Alright I bought this DVD boxset today, and so far I like it. It contains 6 DVDs, and 22 episodes. Well the pilot was 2 hours, so its more like 23 episodes. The one thing I dont like is the packaging of it: The 6 discs are in a foam block, not very durable.

Anyone else get this yet?

As long as it's available int eh US I might get it. I loved Sliders.

Tried building a Prop timer out of an old Motorloa DPC 650. Didn't go so well.

Bought it the very first day but I'm a DIE HARD fan of the show. It actually reached 18 on amazon's best selling dvds list the day after its release. I actually got it at circuit city for 60 dollars.

Some things to watch out for. The episodes are in FOX order. So in other words There's a cliffhanger episode that airs after it's concluding ep on the dvd. Also the "sliders" bit of the opening credits is cut off in "The Weaker Sex."

Other than that no real problems I saw although I REALLY wanted to see the famous deleted scene from Summer of Love that explains the sliding process. But the extras we did get are awesome, the commentary and featurette rock big time.

I have all but 2 season 2 episodes on VHS, I'll save the $60 I don't have. :D

I love Sc-Fi.

I tried to watch Sliders once, on Sci-fi. I was confused. Anyone can tell me what Sliders was uh, about?

It was about a group of people who slid to different parellel worlds. Where it's the same year, and we're the same people, only everything else is different.

The first half of the show is about how the try to get home. The second half is mostly about a conflict with a species called the Kromaggs who conquered their "home"

Was that 60 American? Because I got mine for 80 Canadian, which is like 45 American.

actually, the reviewer at tvshowsondvd.com (http://tvshowsondvd.com) said that the foam was very durable and try as hard as he might he couldent scratch the discs from the foam.

Well my foam seems to be dented in some places, making the disc placement hard to put back in. Plus, the foam doesnt really look very good. I would have preferred the small cases, ala Family Guy and Futurama.

I really enjoyed Sliders for the first few seasons. When the cast members started changing is when I lost intrest.
My friend's sister picked up the set, and I'll probably borrow it from her to watch it.

I think seasons 1, 2 and 4 are great. Seasons 3 and 5 really really suck.

Um...no. 80 Canadian is currently worth 60.68 American.

I'll have to wait until I get paid in about two weeks before I buy it. It's a great series and a series that I wouldn't mind buying on DVD either...

Meh, whatever. The last time I converted money was 2 years ago for WWE Vengence, I guess the rate has changed since then. :023:

I sort of understand what you mean. I would probably put 3 above 4, but when the Kromaggs first starting playing a large role, it was actually somewhat interesting. Unfortunately, the premise went thin pretty fast, and the show became way too dark.
