Transformers PS2

I picked this game up yesterday and it does justice to the Transformers name. I was worried that this game was going to turn out like countless other liscensed games and be a pile of crap. My worries were for nothing. This is the best Transformers game ever. Basically the game is a 3rd person shooter. You only get to play as Optimus Prime, Red Alert and Hotshot. I was a little disappointed at this. I would have prefered more Autobots to play as but I guess they have to save stuff for the sequel. The graphics are great and the enviroments are HUGE. The control scheme takes a little bit to get used to but it's nothing major. I changed the controller setting because the default control has you pressing down to make the camera go up and vice versa. There are over 40 Mini-Cons and they each give you special abilities. The game is based on the Armada series but based on the cut-scenes I've seen in the game, so far, the story seems like it's from G1 but with the inclusion of the mini-cons story. I never could watch the Armada cartoon for more than a few minutes so I don't know it's story at all. The game's story seems pretty cool though. Doe anyone else have this game? If you do please post some opinions.

It was supposed to come out on the 11th but i too have played it and HOT DIGGITY DAMN!!! It even has the er-eee-oh when they transform!!!

Hopefully Custom Robo will turn out good!!

yeah...i remember when beast wars and beast wars transmetals came out....those were some major disappointments

Custom Robo should be out now or in the next couple of weeks. Egm didn't score it too favorably. It got average scores. I don't remember all offhand but the scores were like 5.5, 4.5, 5.0. I'll get back to you tonight with the real scores. It looks like a beautiful game. They said it plays like Virtual On and has elements of Pokemon. The story is strictly kiddie fair. I might check it out with a rental.
