Episode 4
"A Chill In The Air"

Setting: Terra Venture
The repair work is well underway. The majority of the damage done by the Lion Ranger has been repaired, with just the Comet Café and a storage warehouse still to be done while Kendrix, Leo and Kai are seated on a bench, watching the repair crew at work.
Kendrix: Any news on Maya?
Kai: Her condition is still the same. She’s still in a coma.
Kendrix: That means we’re a Ranger down.
Leo: We don’t need anymore Rangers. Lion Ranger has been destroyed.
Kendrix: I hope you’re right.
Leo: So do I.
Setting: Terra Venture Hospital
The mysterious battered person lays motionless on the bed, hooked up to the ECG monitors. His battered uniform has been removed and he’s now wearing a hospital gown. His eyes flicker open, but he remains motionless.
Setting: Leo’s quarters
Leo is lying on the couch while Kai and Damon are seated at the breakfast bar.
Kai: So Leo, when are you and Kendrix getting married?
Damon: Yeah, you two would make a lovely couple.
Leo playfully throws a pillow at Kai, who throws it back.
Leo: We’re friends, nothing more... yet.
Kai (smiling): I knew it, you DO love her...
Leo: Well, can you blame me? Just look at her: she’s blonde, beautiful and got brains up the ying-yang.
Damon: So make your move on her tonight...
Leo: Yeah... I might.....
Setting: Terra Venture Hospital
The mysterious battered person slowly sits up in bed, looking around him. He pulls the ECG monitors off him and gets off the bed. He checks his wrists.
Mysterious person: So, they took my morphers and my uniform. Hmmm...
He walks to a closet and tries to open it, but it’s locked. Angry, he punches the lock which shatters. He opens the closet and pulls out his uniform. He looks at it, then walks to a window and glances into the corridor, there is a guard outside his door.
Mysterious person: Ok, not a problem...
The mysterious person grabs a dressing gown cord, then quietly opens the door, he quickly wraps the cord around the guard’s neck and drags him inside.
Mysterious person: Take a nap...
He punches the guard in the head, knocking him out. He then proceeds to removes the guard’s uniform.
Setting: Outside Terra Venture Hospital
The mysterious person, now wearing the guard’s uniform and armour, leaves the hospital.
Mysterious person: Now to find and retrieve my Morphers.
He reaches into his pocket and brings out a small, rectangular device with a flashing red light on the end. He holds it in front of him and the flashing red light stops flashing and turns solid red. He looks up and in the distance, he sees Central Command.
Mysterious person: Hmm, this way... but why take them to Central Command?
He puts the device away and heads off towards Central Command. As he heads away, he passes right by Kai, who doesn’t notice him.
Setting: Central Command - Science Lab
The Red Lion Ranger Morphers have been attached to two energy conductors. Scientists are seated at various consoles, monitoring the results of the test. The chief scientist, Dr Rayga, studies a computer print-out.
Dr Rayga: The information contained within the Morphers is incredible. It’s like nothing I've ever seen.
He picks up another section of print-out and reads it.
Dr Rayga: If these tests prove to be correct, it would seem that these Morphers are from the...
Suddenly, an explosion smashes a huge hole in the testing lab. Several scientists are knocked down, but no-one is killed. The mysterious person walks through the hole in the wall, grabs the Morphers and straps them to his wrists.
Mysterious person: I’ll be taking back what RIGHTFULLY belongs to me.
He fires the pulse rifle a few times, covering his retreat back through the hole in the wall.
Setting: Central Command
Alarms blare out as news of the attack on the Science Lab reaches Central Command.
Commander Stanton: Mr Corbett, dispatch medical and security forces to the Science Lab. Secure the surrounding area. I want those Morphers, and the thief found.
Mike: Yes sir.
Mike is handed a report by a female GSA officer. He reads it then hands it to Commander Stanton.
Mike: Sir, the trooper guarding the person found by the waterfall was just found. He’d been knocked out and his uniform stolen.
Commander Stanton: Try and find the Power Rangers. If this person activates those Morphers, we may need their help.
Mike: Yes sir, I’ll get right on it.
Mike gets up and grabs a full report of the incidents as he leaves Central Command.
Setting: Leo’s quarters
The door chime sounds and Kai walks to the door and opens it. Mike walks in and holds up the report.
Mike: We’ve got a problem. Someone KO’d a trooper and then wrecked the Science Lab and stole two Morphers...
Kai: Two Morphers... Mike, were they red?
Mike: Yeah, how did you know?
Kai: Someone was found, near Cascade Falls yesterday. He was wearing two red Morphers.
Leo: My god, the LION RANGER survived...
Damon: He couldn’t have survived... could he?
Mike: It looks like he did. Commander Stanton wants the Power Rangers’ help.
Damon: I think we can accommodate that request.
Setting: Maya’s village
The mysterious person has shed the GSA trooper armour and is once again in his dark Time Force uniform. He walks into the village and looks around. There are a few people about. A Mirinoite couple hold hands as they walk past the mysterious person.
Mysterious person: Gee, not much has changed here in three thousand years.
He gets out the scanner device and studies the display. He frowns at the results then pockets the scanner.
Mysterious person: Hmm, it seems that they are not where I thought they were.
He presses a button on his left morpher and teleports away in a burst of fire red energy.
Setting: Terra Venture
An explosion rocks the center of the colony, sending three people crashing into a wall and destroying an information terminal.
ICELOUSE: Bow humans, bow before the might of ICELOUSE.
ICELOUSE is a huge monster with jagged dorsal fins. His feet are huge. 3 four long Talons stick out. The body is as wide as a coach. The two arms, as thick as redwood trunks. The serpentine neck, long and covered with scales. Icelouse's mouth is filled with huge, sharp teeth. Despite his appearance and his huge spiked tail that swishes about behind him, ICELOUSE is bipedal. ICELOUSE watches as the terrified citizens run.
ICELOUSE (laughing): That’s it, run, you know you can’t beat me. Maybe you can... NOT!
Icelouse is suddenly hit by a powerful beam of energy that knocks him off his feet and crashes him into the ground.
Icelouse: WHO DARES ATTACK ME? SHOW YOURSELF!
Two powerful jets of flame descend down from the clouds. The Lion Ranger descends down from the clouds and lands in front of Icelouse.
Lion Ranger: PLEASE say you’ll fight, as I’m in the mood to kick your frozen butt back to where it came from.
The Rangers come running up and stop when they see Lion Ranger squaring off against Icelouse.
Leo: What’s he doing?
Kendrix: I have no idea. It could be part of his plan to get back at us.
Icelouse: I’d like you to meet some friends of mine...
A snowstorm whips up around Icelouse. Several humanoid shapes take form. The snowstorm fades away, revealing several Ice Mites standing in front of Icelouse.
Icelouse: ATTACK!
The Ice Mites jump through the air and surround the Rangers.
Icelouse: They will take care of them, leaving you all to me...
Lion Ranger summons the Fire Sabre while Icelouse creates a sword out of ice. Lion Ranger charges at Icelouse. The two block each others’ sword attacks. Lion Ranger goes for an overhead swing but Icelouse blocks and follows through with a spinning elbow punch into the gut. Lion Ranger is knocked back a few feet but charges back to Icelouse then strikes him with a sword blow to the chest. Icelouse falls to the ground, but as Lion Ranger runs towards him, Icelouse does a spinning leg-sweep and continues the spinning motion as he quickly gets back up and strikes Lion Ranger with a sword strike to the chest, before Lion Ranger even falls to the ground, all in one smooth motion. Lion Ranger gets back up on one knee while Icelouse waits for another attack.
Lion Ranger: Lucky shot.
Lion Ranger tries for another swipe at Icelouse but once again it is blocked, but then Lion Ranger gives Icelouse a punch in the chest to knock him back, then follows it with a sword strike.
Lion Ranger: Ha-ha-ha.
Lion Ranger tries for one more attack, but this time not only does Icelouse block it, but swings his sword around to knock Lion Ranger's sword out of his hand. Then Icelouse gives Lion Ranger three powerful strikes in a zigzag formation. Finally Icelouse finishes the job with a huge roundhouse sword attack, taking out Lion Ranger.
Icelouse: A CHILL is coming...
Snow begins to fall all around them, and the Ice Mites dissolve into mist.
Leo: It's snowing.
Mike: Yeah, but it's mid-July.
Kai: Everyone, stay alert. This could be Lion Ranger’s doing
The wind starts to pick up and the snow comes down even thicker as if it were a blizzard. Everyone tries to shield themselves from the wind and snow, but it is too strong. Leo and the others are blown into the air and fall some distance from where they stood.
All: Ahh!
They all get up in a fighting stance to see Icelouse walking through the snowstorm.
Icelouse: What's the matter? Feeling a bit under the weather today?
Kendrix: Yeah, no thanks to you.
Leo: Alright, let's do it!
Icelouse: Not this time.
Icelouse blows a frozen mist from his mouth which surround Leo and the others.
Rangers: Go...
As they try to transform they realize that their Morphers are covered in ice, which prevents them transforming.
Leo: Huh?
Kendrix: Our Morphers are frozen over.
Kai: We can't change.
Damon: But we can still fight.
Leo looks over as Damon nods and they both run and jump into the air.
Kai: Wait!
They both go for a flying punch, but Icelouse blocks it as they fly over him and fall to the ground on their backs. Leo and Damon get back up.
Icelouse: This should leave you frozen in your tracks.
Icelouse shoots a blue ray from his hands which hit Leo and Damon. Suddenly they are frozen in huge blocks of ice.
Paige: Leo, Damon.
Kai: No.
The others run after them as Icelouse disappears in an icy mist. When they reach Damon and Leo they stand in disbelief.
Kendrix: Oh no. Damon, Leo.
Mike: They're not . . .
Kai: No, they’re just frozen.
Lion Ranger walks up to the frozen Rangers and taps the ice blocks.
Lion Ranger: Hmm, not a problem. I SHOULD be able to clear this up...
He aims the Fire Sabre at them, which releases two rings of fire. The rings hover over the frozen Rangers and slowly descend down, melting the ice as they go. When the ice has completely melted, the fire rings dissipate.
Leo: What happened?
Damon: Why am I so cold?
Lion Ranger turns and begins to walk away. Kendrix runs after him.
Kendrix: Where are you going?
Red Lion Ranger: To find five volunteers.
Kendrix: What for?
Lion Ranger: Considering the unpleasantness between us concerning my LAST appearance, I highly DOUBT that your friends will agree to help me.
Kendrix: Help you with WHAT?
Lion Ranger turns to face her, then he glances at the other Rangers. He taps several controls on his Morpher. The Rangers’ Trans-Morphers dissolve away as two Lion Activators appear, one on each wrist.
Lion Ranger: Those are your Lion Activators. They are much stronger than your old Galaxy powers.
Leo: We’re not helping you, after what you did to Maya.
Lion Ranger: You’d not believe me if I told you the reason why I did what I did. Now you have two choices: work WITH me or WATCH TERRA VENTURE FREEZE. CHOOSE! (To Mike) Sorry there aren’t any Activators for you, I never counted on finding an ex-Magna Defender.
Mike: It’s ok.
Kendrix: Will these Activators help us stop Icelouse?
Lion Ranger simply nods, and remains silent.
Kendrix: I say we give him a chance.
Lion Ranger: (to Kendrix) Welcome aboard.
Kai: If Kendrix will, then I’m game.
Damon: Hey, he un-froze me, so he’s ok in my book.
Lion Ranger: Well Leo, only you remain...
Before Leo can respond, Lion ranger’s morpher beeps. He looks at the small digital readout.
Lion Ranger: Answer NOW Leo. Icelouse has returned.
Leo: Very well, but I’m watching you.
Lion Ranger: Excellent, then follow me.
Setting: Industrial Complex
Icelouse and a band of Ice Mites are rampaging through the streets. Icelouse freezes a couple of cars on the side of the street and an entire side of the building.
Icelouse: Soon, the entire city will be my ice castle.
Lion Ranger and the four remaining ex-Galaxy Rangers run around the corner.
Icelouse: Back for more? Well, this time, I’ll FREEZE YOU FOREVER!
Lion Ranger (to the Rangers:) Like I told you, NOW!
Rangers: Lion Ranger Force, ACTIVATE!
Blue Lion Ranger morphing sequence:
A beam of blue light wraps around Leo as a blue lion’s head appeared behind him. It opens its mouth and swallows Leo, who is now covered in blue light. Inside the light, a blue grid was formed all over him. The blue light and blue grid exploded in a burst of energy. Where Leo once stood, now stands the Blue Lion Ranger.
Black Lion Ranger morphing sequence:
A black grid warps around Damon as a lion’s head appeared behind him. It opens its mouth and swallows Damon, who is now covered in black light. Inside the light, the grid closes in all over him. The black light and black grid exploded in a burst of energy. Where Damon once stood, now stands the Black Lion Ranger.
Yellow Lion Ranger morphing sequence:
A yellow beam of light coils around Kai as a lion’s head appeared behind him. It opens its mouth and swallows Kai, who is now covered in yellow light. Inside the light, the beam of light forms a yellow grid, which closes all over him. The yellow light and yellow grid exploded in a burst of energy. Where Kai once stood, now stands the Yellow Lion Ranger.
Pink Lion Ranger morphing sequence:
A pink shaft of light shines down on Kendrix as a lion’s head appeared behind her. It opens its mouth and swallows Kendrix, who is now covered in pink light. The shaft of light forms a pink grid, which closes all over her. The pink light and pink grid exploded in a burst of energy. Where Kendrix once stood, now stands the Pink Lion Ranger.
The five Lion Rangers stand before Icelouse, the sun glinting off their armour.
Red Lion Ranger: Six against one. Good odds for us, BAD for you.
Icelouse: I don’t suppose a surrender is an option...
Red Lion Ranger: No!
He summons the Fire Sabre and aims it at Icelouse and begins pounding him with fireballs. Similar Fire Sabres appear in the hands of the other Rangers.
Red Lion Ranger: Don’t just stand there, HELP ME!
They aim their Fire Sabres at Icelouse.
Red Lion Ranger: Lion Flame, IGNITE!
The Fire Sabres glow with energy, each firing a ball of flame. The five balls of flame merge into one huge fireball, which blasts towards Icelouse, slamming into him. He begins to glow, then topples over backwards and explodes in a ball of fire.
Blue Lion Ranger: YEAH BABY, we did it!
Yellow Lion Ranger: These new powers ROCK....
While the Rangers are celebrating, Red Lion Ranger slips into the forest and disappears from view.
Pink Lion Ranger: Hey guys, where’s Red?
Setting: Down Town Terra Venture
Leo and the others are walking down the street. Everyone around them seems to be fine.
Kai: What puzzles me is where Icelouse came from. Trakeena is finished and the Lost Galaxy portals have been sealed.
Leo: We may never know.
Kendrix: What I want to know is where Drax went after the fight.
Damon: Does it matter?
Leo: It's going to be a tough fight, but a fight we're going to win.
Kai: Exactly.
They continue to walk off down the street.

Icelouse: This should leave you frozen in your tracks.
Icelouse shoots a blue ray from his hands which hit Leo and Damon. Suddenly they are frozen in huge blocks of ice.
Paige: Leo, Damon.
Kai: No.
The others run after them as Icelouse disappears in an icy mist. When they reach Damon and Leo they stand in disbelief.
Kendrix: Oh no. Damon, Leo.
Mike: They're not . . .
Kai: No, they’re just frozen.
Lion Ranger walks up to the frozen Rangers and taps the ice blocks.
Lion Ranger: Hmm, not a problem. I SHOULD be able to clear this up...
He aims the Fire Sabre at them, which releases two rings of fire. The rings hover over the frozen Rangers and slowly descend down, melting the ice as they go. When the ice has completely melted, the fire rings dissipate.
Leo: What happened?
Damon: Why am I so cold?
Lion Ranger turns and begins to walk away. Kendrix runs after him.
Kendrix: Where are you going?
Red Lion Ranger: To find five volunteers.
Kendrix: What for?
Lion Ranger: Considering the unpleasantness between us concerning my LAST appearance, I highly DOUBT that your friends will agree to help me.
Kendrix: Help you with WHAT?
Lion Ranger turns to face her, then he glances at the other Rangers. He taps several controls on his Morpher. The Rangers’ Trans-Morphers dissolve away as two Lion Activators appear, one on each wrist.
Lion Ranger: Those are your Lion Activators. They are much stronger than your old Galaxy powers.
Leo: We’re not helping you, after what you did to Maya.
Lion Ranger: You’d not believe me if I told you the reason why I did what I did. Now you have two choices: work WITH me or WATCH TERRA VENTURE FREEZE. CHOOSE! (To Mike) Sorry there aren’t any Activators for you, I never counted on finding an ex-Magna Defender.
Mike: It’s ok.
Kendrix: Will these Activators help us stop Icelouse?
Lion Ranger simply nods, and remains silent.
Kendrix: I say we give him a chance.
Lion Ranger: (to Kendrix) Welcome aboard.
Kai: If Kendrix will, then I’m game.
Damon: Hey, he un-froze me, so he’s ok in my book.
Lion Ranger: Well Leo, only you remain...
Before Leo can respond, Lion ranger’s morpher beeps. He looks at the small digital readout.
Lion Ranger: Answer NOW Leo. Icelouse has returned.
Leo: Very well, but I’m watching you.
Lion Ranger: Excellent, then follow me.
Setting: Industrial Complex
Icelouse and a band of Ice Mites are rampaging through the streets. Icelouse freezes a couple of cars on the side of the street and an entire side of the building.
Icelouse: Soon, the entire city will be my ice castle.
Lion Ranger and the four remaining ex-Galaxy Rangers run around the corner.
Icelouse: Back for more? Well, this time, I’ll FREEZE YOU FOREVER!
Lion Ranger (to the Rangers:) Like I told you, NOW!
Rangers: Lion Ranger Force, ACTIVATE!
Blue Lion Ranger morphing sequence:
A beam of blue light wraps around Leo as a blue lion’s head appeared behind him. It opens its mouth and swallows Leo, who is now covered in blue light. Inside the light, a blue grid was formed all over him. The blue light and blue grid exploded in a burst of energy. Where Leo once stood, now stands the Blue Lion Ranger.
Black Lion Ranger morphing sequence:
A black grid warps around Damon as a lion’s head appeared behind him. It opens its mouth and swallows Damon, who is now covered in black light. Inside the light, the grid closes in all over him. The black light and black grid exploded in a burst of energy. Where Damon once stood, now stands the Black Lion Ranger.
Yellow Lion Ranger morphing sequence:
A yellow beam of light coils around Kai as a lion’s head appeared behind him. It opens its mouth and swallows Kai, who is now covered in yellow light. Inside the light, the beam of light forms a yellow grid, which closes all over him. The yellow light and yellow grid exploded in a burst of energy. Where Kai once stood, now stands the Yellow Lion Ranger.
Pink Lion Ranger morphing sequence:
A pink shaft of light shines down on Kendrix as a lion’s head appeared behind her. It opens its mouth and swallows Kendrix, who is now covered in pink light. The shaft of light forms a pink grid, which closes all over her. The pink light and pink grid exploded in a burst of energy. Where Kendrix once stood, now stands the Pink Lion Ranger.
The five Lion Rangers stand before Icelouse, the sun glinting off their armour.
Red Lion Ranger: Six against one. Good odds for us, BAD for you.
Icelouse: I don’t suppose a surrender is an option...
Red Lion Ranger: No!
He summons the Fire Sabre and aims it at Icelouse and begins pounding him with fireballs. Similar Fire Sabres appear in the hands of the other Rangers.
Red Lion Ranger: Don’t just stand there, HELP ME!
They aim their Fire Sabres at Icelouse.
Red Lion Ranger: Lion Flame, IGNITE!
The Fire Sabres glow with energy, each firing a ball of flame. The five balls of flame merge into one huge fireball, which blasts towards Icelouse, slamming into him. He begins to glow, then topples over backwards and explodes in a ball of fire.
Blue Lion Ranger: YEAH BABY, we did it!
Yellow Lion Ranger: These new powers ROCK....
While the Rangers are celebrating, Red Lion Ranger slips into the forest and disappears from view.
Pink Lion Ranger: Hey guys, where’s Red?
Setting: Down Town Terra Venture
Leo and the others are walking down the street. Everyone around them seems to be fine.
Kai: What puzzles me is where Icelouse came from. Trakeena is finished and the Lost Galaxy portals have been sealed.
Leo: We may never know.
Kendrix: What I want to know is where Drax went after the fight.
Damon: Does it matter?
Leo: It's going to be a tough fight, but a fight we're going to win.
Kai: Exactly.
They continue to walk off down the street.
