Power Rangers Gamma Strike
The Hunt Continues
“The Gamma Hunter seems too powerful,” Darren pointed out. He knew that the Gamma Knight had seemed powerful before, but the fact that Gamma Hunter had beaten Gamma Knight easily meant they wouldn’t easily be able to win this. Furthermore, the Gamma Hunter could even take the remaining Gamma Spheres from them, rendering them in an even worse situation than before. Even with just Gamma Sphere 04 he had knocked the Gamma Knight down and the individual Zords still had yet to recover from the assault.
“I thought the Gamma Zords were all former allies of the Flight Rangers though!” shouted Lauren, frustrated and confused that two Gamma Zords were now fighting against the heroes.
“They were all supposed to be,” David said, “Although, I don’t remember those two. It’s possible, that since Giganotosaurus and Spinosaurus are the second and third greatest predators in the history of Earth, that they might just be fighting for evil because they think they’ll be able to eat the heroic Zords if they win.” He didn’t want to believe that former allies of the Flight Rangers would now be willingly trying to kill the Gamma Rangers and their allies.
“In that case, we’ve got to somehow convince them, that Darkstorm’s forces intend to destroy the Earth,” Nick replied, as he knew they had to beat Darkstorm’s evil Rangers and Zords, but right now it didn’t seem possible.
“Darkstorm’s evil Rangers can’t be invincible,” Nick continued, “At least, I hope they can’t. But if they are and they join our side, then we could beat Darkstorm’s army because, well, they would be invincible, so Darkstorm wouldn’t be able to beat them, and then, we would win.”
“I guess that is very good reasoning, Nick,” Darren said, not understanding Nick’s logic. One minute it seemed he was giving an inspirational speech of some kind, and then he began rambling on.
“Either way, if they destroy this Magma Base, then we won’t have anywhere to live,” Jade pointed out.
“Luckily they show no sign of wanting to destroy the Magma Base.” Darren said, but at the same time, wondering what exactly the evil Rangers did want to do, besides defeating their heroic counterparts, of course.
“It would be helpful if they’d do something to let us find out what it is exactly they’re trying to do,” Lauren said, as she also didn’t know what the two evil Gamma Rangers’ ultimate goal was.
“With luck, we’ll soon know what they want, and more importantly, we could find out how to beat them.” Nick pointed out; knowing things wouldn’t be good if this kept up.
“We’ll begin the process of trying to figure out what they want,” suggested David, as they began searching for anything that could give them information on the evil Rangers.

Lexor knew his latest plan had been a success and that the Rangers would be finished off soon. His Gold and Silver Rangers were easily capable of taking down the heroic Rangers.
However, Virulina and Cindar had vanished somehow and the other villains couldn’t find them. Lexor didn’t mind this, as it meant he would be the only evil General and that meant Darkstorm needed him a lot more than he previously did. Maybe he wouldn’t be able to use Giganoids or evil Zords this way, but at least he would no longer be regarded as useless.
Darkstorm had long since realised that he was short two Generals, although at least Lexor seemed to be beating the Rangers for now. This was surprising – all that had happened was that Virulina did something that actually gave the Rangers a challenge and Lexor seemed to have gone insane. Darkstorm was worried that Lexor may well have taken out his rage on the other two Generals, therefore leaving Darkstorm to rely on him alone. Although Lexor wasn’t a complete failure, if he had disposed of the other Generals then Darkstorm would have to strike him down himself.
No one had spoken much to Gamma Gold or Gamma Silver, although they knew it wouldn’t make much of a difference, for the two seemed uninterested in any villains but Lexor. Darkstorm was worried that if the case that Lexor had disposed of the other Generals, he may be using his two evil Rangers as Generals.
Mortdred and Reekon had mostly been redundant in the recent battles, as they were the weakest of the villains and they knew they could quite easily be defeated. They also knew they would have to keep trying in order to actually be appreciated, for none of the other villains took them seriously.
Lexor entered Darkstorm’s command room with a new plan in mind.
“I take it you’re sending your evil Rangers into battle again,” Darkstorm said.
“My evil Rangers will be a backup plan for my original plan,” Lexor replied, as he had already chosen a Torinoid for this, “Artillablast, come forth!” A strange Torinoid with a ‘mane’ made out of missiles appeared.
“Artillablast is the 4th in my line of Torinoids,” Lexor informed Darkstorm.
“You have two evil Rangers to finish off the heroic ones with but instead you’re sending a Torinoid to fight?” Darkstorm asked, surprised by his General’s plan. Darkstorm knew that Lexor must be crazy to be doing this.
“This Torinoid will serve as a distraction, as I have a device that will allow me to enter the Rangers’ base, and from there I shall make sure we never have to face the threat of the Flight Rangers again!” Lexor shouted.
“Fine, go and finish off the Rangers,” muttered Darkstorm, as his General and the most recent Torinoid vanished.
* * *
“Another Torinoid is attacking Denham,” David pointed out.
“We’ll take this one down,” Nick said, “At least this time they sent a Torinoid and not their evil Rangers.”
“Gamma power!” the heroes called as they morphed, confident that this battle would be easier.
As they vanished, Lexor appeared in the base. Activating their damaged Morphers, Jade and David became the Flight Rangers again, although for how long would be unknown.
Lexor knew this fight wouldn’t be too hard. He charged at the two Rangers, knocking them back. He activated the power of Invincibility as they fired back with everything they had, only for the staff to take the hits and remain intact, although it was out of power.
The Flight Rangers drew their swords and charged. Energising his grappling hook with flame, Lexor sent it into Jade, causing her to drop her blaster as she went flying and demorphed. Surely the last of the White Flight powers were gone. To finish off, Lexor grabbed David and snapped his neck.
Jade noticed the device strapped to Lexor. She thought it could be the thing that allowed him to come in here. The villains must need something special to come in here otherwise they would be doing it all the time. Grabbing her fallen blaster, Jade blasted the device, destroying it and causing Lexor to be teleported out of the Magma Base.

“Gamma Rangers, you will never be able to defeat me!” shouted Artillablast as he fired off his missiles, striking the three Gamma Rangers and knocking them back. They knew they would be in trouble if this kept up, so they had to continue trying. They managed to blast Artillablast with their blasters, although it had no effect.
“As you can see, your powers have no chance of defeating our army!” Artillablast shouted, unleashing more missiles, hitting the group and driving them back yet again. The three Rangers knew they wouldn’t be in this battle for long if this kept up. More recently their fights had begun to get tougher. If they had something to increase their ability to damage their enemies, that should be enough, but it didn’t look like they would get anything else to help them.
“We need the Gamma Cannon,” Gamma Red pointed out, keeping in mind that this was most likely the only thing that would work. The three formed their Gamma Cannon and fired, the shot sending Artillablast clean off his feet, and although he survived he was injured. Furthermore, the missiles that formed his mane exploded, causing more damage to the weakening Torinoid.
“Plasma Strike!” Gamma Yellow shouted, as a yellow lance appeared in his hand. Charging it with plasma energy, he slammed it into Artillablast, throwing the villain back, but he fired off more missiles, shielding him from sight momentarily as he began to grow.
“Gamma Knight, online!” the heroes called, hoping their Megazord would be able to help. For a second nothing happened and they were sure the Gamma Zords were still injured, but then the Gamma Knight came together. Gamma Knight slammed his Meteor Fist into the Torinoid, throwing him back. Artillablast was almost unfazed by this, however, and proceeded to bombard Gamma Knight with missiles.
Gamma Knight continued to stand, however, the missiles doing little damage if any. Activating his Axe Crusher, he charged forwards, ready for the finishing blow. However, Artillablast grabbed Gamma Knight’s arm and flipped him to the ground, the Axe Crusher vanishing.
“We still can’t give up,” Gamma Yellow ordered. Nick knew he had another chance, “Gamma Sphere 05, online! Pachycephalosaur Hammer, activate!” A Gamma Sphere fired a Pachycephalosaurus, who converted into a hammer, landing in Gamma Knight’s hand. With one stroke he destroyed Artillablast.
“It’s amazing how, no matter how badly we’re beating you, you never give up,” Gamma Gold laughed as Gamma Hunter appeared, his Basilosaur Lance already drawn. Gamma Hunter charged at Gamma Knight, slamming the lance into him and almost throwing him clean off his feet.
“With our new Gamma Sphere, you’ll never beat us,” Gamma Yellow replied, the hammer slamming into Gamma Hunter’s chest, almost shattering his armour.
“We’ll have to compensate for that,” Gamma Silver muttered, the tail of the Giganotosaurus attaching to the Basilosaur Lance, forming the Hunter Staff. The Hunter Staff then clashed with the Pachycephalosaur Hammer, both Megazords trying to stay upright. The eyes of Gamma Knight fired laser beams, forcing him back and allowing the heroic Rangers to push the Pachycephalosaur Hammer closer. Gamma Hunter, however, rolled under the hammer, using his staff to keep it in place until the last moment. The hammer sunk into the ground. Gamma Hunter charged, his staff at full power. Gamma Yellow soon got the hammer to swing again, and both Megazords were hit hard and knocked out of formation.
As the Rangers landed and demorphed, Darren watched the two evil Rangers demorph. Ted was now lying where Gamma Silver had been, and Glen was where Gamma Gold had been. Lexor grabbed them both and teleported away, the Gamma Hunter components vanishing too.
* * *
The heroic Rangers finally made it back to the Magma Base. They ran in as they knew something was wrong just from looking at the base, although they couldn’t figure out what it was.
As they arrived in the command room they saw Jade lying on the floor and David was dead.
“Lexor attacked the base,” Jade explained.”
“How?” asked Nick.
“We’ve got bigger problems,” Darren replied, “The Gamma Hunter is back.”
