Coralis sat down on at a counter of an all night diner. "Kind of late to just be coming out." The server said.
"Did I ask you?" She asked.
"Okay, sorry, my bad." The server said, a little flustered. "It's just, most of the time there aren't pretty girls like you out this late. Unless they're doing bad stuff. Not that you look like the type to do bad things I'm just saying..."
As he babbled, Coralis looked up and smiled. He was actually quite attractive. "Hey, what's your name?" Coralis asked.
"It's Miguel." He said.
"Coralis." She offered him and hand. He gave her a firm handshake. "Nice grip." Coralis said with a chuckle.
"Sorry, guess I don't know my own strength." Miguel said. "So, what can I get you?" He asked.
"Well, I came for some coffee, but...maybe we could just...talk instead." Coralis said. Miguel smiled.

2 Hours Later...
"I mean, I can't believe she'd do that to me." Coralis said. "I mean...I'm her sister, and for her to..." She looked at Miguel, who almost looked like he had sat through a 2 hour long lecture he didn't want to hear. "Oh my...I'm so sorry, you haven't said anything all night." Coralis said with a chuckle.
"It's okay." Miguel said with a smile. "It's good to get out your emotions sometimes. And I agree, it seems like a pretty underhanded tactic for a sister to pull."
"Yeah, well, screw 'em." Coralis sighed. "I mean, if neither one wants me, I guess I'm not gonna sit on my ass and wait around for them to change their mind."
"That's understandable." Miguel said. "Hey, my shift is almost over so..."
"Oh, okay, I guess I'll go." Coralis said, a little bit saddened.
"No, it's okay. Maybe we could go somewhere else to talk." Miguel said. "There's like this little coffee shop that's open all night. They've got the best cookies in town." He said with a smile.
"Well...you do owe me a drink." Coralis said, returning his smile.
*********
"That was...mmmm...." Carolin moaned and chuckled as she and Tommy cuddled in bed.
"Yeah, I agree." Tommy said. "Your sister is gonna kill us, but it was great nonetheless."
"She'll get over it." Carolin said. "I hope."
*********
"I've been doing the talking all night." Coralis sat as she took a sip of hot chocolate. "So why don't you tell me something about you."
"Well, there's not much to tell." Miguel said.
"Oh come on." Coralis said, rolling her eyes. "How old are you?"
"I'm 19." Miguel said. Coralis chuckled. "What?"
"Your a youngin. I'm a year older." Coralis said with a smile.
"Not much older." Miguel smiled back and took a bite of his blueberry muffin. "Anyway, I'm taking courses at the University of California at Brookstone. I'm majoring in computer analysis and post-modern mythology."
"Oh, a smart arty." Coralis teased. "Why those classes?"
"Well, in all actuality...I'm kinda trying to develop my own..." He stopped himself short.
"Develop what?" Coralis asked.
"Well...ever since I was younger, I've had this sort of...fascination with the Power Rangers." Miguel said. "I've been trying to find an ancient power source strong enough to use with my morphing technology, but..." Miguel sighed. "You think I'm crazy?"
"No, trust me, I don't." Coralis said. "I mean...I guess in a way, the Rangers fascinate me too." Coralis said. "So, what else?"
"There's not much to tell. I mean, my life is pretty boring." Miguel said. "Now you, you're interesting."
"How so?" Coralis asked.
"Well, you've got so many stores. A story to tell." Miguel said. "And if you don't mind me saying, you're beautiful as well."
"Aww..." Coralis said. "That's so sweet. Thank you."
"No problem. Well, I have to be going home."
"Ohh..." Coralis said, getting the sad feeling again. "Alright." She and Miguel stood up. "You know, I'll give you my cell number, maybe we can hang out another time..." She took out a pen and wrote her number backwards on his forehead. "There."
"Why'd you do that?" Miguel asked.
"Well, you can't look in the mirror without seeing my number first." Coralis said with a smile. Then a thought crossed her mind. "I do have a case of insomnia...maybe you could show me your technology. I'd really like to see it."
"Maybe another time." Miguel said. "I've got classes in the morning..."
"I'm so sorry, I didn't realize..." Coralis started.
"No, it's okay." Miguel said. "I'll see you later." He said as he quickly left, his face a bit flushed. Coralis felt her heart skip a few beats. "What a guy..." Coralis sighed. Then without being able to control herself, she rushed out the door of the cafe. "Miguel, wait!" She called after him.
"Huh?" Miguel said, trying to get some of the color out of his cheeks. Coralis walked up and kissed him passionately. Miguel's cheeks from a dull red to a flaming red as she kissed him. Miguel sucked in a deep breath as Coralis broke away.
"I really...really wanted to know that..you're really cute...and funny, and...I really like you." She said.
"Uh...well...m-m-me too. I-I wasn't...wasn't...I..." Miguel couldn't compose himself. It wasn't often that a woman he barely knew decided to kiss him like she had, not that he was complaining. "Uh...thanks." He managed.
"Can we go back to your place?" Coralis asked sweetly, though her intentions were anything but.
"Well, I...I don't think that would be a good idea. It's late, and I got classes..." Miguel stammered.
"Come on, Miguel...I'll make it worth your while, I promise." Coralis cooed.
"I-I-I don't kn-know, I m-m-mean we barely kn-know each other..." Miguel said.
"Miguel, sometimes people just click, and I just clicked with you." Coralis said. "Come on..." She said as she took his hand. "I don't bite. Hard." She said seductively. Miguel swallowed his heart, which had jumped into his throat.
******
"Where is she?" Carolin came back into Tommy's bedroom.
"Who?" Tommy asked.
"Coralis." Carolin said as she tied her hair back into a ponytail. "I don't like it when she goes out this late. I mean, I know she's 20 or whatever but she can still be irresponsible at times, it just scares the hell out of me when she does this."
"Don't worry, she's a big girl." Tommy said as he put his arm around her. "I mean, she'll probably be home soon."
"I guess." Carolin said with a little reassured.
******
But perhaps she shouldn't've been reassured. Miguel opened the door and Coralis practically leapt into his arms and kissed him passionately. Miguel fell over his coffee table onto his leather couch with Coralis not missing a beat. "Coralis...Coralis wait!" He said, almost pushing her off the couch.
"What?" Coralis asked.
"Look...look, we just met, y-y-you kn-know and, we hardly know each other, we can't do this."
"Why not?" Coralis pouted.
"Because...look we can't because I...because I...don't...know you..." Miguel's voice trailed off.
"Miguel...are you a virgin?" Coralis asked.
"Well..I've really only done it once." Miguel said. "And like I said...we just met...and...I just wouldn't feel comfortable. Do you understand?"
"Yeah..." Coralis stopped straddling him. "I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me. I just think it and then I react to it and...I'm sorry."
"It's okay." Miguel said. "I mean...everyone makes mistakes, you know?"
"But this didn't feel like a mistake. It felt...right." Coralis turned back and looked at him. "I totally didn't mean to embarass you."
"I know." Miguel said. "It's okay."
"Maybe I should just go..." Coralis said, but Miguel stopped her.
"Don't leave." Miguel said.
"I should, you've got classes in the morning." Coralis sighed as she stood up. Miguel gathered some courage and stopped her. "Miguel..."
"Don't go. Please." Miguel said. "I don't want you to go." He said as he softly kissed her. Coralis kissed back more passionately and once again they were lost in the moment. They both pulled each others shirts off and Miguel lifted her up and carried her into his bedroom....
