Power Rangers Patrol Force
Strange gifts, part 1
It hadn’t been that long since they had beaten off the last attack on their planet, but the Patrol Force Rangers still knew it wouldn’t be long before their enemies came up with another way to cause suffering.
* * *
“Now that the Inferno Defender is here, things have become worse!” Lexor shouted.
“Well I’d consider that your problem,” Reekon replied.
“You’ve got the next mission, after all,” Mortdred added.
“It won’t be too much of a problem,” Lexor replied.
“So what will you do?” asked Darkstorm.
“Exactly what I will do is secret for now,” Lexor replied.
“Well then, you’d better come up with something!” shouted Darkstorm.
“Who exactly said I haven’t?” Lexor asked.
Everyone stared at him.
“Fine, I haven’t,” Lexor stated.
“The Inferno Defender must be causing a lot of confusion,” stated Darkstorm.
“No, the plan will be ready soon,” Lexor replied.
“But can you beat the Inferno Defender?” asked Reekon.
“We’ll see soon enough,” stated Lexor.
“How, when you have no plans?” Mortdred asked.
“I’ll come up with plans then!” shouted Lexor.
“I hope this succeeds,” Reekon muttered.
“We’ll see if it succeeds or not soon enough!” Darkstorm shouted.
“I shall come up with a plan soon,” Lexor added.
“I hope this works,” Cindar muttered.

“Well, at east the Inferno Defender is here,” stated Cheryl.
“Good thing we have a chance,” Sean replied.
“We don’t know when he’ll show up next though,” Jeremy said.
“We don’t need to,” stated Lauren.
“Why not?” Keith asked.
“We’ve handled things well enough without him,” Lauren stated.
“You seem very resentful of him being here,” Keith said.
“Something about him seems familiar,” Lauren stated.
“Really?” asked Jeremy.
“Yes, rally,” Lauren replied.
“It’s the first time we’ve seen him though,” stated Keith.
“Exactly why we can handle things alone,” Lauren replied.
“Then maybe we should,” Jeremy said.
“What?” asked Keith.
“Maybe I should take them alone,” Jeremy replied.
“How would that work?” asked Lauren.
“Easy,” Jeremy said, “I’d take them on by myself!”
“Now isn’t the time for that,” replied Lauren.
Jeremy then fell silent.

“In time,” Inferno Defender stated, “This could be a problem.”
“Of course,” replied someone else.
“Should we stop this?” asked Inferno Defender.
“No, let things progress,” the other said.
“Of course,” Inferno Defender replied, “But this has happened too often.”
* * *
“Finally, this idea is ready!” shouted Lexor.
“Who are you sending?” asked Darkstorm.
“I’m sending the Magnifier,” Lexor replied.
A strange, metallic monster appeared.
“Destroy everything!” Lexor ordered.
The monster teleported away.

The Magnifier appeared and magnified the sun’s rays, blasting a building apart.
* * *
“We’ve got to stop this!” Keith stated.
“Right, let’s stop this,” replied Sean.
“Patrol Force power, activate!” they called.
* * *
“We finally meet!” the Magnifier shouted.
“We don’t have time for this!” Patrol Red stated.
“Oh really?” asked Magnifier.
“Combination: Super Spear!” Patrol Red called.
All the Rangers threw their energised swords a Magnifier.
Magnifier was hit, but only staggered back.
“I’m done with this!” the monster shouted.
Magnifier blasted the team, but they avoided the shots.
“Patrol Buggy Armour, now!” Patrol Red called.
Magnifier kept blasting Patrol Red as he advanced.
Patrol Red fired once, blasting Magnifier apart.
“That didn’t go very well,” Vect muttered as he arrived.
Vect made Magnifier grow, then retreated.
“Now I’ll crush you!” Magnifier shouted.
“Sky Assault KnightZord, now!” the five called.
Sky Assault KnightZord stood, ready for battle.
Magnifier used his heat beam to knock the Sky Assault KnightZord down.
“This isn’t going too well!” Patrol Green shouted.
“We’ll finish this,” Patrol Yellow replied.
Super Inferno Defender blasted Magnifier.
“What?” Magnifier shouted as he fell.
“That was easy,” stated Patrol Red.
“I’m not dead, fools!” Magnifier shouted, blasting them again.
“We’ve got to end this!” Patrol Red stated.
“Sky Assault Mallet!” the team called.
The Sky Assault KnightZord took out a mallet, holding it in one hand.
“Crusher Strike!” the team called, slamming the mallet into Magnifier.
Magnifier staggered back, weakened by this.
“He’s still not dying!” Patrol Blue stated, shocked.
“You’re the ones who’ll die!” Magnifier shouted, kicking the KnightZord.
“This has gone on too long,” Patrol Blue stated.
The KnightZord fired off the missile attack, hitting the monster and forcing him back.
“Nothing’s working!” shouted Patrol White.
“I’ll crush you all!” Magnifier shouted.
“We’re going to need help here!” stated Patrol Red.
