Power Rangers Gamma Strike
The Ambush, part 3
It was a few days after the defeat of Virulina and the first appearance of the Rising Gundam.
Virulina still lay in that warehouse; she was injured to the point that she wasn’t even breathing. However, someone else appeared in the room. Whoever this was then walked over to the defeated General.
“Its odd that I find another of their group,” the newcomer muttered, “But I guess the Rangers won’t give up so easily. Perhaps they will even launch another attack on Darkstorm’s base, after they destroy Cindar’s Gundam of course.”

“With Virulina’s defeat, we may still have trouble preparing to finish off the Rangers,” Darkstorm informed the others.
“I can continue to wear them down with the Rising Gundam,” Cindar suggested.
“Of course you could,” replied Darkstorm, “But if Virulina is beaten then the risk to this side would increase if they defeat you and the Rising Gundam.”
“Then maybe we should send Reekon in the Rising Gundam,” suggested Cravex.
“Of course, he’s expendable, I mean, loyal,” said Darkstorm.

The Rising Gundam appeared in Denham and began blasting the nearby buildings, causing heavy damage to some of them.
“At last, the Gamma Rangers shall be defeated!” shouted Reekon as he prepared the attack, “I guess Darkstorm had the right idea when he chose me to pilot this mecha for my competence, intelligence and fighting skills!”

“He has no idea why you really chose him, does he?” Cindar asked.
“No,” Darkstorm replied.
* * *
“The Rising Gundam is attacking again,” Darren said.
“But there’s just the three of us here,” commented Lauren.
“Then we’ll have to stop it alone,” Darren replied.
“Gamma power!” Darren, Lauren and Jade called.

Gamma Knight appeared in Denham, ready to stop Reekon and the Rising Gundam. The Rising Gundam drew its blade as it prepared to attack.

Suddenly a dragonic figure appeared onboard Darkstorm’s ship. He walked over to one room and set down two people he was carrying. They were unconscious. Then he continued walking to the command room.

“Darkstorm, I believe one of your Generals was defeated recently,” Darkstorm heard a voice tell him.
“Who are you?” Darkstorm asked.
“I am General Tiamat. I am here to assist you by taking the place of the recently-defeated General.” General Tiamat said, walking into clear view for the first time.
“You’re not part of my army,” Darkstorm muttered.
“Of course not,” General Tiamat replied, “However, if you want me to be, I can be part of your army. You seem to be short one General.”
“I am short one General,” Darkstorm admitted, “However, I am unable to tell whether I can trust you.”
“I guess that’s your problem alone,” General Tiamat laughed, “If I have to leave here without becoming part of your forces, then you will always be short on forces, considering how there is no one to lead your Giganoids.”
“You may have a point there,” Darkstorm said, beginning to wonder if he should trust this strange arrival who seemed to want to be part of his forces.
“What’s going on?” Cindar asked as he arrived in the room.
“Cindar, this is General Tiamat, who I assume wants to become our new General, in place of Virulina.”
“But no one can replace Virulina,” muttered Cindar, but no one seemed to notice. Darkstorm seemed interested in the possibility that his forces would consist of six again.
“With this sudden change, we are back to full power,” Darkstorm muttered, “Cindar, my concerns about you and the Rising Gundam now seem more secure! You may go to Denham and take Reekon’s place in the Gundam’s cockpit!”
“Of course,” Cindar muttered, vanishing as he teleported away, Reekon appearing on the ship a few seconds later.

“Now we’ll see how easy it is to defeat you!” Cindar laughed, blasting away at Gamma Knight. Gamma Knight staggered and then fell to the ground.
“We’re going to need help with this one! The Rising Gundam was easy before though!” Gamma Red shouted, in shock.
“Pachycephalosaur Hammer, activate!” Gamma White called.
“Ichthyosaur Drill, activate!” Gamma Blue called.
“Combine! Drill Hammer!” Gamma Red ordered, combining the two. Gamma Knight now held the Drill Hammer ready.
“That won’t be able to stop me!” Cindar shouted as he continued his attack. The hammer end of the Drill Hammer collided with Rising Gundam’s blade, shattering the blade into pieces but damaging the Pachycephalosaur Hammer in the process. It vanished back to the Battle Star while the Ichthyosaur Drill locked onto Gamma Knight’s knee.
“Ichthyosaur Strike, full power!” ordered Gamma Blue as the drill charged up and speared through rising Gundam’s chest. Rising Gundam crashed to the ground, seriously wounded.
Rising Gundam slowly stood back up as Gamma Knight prepared for the next attack. The Utahraptor Blade appeared in his hand and he charged forward, using it to impale the already damaged section of Rising Gundam, causing more explosions. Rising Gundam had a hole clean through his chest. Cindar began laughing even though the Gamma Rangers seemed to be beating him quite easily.
The cannon mounted on Rising Gundam’s shield then fired multiple rounds, blasting Gamma Knight backwards a few steps.
“Dimetrodon Disk Launcher, activate!” Gamma White called, the Dimetrodon Disk Launcher attaching to Gamma Knight’s shoulder and firing multiple disks, striking Rising Gundam, although his shield stopped the attacks.
“Mosasaur Crossbow, activate!” Gamma Blue called, blasting Rising Gundam with the Crossbow.
“As you can see, your attacks are unable to finish me off!” Cindar laughed as the bolts tore off Rising Gundam’s left shoulder pad, “Now how are you going to beat me?”
Gamma Knight staggered back, as the Utahraptor Blade, Mosasaur Crossbow and Dimetrodon Disk Launcher vanished back to the Battle Star.
“Now you’ll see my full power!” Cindar shouted, energising the Rising Gundam to launch the Rising Arrow. Sure enough, he fired the Rising Arrow, slamming into Gamma Knight’s chest and throwing him into some buildings, destroying them completely. Gamma Knight remained on the ground, with Rising Gundam closing in, until suddenly a lightning blast destroyed Rising Gundam’s cannon-shield.
“What’s going on?” asked Cindar, before being blasted back by Grand Liopleurodon and Gamma Hunter. Gamma Knight slowly stood.
“If we can form Gamma Chimera, we can defeat him!” Gamma Red suddenly realised.
“Quetzalcoatlus Winger, activate!” Gamma Red and Gamma Yellow shouted as Gamma Knight and Gamma Hunter began to launch the Quetzalcoatlus Winger.
“You won’t be doing that!” Cindar shouted, Rising Gundam grabbing Gamma Sphere 08.
“Sorry Cindar, but everything is going exactly as planned!” Gamma Gold shouted, Grand Liopleurodon blasting the hole Gamma Knight made with his Kronosaur Cannon, already deployed, causing yet more damage! Rising Gundam dropped Gamma Sphere 08. The Quetzalcoatlus Winger formed.
“Gamma Chimera, online!” all the heroes, with the exception of Gamma Gold called, “Artillery Barrage!”
“Crap!” Cindar shouted as the attack devastated Rising Gundam. He teleported away, leaving the Gundam to its fate.
“The Ichthyosaur Drill is still attached to the knee,” Gamma Blue stated.
“Ichthyosaur Strike!” the five called, using a powered-up version of the normal Ichthyosaur Strike. First they used the Artillery Barrage, then did the normal Ichthyosaur Strike right through it, absorbing it into the drill. When this hit rising Gundam it completely obliterated the evil mecha.

The Rangers were very tired from the recent attacks, but were also glad they were over for now.

General Tiamat had been introduced to Mortdred, Reekon and Cravex. They had initially been shocked but now they rejoiced in the knowledge that they were back to full power. Cravex had been worried that Gamma Silver had beaten him in one hit, but he knew that Tiamat’s was now the most powerful General and probably wouldn’t be hurt much, if at all, by the Silver Mega Battle.
General Tiamat, however, had been watching each of the battles that had happened when the three Generals had tried to attack together. It seemed to be the hardest battle the Gamma Rangers had been in. However, General Tiamat also thought the attempt was nowhere near what it would have taken to beat the Gamma Rangers. He would attack them himself, as he knew he could do far better than the last attempt to stop the Rangers had done. It wouldn’t be long now, before he would begin his assault and destroy the Gamma Rangers.
