The Rangers and Serion watched in silence as another ranger slid off their Savage Cycle that resembled a hawk. The uniform looked like Merrick’s only where the white was, it was black and the blue was replaced with red. The helmet looked like the face of a hawk. “What are you staring at?” the ranger asked. “Let’s get this battle started.” They were still silent. If the ranger saw Merrick, they didn’t act like anything was wrong. The ranger drew their weapon. It was a whip with three holes in the handle. The ranger attacked fiercely. They turned around and also attacked Serion.
It had been over an hour. Serion was weakening. “But so are we…” Max thought. He looked at the new ranger. They never seemed to tire and just kept attacking. He had never seen someone fight like that. He glanced at Merrick and hoped Cale wasn’t watching.
“Guys! Combine your weapons! He’s weak enough!” the new ranger called. They did as they were told. The monster was still standing. “Hahaha! You rangers think you can wipe me out?!?! It’s impossible to destroy a general!” With that, Serion teleported away.
The rangers ran to Merrick’s side. Even the unknown ranger. The unknown ranger crouched down beside him. Cole grabbed the ranger’s arm. Everyone had demorphed except for this one. “Who are you?” Cole asked. The ranger wrenched their arm out of Cole’s grasp. “I’m not the one you should be wondering about,” the ranger said, pointing to the seemingly lifeless Merrick. “Get him back to the Animarium,” the ranger commanded. The unknown ranger mounted the Savage Cycle and rode away.
“Merrick moved!” Alyssa shouted. He had been lying still on a table for three days. “It was only his thumb, but he moved!” The others came running. They had gotten him to demorph and they could see he was badly injured. The rangers were all standing around him. Cale stood away. “You know, if you stand around watching him, it’s not likely he’ll move for you,” she pointed out. “Cale’s right,” Taylor agreed. They backed off. Alyssa looked at Cale. It seemed as if she had been in a rather odd mood lately, however she wasn’t truly worried about that. She was thinking of the new ranger. The ranger had still not shown up anywhere. She looked at Merrick again. He wasn’t making much progress.
Cale sat by herself and nervously tugged her sleeve over her wrist. The rangers couldn’t see and she didn’t want them to. She looked at her brother who she had only reunited with a couple weeks ago. He looked dead. She couldn’t look at his pale face any longer. She had to do something. She looked at the lump under her sleeve near her wrist.
Cole was watching Cale very closely. She had been acting weird lately. His heart told him that she had something to do with the new ranger, but he didn’t know what. He would just wait and see. The sacred pool erupted. “There’s a new monster.” They all knew what it meant. The new ranger might show up again.
They raced down to the city. They saw it waiting for them. “You’re going down!” Max shouted. “You don’t have a chance!” Alyssa yelled. “Even the Power Rangers can’t stop me and I’ll prove it to you!” the monster replied back. They drew their weapons.
Cale waited until the others left. “Merrick, I’ve got to leave,” she told her comatose brother. She drew the Hawk animal crystal from her pocket and summoned the Savage Cycle that resembled it. “Wild Access!”
Taylor heard the sound she and the others were waiting for. The new ranger’s Savage Cycle. They turned around and watched. The ranger stepped towards them and snapped the whip. “What are we waiting for? Let’s fight,” the ranger said as they launched an amazing attack with the whip. “Solar Flare!” A red bolt of energy hit the monster. “Double Whip!” Somehow, the whip split into two pieces. The ranger attacked with both. “Roper Mode!” The ranger tied up the monster with the whip and detached the handle. The ranger held out the handle and a knife protruded from the end. The ranger started slashing crazily with the switchblade while the monster couldn’t move. The ranger unwound the whip and let out one last cry. “Solar Flare Rapid Fire Mode!” Instead of one bolt of energy, almost twenty flew out of the whip. The monster exploded. The other rangers went over to the unknown one. “Who the hell are you!?!?” Taylor asked. “I guess you’ve waited long enough.” The ranger took off the helmet. The rangers saw brown- black hair with two blonde streaks in front. Cole stepped forward. “Cale? But, you, how?” “Those Zords you found? They’re mine,” she said. She started to say more, but a crackling sound interrupted her. The monster grew. “Let’s call the Zords!” Max suggested. They called the Congazord. Cale fit the animal crystals into the handle of her whip. “Wild Zords, descend!” The hawk, panther, and swordfish appeared. “Wild Zords, combine!” The hawk formed the torso, legs, and head. The panther and swordfish were the arms. She was inside her own Megazord. She detached the handle of her whip and put it in a circular slot on the control panel from which she could pilot. She put the rest in holster on her waist. “Carnizord, awaken!”
