MMPR:ADVANCED EPISODE TWO
"We Need A Hero" prt. 2

***Cue on MMPR:Avanced Opening credits with Theme***

The teens’ faces are horrified, their eyes are filled with tears as they realize that Billy and Alpha are for real, and that their whole existence is very close to ending.)

BILLY- I’m sorry that it had to come to this. But it was the only way that you would believe.

TRAVIS- (knelt down on his knees with tears in his eyes) What can we do? Can this be prevented??

BILLY- Yes, this is the part where you all come into play.

SHA- I’ll do anything!!!

JOSH- Me too, what can we do?

BILLY- Well…you all have been chosen by my computer program to be the sworn protectors of Earth. I realized this right before I was meant to be destroyed by the army of putties, and right at that time I then set my device to send me back in time to around 2:00 p.m. yesterday…which is close to this exact time now. I did that so I could have enough time to locate you, and hopefully assure you of your destinies.

TRAVIS- Destinies…what…we’re not meant to die??

BILLY- Well, technically you are meant to die, but I have intervened . I am here to set a new path, and to ensure the Earth of its overall destiny…to exist in peace. Your destinies are to become Power Rangers.

DYLAN- Power Rangers?? There haven’t been Power Rangers here for years!

ALPHA- That is correct.

KYLE- Well, what are we going to get the power from?

BILLY- We are going to try and attain the "phantom crystal". Those powers alone are way too much for any mere human to handle…so we’ll need some sort of power equilizers. I think the only chance we have at doing this is to first travel back in time before Rito and Goldar have a chance to destroy the Power Coins…and take them ourselves.

TRAVIS- Do you think that will work? I mean, if the bad guys know that we have the coins, won’t they come and find us, and totally screw up all the events in time??

BILLY- That’s why I have created these. (he opens a small box of fake power coins) These are what I call "Decoy Coins". They give off the appearance of real power coins, so that Rito and Goldar won’t know the difference.

JESSICA- So, hey…this can actually work!!

JOSH- Then what do we do?

BILLY- Then our mission is to hopefully get back in time before Lucious Zedd has a chance to attain the "Phantom Crystal". Then, if we succeed on that, we will have enough power to protect the Earth. Mere Power Coins would be no match for Zedd’s power. So, they’ll act as an equilizer between you and the power of the crystal.

SHA- So when do we begin to do all of this stuff?

(an alarm sounds from the computer)

ALPHA- Ai, yai yai!! Billy! According to our time data, you and the six should be on your way back through time to get the power coins right now!! The army is coming!

BILLY- What about you, Alpha?

ALPHA- I will be fine. I will keep a look out on all of Zedd’s activity. If any putties begin to show, I will hide in my recharge port! But don’t worry about me, you and the others need to go now!

BILLY- Okay, Alpha. We’ll be back soon…we will succeed!

(Billy types in time coordinates into his device. Suddenly they disappear into the time riff)

ALPHA- Ai, yai, yai!! (he runs into the small room and gets in his recharge port)

(Cuts to outside Angel Grove, seven years earlier. A small time portal opens and out falls Billy and the six teens)

BILLY- Here we are. This is the exact location specified by the coordinates on my device.

TRAVIS- Now what?

(The six begin to look around. They are at some sort of factory outside of Angel Grove. Billy then spots…himself with the other rangers…as their children forms.)

BILLY- Look!!

(The six see Billy’s younger self)

DYLAN- Oh, now that is wicked!!

TRAVIS- What were you doing there, Billy?

BILLY- That’s when I was trying to use the power coins to turn my friends back into their normal age…a few minutes from now is when Goldar and Rito appear to steal the generator. We must go and convince my younger self of our situation.

JOSH- Do you think you’ll…believe you?

JESSICA- Uh, that sounds pretty weird.

BILLY- I’m sure seeing my older self would be evidence enough, wouldn’t you? Plus, I will also show him the footage from my device, if necessary. I mean, it worked on you guys…

DYLAN- Okay, well…let’s get this show on the road…I guess…

KYLE- Yea, we’ve got a planet to save.

(they all make their way toward the young Billy. The older Billy uses a hand gesture to tell the six to stay behind. He approaches his younger self)

BILLY- Billy Cranston…

(The young Billy turns around)

YOUNG BILLY- What? Who are you? You’re not me! … You must be sent from Zedd and Rita! Stay away from our coins! (the young Billy gets into a fighting stance)

BILLY- No, I’m not here to harm you or the other rangers, and I’m not sent by Rita and Zedd. I am you from the future. I am here because the earth is only a few hours from being destroyed by Lucious Zedd, Lord Zedd and Rita’s son.

CHILD TOMMY- What? That have a son?

BILLY- In the future they have a son, but it’s nothing for you to worry about now. Look . This is all I can tell you about the future…in a few minutes, Rito and Goldar will be sent here to steal the generator with your power coins in it, then Rita and Zedd will destroy them with their staffs.

CHILD ADAM- This can’t happen…there has to be a way to stop them!

BILLY- There is…give the coins to me!

YOUNG BILLY- No way, this is a trap. You’re not going to fool me into giving you our powers!! They’ve done this to us before…I’m not going to give you anything!

BILLY- No, you have to understand! In the future there are no more powers to protect the earth. Six teenagers and I have come here in this time to achieve the power coins, because quite frankly, it’s the only power that is left that still has a chance. You have to believe us!

CHILD AISHA- Do you have any proof?

BILLY- Yes. I have this device. I can’t tell you too much about the future but you just have to trust in me when I say everything will be okay.

(young billy studies the screen on the device. It shows some events from the future.)

YOUNG BILLY- But how can that be so if I just hand you our powers over…then the past is history.

BILLY- All I can say is this…the Power Rangers will get help…and you guys WILL attain Ranger Powers again….I promise. It may look a little grim in the beginning, but trust me…everything will be okay.

(young Billy looks unsure. The older Billy opens up his small backpack)

BILLY- Look, we don’t have much time. To insure that time goes on as it is meant to, I will give you these decoy power coins, so that Rito and Goldar think that they have the real powers. Come on, time is ticking away!

YOUNG BILLY- …Let me contact Alpha and see if you are telling the truth.

BILLY- Fine, but please hurry!

(young Billy presses down a button on his wrist communicator)

YOUNG BILLY- Alpha, come in. This is Billy.

ALPHA- Go ahead Billy.

YOUNG BILLY- I need you to run a bio-scan on this being who claims to be me from the future. I want to know if he is really me. He says that he and his team needs our powers to save the future.

ALPHA- Okay, Billy…scanning now.

(it takes a few seconds before Alpha replies)

ALPHA- Ai,yai,yai Billy!! He is telling the truth! His bio-vibrations are identical to yours!!!

(Billy now believes in his older self…but now it’s too late as Goldar and Rito show up.)

GOLDAR- Hello Blue Ranger! (evil laugh)

RITO- Ha! What’s up, homies?

BILLY- Oh great!! Now time could be seriously altered forever!!

CHILD ROCKY- What do you want, Goldar?! (camara zooms in on the once great Goldar)

GOLDAR- Hello children!! I’ve got a message from Lord Zedd!! Hand over that generator now, or become baby food!

YOUNG BILLY- You’ll have to go through us!! (Older Billy and the six teens back Young Billy up)

good story. i read it and that was suprising to see that the enemy is lord zedd and rita's son. the only thing that i kind of see wrong with it is that finster is in it and the problem is finster was destroyed in countdown to destruction by zordon's energy wave. keep up the good work on part three. also good element of the younger rangers in their young selves not deciding weither or not to trust the future billy because they still have their smarts as rangers since the power coins allowed their memories to stay perfect.

about Finster- Lucious Zedd used his magic to resurrect Finster from the dead using his Mother's magic. Lucious will use his magic to resurrect many of the past's henchman ;)

if you bring back goldar and make him twice as powerful that would be a great element also you can say in the future billy found the destroyed remains of the thunderzords/tigerzord and say they use them in the battle if you want. i look forward to part three jessica.

i forgot to say that if you probably did like my suggestion of them using the thunderzords/tigerzord be sure to say that billy was able to rebuild them and make them work again.

RITO- Hey you little squirt! Hand over those coins!!

CHILD TOMMY- There’s no way we’re gonna let you get our powers!

GOLDAR- Hey…who are you? (he points his sword at the older Billy and the six teens)

BILLY- I’m fed up. You might as well quit while you’re ahead, Goldar. I’m telling you right now that none if this will ever pay off.

RITO- Woa…two Billys? (he scratches his head) Did one of my contacts just fall out or somethin’?

GOLDAR- Enough of this pointless bantering!! Rito…get the generator!

RITO- Huh? Oh yea, …right! Tengas!!! (a team of tenga warriors appear) Alright!! Get em!

(Billy quickly turns to the other rangers)

BILLY- Tommy, Rocky, Adam, Aisha, Kat! You all should all teleport to the Command Center right now! We can’t afford anything to happen to any one of you!

CHILD TOMMY- Alright, Billy. Whatever you say!

BILLY- Okay, see you soon, my friends.

(The young rangers teleport out of the battle)

BILLY- Alright…

(Tenga warriors then attack the new teens, all of which defend themselves pretty well…except for Jessica who begins running from them, going in circles.)

JESSICA- Hey…some help, please! I can’t fight these things!!

(a tenga runs and catches up with her. Kyle then comes to her aid and trips up the tengas who were chasing her and releases her from the grip of the other Tenga. She seems suprised that he helped )

KYLE- That’s all there is to it, miss Jessica. Are you okay?

JESSICA- Yea. …Thank you, Kyle.

KYLE- No prob.

(she begins to fight. Camera zooms in on Josh fighting some tengas. They seem to be no problem for him, he shows off his strength and quick skill. Then shows Travis and Dylan double-teaming some tengas. Travis kicks one high on the chest while Dylan trips it from behind. Then shows Sha and Jessica fighting back to back.

Now it shows the two Billys fighting Goldar and Rito, side by side. The older Billy attempts to kick Goldar, but he just grabs his leg and throws him aside. The older Billy lands right next to the generator…

Now the younger Billy has Rito and Goldar to deal with. He attempts to fight them off, but they simply push him aside. Now the two henchmen make their way over to the older Billy, who is next to the generator. He tries with all his strength to protect the generator…but it does absolutely no good. They toss him aside like he were a mere rag doll. Rito picks the generator up)

RITO- Ha ha! Lookie here, wieners! (he holds the generator up)

GOLDAR- Ha yea! We have your precious powers!! Looks like we win this time!!

TRAVIS- No!! (he attempts to run towards the two monsters, but older Billy stops him)

YOUNG BILLY- Hey! Give that back!

(Young Billy charges for the generator)

RITO- Oop! That’s our que! C’mon let’s boogie on outta here! Hmm…speakin’ of boogie… (picks his nose while they all teleport out)

YOUNG BILLY- NO!! (he falls to his knees, weeping) The power is gone! …I’ve failed! (He pounds his fist into the ground) This CANNOT be happening!

SHA- What are we going to do now, Billy?

DYLAN- They took the power…It’s all over now…isn’t it?

BILLY- …No.

YOUNG BILLY- What? They took the generator…it’s over.

BILLY- No, it isn’t. When Goldar threw me aside, I landed right next to the generator… (he gets his backpack, and sticks his hands in, then brings them back out…holding the real power coins)

YOUNG BILLY- What? (He examines the coins…he discovers that they are infact real)

BILLY- I had just enough time while I was on the ground to exchange the decoys with the real ones…

TRAVIS- Woa…you really are a genius, Billy!

JOSH- So everything is set…we’re going to live!

BILLY- It appears that way, yes. But its not over yet. (Older Billy approaches younger Billy.) I am asking you if we can use these coins. The future depends on it. Remember…the rangers WILL find a new power source and everything will be okay from now on…I promise.

YOUNG BILLY- All right. I believe you. Take the coins, and use them wisely.
I hope you succeed. Obviously this time will go on from here.

BILLY- Thank you…. …You alone are saving the Earth from its current destiny. Take care of the others, …and say hello to Zordon for me.

YOUNG BILLY- Okay, I will. Good luck in the future,

BILLY- Don’t worry. Your time will be fine. Me being here is proof. …. We will succeed.

YOUNG BILLY- Yes, I know…

(The older Billy rejoins the teens and starts typing into his device again.)

good elements jessica. i can see you made sure billy has a plan and he had a great plan on how to trick goldar and rito and he managed to get away with getting the real power coins back and tricking goldar and rito with decoy power coins. i am looking forward to the rest of the story.

BILLY- Now, I’m setting the time coordinates to about 30 minutes before the crystal’s portal opens. Here…take your new Power Coins.

(he hands each of them a Power Coin)

JESSICA- How will we know what to do with them?

BILLY- Don’t worry. As soon as you morph, you will know everything about your powers, just as I did. You will feel like a pro…like it’s your second-nature. Now…come on…it’s time to go.

(the time portal opens and all step inside. Then they arrive back in their time near the cave that the crystal will appear at.)

BILLY- Alright. We should lay low here for a few minutes. Lucious and Finster are both scheduled to be here any minute now.

TRAVIS- What? You mean we are going to face the bad guy head on??

BILLY- Maybe not… all we have to do is snatch the crystal when it appears and then teleport back to my basement.

DYLAN- Oh I have a bad feeling about this…

BILLY- Look…we don’t have enough time. We’ll just get in the cave and hide out until they come. Then I’ll tell you when it’s time.

JESSICA- Time for what?

(Billy slowly turns around)

BILLY- When it’s Morphin Time…

(They obviously have no idea what he is talking about)

BILLY- Look. When I tell you to morph, take out your Power Coin and a morpher will appear. Hold your morpher in the sky and call out the name your color. Do you understand?

(They all nod)

BILLY- Okay, let’s go.


(Scene cuts to the Fortress on the moon. It is old and run down….no inhabitants. Then the camera zooms in on Lord Zedd’s old throne, now the camera pulls back until you can see the middle of the Chamber. Electricity Shoots out everywhere from one spot in the middle of the floor. A Portal opens, and out walks Lucious Zedd and Finster. Lucious looks around in amazement.)

LUCIOUS ZEDD- Can you believe it? This is it! …It’s spectacular!

(He walks over to his father’s old throne)

LUCIOUS ZEDD- This….This is where my father used to sit…his throne…. (He kneels before it)
Oh Father…what have they done to you? Disgraced our family by turning you into a human!

(He stands up…)

LUCIOUS ZEDD- And Mother! How they have stolen you from me! But I promise to avenge what was done to you….I will make the humans pay!

FINSTER- Sir…why don’t you use your powers and make this place come to life again! Your parents can live through you! Sit in the throne and be the new Emperor!

LUCIOUS- Yes…I had planned on that. But this place is sacred. I will renew what it once was! (He says an encantation) "Make my parents live through me, the power, the wisdom, the very last key. My strength, my powers, although few…can make this ancient Fortress new!"

(His hand, raised in the sky now shoots surges of power out from his fingertips and completely transforms the inside of the mansion. He then makes a staff appear, which looks like a combination of Rita’s and Zedd’s, and walks toward the revised throne and sits down on it. His Blue body glowing with anger….his visor begins to glow also.)

LUCIOUS- Finster. I resurrected you from death to help me find more power. It is my understanding that you have created some sort of device that tracks it down?

FINSTER- Yes, sir! According to this, an unknown source of power…just like the last one we attained…is about to appear inside of a Cave outside of Angel Grove!

LUCIOUS- Good. It’s like the last one? You mean…a crystal?

FINSTER- That is correct.

LUCIOUS- How much time do we have?

FINSTER- About five minutes, my prince.

LUCIOUS- Alright…let us prepare ourselves. We are going to Earth…


(Scene cuts back to inside the cave were Billy and the six teens are waiting. His device beeps.)

BILLY- Okay, we only have a few minutes to do this. It’s time.

TRAVIS- Billy, what if we don’t get the crystal?

JOSH- Yea, what if we choke?

BILLY- Why do you guys have so little faith in yourselves? If you were not meant to be Rangers, then my device’s scan would not have chosen you. You will succeed. You just have to have faith! …Okay, the power we have now is old, and doesn’t really stand a chance against Zedd…but there are six of you. I want you to work as a team and you will achieve these powers.

(Now, the portal with Lucious Zedd and Finster opens up.)

LUCIOUS ZEDD- Ahh. All these years of preparation will finally pay off! So… this is the location of the Second crystal, Is it not, Finster? (Finster teleports in)

FINSTER- Why it is, my prince!

LUCIOUS ZEDD- Very good. And after this crystal I will have enough power to destroy this Earth and all its inhabitants!

(As Lucious and Finster continue their conversation, Billy and the teens make sure they are well hidden. )

LUCIOUS ZEDD- Excellent. How much time is left until the portal opens?

FINSTER- According to this device, it will be here in less than one minute!

LUCIOUS ZEDD- Very good. Now, let us go inside the cave a prepare ourselves to retrieve the crystal. We must be quick, or the portal will close and we will have to re-track it using your device.

(Billy now stands up, the others follow his lead)

BILLY- Okay…It’s time. Travis you’re the leader…all you have to do is say the magic words…

(Travis pulls out his coin, as do the other teens. Automatically, morphers appear in their hands with the coins inside them)

DYLAN- Woa…

TRAVIS- Okay…here goes… (He takes a deep breath) …IT’S MORPHIN’ TIME! (they hold their morphers up towards the camera. The morphing montage begins)

JOSH- Black Ranger Power!

JESSICA- Pink Ranger Power!

KYLE- Blue Ranger Power!

SHA- Yellow Ranger Power!

DYLAN- Red Ranger Power!

TRAVIS- White Ranger Power! (montage ends)

FINSTER- Sir! Look straight ahead!

LUCIOUS- What?! It can’t be!! Power Rangers!

FINSTER- My device was wrong?? I don’t understand this! There can’t be any Power Rangers!!

TRAVIS- I’m afraid so!

KYLE- Yea and if you want the crystal…you’ll have to go through us!

(Billy whispers to his self.)

BILLY- Ooh… easy there, Kyle. Don’t make him think you have a death wish!

LUCIOUS- Oh…wow! Gee! Do I have to? (Lucious raises his hand and a surge of power knocks Kyle, the blue ranger down)

JESSICA- Kyle! (She runs over to him)

LUCIOUS- Which one of you wants it next? How about….YOU!! (He then knocks Josh, the black ranger down. Lucious gives off a sinister laugh.) Ha ha…I’ll crush you all.

****END OF SEGMENT THREE****

the story is great jessica. i think you remembered that when the wind rangers didn't know how to morph you added that element to be a good element. i think you might have also added yourself in the story as the pink ranger right?

(The portal with the crystal now opens)

LUCIOUS- Finster…get the crystal.

FINSTER- Yes, my prince!

LUCIOUS- And as for you retarded Rangers…I’m going to have A LOT of fun with you… I know…I’ll bust out some old-school putties…just for you!

(Lucious raises his staff to the sky, and about 50 of Rita’s old putties appear before the Rangers)

LUCIOUS- …Crush them!

(all 50 putties make their way to the Rangers)

JESSICA- I don’t like these odds! What are we going to do?

TRAVIS- Protect the crystal…at all costs! The other rangers and I will take care of these… "putties".

JESSICA- Alright! I’m on it! (she goes inside the cave to stop Finster)

SHA- Be careful, Jessica!

(cuts to inside the cave)

FINSTER- According to these coordinates…the crystal should be right…over…(he comes into a damp room….across from him lies the crystal…glowing) There! Now…that was easy enough.

(Billy then walks out, guarding the crystal from Finster)

BILLY- I’m afraid you’ve just spoken too soon.

FINSTER- You! I know you! You are one of the original Power Rangers! We’ve tried for years to destroy you and your friends!

BILLY- That’s good. You have a good memory. Now leave the crystal alone.

FINSTER- I’m afraid not, ex-ranger. That crystal is coming with me! (two putties appear. One on each side) Get him out of my way!

(the putties begin attacking Billy, and start pinning him against the walls of the cave giving Finster an opportunity to grab the crystal.)

FINSTER- Ah! The crystal! It is magnificent…isn’t it? (Finster walks up to Billy, who is pinned down, and waves the crystal in front of his face) This will be more than enough power to destroy you…your ridiculous Power Ranger recruits, your family, and the entire world! Too bad you couldn’t stop us.

(Jessica creeps up behind Finster and snatches the crystal.)

JESSICA- Really? Well I guess we just did!

FINSTER- No! Where did you come from? This is not the way it is supposed to happen!

JESSICA- Get out of my way! (She knocks Finster aside. And gets out her blade blaster, which is in blade form and gets the putties off of Billy) Come on, Billy! Let’s get to the others so we can get out of here!!

(She turns around and Lucious is right behind her…in her face.)

LUCIOUS- Hello, pretty pink ranger. You know…stealing is wrong. Especially when you steal from ME!

(Lucious grabs Jessica at the throat and slowly raises her up in the air. She drops the crystal. Then Kyle comes running and tries to knock Lucious down)

KYLE- Let her go!

(His attempt succeeds, but now Lucious’ next target is him. Billy quickly gets into the line of fire to pick up the crystal, then runs into a dark area of the cave. He types in something in his device which tracks down the six teens.)

BILLY- Alright! I have them locked in! (He pushes another button, which teleports him and the six rangers back to his basement. )

(Lucious stands…not knowing what happened.)

LUCIOUS- What? They disappeared! NO!! They have the crystal!!

FINSTER- I am sorry sir! I tried to get the crystal but

LUCIOUS- Silence! …there is nothing we can do now…they have it…(Lucious is glowing with anger…but you can tell he is trying to control that anger)

FINSTER- I’m so sorry, sir!

LUCIOUS- Enough whining, Finster. We will have our victory another day. Let’s go.

FINSTER- Uh…okay….yes sir. (Finster follows along, not understanding why Lucious is taking defeat so well.)

(scene goes back to Billy’s basement. The teens are standing around, still morphed with their helmets off.
Billy is standing right in the middle of the room with Alpha, who place the crystal in some sort of a machine.)

BILLY- Okay, all of you…give me your power coins. (The do so, and he places each one on a special compartment on the machine. The crystal begins to spin around, and glows brighter than ever before)

SHA- Billy, what exactly are you doing?

BILLY- I am making your coins much more powerful. More advanced. So if Lucious attacks the city…you’ll have plenty of power to stop him.

DYLAN- Wow, That Lucious guy was one scary looking dude!

JOSH- Yea, tell me about it!

JESSICA- And not to mention that he has a killer death grip.

(the crystal then slows down…then eventually stops. Billy takes the power coins out and each of them are glowing…their individual colors.)

BILLY- Here…put your coins back in your morphers. (They do so…and immediately the room lit up. Each of the rangers’ costumes were transforming. Now, they all had armored-up suits, identical to the ones on MMPR:TM.)

SHA- Oh man, these suits are awesome!

KYLE- Wow! Billy, you weren’t kidding! These powers are jacked up!

BILLY- Wow…I didn’t realize the suits would change…but they do look prodigeous.

TRAVIS- For saving us, and giving us these cool powers!

BILLY- You’re welcome. They served me and my friends well…I know they’ll do the same for you.

(As Billy calls out each ranger’s zord, a visual of that zord appears on Billy’s computer screens)

BILLY- Travis…you will power the White Falconzord and the White Shogunzord alongside Jessica. Dylan, you will power the Red ninja Ape zord and the Red Shogunzord. Sha, you will power the Yellow Ninja Bear Zord and the Yellow Shogunzord. Kyle, you will power the Blue Ninja Wolf Zord and the Blue Shogunzord. Jessica, you will power the Pink Ninja Crane Zord and the White Shogunzord, alonside Travis. And Josh, you will power the Black Ninja Frog Zord and the Black Shogunzord.

TRAVIS- Awesome!

ALPHA- Now…here are the rules. Never use your power for personal gain. Never escalate a battle unless Lucious forces you, and finally…keep your identities secret. No one may know you are a Power Ranger.

DYLAN- Sounds simple enough! You can count on me!

TRAVIS- Yea, me too!

SHA- You know it!

JOSH- This is an experience of a lifetime. I’m game!

JESSICA- Yea!

KYLE- Wow…this is amazing!

BILLY- And so here you are. The Mighty Morphin Advanced Rangers…

(Billy puts his hand out before them, and each then lay their hand on top. Then all of them shout "Power Rangers!!" as they leap into the air.

***CUE ON MMPR:ADVANCED ENDING THEME AND CREDITS***
