Note--this is still a rough sketch. FEEDBACK APPRECIATED! I'd like to know what you like about it, what you don't like, and how it could improve. My next version will have ears..fear not ;).
For those of you who don't know, he's a rough sketch for a villian from Power Rangers Crystal Planet, coming later around 2006-2007. Also, here's some bg info for those that don't know...
*takes place after Power Rangers Magna Crystals, which will be coming Summer 2004*
Story—The rangers feel that it would be a good idea to return the Magna Crystals to the Crystal Caves. When they make it to the cave, the Magna Crystals are unable to enter. Macrodie, a wise sage, appears once this happens. He tells the rangers that the Magna Crystals are not fit since they are not in their raw form. The rangers ask him how he knows this, and he tells him where he is from. The rangers ask to be taken there, and he regretfully lets them teleport there. The rangers stare in amazement as they realize that Crystal Planet revolves around Eltare. They meet up with Zoltar and Zaltoc, who tells them about Crystal Planet. The Dark Spikes appear in their ship and start attacking. While the rangers are on Eltare, Crystal Planet as been flattened. The rangers return and see this trouble as they are attacked by the ship. They can’t fight since they had given their stones to Macrodie so he could make their stones transform into the original form. Holdum, a small being from Crystal Planet, takes the rangers to a hidden base. Their, they meet Holdum, Macrodie, Atoryus, Lanin, Getremine, and Optomical—five rebels who are part of the Freedom Tribe. They tell the rangers that they have been holding off the Dark Spikes for some time, but the Dark Spikes got the best of them! They also mention that they are the last inhabitants as far as they know of Crystal Planet. The rangers want to morph, but Macrodie tells them that their powers aren’t strong enough. Since Josh’s power does not come from a Crystal Stone, he agrees to hold off the Dark Spikes. The other three rangers learn the powers of the ancient crystal to raise their inner powers. They get new stones and new powers and morph to fight. Josh’s powers have been destroyed in battle, so he is forced to stay in the hidden base until they find a solution on what to do with him. Later, they’ll meet the Dark Tribe—rivals of the Freedom Tribe, and that there are many more stones on Crystal Planet, which is why the Dark Spikes attack. They want to steal the stones to make their own team to take over the world.powers aren’t strong enough. The rangers learn the powers of the ancient crystal to raise their inner powers. They get new stones and new powers and morph to fight. The rangers quickly return to Earth to find a way to tell their families where they are going. Will they give their identities up? Also, they recruit three former rangers—Anthony, Steven, and ZACK! This makes their team have seven members. Later, they’ll meet the Dark Tribe—rivals of the Freedom Tribe, and learn about their history. They’ll also learn that there are many more stones on Crystal Planet, which is why the Dark Spikes attack. They want to steal the stones to make their own team to take over the world.
