---Thunderstrike: “Operation Rising Sun- Phase Two”: part one.
The Middle East
Blake smiled while watching the five members of the Canadian ranger team known as Delta Flight settle into their positions around an abandoned stone building on the mountainside.
They are so clueless, Blake thought to himself as he stayed down low and watched from the distance. He ran his fingers across the golden brace he wore on his left wrist while he waited.
One of President Bush’s daughters had been kidnapped by a group of Vyram posing as normal run-of-the-mill terrorists to stir up more political unrest. Since the kidnapping occurred on U.S. soil, Eagle Six had jurisdiction to handle the matter. With their ranger team on assignment in Japan, Canada’s Delta Flight was assigned to handle the situation. This was their first actual mission against the Vyram.
Following them to the Middle East was easy enough for Blake. It was a simple matter of stealing his brace back and hiding in the cargo area of Delta Flight’s stealth jet.
The team below was already in their armor, and Blake could see their leader kneeling behind a parked military-style jeep. His chest shield was shaped like a bird colored red with yellow trimming. The shield covered a v-shaped white chest plate. The rest of his abdominal plating was as deep crimson as the armor segments along his arms. His gauntlets were white with yellow trim. His belt was gold with a v-shaped bird design at the buckle. The area below his waist and above his thighs was covered in red plating. The armor segments running down his legs were white, and his boots were deep red with yellow trims. His helmet resembled the head of a hawk, with a yellow beak extending around his black visor.
Each of the five members of Delta Flight had a bird shaped design to their armor, and Blake found them each laughable.
Blake bent back down behind the large boulder he hid behind and waited.

Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan
The Kaori Foundation looked out upon Odori Park near the center of the city. The park itself was covered with grassy area and traditional Japanese flower gardens. Its walkways were lined with various statues and fountains.
A trio of men in black suits left the foundation building and moved towards a sleek black limousine parked outside. The limo driver opened the back door for the men, but before they could enter, a man dressed in a black body suit slammed into them. He extended both his legs to kick two of the men in their chests, and slammed his palm heel against the third man’s chin before flipping over them and landing on the ground.
The assailant turned and drew a sword from behind his back. It was Ryo. “Die!” he shouted as he ran towards them in a fit of rage.
The suited men rose to their feet and reached beneath their jackets for their side arms. Before they could draw their weapons, another attacker leapt to the scene, only this one acted in their defense.
A young man leapt off the top of the limo and tackled into Ryo, crashing him to the ground. He rolled off the ranger and rose to his feet. It was Vince.
Ryo rose to his feet and turned to face Vince as the three men watched with amusement. “You dare to interfere!”
“I never pass up on a fight. Things have been way too dull around here,” Vince said.
Ryo charged towards Vince and started swinging his sword in an attempt to cut down the American. Vince dodged each blow with little effort, impressing the three men still standing by the limo.
Vince dodged back and forth, sidestepped, and swayed away from Ryo’s blade as the ranger continued his attack. Ryo’s brow creased with annoyance as Vince continued the dance.
“Quit moving and fight, you whelp!” Ryo shouted.
Vince grabbed Ryo’s wrist with his left hand and stepped forward while driving his right hand forward like a spear and striking against Ryo’s chest. Vince pivoted on his right foot and spun around while swinging his left leg out and slamming his heel against Ryo’s face. Ryo bent backwards as he fell to the ground in a daze.
Vince stepped over to Ryo and kicked the ranger in the stomach while he was on the ground.
Ryo struggled to his knees as he pulled out a small circular smoke bomb and tossed it to the pavement, causing a cloud of smoke to envelop around him. When the smoke cleared, Ryo was gone.
Vince glared at the three men. “You’re welcome,” he said as he turned and started to walk away back towards the park.
“Wait,” one of the men called out. Vince stopped and turned to face the businessman. “Who are you?”
“What’s it to you?” Vince asked.
A sly grin spread across the man’s face. “Perhaps we’re interested in rewarding the one who stopped our assailant with his bare hands.”
“Well in that case,” Vince said as he started to step closer to the limo. “My name’s Vince. I’m studying abroad here for the year. Not nearly as fascinating as I thought it would be.”
The man arced an eyebrow at me. “Oh?”
“You people have no sense of adventure or excitement,” Vince said. “You sit around eating rice from carts and reading your manga. Companies like this one here all trying to come out with the latest technological advance to make life easier instead of focusing on what’s important.”
“And what is important, young man?” the businessman asked.
Vince held up his hands. “The body.”
The man smiled and nodded. “Perhaps out of gratitude, Vince, I could provide a generous offer to challenge the limits of your body. An offer giving you adventure beyond your wildest dreams.”
Vince arced his eyebrow, slightly mocking the man. “Oh?”
The man turned and nodded to his two associates. The two men stepped into the limo and drove off while the one who addressed Vince held his hand out towards the Kaori Foundation’s entrance.
“Come with me, Vince,” the man said.
Vince tried to hide the smile blossoming on his face as he walked with the man safely inside of the Vyram stronghold.

Jason walked through the park, trying to look like a casual tourist while stopping at various points to snap off a few pictures with a digital camera.
He looked off into the distance towards the Kaori Foundation and saw four guards line up outside the entrance in response to the attack earlier by Ryo.
Jason moved in closer to the building while passing the back of a park bench, not taking notice of who was sitting there...
***
Yuuri sat on a park bench with her lap-top computer resting on her knees. She stared at the blank monitor in front of her and waited.
Hacking into the Vyram’s security was nearly impossible from outside the building. However, she and the two rangers from the French team Dragon Violer had found a small loophole. The two members of Dragon Force were currently on their way to knock out power across the entire city block. It would only take a split second for the supercomputer within the Kaori foundation to kick in and bring the security systems back online. It was during that second that Yuuri would infiltrate the building’s security programs.
She waited, not paying attention to who passed behind her…
***
Less than a block away from the Kaori Foundation, a tall skyscraper housed the generators providing power to most of the city. This was the target of Tristan and Zacherie, two members of the French ranger team known as Dragon Violer, or Dragon Force.
A normal human security force guarded the skyscraper, so the rangers had to proceed carefully.
Tristan and Zacherie walked towards the rear of the building near, the generators sealed just inside. Tristan was dressed in a white trenchcoat and dark sunglasses. Zacherie wore a dark jacket covering a navy blue undershirt and black slacks.
A quartet of guards noticed the two out-of-place rangers and walked towards them.
“What is your business here?” the lead guard asked.
Tristan looked to Zacherie and shrugged before lashing out with his right hand, striking the guard on the side of the neck before spinning around and slamming a reverse sidekick against his chest.
The other three guards pulled out their sidearms as the rangers readied their braces.
“Dragon changement!” they shouted as their armor activated just in time to deflect several bullets.
Tristan moved in, now covered in his white scaly armor. He uppercut a guard in the chest, then knifehanded him in the back of the neck so he collapsed to the ground.
Zacherie, in his blue armor, grabbed a guard’s wrist and twisted the weapon away before slamming his foot into the guard’s stomach.
Two raptor-style claws extended from Tristan’s gauntlet as he held the remaining guard to the ground and aimed the blades towards his neck.
“Give the order to vacate that building, and you and your friends will get to live,” Tristan said, placing an icy tone behind his voice. “If not…well…let’s just say I’ve been itching to get these claws dirty.”
The guard nodded and gave the order. Tristan knocked him out afterwards, but kept him alive as promised.
The two rangers walked towards the building, each holding a small metallic sphere in their hands.
“Too bad Xavier isn’t here,” Tristan said, referring to the team’s demolitions expert as he activated the sphere. “He loves this sort of thing.”
Zacherie activated his sphere. “Something tells me he’ll have plenty more opportunities.”
They hurled the spheres towards the building, causing a concusive blast that tore through the concrete walls and ripped into the building.

Man,this fan fic is ill, son.(had to say it) lol
Ryu- Where did you get the bases for the other ranger teams? Like the Dragon Force( Zach and Tristan)? Did you get them from other fan fics or just came up with the idea?

thanks for the feedback.
i came up with the foreign ranger teams on my own, but i drew inspiration from the really, really old sentai programs like Goranger and Battle Fever J. At the end of this summer (when season one of ThunderStrike and "I, Ranger" will be complete), i'm probably going to write up a few spin-off movies starring the other ranger teams.
Each of their motiffs, as i try to make blatantly obvious, is drawn from a different sentai: ThunderStrike-Dairanger, Delta Force-Jetman, Dragon Force-Abaranger, Kabuto Raijya from Hurricanger, and Animal Might- Gaoranger (you'll be seeing this russian team in this phase). Their armors all have that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie look to them as well...except for Dragon Force.
Anyway, this was probably more info than you were looking for, but I hope this helps. Thanks for reading.

I knew which each ranger team was representing from sentai(but thanks for the reminder anyways). And,I can't wait for the spin-offs for the other teams. It'll explain some things about them. IMO,I kind of pictured the Abaranger/Dragon Force armor to look similar to PR:TM armor, except with scales. I have one hell of an imagination.
Ryu,
A fantastic job. I'm looking forward to reading the rest when I return.

---Thunderstrike: "Operation Rising Sun-Phase Two": part two
Vince sat in a high-rise office across from a man dressed in a solid white suit with a black undershirt. He was a European man in his mid 30’s with bright blonde hair. He leaned forward on his desk, placing both hands in front of him as he smiled at Vince.
The shades were drawn, and only a small lamp on the desk cast dim illumination across the room.
“I’ve been told you’re quite the fighter,” he said in a deep British accent. “Have you had any formal training?”
“Just a few things I picked up on the streets,” Vince said.
The man nodded with approval. “We have use for young men of your talents and…persona in our corporation.”
“The Kaori Foundation?” Vince asked, trying to sound skeptical.
The man shook his head. “The Kaori Foundation is part of a much greater whole that I’m giving you the chance to be a part of…”
Vince arced his eyebrow at the man. “Just like that, huh?”
“You will be tested first,” the man said. “Rigorously.”
The power went out throughout the Kaori Foundation, leaving Vince and the man in darkness.
***
Yuuri’s fingers danced across the keyboard as she attempted to break into the Kaori’s security systems. She had little time before the backups came on and had to work quickly.
***
When Jason and Ryo noticed the power outage, they moved in faster than lightning. They weren’t sure what caused the outage, but knew they had to take advantage of it.
They activated their armor and entered the building’s elevator shaft on the roof as they slid down the support cables.
***
Yuuri typed faster. If the back ups kicked in before she was finished, the security systems would come back online and she would have missed her chance to break into them.
“Almost there…” she said quietly to herself. She hit the enter key, gaining access to the building’s security protocols a second before the backup power came online. She fed the motion sensors false data so movement would not be detected anywhere in the building.
She closed her computer and started to walk towards the building.
***
Jason and Ryo slammed onto the top of the elevator seconds after power was restored throughout the building.
“This sneaking around is madness,” Ryo said as he shook his head. “Madness and cowardly.”
“Just sit tight,” Jason told him. “The fun will start soon.”
***
When the lights powered back up in his office, Vince was gone.
The man wrinkled his brow and activated a comm to the left side of his desk. “Our guest is missing. Find him and bring him back to me…or turn him into Wraith sludge. I leave the choice up to you.”
***
Vince was darting down the hallway in his armor as he leapt through the air and slammed a flying sidekick against a Wraith’s chest. He landed on his feet and armed his fist blades as three more enemy soldiers stalked towards him.
The original plan Jason, Ryo and Vince devised was based off of information provided by Nekram. The Vyram defector had explained to the rangers that the Vyram would be on the look out for new recruits to undergo genetic modifications since their main pit in Hokkaido was no more.
They decided to trick the Vyram at the Kaori building into believing Vince would be a worthy candidate. Once inside, Vince was to break away to the control and deactivate the security systems so Ryo and Jason could enter the building. Once inside, the three of them would destroy the source of the jamming field.
Vince moved forward and slammed his fist against a Vyram’s face, his blade cracking through the creature’s skull.
He front kicked the corpse away as he stepped forward to block a soldier’s claws with one hand, then punch the creature in the chest, cracking through its ribs.
He heard the high-pitched wails of another group of Wraiths coming from the halls behind him as the group in front of him advanced.
“Knew this was a bad idea,” Vince muttered to himself as he stood ready to attack.
The Wraiths charged at him. He grabbed the lead soldier by the arm and tossed the creature over his shoulders and into the line of Wraiths closing in from behind.
Vince launched himself against the soldiers with his fists flying, blades cracking through bone and puncturing through muscle.
He heard a feral war cry and turned to see Ryo charging down the hall with Jason a few steps behind him.
Kabuto Raijya’s sword was a blur of motion as he slashed through the Wraiths with blinding speed.
Jason had his longknives drawn and used them to hack away at the soldiers Ryo missed.
“How’d you get in?” Vince asked as he reverse sidekicked a soldier in the chest.
Jason ran a blade through a Wraith’s gut before bringing his other longknife down and decapitating the creature. “The power outage.”
“Kind of defeats the whole purpose of me being here,” Vince said as he hook punched a Wraith, his fist blade smashing through its temple.
“It doesn’t matter,” Ryo said as he roundhoused a soldier, his heel smashing the creature’s skull as he stepped forward and speared another creature in between the eyes. “All that matters is killing Vyram…”
Jason jump kicked a soldier, his foot smashing the creature’s face in. “Let’s get to the control room and find that jamming signal.”
The three rangers pushed forward.
***
The control room was a long rectangular hall with computer terminals lining the walls. A dozen guards and technicians manned various terminals as they tried to locate Vince per their commanders orders.
“Nothing…” one of the techs muttered. “Are the motion and heat sensors even working?”
A guard nodded. “They’re working, but not picking up anything.”
They all turned to the far end of the room as the ceiling caved in and three armored figures landed on the ground, covered by dust and smoke from the explosion.
A blade boomerang snapped out from the dust and carved through a group of guards before they could fire off any shots.
The three figures then dashed from the smoke. They were Yuuri, Tristan, and Zacherie.
Tristan armed his raptor-like fist blades and punched a guard in the throat, ripping through his windpipe and arteries. He pulled his blade out and spun around behind the guard while double punching another technician in the chest.
Zacherie downloaded two short spike blades. He held one of the steaks with the blade pointed downward as he slammed it through the chest of a guard. He pulled the blade free and turned to jam his other spear through the neck of a soldier that tried to sneak behind him.
Yuuri leapt onto the wall and pushed off while snapping her heel across the head of a guard. She landed and spun around while downloading her twin daggers and slicing them across a guard’s throat. She turned to her right and jump kicked the last technician, smashing in his face as he fell to the ground.
“Such a messy profession,” Tristan said as he surveyed the damage while shaking his head.
They turned to their right and snapped into fighting stances as three more armored figures entered the room. It was Jason, Vince and Ryo.
“Die!” Ryo shouted as he charged towards Tristan and Zacherie.
“Yuuri?!” Jason said. “Ryo, no!”
“Oh, Christ,” Vince mumbled as Ryo attacked the two members of Dragon Force.
Ryo swung his blade down diagonally towards Zachary’s head, but the Frenchman lifted his arm as the diamond shaped plates of armor sprang out like daggers to block the blow. Zacherie then lashed out and struck his fist against Ryo’s chest plating, knocking Kabuto Raijya back a few steps.
Yuuri shook her head and downloaded her blaster. “This is ridiculous…” she fired on the side of the computer consoles to get everyone’s attention. “This has got to be the worst executed operation of all time.”
“Nice to see you too, Yuuri,” Jason said, a lopsided grin appearing under his helmet.
“Boys, cover the exits,” Yuuri said. “Jason, keep your pet beetle on a leash.”
“Onore!” Ryo shouted as he raised his sword.
“Ryo,” Jason said as he placed his hand on Ryo’s shoulder to calm him.
Yuuri made her way to a computer terminal and hacked into the grid system surrounding the supercomputer. “I’m in…let’s go…”
They made their way out into the hall and came face to face with a Vyram warrior with dozens of Wraiths behind him. He wore a dark cape over a black suit of leather armor. His shoulder padding was covered with silver spikes that matched His hair was long and dark, and his eyes shined with a silver luster. He held a long onyx blade in his gloved hands.
Information flashed across Jason’s visor.
TARGET ALPHA
THREAT LEVEL GAMMA TEN
BIO CELLS LEVEL ELEVEN
“Yuuri,” Jason said, “Take White and Blue to the supercomputer. We’ll hold off this guy and catch up with you.”
Tristan assumed a fighting stance. “He’s a Gamma Ten. You three can’t handle him alone.”
“We’ve seen worse,” Vince said.
“Go,” Jason said.
Yuuri turned and ran down the other end of the hall. “This way,” she called as Zacherie and Tristan followed her.
Jason downloaded his twin swords, Vince his fist blades, and Ryo his curved sword.
“Let’s do it,” Jason said as the three rushed into battle.

Ryo ran towards a trio of Wraiths while snapping off a volley of throwing stars. The bladed weapons tore the soldiers to shreds as Kabuto Raijya leapt over them and downloaded his saber while bringing it down towards the Vyram warrior’s head.
The dark warrior’s eyes flashed blue as he lifted his hand and suspended Ryo in midair with a grasp of invisible energy.
Jason scissored his blades through a Wraith’s midsection and looked back just in time to see the warrior pound Ryo backwards with an invisible energy pulse. Kabuto Raijya was slammed down the hall and bashed against a wall.
“He’s a damn telekinetic!” Jason shouted to Vince.
Vince hook punched a Wraith across the head, cracking the creature’s skull open with a fist blade.
“Let’s see how good he is,” Vince said as he downloaded his blaster and aimed towards the warrior’s head. He fired off several rounds, but the villain deflected each blast with his dark blade.
Jason spun a step closer to the warrior while running his blades through a Wraith’s neck.
“Divert his attention,” Jason said as he downloaded his own blaster and fired at the ceiling above Onyx.
The ceiling collapsed over Onyx and debris went crashing towards his head, but he extended his hand upward while erecting a tk shield and suspending the debris in midair.
Vince fired at Onyx’s chest, hoping to catch the villain off guard.
Onyx dropped his hand down while dragging the debris in front of him to deflect the blasts. The villain then closed his fist and the pile of rubble blasted outward, pounding the three Rangers back as well as tearing through the remaining Wraiths.
ARMOR INTEGRITY 94 PERCENT
BIO CELL INTEGRITY 98 PERCENT
Onyx slammed his sword against the ground and emitted a tk blast that tore across the floor towards the rangers.
Jason and Vince jumped to the sides of the hall to avoid the blast, while Ryo leapt forward, holding his curved blade out like a spear aimed towards Onyx’s chest.
Onyx swung his sword horizontally, parrying Ryo’s strike with ease before extending his hand and slamming an energy pulse against the ranger’s stomach. Ryo flew backwards towards the other end of the hall as Jason and Vince moved in with their blasters blazing.
***
The six-story tall super computer was a mesh of pulsing black wires and clusters of red, bubble-shaped bio-matter.
A crew of two dozen technicians and guards attended to the computer’s data terminals as the room started to lock down due to the security breech. Large metallic doors slammed into place as Wraiths lined the floor. The remaining Vyram warriors were positioned outside the room’s entrances.
The lead guard smiled as he surveyed the room with his back towards the computer core. He nodded with satisfaction, and as he turned to head back to his station, he was met with a pink-gloved palm heel smashing across his jaw.
The guard dropped to the floor as Yuuri turned to her right and slammed a sidekick against another guard’s face.
A group of Wraiths charged towards her, but she downloaded two daggers and tossed them towards the creatures. The short blade punctured through two Wraiths’ throats as they struggled for air.
Yuuri ran towards them and pulled her daggers free as the Wraiths collapsed in a pair of lifeless heaps onto the ground. She stepped around their fallen forms while spinning and slicing open the chest of another Wraith with her daggers.
She looked to her right to see Zacherie mauling through a group of guards. The diamond platings of armor running along his arms were protracted like daggers as he tackled through the guards, tossing them aside like rag dolls after tearing them to shreds.
To her left, Tristan was handling his curved blade in a style combining elements from fencing and samurai sword arts. He struck at Wraiths and guards with a grace-like ferocity Yuuri couldn’t help but admire.
Tristan held his blade in one hand as he lunged forward and ran it like a spear through a Wraith’s gut. He pulled the blade out while twirling it through an arc and turning behind him to strike down a guard.
Yuuri ran over to the supercomputer and accessed one of the data ports while Tristan and Zacherie provided her with cover. She entered a code that should have caused the supercomputer to begin a series of complex breakdowns, leading to its destruction. Instead, the computer blasted Yuuri with a burst of electricity strong enough to hurl her across the room and slam against the wall.
“Yuuri!” Tristan shouted as he decapitated a Wraith and then ran to her side to help her to her feet. “Are you alright?”
She shook her head. “The code didn’t work. I can’t get the computer to self destruct.”
“Well now that presents a problem, doesn’t it?” Tristan said as he armed his raptor-claw type fist blades and punched an oncoming soldier in the chest, cracking through its ribs and tearing through its flesh and organs.
The seal covering the side entrance exploded as four figures burst into the room. They were Vyram warriors, each a gamma ten.
One of the Vyram was six feet tall and ripping with powerful muscles. He wore a black leather armor over his chest and abdominal region that meshed with the armor covering his legs. His hairy skin was yellow and appeared as if it were peeling. He had a single eye in the center of his head that seemed alive with a crimson energy all its own. Fine strands of white hair covered his head and fell down across his pointed ears.
The second warrior was completely pale and wore a long black jacket over a dark body suit. His hair was blonde, contrasting his solid black eyes. A pair of black wings extended from his back, and he was armed with a dark sword with a white gem in its hilt.
The third warrior was covered in black tattoos of various patterns. He wore a simple black vest and black slacks. His dark hair was long and reached down to his waist. His eyes glowed deep yellow.
The final warrior was a strange man/lizard hybrid. His thick brown flesh was covered in scales from his reptilian head all the way down to his muscular tail.
The Dark Angel Vyram pointed his blade at the rangers. “Death has come for you…”
The Cyclops Vyram fired a energy pulse from his eye the slammed against Yuuri’s armor and sent her crashing against the opposite wall.
The Lizard warrior lashed out with his tail aimed towards Tristan’s head. The ranger rolled underneath the blow but was hit by an electric blast from the Tattoo Vyram.
Zacherie charged towards Dark Angel with his armor plating still pointed outwards like daggers and his two fist blades ready. The Vyram leapt into the air with a powerful swoop from his wings, then fired a white-hot energy blast from the gem on his sword that crashed against Zacherie and sent him tumbling across the ground.
The dark Angel grinned, revealing a mouthful of razor sharp teeth as he swooped down for the kill.

Jason and Vince continued their charge while their weapons discharged harmlessly against a tk field being projected by Onyx.
“Floor!” Jason shouted as they lowered their blasters to the floor underneath Onyx and fired. Their blasts ripped the ground from underneath Onyx and he fell down to the next lowest level as Jason and Vince flipped down after him, Ryo not too far behind.
The three rangers landed just as Onyx was struggling back to his feet.
“Hit him,” Jason commanded as he snapped off a blade boomerang. Ryo charged forward while snapping off a volley of throwing stars and Vince leapt towards the villain as well as he readied his fist blades.
The boomerang cut across Onyx’s shoulder, whipping the warrior around as the throwing stars cut through the right side of his body.
Vince jumped forward, slamming both his fists against the Vyram’s chest. He twisted his wrists as the blades tore open gaping holes in the warrior’s flesh and bone. Vince pulled out his blades and kicked the man backwards.
Jason leapt off of Vince’s shoulders before flipping towards Onyx and scissoring his twin swords through the Vyram’s neck. Onyx’s head fell to the ground next to his lifeless body.
Ryo nodded approvingly. “Brutal, but efficient. I like it.”
“I figured you would,” Jason said. “Let’s get to that computer…”
The three rangers ran down the hall to join Yuuri and the others.
***
Tristan flipped backwards as he kicked dark Angel upside the head while the Vyram was in midair. The dark Angel looped through the air to avoid falling before swooping back towards the ranger with his sword ready to strike.
A white-hot energy beam shot from Angel’s sword that Tristan jumped straight into the air to avoid. His ascent continued until he was above Angel, then he downloaded his blaster and fired downwards at the Dark Angel.
Angel climbed and banked to avoid the blasts, but his wings were shot. Dark Angel flipped during his fall to the ground so he could land on his feet. Tristan landed in front of Dark Angel and downloaded his sword.
“This is much better,” Tristan said as he charged towards the Dark Angel. The two clashed swords and began dueling.
Dark Angel’s sword was much more powerful, but its weight made maneuvering difficult. Tristan took advantage oh his smaller sword’s quickness, giving him the edge.
Tristan parried a blow by Angel and then followed through, swinging his blade in the other direction while striking Dark Angel across the chest. Angel floated back on his wings to try and avoid the attack, but the sword still cut across his flesh as black ichor dripped from his wounds.
“First blood is yours,” Dark Angel said.
“I’m about to go for seconds,” Tristan said as he leapt towards Angel while bringing his blade down towards the Vyram’s head.
Dark Angel used his wings to slide to the side of the blow as he brought his blade around and struck against Tristan’s back. Angel’s blade sparked against the white armor as Tristan fell to the ground.
Nearby, Yuuri used her spear to bat the Lizard’s tail away while spinning and snapping a blade boomerang in the creature’s direction.
The weapon chopped off the Lizard’s left arm as the Vyram howled in pain, but the appendage quickly regenerated.
“Why am I not surprised,” Yuuri said quietly to herself as she downloaded her blaster and charged towards the warrior while firing several rounds that tore through its flesh.
Her visor alerted her to The Cyclops off to her right side, and the warrior fired an optic energy blast that she barely rolled out of the way from. The shockwave from the energy beam tossed her off her feet as the Lizard pounced towards her.
Zacherie downloaded two metallic stakes as he charged towards the Tattoo Vyram. He tossed one of the spikes at the Vyram, and the warrior’s tattoos started to pulse with light as he fired a bolt of electric energy to deflect the weapon. Zacherie jumped over the burst of power and flipped towards the villain while aiming his stake towards the warrior’s head.
Tattoo energized his fist with an electric field as he decked Zacherie in the faceplate. Zacherie fell backward, but reached his hands back to flip back up and snap a kick across Tattoo’s face.
Dark Angel stood with his foot on Tristan’s chest as he held his blade down towards the ranger’s neck with a feral grin spread across his face.
“Prepare to meet your maker,” Dark Angel said as he raised his sword to strike.
“Leave my friend alone!” a voice shouted from above as blasts tore into Dark Angel.
The warrior backed off of Tristan as the ranger rose to his feet and looked up towards a hole higher up in the wall. Three figures leapt from the floor and landed below. They were Jean, Xavier, and Constance: the other three members of Dragon Force.
The armor Jean and Constance wore was identical to Zacherie’s, only Jean’s helmet was designed to resemble a Tyrannosaurus and Constance’s helmet was modeled after a Pterodactyl.
Xavier’s armor was black and bore the helmet of a brontosaurus. The diamond-shaped plates of armor along his legs and arms were gold, and he had claw-mark shaped shoulder pads of gold.
“Glad you could make it,” Tristan said as he regrouped with his three teammates.
Nearby, the Lizard swung it’s tail towards Yuuri again, before it could connect, someone grabbed the creature’s tail and pulled. The warrior was swung off his feet and sent crashing into a wall. Yuuri looked over to see who the armored assailant was. It was Max, along with Matt.
“Hey stranger,” Max said.
“Max! Matt!” Yuuri called with excitement as she ran over to her two friends.
Max pointed back to Jean, Xavier, and Constance. “We came with the French.”
Before Yuuri could respond, Matt pushed her and Max away before leaping back himself. A large electric blast shot between them and slammed against the rear wall.
The rangers all regrouped, as did the Vyram.
“There’s eight of us and four of them,” Jean said. “Break off into pairs.”
The Lizard snapped his jaw defiantly. The Cyclops’s eye charged with energy. White flames danced across the Dark Angel’s sword. Tattoo’s body markings sparked with energy.

Before either side could strike, another voice called from the hole created by Xavier of Dragon Force.
“Is this a private party, or can anyone join?”
The rangers and Vyram turned to see Jason, Ryo, and Vince jump from the floor and land to the ground.
Dark Angel wrinkled his brow. “How many of you freaks are there?”
Jason pointed his sword towards the warrior. “We could say the same about you, wing brain.”
Dark Angel fired a blast of white-hot energy from his sword’s gem, and the battle began.
Jason rolled away from the blast and looked up to see The Lizard charging towards him. Yuuri leapt over the Lizard from behind as she fired off dozens of rounds from the two blasters she held. The Lizard shrieked as the blasts tore through his skin.
She landed next to Jason and downloaded her spear.
“He regenerates,” Yuuri said, “but it causes him a lot of pain.”
“Good to hear,” Jason said as he snapped off two blade boomerangs, then moved in while firing off rounds with his blaster. Yuuri ran towards the Lizard while keeping directly behind Jason.
The Lizard sacrificed several feet from his tail to knock away the blade boomerangs, then held up his arms over his head and shrieked as the blasts from Jason’s weapon tore across him.
Yuuri took advantage of the creature’s distraction by leaping off of Jason’s shoulders and flipping towards the Vyram. She speared the creature through its left shoulder as she landed. She then let go of her spear and quickly downloaded two daggers. She drove the daggers through both sides of the warrior’s head.
The Lizard screamed and spat up black ichor as he backed away. Jason moved in with one of his swords and ran his blade through the Lizard’s neck, snapping off the creature’s head.
Kabuto Raijya howled a war cry as he charged towards Cyclops with his sword held high.
“Careful!” Zacherie shouted as he and Xavier ran towards the warrior, but it was too late. The Cyclops shot off an optic blast that slammed against Ryo and sent him crashing backwards against a wall.
Xavier downloaded two blasters and hooked them together to form a small rifle. He aimed the weapon and fired super-charged rounds that blasted against The Cyclops, distracting him while Zacherie moved in with his twin spike.
The Cyclops saw Zacherie coming and backfisted the ranger across the helmet.
Xavier moved in close enough to uppercut The Cyclops in the gut, driving his raptor-claw-shaped fist blades through the warrior’s stomach. The Cyclops slammed his head against Xavier’s faceplate, causing the ranger to stumble backwards.
Kabuto Raijya then dropped onto The Cyclops’s back and wrapped his arms around the creature’s neck. “Die, abomination!”
Zacherie rose back to his feet and moved over to Xavier. “He’s a bit extreme.”
Xavier smiled beneath his helmet. “I like him,” he said in a low, cool voice as he downloaded a pair of curved blades and ran towards The Cyclops. The armor plating around his arms sprang to life and protruded like daggers.
The Cyclops reached backwards and grabbed hold of Ryo before tossing the ranger away like a rag doll.
Xavier flying sidekicked The Cyclops in the chest, then jammed his swords into the creature’s chest. The warrior howled as his bones snapped and flesh tore. He fired an optic blast that Xavier ducked under while spinning and cutting his armor plating across the Vyram’s gut.
Xavier was kicked backwards by The Cyclops as Zacherie moved in, holding his right arm across his body so the diamond plates of armor pointed outward. He jammed the armor against the Vyram’s throat, crushing the warrior’s air passage.
Ryo rose to his feet and extended his right hand as a horn-shaped blaster appeared over his forearm. He aimed the blaster towards the creature’s neck.
“Hornu Breakah!” he shouted as a blast of crimson energy poured from the blaster and ripped through the wound on The Cyclops’s throat. The Vyram felled backwards as the energy inside of him overloaded and exploded.
Jean downloaded a slender silver staff that was modeled after the tail of his totem dinosaur as he charged towards Tattoo. Constance fell into step to her leader’s side as she readied a pair of daggers.
Tattoo fired a massive electric pulse that the rangers leapt over. Jean tossed his staff like a spear towards the ranger’s head, and Constance tossed her daggers towards the warrior’s midsection.
Tattoo flipped backwards to avoid the blasts, and when he looked up, he saw the end of Vince’s staff crash in between his eyes.
Tattoo stumbled back in pain as Vince moved forward and whacked the end of his staff across the side of the Vyram’s head.
Jean and Constance took advantage of the Vyram’s distraction and leapt forward. Jean flying sidekicked the warrior in the chest, forcing him back. Constance swooped down from behind the Vyram, her diamond platings forming a glider as she swooped over Tattoo and snapped his neck.
Tattoo crumpled to the ground and his body’s energy went out of control, causing him to explode.
“You fight well,” Jean said as he ran to Vince’s side.
“Yeah,” Vince said as he nodded.
Tristan was knocked away by a powerful swing from Dark Angel’s sword.
Matt and Max moved in to help him to his feet.
“The gem in his sword,” Matt said. “We have to destroy it.”
“Consider it done,” Max said as he downloaded a longknife in one hand and a blaster in the other.
Dark Angel swooped through the air like a bullet towards Max as his sword energized for a strike. Max fired several rounds from his blaster that Angel deflected with his sword.
Max flipped over Dark Angel before the warrior could strike, and during the flip he crashed his longknife against the sword’s gem and shattered it.
“No!” Dark Angel shouted as he landed and inspected his damaged sword.
He looked up in time to see Tristan charge towards him. The ranger slammed a fist against Angel’s chest as his fist blades cracked through the ranger’s ribs. Tristan then backfisted the Angel across the face with his other hand.
Dark Angel swooped backwards with his legs and landed in front of the supercomputer as all eleven rangers regrouped to face him.
Max pointed his longknife at the Angel. “Not looking too good for the bad guys right now, huh?”
Dark Angel spit a laugh as he covered his wounds. “I will not let you leave this place alive.”
“Guys…” Jason said, “it’s time for the big guns…charge the Thunderbolt.”
Jean looked to his team. “Dragon Feu,” he said, commanding them to prepare for their Dragon Fire attack.
Ryo readied his wrist blaster.
Electricity danced between the members of Thunderstrike as spheres of energy crackled between their hands. “Thunder Bolt, Strike!” they shouted as they hurled their spheres towards their opponent. They combined to form one giant energy blast that tore through the air.
Fiery energy danced between the members of Dragon Violer as spheres of fiore formed between their hands. “Dragon Feu, allumer!” they shouted as they ignited their dragon fire. They hurled their spheres of flame towards their opponent as the spheres combined into one fiery-energy blast.
“Hornu Breakah!” Kabuto Raijya shouted as he fired a crimson energy pulse.
The combined three attacks incinerated Dark Angel before ripping into the supercomputer. The monstrosity of biotechnology started to crack and the red clusters shattered as computer’s systems started to overload. Explosions ripped through the computer mesh, shaking the entire building.
“Move out!” Jean shouted.

--Thunderstrike: "Operation Rising Sun-Phase Two": part 5
Seven sat confined in a dark room while bound in shackles. His vision was blurred as a result of the countless drugs that had been pumped into his system. He had lost all track of time.
The doors to the holding cell opened and Jade walked in, her silver hair reflecting the dim rays of light from the hall. “Comfy?” she asked.
Seven nodded weakly. “Lovely place you have. Cold…dark…just like you…”
Jade smiled. “Flattery will get you no where.”
“What is it you want?” Seven asked while trying to cover the strain in his voice.
“I just came to tell you your little Thunderstrike team has caused quite a stir since arriving. They destroyed the Pits in Otaru City, as well as the Bio-computer here in Sapporo,” Jade said. “They’re coming here for you next…they’re rather sloppy. You should be ashamed to associate with them,”
“They get the job done,” Seven said. “That’s all that matters.”
Jade shook her head. “You know you resent them, Seven. You could never hide your true feelings from me.”
Seven leaned back against the wall. “As much as I’m enjoying this conversation, I believe I’m in need of a nap. Do come to say goodbye before Thunderstrike kills you.”

The Middle East
Blake ran his fingers through his blonde hair as he continued to watch the scene unfold before him.
Armed guards with slight bio-genetic enhancements roamed the perimeter of the broken down castle, keeping out a watchful eye for intruders.
The President’s daughter was being held inside the compound, under guard by two Vyram soldiers and a group of Wraiths.
I could have done this myself, Blake thought as he watched the Canadian Delta Flight team move in.
Delta Blue and White dropped onto two guards towards the rear of the compound and snapped their necks silently while Delta Yellow slipped in unseen towards the base of the castle.
The yellow armored ranger lifted a large boulder and tossed it towards the support pillars holding the upper level steady.
Inside the castle, the Vyram and Wraiths were thrown to their feet as the floor started to collapse, and the president’s daughter screamed.
Delta Black swooped through an open window on gliders that ran from his arms to his waist as he twisted in midair and slammed both feet against a Wraith, kicking the soldier backwards. He lifted the president’s daughter over his shoulder despite her screaming protests and leapt out the window on the other side of the wall.
Delta Red was on a sleek red motorcycle below as Delta Black landed and helped the president’s daughter on the back of the bike. As soon as she was safely on board, Delta Red kicked open the throttle and started to jet down the dusty road away from the castle.
Delta Black turned to face the Wraiths that charged towards him as he downloaded a slender silver blade.
Blake continued to watch intently as Delta Black moved forward and hacked into the group of creatures with his blade. Blake noticed that the ranger did have skill, but his moves were unpolished and jagged.
One of the Vyram warriors smashed out of the castle while surrounding himself in a ball of flames as he landed in front of Delta Black, causing a shockwave that tossed the ranger backwards.
The Vyram’s entire body appeared to be made of living flame, except for black sheets of armor over his chest, legs and arms.
Delta Yellow, Blue, and White ran in towards the back of the Vyram while firing several rounds with their blasters. Their blasts were consumed by the warrior’s fire.
Off in the distance, Delta Red was traveling at blazing speeds as the president’s daughter held on tightly to his waist. A blur of motion dropped from the sky and landed in front of the cycle as Delta Red skidded to a halt.
A Vyram warrior blocked Delta Red’s path. The Vyram was covered from head to toe in razor-sharp black fur, and wore brown bands of leather wrapped across his body in a misshapen design. He carried to small daggers as he crouched in front of the ranger.
“You won’t be taking our little treat anywhere,” the Vyram said.
“Go to hell,” Delta Red said as he downloaded his blaster and fired. The furred Vyram leapt over the shot and spun towards Delta Red while slamming both his feet into the ranger’s chest.
Delta Red was knocked from his motorcycle as the First Daughter fell to the ground and screamed.
The warrior knelt down towards the President’s daughter and licked his lips as he held out his dagger.
“Leave her alone, fuzz-ball,” a voice said a few meters down the road. The Vyram looked up to see Blake facing him.
Blake stood with his brace ready as the Vyram rose and assumed a fighting stance.
“Go away, little boy,” the warrior said. “Let the grown ups play.”
“I’m no boy…” Blake said as he activated his brace. “Tiger Power, Strike!” White light swirled around Blake as he activated his armor.
THUNDER TIGER ONLINE
TARGET ALPHA
THREAT LEVEL GAMMA EIGHT
BIO CELLS LEVEL NINE
The warrior growled as he leapt towards Blake. The ranger stood still as a statue as the Vyram zoomed closer with his blade held outwards.
At the last second, Blake stepped forward with his right foot and brought his right hand across to parry the blow. He pivoted on his right foot and spun, brining his left elbow around and slamming it against the back of the Vyram’s head. The warrior fell to the ground as a result of the blow.
Delta Red grabbed the president’s daughter and pulled her back onto the motorcycle. “Let’s get out of here,” he said as he opened the bike’s throttle and sped off onto the trail.
The Vyram rose to his feet and prepared to pounce after the motorcycle, but Blake slammed a flying sidekick against the creature’s back.
“We are no where near done yet,” Blake said as the Vyram turned to face him.
The beast-like warrior swung at the ranger with his blade, but Blake managed to twist his body and dodge each blow with ease.
Blake grabbed the warrior’s wrist and snapped it so the small dagger fell to the ground. He slammed his left foot against the Vyram’s chest with a sidekick before snapping the same leg around in a hook kick across the warrior’s face.
Blake noticed a large comet of fire pass by over head and looked up to see the Vyram of flame jet off towards Delta Red and the president’s daughter.
“Not good…” Blake said.
The Beast Vyram took advantage of Blake’s distraction and flipped towards the ranger while slamming an ax kick against his collarbone. Beast landed and slammed a palm heel blow against Blake’s chest, forcing the ranger back a few steps.
Beast pulled another dagger from behind his back and thrust the blade towards Blake’s throat as he howled from his bio-enhanced lungs.
Blake downloaded his tiger saber and knocked the weapon away before flipping backwards and kicking Beast upside the head. Blake landed and dashed forward while running his blade across the warrior’s chest, cutting open his flesh and spilling black ichor over the dust-covered ground. The ground start to dissolve once the blood fell on it.
Beast hopped a few steps back while covering his wound with his left hand. “My blood is quite stronger than yours…” he said as a vicious grin spread across his face.
The warrior snapped out his left hand, flinging blood against Blake’s armor. The Thunder Tiger armor started to sizzle as the acidic fluid started to eat through its material.
“Sick!” Blake shouted.
ARMOR INTEGRITY 97 PERCENT…
ARMOR INTEGRITY 95 PERCENT…
ARMOR INTEGREITY 90 PERCENT…
Warnings flashed across Blake’s visor as he tried to wipe the blood from his chest and arm armor plating, but he only damaged his gloves.
Beast moved forward and slammed a fist against Blake’s stomach, then crashed his elbow against the ranger’s faceplate.
Blake was forced a few steps back as his armor continued to weaken.
Don’t have time to mess around, he thought to himself as he tightened his grip on his Tiger Saber. Gotta move fast…
The Vyram warrior hissed with pleasure as he moved in top finish off his opponent. Blake grabbed a hold of the villain’s arms and fell backwards, pulling the warrior down with him. He completed his roll by pushing his legs against the warrior’s chest and kicking off. The blood from Beast’s chest started to eat through Blake’s boots.
The Vyram was tossed through the air as Blake quickly rose to his knees, turned, and hurled his saber through the air. The blade spun towards its opponent and stabbed through the previously inflicted chest wound.
Beast screamed as he fell to the ground. Blake walked over, pulled the dagger from the warrior’s chest, and chopped off his head with one quick strike.’
He looked off into the distance and saw the five members of Delta Flight struggling to remove the president’s daughter away from the fire Vyram’s grasp.
He ran towards them as quickly as the animal his armor was modeled after.

--Thunderstrike: "Operation Rising Sun-Phase Two": part six
Sapporo, Japan
The eleven rangers and Nekram gathered in a small deserted warehouse on the outer edge of the city as the moonlight shined in through cracks in the wooden walls and boarded off windows.
Yuuri was pacing back and forth impatiently with her arms crossed across her chest. She checked her watch for the sixth time as she let out a sigh. “Where are they?”
The Russian combat team Parow’da Mawsh, or Animal Might, was late for the rendezvous time and weren’t answering their communicators.
“Our Russian comrades don’t seem very punctual,” Tristan said.
“We don’t need them,” Ryo said with the usual edge to his voice. “We will be enough.”
“He’s right,” Xavier said. Dragon Force’s black ranger had slick black hair and dark sunglasses covered his eyes that matched the color of his overalls and slacks. “We’re loosing time.”
Constance smiled at her teammate. “You’re just trigger happy, Xavier.” Dragon Force’s yellow ranger had long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. She was dressed in a simple brown jumpsuit covering a plain white T-shirt.
Jean nodded. “We’ll give the Russians some more time. Then we’ll develop our plan,” he said calmly. Jean had long blonde hair pulled back in a pony tail and had blue eyes. He wore a brown jacket over a white shirt, and brown slacks covered his legs.
Max shook his head. “Christ, we can’t just wait forever. They’ll be expecting us, being that we ripped apart one of their buildings and all.”
“Not ripped apart,” Tristan said. “Exploded. There’s a difference.”
“My bad,” Max said as he held his palms up defensively.
Tristan smiled. “Do you suppose if the most socio-conditioned man alive accidentally blew up the world, he’d say ‘my bad’?”
Vince looked up. He was leaning against a crate with his arms crossed. “He’s right. They know we’re coming.”
Jason nodded as he stared at a map of the building. “Besides…I’m pretty sure we can get in and out with just us.”
Nekram nodded. “Would be risky, but possible,” he said in a hissing voice as he kneeled by the crate holding the map.
Their heads all snapped to attention as they heard a small noise come from down a hall at the other end of the warehouse.
Jason stepped forward. “Vince, Max…come on…”
They walked down towards the direction of the noise, and Ryo followed.
They started to walk down the small hallway lined with broken down doors that used to lead into office buildings. They walked in silence.
Jason stopped as he saw a small rat run across his path. He breathed out a sigh of relief. “It was just a…”
A figure swung from the ceiling and slammed his feet into Jason, causing the ranger to fall backwards as the figure flipped to the ground and assumed a couched fighting pose.
He had shaved dark hair and a black goatee over a face with sharp, powerful features. He wore a tight black shirt that accented his muscles and black slacks.
Jason rose to his feet as the man jumped forward in a cat-like manner. Jason snapped off a sidekick, but the man grabbed the ranger by the leg and swung him off his feet and against a wall.
The man let Jason drop as he moved forward and blocked several punched by Vince before backfisting the ranger across the face. Vince spat up blood as he dropped to the ground.
Max launched a tornado kick towards the man’s head, but he blocked the blow and slammed an uppercut into the ranger’s stomach.
Ryo readied his brace. “Jenai, Shinobi tenshin!” crimson energy circled around him as his Kabuto Raijya armor activated.
The assailant held out his left wrist, revealing a golden brace of his own. He held the brace up to his mouth and shouted in a thick Russian accent and shouted his Best Reform command, “Heesh’neek Rayfor’ma!”
Red light circled around the man as a suit of armor activated, composed of the same material as Thunderstrike’s and Ryo’s.
His chest plate, abdominal plating, and arm plating, lower body and leg plating, as well as his boots were all deep red. He had a gold slash wrapped around his chest that went from his left shoulder diagonally to his right waist. The symbol of a lion was carved onto the left side of the chest plate. He wore white gauntlets that were outlined with a gold trim that matched the color of his belt and the rings wrapped around his ankles. His helmet resembled the head of a lion with its black mouth forming the visor and a small gray plate serving as the helmet’s mouthpiece.
“Looks like the wait’s over,” Max said as he, Jason, and Vince rose to their feet.
Four more figures dropped from the ceiling and surrounded the three members of Thunderstrike.
“Heesh’neek Rayfor’ma!” they shouted as they transformed into their armor. Each was identical except for the totem animals. The other three males were a Bison, an Eagle, and a Shark. The female was a tiger.
“Let’s do it,” Jason said as the three readied their transformation devices. “Thunder power, strike!”
Ryo downloaded his blade and leapt forward while swinging his weapon down towards Red Lion’s neck. The Russian downloaded a golden handled saber with a red gem in its hilt and parried the blow before moving forward and striking Ryo across the chest. Small sparks rang out as the small blade cut across Kabuto Raijya’s chest plate.
Ryo twisted his body around and slammed a backfist blow across Red Lion’s helmet before hook kicking the other ranger across the back of his head.
Ryo shouted at the top of his lungs as he armed a horn-shaped fist blade and swung a punch towards Red Lion’s chest. Red Lion grabbed Kabuto Raijya’s wrist and twisted before charging forward and slamming Ryo through an old wooden door as wood splintered everywhere. Red Lion slammed Kabuto Raijya onto an old wooden desk which gave way under their impact. The two crashed through the desk and Ryo was slammed to the floor.
The other rangers ran to aid their teammates as they transformed into their armor.
“Thunder power, strike!”
“Dragon changement!”
Yellow Eagle flipped and twisted through the air as he landed and swiped a slender golden blade across Yuuri’s chest armor.
Tristan moved into Yuuri’s aid while arming his fist blades and launched a flurry of punches towards the Russian. Yellow Eagle used his saber to deflect each blow as the metal of his blade rang against the steel of Tristan’s fist blades.
“Not bad, tovarich,” Yellow Eagle said before spinning forward and cutting across Tristan’s armor.
Zacherie and Black Bison charged towards one another like animals. Their shoulders slammed against one another, but the Black gained better footing than the blue ranger, and the Russian flipped the Frenchman backwards and slammed him to the ground.
White Tiger downloaded a small white baton and slammed it across Vince’s helmet. He spun with the blow and turned while hook kicking her across her helmet.
Jason kicked away Blue Shark before standing back to back with Vince.
Vince shook his head as White Tiger ran towards him. “Getting ridiculous again…”
“Yep,” Jason said as he front kicked Blue Shark in the face plate.
Red Lion walked back into a hallway and aimed his blaster towards the ceiling while firing several shots. The gathered rangers all looked to him as he powered down his armor and smiled.
“Forgive us,” he said as the cocky grin on his face grew. “We wanted to test your metal. You’re as weak as we feared.”
One by one, the rangers powered down their armor. Jason and Vince had to hold back Ryo to keep him from tearing the Russian to shreds with his saber.
“Weak?” Tristan asked with a look of disbelief on his face.
Max stepped forward. “Who you callin weak…? And what’s that growing on your face, anyway? Looks like roadkill.”
The Russian ignored Max’s comments. “I am Sergei, commander of Parow’da Mawsh. I am the Lyev.”
The man who had worn the blue shark armor stood slightly behind Sergei, off to his leaders left. His hair was died blonde, contrasting his tanned skin and brown eyes. He had a lean figure, but his tight fitting black jacket and trousers accented his muscles.
“Filipp,” he identified himself as a predatory grin spread across his face. “The Akool’na.”
The tall women who had donned the White Tiger armor had her arms draped around Filipp’s shoulders. Her tan skin matched his, and her hair was long and brown, flowing down to her waist. Her eyes sparkled with a blue luster and her lips were ruby red. She wore a tight-fitting leather body suit that accented her every curve.
“Oksana,” she identified herself. “The Tee’ger.”
The largest man out of all of the gathered rangers stood meekly behind his leader. He had the figure of a body builder. He wore a tight white t shirt covered with a black vest that matched the color of his slacks. His hair was cut short and died jet black. He had been wearing the Black Bison armor during the skirmish.
“I am Pyotr,” he said with a booming voice. “The Karow’va.”
The last member of the Russian team, Yellow Eagle, glared at the American and French rangers. His thin body seemed nothing more than skin and bone. His hair was shaved in a crew cut died pure white, matching his pale skin. His eyes stared ahead like brown daggers. He wore a loose fitting brown jacket over a white shirt and had baggy brown slacks.
“Artur,” he said in a voice that possessed power and nobility. “The Aryawl’.”
Sergei nodded with approval following his team’s introduction. “Now that we are here, comrades, the games can stop. We will show you how true hunters kill their prey. How true warriors fight.”
Max rolled his eyes. “I can tell we’re all going to get along so famously.”

--Thunderstrike: "Operation Rising Sun-Phase Two": part seven
The guards inside the wide lobby of the colossal Makiro Building were used to strange visitors coming and going. So when Xavier, Ryo, and Artur walked inside, they were paid little to no attention.
The odd trio walked through the crowd of businessmen and bureaucrats while standing shoulder to shoulder. Xavier was in the center, wearing a pair of sunglasses that matched his slick black hair. He wore a long black jacket over a jumpsuit made of the same onyx material.
Ryo stood to Xavier’s right, wearing his black gi with a thunderbolt symbol on each shoulder.
Artur walked to the left of Xavier, his baggy brown jacket covering his mangly figure. He also wore dark sunglasses that contrasted his pale face and bleached white hair.
The trio stopped in the center of the lobby as Xavier pulled out two, small spherical objects and tossed them behind a desk that was serving as a guard post. The spheres landed behind the desk as Xavier flipped open his jacket and pulled out a semi-automatic pistol in each hand.
The two spheres exploded as the bystanders screamed and ran for the exits. Xavier took aim at the slightly enhanced guards and let loose a hailstorm of hot lead.
A twisted grin spread across Artur’s face as people ran for the exits. He spotted another group of guards coming from the elevator, and more coming from other entry points as well.
“Not bad,” the Russian said. “But you lack finesse.”
Artur pulled out a handful of small throwing blades from his jacket and started snapping them off towards the guards before they could even draw their weapons.
Ryo, preferring the more direct approach, pulled out his sword and charged forward. He slammed his feet into a guard’s chest, kicking his opponent back before slicing his chest open and turning to hook kick another guard across the face. He turned to his left and snapped off a volley of throwing stars that knocked the guns from a group of guards hands.
“Now die!” Ryo shouted as he charged towards them and let loose with his saber, letting his rage and anger fuel his every strike and blow as the guards fell victim to the sting of his blade.
Large metallic security doors slammed shut across the lobby as groups of Wraiths piled in like waves of black scales.
The three rangers readied their braces.
“Jenai, Shinobi tenshin!” Ryo shouted as crimson energy circled him and encased him in the armor of the Kabuto Raijya.
“Heesh’neek Rayfor’ma!” Artur shouted as his brace created a cyclone of golden energy and encased him in the yellow armor of the Aryawl’, or Eagle.
“Dragon changement!” Xavier shouted as the black armor of the Brontosaurus wrapped around his body.
Xavier downloaded two small rifles and unloaded volley after volley against the incoming Wraiths. His blasts tore through the front line of the enemy formation, as Artur and Ryo moved in towards their side flanks.
Artur snapped off feather-shaped darts before leaping forward and striking into the Wraiths with his golden blade. He spun his blade before striking horizontally through the gut of a Wraith, then spun the weapon again before spearing it backwards through the chest of another soldier.
Ryo snapped off a volley of throwing stars that cut through their targets with ease. He moved forward and armed his horn-shaped fist blades as he punched his way through the enemy lines, crushing through bones and puncturing flesh with every strike.
“You Wraiths may as well be made of clay!” Ryo shouted as he slammed his fist blade through another creature’s skull.
Xavier unloaded another clip of shots at the incoming Wraiths before he heard a large clanking noise behind him. He turned his back to the Wraiths to the front of the lobby and saw that a Vyram warrior had appeared, classified as a gamma eight.
His large muscles were covered in patches of gray, leathery hide, and two horns stuck out from the front of his face and curved upwards like a rhino.
Ryo turned his head and spotted the warrior. His brow wrinkled with anger underneath his helmet. “Saijuu…”
The Saijuu charged forward as Xavier aimed his weapons and fired. The blasts bounced harmlessly off Saijuu’s hide as the Vyram warrior slammed his horns against Xavier’s chest and plowed the ranger backward.

The corporation building neighboring the Makiro Building was far less guarded, even though the two building’s shared the same basic power grid.
A group of five guards walked down the dark hallway of one of the building’s highest floors with flashlight in hand. They were typical, run-of-the mill rent-a-cops with no knowledge of the Vyram.
“Power outage?” one of them asked.
“Hope so…” another said.
One of the guards lagged behind his four companions, so they didn’t notice a dark arm wrap around his throat and knock him unconscious before slowly sliding him out of sight.
The four guards continued several more paces before noticing the absence of their comrade.
“Bobby?” one of them asked as he turned and shined his flashlight down the other end of the hall.
His flashlight suddenly broke, causing the guard to gasp in shock as an unseen force slammed against his face and knocked him out.
The other three guards reached for their sidearms, only to notice the weapons were missing. A blur of motion struck one of the guards in the neck, then swerved to bash the second in the gut, and finally wrapped around the third guard and cut off his air supply just long enough to knock him out.
Yuuri let the last guard collapse as she started a sprint down the hallway. She was dressed in the jet-black bodysuit and mask she always wore during infiltration missions.
She turned down the hall and entered a small room jam packed with computer terminals. She pulled a small data pad from her belt and jacked the device into one of the computer consoles.
She began to pry her way into the building’s power grid.
***
A group of a more than a dozen guards walked among the rows of glassed-off office cubicles on one of the middle floors of the Makiro Building. The doors behind the guards whipped open, and they turned and aimed their weapons. However, nothing was by the open door.
The security team slightly lowered their guard when they were attacked. Arms covered in sleeves of a white trench coat reached around one of the guards and snapped his neck. Tristan let that guard fall lifeless as he snapped out his left leg and sidekicked another guard. That guard when crashing through a glass cubicle.
The guards turned to face Tristan as Zacherie moved in behind them, dressed in his dark jacket and slacks. He used a small dagger to slit one of the guard’s throats as he grabbed that guard’s weapon and fired at two of the other guards.
The other guards were disoriented for a moment from the surprise attacks coming from two directions, and Jason chose that moment to strike as he sprang forward and stabbed a dagger through a guard’s chest. He spun around and reverse sidekicked that soldier through a nearby glass cubicle.
The remaining guards regrouped as their skin started to ripple. Their eyes turned ice blue as blue and purple veins popped up on their skin. They hissed, revealing columns of fangs.
“Huh,” Tristan said as he assumed a fighting stance. “Looks like they’ve beefed up security.”
“Let’s take em,” Jason said as they readied their braces.
“Thunder power, strike!” Jason shouted as his Thunder Dragon armor activated.
“Dragon changement!” Tristan and Zacherie shouted. Tristan was covered in the white Quetzalquatylus armor as Zacherie donned the blue Triceratops armor.
Zacherie’s armor plating sprang to its dagger form as he slammed his forearm against a guard’s chest. His armor punctured through the soldier’s chest as he pulled his arm away and sidekicked the guard backwards through a cubicle, shattering the glass.
Jason front kicked a guard in the face, crushing the soldier’s skull. Jason then turned to his right and sidekicked another guard, sending the soldier crashing through a glass cubicle. Jason snapped back to his left while arming his fist blades and slamming his fist into a guard’s chest.
Tristan held his curved blade with one hand as he brought it down in a vertical arc and split a guard’s skull. The ranger turned around while swinging his blade horizontally, and cutting down a soldier that had attempted a sneak attack.
The last guard charged towards Jason while howling at the top of his lungs. Jason snapped off a blade boomerang that decapitated the guard before returning to the ranger’s hand.
“Let’s go,” Jason said as he ran down the hall, the two French rangers falling into formation behind him.
Yuuri had created a small window of opportunity for the three rangers to enter the building undetected so they could access the building’s command network.
They ran down the hall towards the nearest command post.

“My presence here is wasted!” Sergei shouted. Even when muffled by his red Lion armor, his voice echoed with power.
He, Vince, Matt, and Nekram were in a dark secret tunnel that ran underneath the building. The tunnel was lined with a strange organic rock supporting a web of moss and algae-type plant life.
“Calm down, tough guy,” Vince said as he held up his hands in a non-threatening manner. “We have to wait here.”
Nekram nodded. “Safe here.”
Sergei armed his fist blades, four claw-like daggers protruding from each of his gauntlets, and aimed them towards Nekram’s head. “I don’t care about safety, worm!”
“Oh gods oh gods,” Nekram screamed in panic as he crouched behind Vince and hid.
Matt stepped forward to speak up, which surprised Vince to no end. “This location is of great strategic importance. Holding it will undoubtedly…”
Sergei shook his head as he started off down the tunnel. “I will go, and I will fight.”
“Bad idea,” Vince said as he reached forward and grabbed Sergei’s shoulder.
Sergei grabbed Vince’s hand and twisted the green ranger’s arm around. Matt lunged forward and struck a knifehand blow in the back of Sergei’s neck. Consciousness slipped away from the Russian as he fell to the ground.
Vince and Matt stared down at Sergei.
“He’ll be pissed,” Vince said.
Matt nodded as Nekram cowered behind them. “Oh gods oh gods…”
***
Jean, Pyotr, Fillip, and Oksana sat crouched on the rooftop of a smaller skyscraper across from the Makiro building.
Oksana had her arms draped around Fillip. “I detest all this waiting…”
Fillip nodded. “Don’t worry, my dear…the fun will start soon.”
Jean was in front of the three Russians, keeping a watchful eyes on the Makiro building. “Tristan and Zacherie’s group should be in by now. It shouldn’t take much longer.”
Pyotr’s gaze drifted to the streets below. Oksana noticed and smiled at him. “You have that look in your eye Pyotr…”
He nodded. “The people below…oblivious to the evil that resides above them. Part of me thinks they’re lucky.”
Fillip laughed. “Of course they’re not lucky. They’re nothing but fodder.”
A deep booming voice from behind the four rangers laughed, as they snapped into defensive stances and turned to face the source of the voice.
“You’re right, you know,” the man said. “They are fodder.”
A man in a high-collared black jacket stood with his arms crossed across his chest as he faced the rangers. A sly grin spread across his face revealing a pair of razor-sharp fangs. His eyes were white and featureless, and his blonde hair was gelled back across his head.
A blood-thirsty grin spread across Fillip’s face. “Looks like our wait is over, my dear…”
Oksana smiled as she stared at the warrior. “Show your true skin, demon-spawn…”
The Vyram, Koumori, mockingly bowed forward. “By all means…after you.”
The four rangers readied their braces.
“Heesh’neek Rayfor’ma!” the three Russian rangers shouted. Black energy swirled around Pyotr as his black Bison armor activated. Blue energy crackled around Fillip as his blue Shark armor came online. White energy enveloped Oksana as her white Tiger armor kicked online.
“Dragon changement!” Jean called as his red Tyrannosaurus armor activated.
Jean downloaded his blaster and fired several rounds that tore through Koumori as if he were made of paper, causing the Vyram warrior to collapse.
Fillip and the other two members of Animal Might readied their fist blades: four claw-like daggers sticking out from each hand.
“He’s not down yet,” Fillip said as he rushed forward with Oksana at his side.
Koumori flipped back to his feet and extended his palm while emitting a sonic energy blast that slammed into the rangers and blasted them off the building.

Armed guards dressed in black leather armor and dark helmets lined the rooftop of the Makiro building. They each had slight bio enhancements and were armed with armor-piercing rifles.
A blade boomerang wizzed through the air and cut down several guards as they armed their rifles and searched for a target.
A yellow blur of motion glided down from the air and slammed into one of the guards’ snapping his backbone.
Constance flipped from the fallen soldier and flying sidekicked another guard in the chest.
The soldiers took aim and fired, but Constance used her yellow-armored glider to swoop up into the air.
The guards aimed upwards to try and shoot her down as Max moved in and started to cleave through them with his longknives.
Constance landed just as Max drove his blade through the last soldier’s skull.
“Done this before?” she asked.
Max shrugged. “Once or twice.”

--Thunderstrike:"Operation Rising Sun-Phase Two"- part 8
Organized chaos reigned throughout the main security post as guards tried to locate the ranger teams attempting to infiltrate their base.
The post was a square room with three columns of computer terminals in its center. Guards and technicians, each possessing small bio-enhancements, manned the computer terminals as a Vyram warrior stood by anxiously awaiting results.
He wore a dark suit jacket over a plain white shirt, and had black slacks. His hair was died blonde and streaked backwards over his head. A scar ran from the right side of his forehead down to his cheek bone. His eyes were deep violet.
“Where are they?” he asked impatiently.
One of the guards shook his head. “Koumori is engaging a group of four just outside in sector alpha-three.”
The violet-eyed man drew a gun and blasted that guard through the skull. “I know that already, people…where are the others…”
The bodies of three mangled Wraiths crashed through the wooden door and slammed onto various computer terminals as Jason, Tristan, and Zacherie entered the room.
Tristan aimed his blaster at the warrior. “Ask, and ye shall receive…”
Tristan fired several shots that tore through the violet-eyed warrior and sent him crashing onto a computer monitor, sending sparks flying everywhere.
The guards drew their firearms and started blasting at the three rangers as they moved in.
Jason snapped off a blade boomerang that disarmed a guard in front of him. That guard pulled a small stun-stick from his belt and swung towards Jason’s head. Jason blocked the blow as he snapped the guard’s arm and backfisted him in the face. Jason followed through with a reverse sidekick that smashed the guard’s ribs before sending him flying off his feet and crashing into a back wall.
Tristan moved in with his curved blade, and used his weapon to deflect the bullets coming from a guard in front of him. Once he moved in close enough, Tristan spun his blade and chopped off the arm of the guard that was firing at him. Tristan followed through by running his blade through that guard’s neck.
Zacherie tossed one of his stakes, and the blade punctured through a guard’s chest. The ranger then flying sidekicked that guard, slamming his heel against the blade and driving it further through the guard as the soldier went flying backwards and ended up pinned to the far wall.
The Vyram warrior, Sukon, flipped back to his feet as the rangers watched his wounds heal and body transform. His skin became rough and green like that of an alligator, and his face turned reptilian, complete with a serpent-like tongue that sat between rows of spiked teeth. The scar still ran along the right side of his face.
Data flashed before the rangers’ visors, identifying the warrior as a Gamma seven threat-level.
“Hit him,” Jason said as he snapped off a blade boomerang and Tristan and Zacherie fired their blasters.
Sukon flipped through the air towards the rangers as their blasts bounced of his hide. Sukon double kicked Tristan and Zacherie backwards and snapped his foot towards Jason’s head.
Jason grabbed the warrior’s leg and slammed his elbow against the creature’s kneecap before backfisting him across the face with his left hand, then arming his fist blades and slamming his right fist into the warrior’s gut.
Sukon slammed his head into Jason’s faceplate, then slammed his elbow across the ranger’s helmet.
Jason spun with the blow to lessen its impact as he downloaded one of his swords and speared it through the warrior’s side. Sukon howled with pain before kicking Jason upside the head and knocking him to the ground.. He grabbed hold of the blade and pulled it free from his flesh as the wound quickly healed.
“I hate it when they do that,” Jason grumbled as he rose to his feet.
Tristan moved forward with his blade in one hand and swung his weapon horizontally towards the warrior’s neck. Sukon blocked the blow with his forearm, then flipped backwards while slamming his heels against Tristan’s chin.
Sukon landed as Zacherie moved in from behind and jammed two of his spike through the warrior’s back. The Vyram screamed as he reached backwards, lifted Zacherie off his feet, and tossed the ranger aside like a rag doll.
Jason moved in with his right fist blade, and Tristan with his left fist blade, and the two slammed their weapons through the warrior’s chest while knocking his legs out from under him and sending him crashing through a computer monitor.
“We may want to leave one of these in tact, you know,” Tristan said in regards to the computers.
“I’m more worried about keeping us in tact,” Jason said.
Sukon rolled backwards and rose back to his feet as blades of green bone sprung from his forearms and extended back towards his shoulders. The villain dashed forward while aiming his blade towards Jason’s throat.
Jason downloaded his twin swords and swung his weapons through an ‘x’ pattern that snapped the blade off the warrior’s arm. Jason followed through by kneeing the Vyram in its injured chest, then elbowing him on the back of the neck.
Sukon backfisted Jason upside the head and the ranger went flying off his feet and slamming against the wall.
“We’re running short on time,” Zacherie said as he downloaded his blaster and fired on the warrior.
Jason rose back to his feet and joined the other two rangers.
“Zacherie,” Jason said, “take one of the computer terminals and get to work. We’ll keep greeny off your back.”
“Sounds like fun,” Tristan said as he downloaded his blaster and fired at the Vyram. Zacherie lowered his weapon and ran to the nearest computer terminal to begin hacking into the building’s system.
Sukon pounced through the air to attack Zacherie, but Jason grabbed the Vyram by the shoulders.
“Oh no you don’t,” Jason shouted as he pulled the Vyram backwards and slammed the warrior against the wall.
The Vyram leaned forward and bit Jason on the neck, his jaws threatening to rip through his armor plating.
Tristan moved in to the red ranger’s aid and jammed his sword through the warrior’s side and underneath his ribcage.
Sukon kicked Jason backwards and backfisted Tristan across the helmet with one hand, following through with his other fist in a hook punch.
Jason rose back to his feet and noticed a severed power wire off to his left. He smiled underneath his helmet as he snapped off a blade boomerang that slashed across Sukon’s back.
Sukon turned, but before hr leaped to attack, he noticed the wire and snarled his teeth. “Do you take me for a fool?”
“Yes,” Jason said.
Tristan double flying sidekicked the back of the warrior, sending Sukon flying off his feet towards Jason. The ranger grabbed the wire and slammed it against the warrior, causing power fluctuations throughout the building as the warrior fried.
Sukon’s charred body collapsed to the ground as Tristan shook his head. “That smells quite fowl…”
“I have an opening for them,” Zacherie said from his computer monitor. It won’t stay open for too long.”
“They’ll make it,” Jason said as he nodded. “Let’s get to the rendezvous point before…”
His words were cut off as a group of Wraiths piled into the room.
“Great,” Jason said as he downloaded his blaster and started firing.

Yuuri was in her Thunder Phoenix armor as she ran across the roof of a smaller skyscraper and leapt off, bulleting towards the windows across the middle of the Makiro building.
She crashed through the window and rolled across the floor of a lobby area lined with tables and chairs before pulling herself back to her feet, downloading two blasters, and firing at a group of six guards that fell instantly to her attack.
She ran to the end of the lobby and kicked through a door, landing in the middle of a small hallway as she aimed down both ends and fired her blasters simultaneously, mowing down the guards on patrol.
She ran down the end of the hall and kicked through another door that led into a dark mail sorting room.
“Where are they?” she asked herself quietly, wondering why Jason, Tristan, and Zacherie weren’t at the rendezvous point.
Groups of Wraiths poured into the sorting room as Yuuri downloaded her daggers and moved in.
***
A group of guards covered in black leather armor and wearing dark helmets stood by the elevator doors and waited for them to open. Squads of Wraiths were engaging the enemy several floors down, and they were being called in as backup.
Before the elevator doors could open, they exploded as a torrent of flame knocked the soldiers back.
Constance gliding forward and flipped through the air before slamming her heals against a guard’s chest and crushing his ribs.
Max moved in and snapped off a blade boomerang before downloaded his longknives. He used his left blade to spear through a soldier’s chest while he swung his right blade around and cut through a guard’s throat.
Max and Constance were allowed entry into the elevator system by Zacherie’s work. Their job was to travel from floor to floor and sporadically strike at Vyram guard units to cause disorder among their ranks.
The remaining three guards backed away from Max and Constance before undergoing a transformation. Their flesh became covered in brown fur as their muscles ripped through armor. Their faces became twisted, pale, and monstrous as they stared ahead with yellow eyes.
“That’s a new trick,” Max said as he stood in a fighting stance.
“I don’t impress nearly as easily,” Constance said as she downloaded a pair of daggers and threw them at the lead guard. The blades punctured through the creature’s chest, snapping his bones and puncturing his flesh as Constance moved in and flying sidekicked the monster, then pulled out her daggers and stabbed the creature through his temples.
“Obviously not,” Max said as he tried a similar trick with his longknives, but the guard he was aiming for caught the blades and tossed them aside. “Hey!”
Max dashed forward and slammed his elbow into the beast’s throat before spinning and snapping a hook kick across the guard’s head. He picked up his longknives and swung in an ‘x’ pattern as he decapitated the guard.
The remaining creature leapt up behind him and roared. But before the guard could strike, Constance landed on his shoulders and twisted the guard’s neck with her legs. She flipped to the ground as the soldier’s lifeless body collapsed to the ground.
“Nice footwork,” Max said.
“Why thank you,” Constance said.

Ryo grabbed Saijuu by the horns and kneed the warrior in the gut several times before releasing his grasp and hook punching the creature across the head.
Before Saijuu could counterstrike, Artur snapped off four feather darts that struck the warrior in the back of the neck.
Saijuu howled in pain as he turned to face the yellow ranger, just in time to see Artur swooping forward on the small gliders attached to his arms.
Artur armed his fist blades and struck his hands forward as his fists slammed into Saijuu and pushed him backwards while the claw-like fist blades punctured through his leathery hide.
Saijuu grabbed Artur and purposely fell and rolled backwards as he kicked the ranger in the chest and flipped him backwards.
Saijuu rose back to his feet and turned his head slightly to his right to see Xavier slowly walking towards him with a small rifle in each hand.
“Farewell,” Xavier said as he fired on the warrior’s wounded chest. He unloaded several dozen clips before Saijuu collapsed to the ground and exploded.
Small entrances opened throughout the lobby as more Wraiths poured inside.
The metal sheets sealing the rangers inside the lobby opened, thanks to Zacherie’s work. Xavier turned and faced the streets outside.
“Fallback,” he said as he turned and walked backwards towards the lobby exit while blasting the incoming Wraiths with his rifles.

--Operation Rising Sun: Phase Two: part nine
Jean had landed through the roof of a parked car, while the three Russian rangers had crashed against the pavement nearby.
The bat-like Vyram Koumori landed on the streets below and snarled his fangs.
Pyotr was the first to rise to his feet. The black Bison armed his claw-like fist blades and charged towards the Vyram warrior.
Koumori flipped backwards as he kicked Pyotr upside the head. The warrior then extended his hand and fired a sonic pulse that sent Pyotr flying across the street and crashing through the window of a manga shop.
Fillip dashed towards the warrior with Oksana at his side. The blue Shark activated fin-like blades across his forearm, and the white Tiger downloaded two slender daggers.
Oksana pounced forward and swung her daggers towards the warrior’s head as Fillip swung his forearm toward Koumori’s face. The Vyram erected a sound barrier that intercepted the blows before knocking the two rangers off their feet.
A wicked grin spread across Koumori’s face. “You four are so much fun…like little dolls…”
“Glad you’re amused,” Jean said from the side of the warrior.
Koumori turned to his left to face the red Tyranno ranger and extended his hand in a challenging posture. “Come…”
Jean downloaded two short curved blades and dashed towards his opponent. Koumori extended his hand and fired a jagged blast of sonic energy that the ranger flipped over as he descended towards the Vyram and swung his two blades towards the warrior’s head.
The Vyram high blocked the blow as the blades struck into his leathery skin and cut down against his bone. Jean landed and pulled his swords back as he twisted around and swung his blades horizontally, cutting along the warrior’s chest.
Koumori hissed as he opened his jaw wide and spat venom against Jean’s faceplate. The venom started to eat through his armor as he stepped backwards and tried to wipe the venom from his helmet.
From the warrior’s left, shots tore through the air and cut through his flesh as he lifted his arms in a futile attempt to protect himself.
The blasts stopped as Koumori looked to see Xavier walking towards him with his rifle in hand. Ryo and Artur walked on either side of him with their swords held ready.
Wraiths poured on to the streets from behind Koumori and rushed towards the newly arrived rangers.
Koumori smiled at Jean. “You’re not the only one with friends.”
“Clever,” Jean said.
Pyotr, Fillip, and Oksana regrouped around Jean as the Vyram warrior crouched into a fighting stance.
“We have to hurry,” Pyotr said. “Our window is closing…”
Jean’s party was tasked with carrying out the job of actually springing Seven from the Vyram building. Jason’s group had created a loophole in the building’s security systems that they could use to enter undetected, but the loophole wouldn’t stay open forever.
Xavier and his group cut through the Wraiths to try and reach the other rangers.
Xavier used his rifle like a club, swinging the weapon across a soldier’s head and crushing the creature’s skull. He swung the barrel of his weapon up and fired point-blank at another Wraith’s chest. The blast disintegrated the center of the soldier’s body as the charred remains were tossed backwards.
A Wraith leapt towards Artur, and he grabbed the creature before snapping its neck. He let the soldier collapse to the ground before snapping off two blade darts at a soldier in front of him.
Ryo screamed a war cry as he slammed his fist blade through the neck of a soldier, then sidekicked the soldier and used his heel to smash in the creature’s face.
Nearby, Fillip was swinging at Koumori with his fist blades, but the Vyram was dodging and twisting to avoid each strike.
“Stay still!” Fillip shouted.
Koumori grabbed Fillip’s wrist and twisted before slamming the heal of his foot against the ranger’s faceplate.
Oksana moved in next and swung her dagger horizontally towards Koumori’s throat. The Vyram bent his back backwards as the dagger passed over him. He bent back up and backfisted the ranger across her helmet.
Pyotr charged towards Koumori and tried to tackle him, but the Vyram warrior leapt over the ranger while slamming his fists against Pyotr’s back. Pyotr fell to the ground as Koumori landed back on to the war-torn street.
Jean moved forward in a lightning-quick blur of motion as the jagged armor plating across his arm sprang to life. He swung his forearm across the Vyram’s head as his weapons tore through the creature’s dense flesh.
Jean stepped forward and slammed his right fist blade into the warrior’s chest, then twisted to open the wound further.
Koumori kicked Jean backwards.
“Bastard ranger,” the Vyram spat as black ichor dripped from his lips.
Xavier knocked the last of the Wraiths away before aiming his rifle at Koumori and firing.
The blasts started to tear through the creature as Jean moved in, downloaded his curved blades, and speared them through the Vyram’s opened wound before it could completely heal. He pulled the blades apart and tore open the warrior’s chest as he howled in pain.
Jean front kicked the warrior in the face before downloading his blaster and firing. The energy in Koumori’s body overloaded as the warrior exploded.
“It’s too late,” Pyotr said as he walked besides Jean. “We missed our window.”
“Fools!” Ryo shouted as he lifted his hand to backfist Jean across the helmet.
Xavier grabbed Ryo by the wrist and twisted before swiping the feet out from underneath the ranger, causing Kabuto Raijya to fall to the ground.
“I don’t suppose we have a plan b,” Fillip said cynically as he crossed his arms across his chest.
***
Yuuri dashed forward and jammed one of her daggers through a soldier’s throat as she swung her other blade horizontally to her right, slitting the throat of another warrior. She moved forward while front kicking a Wraith in the face.
More Wraiths piled into the mailroom as Yuuri downloaded her blaster and started firing at the soldier’s front lines.
The ceiling suddenly collapsed as dozens of Wraiths from the level above fell down along with the rubble. The dust started to clear and Yuuri saw Jason, Tristan, and Zacherie standing with their weapons ready.
“That was just a little reckless,” Yuuri said as she moved forward and knifed down a Wraith that had dragged itself back to its feet.
“I knew you wouldn’t be in our way,” Tristan said as he slammed his fist blade through a Wraith’s chest. “You’re too smart for that…”
“Flattery doesn’t become you,” Yuuri said as she knifed down another soldier.
“What can I say,” Tristan said as he jump kicked a soldier in the face. “You bring it out in me.”
Jason rolled his eyes underneath his helmet.
“We have a small problem,” Zacherie reported as he close-lined a Wraith, his armor blades tearing the soldier to shreds. “Jean’s group missed their window. They can’t get in undetected.”
“Damn,” Jason said as he hook kicked a soldier across the head. “We’ll have to use Max and Constance. Have Jean’s group rendezvous will Xavier’s and attack the building head on. Try to split this place’s defenses.”
Zacherie nodded as he kneed a soldier in the gut. “Done.”

A pair of armed guards dressed in black leather armor and helmets with dark visors walked down the dark halls that served as the Vyram’s holding area. They passed a single door which was guarded by another pair of troopers.
The guards turned to face the troopers. “You’re relieved,” the male guards said in a thick accent.
The troopers look to each other in confusion, then the guards struck. The lead guard jammed the end of his rifle into a trooper’s throat as the female guard slammed her rifle across the other trooper’s temple.
The two troopers crumpled to the ground as Max and Constance removed their helmets.
“That was too easy,” Max said.
Constance nodded as she eyed the touch pad at the door in front of her. “This is a small problem though. I don’t know a lot about these contraptions…”
Max shrugged as he ran his fingers through the back of his hair thoughtfully. “We’ll just blast open the door.”
Constance smiled at him. “Ever heard of a thing called subtlety? It’s gotten us this far.”
They heard growling noises from both ends of the halls as they saw two Vyram warriors closing in on both sides.
One of the warriors’s had a bulky body ripping with muscles and covered in scaly purple skin. His dark hair was pulled back in a ponytail, and his eyes were solid yellow. He wore no shirt and had black leather pants covered in light plating of silver armor. Columns of bony spikes ran from his four arms up to his shoulders
The other Vyram was skinny and covered in yellowish brown flesh. He had four blood-red eyes with diamond slits of black. His hair was jet black and shaved down to his scalp. He had a pair of fangs protruding from his mouth and six arms. He was dressed in a black leather vest of armor and black leather slacks, both covered in light platings of silver armor.
“I don’t suppose your subtlety can help us now, huh?” Max asked as he readied his transformation device.
Constance smiled at him. “Let’s hope your fighting hasn’t become as dull as your wit.”
“Touché,” Max said.
The two activated their armor.
“Thunder power, strike!”
“Dragon changement!”
The two warriors charged towards the rangers while howling out war cries.
“Get Seven,” Max said. “I’ll keep these two knuckle-heads busy.”
“Try not to get killed,” Constance said as she downloaded her blaster and shot through the door’s locking mechanism.
Max downloaded his longknives as the two warriors rushed towards him. “Let’s play, boys.”
At the last possible moment, Max leapt straight up into the air and the two warriors slammed into each other.
Max landed behind the six armed Vyram and dashed towards the warrior’s back while swing both his blades towards the Vyram’s neck.
The warrior whipped around before Max’s attack could strike and slammed his six fists across the ranger’s side. Max slammed into a wall as his longknives dropped to the ground.
The muscular Vyram charged forward and slammed his shoulder into Max’s chest, knocking air from the ranger’s lungs.
“Ya know,” Max struggled as he spoke. “I just met you and frankly…”
He folded his hands together and bashed his fists against the warriors neck, causing the Vyram to fall to the ground. “…I’m quite offended.”
The Vyram warrior sprang back to his feet and slammed his right forearm across Max’s helmet. The ranger was smashed through the air to the other side of the hall where the six-arm Vyram caught him in midair and started to squeeze tightly across his chest, threatening to crack Max’s ribs.
Max slammed his head backwards and against the Vyram’s nose. The warrior slacked his grasp enough for Max to break free and elbow the Vyram in the ribs before sidekicking the warrior in the gut.
Max dropped to his knees, struggling to catch his breath as he looked up to see the purple-skinned Vyram charging towards him.
“Sometimes a guy just can’t catch a break,” Max mumbled.
Before the large Vyram could attack, a man leapt onto the warrior’s back and wrapped a chain around his neck.
“Beneath his arms!” the man shouted just before the warrior reached back, grabbed his assailant, and tossed him against the wall.
The Vyram then stretched out his arms towards Max as he leapt towards the ranger. Constance slammed on to the warrior’s back before he could strike and drove her daggers beneath the warrior’s arms.
The Vyram screamed as the weapons punctured his flesh and bone. Constance flipped backwards while ripping across the warrior’s sides and backs.
The warrior collapsed to the ground as Constance flipped back to her feet and turned to face the six-armed Vyram.
The that had saved Max struggled to his feet, and Max noticed for the first time that the man was Seven.
Seven clutched his chest as he stood feebly. “Increase your armor’s heat output. It will confuse his senses…”
Seven started to keel over in pain, but Max ran over to his side and caught him, draping the agent’s arms around his shoulder for support.
“Gotcha, big guy,” Max said.
Constance armed her glider and zoomed towards the Vyram as she increased the heat output on her armor. The Vyram was distracted as Constance moved close enough to jam her blades into two of the warrior’s eyes and through his brain.
The Vyram collapsed to the ground as Constance turned to face Seven. “Thanks for the tip…”
“Don’t mention it,” Seven said.
“Let’s get the hell out of here,” Max said.
Seven nodded. “Before these two’s little brothers show up.”
They heard the screeching of Wraiths and other monstrosities come from down the hall as they started to run off.

Vince zoomed in his view of the end of the tunnel with his visor. “They’re coming…”
“Finally,” Sergei said as he sprang to his feet, assumed a fighting stance, and armed his claw-like fist blades.
“Oh gods…” Nekram said as he hid behind Matt.
A small explosion tore through the end of the tunnel as Max flipped through the flames and Constance glided through the smoke with Seven on her back. The three landed and Constance handed Seven off to Vince and Matt.
“Go,” she said.
Vince and Matt held Seven steadily between them as they ran down the cavern.
Sergei ran forward and started swinging his claws as he tore through the incoming Wraiths in a blur of savage fury and rage.
Max and Constance turned to stand their ground as they gave Vince and Matt enough time to get Seven above ground before the Vyram found out where it led to.
Vince and Matt followed the tunnel and entered the sewer systems. They followed the system to their designated location and entered street level through a manhole cover in a dark alley.
They pulled Seven up and powered down their armor as they moved out of the alley, and found themselves behind a lineup of police cars and SWAT-type units. They had their weapons aimed at a battle taking place in front of the Vyram’s building.
Jean’s group and Xavier’s group were battling two Vyram warriors and an army of Wraiths.
One of the beastial Vyram warriors spotted Vince, Matt and Seven, and wrinkled his brow. The warrior was covered in dusty white fur and had six red eyes running across its forehead. The beast had two horns on its head, and a column of spikes running down its back.
The Vyram sprang forward and darted past the line of law enforcement officials as they shot their weapons and screamed in panic. They may as well have been shooting blanks.
Vince and Matt readied their transformation devices.
“So much for the easy way,” Vince said quietly to himself.
“Thunder power, strike!” the two rangers shouted as they activated their armor.
“Go,” Vince said to Matt. Matt nodded as he started to carry Seven off.
Vince launched a flying sidekick against the Vyram that knocked the warrior from the air. The two landed as Vince armed his fist blades.
Matt looked behind him and noticed he couldn’t move fast enough with Seven over his shoulders. He spotted an abandoned motorcycle and walked over to it with Seven in tow.

The director of the Vyram building sat in a wide office with his chair turned away from the entrance so he could look out the large glass window to the battle below.
By all accounts, he seemed like your normal Japanese business man. He wore a black suit and his hair was neatly combed and slicked in a part.
The doors to his office exploded in as Jason, Yuuri, Tristan, and Zacherie jumped through.
“Knock, knock,” Tristan said as the man slowly and nonchalantly turned around in his chair to face the four rangers.
“You’ve caused quite a stir in my fair city,” the man said as he slowly rose to his feet and tugged at his jacket.
“We’re just getting started,” Jason said as he downloaded his twin swords.
The man arced an eyebrow. “Is that so?”
His eyes turned dark red as his skin started to ripple. A third eye emerged from the center of his head as his muscles ripped through his clothing. Mandibles erupted from his mouth as a row of spike started to run from his head down to the tip of his spine. He grew a long tail and his body became covered in tan shell-like armor plating.
The rangers’ visors ided the Vyram as a Delta Two threat level; the highest they'd ever encountered.

Matt weaved in and out of traffic as he tore through the streets on the motorcycle he commandeered. Seven sat behind Matt with his arms wrapped around the ranger’s waist.
The Vyram had thrown subtlety to the wind and sent swarms of Wraiths jumping through traffic in pursuit of Matt and Seven. The creatures leapt over the roofs of cars and trucks as they closed in on their prey.
Matt handed Seven his blaster and the ISIS agent angled backwards and shot at two Wraiths perched on top of an SUV. The creatures were blasted backwards and went slamming through the windows of oncoming vehicles. Cars swerved out of control and collided with one another, causing a massive pileup.
“Turn left up here,” Seven instructed.
Matt cut a hard left and barely missed being run over by a pair of cabs as he opened his throttle and shot forward against oncoming traffic.
A Wraith leapt from the roof of a truck, grasped onto a stop light and used it to swing forward and pounce towards Seven’s back. The agent aimed backwards and blasted a hole through that Wraith’s chest.
Matt poured on the speed.

Vince shot forward towards the white-furred warrior and jammed his fist blade into the Vyram’s midsection. The warrior countered by slamming his horned head against Vince’s face plate.
Vince stepped backwards in a slight daze as the warrior swiped his claws across Vince’s chest armor. The blow sent Vince crashing to the ground as the warrior leapt on top of the ranger, reached down, and wrapped his powerful claws around Vince’s throat.
Vince struggled to break free from the choke hold, but the Vyram was too strong. He downloaded two daggers and drove the blades through the Vyram’s arms. The warrior howled in annoyance, slacking its grasp enough for Vince to push his legs up and use his feet to flip the Vyram backwards.
Vince flipped back up to his feet and turned to see the Vyram already recovered and charging for another attack.

The Vyram, Kaigara, snapped his mandibles as Jason, Yuuri, Tristan, and Zacherie assumed fighting stances.
Kaigara used his massive tail to knock his desk away before charging forward with his claws outstretched to attack.
Jason and Yuuri snapped off blade boomerangs as the four rangers jumped to avoid the massive Vyram warrior. The weapons bounced harmlessly off the Vyram’s shell.
Tristan and Zacherie each downloaded a pair of blasters and fired at Kaigara, but their shots had no effect. The warrior lashed the two French rangers with his tail and sent them flying backwards against and slamming against the wall before crumpling to the ground.
Jason downloaded his twin swords and moved in. Kaigara swung his tail towards the ranger’s head, but Jason ducked underneath the blow and leapt forward. He tried to drive his two blades between the shell covering the Vyram’s shoulder and neck, but his blades ricocheted off of the warrior’s armor. Kaigara grabbed on to Jason’s neck and tossed his aside like a piece of unwanted trash.
Jason slammed into Yuuri and the two fell backwards as the Vyram charged forward to press on the attack.
Before Kaigara could attack the two rangers, Zacherie and Tristan tackled the warrior and pushed him backwards towards the wide window. They slammed the Vyram through the window, shattering glass as they tumbled outside and fell towards the streets below.
Jason and Yuuri ran over to the broken window and watched the three plummet towards the battle ground below.
Yuuri looked to Jason. “Still scared of heights?”
Jason nodded. “Never stopped me before though.”
The two rangers jumped down towards the dark streets below.

Kaigara rose to his feet as Jean’s group and Xavier’s group surrounded him. Tristan and Zacherie rejoined them and Jason and Yuuri landed not too long afterwards. Max, Constance, and Sergei ran up from the tunnel along with Nekram. The shamed Vyram ducked into the shadows to hide while the three rangers joined their teammates.
Kaigara growled and snapped his mandibles. “You will never leave here alive. I will tear the flesh from your bones and feast on…”
“Save it,” Jason said as he stepped forward and downloaded his twin swords.
“Very well,” Kaigara said. “Enough talk…”
The Vyram lashed forward with his tail as Jason and Tristan leapt over the blow and flipped towards the warrior.
Tristan swung his curved blade towards the Vyram’s head, but Kaigara caught the weapon with his mandibles and tossed the white-armored ranger aside.
Jason swung his blade in an ‘x’ pattern against the warrior’s neck, but his blows did no good and Kaigara slammed the back of his fist against Jason’s chest.
