So, as I said in my introductory thread, this fic will be written on the premise of "What if...Cassie had become the Pink Galaxy Ranger instead of Karone?" and as such will take a number of unexpected turns including the return of the Phantom Ranger, along with a few other surprises along the way. ;) So then, I present to you the first part of the first episode of my fic, broken up into a few parts so that the reading is a little easier. I will be posting the second and third parts later in the week. You'll notice that the episode is labeled as being number 29, because this series assumes that everything in LG happened as it was supposed to up until the end of "The Power of Pink," but then takes a number of completely different turns all the way up until the end of the series at Episode 45...which leads us into the beginning of my story...so, without further ado, I present to you:

Episode 29. A Different Shade of Pink, Part I: A Robotic Reunion
Andros looked over at Cassie gliding alongside him. She hadn’t spoken a word since they’d left Terra Venture, and he had a strong indication of why. Gathering the courage to speak up, Andros quickly murmured, “Cassie…you all right?”
“Huh?” Cassie asked dazedly, almost slipping off her Glider as she spoke. “Oh…nothing…I’m fine.”
The four other rangers exchanged affirmative nods of the head before Ashley spoke up:
“Look, Cassie, what happened to Kendrix…it isn’t your fault. I’m sure she’s in a better place now, and you should know…”
“It’s not THAT!” Cassie snapped, then shook her head and said, “Sorry…I’m kinda tired. Is there any chance we could find someplace to sleep already?”
Andros looked up and spotted a small, gray, moon-like planet in the distance. “Well, I guess that planet’s as good as any. Shall we land?”
T.J. drooped his head, and then brought it up and nodded, “Yeah…I’m feeling kinda tired too. Let’s just land there and find some place in the woods to sleep.”
The Rangers steered their Galaxy Gliders toward a forested part of the planet, and within about ten minutes had landed on the soft forest floor. As they prepared to lie down, a voice shouted out, “HALT! Who goes there?”
The Rangers looked up to see a bright light shining in their eyes. They couldn’t tell who was holding it though. “Identify yourselves,” the voice spoke again, “Who are you?”
The Rangers nodded at one another and simultaneously nodded. “We’re the Power Rangers,” Carlos said assertively.
“You mean…oh, hey guys! I didn’t know it was you. Turbo Down!” A red flash of light blinded the teens further, and upon blinking and hearing a click, the teens saw T.J’s doppelganger right in front of them. “Hey, how goes it?”
Andros raised his fists, but T.J. calmly placed a hand on his shoulder. “Relax, Andros. This guy’s a friend. He’s a robot ranger. Remember when I told you that I knew of a guy we could leave Lightning Cruiser with? Well, this is he.” T.J. powered down, stepped forward, and shook his robot clone’s hand. “So I see that Lightning Cruiser had the Turbo Morpher inside, just like I thought it would.”
“Sure did!” Robot T.J. confirmed enthusiastically. “And the powers are working fine again. I’m glad that the two cars kept a copy of your and Justin’s Turbo Morphers. How lucky is that?”
“Would have been luckier if we’d known before Divatox captured them…but that’s beside the point. Everything worked out all right in the end. So, I take it we’re on Eltar then?”
“That’s right. Everything’s going pretty well here, thanks to you guys.” Robot T.J. confirmed with a smile.
T.J. frowned, “Then what’s with the morpher?”
“Well, to be honest…we’d heard that an alien spacecraft was terrorizing a space colony only a few lightyears from here. We were assured that they didn’t need help, but we wanted to be on our guard just in case. But anyways, let’s not stand out here in the cold! Aren’t you guys tired?”
“Yes,” Andros said, “At least…some of us are.”
Cassie looked away, and T.J. leaned over to his robot duplicate and said, “So…do you think you could hook us up with some place to sleep?”
“No problem!” Robot T.J. exclaimed. “Follow me. We have a campsite just a few minutes from here just for such an occasion. Shall we go?”
Cassie turned over in her bed. She still had her eyes closed, but didn’t feel that she could fade into unconsciousness. She heard Ashley snoring beside her, so she knew that she couldn’t wake her up to talk. Despite what she told her teammates, she WAS still sad about Kendrix. But what could she do? It was out of her hands now, and that…
“There IS something you can do, Cassie.”
Cassie awoke with a start and looked around frantically. Seeing no one, she closed her eyes and heard the voice once more.
“Cassie…please.”
She didn’t want to get up, but didn’t know what to do. She turned over a few more times, before seeing a bright glow in her head. As the glowing faded, she saw a specter of Kendrix before her.”
“Please, Cassie. You must protect my saber. It’s in the wrong hands, and I fear that if it goes to the hands of the wrong people, the colony may be in trouble.”
“But…what can I do…” mumbled Cassie dreamily.
“You must go find it. It is on the planet Onyx. Please Cassie, protect my saber. You must!”
Cassie finally leapt out of bed and looked around—but Kendrix was nowhere in sight. But what she’d seen had seemed so…real. It must have been. That’s it—I’ve GOT to go. Putting on her boots and uniform, Cassie parted the sides of the tent and was about to morph when a hand touched her shoulder.
“Why are you leaving?”
She turned around to see a small young boy of about thirteen with a mushroom haircut. She smiled, and said, “Look, Robot Justin. I have something I need to do. PLEASE don’t tell the others, okay?”
“But I…”
“Please.”
Cassie’s big brown eyes were hard to resist. Robot Justin sighed, looked down, and then said, “Okay, fine. I won’t. But I’ve been on guard? What should I say happened to you?”
“Just…tell them I’ll be back soon, okay? LET’S ROCKET!”
Cassie leapt into the air and as she did, swirls of pink energy encompassed her body. She landed atop her Galaxy Glider, which flew in to catch her just as the morph was completed. “Thanks Justin!” she whispered to him as she flew away into the night sky.
“You know that lying isn’t right,” a female voice spoke from behind him.
“Cassie?”
“If I know me…and I do,” Robot Cassie spoke with a smile, “She’d want you to tell the others. She needs the help of her friends right now, and you can’t lie. Am I right?”
“Yeah…I guess so.” Robot Justin said looking down.
“Okay then. You know what you have to do.”
Aboard the Scorpion Stinger, tempers were flaring. Trakeena was slamming any wall in sight, while Kegler was running around in circles and Villamax was muttering angrily to himself. The Stingwingers just stood nearby and mumbled.
“My queen,” Deviot said walking in from a corridor of the ship, “I heard the news about Psycho Pink. I’m so sorry about the Psycho Rangers my queen. I had thought…”
“Quiet, Deviot!” Trakeena spat angrily. “Yes, the Psychos weren’t up to my expectations. But they did do one thing right. They took out the Pink Ranger. And,” Trakeena said, an evil smile forming upon her lips, “We still have one Psycho left.”
“We do, my queen? But I just finished telling you, Psycho Pink…”
“I’m not talking about that hotheaded buffoon, you dolt!” Trakeena yelled. Walking down the hall with her robot minion close in toe, she said, “I’m talking about him.”
Trakeena gestured to a teenage boy of about twenty. He was blonde and pale-skinned, and was wearing a black uniform of some sort. His hands were tied behind his back, and a length of gray cloth was gagging him. He sat behind the bars of his prison unconscious.
“And let’s not forget the famous woman who brought us the Psychos.” Trakeena pointed to the cell adjacent to the man’s, where a blonde haired woman in a leather outfit who was about the same age as the boy was bound and gagged. “She will be instrumental in bringing the final Psycho Ranger to life.”
“Ah, how brilliant my queen! I’m glad you instructed me to capture them when they tried to stop us from finding the Psycho Rangers’ Data cards. And their teammates still haven’t found them!”
“Yes,” Trakeena said evilly, “These two will be the ones who will make my Psycho Ranger plan a success. They are…”
“Karone and Zhane,” Andros said, shaking his head, “Our mission was to find Karone and Zhane. And then Cassie just runs off like that? What could she be thinking?”
“She’s thinking,” Ashley interrupted, “That she wants to help her friend Kendrix.”
“Yeah,” Carlos added, “You saw how upset she was when she was destr...killed. It makes sense.”
“But why would she just leave without telling us?” Andros asked. He really had no idea what was going on in Cassie’s mind.
“Most likely, she’s gone back to help the Galaxy Rangers in some way. I don’t know for sure. But whatever she’s doing, we should be backing her up…even if she isn’t sure she wants us to,” Ashley sighed.
Robot Carlos, Carlos’ mechanical twin, then spoke up “Remember, Rangers always stick together.”
Robot Ashley then walked over to her human counterpart and said, “I think you guys should go. Whatever mission Cassie is on, I don’t think she’d be on it if it weren’t important to you guys.”
Andros looked down, and then looked up again. “All right,” he said, “Then that settles it. We’ll communicate with her as soon as we get into the air, and if she doesn’t respond, you can always track her. Right Ashley?”
Ashley nodded. Andros looked out after glancing at each of his teammates, and then yelled:
“LET’S ROCKET!”
As the teens all boarded their Galaxy Gliders, T.J. looked out to the metallic versions of themselves and said, “Thank you, Robot Rangers. We appreciate what you’ve done for us.”
“No sweat,” Robot T.J. said with a smile, “Don’t be a stranger, now.”
As the teens flew into the sky, a shadowed figure looked out at them from the woods. “I must follow them,” the deep male voice spoke, and then ran off deeper into the woods.

Cool so far. Glad to see the return of the Robo Rangers, cause I thought that was something that should have been followed up on. I also like how you explained why Karone and Zhane (or at least Zhane) weren't with the Space Rangers when they showed up on Terra Venture.
And as much as I liked seeing Karone back, I've always been a Cassie fan, so having her back as the Pink Galaxy Ranger will definitely be a good thing.
Ok, I can tell this is gonna be awsome. I always wondered what had happened if patricia had joined the cast

Thanks for all the comments, guys! Part II will be up in a few days, and Part III will be up later in the week as well. I think after this episode I'll be sticking to one a week just so I can complete Spectral Lights as well.

Episode 29. A Different Shade of Pink, Part II: Mission to Onyx
“Wake up. Wake UP! WAKE UP NOW!!!”
Disturbed by the evil princess’ yelling, the two teens groggily got up, collapsing for a moment due to the stiffness of having to sleep while tied up. Trakeena walked closer to their cells and said, “Now see here. You two are going to help me make a Psycho Ranger or else.”
The young man looked away, not giving Trakeena the time of day. “Oh, Zhane,” she spoke with a laugh, “Can’t do anything now that it’s not a joke, huh? And you, Astronema-has-been,” Trakeena grunted, gesturing to the girl, “You know how to make Psycho Rangers. After all, you made them in the first place, right?”
Karone looked away, not wanting to say or do anything that could bring her harm. “Do-gooders,” Trakeena said, rolling her eyes, “Villamax! Deviot! Release these two losers and take their gags out.” The two henchmen pressed buttons on the wall that removed the iron gratings from their chambers. They roughly lifted the teens up and un-gagged them, and then threw them to the floor as an army of Stingwingers buzzed in to block their escape.
“Foolish children…even though you’re retired as Rangers…not that you ever were one, Karone…you followed the Stinger to the planet where the Data Card exchange was being made.”
Karone narrowed her eyes at Trakeena, and spoke, “I entrusted those Cards to that creature—he was a friend of Zordon’s…and you bought him off and destroyed him without a second thought! When he told me about the offer you’d made him and his uncertainty, I knew we had to follow him, but I couldn’t risk getting the other rangers involved.”
“But even without our help,” Zhane said, “They felt the Psycho Ranger’s presence when they returned. They destroyed your Psychos and soon they’re going to find us and destroy you!”
“You keep telling yourself that,” Trakeena said as she rolled her eyes. “All they know is that you ran off without an explanation. They’ll never find you here.” Trakeena then turned over to Karone and said mockingly, “So tell me, Astronema…How DO you make a Psycho Ranger?”
“Even if I knew, I wouldn’t tell you,” Karone spoke defiantly, narrowing her eyes up at Trakeena.
“You good guys always want to make it hard for yourself,” Trakeena said, rolling her eyes again. “Deviot, the remote please.” The robotic underling handed Trakeena a remote and then fastened a collar on Karone, but not before Zhane furiously kicked up at him and yelled “Keep your hands off her!”
“None of that!” Deviot yelled, blasting him in the arm with his laser. Zhane cried out in pain, and then rolled back onto the ground reeling.
“So,” Trakeena said, circling around, “You won’t talk. Well, we can fix that. Deviot, press the remote.”
As he did, an electric shock surged through Karone’s veins. Karone yelled out as pain seared through her body. “Care to talk now?” Trakeena mocked.
“NO!” Karone yelled, gasping for breath. “I told you, I DON’T KNOW!” While I was Astronema for a while, Dark Specter had control over my mind. So I really don’t know what I did as Astronema or how I did it!”
“Is this true, Kegler?” Trakeena asked, looking down at the barrel-shaped toady beside her.
“Yes, my queen, I believe so!” Kegler said, bobbing with excitement.
“Well then…we have a little situation here.” Trakeena said, “Deviot! Do you think that maybe a little extra dosage could trigger some…unwanted memories to reappear?”
“NO! Don’t do that!” Zhane cried, the fear visible in his eyes.
Deviot looked over at his queen and said, “I believe that just may do it. She may have shut the memories out of her mind, but a little extra pain might just do the trick!”
Karone screamed louder and louder as the electroshock treatment continued. After about fifteen seconds, Zhane screamed, “STOP! She doesn’t know anything!” Five seconds later, Karone collapsed to the ground and yelled out, “DARK SPECTER!”
“Turn it off,” Trakeena calmly instructed with a quick glance over at Deviot, “Tell me more.”
“His energy,” Karone gasped, hyperventilating as she spoke, “I used his cells to create the Psycho Rangers.”
“Excellent,” Trakeena said with a smile, “Deviot—you can put that remote away for now.”
“But my queen,” Villamax protested, “Dark Specter was destroyed! What do you propose we do?”
“That may be, but his rubble was scattered all over the universe,” Trakeena said, and then added, “And if I know aliens like I think I do…they’ll consider it valuable. And you know where valuable things always show up. Stingwingers, guard these two! Deviot, Villamax…let’s set a course.”
This is the place, Cassie thought to herself, as her Galaxy Glider descended. She was in back of the Onyx Tavern—she knew the location, for Andros had told her how to get there in one of his many stories about infiltrating enemy bases. But how to get inside was another story all together…
“My queen!” Villamax shouted from the control room, “Look at what’s headed in front of us!”
Trakeena looked on the screen, and then gasped, “The Space Rangers? But what could THEY be doing headed for Onyx? And with only four of them? Well, whatever they want, they aren’t going to find it.” Trakeena pressed a few buttons on the dashboard, and lasers flew out from the ship’s “fangs” towards the Rangers. The Rangers were only a few lightyears ahead of the Stinger, but in their concentration they hadn’t noticed the evil ship coming up behind them. As the laser nicked Carlos’ thrusters, he shouted “Whoa, guys! Time to turn on the juice! That ship is right behind us!” The Stinger loomed closer to the Gliders, and Ashley yelled, “We can’t get away! It’s coming too fast!” As the Rangers turned around and desperately tried to blast the Stinger away with their blasters, a fiery explosion erupted from the ship’s tail.
“What? Who DARES to fire on our ship when our back is turned?” Deviot yelled.
“Oh, I DARE!” Damon yelled from the helm of the Megaship. As he steered from behind the Megaship and pulled the ship in front, he yelled “Eat laser, freaks!” The blast hit the ship square in its front, and another explosion engulfed the ship, this time at the front.
“My queen! With our lasers and engines damaged, we cannot stand up against the Rangers’ ship. We must retreat!”
Trakeena grimaced, and then yelled, “Don’t you worry, Rangers—I’ll be back!”
As the Stinger took off, the door to the Megadeck nearest the Space Rangers opened. The Space Rangers flew into the Megaship and were greated there by a morphed but helmetless Kai.
“Hi there,” he breathed, “Nice of you to show your faces around here again,” he said with a smile.
“How did you find us?” Ashley asked, removing her helmet.
“We were headed toward Onyx,” Kai spoke, and then added, “Is that by chance where you’re headed?”
“Yeah…Cassie ran off during the night, and I used my tracker to find out that she’s…”
“She did?” Maya asked, entering the Megadeck while morphed but also helmetless. “Did she say anything about…a vision from Kendrix?”
“No,” T.J. said, “But I wouldn’t be surprised if she had.”
Maya and Kai nodded, and then said, “Come on. Let’s put this bucket into overdrive.”
Cassie trembled, as she ducked back into a corner after seeing an alien approaching the tavern. She had been waiting for what seemed like nearly an hour without going in. She didn’t know how to make an entrance—she would lose if she tried to take on the whole tavern by herself. Andros was better at this…
“Ah, I see you’re failing without my expertise to guide you.”
Cassie whirled around with a start to see her four teammates morphed and standing behind her. “How did you find me?” she whispered.
“Please…tracking is my thing,” Ashley bragged, “And besides…just like the real thing, Robot Justin cannot tell a lie.”
Cassie shook her head, “I knew I shouldn’t have trusted him,” she laughed.
“Look,” T.J. said, “We’re not exactly sure what this is about, but you’re our teammate, so we trust you. Okay?”
“Yeah,” Carlos added, “And don’t forget: rangers always stick together,” he said, echoing his Robot clone’s words earlier that night.
“So,” Andros said, “Step into my office.”
A cloaked figure walked into the tavern. This better be worth it, Andros thought to himself. As he walked around, he spotted the similarly cloaked figure holding the Quasar Saber. “Hey, you,” Andros spoke to the man, “Beat it, kid,” the guy spoke, “This thing’s mine.”
“I’ll play you a game of cards for it,” Andros offered. No one in the Onyx Tavern had ever beaten him at cards.
“No,” the man said, “Go away.”
As the man began to walk out of the tavern, Andros said, “Wait…I’ll wager THIS against your Quasar Saber,” Andros offered, showing him the Red Astro Morpher.
“Red Ranger?” the man asked, “Is that…”
“RANGERS!!! Here, in the tavern!” a female voice yelled from up on the balcony.
The two cloaked men turned to see Trakeena pointing down at them vindictively with her staff. “Don’t just stand there,” she yelled, “GET THEM!”
“Here,” the stranger said, shoving the Saber into Andros’ hands, “I know you can take care of it.”
“But I? Who are you…” Andros started, but the figure held up his cloaked hand and panted, “Not now! Get out of here!” As Andros turned to run, he looked back and saw the man fighting off a legion of Pirahnatrons and other footsoldiers that were attacking him. As Trakeena blasted him with her staff, he turned to run back and help, but a blast from the cloaked figure’s laser back at the queen changed his mind. He can take care of himself, thought Andros.
He raced outside the Tavern and threw off his cloak. Hopping onto his perched Galaxy Glider, he flew around a couple buildings to the parked Astro Megaship. Boarding the ship from the front, he ran up to control room and breathed, “I got it!”
The stranger continued to blast the strangers around him with his laser. After a few swift kicks and punches, he too escaped the tavern. Villamax leapt off the balcony and went to stop him but Trakeena yelled, “No! Forget him. Take the Stinger to capture the Red Ranger!” He nodded in approval before running outside the tavern doors. Annoyed by all the commotion in the tavern, Trakeena aimed her staff at the ground level and fired off a large blast that made a hole in the floor. Upon impact, everyone turned up to face her.
“Now here this,” Trakeena proclaimed, making her voice boom so that ALL in the Tavern could hear her, “I am Trakeena, daughter of the late King Scorpius. And I too wish to purchase something from one of you.” She licked her lips, and then went on, “About a year ago, the leader you call “Dark Specter” was destroyed.” Upon making this remark, she made half of the audience before her shudder. She laughed. Someday, my name will make people do the same, she thought. “Now, when he was destroyed, his great body of molten rock exploded and was scattered across the universe. Now, my question to you is: which one of you holds a remaining piece of the mighty Dark Specter?”
She looked down to see a robed alien, verifiably a priest, step before her. “I do,” he spoke meekly, but then quickly added, “But I need it to revive…”
Trakeena rolled her eyes and said, “Give it to me, and I can reward you beyond your wildest dreams—and I have the power,” she said looking up into the sky.
The creature trembled with excitement, and then threw the piece up to her and yelled, “HERE! Now where is my reward?”
Trakeena laughed, and then said, “Ah, yes…your reward. Here it is.”
Trakeena turned around, and then turned back quickly, firing a powerful blast from her staff at the robed priest, completely incinerating him robe and all. As the audience before her gasped, Trakeena’s face turned serious as she yelled “KNOW THIS! I, Trakeena, shall soon rule this galaxy. Deny me what I want and you will meet the same fate at this pathetic creature here.” With a final laugh, Trakeena teleported back to the Stinger in a purple flash of light.
Stepping into the control room, Trakeena asked, “Well? How far along are we?”
“We’re close, my queen,” Villamax spoke, “Very close.”
Damon looked into the rear screen, seeing how close the Stinger was to them. “We’re a low on fuel, so we’re gonna need to make a landing,” he spoke urgently, “What’s the nearest planet?”
“Umm…Rashon!” Cassie replied, reading the monitor.
“Good, then that’s where we’re headed,” Damon said, accelerating the thrusters.
“NO! Accelerate our ship's speed!” Trakeena yelled to Deviot, “And whatever it takes, don't let them get away!”

Episode 29. A Different Shade of Pink, Part III: Cassie’s Choice
The Megaship rapidly approached the planet Rashon’s atmosphere, making a bumpy landing in the desert area.
“Nice one, Damon,” Maya groaned, rubbing her behind as she got up.
“Hey, it’s not MY fault someone forgot to remind me the fuel was low…LEO. Hey, where is Leo?” he growled, looking around behind him.
“I’m here,” Leo called from the floor, “What? I can’t lean against the wall on the floor if I want to?”
“Oh, hey, Leo—didn’t see ya there!” Andros exclaimed enthusiastically, seeing Leo leaning against the wall on the floor. “How have you been, buddy?”
“Fine, I…”
The ship rumbled as the Scorpion Stinger made a crash landing next to it. Mike ran in from the hallway opposite where Leo was sitting and said, “Guys, we’ve got company!”
The Rangers all nodded in agreement at one another, and then ran out. Cassie looked down at the Saber Andros had left on the dashboard, narrowed her eyes at it, and then ran out with it in hand.
Karone lay on the ground in a daze—the crash had been hard on her too. She got up and felt Zhane’s chest against her head, “Are you okay?” he asked, his eyes filled with concern.
“I’m fine,” she said, “But we’ve got to get out of here. But how will we do it? We can’t move our arms, and we’ve got these…things blocking our way out,” Karone said, kicking her leg out towards a Stingwinger facing the hallway. “And who knows where Trakeena’s keeping your morpher?”
“Well…there’s only one way to find out,” Zhane said, groaning as he got up. “Hey ugly,” he yelled, causing three of the half-dozen Stingwingers to turn around and face him, “Think fast!” Zhane leapt into the air and delivered a flying kick to the Stingwinger’s chest, knocking all of them back for a domino effect. “Come on, let’s get outta here!”
Trakeena emerged from the ship along with Villamax and Deviot. “Rangers,” she said, “Today is your unlucky day. STINGWINGERS!” she called, and as she did, nearly two-dozen Stingwingers appeared before her. “You, Pink Ranger!” she yelled at Cassie. Cassie looked over to see Trakeena smiling evilly. She immediately raised the Quasar Saber and raced toward Trakeena. The Magna Defender took on Villamax, while the Red Rangers tackled Deviot, and the Blue, Green, and Yellow Rangers faced the Stingwingers.
Cassie raced toward Trakeena, still holding the Saber up high. Trakeena merely smiled, and blasted the ground before her with her staff. Cassie shouted and held up her hands in front of her face as dust clouded her vision. Trakeena then let out a battle cry, and ran over toward Cassie. She let Cassie have a kick in the gut, and then struck her in the back with her staff. Cassie tried swiping Trakeena’s feet, but Trakeena leapt into the air and twirled her staff around, knocking Cassie back about ten feet.
Leo and Andros exchanged turns punching Deviot, until he grabbed Leo by the throat and tossed him aside, and then blasted Andros in the stomach. Mike delivered an overhead slash to Villamax, and then attempted to blast him with the Magna Blaster in laser mode, but Villamax rolled aside, got up, and drew his sword from his side, ready for more swordplay. Mike raced toward him with the Magna Blaster back to sword mode as the other rangers punched and kicked the Stingwingers, trying to get in on some of the better action.
Zhane and Karone raced through the Scorpion Stinger, Zhane tightly gripping Karone by the hand. “How are we ever going to find our way out?” Karone breathed. “Just keep running,” Zhane said, narrowing his eyes. He then took off again with Karone closely behind.
Cassie used the saber as a cane in order to prop herself up. Trakeena chuckled to herself and said, “You’re causing yourself so much pain, Pink Ranger. And why? It’s not even worth it.” Charging up her staff for a few seconds, Trakeena ran toward the struggling Cassie and brutally knocked her forward twenty feet toward the rocky edge of the desert-like mountain upon which they were fighting.
Trakeena walked before her, and shook her head, saying, “Give me the saber Pink Ranger. I won’t ask again.”
“…N…Never…” Cassie spoke weakly, struggling to get up again.
Trakeena shrugged her shoulders, and then said, “Have it your way.” She brought her staff back, and then jabbed Cassie in the face with it. Cassie cried out in pain, rolled back over to the cliff’s edge, and de-morphed. Trakeena bent down to pick up the saber, as Cassie winced and groaned. “Any last words?” Trakeena hissed happily.
Zhane’s eyes darted furiously about the ship—where could the exit be? Suddenly, he heard a voice behind him call, “This way!” He turned around to see Karone tugging him toward a tunnel from which light was seeping through. “This must be a way out!” She called back. Zhane gulped as he saw the Stingwingers, increased to about a dozen in numbers, about ten feet behind them. “Better make this quick!” he called.
Trakeena brought down her foot hard upon the Pink Ranger’s chest and said, “I never really liked the color pink anyway.” Bringing her foot back, she forcefully rolled her toes over Cassie’s chest, knocking her right off the cliff. As Cassie gripped the cliff with one hand, Trakeena smiled and whispered, “Bye bye, Pinkie.” Blasting at her fingertips, Trakeena gave an open-mouth laughed while Cassie was forced to let go of the cliff. She fell downward, but snagged her morpher’s band on a twig. As she struggled to boost herself up, she fell again, leaving the morpher trapped on the twig above her. Her teammates looked over from their battles and yelled out in anguish as she fearfully screamed out in anguish. Anticipating for the end to come quickly, Cassie gasped as she stopped falling and began floating mid-air. Kendrix’s specter reappeared before her and said, “Did you enjoy your fall?”
“Kendrix,” Cassie whispered, “I thought…”
“I know. I can only stay for a short time. I came to give you this.” Kendrix waved her hand over Cassie’s wrist, and a Transmorpher appeared there. “I want you to take my place as the Pink Galaxy Ranger.”
“Kendrix, I can’t, I…”
“Please, Cassie. PLEASE. Do this for me.” Kendrix’s pleading eyes made Cassie bite her lip. Why am I such a pushover, she thought to herself? She looked down, and then replied, “Okay…I’ll do it.”
Kendrix smiled, and replied, “Thank you. Now…going up?” Cassie cried out excitedly as she began to float back up through the air. Noticing how Kendrix was looking up, Cassie managed to lean over and grab her Astro Morpher, slipping it into her coat so as not to offend Kendrix. As they landed atop the cliff, Kendrix proudly stated, “Good luck, Cassie. I know you will serve the Pink Ranger’s name with honor. You already have twice, after all.” And with that closing remark, Kendrix winked at Cassie and faded away in a shimmer of light.
The Rangers were still fighting, though only half-heartedly, as they thought that Cassie was now dead too. Trakeena laughed at them, and yelled, “Who’s next?”
“I’m not finished yet!” Cassie yelled back, a determined look on her face. The teens all looked over in amazement and cried out happily.
Karone looked out the door of the Stinger and spotted the Rangers looking over at Trakeena! “We made it!” she yelled looking back at Zhane. “Hey, gu…”
Her words were cut off as a Stingwinger brought its hand over her mouth. Two more grabbed her from each side and dragged her away. As she looked pleadingly toward Zhane, she saw that Stingwingers had grabbed him too and had his mouth covered. As they were dragged back up the ship’s entrance, she kicked and screamed, but to no avail—the muffled sound was too quiet to be heard by the teens, who were at least twenty or so yards away. As a Stingwinger closed the door behind them and Kegler looked at them angrily, Karone unhappily thought how the teens hadn’t even noticed them.
And unfortunately, they hadn’t. The teens, and even the villains’ gazes were fixated on Cassie, who seemed to have escaped from certain doom. Trakeena gave Cassie an angry look, before raising her staff in one hand and the Saber in the other and yelling, “Come on!”
Cassie, a new vigor within her, blocked and defended each of Trakeena’s kicks and punches. As she went to slash Cassie with her staff and the saber, Cassie fell to the ground and did a back handspring, knocking both the staff and the saber into the air. As Trakeena stared up helplessly, Cassie kicked her in the stomach and knocked her back. Catching the saber upon its descent, Cassie looked up at Trakeena and said, “Get ready to see a whole new me, girl. GO, GALACTIC!” As new swirls of pink energy formed around Cassie, she knew that what she was doing was right. Trakeena shielded her eyes, and then looked up to see Cassie, the Pink Galaxy Ranger reborn.
“You haven’t won yet!” Trakeena yelled angrily.
“Oh no?” Cassie replied, “Ready, rangers?”
The four other Galaxy Rangers nodded toward Cassie, knowing what she meant. All at once they shouted, “Lights of Orion, activate!” The Lights gave the five teens their armor. As Cassie joined the four for an energy attack, Mike shot the unaware Villamax and Deviot, as the Space Rangers watched in surprise. The Galaxy Rangers transformed into spheres of energy and blasted Villamax, Trakeena, and Deviot all at once.
Reeling from the explosion, Trakeena shouted, “I will have my revenge on ALL of you. Mark my words!” She, Deviot, Villamax, and the Stingwingers proceeded to teleport into the Scorpion Stinger. A few seconds later, the ship took off into the air and fled through Rashon’ atmosphere.
The Galaxy Rangers stood breathing heavily, Cassie in particular. The four Space Rangers and the Magna Defender merely gazed in puzzlement. Cassie was the first to shout “Power Down!” and was quickly followed by the nine other teens.
Ashley looked over at Cassie in amazement and asked, “Well, what happened?”
“Kendrix,” Cassie spoke, gulping, and then added, “She…she wants me to take over as the Pink Galaxy Ranger. And…I said yes.”
Andros looked over at her and said, “No…but…”
“Well…” Carlos asked, “So…are you going to stay with us or with them?”
“I don’t know,” Cassie said looking down at the ground, “I just don’t know.”
“Well,” Leo said, “The four of you can stay with us until she figures things out.”
Andros narrowed his eyes at Leo, and then muttered, “Great. Thanks.”
“Meanwhile,” Mike said, “Don’t we need more fuel?”
Damon nodded and said, “Let me check to see how low we are.” A few minutes later, he returned outside with a puzzled look upon his face. “Actually,” he said, “The fuel supply seems to be at its highest.”
“But…who could have re-fueled the engines? We were all fighting!” Maya exclaimed.
The cloaked figure looked at the 10 teens from behind the Megaship and chuckled to himself. He then quickly turned around and raced off towards his ship, waiting to take off when the Megaship had gained a decent lead.
“They’re not tainted,” Damon added, “It’s a completely healthy supply of fuel.”
“Well…then let’s get going,” Leo said.
“We’re all behind you, Cassie,” Ashley said, “Whatever decision you make.
T.J. nodded in agreement as Cassie looked down and said, “I know…I do.”
“So, they tried to get away, is that right Kegler?” Trakeena confirmed, glaring at the two teens, who had been put back into their cells. “Well, it’s lucky I wasn’t here to witness it, or I would have done more than simply put you back,” she menaced. “But…that’s of no consequence now,” she finished. Grabbing a piece of cool molten rock from behind her, she spoke, “I’m not going to punish you. Because YOU have enough problems,” she said, gesturing to Karone’s collar, “And YOU,” she said, gesturing to an angry Zhane, “Are about to get the biggest attitude adjustment of your life.” She then proceeded to laugh evilly with Karone and Zhane staring up at her, a strong blend of anger and fear visible in their eyes.

Preview--Episode 33. A Ghost from the Past
Cassie and Ashley walked through the City Dome together. After glancing about for a few minutes, Ashley looked over at Cassie, noting the apparent confusion on her face. “So,” Ashley asked nervously, “Do you wanna talk?”
Cassie threw her hands up and said, “What am I supposed to do? I care just as much about Karone and Zhane as the rest of you, but I can’t deny the woman who saved my life her last wishes!” Cassie looked down at the ground and sighed, “I…I just don’t know.”
Ashley looked up at Cassie, placed a hand on her shoulder, and said, “I know, Cassie. But I want you to know we’re behind you 100% of the way on this.”
Cassie threw her hand off her shoulder and said, “Are you? You don’t know what it’s like…to have to decide between two teams, both of whom seem to have your back and…Ugh!” Cassie yelled, looking at the two morphers upon her wrists. “I just wish one of these morphers would get destroyed or something so my decision could be easier.”
“That can be arranged,” a cruel, metallic voice echoed behind them.
The girls whirled around; fists raised, they spotted a silver-colored version of what appeared to be a Psycho Ranger behind them. Puzzled after realizing who it could be, Cassie asked, “Whoa…Zhane? Is that you?”
“I am not Zhane,” the Ranger spoke cruelly.
“Come on, Zhane. Quit messing around. Do you know how long Andros has been worried about you?” Ashley demanded angrily.
“I tell you, I am not Zhane!” the Ranger yelled as he stepped toward them.
Ashley looked up and said, “Come on, you have to be. Who else could you be?”
The Psycho Ranger then let out an angry battle cry, and shouted, “Psycho Silverizer!” A moment later, he raised a black hand-rifle and shot at the two female rangers. As they were thrown back a couple yards, the Psycho Ranger laughed and yelled, “I’m Psycho Silver. Still think I’m here to mess around?”
The girls exchanged warning glances—this guy meant business, and whoever he was, they had to take care of him. After a simultaneous nod of the head and a beat from Cassie, the girls took their respective morphing stances and shouted, “Let’s Rocket!”

Episode 33. A Ghost from the Past
The man drove his one-person ship steadily through space. Up ahead, he spotted the space colony—Terra Venture, it was called. He spoke through a communications system on his dashboard and said, “You’re sure this is where she’s staying?”
“Yep! And I know me as well as…well me!” she laughed.
“Thanks, Robot Cassie. You and the others have been a big help,” he replied.
“No, problem, dude. Good luck!” she called.
Now, the man thought, if only Robot Justin was as helpful as he was annoying, Eltar would be perfect…
“All right,” Trakeena said, “So, it would appear that Zordon’s wave cleansed you of Dark Specter’s powers…how disappointing. Fortunately, I DO have power, and am able to fuse this cell of his with Little Boy Silver after I energize it. I COULD destroy you now…” Trakeena mused, bringing her staff to Karone’s face, “But…I’d rather see the look of horror on your face when you see what happens to your boyfriend. So…” Trakeena asked with a grin, “Are you ready?”
As Zhane struggled against the Stingwingers’ grip, he assured, “Karone, you can’t listen to her! You can still save yourself!”
Karone nodded her head, and looked over at Trakeena. As she attempted to run, a surge of electricity pulsed through her body—clearly, escape was not yet possible. Trakeena then lowered her staff toward Dark Specter’s cell; a burst of green energy stemmed from her staff and lifted the rock into the air. As the rock floated into the air and began glowing, a deep voice boomed “TRAKEENA…TRAITOR…”
“Dark Specter?” Trakeena asked in fear, “No! It can’t be! You must go!”
Narrowing her eyes, Trakeena electrified the rock with a twisted bolt from her staff. The cry’s volume increased and echoed throughout the ship, until Karone collapsed to the ground in pain, and Trakeena launched the rock toward Zhane with a final beam from her staff. After a series of silver flashes of light, a shadowed figure pushed past the unconscious Karone on the ground and evilly whispered, “Guess who’s back?”
The girls whirled around; fists raised, they spotted a Silver Psycho Ranger behind them. Puzzled after realizing who it could be, Cassie asked, “Whoa…Zhane? Is that you?”
“No. I am not Zhane,” the Ranger spoke cruelly.
Still think I’m messing around?”
The girls exchanged warning glances—this guy meant business, whoever he was, and they had to take care of him. After a simultaneous nod of the head and a beat from Cassie, the girls shouted, “Let’s Rocket!”
The Yellow and Pink Space Rangers raced toward him firing their Astro Blasters. Psycho Silver avoided the blasts by leaping into the air and slashing them both with his Psycho Silverizer. As he blasted the girls relentlessly with his Silverizer in laser mode, the girls de-morphed in a glow of light. As Ashley leaned over and spoke, “Help, guys!” into her communicator, Cassie slowly stood up, eyes narrowed, and yelled, “I’m not through with you yet. Go…Galactic!”
Upon morphing into the Pink Galaxy Ranger, Cassie drew her saber and began a sword fight with Psycho Silver. “Hope you don’t have a color preference like most psychos!” taunted Cassie. Slashes were exchanged as both would fall back and then quickly rise again. However, Psycho Silver grew wise to Cassie’s fighting, and by faking her out with a fake slash and then a blast, managed to floor her. As she went to grab her saber, he stepped on her hand and said, “Don’t struggle—it’ll only hurt more.” As he leaned back to finish her, cries of “NO!” could be heard from the sky. The Space and Galaxy Rangers, flying in on their respective gliders, were descending toward Psycho Silver. As Leo attempted to blast Psycho Silver with his lasers, the Psycho grabbed his own face and yelled, “Buzz off!” unleashing a huge energy attack upon the aerial assault squad. As they struggled to regain control of their vehicles, Psycho Silver brought his sword to Cassie’s chest and whispered, “Buh-bye, sucker!” He brought his arm back and was about to strike, when a black beam of energy shot him in the chest and threw him back. As he laid reeling on the ground, a shadowed figure approached behind Cassie. She turned around and saw his masked face. He threw off his cloak to reveal himself as…the Phantom Ranger.
“Seems like whenever I meet you again you’re wearing a different pink suit,” teased the Phantom Ranger as he walked toward Cassie and helped her up.
“Seems like whenever I meet you, I learn nothing new,” Cassie retorted playfully as she dusted herself off.
“Well,” the Phantom Ranger started, “Perhaps this time will be different.”
As Mike ran onto the scene and helped lift Ashley up, the teens turned to face Psycho Silver, who was slowly rising from the ground. As Ashley and Mike morphed, Psycho Silver yelled out, “Come on! I can take you ALL on.” And so the battle began once more.
The Space Rangers fired their Astro Blasters along with Mike, who shot his Magna Blaster. Psycho Silver was unaffected. The Galaxy Rangers then raced toward Psycho Silver with their Sabers high, Mike running with them with his Magna Blaster in sword mode. Psycho Silver threw his saber through the air, and it slashed each of the Galaxy Rangers and knocked them down. Psycho Silver laughed, and then blasted the Rangers with his Silverizer. Another face blast was all that was needed to floor them.
Phantom Ranger, seeing Cassie writhing on the ground, grew incredibly angry. He raised a black handgun and began blasting Psycho Silver with it. The Psycho laughed and raced toward the Phantom at which point Phantom turned invisible. The ten Rangers watched in awe as Psycho Silver was struck about with seemingly no one there. As Phantom became partially visible and nodded at Cassie, she got up with her team and said, “Okay, guys! Lights of Orion, activate!”
The five Rangers donned their armor as the four Space Rangers combined their blasters with their special weapons, bringing them into Booster Mode. As Phantom finished with Psycho Silver and brought him to the ground, Magna Defender joined the ten other Rangers and raised his blaster. As the Phantom Ranger raised his blaster, the eleven rangers stood before the Psycho Ranger as Phantom Ranger asked, “Any last words?”
Karone watched from a screen in the Scorpion Stinger. Trakeena no longer cared where the girl went, for her plan had nearly been carried out to completion. The rest was up to fate. Seeing her friends being blasted and her very good friend doing the damage was more than Karone could take. Angrily, she raised her fists and ran toward Trakeena’s back. Trakeena whirled around and kicked her fists away before elbowing Karone in the gut and placing her foot on her chest. “Clearly, you are VERY inobedient,” Trakeena said, “So we’ll have to fix that.” Trakeena leaned over and grabbed the remote, which was located next to a cellular phone—the Digimorpher! Knowing what she must do, Karone trip kicked Trakeena and leapt to seize the Digimorpher. Trakeena grabbed her foot and wrestled Karone to the ground. The two struggled for the remote, but Karone was finally able to knock it away before Trakeena could press the button. Using the morpher, Karone teleported away in a silver flash of light, leaving a seething Trakeena aboard the ship.
Psycho Silver spat at the Rangers and muttered, “Do your worst.”
The eleven Rangers were about to blast the Psycho Ranger when, in a silver flash of light, Karone appeared before them. The Rangers immediately lowered their weapons as Leo asked in puzzlement, “Karone?”
“Karone!” Andros cried in happiness.
“Please, Rangers,” she cried, “Don’t kill him. This isn’t a normal Psycho Ranger. He’s….” she paused for a moment before finishing, “Zhane.”
Andros dropped his Spiral Saber Booster Mode as the other Rangers looked about in puzzlement. “It can’t be!” Ashley said.
Trakeena angrily struggled to her feet, remote in hand, and glared at Karone on the screen.
“If you destroy him…you WILL destroy Zhane! Please, don’t harm him.”
Trakeena watched Psycho Silver rising to his feet, as she looked on the remote. Four buttons were on it: red, yellow, blue, and green. But which was which? “Deviot!” she called.
“But, I know of a weapon that can save him,” Karone said, “So, Galaxy Rangers, you must make a journey to a planet where I once turned a powerful Warrior to stone.”
Psycho Silver got up and aimed his Silverizer at Cassie while the Rangers were focused on Karone. He got in one good shot that de-morphed her before the Phantom Ranger shot him down angrily.
“Stop that!” Andros yelled at the Phantom, who reluctantly lowered his blaster.
Trakeena angrily looked at the remote and then behind her. Where in the world was Deviot? Villamax and Kegler came running, but Trakeena merely rolled her eyes. “Which button must I press to stop her from telling them anything?” she asked. “One button will shock her, one will teleport her, one will disarm the collar, and the fourth will re-arm it. But which is which? Quick, she’s about to tell them something important!”
“The warrior’s weapon has the power to power down mutated creatures into their original forms. He wanted to use it to save me…but I stopped him. Tell him how sorry I am when you get there,” Karone finished.
“Stay,” Andros pleaded.
“I don’t think I can,” Karone whispered, “So…the planet’s name is…”
Trakeena frantically scanned the remote and decided finally on the red button.
Karone gasped as the collar released itself from her throat and fell to the ground. Smiling, she cried, “Ankia! The planet’s name is Ankia!”
The Galaxy Rangers and the Magna Defender nodded toward one another and raced toward the ship. The Phantom Ranger and Cassie stood still. As the Space Rangers and Galaxy Rangers both implored her with their silence to make a decision, Cassie shook her head and cried, “Go…Galactic!” As she turned to leave, she said, “Karone, I want…”
But Karone was too busy screaming in pain. The blue button Trakeena then pressed had re-attached the collar, and the green button was electrocuting her. Psycho Silver, still smoking, laughed as she was teleported away in a purple flash of light.
“Karone!” Andros called out in fury.
Psycho Silver then got up and said, “Aww, too bad. She’s not here…but I am.”
The Space Rangers stood across from Psycho Silver, who raised his Silverizer, as the Galaxy Rangers and the Phantom Ranger boarded the Jet Jammers and entered the Megaship. As Kai entered the coordinates for the planet and Damon steered the ship, Maya walked over to Cassie, patted her on the shoulder and said, “Thank you.”
Cassie merely nodded and looked up at the Phantom Ranger, who gave a shy wave of approval.
Staring down at the writhing Karone, Trakeena rasped, “What a fool you are. Give me THIS!” Trakeena swiped away Zhane’s Digimorpher before sighing and saying, “You’re lucky I’m in a good mood, and that Psycho Silver has one more special power.”
As Trakeena still pondered where Deviot could be, she lazily told Villamax to follow the Astro Megaship. Looking down at Karone, she said, “Soon, ZHANE will be no more. But Psycho Silver…will be even greater,” she added. Karone shook her head as the four Space Rangers raised their special weapons in Booster Mode and charged toward him on the screen. Trakeena glanced at the screen, and said, “Your own creation will defeat the Galaxy Rangers AND the Space Rangers for good. HAHAHA!”

Episode 34. Good as Silver
Psycho Silver was dividing his attention among the four Rangers, slashing and blasting through each Ranger in turn. “Zhane,” Andros called, “Please stop this now! We can’t fight you!”
Psycho Silver laughed and said, “You just don’t get it. That’s why it’s so much fun. Now dance for me!” He fired a series of blasts from his Psycho Silverizer at the Space Rangers’ feet, sending them flying back. Holding his hand to his face, he unleashed a powerful blast that caused an explosion among the four Rangers. Ashley and Carlos were the two closest, and received the brunt of the blast. The two de-morphed as they hit the ground, while the other two Rangers also lay on the ground and reeled in pain. Psycho Silver approached Ashley, his Silverizer in sword mode, and said, “My first opponent shall be my last.”
As he brought his sword down to deliver the final blow to Ashley, a blast hit his face and threw him back. Psycho Silver screamed in pain and clutched at his visor, which was now cracked in the middle. The Psycho Ranger looked up to see Andros panting and holding his Astro Blaster. “Stay…away…FROM HER,” Andros yelled. “I’m sorry Zhane, but I CANNOT allow you to hurt my friend.”
“Ooh…now you’ve made me MAD! RED RANGER!!!”
Trakeena watched in glee as Red and Silver flashes of light rippled from Psycho Silver’s body. “Excellent…Psycho Red seems to be influencing Zhane as well. After all, he posed as both.” Trakeena laughed as she saw the creature growing up and out slightly for a few moments before hulking toward the Rangers. She laughed at this new creation, and then turned to Karone and taunted, “So what do you think of your boyfriend NOW?”

Episode 34. Good as Silver
“So…how close are we to the planet?” Cassie asked.
“Not far—only a few more minutes away,” Damon answered.
Five minutes later, Damon had landed the Megaship on the planet Ankia. Leo spoke up and called out, “Cassie, Leo, Phantom Ranger, Mike and I will find this warrior. You guys should stay and protect the ship.”
Kai, Maya, and Leo nodded, knowing that they had a task to accomplish as well. The Rangers elected to search the planet then stepped off the Megaship and onto the soft, sodden ground of the planet.
Mike, Leo, Cassie, and the Phantom Ranger wandered around the planet searching for the Warrior. After about ten minutes’ worth of searching, they found a large cavern, the front of which was guarded by an armored skeleton. As they prepared to enter, the skeleton held out his sword and yelled, “Halt! Who goes there?”
Cassie stepped forward and said, “Please…we seek the help of the Warrior. We need his keys, and Karone said…”
“Karone,” the skeleton spoke with a grin, “You mean…THIS KARONE?”
A purple shimmering of light revealed the former Princess of Evil, Astronema, to the Rangers. Astronema raised her Wrath Staff and summoned a legion of Quantrons to her side as Leo protested, “No! That’s not her!”
“She’s good now,” Mike added.
“She risked her life,” Cassie said pleadingly, “To tell us how to get here. Our friend Zhane, the Silver Ranger, is in trouble, and only the Warrior’s power can save him. His mutation is bad, and only the good can…”
“Only true good energy can save him,” Phantom finished for Cassie, “Provided by a truly good soul.”
The Astronema before them opened her eyes innocently and then vanished from sight after shedding a tear and lowering her staff. The Quantrons ran past the Rangers into the woods. “What you say is true,” the skeleton confirmed, “So you may pass.”
The four Rangers smiled at one another and entered the cavern. After walking for a few minutes, they spotted the stone warrior, a half naked, muscular man with red bands around his arms and head, as well as a red kilt. Looking at him, Cassie said, “Please, Warrior…Karone is sorry for what she has done to you. She…we all…need your help.”
The Warrior stood motionless.
“It’s true,” Leo continued, “She’s turned to the side of good now, and she wants you to help us. Could you please?”
The Warrior still did not move.
“Look,” Mike groaned, “Our friends are in danger. Does that mean nothing to you?” He sighed, seeing that the Warrior would not budge. The Phantom Ranger gently moved past him and said, “I think I know how to help him.” He then turned to Cassie and laughed, “Let’s just hope he doesn’t turn into another Havok, right?” Cassie laughed gently at this remark. The Phantom Ranger then removed his Power Ruby from his chest and held it to the Warrior’s face. After a few seconds, a red glow shone and blinded the Rangers. When they had regained their vision, the Warrior was as alive as they were.
“Thank you,” the Warrior said, “For freeing me from my position. I know that Karone is good, and I wish to help you all I can…in the future I will help you more…but for now, THIS,” he said, handing his twin keys to Leo, “Is all I have. Use these keys wisely, Red Ranger. We will meet again soon.”
Before the Rangers could ask any questions, they were blinded by another red flash of light, and the Warrior was gone.
The Space Rangers gasped at the horror that stood before them. It was Psycho Silver all right, but he had mutated—into his horrible, disgusting, Monster form.
The creature looked like a clown in a silver costume with big black boots, a big red nose, and black gloves. But the rainbow-colored hair, ghostly white face, long, hollow black eyes, and drooling, yellow teeth, suggested that this clown was not here to have fun. “I am Psycho Silver, Rangers—and you are now doomed!”
Trakeena laughed as Psycho monster Silver began to attack the Rangers. Karone could do nothing but shake her head and mouth the word, No, over and over again.
Cassie, Leo, Mike, and the Phantom Ranger raced back to the ship as Leo called, “Hey, we…” but was cut short when he spotted a morphed Maya, Kai, and Damon battling Quantrons. “I think it’s time to go!” Kai called to the Rangers. “Yeah, no kidding!” Damon replied. “What are these things?” Maya yelled. Leo glared back into the woods and heard the voice of the skeleton yelling, “Whoops! How’s one more test sound?” Leo and Cassie nodded at one another and cried, “Go…Galactic!” as Mike called, “Magna Power!” and the Phantom Ranger raced toward the Quantrons. The two Galaxy Rangers and Mike then charged toward the Quantrons to join the fray. The seven Rangers made quick work of the Quantrons, and then quickly raced aboard the Astro Megaship. As Leo trailed the other six Rangers, keys in hand, he heard the skeleton warrior call, “Sorry…so few people visit this planet…so I like to have some fun!” Leo shook his head and laughed before pressing a few buttons on the wall and letting the door to the Megadeck shut behind him.
The Megaship was on hyperdrive, trying to reach Terra Venture before Psycho Silver could destroy the Space Rangers. Cassie knew the race would be tight, but she didn’t want to give up faith in her friends.
“Don’t give up!” the cheery robot Alpha 6 called, “We can do it!” The Phantom Ranger placed a hand on Cassie’s shoulder and nodded his head reassuringly. All we can do now is hope, she thought.
Psycho monster Silver was utterly destroying the Rangers. No attacks seemed to affect him, and his punches and kicks seemed to have many times the strength that they had previously had. Finally, as green electricity crackled from his fingertips, he shot a powerful blast that de-morphed the final two Rangers and wounded Carlos and Ashley. As Psycho Silver leaned over them and laughed, his sour breath almost making them vomit, the Rangers closed their eyes and expected the end. However, it did not come. The four Space Rangers looked up to see Psycho monster Silver looking up at a shadow overhead. The Megaship’s lasers blasted Psycho monster Silver and hurtled him far backwards. The Rangers looked up and smiled as the seven Rangers came riding out on the five Jet Jammers, Mike in Leo’s and Phantom in Cassie’s. Leo landed his first and stared at Psycho monster Silver as he got out.
“Psycho Silver…you’ve taken over a good friend of ours, and that is unforgivable. Now you must pay.” Leo pulled out the two keys, and then swung them together, forming a shuriken. “Red Armored Ranger!” he called.
Battle armor including his Lights of Orion armor, heavy boots, a claw, and numerous lasers and missiles were loaded onto Leo. He stood tall and mechanically stomped toward Psycho Silver.
The Psycho Ranger looked up in horror and yelled, “No!”
Please, Karone thought as she watched the scene before her, please let this work!
No, no, it can’t be, Trakeena thought!
“And…” Leo called, “FIRE!”
All his lasers and missiles were fired at the Psycho Ranger at once. A massive explosion occurred, blinding all eleven Rangers, including Leo. Even Trakeena and Karone had no idea what had happened.
The Rangers looked about and coughed as the smoke from the explosion cleared. They gasped as they saw who was climbing out of the rubble.
Zhane stood there, his clothes torn and dirty, but he was definitely alive.
Trakeena shouted, “NO!” as she saw Zhane in human form. Karone seized the moment to punch Trakeena hard and grab the Digimorpher again. She teleported down to Terra Venture and hissed, “Zhane! Please help! There’s no more time.”
Zhane nodded, grabbed the Digimorpher, and cried, “I’ll show you the power of true silver, Trakeena! Let’s Rocket!”
Trakeena raised her eyes in horror as she fumbled for the remote. Seeing Zhane approach Karone, she yelled out angrily.
“Thank you, Karone,” Zhane said, “For always believing in me.”
After a loud grunt, Zhane struck the collar on Karone’s throat with his Silverizer and fell back, crackling with electricity. The collar fell to the ground and disintegrated with a silver flash of light. As Zhane fell back and de-morphed from the discharge, Karone, free from the collar permanently, fell beside him and hugged him happily. Cassie turned around to see the Phantom Ranger wave and then vanish from sight.
Trakeena angrily crushed the now useless remote in her hand. Villamax and Kegler stared at the ground awkwardly as Trakeena yelled, “DEVIOT!”
“So…now that our mission’s done, I guess you can join the Galaxy Rangers,” Andros said.
“Are you relieved that there’s no more choice to make?” T.J. asked.
Cassie smiled, and said, “I think the choice was already made. But thanks to Karone here,” Cassie added, “It’s a lot simpler.”
“Trakeena’s still gunning for you,” Carlos said, “So if you ever need us, tell us.”
“I think the role of guardian is already taken,” Cassie said, as she looked out the Megaship window wistfully, “But…I really appreciate all of you caring for me.”
“Thank you again,” Zhane said, and then, after hugging Cassie tightly, whispered, “Really.”
Ashley then walked over to Cassie and gave her a tight hug as well, saying, “We’ll miss you so much.”
Cassie wiped a tear from her eye and said, “I’ll miss you all too. But I’ve got my own mission now.”
As the five Space Rangers, Karone, and Cassie exchanged a big group hug, Cassie held Karone’s hands and said, “Karone, today you have proven that we shouldn’t judge people from their past. You were truly brave, and saved the day. But sometimes,” Cassie said, loosening the strap on her wrist, “You can’t survive by your wits alone. When you’re in trouble and in need of a friend…use this and think of me.”
Cassie unstrapped the Astro Morpher and handed it to Karone. Karone’s hands glowed with pink energy and Cassie winced as the life bond was transferred. Karone then strapped the morpher to her own wrist and said, “Thank you Cassie. We won’t forget what you have done for us anytime soon.”
As the six Rangers boarded their Galaxy Gliders and flew away, Cassie sighed and looked back at her friends. After a moment’s silence, she said, “Well, whenever I lose a team…I get a new one!” The five teens laughed and hugged her as they walked back from the Ship to their living quarters, joking and smiling all the way.
“So it’s agreed, then. I will cast the colony into your realm, and you will make me your second-in-command.”
Deviot stood in the engine room of the Scorpion Stinger, talking through a purple portal with what looked like a boat-shaped Space pirate.
“Yes,” the space buccaneer said, “And I assure you that you will obtain great power, beyond what you ever would have obtained with that bug princess of yours. You will become a great space pirate of legend, comparable to the great Space wench Divatox.”
Deviot cackled at this proposition and said, “By this time tomorrow, you will have a new fleet of slaves and a brand new general.”
“Excellent,” the pirate spoke, “Farewell, my new robotic minion!”
“Farewell, Captain Mutiny,” Deviot spoke. He laughed evilly, and said, “With the power I obtain from that buffoon, I will no longer need the cocoon! WAHAHAHA!”
From behind the entrance to the engine room, Villamax looked on. He narrowed his eyes at the robotic mischief-maker and solemnly whispered, “Traitor,” before running off to tell his queen the news.

This is a really good story. Green Senturion is obviously the master at making great fanfics compared to me. Even though I doubt the people on the T.V. show might've done this story, I think it works really great here.

As promised, here is the next new episode title!
Episode 35. Enter the Lost Galaxy
The episode being of equal importance to the original episode, it shares the same title. But will the same events happen over again? Hardly.:) While in alternate realities, some things stay the same, many things...do not. So think about this concept, and stay tuned for a preview coming later this week!;) Thanks!

Episode 35. Enter the Lost Galaxy
"What have you done Deviot?" screamed Leo, "What have you DONE?"
"All in good time, Ranger," Deviot cackled, "For right now, I am your main concern. HIYA!"
Deviot raced toward the six Rangers and began slashing them with his wrist blaster. Leo grappled with him, but Deviot quickly punched him in the gut with his normal hand and flipped him into the five other Rangers. Deviot then started blasting them mercilessly.
"Give up?" he asked, half-cockily and half-expectantly.
As he reared his laser back and prepared to fire a powerful beam, something knocked his hand down. The evil robot looked up in shock, and was surprised to suddenly be attacked by an invisible force. The ghost punched and kicked at him before throwing him to the ground. Cassie smiled beneath her visor, knowing who their mysterious helper was.
"All right, guys--I think it's time to unleash the crystals the Guardian gave us!" Kai called. He held out his hand, and the crystals materialized in front of him. "He said that they would give immense power to any being that broke them--so let's go for it!"
"NO!" the voice of the invisible being called as Kai prepared to hand out the crystals, "Don't trust him! They could be dangerous!"
"I agree," Deviot said as he staggered and got up, "Leave them...to me."
He charged past his attacker, unintentionally though happily knocking him aside, and blasted Kai as he charged the six Rangers. Kai yelled out as he released the crystals into the air. Deviot shook his outstretched hand in victory clenched his metallic fist around the five crystals.
"Let ME be the judge of how dangerous they are," Deviot laughed.
"No!" Maya called.
"Don't break those!" Damon cried.
"If you insist!" Deviot called tauntingly. Mike raised his blaster, but it was shot away by Deviot. The six teens held up their hands in protest as Deviot raised his arm and prepared to strike the precious gems against the ground.

Episode 35. Enter the Lost Galaxy
The GSA scientist stared at his computer. It seemed that deciphering the text of the ancient book had taken hours, but a loud “Download Complete!” beep from his computer awoke him. Seeing the first part of the translation complete, he spoke the strange words, “Keonta…Karova…Melanite…Hakova!”
The GSA members nearest him gasped as the book shot a powerful bolt of electricity that sent the man flying back out of his chair. As the lights above them shorted out, they looked out the windows of the Command Tower in awe as they saw lightning striking in the City Dome. And there hadn’t even been a forecast for rain that day.
On a planetoid asteroid only a few light-years from the Space colony, two shadowed figures stood and talked, watching the lightning flashes in Terra Venture.
“So it has begun,” the red one asked, “What should we do?”
“Well, thanks to our friend’s seal,” the blue one replied, “We still cannot morph. Until he returns, we cannot morph again…but we know that he and our powers will not return unless the Keonta spell is recited, and we cannot let that happen. I also fear, however,” the blue one groaned, “That my life force is weakening with his seal.”
“I feel fine,” the red one proclaimed, “For I was recently imbued with energy. Would you like me to assume your mission for you?”
“No,” the blue one breathed, “You have already done your part, as has he. He tried to protect the book, and now it is my turn. For now, my part of the mission to protect these people from entering the Lost Galaxy begins. If I fail…then you know what you must do next. Wish me luck—I hope we shall meet again soon.”
As the man teleported away in a shimmering of blue light, the red man nodded and whispered, “Good luck, old friend.”
Deviot watched in glee the sight of Terra Venture’s City Dome being assaulted with thunder and lightning. “So, someone has done part of my work for me…excellent.” Hearing footsteps, Deviot whirled around, but saw no one. Shrugging, he called, “Now it begins!” and teleported away out of the Scorpion Stinger.
Trakeena and Villamax stepped out from behind the hallway to the control room. “So, you were right about him all along,” Trakeena said slowly, shaking her head. “I should have known he couldn’t be trusted.”
“Well, what do you suggest we do, my queen?” Villamax asked.
Trakeena narrowed her eyes and said, “Well, we cannot enter the Lost Galaxy, if that’s what you mean,” she replied. She narrowed her eyes at the screen and said, “No…no, we’ll wait until he re-emerges from the Lost Galaxy…and THEN we’ll give him the punishment he deserves.” Trakeena laughed evilly, and Villamax heartily joined in.
Kai rushed to the Control Tower from his station and saw the frazzled scientists staring at the Galaxy Book, which was now once again covered by plate glass. “That thing’s EVIL,” one of the scientists rushing away said to Kai. Kai looked upon the still open Galaxy Book’s sparking pages in awe. How could this have happened, he thought. He looked up in shock to see a cloaked figure standing beside him looking down at the book. All of the GSA scientists were now out of sight.
“Phantom,” Kai started in a whisper, is that…”
“Shh…” the man cautioned as he held up his hand. “Take the book and follow me…I will explain everything.”
Unable to see his face, Kai had no choice but to assume that this character was Cassie’s mystery man in question, the Phantom Ranger. Seeing no one around him any longer, but thankful for the solitude, he committed the dirty deed of lifting the Galaxy Book from under the plate glass and following the stranger to the nearest exit. He had reserves about doing so, but his desire to protect the colony outweighed his sense of duty, and he took it.
In an alley outside the Control Tower, the stranger said, “Now give the book to me.”
“Phantom, I know it’s you…Just show me your…uh…helmet,” Kai said, having been told by Cassie of the mysterious habits of the Phantom Ranger.
“I think you confuse me with someone I do not know,” the stranger said removing his hood to reveal long dreadlocks with blue knots.
“No, I don’t know you,” a voice came from behind him. The Phantom Ranger then materialized next to the Blue Ranger. “Ranger, who is this man, and why have you brought him this evil book?”
“You saw…” Kai started.
“I saw everything,” the Phantom Ranger interrupted, “Including the havoc that book was causing just a few minutes before this man appeared. I have no doubt that he had something to do with it.”
“Indeed I did,” the man said, “I am the Guardian of the Galaxy Book, and a foolish person started to read a very evil spell that…”
“So you ARE familiar with this book and its evil ways!” the Phantom Ranger accused.
“You don’t understand,” the Guardian stated, “I am trying to help. That spell was once helpful, casting people into our protected pocket dimension, the Lost Galaxy…but it has since become invaded by an evil Space pirate and his crew. Now the Keonta Spell is a death wish. I and others have been trying to prevent others from going there, and…”
The Guardian was interrupted as Deviot appeared in front of the trio. “Blue Ranger, thank you for doing my dirty work for me!” the nefarious robot called. “Now, give the book to me.”
“So you WERE in cahoots with Trakeena!” the Phantom accused.
“No,” the Guardian started, “How…”
But Deviot blasted him before he could get his thoughts out. Struck in his bare chest, the man fell to the ground. Kai leaned down to help him, and was shocked to see blue sweat oozing from the man’s forehead. Deviot used the distraction to wrap the Guardian’s dropped cloak around the Galaxy Book and teleport away. As Kai whispered, “I know you’re for real,” the Guardian whispered, “I cannot explain…my condition now…but…we will meet again. Take…these crystals…of immense…power…break them. Now…I must go.” With a shimmering of blue light, the Guardian vanished.
As Kai clutched the crystals, the Phantom Ranger stepped forward and said, “I still do not trust that stranger…or that book he claims ties to.” Kai looked up at him, and after a moment of silence, prepared to say something, but was interrupted by a beep from his Transmorpher. Kai put his mouth to his wrist and called, “Go ahead, Alpha!”
“Aiy-Aiy-Aiy! Kai, go to the Mountain Dome, quick! Deviot’s got the Galaxy Book, and it looks like he’s about to do something big with it!”
Kai looked at the Phantom Ranger angrily and narrowed his eyes, while the Phantom Ranger gave a disapproving sigh, as though he knew he was fighting a losing battle, and warped away. Kai looked around to make sure no one was looking at him first before crying, “GO…Galactic!”
He arrived in the Mountain Dome to see the four other Rangers being struck by lightning bolts. Deviot held the sparking Galaxy Book nearby while guffawing heartily. He had clearly already done half of his work. “Reality’s turned…time is tossed…as Galaxies found…become Galaxies LOST!” he cried.
The sky overhead darkened, and more thunder and lightning ensued before the weather calmed down. Deviot looked up happily and cackled, “Who would have thought that such a good spell could be used for such EVIL? And so efficiently, too?”
The fact that nothing immediate appeared to have changed, other than the calming of the skies overhead, particularly distressed Leo. Something was terribly wrong—he could feel it.
"He said that they would give immense power to any being that broke them—solet's go for it!"
The crystals shattered upon hitting the ground and released numerous white flashes of light that blinded the Rangers. When they could see again, they were shocked to see a horribly mutated form of Deviot before them. He now had long yellow tendrils emerging from his head and limbs, and his face was horribly distorted, as if he’d fallen into an acid. However, he seemed rather pleased with the results of his evildoing.
“Rangers…I totally overpower you now!” he cried.
“We’ll see,” Damon replied, “Let’s bust out the Quasar Launchers, guys!” The Rangers summoned their cannon-like weapons and fired upon Deviot, but he caught the blasts and threw them back at them, causing a series of small explosions. “Care to try again?” he called out.
He was surprised to be blasted by a black laser beam. Cassie was pleased to see the Phantom Ranger staggering into view. Mike fired the Magna Blaster at Deviot and joined in the fray. As Phantom and Mike grappled with Deviot, Kai yelled to his teammates, “New plan, guys! Time for the lights!” His teammates nodded in agreement as the five of them called, “Lights of Orion, Activate!”
The five teens donned their armor, and Deviot snickered happily. As Deviot threw Mike away, Phantom turned invisible and began striking Deviot.
“Phantom,” Kai called, “We may disagree about trusting the Guardian…but let’s at least trust each other. Come on now, guys!”
The five Rangers disappeared and transformed into shining spheres of energy. Deviot suddenly turned still as the five spheres approached him. To Kai’s relief, Phantom rematerialized next to Mike. Deviot swatted at the five spheres of energy before they could gang up on him however, and they turned back into their normal forms, falling into the dust.
“Any more bright ideas?” Deviot asked the five Rangers fallen on the ground.
“One,” Leo said, as he staggered to get up. He opened up his fists, and in each, a Red Armor Key magically appeared. “Red Armored Ranger power,” Leo called as he swung the keys in the air and then clicked them into their shuriken formation.
Leo donned his armor once more and then clanked forward fully armed. “Red Armored Ranger!” he called out triumphantly.
Deviot cowered a little, but yelled out, “You do not frighten me, Red Ranger!”
“I will,” Leo called, “When you’re back to being regular old you.” Leo pulled the triggers on the handles around his hands and yelled, “Fire!” An array of missiles and laser fire shot Deviot as he cried out angrily. When the smoke from the explosion had cleared, Deviot was crumpled on the ground, sputtering and choking.
“You may have defeated me, Rangers…but the damage has already been done to your precious colony! See for yourselves!” And with that remark, Deviot teleported away.
The six Rangers, sans Phantom, who had disappeared once more, powered down. Alpha then called to Kai, “He’s right, I’m afraid! Head to the tunnel to the City Dome!” The six Rangers complied and entered the tunnel, amazed and horrified at what they saw.
Rather than seeing the deep fabric of space overhead, they saw an unfamiliar rainbow blur of stars and sky overhead. “Whoa,” Mike said simply, summarizing everyone’s thoughts. “Where are we?” Cassie asked as she and the other continued gazing above them.
Kai, remembering the words the Guardian had spoken earlier, replied solemnly, “We’re in the Lost Galaxy.”

Episode 36. Power of the Ancients
Kai, remembering the words the Guardian had spoken earlier, replied solemnly, “We’re in the Lost Galaxy.”
Shaking his head in disbelief, he said, “I’ve got to talk to the Commander with Mike. You guys talk with Alpha. We’ll meet in our quarters in an hour. All right?”
The five Rangers nodded before turning around and going their separate ways. Leo, Cassie, Damon, and Maya walked to the holding bay of the Astro Megaship to see whether Alpha had an opinion on the situation, while Mike and Kai ran from their tunnel straight to the City Dome. Once there, Mike looked up at the Control Tower. Up in the sky, it was a perfect sunny day—the thunder and lightning had long since stopped, and no one would have guessed that on the outside, in space, everything was askew. Kai nodded to Mike and the two ran toward the Control Tower and prepared to take the lift up to Commander Stanton’s office.
Commander Stanton was currently gazing out into space at the rainbow colored sky before him. The sight was beautiful, he conceded to himself—but it was unknown. And the unknown generally meant danger in the intricate fabrics of space, he knew. He and his subordinate officers continued to gaze out at the odd rift of space before them. Commander Stanton’s mind began to wonder as he moved his eyes across the window, thinking how he’d better take everything he saw in before he and the high-ranking councilors of the Galactic Space Alliance had their meeting. As he blinked his eyes at the neon pattern of light outside the Control Room windows, the colors began to swirl and fade into a gray, mountainous setting. He quickly glanced around, confused, before a silvery specter appeared in his sight and began to speak with him.
“Please…go away,” the ghost pleaded with him.
The Commander stared in disbelief at the pale, translucent figure in a yellowing robe that stood before him. He seemed to be nothing more than a dream—but then, what was the rainbow spacescape he had been looking at moments before this intrusion?
“Leave this place, or you will perish,” the ghost continued.
Mike was the first to reach the Control Room. None of his fellow commanding officers so much as blinked as he entered the room. They were intently focusing on the odd design of the realm they had entered. Only when Mike began to shake the sleeping Commander did the fellow officers come and attempt to pull him off.
“Wake up,” Captain Stanton heard from behind him. He turned and looked to see no one standing there…but when he turned back around, the ghost was not there either.
“What are you all doing?!” Kai called as he rushed into the room and saw the tussle between the officers and the Captain. He managed to peel all the officers, including Mike, off the Commander and halt the commotion just as the Commander slowly turned around, a placid expression on his face.
“I’m sorry…I think I dozed off,” the Commander said dreamily, “All of you…I would like to speak to Mike alone…would you mind exiting the room for a moment?”
The grumbling officers, Kai included, retreated from the Control Room and shut the doors behind him. Mike breathed heavily and glanced at Commander Stanton expectantly. “So…what’s up?”
“Filth!” Captain Mutiny yelled as he used his hook hand to whirl around the man in the yellow robes who had previously been pleading with Commander Stanton. “You and your dream doings again…if only I had a monster with the power of dreams that you wield. Who was that you were talking to just now? Speak or I shall…”
“I’ll never tell you!” the man spat at the angry Captain.
“Well…looks like another ship has entered the Lost Galaxy,” Captain Mutiny smirked, staring at the man who was glaring at having his intentions discovered once more. He angrily tried to fight off a squad of orange, expressionless pirates known as Swabbies, but they outnumbered him and took him down. As he glared up angrily at the boat-shaped buccaneer, Captain Mutiny laughed, “Thanks for the tip off. To the stocks with you again!” As the Swabbies dragged him off, the man called, “He won’t trust you! I am sure of that!” Captain Mutiny pondered these words and thought, Maybe I do need to make myself a little more approachable…but how? As he wondered this, he walked toward his castle and prepared to search for this new spacecraft that had entered his kingdom.
“What’s up?” Mike asked again, a little unnerved by the Commander’s silence.
“What’s up?” Commander Stanton echoed. “I think you know why you’re here, Mike.”
“Sir?” Mike asked uneasily.
“Come on, Mike…the unexplained, prolonged absence, and now the constant running away…didn’t you wonder why I let you off so easily?”
“Well, I…”
“We both know, Mike,” Commander Stanton interrupted, “That you are the Red Galaxy Ranger.”
Mike stared at the Commander in shock. How could he have come so close to the truth? Maybe he would have to play along. Holding back a laugh, Mike asked, “So…you…are going to keep my secret, right?”
Commander Stanton smiled and said, “Of course…in fact, I wanted to let you know that we are relying on you and your fellow Rangers to continue to help protect the colony. We owe you for much, but our journey is not yet over. You will help us, right?”
Mike feigned a cough so as to release his laughter before commenting, “Yes, sir…we will protect you.”
Commander Stanton shook Mike’s hand and smiled, saying, “Thank you…Red Ranger.”
Mike walked out the door, grabbed Kai and began to tell him his story when they were out of earshot of the other officers. As Kai laughed at hearing the details, Mike wondered why fate just couldn’t stop pinning him as the Red Galaxy Ranger.
Meanwhile, Commander Stanton still believed his judgment to have been correct, and chuckled to himself. As he began to ponder what new sorts of threats would greet them in this strange place, a transmission occurred on the screen in front of him.
“Commander,” the boat-shaped creature began as the transmission went through, “I am an inhabitant of this galaxy and I believe that you are not supposed to be here. I have something that could get you out, though. Meet me outside…the, uh…where are you?”
“The Control Tower,” the Commander replied.
“Very good,” the buccaneer said, “Then I shall meet you outside there in an hour.”
The screen shut off and Commander Stanton smiled, thinking about all the solved problems and averted crises that he had negotiated that day. My daughter will be proud, he thought, as he casually strode away.
Kai had raced ahead of Mike to begin dinner. He was shocked to arrive outside their living quarters and see the Guardian standing next to a withered Asian man blocking the entrance. Mike arrived a few moments later and looked at the Warrior standing next to an old man in dreadlocks and gasped. Neither Mike nor Kai recognized the opposite man. At once they blurted the two’s names, just as the four other Rangers crowded behind them.
“So, Alpha didn’t know much,” Leo called, “Now what’s the hold…whoa,” Leo demanded, “What’s going on here?”
“I am the Warrior,” the Asian man dressed in red proclaimed proudly.
“And I am the Guardian,” the tall, Caucasian man with dreadlocks, dressed in a blue cloak proclaimed as well. “Together…we are…”
“The Galaxy Defenders,” they stated simultaneously.
Seeing the confusion on the six teens’ faces, the Warrior added, “Or, you may better know us as…Power Rangers.” As he said this, he raised his wrists, and with a flash of red light, two red morphers nearly identical to Mike’s Magna Morphers appeared on his wrists. With flashes of blue light, the Guardian summoned his own set of blue morphers.
“But that’s not possible,” Mike stated, “WE’RE the Power Rangers.”
“Have you never met another team of Rangers before?” the Guardian proposed defensively.
The Warrior chuckled before saying, “We forget, my friend, how dated we are. I suppose that in comparison to these young teens…we, in fact, are ANCIENT Rangers.”
Maya gazed at the two in amazement as they performed a few wrist gestures and quickly muttered an indecipherable phrase, transforming into Power Rangers after being enveloped by swirling vortexes of light and energy.
The Warrior was the Red Ancient Ranger:

While the Guardian was the Blue Ancient Ranger:
http://www.supersentai.com/database/1993_dairanger/images/blue.jpg
Cassie shook her head and turned back to the others. They all exchanged confused glances and quickly huddled into their living quarters after ushering in the two Ancient Rangers first. Damon then shut the doors before anyone could walk around the corner and see what had happened. Mike then approached the two Rangers as they de-morphed and said, “Could you please explain…exactly who you are and what it is that you want?”
The Guardian and the Warrior nodded at one another. They gestured for the teens to sit down, which they did, five of them in chairs, and Maya in her hammock. The Warrior cleared his throat, unofficially designating himself to be the first to speak.
“3000 years ago,” the Warrior began, “A war erupted in the Lost Galaxy in which you are now. Scorpius and his army were there, as well as the dreaded Captain Mutiny…whom I am sure you will meet soon.”
“We fought hard, and won the battle with the help of our four teammates,” the Guardian continued, “But in the process, we lost one of our allies and our zords.”
“But new zords were born,” the Warrior interrupted, “New zords that you seem to possess. The life’s energy that left our zords seemed to empower five new ones to replace them.”
“So…the Lost Galactabeasts belong to you?” Damon asked.
“And to our teammates,” the Guardian said, “Who…are not with us.”
“Where are they?” Kai asked.
The Warrior sighed, and said, “Scorpius was not much of a threat after we had defeated him in battle. Still, we placed the Quasar Sabers, magical weapons forged for us though unused by us, in the stone, in case anyone should ever need them. And indeed, you did. You claimed the powers, and we—as well as Scorpius—escaped from the Lost Galaxy into your own after the sabers were claimed.”
“Our partners did not,” the Guardian added, “When we two and a third member of our team left the Lost Galaxy, two remained behind. With Scorpius gone, Mutiny began his reign of terror again. And we fear that with only two of them…they are…no more.”
“So…you have two who stayed behind…one who was lost three thousand years ago…and that leaves one more besides you two,” Leo derived.
The Guardian sighed as well, before saying, “He, unfortunately, was the one with the closest ties to the Galaxy Book, a book recording all of our weapons and the future Rangers’ weapons. He wrote most of it, being prophetic and all, and…well, it was not meant to exist outside of the Lost Galaxy. We all began to slowly die in your dimension, and what was worse was that the Galaxy Book had trapped our powers and our teammates’ inside its pages and would only release them to us when the Keonta Spell had been recited. While I began to slowly lose my life force, and the Warrior turned to stone…”
“I thought Astronema did that to you? But then…chronologically…” Cassie trailed off.
“It is not possible,” the Warrior completed for her with a smile, “Yes, I took myself and my keys to Ankia and told the skeleton warrior, the soul inhabitant of the planet, that the most powerful force in the galaxy had caused my misfortune, and to use an illusion of him or her to ward off those who were unworthy. As Astronema had been most recently at the top, and no one had bothered to inform the skeleton of current events, he supposed that she was the most recent—and presumably current—villain. So, when my life force was gone, I turned to stone. And you Rangers were able to save me.”
“While, since I had written the least of anyone, since my job was to protect the book,” the Guardian continued, “I lost my life force at a much slower rate. But now that we are back here, we are back to normal, and we…”
“Still haven’t told us about your teammate,” Mike interrupted.
The Warrior narrowed his eyes at Mike’s impetuousness before saying, “His fate is an unfortunate one. Having been the main writer of the Galaxy Book, his fate was the worst of the three. He…mutated into this horrible creature. He went crazy, and began killing everyone aboard our ship, believing them to want to steal the book. The Guardian went into hiding elsewhere, while I fled to Ankia and was petrified, and…well, now you know our story.”
“It is our shared destiny,” the Guardian said, swallowing, “Of both present and former defenders of the Galaxy…to defeat the evil that is Captain Mutiny once and for all, and to make our dimension a safe one for living in again. But…only when all our teammates have been found can that happen…this I know. The Galaxy Book will be key in our victory, though for it ties us all together. I protect it.”
“And I forged the weapons in it,” the Warrior said. “Our third teammate wrote it, and the two others…well, now is not the time for them.”
“I have a feeling…that they’re still alive, and waiting to rejoin you,” a voice spoke from the shadows.
The eight Rangers turned to the hallway, where the Phantom Ranger now stood.
Cassie shook her head and said, “You always do make quite the entrance. How long were you listening?”
The Phantom Ranger chuckled before saying, “Long enough to know that I should not have mistrusted the Guardian. I was familiar with his mutated teammate’s actions, and judged him for it. He lived quietly on Eltar until he met up with you Rangers, and though he did nothing but hibernate to preserve his energy, I never quite trusted him until now…and for misjudging you before, I am sorry.”
The Guardian rose and shook the Phantom Ranger’s hand as he said, “It is all right. We are now a team. And the team will continue to grow, hopefully, the closer we come to defeating Mutiny and letting you leave the Lost Galaxy.”
“So then,” Maya, who had been listening intently to the Ancient Rangers for the past while, started “We have more alien Rangers. This I could get used to.”
“Together,” the Warrior stated as the nine Rangers put their hands into a circle, “We will defeat Mutiny, find our teammates, and allow you to return home. Agreed?”
“Agreed,” the eight Rangers echoed.
“And, now that we’re a team,” Cassie added, “We should stay together, so that there’s less of a chance of our getting hurt. Phantom Ranger,” she said, turning to the only morphed one among them, “You and your little ship will be a target in the Lost Galaxy, unless you stay with us. Warrior, Guardian” she then said, turning to the Ancient Rangers, “You too have nowhere to stay, I take it. We have room for a few more aboard the Astro Megaship, so…guys…is it okay for them to say?”
The five other teens looked around hesitantly, a little taken aback by Cassie’s presumptuousness. However, knowing that her solution was best, they slowly nodded in agreement. Cassie turned to the two Ancient Rangers, and then to the Phantom Ranger, and asked, “Do you accept?”
The Phantom Ranger looked down at the ground, and then up at Cassie, before slowly nodding his head at her. The two Ancient Rangers proudly nodded their heads as well.
“Now,” Cassie said, as Mike, Kai, and Leo escorted the three to their respective rooms, while Kai began to make dinner, “Are we really a team of Power Rangers.”
And, she thought to herself as Maya strode away behind the Phantom Ranger, as a good teammate, I should get to know all my teammates and their faces…including the Phantom Ranger’s. She then giggled to herself giddily and quickly pranced off to think of a plan to catch his unmasked.

Episode 37. Phantom of a Chance
Commander Stanton strode out of the Control Tower and looked around. No one was in sight. He looked down at his watch—exactly an hour has passed since he had received the transmission from the strange space alien. He was about to walk right back inside instead of dealing with a time-wasting moron when he heard great wind blowing above in the air. He looked up to see a ship that looked like it was made for the sea descending. It landed about thirty yards away from him, and from the stern leapt the same creature to which he had been talking earlier.
“Commander Stanton, a pleasure!” Captain Mutiny bellowed as he approached the human officer, “I am Captain…” he started, but then stopped, thinking for a moment as to how to make himself more approachable, “Peace…and I have come to help you escape this place.”
“Yes…we talked over the transmission, Captain Peace,” Commander Stanton said listlessly, “So…what aid did you have in mind for us?”
“A wondrous spirit whose magic can create a portal back to your world…would you like its assistance?”
“If it will help,” Commander Stanton said with a shrug of his shoulders.
“Excellent,” Captain Mutiny said as he turned to walk back toward his ship, “I shall return in two hours with it.”
“Oh, and Captain Peace…err, Captain Peace…” Commander Stanton called.
Captain Mutiny quickly whirled around and cried, “Err…what?”
“Please try to be on time next time,” Commander Stanton said curtly before turning and reentering the Control Tower.
Captain Mutiny grumbled as he leapt onto his ship’s deck and took over the mast. That is the least of your worries, Commander, he thought to himself as he steered his ship back toward his castle.
Midnight. Perfect, Cassie thought. Everyone, including the Ancient Rangers, had gone to sleep already. The one most important to her, however, was the Phantom Ranger. They had been chatting casually just a few hours before, and everyone thought that she had gone to bed around that time. Now Phantom was entering his bedroom, and Cassie quickly leapt out of bed and tiptoed down the hall toward his bedroom. He has to sleep de-morphed, she thought. Her suspicions were confirmed by an audible whisper of “Power Down!” and a black flash of light shining from the Phantom’s room. This is it, Cassie thought.
She tiptoed quickly toward his room but heard the door closing. She then broke out into a sprint and was devastated to see the Phantom Ranger’s bare hand waving to her as the door closed right in front of her face. “You’ll have to get up earlier than that if you want to see me de-morphed…I’ve played this game before,” he called. Cassie smirked at the closed door and thought, if it’s early he wants, early he’ll get. She then turned around to see the seven other rangers staring angrily at her, looking groggy.
“Uh…I couldn’t sleep?” Cassie said, shrugging her shoulders. The seven Rangers stared at her for a moment longer before returning to their rooms in a huff, having been awakened by her pounding feet. Cassie inhaled deeply, and then returned to her room to plot out her next invasion.
“So, my new general,” Mutiny called as he patted Deviot on the back, “How goes it?”
“Quite excellently, Captain,” Deviot replied, “A few more touches and…there…it’s all ready to capture Terra Venture and to defeat the Rangers.”
“Combining ghosts and machine…what a brilliant idea! I’m glad I thought of it,” Captain Mutiny bellowed with a laugh.
“It was my idea first,” Deviot mumbled, but then quickly covered up by stepping back and gesturing to the large, shadowed creature. “This is the Hydraingia monster…and it will be sure to cause the Rangers a world of hurt.”
Six O’ Clock in the morning, Cassie thought. Early enough for you, Phantom? He was sure to be getting up soon. And when he did, she would catch his unmasked face.
She tiptoed toward his room quietly once more. At the corner, she saw that the door had been opened. Yes! He was probably just getting up. Cassie quickened her speed and approached the door yelling, AHA! But no one was there. The bed sheets were turned over, and there was no sign of the Phantom Ranger in sight. Cassie looked around in confusion and then nodded her head when she heard the water turning on the bathroom. He had beaten her to the punch and was now taking a shower.
Downtrodden, Cassie looked down and sighed. She then turned around and almost screamed when she came face to face with Maya. “Don’t you sleep?” Cassie hissed.
“Not much,” Maya whispered, “Plus, that “AHA!” kinda got me up.”
“Oh…sorry,” Cassie apologized.
“So…what’s with you and the odd hours?” Maya asked.
“Well…see, the Phantom Ranger has never shown his face to me…and I really want to see it, so…”
“Say no more,” Maya whispered, “Where is he now?”
“In the shower,” Cassie replied.
“Then what are you waiting for?” Maya asked, “You can catch him as he’s coming out.”
Cassie stared at Maya in shock, but Maya simply smiled back. She’s either really slutty, or really clueless, Cassie thought. But either way, it’s a good idea. The two walked around the corner and waited in front of the bathroom for several minutes until they heard the faucets turn off. Cassie clapped her hands and Maya held her finger to her mouth as they heard the footsteps of the Phantom coming.
They looked in and saw the Phantom Ranger, half-naked, walking out of the shower. He was rubbing his dirty blonde hair dry with his head bent, and he was wearing a gray towel around his waste. Wow, Cassie thought, he’s got a nice body. She admired his muscular arms and legs and defined six-pack lovingly. Maya, having never seen a man’s bare torso before, giggled, but then covered her mouth when she realized her mistake. The Phantom Ranger moved his head along the floor and then cried, “Girls!” as he spotted their feet. Quickly, he grabbed his towel and wrapped it around his face as he stood up. Cassie stared at the uncovered red gem, the Power Ruby, indented between his pecs. Then she looked down at the other uncovered part of his body, and screamed as the Phantom Ranger then screamed in recognition of what he had done. He quickly raced back into the bathroom with one face on the towel and one hand over his private area as the girls stared after him in amazement.
“Nice jewels,” Maya remarked sultrily as the Phantom Ranger strode away quickly butt-naked and slammed the door to the bathroom shut.
“MAYA!” Cassie yelled slapping her arm angrily.
“What? I was talking about the Power Ruby…” Maya muttered, bringing her pinky to her mouth and giving Cassie an innocent look. Cassie then looked up at the door as she heard a call of “Phantom Power!” coming from the bathroom. She then watched as the door opened, and the Phantom Ranger, staring straight ahead, tersely remarked, “Ladies,” before quickly walking away down the hall without giving so much as a hand wave.
Cassie and Maya continued to giggle uncontrollably as their Transmorphers beeped. The two lowered their heads to their morphers and asked, “What’s up, Alpha?” to which the sentient robot replied, “A really big ghost-like creature is attacking the City Dome! Wake the other Rangers and hurry!” Cassie groaned and looked up at Maya as she said, “Man, I am definitely not going to be the most popular Ranger today.”
After much struggling and bumping, the nine Rangers arrived in the City Dome and confronted the Hydraingia creature. The two Ancient Rangers, no longer running, looked at the morphed Mike curiously, before staring up at their opponent. It was a long, translucent, snake with flowers dotting its body. It had two silver horns and red, menacing eyes. When the rangers looked up at it, it screamed, baring two long rows of yellow teeth, and lunged its head toward the Rangers.
The nine Rangers leapt away as the creature lowered its mouth to the ground and began sucking up energy. The Rangers stared in puzzlement, wondering what was its purpose, before the Phantom Ranger cried, “It’s trying to completely dismantle Terra Venture by disabling all of its electricity! If the colony shuts down and becomes inhabitable, everyone will have no choice but to surrender to whoever sent this thing!” The Rangers nodded in agreement, knowing what they had to do. The Ancient Rangers, the Phantom Ranger, and Mike stood aside as the five other Rangers cried, “Transdaggers!” They then held the five daggers together and screamed, “Star Formation!” The attack struck the creature in its head, but it did not cease its energy sucking. However, it did become annoyed, and picked up its tail and slapped at the five Galaxy Rangers, knocking them aside.
“This creature must have a weakness,” the Guardian said, “But what can it be?”
“Maybe my armor will help!” Leo cried.
“No, hotshot,” the Warrior answered, “Your armor only works on mutated creatures. Its power is wasted on anything else. I grant you this creature has had its power magnified, but it still maintains its original form.”
“Then what do we do?” the Phantom Ranger answered.
“There’s nothing you can do! Hydraingia is invincible!” a voice called from above. A brown, skull-faced warrior with horns armed with a mace stood atop a building watching Hydraingia. He laughed maniacally. “This creature has been sent courtesy of Captain Mutiny to defeat you!”
Captain Stanton watched this scene and thought, So Captain Peace doesn’t exist. The Commander remembered fleeing into the Control Tower after the box with this…thing in it had arrived. He now knew that Captain…Mutiny was no friend of theirs. As he watched the lights flickering in the Control Room, he thought, Please help us Mike!
“It is as I thought,” the Warrior cried, “This creature is Captain Mutiny’s doing.”
“And you,” the Guardian answered, “You are Barbarax.”
“Indeed,” Barbarax answered, “And here I come!” He leapt past the draining creature and charged toward the nine Rangers. But these Rangers were not about to take any crap when the colony was in danger. The Galaxy Rangers slashed him with their Sabers, Mike and Phantom blasted him with their lasers, and the Ancient Rangers brought him down to the ground. “Speak,” the Warrior cried, “How do we defeat this evil?”
“I’ll never tell you,” Barbarax spat.
“You will if your life depends on it,” the Guardian cried as he wrapped his hand around Barbarax’s throat, “Now…how…do we…defeat it?” he yelled, practically crushing Barbarax’s neck with his tight grip.
“Flower…power…lots…of it…” Barbarax gasped. As he was released, he swung at the Rangers surrounding him with his mace. He then leapt up and said, “Captain Mutiny won’t forgive you for this…or me…” He then looked down and quickly looked up as he teleported away.
“Well, Cassie, as our resident flower user, it’s up to you to beat this thing!” Damon cried.
“Me? But I…”
“Come on, Cassie, you can do it!” Kai encouraged.
“We’re not all that mad at you,” Mike said, “And the colony needs your help.”
Cassie nodded and called, “Hey ugly! Look this way!” Hydraingia stopped its draining and looked at the Rangers. The eight other Rangers grouped behind her as she called, “Eat this!” With the strength of the whole team backing her, she fired a powerful floral blast at Hydraingia, bringing it to the ground. The ghostly snake gasped as a surge of energy flew back into the hole it had torn in Terra Venture’s core. It then exploded in a flash of petals and fire.
“Well done, Mike,” said Captain Stanton as the lights in the Control Room returned to normal, “Well done.”
The fight was not over, however. From the rubble arose Hydraingia, reborn as a giant, and ready to fight again. Cassie looked at the other Rangers and muttered as she clasped her hands together, “So, uh…zords…would be good right now.” The other Rangers shook their heads and called, “Galactabeasts, arise!” Cassie shrugged and called, “Galactabeast…arise!” Mike laughed and then called, “Torozord, Arise!” Upon seeing the Torozord, the Warrior turned to the Guardian and nodded. The Guardian exchanged the nod, but said nothing.
Within a few minutes, the Galaxy Megazord and Defender Torozord formation sequences were complete. However, as Hydraingia batted the two around with its tail and head, the Rangers quickly realize that they were being overpowered. The Ancient Rangers, seeing their comrades at a disadvantage, said, “We must help them!”
“Centaurus,” the Warrior called.
“Stratoforce,” the Guardian cried.
But no one came. The two looked at one another in surprise. Phantom Ranger took his cue and said, “Fortunately, my zord does work. Artillatron, let’s go!”
From out of the sky, the Turbo Transport descended and landed next to the Galaxy Megazord as the Phantom Ranger teleported into the cockpit. As Artillatron’s cannons materialized in the Galaxy Megazord’s hands, Cassie said, “Just like the good old days!” Phantom Ranger called from his cockpit, “Cassie—transfer your energy into the cannons, and the ensuing blast may destroy this monster!” Cassie nodded to her teammates as they cried out, “Artillery Power!” The four other Rangers placed their hands on Cassie’s back as she poured all her morphing energy into her console. After fifteen seconds of this draining, she de-morphed, and a flowery blast emerged from the two Artillery Cannons. Hydraingia screeched as the attack tore through its body and completely wiped it from existence. The Ancient Rangers were happy, but couldn’t help but wonder they the Galactabeasts hadn’t answered their call.
A little bit later, as the team of nine walked back toward their living quarters, Cassie stopped the Phantom Ranger, who reappeared once he saw that no civilians were around. “Look,” Cassie said, “I…”
The Phantom Ranger held up his hand and said, “One day, Cassie when the time is right, but…that day is not today.”
Cassie cocked her head and sighed as she followed the Phantom Ranger into their living quarters. The two gasped when they saw the six Galaxy Rangers and the two Ancient Rangers poised for battle against some ugly green mutant Cassie had never seen before.
“What are you doing here?” Leo and the Warrior cried simultaneously.
“You know him?” Kai and the Warrior asked simultaneously.
“He’s that creature who got destroyed in the explosion of that ship where we found the Galaxy Book!” Mike yelled.
“He’s also,” the Warrior started, “the Keeper.”
“Who?” Cassie asked.”
“The Keeper,” the Guardian answered, “or, as we better know him, the Green Ancient Ranger.”

Episode 38. Keeping the Faith
“The Green Ancient Ranger? How is that possible?” Leo stammered.
“Did we not tell you that he, being the main writer of the Galaxy Book, was affected the most when we left the Lost Galaxy?” the Guardian asked.
“Yeah, but…I never imagined that he’d look like…this,” Mike replied.
The creature raised its hand and ran toward Leo, who grappled with the creature before throwing him to the ground.
The creature hissed at Leo, causing him to back up in fear. The Warrior turned to Leo and said, “Use your keys, quickly! They are the only tools that will enable you to save our friend!”
Leo nodded and called, “Go Galactic!” Upon morphing, the creature charged him, but the Warrior and the Guardian dragged him back. Leo then transformed into his armored form with a call of “Red Armored Ranger!” Next, he used the machine’s claw to pull the creature in close as it writhed and pushed, hoping to get away. Finally, Leo pulled the triggers and caused a huge explosion that blinded the eight Rangers watching and prevented them from knowing what was going on.
The eight Rangers looked up to see Leo, his visor cracked, staring at a green cloaked man on the floor.
“Not the smartest thing you could have done,” the Warrior said, “Though I’ll grant you it was effective.”
The Phantom Ranger laughed at this remark, as Leo de-morphed with a call of “Power Down!”
Now all nine of the Rangers’ attentions were turned to the tenth Ranger among them, the Keeper. He slowly rose to reveal the face of a weathered, but strong-looking old man with a bald head and strong, dark features. He bowed to all of the Rangers and said, “Hello…new friends and old…I am the Keeper. Thank you for freeing me from that most awful state I was in.”
“What happened?” Damon asked eagerly.
The Keeper eyed his two friends and said, “Did you not already inform the Rangers of our incident and our mission?”
“Nothing too detailed,” the Warrior said, “Would you like to clear a few things up for them?”
“I would be honored,” said the Keeper. “So, my young friends…as my two teammates have no doubt told you, I am the Keeper, and my main function on the team was as writer of the Galaxy Book, a tome which included the visions of another teammate of ours, our current knowledge of the Lost Galaxy, and the powers of all of us together to assure that the book wasn’t handed to the wrong sorts of people.”
“That didn’t work,” Kai said abruptly, “Deviot got a hold of the book and brought us into this place.”
“The Keonta Spell…an incantation that seemed so purposeful at the time of the war, yet, looking back on it, we should have seen…” the Keeper trailed off wistfully. “Well, as with all of us, our powers wane outside of our home, the Lost Galaxy. Our life forces, our morphing powers, and tied to both of those factors, the Galaxy Book. I am not surprised that this evil being you speak of managed to wield the book.”
“Can you just explain,” Cassie said, “What is up with this book in the first place?”
The Keeper sighed, and said, “Well…it begins long ago when we first obtained our powers. We were a fighting force recruited to fight Captain Mutiny and his minions. We began writing the Galaxy Book when one of our teammates, the Seer, began receiving visions from the future.”
“Visions?” Maya asked, now very interested in the conversation.
“Visions of battles to come and weapons we would soon hold,” the Keeper said, “And, because all of the information seemed so vital when he told it, we decided to record it all in a volume…the Galaxy Book.”
“From this point on, we each had a function on the team. The Seer would have these visions, and I would write them down. The Guardian would protect the Book, while the Warrior would make the teams’ weapons so that we could continue defending our galaxy. Our final member added her own spells and interpretations to the Galaxy Book.”
“Not our final member,” the Warrior stated, “You’re forgetting the Defender.”
“Ah yes,” the Keeper remarked, “The most formidable fighter on our team. Ah, he was quite a man, he was. Unfortunately, he was killed in battle, and I had thought…”
“That he would live again, as the Seer predicted,” the Guardian stated, “And indeed he does.”
“Who is he?” the Phantom Ranger asked, legitimately confused.
“You, Mike,” the Warrior stated, “You carry on the powers of our sixth teammate, the Magna Defender, who we thought was destroyed long ago.”
“He died, and passed on his powers to me,” Mike said.
“Then clearly, you are a person very worthy of using his power,” the Warrior replied. “And the five of you are clearly worthy to be wielding our newer powers, as you were the only ones able to draw the Quasar Sabers from the stone.
Leo shifted uncomfortably as the Warrior said this, but the Warrior did not seem to notice. The Warrior then continued to say, “You carry on the legacy of us five in the sense that when our zords lost their lives, their life’s energy was passed on to five new animals…your Galactabeasts, who can be summoned thanks to the Transdaggers and the Quasar Sabers…both of which I forged.”
“And both of which I recorded, as per the Seer’s predictions,” the Keeper said.
Mike and the other Rangers smiled as they thought about the legacy each of them was carrying on. Maya, however, was particularly provoked by the Warrior’s statement about the Galactabeasts, and so decided to speak up.
“Well…your Galactabeasts that you thought dead…are actually alive,” she said, “They were rebuilt by Deviot. We brought them onto our side, but since you arrived…they haven’t seemed to respond to anyone.”
The Keeper eyed the Warrior and the Guardian before saying, “They are most likely angry with us…for after the war in the Lost Galaxy, we left their battered bodies and left the Lost Galaxy with Scorpius when you claimed the Quasar Sabers. We planned to return to save them, but we had not predicted that we would be so affected when we had fled our familiar element—that is to say, our own galaxy. I took complete control of the Galaxy Book and killed our crewmates, who, like me, were being corrupted by the book’s power, while the Warrior and the Guardian fortunately escaped my wrath.”
“We have done many things that we had not intended and are not content with,” the Warrior said.
“But we plan to correct all of our mistakes by restoring the Lost Galaxy to being a safe place to live again…which we can do when both of our teams are united,” the Guardian added.
“So, to help us along,” the Keeper said, “I’ll show you one of the good spells I can cast.”
The Keeper walked over to the desk where the Galaxy Book lay and flipped to one of the final pages. He then began to recite a spell that was definitely not in English or any other language the Rangers could discern. After a moment, he showed the Rangers a page where three pairs of morphers identical to Mike’s rested. They seemed like they practically wanted to leap off the page and onto someone’s wrists. One of them did, in fact, as the Keeper muttered a few more words that the Rangers could not understand. The morphers materialized from the pages and attached themselves to the Keeper’s wrists.
He breathed a sigh of relief and then said, “It’s good to have these back. Now, if our final two teammates are alive—which I pray they are—they will hear in their heads the same words I just uttered aloud. They will then be able to summon their morphers from the Galaxy Book, as I have, and hopefully, it will not be long before we join them again.”
“Until then,” the Guardian said, “We must combat Mutiny’s forces with you and hope for the best.”
“All we can do is hope,” Kai said.
“Well, I hope you’re happy with yourself, Barbarax!” Mutiny cried, “Deviot enhances a powerful ghost with his machinations, and you mess everything up by telling the Rangers how to defeat it!”
“Clearly, master, he cannot be trusted,” Deviot said.
“Quiet!” Barbarax shouted, “Were the situation the other way around, I’m sure YOU would have sung like a canary!”
“Please, gentlemen!” Captain Mutiny yelled, “While I am disappointed, I will recover, and there is no need for discord among the ranks in the meantime.” Deviot sneered at Barbarax as Mutiny continued, “Anyway, Barbarax, I am giving Deviot another chance to capture Terra Venture for me, so you don’t need to feel bad about botching his plan. So, my robotic minion,” Mutiny said as he pushed past Barbarax and put his hook arm around Deviot, “What kind of plan did you have in mind for me?”
“I was thinking pure brute strength,” Deviot said, “A terrible monster that would simply continue to destroy Terra Venture’s structures until they must surrender to us. Now, Mutiny, we are sitting on the back of such a creature, are we not?”
“Alas, my friend,” Mutiny conceded as he slumped his head and walked away, “My beloved Titanisaur has not been active for many a year, and I fear that it can not be again…unless…” the Captain said as an idea struck him, “You…could use some sort of device to bring him back to life?”
Deviot, taken aback, sputtered, “Well…uh…I could, but…it would take me quite some time, and I’m not sure if I have all the tools…”
“Do not worry…I will provide you with all the tools necessary to rebuild my beloved machine—just get started on it immediately. In the meantime, however, I don’t want the Rangers to think I’ve gone soft, so I’ll recruit an old friend of mine to come up with something horrible to entertain them in the meantime. Now, go, go to work!” Captain Mutiny cried, waving Deviot away with his arms.
He was so easy to manipulate, Deviot and Captain Mutiny thought simultaneously.
“Rangers,” Alpha called over the Rangers’ Transmorphers, “Some really weird monster is rampaging through the City Dome—you’d better hurry over there!”
The ten Rangers exchanged nods before preparing to morph. Leo, Kai, Damon, Cassie, and Maya called, “Go Galactic!” Mike called, “Magna Power!” And the three Ancient Rangers muttered their indecipherable morphing call to transform.
The ten Rangers stood proudly together before the huge monster, among them the newest member of their team, the Green Ancient Ranger.

Cassie was the first Ranger to speak up when she spotted the large creature, who was pretty hard to miss. “Aw man, that is one ugly monster.” Truer words were never spoken.
http://www.supersentai.com/database/1998_gingaman/images/gin31-1.jpg
“Surrender to me, Rangers! I am Scare-rab, and if Terra Venture does not bow to the authority of Captain Mutiny, I will tear this colony apart!”
To prove her point, the creature swung its arms and took off half of an unused business office. “See what I mean?” she cried.
“If for no other reason…than to simply stop SEEING that…thing,” Mike said, “Let’s kill it. Kill it hard. Kill it fast. Kill it NOW.”
The other Rangers heartily agreed with this statement. “Galactabeasts, Arise!” the Galaxy Rangers called, as Mike called, “Torozord, Arise!” Phantom Ranger finished off the zord summoning by yelling, “Artillatron, Descend!”
Within a few minutes, the Galaxy Megazord and Defender Torozord had been formed, with Artillatron in High Stance Mode beside them. The three Ancient Rangers looked up at the zords as the Warrior said, “They’re beautiful…except for that weird car thing…you know, I’m not even sure what team that Ranger belongs to?”
The Guardian ignored his statement and said, “I still cannot believe that Torozord waited for his owner to return…he is one of the most loyal, friendliest zords I have ever met.”
“But none can surpass our zords,” said the Keeper, “And by the looks of things, now would be as good a time as any for them to make their return.”
The Green Ancient Ranger indeed had a point. The creature was using its many arms to beat around the two Megazords, and blasting beams that shot away the Carrierzord. The Rangers were getting beaten badly, and were not being given any opportunity to fight back or to recover.
“I don’t know how they will respond…but shall we try anyway?” the Warrior asked.
“We don’t have much of a choice,” the Guardian replied, “Our young friends are in trouble. We know the Galactabeasts will be angry with us, but we must apologize and hope to lessen their wrath.”
“All we can do is hope,” the Keeper replied.
The three Ancient Rangers then simultaneously raised their hands and called, “Galactabeasts, Arise!”
Nothing happened.
“Galactabeasts, Arise!”
Still nothing happened.
Scare-rab had managed to floor the Galaxy Megazord with one of its punches. The Rangers had donned their Orion Armor to allow the Megazord to raise itself up, but the armor seemed to make no difference at all.
“Please, old friends,” the Keeper cried, “Our young friends are in trouble, and they are the ones we wish to help. Your anger lies with us, and not with them. Won’t you come help us, please?”
In desperation, the three Ancient Rangers raised their fists once more and called, “Galactabeasts, Arise!”
This time, their summoning worked. The Zenith Carrierzord came out of its hiding spot in the mountains and threw Scare-rab off by firing its lasers. The Carrierzord then proceeded to increase its stance and to release the S-Zords and C-Zords.
“Strange how much they have changed,” the Warrior remarked, “But no matter. I assume we still know how to pilot them?”
“But of course,” the Guardian replied.
The Warrior boarded the C-Zord 1 and called, “Centaurus Megazord formation!” As the Megazord was forming, the Guardian boarded the S-Zord 1 and called, “Stratoforce Megazord formation!” Finally, as both Megazords were completing their docking sequences, the Keeper boarded the Zenith Carrierzord.
“All right…let’s see if I can adjust myself to these new controls,” the Warrior said, summarizing the feelings of his two teammates as well.
Although several minutes passed in which the Ancient Rangers were getting used to using the zords while the other seven Rangers were barely hanging on, they finally learned how to pilot their upgraded zords.
“Centaurus Blaster!” called the Red Ancient Ranger, as the Centaurus Megazord fired off a rapid round of laser fire at Scare-rab.
“Stratoforce Boomerang!” called the Blue Ancient Ranger, at which point the Stratoforce Megazord hurled its blue boomerang at the evil beetle monster.
Scare-rab cried out in pain as the laser blasts struck her, and she staggered back when the boomerang struck her several times before returning to the Stratoforce Megazord’s hand. As Scare-rab attempted to recover her position, the artillery fire of the two Carrierzords brought her down once more. The Galaxy Rangers saw their chance and prepared to deal her the finishing blow.
“Lightning Spin!” Mike as Defender Torozord called, swirling around in a circle and striking Scare-rab with his staff as he whirled around at lightning speed.
“Orion Slash!” Cassie cried along with the other four Galaxy Rangers. The Orion Powered Galaxy Megazord charged up its saber and delivered a supercharged slash to Scare-rab’s midsection. She cried out one final time before falling to the ground and exploding.
“Well, it seems that we have done it again,” the Keeper cried happily from his cockpit.
“Even I am impressed,” said the Guardian, “I didn’t think we’d still be able to wield our zords well after so long a period without them.”
“We made a good team,” the Warrior said to the zords, “Didn’t we? Well, didn’t we?”
The zords replied by ejecting the three Ancient Rangers from their respective cockpits. The Zenith Carrierzord then collected the S-Zords and C-Zords and rolled back to its hiding place in the mountains.
The Galaxy Rangers, the Magna Defender, and the Phantom Ranger raced over to the Ancient Rangers, as Leo breathed, “Thanks for the help!”
“Yeah, thanks…but it doesn’t look like the Galactabeasts are going to be so happy to come back again next time,” Damon said as he watched the Zenith Carrierzord disappear from sight.
Maya sighed and said, “The Galactabeasts are gentle animals…I can ask the Wolfzord to speak to them on your behalf if you wish.”
“No,” the Keeper said, “That will not be necessary. The Galactabeasts are angry, and justifiably so, at having been abandoned by us. Though it wasn’t our intention, it happened. The only way they will forgive us is if we three on our own make them understand that we never meant to hurt them.”
“Will that be difficult?” the Phantom Ranger asked.
“Hopefully not,” the Warrior replied, “For, if it is, then the fate of Terra Venture and of the Lost Galaxy are in jeopardy.”
“Hey, don’t forget that you still have two teammates who haven’t met up with you,” said Mike, “Maybe they’ll have better luck with the zords.”
“Maybe,” the Guardian muttered, “Maybe…”
“Just remember,” Kai said, “That we’re behind you, and that all we can do is hope.”
The three Ancient Rangers nodded their heads at the Galaxy Rangers and teleported away. Phantom Ranger followed their lead and disappeared as well. The six remaining Rangers stared at the spot from which the four other Rangers had just left, knowing that the next time they would return, it would be in a battle with much higher stakes.

Episode 39. Ice Ice Maybe
“Excellent,” Captain Mutiny cried sarcastically, “All of my generals have failed me now…all except one, that is.” Captain Mutiny stared at the cowering Hexuba on the ground and said, “You are not he, however. YOUR monster was useless. And the worst part is, you weren’t even around to see it being useless! I thought you would have fought better than this against the Rangers…bah, be gone!” Hexuba nodded meekly and timidly scurried away to her quarters aboard the ship. Mutiny sighed and made his way over to Deviot’s workroom. “So…how’s the device coming, my robotic minion?”
“Uh…well, your excellency,” Deviot said as he lifted his welding mask and put down his torch, “Not so well. Titanisaur is a larger creature than any I have met—even the Rangers’ zords were smaller—and constructing a regenerator for it is going to take a little more time.”
“Well,” Captain Mutiny grumbled, “Just don’t disappoint me like Barbarax and Hexuba have. Barbarax is lily-livered, and Hexuba is just a lily: she always seems to disappear off to other places, doing I don’t know what while she’s there—casting spells or something I suppose. She once seemed like a faithful servant of mine, but it seems something’s on her mind these days. But you Deviot,” Captain Mutiny said as he clapped Deviot on the shoulder with his hook hand, “You are a brilliant worker, and I know you will not let me down.”
“In the meantime, Captain Mutiny,” Deviot said as he put his mask back on, “Might I suggest that you find a monster to fight the Rangers yourself? Since, as you know, your other generals are useless.”
Barbarax, who was just walking by, stopped dead in his tracks when he heard this statement. He shuddered when he heard the Captain exclaim, “An excellent idea, Deviot! It’s no wonder you’re my second-in-command!” As Captain Mutiny exited the workroom and saw Barbarax, the Captain bluntly asked, “What do you want?”
Barbarax staggered before saying, “Uh…well, my lord…I was just thinking…what an excellent day for fishing it was! Fishing up some trouble, that is!”
Captain Mutiny narrowed his eyes at Barbarax and stared at him for a minute before exclaiming, “You know, that’s not half-bad an idea! Why not fish up my own monster myself! It’s a perfect day to cast out a line!” Captain Mutiny grabbed his fishing rod from against the wall and leaned out one of the ship’s windows. As he was casting out his line, he called to Barbarax, “If this idea works, maybe I won’t throw you overboard after all…but if it doesn’t…then you’d better appease me with a better idea and fast.” Barbarax gulped as Captain Mutiny turned and stared out the window. A few minutes later, Captain Mutiny cried, “Ooh! Ooh! I have a bite!”
As Captain Mutiny struggled to pull in the monster, Barbarax ran behind him and cried, “I’ve got you, sir!” However, the Captain swatted him away and said, “I know what I’m doing fool!” The Captain groaned strenuously by finally managed to yank the creature through the window and into the ship. “Now, what have we here?” the Captain said as he gazed at the marvelous creature that stood before him.

“I am the Icy Fisher,” the creature replied in a shrill voice, “I can shoot powerful fishnets from my cannon staff. Do you require my services?”
Captain Mutiny turned to Barbarax and grinned, and then turned back to the monster and said, “As a matter of fact, I COULD use your help right now.”
Cassie sat over a desk in her room, pouring her heart onto a piece of paper. When she heard the door to her room open, she quickly put the paper in her drawer. Fortunately, however, it was only Maya at her door. Cassie breathed a sigh of relief and asked, “Hey, what’s up?”
“Nothing,” Maya replied, “What are you doing?”
“Oh, nothing really,” Cassie replied, “Just…”
“Thinking about the Phantom Ranger?”
Cassie leaned back against her chair, stared up at the ceiling and groaned, “Yes.”
Maya sat down on Cassie’s bed and said, “Look…if he won’t take off his mask for you when you ask him nicely…then you need to ask him in a different way.”
Cassie leaned forward and said, “What do you mean?”
Maya puckered her lips and moved her face next to Cassie’s and said, “People will do whatever you want when you flirt with them.”
Cassie held her hand up in front of Maya’s face and said, “Okay, you can have the last slice of cake. Just…don’t do that again.”
Maya smiled triumphantly and said, “See what I mean?”
Cassie smiled as she realized what had happened and said, “Hey, maybe that COULD work…”
The Red, Green, and Blue Galaxy and Ancient Rangers were walking about the City Dome, partially to enjoy the cool, breezy day, but partially to keep a lookout for trouble. Most of the Rangers seemed to be off in their own little world, thinking. Leo wasn’t really thinking—surprise surprise—but was rather fantasizing about what the New World would be like when they got there. Finally, Leo could only dream about the New World for so long before he had to alert the others to his presence. He wanted to get a conversation going, after all. “Sooo…he started, shoving his hands into his pockets, “What are you all thinking about?”
“How to escape the Lost Galaxy,” Kai said.
“How to ensure the ship can keep going and make it to the New World,” Damon said.
“Whether the other Rangers will retrieve their morphers,” the Warrior said.
“Whether they are even alive,” the Guardian added.
“How to make the Lost Galactabeasts forgive us,” the Keeper stated solemnly.
Leo looked at them all and was deciding whose concerns to address first. However, before he could, Kai said, “You know what…we shouldn’t worry so much. Things will all turn out fine in the end. I’m sure we can find a way out of the Lost Galaxy—I mean, didn’t you guys write the Keonta Spell?”
“No…” the Warrior said, “That was our fifth member…the Spellcaster. Only she would know how to break the spell.”
“Oh…” Kai said, “Well…I’m sure we can figure it out!”
“And Damon, I’m sure YOU can figure out how to reserve our fuel supplies,” Leo then said, “After all, you are a very smart guy.”
Damon smiled and said, “Thanks man.”
Kai then turned to the Warrior and the Guardian and said, “I trust that your friends are alive…after all, you three and the Defender were. Is it that much of a stretch to believe that your teammates could survive too? They’re rangers after all—they know what they’re doing. Maybe something is just preventing them from calling their morphers.”
“That could be,” the Guardian said, “Perhaps it was the Galaxy Book’s leaving the Lost Galaxy, and not OUR leaving that caused the morphers to disappear…and us to be stricken. Although, with that thought in mind, I worry about the Spellcaster, who wrote many of the interpretations and spells in the Galaxy Book…for as we know, the Keeper wrote down the Seer’s visions as they were stated to him, and he MUTATED when the book left its home…”
“Whatever has happened to them,” Kai said, “I am sure we will be able to undo it.”
Leo nodded in agreement and said, “Keeper, the Galactabeasts are very generous spirits. If you speak to them from the heart, there is no way they can’t forgive you.”
The Ancient Rangers smiled and the Warrior said, “It is no surprise why you three are Rangers. You are kind and wise beyond your years.”
“But we all believe it,” Damon said, “What they’re telling you isn’t just crap to make you feel better…they’re telling the truth.”
The Ancient Rangers nodded and smiled. As they prepared to speak again, however, they saw a giant creature stomping a few hundred yards away from them. “Hey,” it called, “Icy Fisher’s gonna reel you in for good.”
Icy Fisher raised his cannon staff and shot a large net into the air. The net solidified into a block of ice spanning over all the passageways out of the City Dome, preventing anyone from getting in or out. The Rangers exchanged nods and quickly morphed to face their gigantic foe. But when they realized they had no zords to speak of…they had to contact Alpha and ask him to call the other Rangers to aid them.
Cassie, upon hearing the call on her Transmorpher, nodded to Maya. The two raced out of their room just as the Phantom Ranger was striding up the hallway. Maya walked ahead and let Cassie rest next to Phantom Ranger for a moment. Cassie pinned Phantom against the wall with her arms and put her lips together, as Maya had, and sexily whispered, “Hey…I could use some saving too, bub.”
The Phantom Ranger moved his head to the side as Cassie moved in for a kiss, and then ducked under her arms as he said, “Not now, Cassie…our friends are in danger.” He then disappeared from sight, leaving Cassie and Maya to morph and get to the City Dome on their own.
Alpha had clearly summoned Mike, too, as he arrived outside the frozen City Dome with Cassie, Maya, and Phantom. Getting out of work was easier for Mike now, thanks to Captain Stanton’s conviction that he was the Red Galaxy Ranger. The four acknowledged one another’s presence quickly before Phantom said, “Okay…so the City Dome has been encased in ice by that big creature…and our fellow Rangers are trapped inside without zords. What should we do?”
“Blast our way in?” Mike suggested with a shrug.
“Sounds good to me,” Phantom agreed with a nod of the head.
“And…after you blast your way into there…” Cassie said as she put an arm around his shoulders, “You can blast your way into…”
“Not NOW Cassie,” the Phantom Ranger said as he thrust her arm off his shoulder. “Artillatron, Descend!”
“Torozord, Arise!” Mike called.
As Artillatron was attaining High Stance Mode and Mike was combining with Torozord, Maya contacted Leo, Damon, and Kai and said, “Hey, think you guys could call the Galactabeasts with us? If we don’t all call them, none of them will come.”
“We still won’t be able to form the Galaxy Megazord, though,” Leo replied.
“Yeah, but at least we’ll have more firepower,” Cassie responded.
“Okay then,” Damon said, “Ready, guys!”
“You know it!” Kai shouted.
“GALACTABEASTS, ARISE!” the five Galaxy Rangers shouted.
The three Ancient Rangers looked over at the three Galaxy Rangers summoning their Galactabeasts and sighed, helpless to do anything else.
The five Galactabeasts, Defender Torozord, and Artillatron stood outside the encasement of ice and began blasting away at it. Nothing, however, not even the flames of the Lion or the artillery power of Artillatron, could break the ice.
Meanwhile, Icy Fisher had turned his cannon staff around and was now capturing citizens in regular nets. Leo, Kai, and Damon looked at the Galactabeasts and then at one another nervously. None of the zords’ attacks seemed to be helping. And if the zords couldn’t do any damage to the ice, how could the Rangers themselves have any hope at all?
The three Ancient Rangers saw the three Galaxy Rangers in this nervous state, and knew what they had to do.
“Rhino, I am sorry,” cried the Warrior, “When we left you behind after that battle, we had meant to return. We didn’t know that we would lose control of the Galaxy Book after we left the Lost Galaxy.”
“Phoenix, forgive me,” yelled the Guardian, “We followed Scorpius because we needed to ensure that another Galaxy was not hurt as ours was.”
“Shark, please,” spoke the Keeper softly, “Help us in our time of need, as you have before. We believe in you, and promise to never hurt you again.”
A moment of silence passed, in which the Ancient Rangers hung their heads in resignation, feeling that they had failed. However, a distant crashing suddenly made them change their minds. They looked up, and through the ice they could see that the Zenith Carrierzord was approaching from the mountains. The three Ancient Rangers cheered and uttered their praises as the Centaurus and Stratoforce Megazords were formed.
The two Megazords nodded to the Galactabeasts and Defender Torozord, who backed away. Artillatron kept ramming the ice, but Zenith Carrierzord came onto the scene and pushed the Carrierzord away. With a clear shot at the ice, the Centaurus Megazord fired off its laser, making a large crack in the globe. The Stratoforce Megazord then hurled its boomerang at the ice, smashing the entire casing.
Icy Fisher stopped collecting citizens at this point and glared at the ones who had broken his net. As he ran towards them, the Zenith Carrierzord rolled in front of its allies and fired its lasers, causing Icy Fisher to drop his cannon staff and release the civilians he’d captured. The Galactabeasts then fired their individual energy attacks at Icy Fisher, paralyzing him on contact. Mike decided to finish the battle by flying through the air and using his Lightning Spin attack on Icy Fisher. The monster cried out and fell to the ground before exploding and being destroyed.
When the battle was over, the ten Rangers greeted one another in front of the Control Tower. “You communicated with them—the Galactabeasts understood you and came to your rescue!” Leo exclaimed.
“Yes, they did,” the Keeper said as he watched the Centaurus and Stratoforce Megazords lower their heads and nod, as though smiling at the rangers, before reforming into their respective C-Zords and S-Zords. In these forms, they re-entered the Zenith Carrierzord, who slowly rolled away.
“We owe much to these three Rangers,” the Guardian said, gesturing to Kai, Leo, and Damon, “For, were it not for their strong spirits, we may never have had the faith in ourselves to succeed.”
The Rangers all nodded in agreement and continued to congratulate one another as the five other Galactabeasts roared with content. However, their joy stopped when they heard screams coming from around the corner. There was Barbarax, capturing citizens in a large vase. Before the Rangers could stop him, he teleported away back to the ship.
Aboard Mutiny’s ship, Barbarax bowed and said, “Your highness…I realize that Icy Fisher was a failure…but unlike some other generals, I am always prepared. I captured as many citizens as I could without the Rangers’ knowing, and will continue to do so as often as I can.”
Mutiny guffawed and said, “Well, Barbarax my boy, it appears I was wrong about you. Catching all of Terra Venture in one fell swoop probably wasn’t the best way to go—you’ve shown me a better one. Capturing the citizens in small increments until we have them all. You’ve certainly proven yourself better than SOME generals,” Captain Mutiny emphasized, glaring around the room but finding neither of the other two generals there, continued, “So I commend you. Go and bring them to the slave camp.”
As Captain Mutiny marched off and Barbarax teleported away, Hexuba hid behind the door to her quarters and listened to the conversation. She looked down at her hands and breathed heavily; it was happening again. But this time, she felt like she knew where she had to go. With a large sigh, she brought her hands to her sides and teleported away. Deviot entered the room and saw her leaving, wondering where she could have gone. Well, he thought, looks like our little conspiracy will have to be put off then. He shrugged his shoulders and walked back to his workroom to continue working on his regenerator for Titanisaur.
Back in the living quarters, Cassie approached the Phantom Ranger as he was walking toward his room. “Hey,” she said, “Now that we’re alone…”
“Cassie, please,” he groaned, “I think I know why you’re doing what you’re doing, and I want you to stop it. Please.”
Cassie threw up her hands and immediately cancelled her act. “Well, I’m nice to you, and you won’t tell me who you are. I flirt with you, and you tell me nothing. You know what I think? I know who you are. A selfish fool with no heart at all!” Cassie screeched. She stormed down the hall and was immediately greeted by a smiling Maya, whom Cassie greeted by saying, “Well done, your advice failed miserably.” Cassie then screamed out loud again before entering her room and quickly pressing the door shut behind her.
Maya just stared speechless in the hallway, not quite sure what she had done wrong. Mike, Damon, Leo, and Kai, who had heard all the commotion, all came out of their rooms and looked at Maya, who, unsure of what to do, turned to glance at the Phantom Ranger. He merely stared at the ground for a moment and then walked briskly down the hall, shimmering away into nothingness as he reached the door to his room.

I just started reading the beginning. And I must say, this is quite good so far. I've read a veritable ton of fiction -- I took lots of professional fiction writing courses. While I'm not a huge fan of Lost Galaxies, you successfully engaged me the instant I saw believable characters.
I'll say this, though. You could have used a lot more personal descriptions of our heroes in the beginning. Yes, I know this is a PR fanfic, and we all pretty much know what everyone looks like. But it never hurts to approach a fanfic from the position that someone who has never been exposed to the PR universe could eventually read it.
And never underestimate the power of olfactory imagery. It's the one sense that writers tend to neglect the most. I'm a huge stickler for the sense of smell, since it's the strongest sense that's tied to one's memory.
Anyway, I'm going to read this through today (hopefully). I'll give you some more feedback when I'm done. Be prepared for some constructive criticisms, though. I refuse to patronize anyone who puts their work up for comment.

You have a very good point here. I'll definitely incorporate this suggestion in my next AU PR fanfic.;)

I urge you to do so. Yuppy fanboys who only post "Great, can't wait for more," do not help you to improve. In fact, sometimes they haven't even read the fic and are just pitying you. Comments such as "you should do more of this" or "you shouldn't have done this" are what allows the quality of one's writing to improve, because then you know specifically what to do better and what to continue doing.
I thank you for taking an interest in my writing, and I have just one more request. If, when you comment, you could continue to generalize as you have been doing, I would be particularly thankful, since I can't exactly go back and fix what I've already written. For instance, if you provide an example of what weakness you are referencing, instead of just using that example to justify the whole episode's being poorly done, I will benefit more from your comments. Thanks again, and I'll eagerly await what you have to say! :)

I've had the chance to catch up on reading these and the series or the part of the series your writing is great. While PRLG is tied for my favorite with Time Force, I do think they had some plots that went down the drain or not explored. You seem to be doing good at picking them up.

Episode 40. Yellow and Pink Bellied
The four guys stared at Maya for a few minutes after the Phantom Ranger and Cassie had stormed off. “Okay,” Damon started uneasily, “Could you please tell me what in the WORLD that was about?”
Maya sighed and said, “The Phantom Ranger won’t tell Cassie who he is…and it’s depressing her. I’d better go talk to her.”
“Well from the looks of things, you’re not too strong in that department,” Leo laughed.
“What do you mean?” Maya asked innocently.
“What he means is,” Damon answered for him, “That you don’t have tact.”
“Tact?” Maya asked. She was very confused.
“Maya,” Kai began as he put his arm around her shoulders, “You’re a very truthful person, and you speak what’s on your mind. But sometimes, like in this case, that’s not always the best way to be. You come off as being…insensitive.”
Maya threw Kai’s arm off her shoulder and said, “What are you saying? That I’m a bad person? That no one can talk to me?”
Mike walked toward her and said, “Maya, that’s not what he…”
“Well, maybe YOU should think about how the things you say affect people!” Maya cried. She then stormed out of the living quarters, wiping tears from her face as she walked. The guys exchanged upset glances, realizing too late their mistake. As the Ancient Rangers walked in and saw the nervous guys, the Keeper asked, “What troubles you?”
“We said something really bad to a friend of ours,” Kai sighed.
“Young friend,” the Guardian said, “I am not really the best at this…but try talking to her. If my teammate were here, I’m sure the advice given would be bet…”
The Warrior cut him off with a loud gasp as he stared at the sparking Galaxy Book. The other two Ancient Rangers and the four guys immediately ran over and surrounded the book. “I don’t believe it!” Damon cried.
“It’s a miracle,” the Warrior said as he stared intently at the page, “The fourth Ancient Morpher has been claimed.”
Maya trudged through the City Dome, not even bothering now to wipe away the hot tears falling from her eyes. Insensitive…how could they call me insensitive? she thought. Okay, so maybe her flirting advice hadn’t worked out…but it was only because she was too young to ever have been intimate with a man before. She’d just used what she’d heard the other women in the tribe telling her to do when she found a man to reel in…how could she have known that her advice would fail so?
Maya slumped down on a park chair and breathed a loud sigh, staring down at the ground as the angry thoughts raced through her head. She didn’t even notice when a brown-haired young woman wearing a long blue and yellow cloak sat down next to her on the bench.
Maya continued to ignore the woman as the woman spoke, “You’re upset…why?”
“None of your business,” Maya grunted.
“You are having trouble with your friends, am I right?” the woman asked.
Maya sniffled and looked into the woman’s weathered but pretty face, “How did you…”
“Your emotions are easy to read,” the woman said smiling, “I can tell you are a very honest and sincere person. You must have very good friends.”
“Yeah, well,” Maya said, “I THOUGHT I did…until they called me insensitive a little while ago…”
“My dear,” the woman said kindly as she stood up to join Maya, who had begun to walk away, “You have a true heart, and for that reason, you can never stray. Walk with me.”
Trusting as always, Maya walked alongside the woman, albeit a little timidly given her encounters with people who were not as they should be. The woman placed a hand on Maya’s shoulder and said, “Don’t be afraid. I am who I say I am. Now,” she said, “What problem did you and your friends have?”
“I gave one of my friends some bad advice,” Maya said as she rubbed off the last of her tears, “And my other friends made fun of me for it.”
The woman pondered Maya’s words for a moment before replying, “Do YOU think that your advice was poor?”
Maya looked down guiltily as she answered, “Yeah…but it’s not my fault! I was raised on a different planet and they…”
The woman held up her hand and laughed before saying, “There are two things you must hear. The first is that, you seem to be a very upstanding individual, righteous and strong. If you did not mean what you said, I am sure you did not.”
“Secondly, your friends are called so for a reason. If you tell your friends who mocked you how they made you feel, and simply apologize to your other friend and remind her that you only had her best interests in mind, she will of course forgive whatever minor pain you have caused her.”
Maya stopped and shook her head as she said, “I don’t even know you…but you’ve given me some great advice. Thank you.”
The woman nodded and smiled before walking away in the other direction. Maya happily bounced along her path, feeling much better about herself. The sight of Barbarax sealing people into a magical jar made Maya become angry and scared all over again.
“Easy citizens for the pickings, and not a single Ranger to stop me!” Barbarax called triumphantly.
Maya stared furiously at him before running behind a tree and whispering, “Go…Galactic!” As Barbarax continued to capture citizens, she leapt out from the tree, Delta Daggers in hand, and tackled the evil minion to the ground. Barbarax threw her off him after receiving a few slashes to the chest and cried, “You will pay for your foolishness, Yellow Ranger!” He then fiercely struck her in the head with his mace. Maya reeled from the blow, unable to steer herself as she toppled to the ground. Barbarax loomed over her, his jar still under his arm as he said, “Your capture will be the most important in my captain’s quest.” As he prepared to unseal the jar, however, a pink ray of light shot him and floored him once more. Maya looked up in shock and couldn’t believe who she saw standing before her:

It was the Pink Ancient Ranger.
The Pink Ranger ran toward Barbarax, poised for battle. She then grabbed a red colored rod from her holster and began slashing Barbarax about with it. This sight encouraged Maya, as the Yellow Ranger then removed her Quasar Saber and ran toward Barbarax. The two Rangers then delivered simultaneous clubs to Barbarax, causing him to fall over and grunt as he hit the ground, keeping his vise-like grip on the jar.
Maya turned to the Pink Ranger and said, “Thank you for your help…but who are you?”
The Pink Ranger moved her head as though ready to speak, but stopped. She then screamed in pain as pink energy surged throughout her body. After a flash of light, the Egyptian-themed witch Hexuba stood in her place.

Barbarax stared up from the ground and cried, “Hexuba…a Ranger? This cannot be!”
Maya backed up and cried, “Who are you?”
The witch laughed and cried, “I am Hexuba, humble servant of Captain Mutiny…and soon you will feel my wrath. Hahaha!”
From behind her back Hexuba drew a large crystal ball, which she rubbed eagerly. “With this orb, I can channel the energy of fallen monsters and cause them to be reborn. And you will not stop me!” She then raised the ball into the air and cackled evilly. She screamed, however, when a green ball of energy hit the orb and compelled it toward the ground, where it cracked and dissolved into sand. Hexuba screamed, angry that her plan had failed. “I can get nothing right!” she screamed. “First I am upstaged by a new general, then my monster fails, and now my ultimate plan fails…and all without an effort! Why?”
The Magna Defender, blowing smoke from the tip of his Magna Blaster, then emerged from the shadows, followed by the three Ancient Rangers. They drew Hexuba’s attention away from herself. The Red Ranger stepped forward and said, “Well, my dear, it is because you are a Ranger that you fail in your plans…since even warped Rangers such as yourself are incapable of doing evil deeds.”
“You are wrong!” Hexuba yelled, before calming herself and asking, “Is…that why I am always stricken with unconsciousness as my body changes? Because I am…a Power Ranger? No!” she resolved, standing straight up and waving her hands, “This cannot be!”
“Oh, it can!” came the voice of Kai from up in the air. He, Damon, Leo, and Cassie were hovering overhead in their Jet Jammers. They simultaneously leapt from their vehicles and landed before the Ancient Rangers and Hexuba. Maya stood to the side of the former Pink Ancient Ranger, wondering what was to happen next.
“You always had good advice, and thought very logically,” the Warrior said, “And we plan to restore to you those powers.”
Maya laughed as she turned to Leo, who was now clad in his Armor. He stomped toward Hexuba, who backed off scared. Leo then called, “FIRE!” and pelted her with his heavy artillery. When the nine Rangers looked again after the smoke had cleared, the fourth original Ancient Ranger in all her morphed glory stood before them where Hexuba had previously been moments ago.
The Pink Ancient Ranger bowed and replied, “Thank you, all…I am the Spellcaster. As it turns out, when my morpher was lost, I was manipulated by one of my own spells, and became that witch…I was convinced I had to serve Mutiny and destroy you. But now I have returned, and I plan to do us good now.”
“You could start,” Mike said, “By getting us out of the Lost Galaxy.”
The Spellcaster shook her head and said, “Unfortunately, no. As you may or may not know, the prophecy of the Seer states that only when both teams are fully united can we leave this place in peace. I feel the spell would be useless were those conditions not yet met.”
The Galaxy Rangers breathed a collective sigh of disappointment. Another Ranger had joined their group, but she had no solution to offer as to how they could escape the Lost Galaxy. They then looked up when they heard Barbarax laughing. They looked over to see that he was now the only being in sight.
“While you were distracted, I rounded up about half of the space colony,” Barbarax laughed, “See you later, losers! HAHA!”
Now all the Rangers, Ancients included, were disappointed by their prospects.
But, life must go on. The nine Rangers, a little annoyed and depressed about the days’ events, returned to their living quarters. Everyone stood around in the room awkwardly as the Galaxy Rangers looked at one another discontentedly. The Ancient Rangers saw their opportunity to catch up and to get out of their young friends’ way, and left the room.
Maya sighed, and said, “Look guys, I wanna say…”
“We’re sorry,” Leo said, “What we said earlier was totally uncool.”
“Yeah, what he said,” Damon seconded, “You’re a really nice person, and one piece of bad advice doesn’t change that.”
Kai nodded and said, “We’re your friends, Maya, and we’d never do anything to hurt you on purpose.”
“The Spellcaster helped us understand what we’d done wrong on the way back,” Mike said, “Your honesty doesn’t make you insensitive. So…forgive us?”
Maya smiled and shrugged, as the four guys came together for a group hug. Cassie was still standing at the corner of the room, put off. Maya stepped away from the guys and said, “If you’ll excuse me…some more forgiving needs to be done.”
Cassie rolled her eyes and stormed off toward her room. Maya followed her and ran in before the door closed. “Look, Cass, I’m sorry…I never meant for you and the Phantom Ranger to fight…you’re my best friend now, and…”
Maya bit her tongue as she realized what she had just said. She then continued, holding back tears, “And I would never give my best friend bad advice on purpose. I told you to do what I thought was right, and I was wrong. You know, I can sort of understand why you didn’t come to help me during the battle at first…”
Cassie shook her head and said, “Maya, we’d never abandon a fellow Ranger like that. Even though I WAS annoyed with you…angry, even…I realize now that you didn’t mean to upset me, and trust me, the only reason we didn’t come at first was because you seemed to be holding your own in battle. You’re a strong person, Maya, and a great friend.”
Maya smiled as Cassie tapped the bed and said, “Sit down here…I wanna show you something.” Maya sat down, wondering what Cassie could possibly want to show her. Cassie took a note out of her desk and said, “I was writing this earlier today…and while I didn’t want to show it to you then, I do now…”
As the door to Cassie’s room opened, Maya looked out. She saw the Spellcaster wave and wink before rejoining her fellow Ancient Rangers in the hallway again. Maya thanked the Spellcaster silently for having given all of the Galaxy Rangers good advice that day. Maya then turned to Cassie and said, “So, what is this?”
“A song I wrote,” Cassie replied, “Explaining what I’ve been feeling about the Phantom Ranger. Ahem…
You’re a mystery to me,
Your face I cannot see,
But I know,
Tall, dark, handsome, as you are,
You’re a star,
And can’t you see?
That you’re a mystery to me.”
Maya stayed silent for a moment before replying, “Cassie, I’m sorry if I ever thought I understood what you were feeling. That song’s really deep. My GOOD advice this time is that you talk to Phantom about your feelings. He’ll want to listen. And show him the song—it’s beautiful.”
“Yeah,” Cassie said distractedly, “Too bad he’ll never see it.”
Cassie then crumbled up the paper and threw in her pink trashbin. “He’ll never show me his real face…so what am I in love with? A helmet? A person who doesn’t really exist at all?”
“I don’t know, Cassie,” Maya replied, “I guess, since it’s been so long and he hasn’t shown you his face yet, you may have to decide whether you love the mask or the man behind the mask.”
The girls then whirled their heads toward the hallway as they heard an almost inaudible gasp. Maya got up and stared, asking, “Did you hear something?”
Cassie shook her head and turned her head back toward her desk as she said, “No…it was probably nobody.”
The Phantom Ranger, invisibly standing in front of the girls’ room in the hallway, quietly walked into his room. He softly removed his helmet from his head and stared into the mirror at his blondish hair and gentle features. So, he thought, that’s all you are to her then. A mystery man and a nobody. That’s all you are to anyone, isn’t it? You won’t let anyone get close, afraid of what they might think when they see the real you…
The Phantom Ranger angrily chucked his helmet against the wall, partially breaking a corner of the visor. Then, as he stared into the sad reflection of himself in the mirror, he stared down at the ground and breathed heavily, as a miniscule pile of teardrops began collecting on the floor beneath him.

Episode 41. All Fired Down
Cassie turned up her head as she heard a groaning sound from outside her doorway. She whirled her head around and was surprised to see a helmetless, black-suited Ranger staggering down the hall. She leapt up from her seat and prepared to stare into his hurt face as she asked, “Are you all right?”
“Yeah…I’m fine,” Mike replied as he slumped down against the wall clutching his helmet in his hands, “But Terra Venture isn’t. I was in the middle of discussing with Commander Stanton the situation of Terra Venture…”
“Which is?” Cassie asked.
“Not good,” Mike answered, “Our fuel supplies have been practically exhausted during this course through the Lost Galaxy, and our mechanics don’t think they know how to conserve our fuel supplies for the journey home. But…that’s not the point of my story,” Mike breathed as he stood up wincing, “I was talking with Commander Stanton when I saw Barbarax terrorizing the City Dome again. The Commander let me go—he thinks I’m the Red Ranger,” Mike quickly added when he saw Cassie’s confused expression, “And I tried to stop him…but I couldn’t. He fought me off and then disappeared.”
“And this isn’t the first time this has happened, as we all know,” Maya said as she walked out of Cassie’s room, “By the time we get there, he’s already rounded up a large quantity of civilians to take back to…wherever.”
“His slave camp,” a soothing voice came from behind them. The Spellcaster, dressed in a pink satin gown, looked at the three Rangers and said, “Mutiny, like any pirate, is only concerned with harvesting more gems. He has a site where he makes his slaves mine for riches; but whenever we tried to infiltrate it, we were caught. His guards, the Swabbies, were too many in number for us to handle. We couldn’t save the people and fight off the Swabbies at the same time. So, we would only save a handful of people each time, and since Mutiny would soon capture more people to make up for his loss, our efforts proved futile. And Barbarax’s new method for increasing Mutiny’s slave count is effective.”
“Hey,” Mike said, as he straightened himself up, “Maybe I could purposely get captured the next time Barbarax shows up. I may not be able to stop him when he appears, but I can at least catch him every time, so if I were one of the civilians caught…”
“No!” the Spellcaster cried, “Do not be foolish. You would be caught and killed the moment you revealed yourself to them. If only there were some way that we could enter the base and not be caught…”
“Then we could save them,” another voice came from behind the Rangers. Shimmering into view was the Phantom Ranger, a small crack in the corner revealing a tear-stained brown eye. Seeing the four Rangers staring, he waved his hand across his visor, causing it to repair itself, then spoke, “I can turn invisible at will. I could free all the slaves, while you could bring the Megaship, and before Mutiny could know what was going on, we would be free.”
“No,” Cassie said, shaking her head, “You can’t, it would be…”
“This is not a bad idea,” the Spellcaster said, nodding her head, “But how will we know when to send the Megaship for you?”
Mike smiled and stepped forward as he said, “I’m capable of communicating with the other Rangers. Plus, if the Phantom Ranger slipped, I could cover for him. I think I could really help the effort here by being captured too.”
The Spellcaster narrowed her eyes at the two Rangers and said, “You are willing to risk yourselves in order to have a chance at saving those innocent people?”
Mike nodded enthusiastically, while the Phantom nodded too, albeit with less enthusiasm. Anything to get out of here, I’ll do, he thought.
“Phantom Ranger, no!” Cassie yelled, “Just because you’re…”
“Leave me be,” the Phantom Ranger replied coldly, “You know only my mask, and nothing else about me. Why would you be concerned?”
Cassie opened her mouth, but then closed it. The Spellcaster knew enough not to pry, and gave a nod to Maya, who also understood not to intrude. The Pink Ancient Ranger then stepped forward and said, “So it is settled. Barbarax, the next time he appears, will catch you two Rangers, and then you will contact us so we can bring you away when the time is right. Correct?”
“Correct,” Mike said.
As Mike prepared to walk off, his Magna Morphers beeped with a warble identical to that of the Transmorphers. As he bent his head down to listen, Alpha’s voice echoed, “Ay-yi-yi! Mike! Barbarax is in the City Dome capturing citizens AGAIN!”
Mike grimaced and said, “Probably thinks I’ve had enough. Well, he’s wrong. Phantom, it’s show time.” Mike waved his hand and de-morphed himself as Phantom Ranger used a similar gesture to make himself disappear from sight. The Spellcaster, Maya, and Cassie all shook their heads as the two boys strode out the door, their emotions ranging from pleasure and hope for two of the three to utter discontent and confusion for the third.
Mutiny watched with pleasure the sight of Barbarax capturing more citizens, particularly fascinated by the capture of a muscular, uniformed young man, around whom a wisp seemed to appear as he faded into the capture jar. As Mutiny prepared to analyze this strange occurrence, Barbarax appeared before him and bowed, saying, “I shall return these filthy humans to the treasure site so that they can harvest more jewels for our bounty.”
“Excellent,” Mutiny replied, clapping his hand and hook together, “I love nothing more than some good slave plundering. I’m glad to see you picking up the slack around here with Hexuba gone to the side of…good,” Mutiny spat. “Now our other general on the other hand…”
Barbarax bowed again and teleported away as Mutiny shuffled to Deviot’s workroom. There he saw the robot wearing his welding mask and pounding away on a rectangular device with several colored buttons and a joystick.
“Well, Deviot, m’boy,” the Captain shouted so as to be heard over the buzzing of the welding torch, “Are you almost done?”
“Nearly,” Deviot answered in an equally loud voice, “I’m just putting on a few finishing touches. In about an hour or so Titanisaur will be fighting fit once more.”
Mutiny cackled and cried, “Now that’s what I like to hear!” As he strutted away, Deviot turned and yelled, “And I will get to pilot Titanisaur, yes?” Captain Mutiny threw up his hook and continued wandering out of the room. Deviot returned to his work and thought, Excellent. Mutiny looked back as he closed the door to the workroom and thought, I wonder what he just said? Bah, he’s doing good work, so I won’t disturb him.
Mike toppled onto the ground, a little dazed, but definitely conscious. To his surprise, he looked down and saw large handcuffs binding his hands. He then whirled around as he heard a loud voice booming. Barbarax called out to the crowd:
“Hear this! You lucky people have been chosen by Captain Mutiny to mine treasure for him. And as you can see,” Barbarax said as he gestured to the hordes of Swabbies behind him, “You are outmatched, and bound by hand. Wherever you find a shovel, you may mine. And I’ll warn you now: if you try to escape, there WILL be consequences. Observe this fool here.” Barbarax laughed as pointed to an unconscious man in yellowing robes imprisoned in the stocks.
Mike shuddered and shivered a little bit, but shook off the feeling as he began to walk towards a workstation. Feeling no one around him, Mike became frightened and whispered, “Phan…” but was cut off by an invisible hand covering his mouth. A pat on the back from nowhere indicated to Mike that the Phantom was nearby. Mike smiled and struggled to remove his shirt, revealing a black muscle shirt beneath. It’s going to be a long day, Mike though, entering the station. As Barbarax yelled at him to get moving, Mike picked up a shovel with his right hand and thought, Come on Phantom, let’s get this done in a hurry. I don’t want to know what will happen if we stay here longer than we’re supposed to.
Cassie stared about the room nervously. She had many thoughts on her mind, some happy, but most of them less so. To distract herself, she turned to the Spellcaster and said, “So, have you and the other Ancient Rangers had time to catch up?”
“Yes,” the Ancient Ranger replied, “And I was most disturbed to hear that our Galactabeasts had become…machines.”
“Well,” Maya said, “That is said. That they were once living, breathing, animals, and now they’re just…zords. But…”
“Yes, I know,” the Spellcaster interrupted, “They still retain the memories of when they were zords. And I know they forgave the other three Ancients, but I would like to do something…something for them…so that they know we will never leave them again.”
“Well,” Maya started, “You cast spells…isn’t there a way to bring them back to normal?”
“Perhaps,” the Spellcaster replied after a moment of thought, “Perhaps you are onto something.”
She walked to the Galaxy Book and said, “I only wish the Keeper were here with me. He saw the Book most recently, having edited it all, the Seer’s prophecies and my spells included...so he probably would know better than I whether I had a spell for such an occasion.”
“Where is the Keeper?” Maya asked.
“He,” the Spellcaster replied, “And all the other male Rangers, save the Defender and the Phantom, are in Terra Venture’s fuel room. They are trying to give moral support to the Green Ranger so that he can help the Colony to move on.”
“I must be out of it,” Cassie replied, “How long has it been since you and I talked, Maya? I thought the guys were all still here.”
“Well,” Maya replied, “You fell asleep for a good several hours. I only came back into your room to talk some more when I saw you waking up.”
“I guess I’ve just had a lot on my mind,” Cassie said as she shook her head. “Now,” she said, turning to the Spellcaster, “Back to that reanimation spell you were talking about.”
Damon worked hard, sweating and tugging at one off Terra Venture’s multiple large engines. He then sighed as he stared down at the ground in frustration.
“I’m trying to fix it,” he said, “So that it will use a minimal amount of energy when traveling…it needs to know that the colony is essentially “parked,” and that it doesn’t need to waste fuel hovering in space. But the climate of this Galaxy seems to have warped its engines, and I just don’t…”
“Relax,” Kai said, “You’ll figure it out.” He turned back and looked at the clock as he said, “Hey, the Commander is expecting me back now. But I know you can do this, Damon. Good luck!”
As Kai ran away, the Guardian said, “You have some good friends, young one…do not forget that.”
“Yeah,” Leo added, “We’re here for you, buddy.”
Damon, sick of the heat, unbuttoned his shirt as he said, “Normally, you guys wouldn’t be allowed in here…but I could use the moral support about now.”
The Keeper smiled and said, “This is not a hopeless task. We are a strong group. There is probably something you have not yet thought of.”
“Maybe…but in the meantime…could you step off for a second?” Damon said, waving away the four Rangers surrounding him. They backed up to the stairs and walked up to the balcony. Now overlooking Damon’s work, the Rangers stared at the annoyed Damon pulling on a large lever and sighing. The Warrior said, “Hopefully, the solution will come to him soon.”
Mike continued to chisel away with one hand at the rock wall before him. He anxiously looked about, trying to see if the Phantom Ranger had set anyone free yet. But surely, he would be the first one to be freed so that he could help the others? Mike stared down at his bound wrists. The iron rod linking the handcuffs was too long—he couldn’t put his Magna Morphers together even if he wanted to. He then looked up at the sad old man, still unconsciously trapped in the stocks. Sighing, Mike thought, Please hurry, Phantom!
The Spellcaster flipped through the Galaxy Book, growing increasingly more tired as the pages wore on. Finally, near the back of the book, she spotted a page, first one with glowing silver lights, and then, right after that, one with pictures of three Galactabeasts—the Lost Ones, coincidentally—roaring happily at the sky.
“Here it is, once again,” the Spellcaster said as she shook her head, “The Seer’s knowledge was great. He predicted the Galactabeasts’ fate, and probably told me to find an according spell…oh, that man.”
Inexplicably, the Spellcaster then looked down at the ground and began to whimper a little bit. Cassie patted her on the back and said, “Hey…be strong. You and four of your other teammates lived. Who’s to say that the Seer too isn’t alive?”
The Spellcaster nodded and said, “You’re right—I must take my own advice and be strong for my teammates.”
“So,” Maya said, “Can you bring the Lost Galactabeasts back to normal?”
“I hope so,” the Spellcaster said. Then, looking over at Cassie and then Maya, she said, “Yes, I think I can.”
Mike looked up in anger. Almost a half an hour or so had passed, he thought, and there had been not one indication that the Phantom Ranger was nearby. Still off in his own little world, Mike thought. I have got to talk to him about Cassie. But not now. Suddenly, a shimmering in the air caught Mike’s attention. The Phantom Ranger! Sadly, the Phantom Ranger’s moving hadn’t been subtle enough, and it had caught Barbarax’s attention too. The henchman waved his mace in the air and riled the Swabbies over toward where the Phantom Ranger had appeared. Panicking, Mike leapt away from his workstation, and thought, I can wait for him no longer.
He ran in front of the now fully visible Phantom Ranger toward the oncoming Barbarax. Barbarax swung his mace and prepared to lop off Mike’s head, but Mike put his cuffs in the way instead. The metal rod was broken, and with a powerful kick to Barbarax’s gut and a cry of “Magna Power!” Mike had become the Magna Defender. All people around him, Terra Venture citizens and the like, gasped at the revelation of who the Magna Defender was. Mike then fought his way past the Swabbies, leaving them and Barbarax for the Phantom Ranger, as he used his Magna Blaster in Sword Mode to free the old man from his shackles. The man blinked into consciousness, and arose gently from the stocks as Mike lifted him. The old man then gasped in words foreign to Mike as Mike turned around and saw Barbarax aiming his mace at the pair and yelling to the Swabbies, “Get them!” Phantom Ranger was behind Barbarax, busy tackling more Swabbies. Seeing the odds were not in his favor, Mike yelled into his left Morpher, “Hey guys, now would be as good a time as any!”
“And now, the spell is complete!” the Spellcaster said in triumph. “When we next see our friends the Galactabeasts, they will be in their animal forms once more.”
Maya nodded gleefully and said, “And just in time, too!” as her and Cassie’s Transmorphers beeped. The three then raced out of the living quarters, but not before some wind rustled the pages of the Galaxy Book, and Cassie noted that a seemingly familiar page was now completely blank.
Meanwhile, Damon was tugging on a lever with one hand and hammering at the engine with another, but to no avail. As his and Leo’s Transmorphers beeped, Leo yelled, “You’ll have to get back to this another time. Let’s go!” Damon sighed and grabbed his shirt as he, Leo, and the three Ancient Rangers then darted up the stairs and out of the engine room. As Alpha explained the situation to the unaware male Rangers, Leo gulped and said, “Come on guys, let’s pick up the pace!”
The eight Rangers then gathered aboard the Astro Megaship, where Kai was already at the controls. “Took you long enough,” he said, “I may not be Mike, but I can still find ways to sneak away from Captain Stanton when I need to. Are we ready?”
“Yeah!” Alpha answered.
“Before we go, we’d better morph,” Kai said, “So we don’t waste time when we get there.” Kai, Cassie, Maya, Leo, and Damon called, “Go Galactic!” while the Ancient Rangers muttered their morphing calls. Kai then pulled on the accelerators and said, “Hyperspeed go! We’re moving on out of here!”
Mike and the Phantom Ranger held their blasters and fired against the oncoming Swabbies. They seemed to be holding them off pretty well for a while, but soon Barbarax made his way to the front and floored the two Rangers with a swing of his mace. “Now, say goodbye!” he laughed.
“Monsters first!” a voice called from behind Mike and the Phantom Ranger.
Behind them stood the old man in the yellowing robes, the one who, unbeknownst to them, had tried to warn Captain Stanton of Mutiny’s corruption. Mike was in awe that the old man who had previously seemed so weak now stood so proudly. Stranger still was the fact that the old man flashed his wrists and showed a yellow Ancient Morpher upon them. A few indiscriminate words later, the Yellow Ancient Ranger, the final Ancient Ranger, stood tall before them.
http://www.supersentai.com/database/1993_dairanger/images/yellow.jpg
“Thank you, Defender,” the Yellow Ranger said, “And stranger. It is good to see you. I cannot say the same for you though, Barbarax.” The Ancient Ranger pulled out a long steel rod from the air and began striking Barbarax with it. He fought remarkably well. The Phantom Ranger and the Magna Defender seized the moment and fought off the Swabbies, joined in by the rebelling slaves.
A few minutes later, the Astro Megaship landed a short distance from the mob and out came the nine Rangers. “Seer!” the Spellcaster cried as she approached. She took out her rod and struck Barbarax to the ground with it. She and the Yellow Ranger then hugged before teaming up and striking down Barbarax again. The other Rangers then approached and, once on the scene, assumed fighting poses. The Red Ancient Ranger called, “Leo, you and the other Galaxy Rangers must guide the slaves back to the Astro Megaship. We Ancient Rangers will fight off the Swabbies and Barbarax.”
“And I,” the Phantom Ranger said, “Can unbind them.”
The Phantom Ranger raced past the Galaxy Rangers and blasted off the chains of every slave that ran by. The Galaxy Rangers held the slaves and led them toward the Megaship, with Alpha 6 ushering them in at the door. The Ancient Rangers fought hard against the Swabbies and Barbarax.
Back on his ship, Mutiny saw this scene, and thought, NO! Within a matter of minutes, as he watched helplessly, all of his slaves had been cleared onto the Astro Megaship, which was now clear for take off. The Ancient Rangers, the Galaxy Rangers, and the Phantom Ranger stood in front of the heavily panting Barbarax and the beaten Swabbies. Captain Mutiny shook his head and began hyperventilating as he thought, This can’t be…I’ve…never lost. Making matters worse, the five Galaxy Rangers then summoned their Orion Armor and began to stare down the Captain’s lowly minions. That’s it, the Captain thought, I can wait no longer. It’s time to raise the Titanisaur.
Deviot raised his mask and stared at the new remote for Titanisaur. It is excellent, he thought, as is this magnificent beast on which we rest. And soon, his power will be all mine.
Deviot’s basking in his own success was interrupted by Mutiny’s bursting through the door and gasping, “Is it…ready…now?”
“Why yes, my lord, why do you ask?” Deviot replied.
“Rangers…at…camp…must…strike now…” Mutiny breathed as he waved his hook to motion Deviot out the door.
“All right I’m coming…but will I get to pilot Titanisaur against them?”
“Yes, yes,” Mutiny spoke as he attempted to recover his breath, doing so finally with a gulp. “Now let’s go!”
Deviot clicked his heels together as he ran forward and said, “Yes…let us!”
Suddenly, Captain Mutiny and Deviot appeared before the Rangers and Barbarax and the Swabbies. Captain Mutiny turned on Barbarax and said, “Clearly, entrusting you with the safety of the camp was foolish. Idiot!” Captain Mutiny raised his hook and struck Barbarax across the chest with it. He then turned to Deviot and wrestled the remote from him. Next, he struck Deviot with his hook and said, “And you…taking so long with this device…you’re lucky you’re still alive!”
“But Mutiny, our deal!” Deviot pleaded.
“What deal? You think YOU would pilot my star beast?” the Captain cried as he pressed the blue button on the remote, causing a large white sea dragon to warp into sight overhead and descend behind him, crushing all the Swabbies and barely missing Deviot and Barbarax, “Unlikely.” The dragon looked mean and spiteful, with various mechanical parts about its body and glowing red eyes. Equally spiteful was Captain Mutiny’s showing little remorse for the killing of practically his entire crew. Captain Mutiny then laughed heartily and haughtily and bellowed, “Now, Rangers! The time to fight is nigh!” Captain Mutiny leapt high into the air and landed atop the Titanisaur’s head as he called, “Ancient Rangers, Galaxy Rangers…I challenge you to a duel!”
“Fine by us!” the Seer called. He then turned to his teammates and muttered, “We’ll get reacquainted later.”
“We’ll take you on!” Mike yelled.
“We’ll beat you easily…and do you want to know why?” the Seer cried.
“’Cause we are…” the Phantom Ranger started.
“THE POWER RANGERS!” the twelve Rangers called in unison as colored smoke billowed behind them with seemingly no explanation. Then, they prepared to summon their zords. As they did, Deviot glared at Barbarax and said, “You fool! If it weren’t for you, I would be piloting that beast right now, and have all the power in the universe!”
“No,” Barbarax retorted, “If it weren’t for YOU, I wouldn’t be in Mutiny’s bad graces right now.”
Deviot raised his blaster hand and said, “I don’t like playing second fiddle.”
Barbarax pulled out his mace and said, “And I don’t like being upstaged.”
“Let’s settle this matter as all disgruntled generals to,” Deviot started.
“WITH A DUEL TO THE DEATH!” the two finished simultaneously.
But the Rangers, like Mutiny, were paying the generals no heed. They were in the process of summoning their artillery to fight the Captain’s great war craft. Mike was the first to summon his zord with a call of, “Torozord, Arise!” As Mike transformed into the Mega Defender and then Defender Torozord, Phantom Ranger followed his lead by shouting, “Artillatron, Descend!” The ten remaining Rangers then finished up the summoning by calling, “Galactabeasts, Arise!”
All eight Galactabeasts appeared out of the sky before the Rangers. The Rangers stared happily and almost welled up with tears as Maya said, “They’re back to stay,” to which the Seer replied, “And they are beautiful.” The Spellcaster nodded and said, “I’m glad you like them…our wonderful, animate companions for life.”
The five Galaxy Rangers used their Trandaggers to transform their individual Galactabeasts into Galactazords, next combining them into the Galaxy Megazord. The Warrior and the Spellcaster, the Guardian and the Seer, and the Keeper leapt atop the Rhino, the Phoenix, and the Shark Galactabeasts, respectively, and then with their mystical power rods waving transformed the three Galactabeasts into the Centaurus Megazord, the Stratoforce Megazord, and the Zenith Carrierzord. The Seer accompanied the Guardian in the cockpit of the Stratoforce Megazord, and the Spellcaster joined the Warrior in the cockpit of the Centaurus Megazord. With all the Megazord formations seemingly complete, the Galaxy Rangers shouted, “Lights of Orion, activate!” and allowed the Galaxy Megazord to don its own Orion armor, becoming the Orion Galaxy Megazord.
Then, to the Galaxy Rangers’ surprise, the Spellcaster said, “Now that we are a team…can we not do the same?” The five Ancient Rangers then shouted, “Lights of Perseus, Activate!” Defender Torozord instinctively uttered this call as well. The five Ancient Rangers donned silver armor similar to the Rangers’ Orion Armor. Then, their Megazords began to change accordingly as they did. The Centaurus Megazord’s Blaster nearly doubled in size, and across its chest appeared a long silver plate. The Stratoforce Megazord gained silver arm and leg covers, and the boomerang’s length became even greater than it once was. Finally, the Zenith Carrierzord gained a silver helmet, as shockingly, Defender Torozord did as well. Mike then gained a silver shield in its right hand to accommodate the twin lance in his left hand.
“Let’s not leave Alpha out of this!” Leo cried, “I’ll bet the slaves want to get their revenge on Mutiny as much as we do!”
Beside the three Megazords and two Carrierzords arose the Astro Megazord recently transformed from Megaship Mode, with Alpha 6 and the freed slaves at the helm. The Astro Megazord, Orion Galaxy Megazord, Perseus Centaurus Megazord, Perseus Stratoforce Megazord, Perseus Defender Torozord, Perseus Zenith Carrierzord, and Artillatron all moved forward one step as multi-colored smoke exploded wildly behind them.
“Your days of evil will soon be over, Mutiny,” the Seer rasped, “Your fate is at hand.”
Mutiny, in awe of the Rangers’ huge arsenal, took a moment to shake his head before he spoke, “It matters not, Rangers! The number of toys you have is meaningless, for my Titanisaur is stronger—and it’s quality, not quantity, that counts! But I will agree with you on one count…a fight to the finish is at hand. And the loser will not be I.”
“I will fight you to the death!” Deviot cried as he and Barbarax charged one another.
“I will fight you to the death!” Mutiny screeched.
“Bring it!” the two teams of Rangers and Barbarax yelled back. Then, the battle began.

Episode 42. The Great Wall of Fire
Mutiny steered with a wave of his hook the great behemoth on which he rode. “Attack!” he cried.
Deviot charged toward Barbarax, arms raised. They both knew that only one winner would emerge from this fight victorious.
“All right, teams…team,” Leo called, “Let’s make this fight count!”
Titanisaur’s first target was the Orion Galaxy Megazord. With a swish of his tail, he knocked the Ancient Rangers’ zords to the side. Artillatron, however, managed to duck away from the tail and get in a few good blasts on Titanisaur. But the beast seemed unaffected. Titanisaur then clamped its mouth down on the Megazord’s helmet, causing the Megazord to shake wildly about. “We’ve got to get ourselves out of this deadlock!” Damon cried.
“Yeah, but how?” Kai asked.
The answer came from a Double Lightning Spin attack from the Perseus Defender Torozord. The slash from the four-pointed lance created a huge gash in Titanisaur’s side and caused it to spark uncontrollably. A double head butt from the Perseus Defender Torozord and the Perseus Zenith Carrierzord then sent the great Titanisaur flying.
“Arghh…they’re strong!” Mutiny bellowed, “But I am stronger still!”
Upon hearing Mutiny’s command of “Now!” Titanisaur dug its tail into the ground and leapt into the air. Its machine-like appendages then began to glow a bright red color. The Perseus Stratoforce and Centaurus Megazords raised their weapons to block what they knew would be an incoming attack, but their defenses proved too weak. The attack ripped the ground apart as it came and knocked the two Megazords to the ground.
Mutiny laughed and caused the Titanisaur to assume a laughing position. However, both enemies stopped laughing when a double slash attack slit the beast’s stomach open. Mutiny looked over from the reeling Titanisaur at the Orion Galaxy Megazord and the Astro Megazord, both itching to battle.
“I didn’t want to be left out of this battle either!” Alpha cried from the Megaship hold. The freed slaves beside him cheered and whooped approvingly.
“Oh, Alpha!” Cassie laughed. “Now for you, Mutiny!”
Mutiny growled angrily and glowered at the Rangers, “Seems like they are tougher than I thought.”
“It as I predicted,” the Seer cried from the Perseus Centaurus Megazord cockpit as the Megazord began to right itself up, “United, we cannot be defeated.”
“Yes,” the Guardian replied as he and the Keeper managed to stand up the Perseus Stratoforce Megazord as well, “Mutiny will never defeat both of our teams.”
“Hyaah!” Deviot cried as he clenched his fists tight. Barbarax raised his mace, knowing that the time to strike was upon him. The two reached one another at last and began exchanging blows. A kick from Deviot landed Barbarax on the ground, but the downed warrior soon raised himself up. He was not ready to be defeated yet.
Mutiny laughed as the Titanisaur, battered though it was, continued to stand. “You have not met true power just yet. Watch this!”
The machine-like parts on the Titanisaur lit up and fired a huge blast once more, this time a green one that knocked all the zords to the ground. Mutiny cackled as he brought the Titanisaur to the downed Astro Megazord. “You traitors will be the first to die!” he laughed as the dragon throttled the weakened Megazord.
“Do not harm them!” the Warrior cried. He nodded to the Spellcaster, and the two steered the Megazord into an upright position. The Perseus Centaurus then fired its mighty blaster at the Titanisaur, causing Mutiny’s pet to drop the Astro Megazord. The Keeper then cried, “Don’t forget us!” as the Perseus Stratoforce Megazord leapt into the air and while descending hurled its supercharged boomerang at Titanisaur. Finally, the Perseus Defender Torozord, riding atop the two Carrierzords, barreled into Titanisaur, and sent him crashing to the ground. All the zords then stood in a line before Mutiny once more. “It is over,” the Seer said, “Give up.”
“It is over!” Barbarax called as he repeatedly clubbed Deviot with his mace, to the point where Deviot was on the ground with his hands up in surrendering, “Give up!”
“Never!” Deviot rasped. He raised his laser hand and shot a blast at Barbarax. The warrior staggered back and gave Deviot enough time to get up and face him once more.
Mutiny smiled evilly and said, “Never.” The downed Titanisaur then whipped its large tail and tripped the zords. The Astro Megazord, however, managed to leap quickly up again, as Artillatron rolled away. As the other zords fell, however, Titanisaur leapt up and caught them with its elongated tail, binding them all together next to its body. The zords’ weapons had been dropped, and the Rangers cried out as Mutiny said, “Now…to self-destruct!”
Barbarax and Deviot stood facing one another again. The final strike was about to be dealt—though to whom, neither knew.
The Rangers struggled to free their zords, but to no avail. Artillatron’s fire and the Astro Megazord’s hacks seemed ineffective against the brutalized Titanisaur. “I should probably be going,” Mutiny noted as he looked at the countdown. “Quickly, we must flee!” the Spellcaster called out, “Now…before it is too…” but she was cut off by a massive explosion engulfing everyone encompassed by the Titanisaur’s tail.
The two raced towards one another and struck as they crossed paths, Barbarax with his mace, and Deviot with his laser fist. To the outside, the winner would have appeared uncertain—but both villains, panting heavily, knew who had finally one.
“You know what’s funny?” Barbarax said as he stood weakly, his body still spewing smoke.
“What’s that?” Deviot snickered while spluttering, his back still to Barbarax.
“We’ve both been made fools of,” Barbarax laughed.
“What do you mean?” Deviot cried as he turned on the pirate.
“While we were distracted, Mutiny fought down the Rangers with Titanisaur…now, both Titanisaur and the Rangers are gone. We both missed our chances, and without even knowing that Mutiny was manipulating us.” Barbarax said no more as he gently fell to the ground on his knees, and then bent over and exploded.
Deviot whirled his head away from Barbarax’s smoldering remains and stared high behind him, where indeed nothing was left but lengthy streams of flame. Deviot turned his head up and curled his fists as he screamed, “MUTINY!!!”
But Mutiny too was nowhere in sight. In fact, no one was. Deviot seemed to be the only one left after the attack. “He can’t be gone,” Deviot muttered, “Well, when he returns, I shall be awaiting him.” The robot then fled with a shimmering of light.
Once Deviot had gone, out of thin air footsteps began to pound into the sand. The Phantom Ranger appeared and stumbled forward, looking around for any signs of life. As he stared at the debris around him, flames with no visible parts in sight, he noted a number of bodies exiting from one of the flames with a few grunts.
The Phantom Ranger was relieved to see the six teens emerge, with Cassie leading them. He raced up to Cassie and said, “You’re alive!”
“And…I can almost see your face,” she said. She smiled and attempted to reach her hand through his cracked visor as she said, “You seem so familiar…”
The Phantom Ranger quickly became aware of himself and waved his hand in front of his face, fixing his visor once more. He then turned back to the teens and said, “How is it that you are alive? Our zords are nowhere to be seen, and you emerged from that fire without a single wound! How can it be?”
“I don’t know,” Maya said, shaking her head. She then looked at her hands, realizing she had been de-morphed. But her Transmorpher seemed to be intact. She then looked at Mike and said, “Hey…where are the Ancient Rangers?”
The seven Rangers looked around, but saw only the pillars of flame. However, from behind one of those pillars rolled out Artillatron, on top of which rode the Astro Megazord.
“Hey!” Alpha cried through the Astro Megazord’s transmitter, “You’re all alive! Which is great, because it doesn’t seem like Mutiny is. Now all we have to do is…say…where are the Ancient Rangers?”
“We don’t know!” Leo cried into his Transmorpher, “We haven’t seen them.”
“Well, I’m afraid that we’re going to have to leave them,” Alpha cried, “Terra Venture is in a bad way right now, and if we don’t go back soon, the entire colony will sink and be consumed by a black hole!”
Damon’s eyes widened as he cried, “The engines! I forgot all about them!”
Kai shook his head and said, “But we can’t just leave the Ancient Rangers or the Galactabeasts here!”
“Not to mention,” Cassie said, “That without the Spellcaster, we have no idea how to escape the Lost Galaxy!”
“They’re Rangers…they’ll be okay,” Mike said, “And right now, I’m sorry to say that the colony needs us more.”
The Phantom Ranger nodded as the Galaxy Rangers looked reluctantly at one another. What were they to do?
The decision had to be made, finally. The Rangers boarded the Astro Megazord once it had entered Megaship Mode, and they along with Artillatron flew off through the air. A short while later, the team had reached the space colony.
Into the Control Tower came Mike, followed by all the slaves they had found. Mike looked at the Captain, wedged against the dashboard because of the excess of people, and shrugged sheepishly. “We had to save them…can they stay?” he asked.
Commander Stanton shook his head and said, “I only hope that here is a better place for them to stay…because if our engines aren’t fixed in the next quarter hour, then…”
“Don’t worry,” Mike said, “Damon’s on it.” He then saluted and pushed past the slaved as he ran down the hall.
“Ahh,” one of the male slaves called, “Is not the Magna Defender great?”
Commander Stanton assumed a puzzled look as he asked, “Magna Defender? What do you mean?”
“Why, that man,” a girl slave called, “He’s the Magna Defender.”
Commander Stanton nudged past a few of the slaves and moved towards those who were talking as he said, “I thought that Mike was the Red Galaxy Ranger.”
“No, he’s the Magna Defender all right!” the girl spoke excitedly.
“Hmm…” Commander Stanton said, “I wonder why I thought differently?”
In Terra Venture’s engine room, the six Ranger teens along with Phantom gathered. Damon tugged at the broken lever on the machine to no avail. He looked up at his silent but sympathetic teammates and groaned as he pulled and said, “You’re not helping me here!” He then sighed and said, “Look, why don’t a few of you go try to figure out how to get this rust bucket out of the Lost Galaxy once it’s fixed. Okay?”
Cassie nodded to Damon, and tapped Leo and Kai, who followed her out of the engine room. “Listen,” she whispered as they raced toward their living quarters, “We’re the only ones who can do this. I have the most experience as a Ranger.”
“What about the Phantom Ranger?” Leo asked.
“Kai, you’re brilliant,” Cassie continued, ignoring Leo’s question, “And Leo, well…you’re the leader. So you should have some idea of what’s going on around here.”
“What do you mean?” Leo hissed back angrily.
Cassie stopped and sighed for a moment before turning to face the two Rangers following her. “The Ancient Rangers are gone,” she said, “And it’s now up to us to figure out a way out of the Lost Galaxy.”
“He shouldn’t be doing this alone,” Maya said, feeling strangely aroused as she watched the frustrated Damon sweat, “We’ve got to do something!”
“Yeah, but what?” Mike asked.
The Phantom Ranger stared at the two Rangers accompanying him on the balcony before he tapped them both on the head and said, “Teamwork…is that not what always solves our problems? Let’s go help him!”
The three Rangers descended the stairs and raced over to the engine where Damon stood, pulling on the lever with him. He shook his head and laughed as he said, “Thanks guys.”
“Sometimes,” Cassie said as the three teens entered the living quarters, “The simplest solution is the best. I was baked in a giant pizza once…and you know how I got out of it?”
“How?” Leo asked, thinking, I hope I never have to hear this story again.
“I got cut out,” she replied, “So, the answer to reversing the Keonta Spell could be as simple as…reading it backwards or something. I don’t know.”
Leo’s eyes brightened, and he shook his finger at Cassie as he said, “That’s just simple enough to work!”
Kai shook his head as Leo grabbed for the Galaxy Book on a nearby desk. “I wasn’t serious…” Cassie started, but she was too late to stop him. He quickly shuffled through the pages and at last found the Keonta Spell. “Avokah…Etinalem…Avorak…” Leo called. After these three words had been uttered, flames shot out of the book’s pages. Leo slammed the book shut and threw it into the air. Cassie caught it before it hit the ground and shook her head at the frightened Leo. “Rookie,” she muttered. She then rubbed the book’s front cover as she thought, I can’t believe this might actually work. She slowly, delicately turned the pages until she found the Keonta Spell. She breathed slowly, and spoke the word, “Atnoek.”
At that moment, the four Rangers struggling with the engine managed to bring down the lever. “We did it!” Damon cried ecstatically, “Minimum output has been engaged. We can now safely make it to the New World with what fuel we have left!”
“All right!” Maya shouted.
“Yeah!” Mike cried.
The three Rangers hugged and managed to reel in the Phantom Ranger too. “We did it…as a team,” he said.
Nothing equally exciting had happened yet in the living quarters, however. Cassie waited for the book to do something…but nothing happened. She sighed and was about to put the book down when it erupted into a ball of flame in her hands. She screamed as the flames streaked out and melded with the window. However, as she looked down at her hands, she realized that she had no burn marks. “Look!” Kai then cried. The three teens looked out and saw an enormous vortex of flame and lightning, through which they recognized some familiar star systems. They were staring at the portal back to their own galaxy.
The three teens were so awed and overjoyed that they almost didn’t notice when their Transmorphers beeped, “Hey guys, we fixed the engine!” Damon cried. Cassie shook her head and called back, “And we managed to open the portal back to our galaxy!” “If only the Ancient Rangers…” the Phantom Ranger started, but then he stopped. Leo moved his face toward his morpher and called, “Get up here, you guys…let’s get moving!”
Commander Stanton whirled around upon hearing the cries of excitement coming from the freed slaves behind him. He too was confused at how this great abyss of flames could lead them back to their own galaxy. “Is it safe to go through?”
“I think so,” Mike called from the doorway. Commander Stanton was about to speak, but then stayed quiet. “Come on,” he called, “We’re going home!”
The five Galaxy Rangers and the Phantom Ranger gathered in their living quarters and smiled as they saw themselves getting closer and closer to the portal. However, all six of them cried out when the portal seemed to shrink to about half its original size. Granted, the portal was still big enough for the colony to enter through—but were it to shrink again, it would not be.
The Rangers merely stared ahead fearfully, unsure of what to say. They were still afraid when they noticed that the Phantom Ranger had disappeared from sight and reappeared in control of Artillatron, moving toward the Great Wall of Fire. He thought to himself, Without the Pink Ranger’s love and trust, I have nothing left to live for anyways.
Cassie stared as Artillatron held the portal open. She bit her nails, trying to hold back the tears. Mike merely stared as he thought, I was about to go out there…but, without Torozord…
The six Rangers couldn’t bear to watch Artillatron struggling to push and prod the portal open. As the Carrierzord was much smaller than the colony and the portal, the Phantom Ranger had to drive Artillatron about wildly to tug every end out. The colony managed to slip in just as Artillatron slipped out temporarily. The teens were relieved until Artillatron tried to slip back through the portal and was crushed as the portal halved itself in size again. The teens cried out as they looked through the side window of their quarters and saw only flames behind them. They were speechless as they finally appeared out of the portal in their own galaxy.
From the Scorpion Stinger, Trakeena spotted the ship and thought, Excellent…but where is Deviot?
Her question was soon answered as from behind the colony a giant pirate ship emerged, able to travel through the portal easily due to its smaller size. Trakeena laughed and steered the Scorpion Stinger towards the ship as she said, “Let’s get him, Villamax.”
The Rangers were further fearful when they spotted the Scorpion Stinger coming right at them. Unbeknownst to them, however, Trakeena had a different target in mind—and so they were very relieved and surprised she sailed right by them without even giving them so much as a warning shot.
Deviot scurried about the ship after collecting some supplies from his workroom. Where is Mutiny, he thought. He couldn’t have been…
“Killed? Never!” a familiar voice bellowed.
“Mutiny,” Deviot spoke coldly.
Mutiny, completely uncaring of what Deviot was thinking, asked, “Where’s Barbarax?”
“He’s dead,” Deviot answered, “I killed him…just as I will now kill you.”
“Deviot, my boy, what do you…” Captain Mutiny asked before Deviot charged toward him and slashed the Captain across the chest with his welding torch. He then used the torch to overheat Mutiny’s hook so that it could expand. After blasting Mutiny again to disable him, Deviot stretched out the Captain’s hook, as Captain Mutiny screamed in agony. Deviot then wrapped the hook around both of the Captain’s arms, before tying his arms to a door handle. “What are you doing?” the Captain cried out of pain and fright.
“Something I should have done long ago,” Deviot said. After throwing the welding torch to the ground, Deviot unwrapped from his arm a greasy rag he had used, as Captain Mutiny pleaded, “Deviot, ple…” But he was cut off as Deviot wrapped the rag around the Captain’s mouth and gagged him, in case there were any Swabbies remaining aboard the ship. “Trakeena thinks I am here,” Deviot said, “Instead, she’ll have to make due with destroying you.” Captain Mutiny gave a few more muffled cries as Deviot shimmered away from view. Trakeena, unaware as to what was happening inside, fired a close-range blast at the ship, and incinerated it with one shot.
Mike, Leo, Kai, Damon, Maya, and Cassie watched this scene with a mix of confusion and content. However, sorrow soon drowned the teens’ emotions as they sat in their living quarters during the aftermath of their escape. Six of their Ranger friends had been lost today, in addition to their friends the Galactabeasts. Cassie tried to wipe away tears from her face as she put everything together. She looked up in surprise when the door to the quarters opened and a multicolored ball of light entered. The light then faded and brought into view the Phantom Ranger.
Cassie leapt up from her chair and hugged him. “If you had gone…” she began, but the Phantom Ranger silenced her with a touch of his fingers to her lips. “With my powers…come the powers of every Ranger. All their essences are within my Power Ruby. And for that reason…I can never die. And with their spirits linked to me, a living being, they too cannot die.”
“You mean,” Kai started, “You were saved by the spirits of past Rangers?”
“Well,” the Phantom Ranger said, “No Ranger can every really die completely.”
“So, then…were you saved…by the Ancient Rangers?” Leo asked.
The Phantom Ranger slowly nodded his head.
“Phantom…does this mean that you’re not…human?” Cassie asked.
The Phantom Ranger bowed his head and said, “It’s complicated, Cassie…I am, but only partly…and I have these spirits within me…just as the Galactabeasts have spirits within them. Which is why I hope that they are still alive.”
As the Rangers smiled at one another, a beep from Alpha came on their morphers. “Rangers, guess what! You won’t believe it!”
“We know, Alpha,” Damon replied happily, “The Ancients and Phantom are…”
“No!” he said, “The Galactabeasts…not the Ancients’, but yours! They’re back! All six of them!”
The Rangers became ecstatic at this remark. But Maya interrupted with a remark of, “How can it be?”
The Phantom Ranger shrugged and said, “You have more powers within you then you believe. I guess fire is less destructive than we believe it to be. The Ancient Rangers clearly had strong connections to it, as the portal leading back to our Galaxy was made of it. It couldn’t harm them, and it couldn’t harm their zords. Their flames also allowed you to escape the battle with Mutiny unharmed. We may never see them again, but at least we know that they completed their mission, and that they are now safe in their home of the Lost Galaxy.”
Mike nodded and said, “So everything worked out in the end. I assume then, that Artillatron is fine too?”
The Phantom Ranger nodded. All six Rangers, to his dismay, then grouped around him, and gave him the warmest, most loving gesture he had ever received: their embrace.
Aboard the Scorpion Stinger, however, moods were not as pleasant. As Trakeena spotted Deviot via one of the ship’s cameras in the Storage Room, she nodded and turned to Villamax. “Let’s go greet him, shall we?” Trakeena held out her arm, and Villamax escorted her out of the control room. Kegler saw them leaving, and followed, bobbing with excitement.
Deviot, unaware of his being followed, laughed as he approached the Cocoon. Soon, I will have the power I so richly desire, he thought. He stumbled a bit, before stretching his hand out toward the object.
“Hold it!” Trakeena called, “Don’t you want to say hello?”
Deviot cried out and turned to see Trakeena, Villamax, and Kegler staring at him with evil eyes. “Why, uh…hello my friends. How’s everything?” he asked. As the stepped toward him, he collapsed to the ground in fear. He knew that their imminent welcoming was not going to be a kind one.

Hello all,
I have some bad news that can be considered good once you listen to my excuse. I am in a play that is about to begin its production week. Thus, this weekend has been one of doing all I can to stay afloat amidst my heavily flowing river of work this week, as all throughout this week and the subsequent weekend, I will be involved with the play. The good news is that I saved a bunch of money on car insurance by switching to Geico!>.><.< Actually, all three parts of the finale will be up a day at a time after Thanksgiving. This new deal means that sooner than you expected, you will see how Cassie altered the events of PRLG...including the Phantom's identity being revealed! Thanks for your patience, and stay tuned!

Episode 43. Journey’s End, Part I: The Merge
“I’ve been searching for you for a while Deviot, hoping that you would emerge from the Lost Galaxy soon,” Trakeena sneered as she circled the fallen Deviot, “But who would have thought, that in the whole Galaxy, you would end up near the planet where we first found the Data cards and those two rogue Power dweebs?”
“You asked to see me, Commander,” High Counselor Renier said as she saluted and entered into Stanton’s office.
“I did,” he said, “For…there is some news we must speak of.”
“I’m not surprised,” she said, “Since we haven’t spoken in quite a while.”
Stanton sighed and motioned to a chair in which she then sat. He stood, pacing.
“There is some good news. The Rangers are still alive, and that pirate Mutiny was destroyed by Trakeena…who seems to have gone away, as it were.”
“All right…”
“Mike…”
“The Red Ranger you let off so easy despite his absence?” the High Counselor asked with a smile.
“Yes…he is in fact the Magna Defender…and he and his Rangers saved a number of inhabitants from Mutiny. And they’re still here to protect us.”
“That’s good,” the High Counselor said, slightly disinterested with this good news.
“Furthermore, Damon, our most trusted mechanic, has put our engines on the low-output function…which would mean that we would be able to make it to the New World with the little fuel we reserved in the Lost Galaxy.”
“Would?” the High Counselor said as she straightened up in her chair.
“High Counselor,” Commander Stanton said as he stared at the ground in silence for a moment, “Do you remember when we were traveling and the atmosphere suddenly became an odd shade of red?”
“I do,” she said, “Why do you ask?”
“We…we are at that point….in the galaxy.”
“What do you mean?” Renier asked as she stood up with a start.
“We have re-emerged into our galaxy…far from where we left it. Even with our engines exerting as minimal an effort to travel as is mechanically possible…we do not have enough fuel to make it to the New World.”
“Traitor!” screamed Trakeena as she fired at Deviot a beam from her staff, “Betraying me to join Captain Mutiny! Just what do you have to say for yourself?”
Deviot stared at the ground and released a throaty laugh. “What can I say…I’ve always wanted power…it started with the time where I killed…”
“SILENCE!” Villamax called. He ran toward Deviot and delivered a flying jump kick to Deviot’s head. Deviot fell back and groaned as he felt his shoulders encompassed by sticky fluid.
“You should have known,” giggled Kegler, “That these two would destroy you if you left.”
Trakeena raised her staff, Villamax raised his sword, and Kegler bobbed with excitement.
“I…” Deviot started, but saw that the moment to reason with them had eluded him. With a fierce battle cry, he leapt from the floor and blasted Villamax and Kegler away with his wrist mounted laser. Then, after fighting off Trakeena’s staff blows with his pure metal force, he managed to turn her around so that she faced the cocoon. Turning his head around to see the two fallen warriors rising, Deviot knew that his choice now was critical. He punched Trakeena in the gut—hard. She staggered back and fell against the coccon. Deviot slowly menaced toward her and said, “Now, I shall have my power.” Trakeena screamed as the cold metal digits clung onto her like tendrils and rammed her forward, and then gradually, painfully, became a part of her own being.
“I don’t understand,” Renier murmured, “Who else have you told of this?”
“No one,” Stanton whispered, “But,” he started, his pitch rising as his nerves hardened, “I’m sure there are at least…a few others who have realized as well.”
Renier angrily shrugged her shoulders and got up and paced while saying, “Well, what do you expect me to do? Just say everything’s okay, bounce away with a smile? We have many people aboard the colony whom we will not let down, Stanton.”
“Many more thanks to the recapturing of Mutiny’s slaves…”
Renier closed her mouth and then her eyes, sitting back down in her chair. Drumming her fingers together, she released a heavy sigh. After a moment of silence, the High Counselor looked up at Stanton and said, “Do we have emergency evacuation shuttles?”
“Yes, I believe so,” the Commander answered.
High Counselor Renier stood up once more, this time with more lethargy and resignation. She paced toward the window, and then turned back toward Stanton. “I doubt our emergency shuttles have much fuel in them either…what is the nearest planet?”
Stanton pointed out the window to a large, rocky mass and said, “Well…the nearest body we can see is that moon over there. I’m afraid it’s all we’ve got.”
Renier shook her head after observing the satellite and said, “So it has some tress…but does it even have a breathable atmosphere? Water? FOOD?”
Stanton smiled gently and looked at Renier directly in the eyes. “I’m afraid we’ll have to find out together.”
“My queen!” Villamax cried. He ran to the cocoon and punched hard, but was merely sent back by an electrical discharge. Grunting, he lifted himself up with Kegler’s help.
The two stared at the moving mass of webs, hoping that somehow, soon, Trakeena would emerge. Strangely, thirty seconds later, she did—but she was not at all the same.
She now had long, cord-like tendrils coming from the back of her head, as well as Deviot’s familiar wrist mounted laser on her left hand, the non-staff-wielding hand. She seemed dustier, less familiar but more…mechanical. This new trait emerged fully fleshed when she laughed a bellowing, echoing laugh like that of a claw scratching against a metallic surface.
“I’m back,” she boomed. “And now that my more useless half is in check, we can get to work on eliminating those Rangers again.”
Villamax shook his head, confused as to how perky his queen seemed. “My lady, you are…completely all right? What of…”
“That fool?” she laughed. “Gone. Completely under my control. Now…we may have passed Terra Venture earlier, but we should still be able to catch it judging by how slowly it was moving. Let us go to the control room.”
Villamax stared after his mysterious queen and whispered to Kegler, “She is not the same she once was…something is horribly amiss.”
Cassie awoke with a start upon hearing the blaring alarm in her room. Always before I see the Phantom’s face do I wake up, she thought angrily. The flashing red alarm above her bed drew her attention next. This isn’t the Power Chamber, she thought, what’s the warning bell overhead here for?
Cassie received her answer as her door opened and Leo appeared before her. “I’ve just gotten word from Kai…we’re evacuating Terra Venture.”
“What?” she cried, leaping from bed with a start, “Why?”
“I don’t know!” he cried, “But the alarm’s been saying on a loop that all Terra Venture citizens should report to the Shuttle Bay immediately. I confirmed the instructions with Kai, and he says he’s as clueless as we are.”
“Does everyone else know?” Cassie asked helplessly.
Gesturing to the ceiling, Leo said, “With an alarm like this in every room…yeah, I’m sure most people know.”
Cassie shrugged her shoulders and said, “Well, then, that’s that. Let’s get out of here.”
“Yes, yes, yes!” Trakeena laughed, “Just a few light years away, as I predicted. Here it is!”
The great blue Space Colony of Terra Venture in all its structured complexity hovered a sizeable but manageable distance away from the Scorpion Stinger. Also within sight was the moon on which Terra Venture was about to land, though Trakeena didn’t know about these facts.
“Now…we destroy the engine! Terra Venture falls through space, eventually to a black hole…and we watch and win!”
Villamax shook his head and said, “My queen, if I may interject, isn’t your fight with the Power Rangers?”
“Yessssss!” Trakeena spat angrily. “And?”
“Well then,” Villamax started uneasily, “Why do you wish to bring down the whole of Terra Venture along with them?”
“Because Terra Venture never surrendered the Rangers to us anyways…they deserve the punishment.”
“Well, in all fairness my queen, you’ve never really given them a chance…”
“Fine!” she yelled, “I’ll demand that they hand the Rangers over, and if not, the space colony sinks through space, all right?”
“Okay,” Villamax replied. As Trakeena shimmered away, he thought, But what a cowardly way to go about getting your foes to meet you for the last time.
“I guess this is it,” Renier said, “I mean, it’s too bad. This colony really brought us to this point…I was sure we could’ve gone…”
A flashing of light, a stuttering laugh, and an erupting of fear came when Trakeena teleported into the room, similar to the Wicked Witch’s entrance in “The Wizard of Oz.” But this evil being was not able to be melted with water, emotion, or anything else.
“Here’s the deal, Counssssselor,” Trakeena hissed as she grabbed the High Counselor by the scruff of her neck, “Hand over the Rangers to me…place them atop the Command Tower in thirty minutes…or else.”
“Or else what?” said Commander Stanton with bravery.
“Or elssssse,” Trakeena hissed again, punching Commander Stanton in the stomach to reinforce her point, “The whole space colony sinks.”
Commander Stanton nodded apprehensively to this demand. “Yes, Trakeena…we’ll do as you say.”
Trakeena smiled and said, “You’re cowards…but intelligent cowards.” Then, with an effect the same as with which she entered, she left.
“Commander,” the High Counselor said as she rubbed her neck, “Why were you so compliant with Trakeena’s requests?”
Commander Stanton smiled wryly and laughed. Seeing Renier’s confusion, he gesticulated grandiosely and said, “In a half an hour…we’ll be aboard the shuttles and away from here for good.”
Renier nodded and said, “I like the way you think, Commander.”
“Everyone ready?” Leo asked as the teens with their bags walked up behind him. Cassie, Maya, and the Phantom Ranger all nodded.
“Good…then let’s go.”
The journey to the Shuttle Bay was a brief but busy one, with all sorts of people frantically scurrying to and fro about the hallways. A hall monitor stood in each hallway patrolling and ensuring that every citizen was capable of leaving. Past people bustling, hustling, and muscling to ensure that every possession and person they loved was with them the teens walked, finally arriving at the tall white Shuttle Bay doors.
“Okay…here’s the drill. We help Kai with boarding people aboard the shuttles…then we take the Megaship out of here. Phantom, you’ll take your shuttle right? Phantom?”
But not surprisingly, the Phantom Ranger was one step ahead of Leo. After a pause in which the Phantom Ranger assured himself that the hallway was temporarily empty, he whispered, “You can’t see, but I just gave you a nod.”
“Okay, then we’re good to go…let’s hit the road!”
A moment later his Transmorpher beeped. “What’s up?”
“This is Damon…I thought you should know why we’re evacuating.”
“Yeah?”
“Leo…we didn’t end up where we thought we would. We’re near Rashon, where we fought Psycho Pink. We traveled quite a distance from there before entering the Lost Galaxy, but our coordinates don’t seem to indicate that idea.”
After a silence, Leo engaged the conversation further. “So?”
“So,” Damon sighed, “Our New World is going to be…a moon.”
Leo turned to the others and pointed to the rock in the sky, “You see that? It’s…home sweet home.”
“Thanks Damon…good luck buddy.”
“I think we all need it, Leo.”
Trakeena paced about the room briskly. Almost surreptitiously Villamax instructed, “Do not be so impatient when you don’t even know if your plan will succeed.”
“What do you mean?” Trakeena called.
“All I mean…no! Enough.”
Villamax turned directly to Trakeena and said, “This plan is a most dishonorable one, and I find that you would threaten innocent people to serve your own needs highly…AH!”
Villamax cried out as Trakeena brutally slapped him across the face with every ounce of her mechanical might. “Do not question my intentions again, Villamax…or you won’t live to regret doing so.”
Villamax held his cheek and stared solemnly at his unfamiliar queen staring out the window at Terra Venture. Checking a clock on the dashboard, Trakeena confirmed, “Well…the half hour’s over…let’s…huh?”
Trakeena watched the numerous shuttles evacuating the colony and heading toward the moon. “No…what the…what is this?”
Kegler huddled next to the stricken Villamax and patted him gently on the back. Villamax just glared at the frantic queen, wondering who she was now.
“Mike,” Commander Stanton said as the final shuttle was about to depart, “I wish to thank you for everything you’ve done for me…and the colony…as the Magna Defender. Thank you.”
Mike was surprised, but smiled and thanked the Commander anyway.
The Commander sighed as he turned on his heels and looked at the near empty bay, “But…seeing you…and your Rangers…and all the people who are leaving to start life aboard a new planet…makes me feel happy. I think I’m okay with the prospect of moving on and colonizing life elsewhere. I just hope we CAN live there.”
The Commander smiled and patted Mike on the shoulder before gesturing to the Megaship and saying, “Go and join your other Rangers. Oh, and tell them…that their boarding was very subtle…I still don’t know who they are!”
Mike smiled and said, “Thank you, Commander.” He saluted to Stanton and then, after watching him board the shuttle, boarded his own spacecraft.
“Okay, guys,” he called to the other Rangers, “We’re on our way…wait! The Galactabeasts!”
“Don’t worry!” Alpha replied as he came clunking over to the Magna Defender, “They’re all set. They can teleport to the planet whenever they feel ready. By the way, where is it?”
Mike nodded and pointed to the craggy surface of the moon toward which they were traveling. The shuffling robot seemed ready to whoop when Mike said “Now let’s go.”
Trakeena glared after the shuttles and slowly spoke, “If they think…that that easily…they can get away from ME…then they’re crazier then I!”
Trakeena whirled around and cried, “Villamax! Call every Stingwinger in the horde! Tell them to stop those shuttles from landing on the moon at all costs!”
Villamax nodded and reluctantly turned to leave. Turning back to the control console, Trakeena said, “And I will make sure that the Astro Megaship cannot help while their precious friends are being attacked! Deviot has everything under control!”
Kegler shook his head and stared at who he had thought until now was Trakeena. He then began to bob away down the hall, thinking, I must warn Villamax!

Episode 44. Journey’s End, Part II: Mind Overmattered
“Not so fast!” cried Trakeena as she heard the light but loud steps of the barrel-like minion escaping the control room. “So…you heard who I am.”
“But…how…”
“During the fusion process, our brains merged too. What can I say…I was stronger…I won.”
Kegler frantically bobbed his head and said, “Villamax will not be pleased…”
“Insolence!” screamed Trakeena, “Now he will never know!” She grabbed the barrel-like minion by the waist and threw him against the ceiling. Before he could descend, she began to blast him with her staff, infusing so much burning power into her energy attack that only the smoldering ash that was once Villamax’s attendant remained.
Villamax re-entered the room and cried out as he saw the familiar pair of glasses atop the pile of cinders. “Trakeena…you killed Kegler…why?”
Trakeena abruptly stopped laughing and said, “He annoyed me. Don’t ask again or I will hurt you.”
Villamax bent down and softly scooped up the glasses of Kegler. After dusting off some of the ash, Villamax thought, This has become too much.
“Looks like smooth sailing so far,” Kai called to his teammates.
“Yep,” Damon said, “Unlike Terra Venture, these shuttles should be able to make it to the New World with ease.”
Everything on the radar screen seemed perfectly normal…until the Scorpion Stinger landed right in front of the Astro Megaship. Kai jumped back and exclaimed, “Whoa…what’s going on?”
Maya walked closer to the screen and examined the pincers menacing the Megaship, “Trakeena?”
The spacecraft nodded before punching forward its claws and ramming back the Megaship. At the corners of the screen Cassie could see thousands of Stingwingers flying forth to take down the innocent shuttles.
“Oh no…what do we do?” Cassie cried.
Leo stared and shook his head, “We’ve got to form the Astro Megazord and fight Trakeena.”
“But…those people…” Damon started.
Mike gave his teammates a hard stare, “We have to stay calm. The Galactabeasts can take on the Sting…”
“Umm,” Alpha interrupted politely, “There’s a reason the Galactabeasts can teleport…when they’re not in zord form, they can’t just waft through space! Remember the Lost Galactabeasts? They sunk and were forgotten until Deviot picked them up!”
Leo stammered, “But…that means that…the Galaxy Megazord can’t help us!”
“Calm down. They can’t help us immediately, but they can help us eventually,” Mike said, “First, the Galactabeasts would have to teleport to the moon…”
Everyone fell back and cried out as the Stinger rammed them impatiently. “Megazord Mode!” Alpha cried. Mike then went on, “There, we’d transform them, then the Galaxy Megazord…”
“We don’t have time for that!” Leo cried, “We have to fight Trakeena! Besides, we CAN’T teleport…we’ve only got our Jet Jammers! And we can’t leave Alpha! We need a better solution NOW!”
The Rangers helpless stared at one another, waiting for someone to come up with a solution. Kai angrily slammed his fist against the control panel, but then looked up when he noticed something happening to the Stingwingers trying to bring down the shuttles.
White, see-through spirits of some sort appeared in flashes of flame. With swift movements, they propelled the Stingwingers away from the shuttles. Seeing this occurrence, Leo called to the others, “Now’s our chance…the Galactabeasts might be able to carry the shuttles with these things’ help!”
“Galactabeasts, Arise!” the team called.
As Alpha called for the Astro Megazord Blaster and shot away the Scorpion Stinger, the Rangers saw the Galactabeasts appear into view. They seemed weighted, but nevertheless placed on their backs the burden of the shuttles. They didn’t seem to be able to do much, however, when the ghosts blocked Trakeena from attacking and avenging her Stingwingers’ failure.
“How…” Kai started, but then he stopped. He merely stared and smiled at the bird, fish, and mammal specters that stood before him. “Ancients,” he whispered happily.
The Galactabeasts gently held up the collection of tattered shuttles and flew them over to the rocky surface of the planet near them. While the Galactabeasts looked as though they would not make it in time, the ghostly animals behind them encouraged them. With much effort, the beasts continued to shuttle the shuttles toward the planet. The Scorpion Stinger bucked angrily at the spirits of the Lost Galactabeasts blocking its way. Once the citizens of Terra Venture had been safely placed on the planet, and the spirits of the Lost Galactabeasts had disappeared, the Astro Megazord stood before the Scorpion Stinger, ready for battle. The Galactabeasts waited beside the landed space shuttles, encouraging along with the Terra Venture citizens their friends.
“So the Stingwingers couldn’t kill them all at once…no matter,” Trakeena started, “We’ll just have to take them down individually! Stingwingers!” she called, “Fly to the moon and kill every Terra Venture citizen you can!”
“My queen!” Villamax started, “This nonsense has become too much…Why do you persist in hurting those who have not hurt you?”
Trakeena rolled her eyes and said, “You’re such a bleeding heart, Villamax.”
With a lightning-fast movement she shoved her staff powerfully at Villamax, so much so that it pierced his chest and went through his back on the other side. “Literally.”
As Villamax fell and gasped for air, Trakeena ripped out her staff, kicked him and said, “I always wanted to kill you, Villamax…and now I have.”
“Deviot,” Villamax gapsed, and Trakeena nodded happily. As she kicked him over to cover the pool of blood he was leaving, Villamax muttered, “Fight, Trakeena.”
At that moment, the Astro Megazord blasted the Stinger again and knocked it. Trakeena fell and landed face first in Villamax’s blood, his body still nearby. Getting up, Trakeena slowly gained consciousness. Seeing Villamax’s body, SHE realized what HE had done. She then stared down at the floor…and the blood…and her fallen mentor. Tasting the blood on her lips, she let out a horrifying banshee wail of pain and terror.
“All right, guys,” Alpha called to the now morphed Rangers about him, “Time to end this!”
The Astro Megazord Saber materialized in the Megazord’s hands. “Now…”
Get up, you fool, get up! Deviot’s voice echoed in Trakeena’s head. No, no, no! You murderer! Get out of my head! Oh, like you’ve never killed before, he reasoned. Not a friend, I haven’t.
Deviot’s voice cried out angrily and seized control of Trakeena’s mind. She drunkenly grabbed the joystick and sent the Stinger hurtling at the Megazord. Her control of the ship was so loose, detached, but compelled that the Stinger forced the Megazord all the way around and toward the surface of the moon, fortunately away from the citizens of Terra Venture, but not away from an impending crash.
“We’re going too fast,” Kai cried, “We need to get out!”
Behind the Megaship appeared Artillatron, who briefly slowed the approach of the Megazord. But his work wasn’t enough. “Time to leave, Rangers!” cried Alpha. They raced to the Jet Jammer bay and boarded the crafts just moments before the crash.
As he regained control gradually, Deviot made Trakeena steer the Stinger away at the last moment so that the Megazord and the Carrierzord were the only ones to crash into the moon. A sickening crushing and exploding noise confirmed that both had been destroyed.
You are weak, laughed Deviot to Trakeena. He then landed the Stinger on the planet, near where the Stingwingers were now brutalizing the citizens of Terra Venture, the Galactabeasts doing their best to help but their large size preventing them from being as helpful as they could be. Trakeena, with Deviot fully in control, teleported off the ship and appeared on the moon before the crowd of citizens and insects.
“Hear me, you deceitful fools!” she cried, “I give you one more chance…to hand over the Rangers!”
From the wreckage of the zords emerged the six unmorphed teens. Their Jet Jammers were parked a safe distance away with Alpha; but the Phantom Ranger, as usual, was nowhere in sight.
“You betrayed me once, and should you again, the Stingwingers WILL kill you. So? Any volunteers of Rangers I can destroy?”
“Mike!” cried one of the former slaves. This slave had been imprisoned once already, and understandably, did not want to die.
Bulk looked at Professor Phenomenus oddly and said, “How do I always manage to miss out on who the obvious Rangers are?”
“Mike, you say?” Trakeena began, “Good. Where is he?”
The other Rangers had managed to mingle with the crowd, but upon hearing his name called, Mike whirled around and made himself visible. The citizens of Terra Venture shoved him forward and right before Trakeena.
Both Trakeena and Deviot were delighted by this revelation. “The brother of Scorpius’ murderer…how I will enjoy killing you.” She immediately forgot about the other Rangers when she saw this gem. Trakeena grabbed Mike by the shoulders and called, “Stingwingers! Kill them anyways!” before teleporting away.
Leo cried out, “NO!” as he watched his brother disappear. The Galactabeasts cried out as they watched the Terra Venture citizens being pummeled. Leo and the other Rangers watched helplessly, unsure of what to do at all anymore.
“How I will enjoy killing you,” Trakeena laughed at Mike tied to the same column which his brother had been tied to before, “For what you have done.”
“Your brother killed Scorpius…it was so great too, because he was completely set up.”
What? cried Trakeena in her head. That’s right, answered Deviot.
“You…you set up your own father’s murder?” Mike stammered.
“Yes…no!” she answered. Trakeena stared at Mike, Deviot apprehensive of what he had just said, and cried, “No!” before delivering a lethal laser shot to Mike’s gut.
Mike cried out and fell forward, but in his bound state, couldn’t do much else.
Trakeena was now wrestling with Deviot in her mind. You…killed…my father! she cried. How could you do such a thing?
What can I say, he replied, I wanted power.
NO!!!!! This is it! Now, you die! Now you leave!
Mike couldn’t see the battle in Trakeena’s mind, where she had begun to strangle Deviot. All he saw was her running about the room in frenzy, shaking her head, convulsing, and cursing the name of Deviot. Mike was simply happy to be distracted from his own pain.
“What can we do?” Leo cried, “What can we do? The Galactabeasts can’t help us without hurting people…we’re too few to help…Mike’s gone…”
“LEO!” Cassie cried, “Snap out of it! I’ve fought helpless battles before, but beating yourself down is not the thing to do about it!”
“He’s right, though,” Kai started, “We’ve so little options…what can we do?”
“Not you too!” Cassie screamed, “Look…I can’t find the Phantom Ranger. But you know what I’m doing? I’m focusing on the task at hand. Leo, you go save your brother. Until we can think of a better idea, the rest of us will have to morph and fight off as many Stingwingers as we can.”
The Rangers moved out of sight and cried, “Go, Galactic!” before moving their separate ways. Cassie just hoped that this hopeless battle would resolve better than others.
“Away! Away! Die die die!” screamed Trakeena.
Mike just stared and almost laughed, awed at what he saw, ignoring his stomach wound. He was further awed when, after several minutes of Trakeena’s psychotic split, Leo flew in on his Jet Jammer and rammed her back against the wall.
Trakeena held her hands on Deviot’s now limp neck. You killed my father, and so I have killed you.
As she awoke, she felt the pain from the thrust pulsating through her body. She slowly got up and said, “Rangers…I have you both where I want you…and one of you appears to be in a much better state than the other,” she rasped, gesturing to Mike, whose stomach was now bleeding profusely, “But I cannot face you just yet. Now that I am myself again, I will…enter the cocoon…my father’s cocoon…and gain ultimate power. Deviot used it to fuse with me, but he is gone…and I…am here!”
Trakeena cackled and teleported away to the engine room. Leo then turned his attention the bleeding Mike and cried out. He quickly untied his brother and stared at the bleeding from his stomach. Soon, he knew, Mike would die. But how can I save him?
Leo then got an idea, surprisingly. A crazy idea…or was it? Trakeena had just told him about the fusing properties of the cocoon…and if she was right…
Mike tenderly lifted his brother off the column and said, “Come on, Mike…I’ll help you. You always helped me when I needed you, and now, it’s my turn.”

Episode 45. Journey’s End, Part III: The Man Behind the Mask
The four Galaxy Rangers on the moon helplessly fought against the numerous Stingwingers, knowing that they weren’t making much progress.
“We’ve got to think!” Kai called, “Think about what the Ancient Rangers taught us…what we can do with what we learned from them…what can the Galactabeasts do?”
Cassie stopped briefly before punching a Stingwinger in the face. She then turned to Kai and said, “Wait a minute…aren’t we not hurt by fire, according to the Rangers?”
“Not that that stopped the Megazord from dying,” Damon quipped.
“THAT,” Maya said as she kicked a Stingwinger in the gut, “Was because it slammed into a rock…a big, hard rock known as the moon.”
“But while we’re not hurt by fire, normal people probably are,” Damon said.
The Rangers kept fighting, searching wildly for ideas. Finally, Kai shouted, “Guys…I hate to say this…but there doesn’t seem to be anything we can do…”
“Don’t talk like that!” Cassie cried. As Kai was taken down by a Stingwinger, she body slammed it and allowed Kai to get up. “No matter how bad the situation seems, no matter how helpless we seem to be…the Power Rangers will always know what to do!”
“Come on, Mike, just a little further,” Leo cautioned.
Descending the ramp to the engine room was a grueling task for Mike, but Leo supported him throughout. Slowly, Leo allowed Mike onto the floor, afraid of Trakeena surprising them. He then looked down and saw and smelled the rank, slimy footprints leading up the opposite ramp; clearly, Trakeena had been and gone.
Mike groaned and cried as Leo helped him hobble to the cocoon. “Mike, we can do this,” he urged, “Just hold on.” He then reached for the cocoon and hoped for the best.
Upstairs, Trakeena had entered the control room, now fully mutated. This form was her green form—in it, she looked completely like an insect, with big yellow eyes, green skin and muscles, and intimidating antennae. Her feet were slimy and left a reeking trail wherever she walked. But she had power, and that fact was all she cared about. Best of all, Deviot was gone for good, so the power was all hers.
“I’ll make you proud, Daddy,” she said, “And I’ll crush those silly Rangers for you.” She then grabbed the joystick and prepared to attack the citizens of Terra Venture.
Out of the cocoon stepped the merged being. No one would have known upon sight that two people coexisted in this singular new life form. He was proud, tall, and mighty. He was the Red Galaxy Ranger.
“Now I see,” came Mike’s voice from Leo’s body, “Why destiny was confused, and thought that I should have been the Red Galaxy Ranger.”
“We both were destined,” came Leo’s voice, “And together, we’ll stop Trakeena.”
“Let’s go!” the two cried at once.
Maybe it is hopeless, thought Cassie as she fought more Stingwingers, not daring to raise her Saber for fear of striking a citizen. Why should I save these ingrates who turned over Mike…no, they’re innocent. They’re scared—they can’t be blamed.
“But what can I do?” she called out, “What can I do?”
“YOU cannot do anything,” a voice spoke, “But I can.”
Cassie stopped, and watched as the several Stingwingers surrounding her fell the ground. She then turned around and saw the helmet of the Phantom Ranger appear in view, his face revealed. The brown eyes, the dirty blond hair, the earring…she was sure she knew him.
“But how…” she started, but he waved her away and repaired his visor with a flash of his hand. “Later,” he said, “Now, I owe more people than just you.” He then grabbed his Power Ruby from his chest and said, “Just as Zordon cleansed the world of evil just a while ago…now I cleanse this planet in his name!”
Three flashes of light signaled the oncoming assault of the Power Ruby. A red wave of light spread from where the Phantom Ranger stood and spread outward. The Rangers were de-morphed and the citizens were healed. But most importantly, the evil Stingwingers were turned to dust. The Galactabeasts roared triumphantly.
The Phantom Ranger fell, and Cassie walked to his side. He clutched his chest and breathed heavily. “Thank you,” she said, but he replied, “No, thank you, for trusting me for so long. Soon, I promise I will repay you—but right now, Leo and Mike need your help.”
Cassie followed the Phantom Ranger’s hand to the Scorpion Stinger rising into the air. She nodded to him, and called to the other Rangers. By now, everyone knew who they were—but as their journey would soon be over, Cassie wasn’t concerned. She had revealed her identity once already, so this second revelation and breaking of Zordon’s rules didn’t seem as bad as the first. “Guys…let’s go get the Jet Jammers and get up there. Galactabeasts, stop that Stinger from hurting anyone here.” The beasts roared in approval, and her teammates smiled at her. It’s good to be a veteran, Cassie thought.
“Trakeena!” Mike’s voice called. Unless he was talking to Leo, his voice was always the one that stuck out when morphed. “Your time is up. Surrender.”
Leo whistled as he saw Trakeena turn on her heels. To think that I actually thought she was hot once! She glowered, “Never…I have power…and I will use it to destroy you!”
Punches and kicks were exchanged between the pair as the autopilot steered the ship. Trakeena countered Leo’s saber slash with her staff strike—the two were deadlocked.
“It’s over, Ranger,” she said as she knocked his saber to the ground, “You have lost!”
“Not yet!” Kai cried. Into the control room flew the four remaining Galaxy Rangers on their Jet Jammers. At once, they struck Trakeena and brought her to her knees.
As she reeled, Leo called, “Let’s do this, guys!” The Rangers were confused to hear Mike’s voice, but were currently more concerned with defeating the bug princess. “Lights of Orion, Activate!” the teens called. Their armor donned, they attacked the weakened Trakeena at once with their group energy attack.
However, the attack failed. They bounced off Trakeena, and she seemed unfazed. She then used her staff to fire a powerful wave at the five teens. They were all floored. She stood above them and pointed down her staff as she laughed, “Goodbye, Rangers.”
However, the five teens swung their sabers simultaneously and knocked her staff away. They then got up and struck her to the ground together, but she managed to strike them all down as she fell. Leo was the first to rise, having the strength of two within him. “Trakeena is too strong…so it’s time we power her down.”
The Keys appeared in his hands as he called, “The Ancient Rangers will be once again with us in this final battle. Red Armored Ranger!” His additional armor loaded on top of his Orion Armor and made the powerful warrior seem nearly invincible. Trakeena looked afraid.
Leo grasped her with his claws and said, “Back up, guys…this could get ugly.” The other Rangers grouped behind him as he drew Trakeena in close. “Goodbye, Trakeena. FIRE!” The missile blasts in the small range devastated not only Trakeena but the front half of the ship…although the smoke clouded their vision, the Rangers could feel the floor sinking beneath them as they began to fall.
Fortunately, however, they landed. When the smoke had cleared, the Rangers could see the Galactabeasts gently lowering the Rangers to the ground, Leo included. “Remember,” he said, “Fire can’t hurt us.”
Cassie looked around wildly and said, “Wait a minute…where’s Trakeena?”
Kai looked around as well and said, “Yeah…shouldn’t your armor have powered her down…and not killed her?”
He was right, but the Rangers weren’t too concerned. As she was not within view, they considered themselves to have won. Only when she reappeared a year later and threatened a town on earth would the Rangers realize their mistake and beat her for good.
But for now, they were content. As they landed on the ground, they were happy to be greeted by the droves of happy citizens and familiar friends. Bulk and Professor Phenomenus were the first to approach.
“Well done, Rangers!” the Professor cried giving each Ranger a high-five.
“Yeah…” Bulk muttered, then, giving Cassie a hug, cried, “You got me again!”
More surprising, however, was the Red Turbo Ranger greeting the Rangers.
“Robot T.J?” Cassie asked as he, she, and the other Rangers de-morphed. “What are you doing here?”
“Well,” he said, “I’ve learned a bit from talking with the Phantom Ranger. Turns out that your Trakeena that you just seemed to beat was the one Eltar was worried about. We can feel safe again thanks to you, Galaxy Rangers.”
“You mean…” Cassie began.
“Eltar is the New World,” Robot T.J. concluded happily.
Damon looked around at the overpopulated region where they all stood, “Wait…Eltar can’t be big enough to support all these people…what will we do?”
“There turns out to be an easy solution to that problem,” a voice came from the crowd. Phantom Ranger appeared before the Rangers and continued, “Mirinoi was in the Lost Galaxy until recently, as you know. The slaves of Mutiny all lived on Mirinoi, as it were! Mirinoi was the home of all the residents of the Lost Galaxy, including the Ancient Rangers, for quite some time. Since I believe you have some unfinished business on that planet anyway, we can deposit the slaves back on their home planet and thus allow the citizens of Terra Venture to live peacefully and with enough resources on Eltar.”
“There’s just one problem,” Maya said, “How do we get back to Mirinoi?”
“I believe I can solve that problem too,” the Phantom Ranger said. A silver black remote shimmered into his hand and he depressed a small red button on it. As he did, through a large, multicolored portal in the sky appeared a sleek, smooth black jet.
“What…is THAT?” Cassie asked.
“You didn’t really think I’d come back to join you and not bring a new zord with me?” the Phantom Ranger laughed. “This is the final zord that Zordon gave me, the Shadow Winger. It is his legacy, and it comes from the future. However, he did tell me that it would serve one purpose before it had to return there permanently, and I believe this is it. Its speed is unmatched, and its riding is great—it will take us all to Mirinoi and back.”
“Then what are we waiting for?” Damon asked, “Let’s get this puppy moving!”
After promising to return shortly, the Galaxy Rangers and the Phantom Ranger, along with the former slaves, boarded the Shadow Winger. The Galaxy Rangers morphed before boarding. Within minutes, the great zord had arrived on the lush, forested surface of Maya’s home planet, Mirinoi.
The slaves and the Rangers were disappointed to see that the planet was still encased in stone. The Rangers turned to one another and sighed. However, the Phantom Ranger said, “You underestimate my usefulness.” He began to use his Power Ruby again when he fell to the ground, exhausted from the previous strain on Eltar.
“No,” Cassie said, “You’re still weak. Besides…this mission to save Mirinoi and bring Terra Venture safely into the New World was ours…we should be able to save it.”
“Maybe,” Maya said, “Since the Quasar Sabers caused our problem, they can solve it too.”
The Rangers shrugged. This suggestion was as good as any other. The Phantom Ranger and the slaves watched as the five Galaxy Rangers placed their sabers into the stone from which they had drawn them a while ago.
Like magic, the planet of Mirinoi came out of its petrified state once all five Sabers had been replaced and the teens had been powered down. Likewise, the Galactabeasts appeared behind the trees with flashes of light. At the same time, from behind the trees came a shining, silvery spirit, that soon revealed itself to a young, pale skinned Caucasian woman who now seemed to be in a very vicarious state.
“Kendrix!” Maya cried. She rushed forward and gave her old friend the greatest hug imaginable.
“You guys were great,” she said, hugging the Rangers, in turn, “All of you. But especially you,” she said, stopping before Leo and Cassie. “Without you, Cassie, I don’t think anything would have happened the same.”
“I certainly doubt it,” Cassie laughed.
“And Mike,” she said, “You had to sacrifice yourself to save Terra Venture. You made a brave and noble sacrifice.”
“As did you,” Mike said.
“But I am whole again,” she said, “And you should be too. You had to live as part of someone once already, when Magna Defender captured you. You shouldn’t have to share a body with Leo…you should be your own person.”
“What?” Damon cried, “Is that why your voice changed? Was that you behind that helmet, Mike?”
“It’s both of us,” Leo’s voice spoke, “I had to…bring him into the cocoon with me…so he wouldn’t die,” he finished softly.
“But for serving the legacy so well, you will be rewarded,” a voice spoke from near Kendrix. The spirit of the Magna Defender emerged from the Power Ruby and put his hands over Mike’s Magna Morphers, which now were on Leo's wrists. The Transmorphers, however, were gone from his and the others' wrists. As the Magna Defender waved his hands over the Magna Morphers, they cracked. Leo then glowed with green and black energy. A moment later, Mike emerged from Leo’s body, fully corporeal. The Magna Defender disappeared back into the Phantom Ranger’s gem.
“Mike!” Kai cried. The six Rangers then exchanged a big hug.
“You see,” Kendrix said, “Everything worked out for the best.”
“Mirinoi is back, and we’re all safe,” Maya stated. “But…Eltar is where we belong now.”
She looked at the Sabers, then the Galactabeasts, then at the people. “Some day we may be back,” she called, “But now, our place is on the New World, with the people we protected for so long. Goodbye, friends…I hope to see you again!”
“Goodbye!” Leo cried as he turned his back toward the people. However, the voice was of Mike’s. Mike gave Leo an odd look. “I guess you don’t have your powers, and I don’t really have my voice back,” Leo laughed.
The seven teens and the Phantom Ranger then boarded the Shadow Winger and returned to Eltar. The ship disappeared into a green time portal, and with it left a legacy.
As the Rangers descended from the jet, they were cheered once more. Cassie sighed and turned away from her friends, who were psyched to be reunited. They’re all fine, she thought, But I still haven’t what I’ve wanted for so long…
She turned around as a hand touched her shoulder. She looked up at the familiar helmet, yet the unfamiliar person: the Phantom Ranger.
“Cassie, you must understand,” he began, “That I never wanted to hurt you. You don’t understand…I’m not quite…human. I’m a ghost robot.”
Cassie sighed and said, “And I realized that I can’t just love a helmet…I need to see your face to love you.”
“And to love you…I need to show it to you.” He put his hands behind his helmet and unlatched it. Cassie’s eyes lit up as he lifted up the helmet and showed his face.
Cassie stared in disbelief. It couldn’t be…no, that just didn’t make sense. But it was. “Andros?”
“Robot Andros, actually,” he said, “You see, I am what I said I was: a ghost robot. The Power Ruby, with all the Ranger spirits within, comprises my ghost part, and naturally I am a machine…a robot.”
Cassie shook her head as he continued, “Zordon made me before the other Robot Rangers, since he knew Andros before he knew all of you. Karone’s Robot was defective for obvious reasons. Zordon wanted to make both of us Rangers from when we were young, but as he never could get a hold of her in her teens, the project didn't quite work out. And Zhane’s robot died out when he nearly did in that battle Andros and Zhane fought long ago.”
“That’s why Andros was freaked out when he met Robot T.J.,” Cassie reasoned.
“Yes…so…since I was the only functional Robot Ranger left…when he saw that you Turbo Rangers needed help…he gave me the Power Ruby.”
“So,” Cassie said, as tears streamed down her face, “I’m in love with a robot.”
At this point, all eyes were on her. Cassie laughed gently as she saw everyone, Rangers and citizens included, staring at her. The Phantom Ranger then gently held up his Ruby and said, “Cassie, many great things have happened today…do you not think that maybe there could be…one more?”
He concentrated on the Ruby and said, “Rangers, I have served you all well, helping wherever I was needed, and at the moment, no evil remains in the universe. Please, I don’t care if I lose my powers, but will you enable me to be with the one person I care about the most in the universe? Please?”
Robot Andros closed his eyes and clenched the Ruby tight in his fist as though praying. Cassie clasped her hands together and hoped too.
Then, a miracle happened. From the Ruby stemmed numerous spirits of past Rangers, all flying into Robot Andros’ chest. The last to touch him were the six recognizable spirits of the Ancient Rangers. Then in a flash of white light, the Phantom Ranger powered down for the final time.
Cassie staggered toward him as he touched her wrist and said, “Feel.” She gently stroked his chest, where no indentation existed anymore. He held up his empty hand and said, “My mission is finally complete.”
The crowed “awed,” and the Galaxy Rangers smiled and cried. “I love you…Andros.” Cassie said.
“And I love you, Cassie,” Andros said.
The two exchanged a long, passionate kiss. The crowd cheered, and the Rangers cried. Far away on Mirinoi, the Galactabeasts created fireworks—though they weren’t quite sure why. In the Lost Galaxy, the Ancient Rangers smiled; and from wherever his soul rested, Zordon laughed. And for a while, for just a little while, everything was right with the universe.

GS - After the first story I was excited enough that starting at #29 I read through til the end in the space of about an hour. =) You have a talent for storywriting, and it shows in how you weave plot elements together. I had a lot of fun reading about Cassie and Phantom's interactions, and while at first I was worried that the Ancient Rangers would start causing a terminal case of character bloat, you managed to prevent that from happening pretty effectively.
My main comment, on a general scale, would be that while your pacing is good, I had a lot of trouble with your transitions. Something would be happening on the Mountain Dome, and suddenly Leo would say something from the Megaship bridge and I had to stop and figure it out for just a second.
Nothing too major -- I'd offer to go over it with a fine-toothed comb but it looks like Wes will do that, so I'll just come back to read, I'm curious. =)
Oh, and I never -ever- saw the twist with Leo and the cocoon coming. The bit with Mike's voice was a nice add-on at the end. =)
You've done some really nice work with this one, GS - I hope my fic gets half as much done when I finally start it. ;)
(and yeah, I'm new here -- I read the whole story as a guest last night and signed up right after I was done. =)

Thank you for the review, Cuiran! I see what you mean about transitioning--while on the show, shifting scenes completely is a simple task, in writing, the skips between scenes need to be more fluid. Lately I've been working on these transitions in my other fic, Spectral Lights, trying to make the shifts better by having certain words link the thoughts as well as ending certain scenes and beginning the next in places that make more sense. Take a look sometime and please tell me if you think my technique has improved. Otherwise, I appreciate your attention to detail (if only Wes Janson were quicker;)), and wish you good luck with your own fic! I can't wait to take a look at it--your thoughtfulness in your comments shows that you are probably a very careful and detailed writer. And receiving comments from critics as informed as you always helps to improve a writer's abilities. Thanks again, and have a good day!
