Chapter 3:
To Korriban
Lee woke up. He was very sweaty, and hot, like he had a fever. Today was Friday, the day that the masters chose their Padawans. But that wasn’t what was on his mind. He had another bad dream. This time he was fighting the evil Sith that killed his parents. He was winning, but with one swift strike the Sith killed him. For some reason, this dream he easily forgot about. He grabbed his robe and lightsaber and walked to the training room.
“As you may know, there is only one Jedi Master now going to choose a Padawan. And that, is Zelix.” Luke Skywalker announced. Zelix stepped forward. She had a sad look on her face, but widened it to a smile. “Everyone knows what took place here at the enclave two days ago. The Sith attacked and Rez was killed. A day before that, Relin was killed. And that leaves me. I have chosen 1 of you students to become my Padawan. And that person is Zane. Step forward Zane, as you shall become my new Padawan.” Zane stepped forward smiling. Lee looked over at Bruce. Lee could tell Bruce did not like this. Lee saw anger and hatred in Bruce’s eyes. But Bruce did indeed stand up and walk over to Zane and congratulate him. Lee did the same.
“Now, since the Jedi Master has chosen, all of you may spend the rest of the day as you wish.” Luke announced. “Lee, Bruce, stay here.” Lee and Bruce turned around. “Yes, Master Luke?” they both said. “The council has given Zelix and I permission to go to Korriban to investigate the reason for the Sith attack. We plan to go to the Sith Enclave,” said Luke. “And what does this have to do with us, Master?” said Bruce. “The council has taken a great interest in you two. They wish for me to take you. That is, if you would like to go.” Replied Luke. “Yes!!” they both replied. “This is not going to be an easy task. I sense many dangers that lie ahead of us. Now, go get ready. We leave in 2 hours.”
Lee prepared himself. He shined up and tuned his lightsaber to perfection. He clipped it on his belt, grabbed his robe and walked to the Hangar Bay. He was very excited. This was his first real mission. And he was going to Korriban. He had never been to this planet. But even so, he knew much about it. He could tell that Master Luke was not lying. There were many dangers on this planet.
When he got at the Hangar Bay, Zelix and her new Padawan Zane were already aboard the new ship, Crono Hawk. I was a little smaller than the Millennium Falcon, but it was a fast ship. Lee went on board and talked to Zane and Zelix for a while before Luke and Bruce boarded.
“Well, are you guys ready?” Luke asked. “I am very excited, Master Luke.” Lee replied. Lee looked over at Bruce. Bruce didn’t speak a word. He just looked at the floor with almost no emotion on his face. But Lee could still see it. The fear, the hate, the anger in Bruce’s eyes. Lee was weary about this, and made sure to keep a close eye on Bruce.
About half of the way to Korriban, a fleet of Sith ships began to attack the ship. “Shields up!” Zelix yelled. “Lee, Bruce, Zane, get in those gun turrets!” Luke yelled. They ran up into the gun turrets and flipped the switch to turn them on. Lee began to fire and knocked two out. Zane hit one, and then tried to follow another around but couldn’t hit it. It flew around Bruce’s side and blasted away while Bruce was shooting another down. Bruce got lucky, cause most of the blasts either hit the turret or landed by it. Zane shot another 3 down while Lee chased one for a while and caused it to crash into another ship. Bruce shot another 2 down. The rest of the fleet retreated and they continued to fly to Korriban.
“Well, they now know we are coming.”, said Zelix. “I am sorry, Master.”, replied Zane. “Don’t worry about it my young Padawan, you did your best.” Zelix said softly. “Don’t expect a warm welcome, I have a feeling we are going to encounter much danger on this mission.
Luke boosted the ship back up to hyper drive, and they finally arrived at Korriban. They landed in the very outskirts. “I think I should stay and protect the ship, we might have trouble.” said Luke. Lee thought different, but Luke was right. The Sith know we are here, so someone needs to guard the ship. “Just call me if you need me. I will come as fast as I can.” Luke stated.
Zelix, Zane, Lee and Bruce left the ship. They had to walk through a vast desert, when they finally found the cave entrance they were looking for. This cave was dark and foggy. Skeletons and corpses lie scattered on the ground.
“I don’t like this place”, Zane stated. Lee heard something. Zelix looked at Lee and shook her head. She motioned her hand to tell the other two to be quiet.
“What is it, Master?” Zane whispered. “It’s a Talask”, Zelix replied quietly. Lee knew what a Talask was capable of. It is a huge gray and green monster with horns coming from its head and its back and teeth like a saber tooth tiger. That is probably the reason for all of the corpses and skeletons. “Ready your lightsabers.” Zelix demanded. And they did so. The Talask was heading for them quick, and they ran into one of the tunnels. Not even 4 Jedi could take this beast down.
“Bruce, how far are we from the exit?” asked Zelix “Not very far. About 500 ft.” Bruce replied. “The rest of you get out, I have and idea.” demanded Zelix.
Zelix took out a grenade and ran to the end of the cave, and threw the grenade at the monster. It caught it in its mouth and exploded from the inside, making a huge explosion. Bits and pieces form the beast flew everywhere. “We must continue onward”, Zelix remarked.
“I am glad that’s over.” remarked Zane. “Well, all I can say is you better get used to it.” Lee replied. “How do you know?! You can’t sense it!” said Bruce in a stern voice. Bruce had finally spoke, and only to put Lee down. All Lee did was look away from Bruce and continued walking.
They could now see the Sith Enclave in the distance. Two Sith Guards with heavy blasters guarded the door. “We can’t just barge in. If the guards see us, they will report us to the Enclave Master. We have to get those guards down quick.”, Zelix commanded. “I’ll take them!” said Bruce. “NO! We have to get up there quietly. Then attack!” commanded Zelix.
As quietly has they could, Zelix and Zane snuck above the cliff, then jump down and slashed the guards. They then drug the bodies behind the rock they where first hiding behind. “Now, we go in.” Zelix commanded.
