Power Rangers Gamma Strike
The First Strike
Cindar slammed his club into Gamma Yellow, sending him staggering back. No sooner did this happen than Gamma Gold blasted Reekon and Mortdred with his Gamma Charger.
“Gold Ranger!” Tiamat shouted as he appeared on the battlefield. He unleashed a hail of flames at Gamma Gold, blasting him back. Gamma Gold was injured and sent rolling along the ground. Tiamat laughed as the hero struggled to get back to his feet.
“Where did he come from?” asked Gamma Red, shocked that a new General seemed to have appeared.
“Rangers, don’t confuse me for those other Generals that were pathetically easy for me to defeat!” Tiamat laughed, blasting everyone back with golden lightning, including his own side.
“Why are you attacking us?” Mortdred asked, shocked by the assault from one of his own team.
“It is of little consequence who dies in this battle, as long as the Gamma Rangers also die!” shouted Tiamat as he charged in.
“Silver Mega Battle, online!”
“Red Mega Battle, online!”
“Blue Mega Battle, online!”
“Yellow Mega Battle, online!”
“White Mega Battle, online!”
“Is that the best you can do?” Tiamat asked, laughing as he cleaved into the assembled group of heroes. Cindar, Cravex, Lexor and Mortdred fell back, shocked that this new General was defeating the Rangers so effectively.
Gamma Silver charged up his shoulder cannon, preparing to fire on Tiamat. He laughed at this display, using his lightning blast to hold Gamma Silver in place.
“You have no place using dragonic armour,” Tiamat muttered, “You using dragonic armour is an insult to all dragons everywhere!”
Tiamat then sliced the wing clean off the Silver Mega Battle, blasting Gamma Silver and hurling him into a wall.
“Mega Battle Tank, online!” the remaining four Rangers shouted. They had to do something that would at least cause Tiamat the slightest bit of harm. The four Mega Battles joined together and the tank flew towards Tiamat.
Tiamat drew his twin-bladed staff and sliced through the center of the Mega Battle Tank, sending the four Rangers flying. They demorphed when they hit the ground.
“Now you’ll see real power,” Tiamat laughed, growing to giant size. He blasted Gamma Silver, causing him to demorph.
“Grand Liopleurodon, online!” Gamma Gold shouted, activating Grand Liopleurodon while the others returned to the Battle Star.
Grand Liopleurodon then charged at Tiamat. The other villains meanwhile had vanished back to their base no that their assistance wasn’t needed.
Tiamat struck Grand Liopleurodon multiple times, each time cleaving through his armour and inflicting heavy damage. Grand Liopleurodon fell to the ground, greatly injured from the constant assault.
Tiamat then unleashed his Hell Flame, blasting Grand Liopleurodon and causing a gigantic explosion.
“Now no one shall ever challenge us again!” Tiamat shouted, vanishing from the battlefield.
Glen soon retreated from the battlefield. He was injured and he didn’t know if Grand Liopleurodon would survive.
* * *
Tiamat was now alone in one section of the ship. It didn’t bother him that the other villains weren’t here, in fact, it suited his purpose.
Tiamat searched for something and soon found it. It appeared to be a communication device of some kind.
“This is Tiamat, Darkstorm accepts me as part of his forces and I shall soon begin part two of my plan.” Tiamat spoke into the device.
“Of course, Tiamat. Do any of his forces suspect what’s about to happen?” asked the voice on the other end.
“Not as far as I know. They seem grateful that I can defeat the heroes of this dimension with ease,” Tiamat replied.
“Of course. We are working on the process of sending our troops through to the dimension you are currently in, but we don’t know how long it will take for the final stage to begin.” The voice replied.
“Don’t worry, we shall get what we came for,” Tiamat replied, turning off the device just as some footsteps were heard coming towards the room.
“What’s going on?” Reekon asked as he entered the room.
“Nothing you need to be concerned with,” Tiamat laughed.
“But, someone else was here!” Reekon shouted, wondering who Tiamat had been talking to.
“It’s nothing you need to worry about,” Tiamat laughed as he walked off.
* * *
Tiamat entered his lab and walked over to a table. Lexor and Virulina lay on the table, clearly neither of them had recovered even slightly.
“At last, my plan will begin completion,” Tiamat laughed as he drove his staff clean through the emblem of an armadillo on Lexor’s chest. It shattered, Lexor’s life energy beginning to leave. Taking out another device, Tiamat used it to absorb the life energy.
“Now my plan shall come together,” Tiamat muttered as he sent the life energy into Virulina and then teleported her away.
* * *
Virulina teleported into the city, already giant sized. Tentacles sprouted from various places.
* * *
“Something resembling Virulina’s energy signature and changing by the second is here!” shouted Darren.
Glen thought about this. He was injured, Grand Liopleurodon perhaps unusable. Sometimes, when he had been here alone, he had detected a heroic energy signature, but it was hidden. He quietly left.
“Right,” Ted agreed, “We’ve got to – where’s Glen?”
“We’ve got to where’s Glen?” Nick asked, laughing.
“No, Glen’s definitely gone!” Jade pointed out.
“Should we find him first and then destroy Virulina?” asked Lauren.
“No, Virulina is a threat to hundreds,” Darren replied.
“But Glen’s injured and his Megazord is out of commission,” Jade said, “What if he went to destroy Virulina alone?”
“If any of us stay behind,” Darren said, “We can’t form Gamma Chimera.”
“But if we don’t assume the worst, then – ” Lauren started, but was cut off.
“No, we’ve got to finish Virulina off now. She must be pissed that we almost finished her last time!” shouted Darren.
“Then let’s use Gamma Chimera,” Lauren said, “But as soon as we complete the combination, I’m leaving to search for Glen.” The Rangers headed out of the Battle Star, reluctantly in Lauren’s case.
* * *
Gamma Chimera arrived in Denham, ready to take on Virulina, or at least, what had once been Virulina.
Gamma Chimera charged into battle. Sure enough, Lauren had left her cockpit after the formation. She had gone back to the Battle Star to begin searching for Glen.
“Artillery Barrage!” Gamma Red shouted, immediately going for the Megazord’s finisher. The blasts struck Virulina who merely laughed.
“You failed to finish both of us last time and now you’re going to suffer for your failure!” Virulina shouted, in a mixture of her own voice and Lexor’s.
“What’s going on?” Gamma Silver asked shocked that this monster appeared to be two Generals combined.
“Don’t you realise how outdated Gamma Chimera is?” asked Virulina, “You’ve been able to form many more powerful combinations and yet you bore me with this one!”
Virulina then threw locked her trident together with Lexor’s grappling hook. She threw the combined weapon and impaled Gamma Chimera. Then she sent energy through the chain, increasing the damage.
“You really are pathetic, heroes!” Virulina shouted, throwing the Gamma Chimera into a building.
“You’ll never achieve victory that easily!” Gamma Blue shouted as she arrived in the Battle Star Megazord and blasted Virulina.
“Lauren? You’re back? But then-” Darren started, just before a huge coyote leapt at Virulina, knocking her down.
“This is the Thunder Coyote,” Gamma Gold said, “It has the ability to combine with the Gamma Chimera!”
“Then let’s do that,” Gamma Red ordered, as the two locked together.
“Gamma Mega Chimera, online! Fire!” Gamma Gold ordered, blasting Virulina to pieces with massed firepower from Gamma Mega Chimera.
* * *
Tiamat laughed as all that was left of Lexor and Virulina was obliterated. They would have recovered in time anyway. Since he hadn’t been sure how long it would’ve taken them to recover, it was a good thing he’d ensured their destruction. It stopped them from wrecking his plans.
The Rangers now had a Carrier Zord, or so it seemed, but it didn’t really matter. They couldn’t do any real damage to him at this rate. They had the power available to harm him, but by the time the Gamma Rangers had realised they had the power to destroy him, his allies would already be in this dimension and would finish heroes off for good.
