Power Rangers – Gamma Strike
The Hunt Continues, part 2
“The Gamma Hunter is back?” Darren asked, surprised, as he hadn’t expected the Gamma Hunter to have returned to full power so fast. The Gamma Hunter truly seemed to be the most powerful opponents so far, but if they had beaten him before, they could beat him now.
“Gamma power!” the three heroes called.

Lexor knew the evil Rangers would almost certainly win their fight, but as it wasn’t certain, he decided to make sure they would win the battle. With some luck, his next Torinoid would pull off this mission, as he was created with a specific purpose in mind. Lexor saw no reason why the Torinoid would fail to stop heroic Rangers.
Lexor then walked into Darkstorm’s command room, ready to begin the next stage of destroying the heroes for good.
“Darkstorm, although my evil Rangers are winning, I have a new Torinoid I want to send into the battle.” Lexor explained.
“Go ahead, we’re winning anyway, even though that Torinoid would probably end up being destroyed just like every other Torinoid you send,” Darkstorm said and Lexor signalled for the Torinoid to teleport away. Suddenly a strange device appeared in the center of the room. It fired teleportation beams that caused Virulina and Cindar to appear. Now all three Generals were reunited.

The Torinoid, Scopeshot, appeared where the heroes were about to confront Gamma Hunter again. A sniper rifle appeared in his hand, which was somewhat odd, as it had been a while since Lexor had sent in a Torinoid who used weapons.
“Gamma Knight, arise!” the three heroes called, as their Megazord formed and stood ready to take on Gamma Hunter for the third time. Both Megazords stood ready to take each other on once again.
“This time you will all fall!” Gamma Gold shouted, Gamma Hunter charging and striking the enemy Megazord a few times, causing Gamma Knight to be knocked back. Gamma Knight kicked Gamma Hunter in the chest.
“Utahraptor Blade, activate!” called Gamma Red. The first Gamma Sphere activated, the two evil Rangers apparently forgetting to steal it. Gamma Hunter slammed his shoulder into Gamma Knight’s chest, throwing him back a few steps. Gamma Knight threw his sword and it hit Gamma Hunter and knocked him back slightly, although it didn’t take him long to strike back, multiple hits tearing into Gamma Knight. The Utahraptor Blade fell from Gamma Knight’s hand, hit the ground and vanished.
“You seem very slow using your own Gamma Sphere,” Gamma Yellow pointed out, and hoping the villains would continue not to use it even though he mocked them. At this rate they had a chance of winning.
“We have a reason for not using our Gamma Sphere, but you’ll never be around long enough to find out!” Gamma Silver laughed.
“We’ll bring you down without difficulty,” Gamma Blue replied.
“We’ve beaten you before,” Gamma Red added.
“We beat each other at the same time. We’ve been victorious once and you haven’t,” Gamma Gold replied.
“Then we’ll take you down for good,” Gamma Yellow said.
“Meteor Fist!” Gamma Red called.
“Tylosaur Strike!” Gamma Blue called. Both fists charged up and struck Gamma Hunter, throwing him clean off his feet.
“I see you’re improving,” Gamma Silver laughed, as Gamma Hunter’s foot connected with Gamma Knight’s chest, causing him to stumble back. It wouldn’t matter how many times they could take Gamma Hunter off his feet; the villains had their battle plan and were going to continue using it. Gamma Hunter slowly got to his feet.
“You’ll never beat us!” shouted Gamma Red, Gamma Knight slamming multiple blows into Gamma Hunter, although he didn’t seem harmed much, grabbing Gamma Knight and throwing hi, but luckily he landed on his feet. He charged back into the battle, slamming Gamma Hunter back.
“You seem reluctant you use your Gamma Spheres too,” laughed Gamma Gold.
“Not any more!” Gamma Red shouted, as the Gamma Sphere port began to open.
“I see our plan worked!” Gamma Silver shouted, Gamma Hunter following the heroes’ actions, his Gamma Sphere port firing a beam, which interlocked it with that f Gamma Knight. Gamma Spheres 01, 02, 03 and 05 were sucked over to Gamma Hunter, who now stood with the Axe Crusher in his right hand and Pachycephalosaur Hammer in his left.
“This won’t be good,” Gamma Yellow pointed out, as Gamma Knight leapt into the air, slamming both weapons into Gamma Knight’s head. The Deinonichus Zord exploded; throwing the heroic Rangers to the ground while the Tylosaurus and Ceratosaurus Zords retreated. Gamma Hunter then vanished, the two evil Rangers leaping to the ground.
As the three tried to recover, they noticed the two evil Rangers heading towards them on two Gamma Cycles.
“Gamma Cannon, online!” Darren ordered. They fired their Gamma Cannon, hitting Gamma Silver hard and throwing him off his Gamma Cycle, which then stopped completely. Some kind of darkness seemed to leave Gamma Silver and enter Gamma Gold. He seemed almost completely overpowered by the darkness, which was now almost enveloping him.
“Rangers, when I have control of my new powers I will crush all of you!” Gamma Gold shouted teleporting away.
Scopeshot saw his chance. He fired a single shot from his rifle, striking Gamma Yellow’s Gamma Bazooka and causing it to explode into pieces. Nick fell to the ground, demorphed and injured. Before Scopeshot could shoot again and injure anyone else, Gamma Blue grabbed Nick and Gamma Red grabbed Gamma Silver. Then they both teleported off, taking the injured heroic Rangers with them; they knew Gamma Silver was a heroic Ranger now as they’d seen the darkness leave him.

Gamma Gold reappeared in Darkstorm’s base, along with Scopeshot.
“What happened to Gamma Silver?” Darkstorm asked.
“Gamma Silver was turned good by the Gamma Cannon,” Lexor replied, “Although the Gamma Bazooka was destroyed, so it seems the only thing capable of turning Gamma Gold good is destroyed.”
“That helps, in some ways,” Darkstorm said, “But now won’t there be four Rangers to take down?”
“There will,” Lexor said, “except that the Yellow and Silver Rangers are injured.”
“So it’s just the Gamma Blue and Gamma Red we have to worry about?” asked Darkstorm.
“Of course, although Gamma Gold will take some time to adjust to his new powers.” Lexor replied.
“So how do we finish them off?” asked Darkstorm.
“Continuing with my plan, my Torinoid will return to Denham along with Mortdred and Reekon,” Lexor informed Darkstorm, “I should also point out that we still have the Gamma Hunter and that with the Deinonichus destroyed, they can’t form Gamma Knight.”

Jade had gone to where the destroyed Deinonichus Zord was lying. Darren and Lauren had gone with her, not quite understanding why she wanted to go to the destroyed Zord.
Suddenly, the pieces of the destroyed Deinonichus Zord began glowing and shrunk, entering Jade’s now useless White Flight Ranger Morpher. Darren and Lauren watched, shocked, as the useless Morpher regained power and transformed itself. It now resembled a Gamma Morpher.
“Now, if the others recover soon enough we will have five heroic Rangers fighting against one evil Ranger,” Jade pointed out.
“But we still don’t have a Megazord,” Darren said, wondering what was planned. Was one of the Flight Rangers’ old Megazords going to be used? Did the Flight Rangers even have any remaining Megazords?
Without warning, Scopeshot, Reekon and Mortdred appeared.
“Gamma power!” the three heroes called. They morphed, Gamma White standing between Blue and Red, much to the shock of the villains.
“There may be three heroic Rangers again, but you’ll never stand against us, and soon there won’t be any of you left, the Yellow Ranger was easy enough to take out,” Scopeshot remarked.
“Lightning Blast!” Gamma White shouted, lightning bolts striking Scopeshot repeatedly.
“Tidal Strike!” Gamma Blue used her special powers to strike Mortdred to the ground.
“Inferno Wave!” Gamma Red called, his wave of fire knocking Reekon clean off his feet.
“Gamma Mace!” Gamma Blue called, her crossbow becoming a mace.
“Tidal Crusher!” Energising her mace, Gamma Blue struck Scopeshot to the ground.
“Let’s see you deal with this!” Scopeshot blasted the ground and mysteriously grew.
“Fine, Velociraptor online!” Gamma White called, summoning her Zord, which resembled the Deinonichus except for begin white instead of yellow.
“Gamma Knight, online!” the three called, merging the Velociraptor, Tylosaurus and Ceratosaurus, Gamma Blue boarding Gamma Knight while Gamma White fought Mortdred and Gamma Red fought Reekon.
Gamma Knight punched Scopeshot, causing him to take a few steps back. He seemed annoyed, as if the heroic Megazord were unworthy of hurting him. He fired a single shot from his sniper rifle, the shot piercing Gamma Knight’s knee and knocking him to the floor.
“I see your Megazord is getting killed,” Reekon laughed, as he attempted to impale Gamma Red with his sword, only for Gamma Red to deflect it with his own sword, before firing a shot from his blaster and driving Reekon back.
“Gamma Knight isn’t done yet, but by the time he is, you won’t even be around,” Gamma Red replied, striking with his Inferno Wave again. Gamma White seemed to be defeating Mortdred.
“You’re never going to defeat me with one leg,” mocked Scopeshot, blasting Gamma Knight again, thankfully though, this shot did little damage. Gamma Knight then struck with his Meteor Fist, knocking Scopeshot down, although the damaged knee caused Gamma Knight to be dragged down too.
“We’ve got to fix the damaged knee somehow,” Gamma Blue muttered.
<We can, use Gamma Sphere 06,> The Tylosaurus Zord told Gamma Blue.
“Gamma Sphere 06, online! Ichythosaur Drill, activate!” Gamma Sphere 06 launched an Ichthyosaurus, who locked into the damaged knee, both repairing it and forming a drill. Scopeshot had prepared to aim a shot clean through Gamma Knight’s cockpit, but was shocked as the Megazord began to stand again. The drill began glowing and Gamma Knight charged forwards, the drill piercing clean through Scopeshot and emerging from the back of him. He dropped to the ground before exploding.
“I guess it’s time to leave,” Reekon said.
“Darkstorm and Lexor weren’t hoping for this,” Mortdred muttered, as the two villains teleported away, leaving the Gamma Rangers victorious.

Lauren, Jade and Darren had got back to the Magma Base, where Ted and Nick had begun to recover from their injuries. Now there were five Rangers, but they still needed to get the first five Gamma Spheres back from Glen. It wouldn’t be easy though, as Glen was easily the most powerful of the Gamma Rangers even without his additional powers, and now controlled the Gamma Hunter. If they could only figure out a way to get the Gamma Hunter on their side, they could win this fight. Their situation was better than fifteen minutes ago but they still had a long way to go before they could finish off Darkstorm’s forces.
