Power Rangers: Aqua League Episode 1

Well, I was bored and daytime TV sucks, so I decided to write again. This will probably be only 20 episodes, give or take, each with maybe eight parts. Whatever, just read it. I love feedback!





Kyle walked home from school. It had been an exceptionally boring day. Everything sucked. He was failing Algebra 2, and Biology. He knew the stuff, he just didn't do his work. No one seemed to understand that. He got home and turned on the television to the news. "Today was an exciting day for cadets in the international Aqua League. The giant water protection society gave their newest members an assignment to clean an oil spill. However, they did not know that would be saving three scuba divers' lives today. Here's Dan with the story. Dan?" "Thanks Diane-"

The phone rang in his room. Kyle ran upstairs to get it. "Hello?" he asked. "Hey Kyle?" the voice on the other end asked. "What do you want Rylie?" he asked. "Gee, no need to be rude...Well I thought that since we are twins and that twins generally look out for one another, that I should warn you, but since you were so rude..." her voice trailed off. "Fine, I'm sorry. Tell me," Kyle demanded. "Well, there were these guys at school who were asking about you and I think they might come to our door tonight. They looked like government guys, you know black suits, earpieces, sunglasses, kind of like in the Matrix..." she said. "Well, that's a happy thought, Agent Smith is after me as well as Neo... I should go and prepare my story to tell mom and dad when they find out I'm failing. Bye, Ry." "Bye Kyle." He hung up the phone and sat on his bed. He started to fabricate a story about how his teachers were the dumb ones, not him.

The whole Berensen family sat at the table. Kyle and Rylie's mom had made pea soup that smelled gnarly. Even their dad looked at it funny.

After convincing their mom that after one bowl, they were full, the twins ran up to Kyle's room to just hang out. Rylie was going on and on about her after school activities. Kyle didn't even know how many she had. "She is such a perfectionist," he thought to himself. The doorbell rang. Rylie looked out the window to see who was there. "It's them," she smiled. "Kyle, these men want to talk to you!" Mrs. Berensen yelled. "I'll be right there!" he called back. "Tell me everything," Rylie said. Kyle nodded and went downstairs.

He went to the door. "I'm Kyle," he said. The three men nodded. The one in front stepped forward. "Is there an isolated spot where we can talk?" he asked. "Sure, there's a park a block down..." The men nodded again.

They reached the park, found a bench and sat down. "What is about?" Kyle asked nervously. The man who had spoken earlier looked at him and said, "I'm afraid the world needs you, Kyle Berensen." Kyle looked at him. "What? Is this a joke? Why the heck would the world need a kid who's failing two classes, has no friends, and watches too much TV anyway?" he asked, a bit hysterical. Another man tapped the first on the shoulder and held up two fingers. "We have no time for more questions. I need a decision. Will you help us, Kyle?" "Umm...." "I need an answer now." "Fine, whatever it is, I'll help." "Good, we need to go right now. You can ask questions later." He stood up. "Wait, go where?" Kyle asked. "I'm not going anywhere with out Rylie." "I'm sorry, kid, you gotta leave everything."

Wow, thanks for the reviews, I've been so busy with homework, I haven't been able to update (curse you, Algebra 2!!). Anyways, here's the next installment:

Kyle followed the agents into their black Buick. He sat down and buckled up. One of the agents started the car and pushed the gas as far as it would go. Kyle noticed another car trailing them. The agents finally lost the other car after a while. Five minutes later, they pulled into an old warehouse parking lot. "Get out," an angent barked. They led him inside to an elevator. They got inside and the agent pressed a combination of numbers instead of just floor one or two. "Three...nine...four...five..." Kyle kept repeating to himself. The elevator went down and stopped. The agent pressed the door open button and stepped out. Outside of the elevator was a bustling place filled with scientists and other people in uniforms.
"Welcome to Aqua League," one agent said as they led Kyle to another room. "Wait-" Kyle started. "Hold your questions until later," the agent instructed. They got to the room and motioned for Kyle to sit down and left.

Kyle waited for at least a half an hour, but he wasn't bored. He kept on asking himself question after question. Finally an important-looking man came in. "Sorry to keep you waiting, Kyle. We had a slight emergency. I'm Commander Yurbio, leader of Aqua League. I'm sure you have many questions, so fire away," he said. "Well, alright...How did you know my name?" he asked. "We've been keeping you under surveillance since you were in elementary school," he answered casually. "Okay...What exactly is it that I've gotten myself into?" "Well, you have been chosen to fight against an evil that lives right here in Greenfield. You and six others have been chosen to defend the city. You are the last one to come with us. There is a certain technology that those in Mariner Bay told us about. We have replicated it and enhanced it, so that you will not just be seven teens fighting underwater terrors, but seven teens who have great powers and will defeat those underwater terrors. You will become Aqua League Rangers." "Why Aqua League? You guys have the most elite swimmers, divers, and scientists. Why me?" "We believe you would be the best candidate to fill the position of the Blue Ranger." "Okay, that didn't answere my question, but I'll take it anyways. When can I meet the others?" "Now," Commander Yurbio said with a smile.

Kyle was led to yet another room. When he stepped inside, he saw three girls and three boys waiting. He sat down with them. Commander Yurbio stepped forward. "Hello, Rangers. It is now time for you to meet one another." He pointed to a tall boy with blonde hair and brown eyes. "This is Ryan, the Black Stingray Ranger." Next to Ryan was a girl with curly brown hair and blue eyes. "This is Ashley, the Pink Anenome Ranger." After her was another girl. She had red hair and brown eyes and was tall for her age. "This is Paige, the White Jelly Fish Ranger." Commander Yurbio came to Kyle. "This is Kyle, the Blue Shark Ranger." Next to Kyle was a boy with long, brown hair and blue eyes. "This one is Peter. He will be the Yellow Clownfish Ranger." Next to a disappointed Peter was a girl with short, straight black hair and blue-grey eyes. She was a little short. Commander Yurbio smiled. "The last ranger is Jordan, she is the Red Squid Ranger. She is your leader."


Okay, I'll update this one soon, we're still on the pilot episode! Sorry for any spelling errors, I have a new keyboard that I'm not used to. If there were errors that I missed, I'm deeply sorry...

Okay, here's the next installment:

Commander Yurbio's pager beeped. "I'm sorry, but I must leave, it appears that I'm late for a meeting. I will get someone to show you where you will be bunking," he said. As they walked out of the meeting room, a woman and a man walked up to them. "This is Ms. Frendan and this is Mr. Kellern, they will show you to your rooms," Commander Yurbio said. "Boys, follow me and ladies follow Ms. Frendan," Mr Kellern said curtly. The girls went with Ms. Frendan down the left hall while the boys followed Mr. Kellern down the right.

"Okay, girls, all three of you get separate rooms. Jordan, the one in the middle is yours, Ashley, you get the one on the right and Paige, you can have the one on the left. All of the rooms adjoin to each other. Go ahead and make yourself at home, just meet back at the same room in an hour," said Ms. Frendan. Jordan walked into her room. Hers was already customized to fit her, but the others didn't know that. She walked straight to the bed, set the alarm to wake her up in fifty minutes and took a nap.

"Boys, you will have to share rooms. Two boys per room, except for Ryan. Kyle and Peter in this room and Ryan in this room. You have an hour until the next meeting in the same room," said Mr. Kellern. Peter walked into the room he now shared with Kyle. There were bunk beds on one side and two desks on the other. There were two closets in between. It was reminiscient of a college dorm room. "So, top or bottom?" Kyle asked. "Let's flip for it. Tails I get top, heads I get bottom," replied Peter as he took a quarter from his pocket. Kyle nodded "Sounds good." The quarter landed on tails. Peter climbed to the top and sat down while Kyle took a chair from the desk and sat down. "So, what do you think about all of this?" asked Kyle. "Well, I'm a freaking Nemo instead some cool fish, but other than that, I really don't know what to think." "Same here, but without the Nemo thing."

Sorry if it's not good, I'm sick again and I think the medication they've got me on is making me a little loopy. Remember to give me feedback and once more, I apologize for and spelling or grammar errors.

It's cool. Can't wait to until the Zords appear (Though I'm guessing the Zords won't appear until episode 2 or 3)

They reported back after an hour. There was a box in the middle the table. Commander Yurbio walked in and took the box. "It wasn't supposed to be like this, but an emergency has come up. You will need to use your powers immediately. These are your morphers. Just push the big button in the middle and you'll become the rangers. You will find out about the other buttons later. I need to brief you on the situation. There is an underwater cavern that is the source of a mysterious energy. This is not the first time this has happened. A creature has escaped from the cavern. No one knows what it is. We've just been calling them monsters. This particluar monster started destroying animal habitats on the ocean floor. It also destroyed the construction for the new underwater station. We need you to get rid of this monster. As you will be underwater, all of your suits are equipped with oxygen and dive equipment." He handed them their morphers. They strapped them on their wrists. Jordan looked at them all. "Ready?" she asked. No reply came. "Well, then, let's morph..." she said. They all pushed the button at the same time. Immediately, they were transformed into fighting machines. "Woah..." said Ryan. The rangers followed the commander to a door. "Right now this cahmber is empty. When you walk in and close the door, it will slowly fill up with water. When it is full, open the door on the other side and you will find yourselves in the ocean. Good luck to all of you," said the commander.

A few minutes later, the rangers were following Jordan in V- pattern. "I feel like I'm in the Mighty Ducks, with that whole "flying v" thing that they did," Steven said. "Shut up!" was Jordan's reply while the others laughed. They spent a couple more minutes looking for signs of the monster. "Right there..." said Paige as she pointed. The monster looked like a grotesque cros between a squid and a salmon. "Disgusting!" shrieked Ashley. The commander's voice came over the com systems in their helmets. "The square button is for your standardized weapons, which are fins that snap on to your wrists and have fin-shaped blades that come out of two sides. The round button is for your specialized weapons, which are specific for each person. Good luck." "Well, I say we push the magic button and kick his sorry butt," declared Peter. "Let's do it!" said Jordan. The fins appeared rigth where Commander Yurbio said they'd be. "Nifty..." said Jordan. The monster finally caught sight of them. He swam over.

"If any of you have any combat skills, attack like mad. Those of you who don't, still attack like mad," were Jordan's instructions. The rangers attacked as one with carefully choreographed moves. They were all in perfect sync. Jordan sliced and diced like no tomorrow. Ryan ripped the monster's flesh from it's body. The water was thick with monster blood. Kyle swam up to the monster and plunged his blade as far as it would go and repeated the act again and again. Kyle finally found the heart and sliced it out of the body. The monster floated to the top of the water where a clean-up crew of Aqua League officers were waiting in a boat. The rangers swam back to the base and entered through the same chamber. They were greeted by cheers and applause right as more alarms started blaring. "Uh-oh," said Kyle.

Thanks to all who have read and reviewed so far. Once again, I apologize for any spelling or grammatical errors...

"Rangers! We have a visual on our viewscreens! Come to the lab immediately!" blared the P.A. system. The seven rangers ran to the lab. Commander Yurbio was waiting for them. They gathered by the screen. "Rangers, this is Dr. Rawlings, the main scientist for this project. She has some information." Before Dr. Rawlings spoke, a dark substance shot out of an underwater cave. The substance coated the monster's carcass. They watched as the monster they had defeated only minutes before came back to life. Jordan closed her eyes and moaned. Dr. Rawlings came forward. "This chemical issued from a cave. It was the same cave that the monster came from. I realize that defeating the monster is your first priority right now, but you need to destroy whatever that chemical is coming from first. That means swimming to the cave while avoiding the monster. You will need to go inside and pull the detonators from the pouch on your belts and set them for at least five minutes. Swim back and once more avoid the monster. After the explosion takes place, then it will be safe to fight the monster again. Good luck to all of you." she said.

The rangers walked back out to the hatch where they exited before and swam out to open water. "Okay, the only way to avoid this monster is to distract it. Any volunteers?" Jordan asked. No response came. "Well, as chosen leader of this sad bunch, I pick Paige to be the bait." Paige nodded and swam closer to the monster. The other rangers went straight to the cave. As they swam closer, they noticed a faint light coming from the cave. "Let's get in and out as fast as we can..." Peter proprosed. "Amen to that," said Ryan. Jordan led the way towards the cave and stopped right next to the entrance. "This is it. We get in, set the explosives, and haul butt out of here." They swam in together.

Outside of the cave, Paige was busy distracting the monster. The monster followed her every move with its eyes.

They found nothing for the first couple of feet in the cave. "I think I see something..." said Ashley.

Paige just swam around the monster again and again. "This is boring, come and get me!" she said. The monster did just that. He snatche Paige in its enormous claws and swam to the cave.

"We gotta get out of here! I swear, that's a trap. Come on, a tank full of goo just sitting there?! That never happens!" Kyle exclaimed. "Well throw a rock in it and see what happens," Jordan suggested. Ryan swam to a medium sized rock and dropped it in the tank. The rock sizzled and dissolved as the whole cave began to shake. "Not good!" shouted Ashley.

Oh my goodness!! I had no idea you thought I was that good! I am also only sixteen and life sucks most of the time, so I write. I write anything from CSI to Power Rangers. Thanks for posting! The next update should be soon, but now I have to work on Algebra 2...

you're also only sixteen? cool! i din't think any teenagers my age were interested in Power Rangers anymore. my best friend ( also 16) says its kinda kiddish. i say, i'm a kid at heart, so why not enjoy what i want? anywho, where do you live? I live in South Carolina. as soon as i can, i'll post some of my Rangers' series entitled, " Power Rangers: Tornado Time." it's not quite as good as yours, but i'll hope you and the others enjoy it as much as i enjoy reading your awesome fanfics!

Well, along with the next update, I also have some personal information, since Kali_WolfChilde asked so nicely:
I am a girl from San Jose, California. I was born on August 4th and my favorite tv shows are CSI, Everwood, Power Rangers, and Joan of Arcadia.
Now for the next installment:

"Get out of there now!" shouted Commander Yurbio into the com links in the rangers' helmets. "No problem there!" Kyle shouted back. The rangers swan as fast as they could and then came face to face with the monster that held Paige in its grasp. Paige's body was limp. "Oh, holy, crap..." whispered Ashley. The monster suddenly let go of Paige and lunged for the rest of the group. As the rangers swam out of the monster's way, Ryan swam to where Paige's body fell and picked her up. "Get her to the Aqua League headquarters now!" commanded Jordan. Ryan swam to the hatch.

"Okay, try to escape, we can strategize later. On my go, three, two, ONE!" Jordan yelled. The rangers dodged to monster and swam to the station.

Ryan pressed the demorph button on Paige's morpher. She didn't look so good. He carried her to the Medical Wing. A doctor met him at the door and took Paige from his arms and laid her on a bed. The doctor looked worried and told Ryan to leave the room. Ryan didn't even put up a fight, he already knew the extent of the damage caused by the monster.

The rangers rushed in and demorphed. Commander Yurbio directed them to the waiting area outside of Paige's room. Ryan was sitting with his head in his hands. They all demorphed. "Apparently we have an hour until the doctors will be done examining her and all the scientists and combat specialists are strategizing on how to kill this thing. So, we get to sit here and wait," Jordan announced. "Woohoo," said Peter sarcastically.

Jordan pulled off her sweatshirt and revealed a small tank top underneath. She turned around to put the sweatshirt behind her chair. A small tattoo on the back of her right shoulder caught Kyle's eye. "Hey, Jordan, what's the thing on your back?" he inquired. "It's a tattoo that says Aqua League #143," she replied. "What's it for?" "I'm the 143rd cadet to join Aqua League, also the youngest member ever." "I thought I saw you before! You were on the news before! Wasn't your brother a famous Aqua League member?" "Yup, and I really don't feel like saying any more than that." "Oookay..." said Kyle.

The doctor came of the room and spoke "We thought she would be fine, but she went into cardiac arrest and we couldn't recusitate her. She died."

Haha, I killed one off in the first episode...

Mama miya! this is just too suspenseful. normally, i don't like surprises. but this is one surprise that i like. the story rolls out bit by bit, enthralling and entertaining the reader with its twists and turns. i love it. Keep up the good work, HavokRanger!

Oh my gosh, I completely haven't written about Steven! He was the Green Ranger! Well, I'll edit him out later, I think I have a plan...

The rangers were in shock. Paige dead? It was impossible! Peter hit the wall in anger and bruised his fist. Ryan just sat with blank eyes. Ashley silently sobbed. Kyle gritted his teeth. Commander Yurbio approached them with what looked like another Aqua League officer. "You said this was a special project! You failed to inform us that death was a possiblity!" Jordan shouted through tears at him. The commander's companion grabbed her and held her close to him. "We have come to inform you about a new way to defeat these monsters." Everyone looked up. The lieutenant that held Jordan let go and spoke up. "We weren't going to bring these out until we knew they were fully ready, but this is an emergency. Look at your morphers. The yellow triangular button is to call what we have named "Zords." They are each the animal that you represent. Each has its own weapons and abilities. These are needed to destroy the monster. Swim out like normal and them call your Zords. Good luck to all you." "Thanks Micah," Jordan said. "Alright, let's morph!" she shouted. They all became warriors. "I could get used to this..." Peter decided.

The rangers swam to open water. "Ready? Let's do it..." Jordan said. They all pressed the small button on their morphers. At once, six giant fish joined them in the water and somehow, they were transported inside. As Ryan looked over the controls, he decided he would kill this monster or kill himself. Since killing the monster caused less harm to him, he went at it with no instruction. He fired one missile after another. The others joined in. They all fired their special weapons. Jordan shot flachettes at the monster and ripped his skin apart. They all saw the monster fall. Ryan fired one last time and watched as the monster exploded.

Later, in the base, the rangers were gathered around the table as they waited for Commander Yurbio and Micah, who had turned out to be Jordan's brother. They walked in with smiles and another young man. "Well done on your first mission. I know that you were all good choices for this. I have another ranger here that is joining the team to replace Paige. His name is Steven."

I'm not concerned with the other stuff you have written. I'm only talking about Aqua League here. As far as I am concerned, the actual content lacks structure, good word usage, and development. It almost just goes right into it, not building up to anything. How can I connect with the characters? I can't. It's all one-dimensional. I'm giving you constructive feedback here. I apologize if I came off as rude in my first response.
