I just want to give everyone who is interested a heads up once more that I will be offering full episode encodes of Dino Thunder on my site's BitTorrent.
These files will be encoded using Real Networks' Helix Producer 9 Plus in RealVideo 9. The file specs are as follows:
Bitrate: 250kbps
Resolution: 184 x 140
Opening Credits: Yes
Commercials: No
Approximate File Size: 35 - 45MB (somewhere in that neighborhood)
I will encode from ABC Family's presentations, so the first two episodes will be available approximately 2 hours after the second episode has finished airing. I first encode the footage as it airs in raw, .avi format, and then re-encode those files with Helix Producer using 2-pass encoding for optimum quality. The 2-pass process in turn doubles the time it takes to encode the files, but the end result is a better product, and because I don't have to upload the entire file thanks to BitTorrent, just as soon as they're done, I will make them available.
