Sunnydale; a dingy bar

I swore to myself as I bumped against the doorway to the bar I was entering. “ Son of a bitch. Ripped my best sweater,” I muttered as I picked at the tear in the fabric.

When I sat down at the bar, a man with slicked-back dark hair came up to me.

“ Bartender. I’ll take a rum pina colada. And hurry it up,” I said as I promptly yanked my sweater over my head and sat there in my no-sleeves yellow top and blue jeans.

The bartender kind of smiled. “ You sure you old enough to drink, honey? I mean, you don’t look it,” he added after I shot him a mean glare.

Without another thought, I reached out and grabbed his collar, dragging him halfway over the bar.

“ I’m twenty-one years old, moron. And don’t call me honey,” I added with another glare as I released him. He scurried out of sight to fetch my drink.

I noticed a bleach-blonde, spiky-haired man brooding over his drink at the opposite end of the bar. Smiling to myself, I got up and went to sit beside him.

He was decked out completely in black, and looked kinda bad-ass, which definitely piqued my interest.

“ Hi. I’m Bianca Daniels,” I practically cooed, putting my hand on the arm holding the drink.

He glanced up at me. “ Bloody hell. Can’t a fellow get some peace around here?” he muttered, gulping down the rest of his drink.

I knew it was a shot of peach wine because of the smell. “ An English accent? That turns me on, more than you know,” I purred, suggestively rubbing my hand across his arm again. He stared at me.

“ Bugger off, doll. I don’t want any company,” the man muttered again. A hand on my shoulder made me turn around.

A slightly-muscled looking man was standing there. “ Leave Spike alone. He doesn’t exactly deserve company,” the dark-haired man said.

“ Will you have a drink with me?” I asked the man.

He shook his head. “ My name’s Angel. But I can’t. I’ve got – someone to meet,” he added as he walked towards the door and left.

The bartender arrived again with my drink. I stayed beside the guy named Spike. “ Hey, Willie. Would it be too much trouble to ask for a decent moment’s peace and half-decent drink?” Spike asked the bartender.

Willie glanced from me to Spike. “ You know I don’t deal in violence, man. I treat everyone the same,” he muttered as he went back out of sight.

I whirled on my stool as I heard footsteps behind me. I all but dropped my drink when I saw the black-haired Mexican man standing there.

“ Senorita. My name is Carlos Sanchez. I apologize for this mongrel Spike, and for the service. How about I go somewhere else and get us both some drinks?” the man suggested. He had just enough of an accent to make my heart flutter.

“ Fine by me,” I chirped. I stood up and paused long enough to dash the rest of my drink against the wall. Carlos took me down the sidewalk to an alleyway. I was a little nervous as he backed me up against the wall.

i rote this up a few months ago, but i forgot how to copy and paste it onto here. as with most of my fics, it's an AU PR/Buffy crossover. comments appreciated.

When he brushed my long black hair away from my neck, I felt my pulse quicken.

“ You move awful fast don’t you?” I whispered as his hand caressed my neck.

“ Ah, senorita. You have no idea what I do,” he whispered. He backed off a few steps, giving me a better look at his features in the slightly dim light. Before my eyes his face transformed.

Bony ridges formed on his forehead as his eyes took on a demonic yellow glow. His canines grew to long sharp points.

“ Holy mother of God!” I screamed. His hand clamped over my mouth.

“ If you wouldn’t scream, this would go so much easier,” he hissed.

I felt his mouth on my neck, then I felt his teeth tearing into my skin. I wanted to scream again, but fear had paralyzed me.

He suddenly leapt away from me, causing me to gasp in a deep breath. I stared at him as a blonde-haired girl appeared on the scene. “ Don’t you vamps ever learn? The Slayer doesn’t like it when you attack innocent girls,” the girl quipped as she held up a sharp pointed stake.

Behind her appeared more than a dozen men and women. They all had faces like Carlos now wore.

“ Slayer, we’ve come to end your reign,” one of the females hissed. Spike suddenly dodged up to me. He closed his arm around my waist and tried to drag me to safety.

My instincts finally kicked in, allowing me to promptly jam my knee into Spike’s groin. “ I ain’t goin’ nowhere,” I said in a tightly controlled voice. Strong arms grabbed me from behind, dragging me off my feet.

I let out another scream as the group of demonic people surrounded me. The one they called the Slayer was currently cradling her broken arm against her chest as she tried to get up from a pile of trash bags.

Carlos came to my side, his long teeth still stained with my blood.

“ Come. We go to our home. I’ve got what I came for,” he hissed to the group. They went to a bunch of concealed motorcycles. Carlos forced me to climb on in front of him as he started his bike up and we drove off into the night.

I was kept from screaming by the thought that he’d kill me if I did. My thoughts were jumbled as we drove through the dark streets. I thought of my dead family as we entered some kind of garage.

California; a hidden underground chamber

A man paced back and forth in front of his four teammates.
“ We were recalled because Zordon and the other sages and Ninjor thought we should return to help the world. We were given our powers back. Trini’s and Aisha’s deaths were unfortunate, as well as untimely. Zordon has told me that we must travel to a town called Sunnydale, and scour the entire town for someone to replace Trini and Aisha as the yellow Ranger,” the shorthaired man said.

The guy in red was upset. “ Tommy, you know as well as I do that won’t be easy. The Putties and the Tengas will be hindering our way. She might not even want to join us,” Jason said as he glanced as his teammates.

“ I know that as well as anyone. Even I had doubts about being recalled to rejoin the team,” said Adam, the guy in black.

The one in blue added his thoughts. “ It might be hard. We have no idea what this woman is like. She could even be a criminal,” Billy mused.

Kimberly, the only girl, was dressed in her color – pink shorts and a white shirt. “ If she refuses, we’ll have to persuade her,” she simply stated. They started discussing their plans to find the next yellow Ranger.

I was scared to death as we drove inside this pitch-black garage. I felt a slope in the floor; then, suddenly, we were in a large lit-up room.

The group parked their bikes in a straight line – alongside some others – and once more surrounded Carlos and me.

Their faces had returned to normal, though I knew they were anything but. A Chinese girl stepped forward. She took my hand and gave me a thorough once-over. “ Our leader chose well. A woman who will bring much to this coven,” she said.

I jerked my hand away and punched her in the face. She stumbled back a step as firm arms once again immobilized me.

“ My senorita, you will not do that again. I might be obliged to let Star bleed you a little,” he told me. His voice no longer contained its sweetness. I ignored his warnings, tried moving away, and was rewarded with a slap to the face.

I slumped into Carlos’ arms from the blow, and didn’t recover until we were in a rather luscious bedroom. I stayed still until he laid me down. The minute his back was turned, I bolted from the bed for the door.

He let out an evil laugh and lunged after me. I still had my trusty little pocketknife hidden in my boot. I took it out as fast as I could and thrust it into his chest.

I left it there as I wrenched the door open and burst from the room. The group of demonic people emerged around me.

They failed to stop me as I managed to get onto one of the motorcycles and start it up. I aimed it for the nearby ramp and revved the engine to full power.

It shot forward. Before I got within five feet of the ramp, a moving blur from the side knocked me and the motorcycle over. I cried out in pain as I felt my right arm break in at least two different places.

Carlos’ face loomed over me, a mask of anger and savagery. I screamed again as he roughly picked me back up.

“ You foolish mortal,” he hissed. He swiftly took me back to the bedroom. Star followed and held me down as Carlos set my dislocated left shoulder back into place. Then he summoned a woman named Tasha.

She examined my broken arm and said I’d have to let it just heal back. She got out a sling and a cast for my hand. Within minutes, she had my broken arm in the cast and sling, and had me sitting up against a bunch of pillows on the bed.

I recognized her as one of the women from the group that had abducted me. I would’ve tried escaping again if I could’ve ignored the pain waves shooting through my arm. I was forced to swallow two strange black pills for the pain.

Carlos kept his gaze on me until I started feeling sleepy. “ My senorita will feel my wrath if she tries that again,” he hissed as I passed out

The next day, at Sunnydale High, Buffy Summers stormed into the school library. The librarian, a British man named Rupert Giles, looked up from the dusty old book he was reading.

“ Giles, we have a major problem,” Buffy announced. Her friends – Willow Rosenberg and Xander Harris – had come in behind her and sat at the table near the counter.

“ What is it Buffy?” Giles asked in his boring monotone.

“ Giles, last night a coven of vampires attacked me near Willie’s bar. He said some woman came in hitting on Spike and Angel, then left with some Mexican guy. I arrived just in time to save the girl, and Spike did too, but the group broke my arm and took the woman anyway,” Buffy said as she slumped into a chair beside Willow.

“ I have no doubt you had to rough him up a bit. Lucky for you you’re the Slayer,” Xander said, always a comedian.

“ Yes, well, this is unfortunate. If these vampires aren’t stopped, they may very well take over the town,” Giles piped up, his eyes never leaving his book as he paced the room.

Buffy stared at her Watcher. “ Um, Giles? Slayer here? I’m sure I’ll have no trouble getting rid of them,” she said, trying to lighten the mood she’d created.

“ Yes, that may be true. But I want you to see about getting Angel and Spike to maybe help you while they’re in town,” Giles replied, disappearing into an office filled with books off to the side.

Tommy Oliver wanted to scream underneath his visor as he used Saba to clear a circle around him. Tengas were swarming him and his four Ranger friends, making moving almost impossible.

Jason summoned the Dragon Shield, giving him an extra boost of power. He took out his Power Sword and crossed it with Saba and Billy’s Power Lance. This allowed them to fire an extra-powerful wave of energy around the five Rangers.

Kimberly was using her Blade Blaster to defend herself. She formed up with Adam – together the pink and black Rangers double-teamed the noisy Tengas surrounding them, destroying a great many.

“ Power Down,” the Rangers called out, instantly demorphing as the remaining Tengas disappeared.

“ That was pretty rough,” Adam mumbled as he dropped onto a nearby park bench with Tommy.

“ Yeah. They must know we’re trying to find a replacement to take on the Sabre-Tooth powers,” Kimberly agreed.

“ We can’t let that stop us. We have to get out of L.A. tonight if we want to reach Sunnydale in the next few days,” Billy muttered to the exhausted group. They agreed and headed back to their rented hotel rooms.

* * * *

When I woke up, I was still in the same bed I’d been in when I passed out. My arm was still smarting from being broken, but not nearly as badly. My sweater was lying over a chair nearby, the tear mended. Carlos was standing at the foot of the bed with Tasha, Star, and another strange male.

He gave me a rather evil smile. “ Tasha and Star will help you bathe. We have a party to attend,” he said. I shook my head and sat up in the bed.

“ Uh uh. No way. If I’ve got to bathe, I’ll do it on my own,” I stated firmly. Star also smiled.

“ That may be possible. Our leader has picked out a lovely yellow dress for you to wear,” she said as she helped me – rather forcefully – into the adjoining bathroom. She helped me undress, then left me to get in the tub by myself.

I managed to maneuver my left hand, using it to scrub my body. When I knew I was clean, I settled into the warm water to soak for a little.
I yelped in pain when something bit my shoulder. Opening my eyes, I saw Carlos’ demonic face, his fangs stained with my fresh blood. He leaned forward and kissed me before I could protest.

I tasted my own blood in his mouth as his fangs nipped my lower lip. When he drew back, his face had reverted to normal.

I didn’t know what to think as he left the bathroom. Not trusting him to stay out – and not trusting my own reactions to his evil kiss – I got out of the tub and slowly toweled myself dry. I slipped into my undergarments as Star entered the bathroom with the dress she’d mentioned.

It had diamond-like patterns over the entire thing, offset by black surroundings. It was strapless, but came with a light yellow jacket.

Tasha came in and led me back to the bed, where she helped me into a pair of two-inch platform sandals. “ Our leader will be very pleased if you continue to cooperate,” she said as she led me from that room out into the large room containing the motorcycles.

Star got onto a motorcycle with the man named Miguel as Carlos helped me onto his bike. I had to cling to his waist with my good arm as we took off. I kept my eyes closed to keep the wind out of my eyes as we entered the night air.

We drove for a while until Carlos finally stopped the bike. I was forced to follow as we entered some kind of club. Inside, a band of people were playing some kind of fast-beat song. Star disappeared into the crowd with Miguel, leaving Carlos and me standing together.

“ Senorita, would you like a drink? The same one you had at Willie’s bar?” he asked as we sat on some couches in the corner.

The music pounded around me as a waitress appeared and took our drink orders. Carlos’ smile was almost happy. “ This is another great place to find a quick dinner. This town is great that way,” he said, eyeing a brunette dancing nearby.

Our drinks arrived, giving me another excuse not to talk. I glanced across the floor, and noticed the dark-haired man from Willie’s bar enter the club. I glanced back at Carlos to find his gaze also drawn to the man called Angel.

“ He had to come here,” Carlos hissed. I stared, not knowing what to do, as Angel made his way directly towards me. Carlos disappeared into the crowd just before Angel sat down next to me.

He noticed my sling and cast, and asked what had happened. “ I – uh – escaped from these attackers when I left the bar. I used my motorcycle to get away, but ended up wrecking it near an old building. I met up with some – friendly people – who helped me set my arm,” I lied as his stare glanced across my face.

He seemed to accept this lie.

“ Why don’t you come with me? My friends can help keep you safe from
these vampires,” Angel said in a low voice. At least I was now positive what Carlos and his coven were.

“ I’m not sure about that. The bleach-blonde guy I was hitting on turned out to be one of them. He tried to save me, but only ended up bruising my waist,” I protested; yet another lie.

“ Spike will not hurt you. He is with me,” Angel replied.

“ Then I don’t think I’ll go with you. The girl that tried to kill them failed,” I said. At least that was the truth. As if on cue, the girl they called the Slayer – and a red-haired girl – appeared right beside us.

Spike was with them. I squirmed under their scrutiny. Spike reached forward and pulled me to my feet. “ Come on, doll. Let’s go. Buffy wants to keep you safe,” he said. I used my good left arm to shrug him off.

“ Look, I came here with some – friends of mine. I’m not going anywhere with Angel, and I’m most definitely not leaving here with you,” I replied as I turned to go. The girl called Buffy grabbed my arm, whirling me back around.

“ Listen, I don’t know who you are. All I know is that these vampires are dangerous, and that you could very well be in danger,” Buffy said. I returned her heated stare with one of my own.

“ They called you the Slayer. I know that much. So leave me alone, okay?” I retorted, flouncing away to the stairs. I climbed them to the second-story balcony, and sat down in an empty chair. Carlos soon appeared and sat across the table from me.

“ You handled that rather well,” he complimented me. I could see that he’d just fed, more than likely killing the person. I personally didn’t care at the moment, being too hungry now to think about an innocent death.

Carlos seemed to read my mind, and disappeared to order me a sandwich and some nachos, to go with the drink I’d already consumed. The minute he was gone, Angel appeared in the seat Carlos had vacated.

“ I saw you having a conversation with that man. He’s a vampire, and can certainly bring you no good,” Angel told me.

I was angry at his persistent manner. “ You ain’t exactly a good luck charm. If I’d had a drink with you like I wanted, I’d not be in this cast and sling,” I retorted. He looked slightly wounded at my remark.

The red-haired girl, Buffy, and Spike appeared around the table. “ You’re coming with us, doll. I don’t want to have to hurt you,” Spike said in his somewhat-sexy voice. I stood up and shoved away from the table.

“ For the final time, leave me alone. I came here alone, a twenty-one year old woman with no living relatives. I’ve survived the past week without help from outsiders, and I’ll continue to do so,” I stated in an angry manner.

I dodged Spike’s outstretched hands and moved towards the railing. I climbed over it and leaned out over the heads of the dancers below. I felt Spike’s cold hands trying to pull me back. I could only use my left arm to hang on, because of the broken right arm.

Spotting an empty couch directly below me, I swung myself out and jumped. I landed and bounced off the edge, landing on the floor.

I heard someone land behind me, and turned to see Spike and Angel getting to their feet. I got up first, and – straightening my sling over the arm – walked briskly through the crowded dance floor outside into the night air.

I was confronted again by the two men and two women who wouldn’t leave me alone. The girl, who Buffy called Willow, came forward.

“ Listen, please, we only want to help you. You don’t know what vampires can do,” Willow pleaded with me.

I could tell that she was trying to be nice, but I was irritated with the lot of them. “ I do know what they’re capable of. And I know what I’m not capable of. I am too old to have a guardian or go to school, but too young to really have someone to live with here. I have no more choices,” I told them, tears clouding my eyes.

“ You do have a choice, Bianca. You could stay with Spike or Angel or even Buffy,” Willow said.

“ Bloody hell, doll. I live in a bloody crypt, Angel boy lives in an abandoned old mansion, and I don’t think Buffy’s mum would appreciate some stranger moving into their house,” Spike said.

Star, Miguel, and Carlos appeared in the doorway behind me. I followed them to their bikes and climbed on with Carlos. I could feel the stares of Spike and Angel as the engines revved up.

“ Bloody hell. Bugger off, then, if that’s what ya’ truly want,” Spike called out as we drove away. Instead of going back to the vampire coven’s hideout, we went back to Willie’s bar. The minute he spotted me, Willie proceeded to duck behind the bar.

I leaned over it and used my good arm to yank him to his feet. “ Willie baby. Same drink I had last night. And some drinks for my comrades,” I added as the four of us sat down on the dingy stools.

Willie went to get the drinks, allowing me to get a small moment’s breathe after my confrontation with Carlos’ enemies. “ Man. I’m beginning to wish I had stayed at my parents’ old house. Coming here is beginning to look like a mistake,” I muttered.

“ Senorita, then I wouldn’t be here talking with such a beauty,” Carlos complimented me. I blushed as he leaned forward and kissed me. The plunk of our drink glasses on the counter made us pull apart.

I downed my drink in just a few minutes, surprising my companions. I’d just ordered another round for me and Carlos when Buffy strolled in the door and came to stand before Star and Miguel.

“ I’ve got a bone to pick with you. My friends discovered the dead body you dumped in the alleyway near the Bronze. We also came across a rather distraught woman who said a vampire had attacked her,” Buffy told them in a no-nonsense tone.

I watched as she took a stake from her pocket. She stepped forward and pressed the stake to Carlos’ throat. I set my empty glass down and got to my feet. “ Leave him alone, Slayer,” I said.

“ I don’t think so. He’s a vampire, I kill him,” she retorted. As she moved to stake him through the heart, I grabbed my glass and flung it against the side of her head. It shattered and knocked her to the floor, her stake clattering way out of her reach.

Star and Miguel high-tailed it out of there, leaving Carlos to defend me. I would’ve persuaded him to just leave if a group of strangers hadn’t walked in the door.

One of them bumped up against me as he helped Buffy to her feet. “ Are you okay?” he asked her. I gave his companions a once-over. Even that brief instant when he’d bumped me had alerted me to one thing: this man and his friends commanded great power.

The leader was dressed in a gold shirt and white jeans; the man directly beside him was dressed in a red shirt and red jeans; the two guys standing behind them were dressed in a black vest and blue jeans and a blue vest and blue jeans; and the girl bringing up the rear was dressed in a pink pair of shorts and a white shirt.

I grabbed Carlos’ hand and we moved away from the new arrivals, making our way to the door. As I chanced a glance back, I saw the girl staring rather intently at me. I forgot about it as we raced down the street on Carlos’ bike.

“ Are you sure you’re all right?” Tommy asked the blonde-haired girl as she got to her feet. She grabbed a rag from a nearby table and muttered that she’d be fine when she got ahold of the girl who did this.

“ We came here looking for a girl who exudes great power. It may sound weird to you, but its imperative that we find her before its too late,” Adam added as the group sat at the bar.

“ Nothing much sounds weird to me after the past few years,” the blonde-haired girl muttered.

“ We did some underground research on this town, Buffy. Our old leader said that you are the vampire slayer. And that this place is known as the ‘Hellmouth.’ The gathering place for every evil imaginable,” Kimberly said.

A group of Tengas came crashing through the doorway. Their cries upset even the vampires, who fled out other exits. The blonde-haired girl got to her feet.

“ Your words couldn’t have been more true. Looks like another little beastie delegation has decided to descend on Sunnydale,” she quipped as she did backflips towards the Tengas. They flapped their wings and went out the door, luring the Slayer out into the open air.

With this slim opportunity, the group of strangers threw out Willie and pulled out their Power Morphers. They held them out in front of them.

“ Pterodactyl!” Kimberly shouted, turning into the pink Mighty Morphin Ranger.

“ Triceratops!” Billy called out, becoming the blue Mighty Morphin Ranger.

“ Mastodon!” intoned Adam, his black Mighty Morphin Ranger suit forming around him.

“ Tyrannosaurus!” Jason shouted, letting the red Mighty Morphin suit form around him.

“ White Tiger!” called Tommy, his white Mighty Morphin suit being the last on appear.

They withdrew their Blade Blasters and hurried into the street. The blonde-haired girl –who’d said her name was Buffy – was bravely fending off two Tengas who were intent on carrying her away.

Tommy – not having a Blade Blaster – took out Saba. “ Hey, Tenga dorks! I’d like you guys to party with Saba,” he said as he launched the talking sword at the Tengas attacking Buffy. They were blown apart by the impact, allowing Buffy to clamber to her feet and join them.

“ I don’t know how Power Rangers suddenly became real, but I think I’ll leave these guys to you. I’ve got some vampires to find,” she huffed as she bolted away.

The Rangers made short work of the offending aliens, and hurried into the alley to demorph and teleport back to their hotel. They arrived to find the young lady at the front desk dead on the floor, and the guy helping her slumped against his chair, barely alive.

After taking care of the bodies, the Rangers finally retired for the night, despite the fact that it was only eleven o’clock.

I was a little disturbed as I took off my shoes and massaged my cramped feet. I’d already discarded the sweater on the nearby desk chair.

Carlos stared hungrily at me as he sat on the bed and massaged my
shoulders. “ My senorita. You were magnificent. I didn’t think you would do such a thing, after your initial reaction to me and my comrades,” he murmured as he moved his kneading hands to my back.

I leaned forward, laying down flat on the bed, bone-tired from exertion. “ I had to do it. Her and those guy friends of hers really were getting on my nerves. They won’t go out with me, yet they want me to stay away from guys who will,” I replied.

When he turned me over to face him, and lifted my neck to his vamped out face, I didn’t resist. It hurt slightly less as he his fangs pierced my flesh and the blood flowed from the wounds.

He drew back after only ten seconds. Then he took his hand and drew a few drops of blood, which he dripped onto my tongue. “ This little tie will link us forever. As a mortal and her vampire master,” he whispered in my ear as he closed the wounds.

I sat still as he resituated me to lie against the pillows. I didn’t protest as he undid the dress and stripped it off my body, replacing it with a yellow fluffy robe.

“ You must rest, senorita. Today was tiring for a mortal like yourself,” he said. I promptly fell into a deep, deep sleep.

It reads well, Kali, but I'm honestly not much of a Buffy fan. The only Buffy character I liked, Oz the Australian werewolf, left the show mid-season, and never returned, leaving his fate unwritten.

Keep posting, however, for I am sure others are enjoying it.

Sunnydale High; the next day

Buffy stomped through the front doors and nearly collided with the queen of fashion, Cordelia Chase. “ Hello, watch where you’re going,” Cordelia said as Buffy pointedly ignored her and walked past her.

She entered the library to find Xander and Willow already seated at their table. And the people who’d rescued her at Willie’s bar were with them. She plopped down next to the guy in black as he stared up at her.

“ Why are you guys at my school? Shouldn’t you be out rescuing other people right now?” she asked in a huff.

Willow – who was on the other side of the guy in black – spoke up. “ These guys came to town, Buffy, looking for someone. They found you went to school here. They think I might be able to help them find the person they’re looking for,” she added with a half-smile.

Giles promptly appeared by the table. “ I really don’t know if that’s a good idea, Willow. Magic isn’t something you mess around with lightly,” he said.
Xander decided to put his two cents in. He stared at the girl in pink beside him.

“ When the G-man speaks, it’s not always what you wanna hear,” he said in a silly kinda voice.

“ Don’t call me the G-man, Xander,” Giles said as he walked off. Tommy spoke up and introduced the group to her.

“ We really need your friend’s help,” he said. Buffy shrugged her shoulders.

“ Not up to me. If she wants to, she can,” she said. Then she got up and went to chat with Giles about the vampire problem. Billy echoed his teammates words.

“ I’m pretty good with technology and stuff. I think Willow should work with the team together, no outside interference,” he added with a pointed look at Xander.

“ Okay. A guy knows when he’s not wanted. Catch ya’ later,” he said as he got up and left the library. Willow took her book of spells from her backpack and opened it to a page.

The Rangers watched as she closed her eyes and started an incantation in Latin. When she opened her eyes, they were a solid black. She turned her gaze to Tommy, who started in slight fear.

“ The one you seek is in this town, Tommy Oliver. The one you seek for the yellow Ranger is close. She is confused about what she wants, so be warned about too much trouble,” Willow said in a voice not quite her own.

“ We know she’s in town. Could you possibly tell us where?” the white Ranger asked, a little unnerved.

A booming laugh issued from Willow’s throat as she shook her head no. “ All I know, mortal, is that she is close. She is with an evil man, one you might have to kill. It will be a fun fight to watch if it comes to that,” the voice replied.

Lightning flashed across the sky outside, followed by thunder, and rain soon pelted the windows. Willow’s eyes closed and she slumped forward onto the table. Buffy came back up to the group.

“ This happens sometimes when she does a powerful spell,” she explained to the nervous Rangers as she woke Willow up. The two girls got their backpacks and headed back to class, leaving the Rangers behind to talk amongst themselves.

“ I don’t know about this,” an upset Kimberly proclaimed. A bolt of lightning struck somewhere close by, shaking the building. Kimberly’s nerves were on edge. Their communicators started beeping.

Ignoring Giles’ questioning glance, the five Rangers got up and stepped behind a bookcase on the upper level. When they were well-hidden, they teleported back to their hotel.

I woke up to the sound of some kind of screeching. I bolted from my bed and ran to the bedroom door. I cracked it a little and stared into the big room. What I saw was enough to make me stagger back in fear.

Six mutated-looking birds were coming down the ramp into the big room, and were making an awful lot of noise. I knew it was daylight now, because Carlos was asleep on his side of the bed.

Another glance into the big room showed me that there were tiny windows set high in the walls, and that sunlight was streaming through them.

It was enough to illuminate the room, and enough – I knew – to kill any vampire who stepped a foot into the room. There were a pair of framed swords hanging on the wall.

I broke the glass with my foot and took both out, surprised to find them quite light.

Then I threw the door open and walked into the big room. “ Hey! What the hell are you?” I shouted, getting the birds’ attention. They squawked and came towards me. I ducked and thrust a sword forward, catching a wing.

Cutting both swords in a scissors motion, I sheared off one of the bird’s wings. It squawked and screeched in pain, backing away from me. I took my sling off and crossed the swords in front of me.

“ Okay, now who wants to take a try?” I asked, glaring at the obviously alien beings. Two of them decided to make mischief elsewhere in the building while the other three advanced on me. I realized they were trying to box me in against the wall, and quickly remedied that by kicking one of them and somersaulting over its head.

In the same motion I thrust both swords forward and impaled the creature’s back. It squawked and exploded into a pile of feathers.

My victory was short-lived, however, as the two remaining birds attacking me grabbed both my arms. My swords were broken in two on the spot, leaving me weaponless. I kicked my feet up as the alien birds tried to yank my arms behind my back.

My right arm was still sore, but since it was in the cast where it was broken, they didn’t really hurt it any worse. I used my feet’s momentum to do an impromptu split, using the alien’s grips on my arms to bring their heads smashing together.

They let go of me as they grabbed their bent beaks and squawked. I dashed after the other two alien birds, only to find that they were fighting with two different vampires. The minute the vampires were forced into the sunlight, they burnt up and turned into a pile of dust.

At this unexpected event, the alien birds gathered together – there were only four left – and left back up the ramp. I dashed after them, chasing them all the way outside onto the sidewalk. They lifted into the sky and disappeared over the neighboring buildings.

Satisfied that they were gone, I went back down to the bedroom I shared with Carlos. He was watching from the doorway, his face completely vamped out.

I had no time to react as he grabbed my arm and yanked me inside the room, slamming the door behind him. “ Aaron and Wendy are dead!” he hissed. I was a little afraid.

“ I’m sorry, Carlos. I killed two of the six and wounded another, but they nearly killed me,” I protested, shrinking back when he punched his fist through the wall by my head.

He jerked me forward and drove his fangs into my neck.

I tried to scream but he clamped a hand over my mouth. He drank maybe a pint before shoving me away, his face reverting to normal. “ I will get retribution,” he said. I waited for him to go back to sleep before I crept out of the bedroom and got onto his motorcycle.

I revved it right up, going up the ramp, through the dingy garage, and into the bright sunshine. I didn’t know where in the world I was. All I did know was that I had to get away for a while.

I drove until I came to a rather nice looking neighborhood; at least it was better than the one I’d just left. I parked the bike in front of a house with two different cars parked in the driveway.

Casually straightening my shirt – I’d changed after Carlos had pulled away from me – I went up the driveway to the front door. When I rang the doorbell, I heard the chimes echo through the house.

My mouth dropped open when Willow opened the door. She was just as shocked to see me standing there in my yellow off-the-shoulder blouse and yellow shorts. Buffy appeared beside her, startling me more.

I was ready to faint when the group I’d glimpsed in Willie’s bar came up in the hall behind the two girls. Buffy yanked me inside, taking me to the living room. I loudly protested the whole way.

The only thing that stopped me from bolting was the power I sensed coming from the five strangers. Willow sat beside me on the couch. “ What are you doing here? I thought you were dead,” she said.

The leader of the strangers approached me, pulling my scarf away from my neck.

Buffy glanced over and saw the puncture wounds in my throat. I glared right back at the whole lot of them.

“ I got woken up from a very good sleep by these mutated alien birds. I killed two, and cut off another of the creature’s wings. They killed two vampires in the process, and would’ve killed me if I hadn’t chased them away. Carlos got mad and fed on me a little,” I explained with a huff.

“ Great. Two less blood suckers for me to kill,” Buffy quipped, earning her an angry glare from me.

The leader of the strangers sat on my other side. He introduced himself as Tommy.

“ What did these birds look like?” he wanted to know.

When I finished describing them – right down to their annoying squawking – he nodded his head. “ Those aliens are called Tengas. Your friend Buffy was rescued by us from them,” he replied.

“ She’s not my friend,” I groaned.

“ Yes she is. So am I. We all are,” Willow said, trying to convince me. She opened her mouth to say more when a burning bottle filled with gas came flying through the window behind my head.

I reacted as quickly as I could, grabbing the bottle from the floor and rushing it outside. I doused the flames with a water hose next to the house, then straightened up to find another of the alien birds facing me.

It sent me flying backwards into the arms of Tommy, who’d come up behind me in the hallway. “ Let go of me,” I protested as I struggled out of his arms to stand back on my feet.

Tommy was staring at the Tengas with a strange calm.

His friends – who I now knew were called Kimberly, Billy, Jason, and Adam – joined him in a protective circle in front of the doorway. Willow and Buffy tried to drag me back to the safety of the house, but I shrugged them off.

“ Uh uh. I’m gonna get these guys for hurting me earlier,” I retorted. There was a shovel leaning up by the hose, so I grabbed it and stood behind Tommy and his friends. Before I knew what was happening, they disappeared.

Not many seconds later, five Power Rangers appeared directly behind the twelve Tengas. “ Looks like we were late to the party,” the white Ranger quipped, withdrawing a rather wicked-looking weapon from a holster on his hip.

Not bothering to wait for the Power Rangers to do anything, I started swinging with my shovel. I brained two Tengas and smashed one of their beaks like an accordion before the shovel broke off the handle.

“ Shit. Later days,” I called out as I bolted for Carlos’ bike and hopped on. I revved it up and screeched out of there as fast as I could.

Buffy swore as she watched Bianca leave.

“ Damn! If those aliens hadn’t shown up yet again, I might’ve actually convinced her to let me tail her back to the vamp’s hideout,” she muttered, staring out the broken window as the five Rangers battled the Tengas.

Willow was busy chanting a protection spell. As she finished, the Tengas were instantly forced off her property.

“ I included your place in the spell. These things won’t be able to come on our properties anymore,” she explained to Buffy as the five Rangers stared after the retreating Tengas.

Buffy watched as the Rangers demorphed, revealing Tommy and his friends.
They waved to Buffy and Willow through the now-fixed window, then teleported away.

Meanwhile, Adam was silently fuming as he sat on a couch at the Bronze. It wasn’t crowded yet, so he and his friends had enough time to really talk.

“ I can’t believe the girl got away. I thought those two girls had her convinced to lead them to the vampire’s hideout so the Slayer could get rid of them. Then, when that Willow girl made the Tengas leave her property, I was really amazed,” he said as he stared across the coffee table at Jason and Kimberly, who were on another couch together.

“ I thought we had a chance to save the woman. But she left for some reason. I know she knows our Ranger identities,” Billy admitted.

“ That information cannot get out,” Tommy stated.

“ I have an idea she won’t tell the vampire guy she’s living with. Call it women’s intuition or whatever, but I just know,” Kimberly piped up.

* * * *

Instead of going back to Carlos’ hideout – and partly because I didn’t know which direction to head in – I kept going until I reached the Bronze.

Leaving the bike in the place I’d seen Carlos park it, and slowly straightening my shirt again, I waltzed inside.

I had a small purse with me, and about three hundred dollars that Carlos had given me. I paid for a rum pina colada and sat at a table by myself. I sat there nursing my drink – and several refills – for an hour.

By the time I rechecked my watch, it was seven o’clock, and the sun was going down.

I was about to stand up and leave when someone barred my way. I glanced up to find myself face-to-face with Adam, the guy in black from Willow’s house.

My gaze wandered to his somewhat handsome features.

“ I would kindly ask that you move out of my way, Adam. If I don’t get back to Carlos’ home soon, he might hurt me for leaving the place,” I said as I tried to move past him.

The place was starting to come alive around me as high school students started pouring in. I ignored them as Adam forced me to sit back down.

“ I don’t want to hurt you, Bianca. I just want to talk to you,” Adam said to me in a gentle voice. I couldn’t keep my shoulders from sagging.

“ I’m sorry, Adam. I just don’t think it’s safe,” I replied. My response proved true when Carlos himself came striding up to our table.

My face went white with fear as I saw the mean look in his evil eyes.

“ Carlos, I’m sorry for leaving,” I said as I moved to stand up. He lashed out and struck me across my face, leaving me stunned in my chair.

“ Foolish mortal. You will pay dearly for trying to escape,” he stated. Adam stood up between us.

“ Leave her alone, vampire,” he said. Carlos glared at him.

“ I will do as I damn well please, mortal,” he hissed.

His clenched fist knocked Adam against the wall. Carlos yanked me to my feet, ignoring my pleading cries.

“ You will regret trying to escape. I will have you pleading for your life by the time the night is up,” he hissed at me as he pulled me towards the door.

Tommy and the rest of his friends – including a rather mad and recovered Adam – barred our way.

“ We will not allow you to harm this woman,” Tommy said. Spike, Angel, Buffy, and Willow entered the Bronze behind them, coming to stand with them.

Carlos’ grip on me tightened, and I knew trouble was coming. That trouble arrived in the forms of Tasha, Miguel, Star, and the rest of Carlos’ coven.

“ Please, don’t harm them,” I pleaded with Carlos.

He just dragged me out the door and towards his bike.

Buffy and the rest of her friends surrounded us and Carlos’ coven. “ Great. More vamps to dust,” Buffy quipped, pulling out her ever-present stake.

Carlos vamped out and pulled my head to one side, exposing my bared neck to his fangs.

“ Leave us alone or she dies right here,” he hissed at the Slayer.

A stake through the heart of the nearest vampire was Buffy’s answer. I screamed as Carlos’ fangs tore into my neck, beginning to drain my body of its blood.

I felt my body sinking into oblivion just as Carlos was forced to step away.

I was still barely conscious as it was, barely even feeling the concrete as my body fell to the ground.

I did feel strong hands as they picked up my body and laid me on something soft.

“ Bloody hell. The bugger nearly killed her. She’s lost an awful lot of blood,” I heard Spike say.

I heard a jumble of other voices, then felt my body being lifted into some kind of vehicle.

A while later, I felt the vehicle stop, then felt my body again being moved.

“ Just take her inside. I’ll be along soon as I get some spare blood from the fridge to help bring her back,” Angel’s voice said.

More moving my body around as I was resettled on something soft again.

Footsteps coming and going told me that someone was also moving around some kind of room. All sounds started to fade away.

My body felt as light as air. I saw myself in a white gown, walking along a road of clouds. I was nearing a pair of gates.

My dead mother was waiting on the other side. Just before I went through the gates, they closed in my face.

“ It’s not your time, my wayward daughter. You must live your life before you join me and your father here,” my mother said from the other side of the gates.

“ I’m tired, mother. I don’t want to stay with the vampire, but I’m tired of living,” I unhappily protested.

“ Don’t worry, my daughter. You have many, many things to live for. You must go back now. Your new friends are waiting on you,” my mother’s voice said.

I reached out a hand as everything started to fade again.

Buffy was setting up a makeshift IV tube to allow the bag of blood to enter Bianca’s veins.

Even Spike looked on in sorrow. “ Looks like the doll doesn’t want to come back,” he muttered aloud.

Adam leapt up from his seat on the floor and knocked Spike off his chair.

“ How can you say that? I ought to dust you myself,” he threatened Spike.

Tommy restrained him and tried to calm him down.

“ Only a strong and willful spirit can come back from such a thing, Adam. Keep your cool. Zordon always taught us that death was a part of life,” he told his fellow Ranger as they sat back in their former spots around Bianca’s body.

The bag of blood emptied, causing Buffy to hook the fifth and final bag to the IV.

“ She only had two pints left in her. If this doesn’t bring her back, I’m afraid she’ll die,” she simply said.

Willow’s face was sad as she held Bianca’s left limp hand – they’d taken it out of the cast, as it had completely healed.

“ I hope my prayers to her mother’s spirit worked,” she said.

Kimberly’s shout stopped all talking. “ I’ve got a steady pulse again. She’s alive,” she announced. Even Angel himself let out a sigh of relief.

“ Good. Despite her initial impressions on me, I still found her to be rather charming,” he said.

* * * *

I felt my body waking up again. Pain throbbed through my neck, but it was bearable.

My eyes fluttered open as I felt someone caress my cheek.

“ Come on, doll. Don’t let that bugger keep you away from all your friends,” Spike said.

“ I – didn’t want – to come back. My – mother – made me,” I rasped out. Willow shushed me.

“ Don’t talk just yet. It’ll be better soon. I promise,” she said in a calm voice.

My eyes clouded over with tears.

“ I’m sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused,” I rasped, apologizing to everyone in the room.

I heard something crash through a window nearby, making me cringe in fear.

Tommy and his group got to their feet, along with Angel, Spike and Buffy.

“ We’ll check it out. Stay here with Bianca,” Buffy told Willow, handing her a crossbow and several bolts. I watched as they shuffled away, spreading out to investigate the source of the noise.

My eyes opened wide in terror when I saw Carlos, Tasha, Star, Miguel, and six other people materialize near me.

Willow loaded the crossbow as fast as she could, but was too late.

Carlos closed the space between us and snapped the crossbow in half, tossing the fragments across the room. He back-handed Willow across her face, knocking her out cold.

“ Take her. I’ve got my senorita,” he hissed.

Star and Miguel came forward and grabbed the unconscious Willow, tying and binding her feet and hands together behind her.

Carlos unhooked the IV in my arm, covering it with a cloth that he tied around the small spot.

Then he picked me up and whisked me away.

I closed my eyes and felt the night air on my face. We were traveling on foot through the town.

I cringed when we got back to his hideout.

He carried me inside the bedroom and put me on the bed, instructing Star and Tasha to put Willow beside me.

She was tied to the headboard to prevent her escape, but they left me untied because I was still so weak.

Carlos leaned over me, a sneer on his face.

“ Those fools. They dusted three of the males and three of the female coven members, but they failed to protect you,” he hissed.

I managed to gather enough saliva in my mouth to spit in his face. “ You evil monster. You heartless beast,” I rasped.

He wiped the spit from his cheek and smiled.

“ You shouldn’t talk like that, senorita. You’ll be joining my ranks tomorrow night. The mortal beside you may as well, if the coven votes for it,” he replied, finally leaving the room. I used my strength to turn over and stare at Willow.

A bruise was forming on her cheek. I painstakingly eased myself up on the pillows.

“ Come on. Wake up,” I whispered, trying to get her to regain consciousness. Her eyes flew open. She tried to get up, then realized she was kept in place by the bonds on her hands and feet.

“ They took us back to their hideout. Carlos told me that they’re going to make me one of them tomorrow night,” I rasped, tears sliding down my cheeks.

As much as Willow obviously loathed Carlos, she still tried to calm me down.

“ Shh. We’ll get out of this, just you wait. Buffy and the others will rescue us. They won’t let Carlos turn us,” she said with a calming reassurance.

I lifted my arm and dried my tears, though I still felt slightly pained throughout my body.

“ Thanks. I’m sorry I got you in this mess. But if I have to, I’ll sacrifice my life for yours,” I whispered in her ear as Carlos came back into the room, followed by Tasha.

“ I’ve instructed Tasha to give you a bath, to help ready you for your transformation tomorrow night,” he hissed.

I tried to shove her away, but she just picked me up and took all my clothes away, including my bra and panties.

I glared with nothing but pure hatred at Carlos as Tasha easily carried me into the bathroom and set me in the tub.

She scrubbed me thoroughly all over, not even bothering to speak to me.

When the bath was over, she dressed me in my under garments, then allowed Carlos to finish dressing me in pair of black jeans and a yellow spaghetti-strapped shirt.

He laid me back down beside Willow; the both of us were glaring hatefully at him.

Willow said something in Latin, causing Carlos to vamp out and advance to her side of the bed.

He would’ve drained her on the spot if I hadn’t thrown my weakened body across Willow’s.

He snarled and ordered Tasha to put me back in my original position. She did as he ordered, then they both left again.

Back at Angel’s mansion, Buffy and the others came back to the living room to find Willow and Bianca gone. She fumed aloud.

“ Damn! It was just a diversion!” she shouted. Angel tried to get her to stand still, but she roughly shoved him away.

“ There’s no way this vampire is going to live to see more than one more night. He’s as good as dead,” she said after she found the crossbow fragments and the broken bolts.

“ Maybe the doll will get away and dust the bugger herself,” Spike said. Adam was trying to keep his anger under control.

“ This is the last time I will allow her to be kidnapped,” he said when Tommy spoke to him.

The Rangers’ communicators started beeping. “ Tommy here,” Tommy said, ignoring the questioning glances of the Slayer and her two vampire friends.

“ Tommy, the new yellow Ranger is in imminent danger. The evil I’ve sensed is about to convert her. You must rescue her tomorrow night, before this happens,” Zordon’s voice said.

“ Who is the yellow Ranger?” Tommy asked the old sage over his communicator.

I'm not a buffy fan which is why when I opened this thread originally and caught no sight on an original Ranger I high-tailed it. I came back, not that I'd decided to dedicate myself to reading it, but that i might give it just one more try in hopes of finding a glimpse of an original Ranger. Though I found none initially, I did find a surprisingly great writing ability that was able to make material I didn't have much interest in actually seem interesting. I'm glad i stuck it out long enough to find the Original Ranger's involvement, and will be even more glad when there's more of this story for me to read. Can't wait. The stories all aces so far.

“ The girl who was nearly killed tonight by that vampire. Bianca Daniels,” the old sage said before discontinuing the communication.

Zordon’s announcement stunned all the Rangers.

“ It makes sense now. The fact that she loves the color yellow and wears it all the time. The fact that she faced the Tengas not once but twice and lived to tell about it, even though she’s not a Ranger."

" We’ve got to get to her,” Adam said, his eyes sparking with renewed determination.

A chilly breeze wafted through the room, bringing with it a single phrase.

Spike smiled to himself. “ Willow’s a smart doll. She just sent us the answer as to where the old vamp’s hiding her and Bianca,” Spike said.

“ We can’t do anything about her now, since the sun’s not long in coming up. You and I would be no use to these people or anyone else either. We’ll have to wait till the sun sets tomorrow night,” Angel said.

The Rangers agreed to stay at the mansion for that day, so they’d be there when they led the attack on the vampire forces the next night.

Everyone slept rather well, and woke up an hour before sundown. Buffy began readying her duffel bag of swords, stakes, and crossbows.

The Rangers went through some practice exercises.

They knew Buffy knew their Ranger secrets, but they didn’t want to reveal them to Spike or Angel.

* * * *

I woke up ten minutes before the sun was supposed to go down. Willow was already awake.

My body felt a whole lot better, so I got up and did a little stretching to limber up my muscles.

“ I hope they got my message,” Willow said as I stretched my arms above my head.

“ I’m sure they did,” I replied, looking for a possible weapon I might use against the vampires.

They’d removed all movable items, leaving me weaponless. Before I had a chance to try breaking a leg on one of the armchairs, Carlos entered the room.

He motioned for Star and Tasha to untie Willow; they did and dragged her into the other room.

The six remaining vampires – other than Carlos, Star, Tasha, and Miguel – were gathered there.

Carlos grabbed my arm and forcefully led me to stand beside Willow.

“ Tonight, we convert my senorita to help replace the many we’ve lost,” he announced, getting cheers from the remaining coven members. He vamped out and stared at me.

“ Come here,” he whispered.

There were only two feet between us, and I didn’t want to get any closer.

He gave me no choice when he yanked me forward towards him. I cringed when he touched me, brushing my long black hair away from my neck.

Before he could drain me, the door above the ramp opened.

As one we all glanced up. Buffy stood at the head of the group, a crossbow in her hand.

She dusted Tasha and Miguel, who were holding Willow.

Willow managed to get to the safety of Angel’s and Spike’s arms as Buffy led Tommy and his friends down the ramp.

Before they could move another step beyond the ramp, a group of more than two dozen Tengas suddenly appeared.

Tommy and his group suddenly disappeared; in their places stood the five Power Rangers I’d seen at Willow’s house.

Carlos was furious as Adam – the black Ranger – leapt over the heads of the Tengas and vampires to land beside us.

He withdrew some kind of weapon from his hip holster and fired it at Carlos, sending him to the floor.

I was feeling a little dizzy as the black Ranger came towards me and hugged me.

When he stood back, a strange yellow glow was surrounding my wrists.

He pulled out something like the watch thingy he and the other Rangers wore to communicate with each other.

He strapped it to my left wrist.

Then he pulled out something else and handed it to me.

“ It’s a Power Coin. Just call out ‘ Saber Tooth Tiger,’” he said as he turned to start fighting the Tengas.

Carlos and Star advanced on me, both of them vamped out and angry.

I felt a strange surge of power going through my body. I held the Power Coin in front of me and shouted: “ Saber Tooth Tiger!”

A yellow spark of energy surrounded my entire body.

When I looked down, I saw that I had morphed into a Power Ranger – the yellow one to be exact. Power was surging through my body.

I glanced back up and glared at Carlos and Star through my visor.

They had both halted in their tracks when they saw what had happened to me.

I crouched down like a tiger and took up a fighting stance.

“ Bring it on. Why don’t we just kiss and make up?” I quipped, smiling under my helmet. He snarled in fury.

“ It is going to be a painful death for you,” he hissed, his eyes gleaming with evil. He leapt forward with a flurry of punches and kicks.

I leapt out of the way of most of them; however, he landed a rather solid one to my stomach that sent me flying backwards against the nearby wall.

I got to my feet and pulled out my own Blade Blaster, leveling it at Star’s head.

I fired it twice, sending her to the floor.

I ducked Carlos’ attacks this time, grabbing a stake that Buffy had tossed to me.

I did backflips until I was standing beside Star. With one fluid motion, I’d dusted her.

I tossed the stake away and sheathed my Blaster.

And was immediately sent flying by a kick to my head from Carlos. I fell to the floor and he knelt over me.

He raked his long, razor-sharp nails over my suit, causing a few sparks to fly and pain to ripple through my chest.

He kicked me in the stomach, then bolted for his motorcycle.

I tried to get up and stop him, but he got away.

I turned to help fight the Tengas, discovering that half of them – along with the remaining six members of Carlos’ coven – had escaped up the ramp.

I chased after them, running into the dark street.

Adam followed, along with the other four Rangers. “ They’re going to the Bronze. We’ve got to stop them,” I told my now fellow Rangers.

They agreed and called for their Shark Cycles.

I was happy when my own bike appeared beside Adam’s. I climbed on and called out: “ Activating Power Beams.”

The tiger eyes on my helmet shot forth powerful beams of light. I led the charge as we drove toward the Bronze.

I activated the bike’s hyper-speed, which got us to the popular club within a mere minute.

I could hear terrified screams from inside. I saw the familiar bikes from Carlos’ hideout parked directly in front of the door, so I hopped off my Shark Cycle.

I tried opening the door, but something was blocking it from the inside.

I backed up and gave the door three swift kicks.

Whatever was blocking it gave away, allowing me and the other Rangers entrance inside. I glanced around, my helmet’s Power Beams lighting up the dim interior.

At least six dead bodies were scattered across the dance floor. I watched as Carlos drained another woman, his fangs and shirt gleaming with blood.

My Beams made his eyes flow an unearthly demonic shade of yellow.

He tossed the woman’s dead body aside.

“ Go, take care of the others. I’ll handle him,” I told my comrades as I went towards Carlos.

I withdrew my Blade Blaster and aimed it him.

He ducked all three blasts, knocking my sidearm away from me.

There were plenty of broken table legs around me, so I grabbed one and wielded it before me as a makeshift stake.

“ Vampire. Demon. You will die tonight,” I said. He snarled and lunged at me.

I dodged his nails and rammed the stake into his chest.

He let out another snarl as he turned into dust. I tossed my stake away and glanced around for my friends.

They had also dusted their vampires, and were standing together staring at me.

Adam – in his black Ranger suit – approached me.

“ You did the right thing. You helped save us and yourself,” he added.

I just stared at him through my visor. Behind me, Buffy, Willow, Spike, and Angel came bursting through the door.

I smiled and turned off my Power Beams, going up to Willow.

She seemed a little surprised and scared to actually be seeing Power Rangers.

“ Wow. Power Rangers. That’s – um – not what I expected to see. Actually, I expected to see this girl I just met, but now I’m seeing the six of you instead,” she stuttered.

Spike walked in a circle around me, not knowing who I was because of the suit.

He couldn’t see me smiling under my helmet. “ Bloody hell. I’ll be a son of a bitch. Another one o’ them Rangers. And this one’s suit emphasized one tight butt,” he added with a smiled.

I hauled my fist back and socked him in the jaw; though I held back to keep from really hurting him, it was enough to knock him backward into Angel.

Angel laughed at Spike’s stunned expression.

“ Don’t ever say I have a tight butt again, Spike. You might get hit harder, and not just in your chin,” I told him. Buffy snickered.

“ Have we met before? Your voice sounds awful familiar,” Willow said.

Then I saw realization dawn on her face. “ Bianca? Is that you?” she said, stunning her friends.

I smiled underneath my helmet.

“ Power Down,” I said, instantly demorphing.

The look on Spike’s face made me grin like a Cheshire cat.

“ Yep, it’s me. In the flesh,” I said. Willow threw her arms around me.

“ I sensed something different about you. When I saw that yellow Ranger suddenly appear where you were standing at that hideout, I knew something strange was going on. And now you’re a Power Ranger,” Willow said.

Behind me, I felt the other Rangers demorphing and stepping closer to me.

“ Yes, I am a Ranger. And now I must go,” I added as Adam stepped up to put his arm around my shoulders.

Buffy and her friends took turns shaking hands with me.

Spike was last, and held my hand longer than necessary.

“ Bloody hell, you sure pack one hell of a punch for a little Ranger girl,” he muttered.

This time, Buffy threatened to knock his lights out if he didn’t shut up.

I laughed at this brassy Slayer’s attitude.

“ You guys helped the Rangers rescue me when they had Willow and me tonight. Without that, I probably would be a vampire or dead, instead of being a Ranger myself. I can’t thank you enough for that,” I said.

Tommy cleared his throat.

“ I think it’s time we leave. The Slayer’s got some work to do here, and we need to get back to our Headquarters,” he said.

I nodded my head, knowing I had to leave some newfound friends behind.

“ See ya’ around,” I told them as I left the club with the other Rangers.

We morphed again and got on our Shark Cycles, just as a portal opened down the road.

Adam held my hand before we revved up our bikes and headed for the portal.

It felt a little weird as we went through the portal; it deposited us in the middle of some kind of room that was filled with all kinds of machines.

A crystalline, cylindrical tube sat in the middle of the floor.

A giant face suddenly appeared in the middle of it, slightly startling me.

“ The new yellow Ranger. Bianca Daniels, have you truly accepted your responsibility as Power Ranger and a protector of the Earth?” the face asked me.

I knew this was Zordon, the Ranger’s leader.

“ Yes, Zordon. I accept the responsibilities. I am proud now to be a Power Ranger,” I replied.

The other Rangers cheered as Zordon’s face smiled down on us.
