Okay, for years now (from TimeTeam to Power Rangers: Tech) I've tried desperately to make a cool serious fanfic. Now I try again. Yay.
I was looking through my old tapes, and saw the Psycho Ranger VHS thing. For old times sake I watched it, and afterwards I smiled remember even in this condensed version of the saga it still is magnificent. But I couldn't help thinking how much more could be done. Just because it's one fo the best sagas in PR doesn't mean it's the best it could be. Then I thought of something: how come no one has ever tried to expand this series into a novelization thing?
And woohoo.
So my next project is going to be a slight novelization of the Psycho Ranger saga. Being the Psycho Ranger saga is large and my attention span is small, I'm gonna for now just say I'm gonna try and novelize Rangers Gone Psycho, and work from there. The focus of my fic will be more on how the Psycho Rangers were created, and how they feel. Every few chapters, there will be either a chapter from PsychoRed's perspective or an excerpt from his logbook (not sure yet). It'll show their progression to mindless warriors to insanse maniacs, obsessed with destroying their oponents. It'll also show more insight into how the Psychos were created.
I am also thinking of making the entire series from Psycho Red's perspective. I'm going to be experimenting over the next few days, and begin working on the first few actual chapters once my Christmas Break starts.
This project is tentatively titled Psycho, but other names I'm considering are Pzycho and PsYcHo. Whateva.
