened it enough, and the Neutrons regrouped back not far from it.
“Rangers, use the same way as before to form Insector MegaZord,” Dr. Sun told them.
“Got it!” Edward acknowledges the instruction, and they instantly execute it.
Beginning with Beetle Zord 1 forming the leg parts to lower body, its horn was disassembled in the process. At the same time on the air, Bee Zord 4 folded its wings and formed the upper body side before being attached to Hornet Zord 3 and Mantis Zord 2 that act as right and left hand respectively. Then Butterfly Zord 5 combined at its back, before landing on the awaiting Beetle Zord1 on the ground. The transformation was finished with the right hand of the new Zord holding the extended beetle horn as a lance. Now Insector MegaZord is ready.
“Good but I’m not impressed,” declares Black Widow.
“You better think again,” Edward warns, and the monster quickly dashed towards them to attack.
It slashes them a couple of times, but the quick reaction from the Zord helped them to avoid every single of it. Then in a sole attacking move, they counter back by using two long claws attached at the left hand, courtesy of sharp front legs from Mantis Zord 2.
That has weakened the monster enough, and they took that chance to finish it for good. They pointed the lace to it, and shortly the wings behind waves strongly to create enough thrust.
“Sting Strike!” the Neutrons say together, and the Zord suddenly catapulted forward. When that happened, Black Widow was unable to move anywhere and it have been destroyed in a devastating crash.
Next day at Port Voyage, Mark is sitting on the chair in the basement thinking over what Black Widow said about humans desire. He gave it a deep thought since he has the first hand experience about the consequences when desire controls everything. Then he takes a look at the photo of his parents, and ponders how his obsession on revenge has cost them dearly. At the same time, he took a dip of a bottle of Pepsi in his hand while do the thinking.
At the same time in CoastBase, Nick has just undergone a medical check-up before entering operation room to resume his duty. But when he enters the place, he founds Alexis also on her way out at the doorstep. And she did not look happy to see him again as she stares angrily on his eyes.
“Oh no, here she goes again,” Edward says cynically.
And he is right, when she instantly sends a slap on Nick’s face. He looks so guilty afterwards.
“That’s for cheating and insulting me last time,” Alexis says.
“Ok, I’m sorry but I didn’t mean to…” Nick tries to finish his apology sentence, but suddenly she gives her a deep French kiss on his lips. Her antics have raised some eyebrows in the room.
“Now that’s what I say ‘Oh no’,” says Andy as he also sees it.
“And that’s for…” Nick wants to know.
“For saving my life. I should do it a long time ago, but…” she says, before it was cut short by a return kiss from him. Again, there are some raised eyebrows.
“Wow….” Jessica opens up her mouth on the spot.
“You don’t have to do that. And who’s said that I only like blondes?” Nick says after the kiss, and she looks so happy. “Anyway, where should we start?”
“I don’t know. Suggestion?” Alexis asks.
“A dinner tonight, in Luciano’s Pasta & Pizza?” he suggests.
“Italian… I like it, but for now what about a lunch?” she says.
“It’s a bit too early for that,” he responded.
“Come on, table for two,” she added.
“Ok,” he says, and they walked out together afterwards. But shortly Nick reversed back to the room. “Anything to order guys?”
“No. Enjoy yourself,” Edward says to him, and he disappears from the sight when the door closed.
“The greatest love story of ECO has just begun,” says Andy.
“I hope so,” added Sarah, and they continue their work as usual.
At the corridor on the way to the café, Nick begins to hold Alexis’ hand firmly like he never let her go. Now both of them has found a true love they have been searching for a very long time.
