I know this one is a little short, but it is only part one of chapter one. Please tell me what you think of it.

Power Rangers:
Battle for the Mystic Valley
Chapter One: Part One: The meeting
The branches crunched under his feet as he walked quickly along. The short gnome walked steadily as he fiddled around with something in his pocket. His hand slowly pulled something out. It was a silver bracelet with a orange jewel in the middle of it. He stared at it for a while then slid it back into his pocket.
His name was Gomer. He was the chief gnome from the town of Yelrack. He was wearing a green shirt tucked into some dirty brown pants, and of course his trademark brown leather hat with flaps coming over his ears. Then over it he had his tall pointed red hat.
A month ago he got a letter telling him of an emergency meeting at the house of Drex, the lizard-man’s king. Gomer had a good idea of what this was about. Lately the Dark Empire had been attacking all nearby lands. All that was left was the Mystic Valley.
Mystic Valley was home to five distinct races: The gnomes, dwarves, lizard-people, centaurs, and the Wolf-men. Even though they shared the valley, they did not usually shared land. This is why the meeting was such a surprise.
The walk was quite a long one. Luckily, the gnomes lived the closest to the Lizard-people. The closer he got the drier the air got. Plants got fewer and fewer as Gomer neared the palace. Soon he was walking on sand and all the plants were gone. Gomer soon realized that the lizard-people must not need shade since they would be cold-blooded.
When Gomer reached the gates of Drox’s palace Gamloin the Dwarf had just reached it aswell. He was a bit taller than Gomer. That was pretty short since Gomer was a Gnome and Gnomes max at two and a half feet. He had a war helmet on his head that rezimbled a viking’s. He was wearing a vest over some chain-mail that Gomer expected Gamloin himself had made. On his back was a large two handed axe. Gomer could see a silver bracelet with a blue jewel on his wrist. “Good Day” said Gomer. “Not really” replied Gamloin. They both stumbled into Drax’s palace where they found the meeting almost ready. Drox was sitting on a chair next to Yom the wolf-man, who was chief war-lord of his people.
Drox was as tall as a normal man, and he had a long snout and scale-covered skin. He was wearing teal battle armor and a flowing gold cape. On his back he carried a golden bow. Gomer figured that must be his weapon of choice.
Yom was just as tall as Drox but instead of scales he was covered in long brown fur. He wore brown leather armor and had a long snout like a wolf. He had dark beady eyes that darted every which way. On his side he carried a large war-hammer.
Gomer and Gamloin took the only remaining seats which were to the left of Yom. Soon Gomer heard a clipity-clop clipity-clop. Cyrax the centaur prince walked in. He was wearing a leather jacket with fur on the inside. He was, as all of his people, half horse and half man. He walked to the pedistal that was in the middle of chairs ring formation. He reached into his coat and pulled out a silver bracelet with a green jewel in it. He slowly laid on the pedestal. Everyone stared at him as he did so. “What? This is what this meeting is about. Is it not?” he asked. “Yes, you could say it is.” Said Yom. “Did everyone bring theirs?” asked Drox. Everyone pulled their bracelet out and placed it on the pedistal. “Well, what are we to do? Our numbers are to few to wage war on the Dark Empire.” Asked Gamloin. “We could use these!” Exclaimed Gomer. “What?! Are you crazy? Do you not have any recollection of the past? Last time we tried that the men died who used them!” said Drox. Last time the Dark Empire attacked two thousand years ago the men who tried to access the powers of the bracelets had been killed by the bracelets power. “Do you not remember the legend Drox? That the true heirs would wield the bracelets and access their powers in a time of need? What bigger time of need is bigger than now?!” replied Gomer. “He does have a point there.” Said Gamloin. “I must say I agree with the Gnome.” Said Cyrax. “Fine, you’ve convinced me Gnome.” Stated Drox. He walked over to the pedistal and picked up his bracelet with the grey jewel. Everyone else did so aswell. Gomer lifted his bracelet with the in the air. Yom followed with his brown jeweled bracelet. Then everyone else lifted theirs. “We will be the new rangers of the woods.” Stated Yom. Then everyone joined in with “Power Rangers.”
