In the Earth’s atmosphere, there could be seen a giant asteroid flying towards Earth at rapid speeds. It was heading for Glacier Bay. Not too far behind was a large bird made out of cards. It flew majestically after the asteroid and it too went towards Glacier Bay.
The asteroid landed in the cold dark blacktop of Glacier Bay High School, and out of the rocks came a being. The being was large and mostly hidden by the darkness of the night. From what could be seen, the being had an outline of a cobra for its head.
“Now to find Oxfire.” he said.
The being vanished, just before the paper bird landed and disintegrated into a deck of cards. In the sky, a man fell onto his feet and realized he was too late.

The next day, Stacy ran up to the guys and walked with them.
“I’m so excited. The Glacier Bay cheerleading squad has made it to finals. We’re going to be performing with other schools at the Glacier Dome. If we win we’ll receive $10000 for the school. I can hardly wait for it. I know we’re going to win, cause we’re the best cheerleading team!” Stacy explained with enthusiasm.
“Break a leg, Stacy.” Marshall said.
“Are you trying to jinks it or something? Now that you said that, I could break a leg. Thanks a lot Marshall. I thought you were cheering for me.” Stacy replied.
“I meant good luck.” Marshall quickly replied.
“I know you did.” Stacy jokingly replied.

“How should we go about defeating the Rangers this time?” Emperor Insectizer asked his fellow minions.
“You haven’t defeated the Power Rangers yet?” came the voice of someone unknown to them all.
Everyone turned to the entrance and there stood a gold and silver cobra monster with large fangs, sticky black claws that had slime covering all of it, and a tail that had a rattle at the end.
“Nexile!” Vecinicle realized. “You’ve finally returned from your banishment.”
“Yes, and if it wasn’t for that infuriating Spade Phoenix, I would’ve returned sooner and done this place a lot better.” Nexile explained. “Where’s Oxfire?”
“Oxfire’s no longer alive. And I’ve been put in charge since his defeat.” Emperor Insectizer explained.
“I see.” Nexile replied. “I think what we need to do is have a big celebration for my return to Earth.”
“That’s an excellent idea, Nexile.” Silor added.

At Glacier Dome, all the schools in the Los Angeles County competed in the Regional Squad Championships.
Every team did their best. Some did better than others. Some made big mistakes while others made small ones.
Stacy waited in her uniform with the rest of her team. All of them were nervous about the competition.
“We’re up next.” said the team’s coach.
All the girls on the team went onto the stage and readied themselves for their dance. The trance music started and the team captain made her way to the front doing cartwheels. The other girls dance in sequence in the back of the captain.
But then, from up above, the glass of the skylight was broken and in came Skulls. All the Skulls began attacking the people in the Dome. Soon after, Emperor Insectizer came with Vecinicle, Silor, and Zayugamon. Nexile was the last to arrive.
“Please, lets welcome back Nexile for his banishment of 254 years.” Vecinicle announced.
“Nexile?” Marshall asked.
“Is this another one of Emperor Insectizer’s monster?” Darren asked.
“Far from it.” Nexile replied. “I take it you four are the new Power Rangers. This should be easy.”
“Solar Saber Unitize!” Darren, Evan, and Stacy echoed.
“Cyclone Unitize!” Marshall called.
The four morphed into their Ranger suits and pulled out their personal weapons. All four of them quickly defeated the Skulls and went after one of the generals. Darren struggled against Nexile.
Evan struck Zayugamon over the head with his Hydro Knuckles, but did little damage to him.
Stacy and Vecinicle jolted around the Dome trying to strike each other. But weren’t able to. Stacy pulled out her Wind Ribbons and jumped into the air at the same time that Vecinicle did. She threw her ribbons onto Vecinicle and she was caught in them. Vecinicle plummeted to the ground where she crashed.
Marshall blocked a strike from Silor using his Tundra Shield. Marshall threw out his Cyclone Sword and struck Silor on the torso.
Suddenly, from the roof came the phoenix that had chased Nexile to Earth. It hovered inside the Dome for a bit and then disintegrated and in the middle of it all was one man holding a deck of cards that made the phoenix.
He suddenly stopped floating and landed on the ground on his feet. He was crouched until he stood up in front of the Rangers with his back to them.
“I thought I left you back in space.” Nexile said to the man.
“You can’t get rid of the Spade Phoenix. Its just not easy.” the man said.
With the flick of his wrist, the deck of cards in his hands spread out. He pulled out the middle card and on it was a white phoenix. He flicked it forward and the phoenix flew off the card and onto his body. The rest of the deck flew around his body in a tornado. All the cards attached onto his body and the lines of the cards faded away forming a suit with the phoenix card on the middle of the chest.
“Fury of the Spade Phoenix!” he echoed.
“Who is this guy?” asked Evan, in shock like the others.
“Mazik, do you have any idea who he is?” Darren asked into his Unitizer.
“He’s the Spade Phoenix. He was an ally to the ancient fighters. He took it upon himself to exile Nexile from Earth and followed him through space to make sure he wouldn’t return. Looks like the two of them have returned.” Mazik explained.
Spade Phoenix pulled out a few cards from his belt and flicked it at Nexile and Emperor Insectizer.
A group of cards flew around his right hand and took the form of a sword. He slashed Nexile across the chest with it. Nexile grabbed the sword and broke it into the cards it was. The cards flew around Nexile and cut him all over his body.
Nexile fired a few shots of venom out of his mouth and at Spade Phoenix. Spade Phoenix pulled off some of his cards and threw it into the air where they floated and absorbed the venom.
“Lets go. He’s been introduced long enough.” Emperor Insectizer announced.
The five of them vanished with the Skulls. All four Rangers powered down and waited for Spade Phoenix to power down as well.
He pulled out his phoenix card and the rest of his suit flew into his hand where it formed a deck of cards.
“Who are you four?” Spade Phoenix asked.
“We’re the Solar Frontier Rangers.” Darren explained.
“I think Mazik can explain everything to him better then us.” Stacy thought.

“…And these are the new Solar Frontier Rangers. They’re the descendants of the ancient fighters.” Mazik explained back at base to Krin, the Spade Phoenix.
“My, a lot has really changed since my departure long ago.” Krin replied.
“Who is Nexile, anyway?” Marshall asked.
“Nexile was one of the many evil foes that threatened the ancient world. He was the most powerful of any the fighters and I had come across. We weren’t able to defeat so we agreed to banish him into space where he’d hopefully die. I decided to go along and make sure he’d be killed. Obviously he was never killed.” Krin explained.
“Man that whole phoenix and cards theme you’ve got going on is so cool. I wish I had that.” said Evan.

In the downtown Glacier Bay, Emperor Insectizer emerged from nowhere with Nexile, Vecinicle, Silor, and Zayugamon.
“Lets bring the city down.” Nexile announced.

Mazik’s computer brought up the image of Emperor Insectizer with Nexile and the other three in downtown Glacier Bay.
“Looks like troubles back for more.” Stacy said.
“Solar Saber Unitize!” Darren yelled alongside Evan and Stacy.
“Cyclone Unitize!” Marshall called out.
The four Rangers morphed into their Ranger suits.
“Phoenix of the Deck, Energize Me!”
The Phoenix Card attached to Krin’s chest and the rest of the cards attached onto his body and seemed to blend onto him.

The Rangers and Spade Phoenix appeared in downtown Glacier Bay on top of buildings. Each of them jumped off the building they appeared on and landed in front of the evil five.
“Nexile, your day are numbered from here on out.” Spade Phoenix explained.
“Is that so?” Nexile replied. “If it is, I’d better enjoy the last of my days.”
Nexile blasted all the Rangers with venom from his mouth. He followed his attack with a barrage of fangs at the Rangers.
Spade Phoenix threw up his deck of cards from his belt and they seemed to float in the air. The cards then flew around his body and attached to his arms and legs. The cards that attached to his arms seemed to form large white wings and the cards that fastened onto his legs seemed to have made a tail.
“Whoa, he became a phoenix.” Marshall said in shock.
Spade Phoenix flew around the city with his new large wings. Nexile tried blasting him with his venom but was unable to. So Nexile jumped as high as he could and landed on Spade Phoenix’s back where he tried destroying him.
“We’ve got to do something!” Stacy said.
The Rangers pulled out their Injector’s and formed Injectizoid with them. They aimed it at Nexile and fired it.
“Don’t forget about us.” Vecinicle said as she charged at Marshall.
She struck Marshall with her sword pushing him down to the ground. Marshall pushed her away using his feet and pulled out his Cyclone Sword and he and Vecinicle clashed with each other.
Darren pulled out his Fire Solar Saber and struck Zayugamon with it hoping it would burn him severely. Nothing of that sort happened. Zayugamon grabbed his Solar Saber and held onto it tightly making it impossible for Darren to pull away without letting go of his sword.
Stacy saw this and reacted by blasting Zayugamon with her Injector. Zayugamon’s attention was caught by her and he crept to her slowly. But Silor swooped in and attacked Stacy allowing Zayugamon to back to Darren.
“I think we’re gonna need some more power to stop these guys.” Darren said.
Darren pulled out his Sonic Solar Saber and activated the Solar Armor. Stacy released her Thunder Solar Saber simultaneously as Evan pulled out his Blizzard Solar Saber and activated it.

Nexile had managed to climb back onto Spade Phoenix’s back. He tried desperately to get through his layers upon layers of cards, but was getting nowhere.
“Why must you be like this?!” questioned Nexile.
Spade Phoenix halted his movement and Nexile seemingly rolled right off his back and crashed to the ground.
All the cards flew off of Spade Phoenix and flew right into his belt. As he came down, his cards once again were released and they took the form of an ax. He came down and struck Nexile over the head.
“He’s not going that easily.” Emperor Insectizer announced. “Vecinicle, make him grow!”
Vecinicle pulled out a strand of her own hair and threw it into the remains of Nexile. Nexile’s body parts were pulled together by an unknown force forming his body once again, only bigger.
“Paper Phoenix!” Spade Phoenix yelled as he threw an even bigger deck of cards into the air.
The card flew higher in the air slowly forming a body. The cards formed a large Megazord type body with an opening in the face. Spade Phoenix jumped up and flew into the face before it closed. A bolt of lightning struck the paper Megazord making it into a real Megazord.
“That is so sweet!” Evan exclaimed.
“Paper Phoenix!” Spade Phoenix yelled out, though it seemed as though the Megazord said it.
Paper Phoenix threw its hand down and a sword formed out of the cards. Paper Phoenix ran at Nexile, though it seemed to floated its way across, and struck Nexile just as Nexile shot his venom once again.
Nexile pulled away and pulled out a fang from his mouth. The fang enlarged into a sword which he would use against Paper Phoenix.
The two jolted forward and clashed swords. Neither one of them hit each other.
“He looks like he could use our help.” Stacy thought.
“Lets go for the Solardroids.” Marshall replied.
The Solarion Megazord was formed and the Cyclone and Tundra Solardroids appeared. The three attacked Nexile making it possible for Paper Phoenix to back away.
The Cyclone Solardroid pulled out its Cyclone Sword while the Tundra Solardroid took out its Tundra Shield. Both placed the weapons together and fired it at Nexile.
The Solarion Megazord ran forward and threw its V-blade at Nexile. The V-blade struck him and flew back into the hands of the Megazord.
Paper Phoenix flew high into the sky and came down shooting cards out of its body at Nexile. It came down and kicked Nexile in the stomach pushing him down onto the ground.
“Its been fun, but I’ve got to go.” Nexile said.
Nexile suddenly vanished from the scene leaving only the Megazords and Solardroids.

“You feeling okay?” Darren asked.
