Well I was thinking about an episode where Lord Zedd was going to recharge his power for a 100 years. Rita came that episode and basically woke him up, he probably barely got his 8 hours of sleep.

Any reason why he didn't go and recharge, even Master Vile came, and then the Machine empire.

Possibly he had a 1 year recharge (remembers Zedd was sleeping when Divatox phoned).

Also Lord Zedd wanted the Zeo crystal so he could power Serpenterra right? That was the whole point. Clearly the Zeo crystal was powerful... but Zedd had a written use of what to do with it.

He didn't have to charge for 100 years. He had to charge once every 100 years.

I thought it was for 100 years. Then again, I haven't seen the episode in about 9 years...

Lol ok, I'll make the question clear.

Why didn't Lord Zedd recharge. He was suppose to, but he didn't. How was he able to go on and fight battles and be powerful if he was lacking in energy.

If Lord Zedd got the Zeo crystal, what would he have done with it?

Rita was screwing him every night, plus if he ever recharged, he'd be considerably more powerful than Rita, she clearly did'nt want that to happen

He already WAS more powerful than Rita. I think his recharging was just an exuse for him to let his guard down.

Lord Zedd may have loved Rita even when he banished her, ("The Potion Notin" clearly indicates this) but he knew that in times of war, all personal feleings HAVE to be put aside to serve the needs of the army he was a part of.

The Love Potion did more harm to him than anything, because it not only gave him feelings he already had for Rita, it obviously messed with whatever made him the evil little S.O.B he once was, and returned genuine emotions to his body. it made him more human, which is exactly what he was reduced to when he was hit by the Zordon Wave.

Lord Zedd did recharge. I think you may have gotten the explanation of the recharge a bit backwards.

In "The Wedding", it was stated that every 100 years, Lord Zedd had to recharge his power. It doesn't take 100 years to recharge him, he only had to go through the recharging process every 100 years.

Zedd was already in the process of recharging when Rita returned to the palace. While Zedd was recharging, Rita grew back to her normal size, had Finster create the love potion, and dosed Zedd with it. When he woke up, he was under Rita's spell.

So Zedd was all rested and recharged before his wedding to Rita.

Well, if you put it that way, the Love Potion actually saved his life.

Zordon said that Master Vile could rule the universe with the Zeo Crystal, so it was a general ultimate power thing. But according to Turbo:APRM, the Turbo rangers could still run him over.

Yes, and going back to the Zeo Crystal and Serpenterra...

I always thought Zedd wanted it so he could power Serpenterra.

Hmm this may sound silly, but couldn't Lord Zedd's personal power been enough to power it. Like put his staff somewhere like a battery?

It sounds utterly stupid, not even Zedd is that powerful...there was a point to his recharge, did you honestly expect him to waste all of his energy on a Zord like Serpeterra? it would FUCKING EXHAUST HIM

And Zordon also said Ivan Ooze could rule the Universe with those two sucky zords of his Obviously, Zordon loves to exaggerate.
