Okay, I know this chapter is short, but it will get better.
Thank you to all who submitted Rangers.
A Green Ranger Mission.
"The Dragon saga"
part 1.
"The Depths of Hell."
Rain lashed down around the remains of this once proud civillisation. They had been warriors, killers, conquerers of worlds and galaxies alike. Now they were reduced to a mere hndful of rebels.
This was all that was left of them.
This was all that was left of her.
Killed in the line of duty serving her superior.
Killed by a blast that was meant for him.
Worst of all, killed by a traitor.
Both his father and mother had been proud warriors. His grandfather had told him stroies of their conquests throughout the known galaxies, both as a team and as individuals.
But ultimately they had failed in conquering the key link in the chain of galatic domination.
They had failed.
They had failed him.
He would not make that same mistake.
The armour clad warrior approached his communications console and entered a combination of controls. The screen flashed up to reveal another viscious looking warrior...
...and his friend.
"I've been expecting your call." the one on the screen said, "Have you reached your decision?"
"I have. We move tonight."
Earth, the recovering world:
He hadn't been here in so long. The view from these cliffs looking out over the Pacific ocean were spectacular. If he looked hard enough, he could still see the inprints the Megazord had made in the ocean floor six months ago.
He knew why he had hcome back here. He had to let go of his past in order to move into his future.
RJ Jackson, former Green Sonic Ranger of Earth, stopped and stared out over the ocean. Yes, for the first time in a long time, he had something to look forward to.
He had recently been in touch with Dave Connors and Jacqui Kinsella, the only Sonic Rangers who had chosen to stay rangers. He had told them of his marriage to Elaine, the girl they had stopped Cybertron from inhabiting. They had congratulated him with their announcement of their engagement. RJ had the last laugh though. There was a little Cruiser on the way.
He had to say goodbye to his past. He drew out his Soniciser and muttered those famous words under his breath. "Let's go Supersonic."
"What was that?"
He turned to see Elaine, his wife and mother-to-be to his son. She knew of his Ranger past and although shocked at first, she had accepted it.
"I had to say it again," he smirked, "One more time."
"I understand. Why did you come here, of all places?"
He allowed her to slip her hand into his. "Because this is where it all came to a head. It felt like the right place to say goodbye."
She understood. RJ needed silence to say goodbye. She kissed him on the cheek and left him alone with his thoughts.
And to accept again that he would never morph again.

The first few chapters will focus mainly on what the rangers have been doing since retiring theri powers. The action will come soon enough.
Part II
There was another presense on the cliff top.
"Beautiful view." the stranger said.
"Yeah." RJ stated, not really wanting to talk.
"Doesn't beat the views from Angel Grove's cliffs though."
Angel Grove was about twenty miles south of Weston City. He had bad memories of that town. He had seen the Space rangers killed. It wasn't a place he ever wanted to go anytime soon.
He turned to eye up the stranger. He was wearing a Green T-shirt tucked into a pair of dark blue jeans and black boots. He was also wearing a silver watch on his left wrist. The strap of the watch was laced with green streaks.
"Looks so peaceful." RJ breathed.
"Theres more activity out there than you can imagine."
RJ turned to see that the strangr's gaze was not fixed on the ocean.
"If you don't mind, I'd rather be alone." RJ stated.
The stranger made to walk away, then stopped. "Sorry, can't do that."
"Then I'm gone."
"Can't let you do that either."
"What?"
The stranger opened his palm to reveal a gold coin. "You know what this is?"
RJ leaned in to get a closer look. The coin had a three pronged symbol on it, like a crown...or a claw. He knew what it was.
"You're the...." he stammered.
"Green Power Ranger." he said extending his hand, "Name's Max Walker."
"RJ Jackson." He said accepting his hand, knowing what he had to say next. "Green Sonic Ranger."
The ring was the only place he had ever truly felt at home. The only place he had felt useful. Well, since he had retired his "alternate" career. Most of his fellow rangers now stayed as far away from the squared circle as possible now. He was sorry that he had lost touch with most of them.
It was a mistake he planned to rectify soon. For now, he had a match to concentrate on.
The match wasn't his though. Tucker Falls had missed his chance to become a world class wrestler due to his days as a Ranger. He smiled to himself. He wouldn't trade those days for anything though.
Tucker Falls, the Wrestler was no more.
Tucker Falls, the coach was his career now.
"Keep your guard up, Jase!"
He wached the two young atheltes in the ring go at each other. Jason was the most inexperienced of the two and his green showed. He was nervous and was only putting off the inevitable. The leg drop hit and the pin fall commenced.
One.
Two.
Three.
Damn.
Tucker slammed his fists against the Ring Apron. He had put so much time in with this kid and it just didn't seem to be getting through. He was stopped from getting into the ring by a call over the P.A. system.
"Tucker Falls, telephone call at reception."
Tucker took the phone from the receptionist. "Thanks, Kay." He placed the receiver to his ear. "Hello?"
"Tucker Falls?" the voice on the other end said.
"Yeah. Whos this?"
"Tucker Falls, Green Ranger?"
Now that got his attention.

Spike Harrison had been finding it really difficult to readjust to normal life. He had been a Ranger for longer than he cared to remember. Strike Force had been his life.
He looked down at his dis-used morpher, still attached to his wrist. He still wore it, as if clinging onto tat part of his life.
He closed his eyes and remembered that first day when he and his team had been called to duty, as rangers.
"Good times." he smirked and began to take the morpher off. "But thats all gone now."
"Don't be so sure."
Spike turned to see a figure standing in the doorway, blocking out the sunlight. He rolled down his sleeve in an efort to cover his morpher. "Can I help you?"
The figure took two steps in. "That depends."
"Depends on what?"
"On if you're the guy I'm looking for."
Whoever this guy was, he was confident. He was smaller than Spike, and Spike was sure he could take him if it came down to that. "And who might that be? And oh yeah..." he said strolling over to him and grabbing him by the collar, pushing him back out the door. "Get outta my house."
"How many years has it been?" the other man said, "Seven? Nine? Ten? Living alone, clinging onto your past. Feeling like you don't really fit in?"
"You're awfully confident for a guy I have by the throat."
"I know who you are, or rather who you were."
Spike's grip tightened. "What do you know?" he growled.
The other man proceed to roll up his sleeve, revealing a morpher of his own. "Because I'm one too. I was contacted by an old friend, we need your help."
Spike thrust the other man to the ground. "You don't want my help." he said and slammed the door in the stranger's face.
"Dont walk away Spike! You're making a mistake!"
"Screw you!"

Gary Gregory dusted himself down as he picked himself up. There was no doubt about it, that was the man he had been sent to recruit. What had happened wasn't his fault, but he felt he had failed his mentor.
He remembered being called to his base of operations and when the mysterious figure had contacted him through the visual screen. He couldn't be sure but he could have sworn the costume the figure wore was that of a ranger, only he had some kind of breastplate on. He had been sent along with another Green Ranger to recruit Spike Harrison.
"Take it he said no, huh?" Chris Duncan, the Green Fire Storm Ranger said as he helped his new found colleague to his feet.
"Man, he's gonna be pissed." gary growled, "C'mon, our ride is waiting."
They both turned to leave when the door that Gary had been thrown from a few moments ago opened. Spike Harrison stood there and he looked like he was ready to leave. "You both Green Rangers?"
Gary and Chris nodded. "We need your help, Spike." Chris said.
"You got a ride?" Spike asked.
Gary nodded and extended his hand. "Welcome to the team."
She could only watch as her husband packed some clothes, dashing about the house in an effort to get ready.
"RJ, whats going on? Some guy shows up, claiming to be the original Green Ranger and you leap back into action? You promised me it was over."
"I know. But this is important."
"And we're not?"
RJ grabbed her by the shoulders. "Yes you are, both of you. And don't you ever think that."
"But you're still leaving."
RJ looked over at Max, who was pretending to be interested in the crack on the ceiling. He closed the door over. "I have to do this."
"But," she stammered, "What if you don't come back?"
"I will come back. I promise. But I have to go on this mission."
She nodded. Even through all the dramatics she understod. "Once a ranger, always a ranger."
"For one more mission. I promise."
"Don't make promises you can't keep." she smirked.
There was a knock on the door before Max pushed it slightly open. "We have to get going, man and I don't think my bike will carry both of us and luggage."
RJ glanced at Elaine and smiled. "I think I have some wheels that can get us where we need to go."

The Cruiser sped from the city of Weston out into the Desert that seperated California from Nevada. Two figures occupied the front seats.
"So where exactly are we heading?" RJ asked from the driver's seat.
"A place I haven't been in a long time." Max answered, "You're going to have to turn off the road soon. We need to get into the mountains."
They looked up as a helicopter soared by, a little too close for comfort.
"That brings back memories." RJ commented, referring to the old blue sonic zord that belonged to Will Cameron.
"Right on time." Max commented.
"Friends of yours?"
"Of ours, RJ. Turn right off the road and follow that chopper."
The Helicopter had landed near the ruins of an old building. RJ could see four figures get out the helicopter as he parked the cruiser. He and Max got out and approached the strangers.
"Who exactly are they?"
Max ignored the statement. "Gentlemen, thank you for coming."
"Who are you?" the tallest of the quartet asked.
"My name is Max Walker. I am the green morphin power ranger." He motioned to RJ, "This is RJ Jackson, The Green Sonic Ranger."
"You two are Green Rangers?" another asked. "Where are we?"
Max bent down and picked up a piece of rubble. "This is the ruins of the Command Centre and the Power Chamber." He could never get used to calling it that, not even during his term as the blue zeo ranger or blue turbo ranger. Deep in his heart, he had always been green.
He looked out at his army of Rangers. Six in total, including himself. He had been hoping for more to turn up.
The roar of a motorbike engine drew their attention to the road the Cruiser had come up a few moments before. Two motorcycles, jockeying for position to see who could reach the summit first. The Rangers stood, fascinated by the battle going on below them.
The two bikes came to a halt yards from where the Rangers were standing, sending dust over the gathered crowd.
The one who had arrived second removed his helmet and shoved the other biker. "Hey, what the hell was that, man? You could've killed me there!"
"But I didn't." the other answered, "And don't ever touch me again, or I will."
And with that, he turned to look at the men spread out in front of him. "Tucker Falls, Green Smackdown Ranger, reporting as ordered."
All attention now turned to the other biker. "Richard Muller the third, most people call me Rich. Green Matrix Ranger."
Eight Rangers, things were starting to look up a little. At least now they had a chance

part VI
Goldzara, son of Goldar, son of Scorpina, looked at the army he had managed to assemble. All of these monsters had suffered at the hands, feet, weapons and zords of Green Rangers in the past. Now, they were on their way to claim their vengenance.
Lord Doomhammer had been the enemy of the Smackdown Rangers.
Cybertron had faced and lost against the Sonic Rangers.
Necron had fought against the Fantasy Force Rangers.
Mantrexor had been defeated by the Strike Force Rangers.
Lord Nepesh had faced the Fire Storm Rangers.
All of them had failed.
This time they would not.
The army gathered round the table in the briefing room of this spacecraft, which was now headed for Earth. There was a holographic generator in the centre of the table. "Generals, as you know, different teams of rangers have thwarted our plans to conquer the planet known as Earth for a sucession of years now..."
"Try decades." Doomhammer growled.
Goldzara glared down at him. He needed unity within the ranks, he needed his soldiers to fear him and be willing to die for him. The look he got back from Doomhammer suggested he had that.
"We are aware that the members of different Power teams are aware that we have a plan in motion to attack Earth. We have one of their spies in our brig."
"You haven't killed him?" Nepesh asked.
"He's more valuable to us alive." Mantrexor answered, "Any fool can see that."
Goldzara activated a small control on the holo remote. "I am sure most of you are aware of the war zord Cyclopsis?"
All of his generals nodded in response. "Well, allow me to present the weapon which will bring Earth to it's knees."...
I thought this would be a good part to wrap up "The Depths of Hell" at.
Part 2 of this story will be up Tuesday/ Wednesday next week.
"The Quest for Vengenance" coming soon, exclusively to RangerBoard.com.

Lucifer never fought Strike Force, in fact that's literally impossible. He's locked in ice in the ninth layer of Hell, chewing on the heads of traitors. Gotta love the Inferno by Dante. Anyway, the Strike Force fights Mantrexor.
