Power Rangers Gamma Strike
The Dragonic Hunter, part 1
Darren walked into one room of the Battle Star. For some reason, only Jade was there. The others must have gone somewhere, but there were no indicators to where they went.
“Where did the others go?” Darren asked.
“Ted and Nick are searching the city in case Tiamat shows up again, but it may be best for us to stay here. They are searching the city because Tiamat doesn’t show up on the energy radar.”
“He can’t be detected?” asked Darren, shocked, “What about Lauren and Glen?”
“After Lauren seemed to be worried about Glen last time, do you really have to ask?” Jade replied.
“I was asking where they were, not what they were doing,” Darren muttered to himself. However, he knew this could still be a bad sign, considering the team was now split up even though the last monster to attack them had been able to inflict severe pain on the team.
* * *
Tiamat was watching with interest, as the Rangers were no longer in one group. He knew he could easily beat the Yellow and Silver Rangers, who had probably been sent together so they could still use Gamma Hunter if they needed to.
It wouldn’t do them any good. Tiamat wouldn’t have to grow to beat the two of them, but he did have an idea for if the others showed up. As the new Giganoid General, he had already decided on which Giganoid would be the one to fight the Zords of the remaining four Rangers.
* * *
“I have another Torinoid I would like to send in to finish off the Rangers,” Cravex suggested, this time he would surely finish off the Rangers.
“That’s a good idea, but someone else has already prepared to attack,” Darkstorm replied, pointing to Tiamat.
“What? But he’s not even part of our original empire!” Cravex shouted, drawing his axe. He lifted the axe blade to Tiamat’s neck. Tiamat didn’t seem to care. Cravex slammed the blade into Tiamat’s neck. This caused the blade to detach from the rest of the axe and fly across the room.
“Tiamat has come far closer to defeating the Rangers the one time he faced them than you ever have,” replied Darkstorm, seeming annoyed with Cravex’s attempt to prove himself. Cravex ran out of the command room in an attempt to come up with some kind of countermeasure to make him the most powerful General again.
* * *
As Tiamat already knew where the Yellow and Silver Rangers were, he attacked them directly, knowing it wouldn’t take long for the rest of the Gamma Rangers to show up.
“Gamma power!” the two heroes called. Tiamat laughed as they charged at him, attempting to cause him harm with their Gamma Chargers, although Tiamat continued to stand through this, unharmed.
“You already know you cannot defeat me!” laughed Tiamat, blasting both heroes with blasts of flame. They fell to the ground from this assault.
“Silver Dune Buggy, online!” Gamma Silver ordered. Boarding his vehicle, he charged at Tiamat and fired laser blasts from the Silver Dune Buggy. He was unfazed by the shots and laughed as they struck him harmlessly.
“I already told you that you cannot defeat me, but I guess you had to try anyways!” Tiamat shouted, grabbing the front of the Silver Dune Buggy and flipping it over.
“Yellow Mega Battle, activate!” Gamma Yellow called. Energising his circular saw, he sliced Tiamat three times across the chest. Tiamat didn’t react to the attacks much. He fired a lightning blast point blank, striking Gamma Yellow and throwing him into a nearby building.
“Hammer Strike, full power!” Gamma Yellow shout, as he got back to his feet and charged. He slammed his hammer, pulsating with energy, into Tiamat’s head. Tiamat seemed to take a step back from the impact. Grabbing Gamma Yellow by the neck, he hurled him at a different building. Gamma Yellow was sent through the wall.
Now temporarily left alone, Gamma Silver prepared to take on this new General.
“Silver Mega Battle, online!” Gamma Silver called, hoping to have more luck than last time.
“That didn’t work before, and you have to reason to believe it will work now! And you aren’t worthy of showing any dragonic symbol!” Tiamat shouted, easily cleaving through the chest armour of the Silver Mega Battle. Gamma Silver staggered back. As he prepared to charge, Tiamat fired an electric energy barrier and used it to throw Gamma Silver into a nearby wall.
Gamma Silver was weakened by this attack. Unless Gamma Yellow would recover soon, this battle would be over easily. Not that it would make much of a difference. Tiamat had beaten their whole team with ease last time.
“Wing Razor!” Gamma Yellow called. As the wings of his Mega Battle charged up, he flew towards Tiamat, who threw him into Gamma Silver, causing both Mega Battles to disengage.
“I guess this ended fast,” Tiamat laughed.
* * *
Darren and Jade had been watching this battle, shocked. This new system, one that had been designed to help track Tiamat, would be activated when team members were in danger. Darren sent a signal through; hoping it would alert Lauren and Glen.
“Gamma power!” Jade and Darren called; hoping the others would be there too.
* * *
Gamma Red and Gamma White arrived on the battlefield.
“Even the four of you cannot defeat me! I beat your whole team by myself last time, this time shall be even easier!” Tiamat shouted.
“We’re not split up!” Gamma Blue shouted, blasting Tiamat with her Gamma Charger, even though it didn’t harm him.
“Now you’re going to regret coming to attack me,” Tiamat shouted as he prepared to attack, “Shadow Hunter, destroy them!”
Tiamat fired a beam that became a Giganoid. He had a bow with an unlimited supply of ammunition for his left hand; a crossbow took the place of his right hand.
“What’s that?” asked Gamma Red.
“Well, I guess my first Giganoid is very different to Virulina’s Giganoids, but they’ll still destroy you all!” Tiamat shouted.
“Gamma Knight, ready!” Gamma Red, Gamma Blue and Gamma White called, boarding their Megazord and preparing for battle.
“You’ll never defeat me like that!” Shadow Hunter laughed, blasting Gamma Knight back with crossbow bolts. Gamma Knight staggered and it seemed like he could be beaten. This wasn’t surprising; even the second Giganoid had been able to beat Gamma Knight, never mind the fifth.
“Gamma Hunter-” Gamma Silver and Gamma Yellow called, but were interrupted when Tiamat blasted them.
“You won’t save the others from Shadow Hunter,” explained Tiamat, preparing to attack again.
Tiamat then charged forwards, cleaving into his three opponents with his staff. They staggered back.
“Can we use the Gamma Cannon?” Gamma Silver asked.
“It will cause a risk, with only three of us using it,” Gamma Yellow informed him. The three heroes used the Gamma Cannon anyway. However, as they prepared to fire, the feedback sent them flying and the shot missed Tiamat completely.
“You’re obviously not very good at stopping monsters,” Tiamat observed, “How did you hold out against the rest of Darkstorm’s forces for so long?”
The three Rangers prepared to charge again. Suddenly the ground shook as Shadow Hunter hurled Gamma Knight to the ground hard.
“Now what will you do?” asked Tiamat, preparing for the counter-attack. They obviously couldn’t harm him, but he doubted they would leave the other half of their team to die.
“Glen, help the others,” Gamma Silver instructed.
“Right,” Gamma Gold replied, “Thunder Coyote, online!”
The Thunder Coyote appeared, heading towards Shadow Hunter as Tiamat continued to beat up Gamma Yellow and Gamma Silver.
“Thunder Cannon!” Gamma Gold ordered, as Thunder Coyote fired Gamma Sphere from his mouth. The Gamma Sphere hit Shadow Hunter from behind hard, but he wasn’t bothered too much by this. He fired a flaming arrow, which collided with Thunder Coyote and caused multiple explosions that tossed the Carrier Zord through the air.
“You’ll never succeed!” Tiamat shouted, firing yet another blast, one which hit Gamma Yellow hard and flung him against another wall. However, this time when he hit, he fell to the ground, demorphing.
“You’ll never defeat us!” Gamma Silver shouted, desperately attacking Tiamat, although he resisted the attacks easily and threw Gamma Silver back with multiple strikes.
“Of course I can beat you!” Tiamat shouted, firing a huge flame blast that struck Gamma Silver, throwing him into the same wall. Gamma Silver also demorphed. Tiamat laughed, vanishing from the battlefield.
Gamma Knight now readied the Utahraptor Blade. The three pilots felt odd as they hadn’t done this in a long time, but that was how desperate the situation had become. Gamma Knight charged forward, energising the blade to strike. None of the pilots were surprised when the Utahraptor Blade failed to defeat Shadow Hunter.
“Guys, Thunder Coyote is back online!” Gamma Gold informed the others, blasting Shadow Hunter with lightning strikes. Shadow Hunter, however, laughed as he was hit the lightning. He charged over and kicked Thunder Coyote, flinging the Carrier Zord back.
“We’ve got to bring him down!” Gamma Red shouted.
“Mosasaur Crossbow, online!” Gamma Blue shouted. The Mosasaur Crossbow appeared, ready for use.
“Fire!” the three called, blasting Shadow Hunter and hurling him back, but he still stood, although the crossbow bolt had done some severe harm to him.
“I’ll return and finish you off!” Shadow Hunter shouted as he vanished into thin air, leaving the Rangers alive, but defeated.
