Why not post some links to classic fanfics, from actual fanfic archives? We have a generation of fans gestating on this board who think PR fanfiction is limited solely to script-format pseudo sentais. Is there no one here that has read Rachel Dawson, Stephanie Moffett, Joe Rovang, etc?

Certainly some of us still know those authors. Joe Rovang's "Titanus Speaks" remains one of my absolute favoriates. Though I imagine if there were to be any sort of a poll including 'classics' than there'd have to be a title not inculding the phrase 'of the month'.
However, as you said, most people here, aren't going to know many of those older stories. If there is to be any such thing, someone who does know them (like yourself) is gonna have to do it.

I don't think one was done in December, and I did one in Nov., but I don't remember the nominies, but it should still be in the polls. And then someone else did ones for months before that. I plan on doing them from now on.

Why not? It spotlights them for the month. Readers are, thus, expected to enjoy them over the course of the month and then actively participate in discussions pertaining to them. Like Oprah's book club. I think that's a marvelous idea. The readers are far less likely to have been exposed to them than the dreck they've just had foisted on them for the past four and a half weeks.

Looking at the views and replies, I doubt mine will be there.

All right, I'll concede that point. And I too think it's a great idea. More exposure to the really good older pieces would probably be very good for this board.
But the only archive I was very familiar with was Cynthia's Command Center Archives and it's long gone. I know where to find Joe's stuff, but that's it. I don't know where to even begin looking for any of the other old authors.

I'm going to continue to do fanfic's of the month until I get bored of it. I don't plan on doing it with the best of All-Time type thing, but if anyone else wants to go ahead(I hope if someone does that MMRR will be an choise for best of all time).

I don't know if any of the fics are the same fom Jan. and Nov. For future months, yeah I'll pick the same one twice if it deserves to be on the list twice. What I mean for if it deserves it, is for what was posted next month is worth making it on the list, then it will make it.

How I sorted all the fics for Jan. Is that it had to have at least one episode posted in Jan. Then I deleted all of them that had no replies then anyone else. Then I choose every fic that had 4 or more people different people reply, and they made the list. After that I eventually eliminated every one that had only 1 person reply. After that I looked at which fics were left, and decided which ones were most deserving to get the list to 8.

I do not think that Crayfish meant to create a 'best of All-Time' poll. I believe that he wants to expose the authors on this board to a higher caliber of fanfiction.
Further, didn't you and I just have a discussion about how your grammer skills are in serious need of correction? How can you entertain the idea that one MMRR would be in the running for 'best of All-Time' when your grammer makes it difficult to even read the story?

Can I nominate the PR: Inferno teamup movie for Febuary? Maybe I shouldn't nominate my own stuff, but, most people like DragonZord and well, in MMPR, the Zords had spirits but this was never used as a plot point, DragonZord (who has an organic dragon form in my fanfics) gets some focus in this teamup.... besides, its a teamup with another author's Rangers, so I'm not entirely nominating my own fanfiction.

I wonder who are the people that read Power Rangers Solar Frontier and the rest of my past fanfics? I know some of the people who read it.

Well I read Solar Frontier, and I am right now attempting to catch up on Crystal Saga. And now I remember y2ktm2, thank you for of course jogging my memory... But Fire Ranger I've never have gotten a chance to read any of your other fan fictions. When I first registered here (which was back in late december), I stumbled across it and then loved it. Went back and read all of the preceding episodes. I am trying to read and reply to as many as I possibly can, but with college and theatre and PRM, it's just too busy for me. I'm slowly progressing with everything but as of right now, I'm just trying to keep up with these fictions that are already out.

In case you were wondering what other fics I wrote, I wrote Power Rangers Solar Warriors, and Speed Charge and I cancelled Solar Storm. I had a few other Sentai fics which were my first that I lost on my computer after it crashed and I couldn't find them online.

Okay... I'll be sure to look for all of them. Sooner or later.
