I have been thinking about selling my Power Ranger DVDs as I complete them or in series. I wasn't going to but I am trying to save for some new software that I want. I am still not sure whether or not I will sell them, so let me know what you think!

I would began by selling Power Rangers Ninja Storm

1 NS DVD is complete I titled it Prelude to a Storm (mine was titled and covered before the news of Disney even broke)

It contains the first 5 episodes recorded directly from mpeg 2 satalite to mpeg 2 on my computer (recorded from ABC Family), so there is no quality loss, and it has cool menues, and even three hidden features, and all of the commercials have been removed with professional edits. I plan on making the whole series in direct capture so let me know what you think. If anyone would be interested and so forth.

Oh, each one will also come in a jewel case with custom made cover and back designed by me.

Hmm... did you manage to remove the annoying robot popup that says what's coming next on ABC Family? I'm interested, your DVD version of "Prelude to a Storm" sounds a lot better than the one Disney is releasing... too bad they don't care about creating quality DVDs when it comes to Power Rangers.

Oh, and is there background music as well? E-mail me the menu layout and jewel cover design at bclayton1@earthlink.net, if you can.

I don't have the covers or menu layouts here at school with me so I'll try to e-mail them to you tomorrow.

And no I did not remove the robot. There is a way to do it with masks, but it generally ends up looking blurry and distorted so I am not going to remove the dreaded robot.

There is some background music, the only menu without music is the eps select page. I really didn't feel that it needed music, considering your just there to choose an ep.

I will also be finishing the second DVD which will be titled "Thunder Strangers," the eps are captured and all but one is edited; however, I have not had the time to design the cover, back, or some parts of the menu, but it will include the next five eps.

I guess that is all if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.

If you would rather e-mail me questions my address is: GreenRanger1@hotmail.com

What particularly is the background music for the PRNS DVD; the rock score during the ending credits, or an impartial song from the BoPR CD? (Impartial song means that the song can refer to any Ranger team than just a particular one.)

And what generally are the hidden features... are they Spanish, English, or French subtitles? Or are they something else?

GreenRanger, I'm buying Disney's DVDs but if they don't do season sets soon I may consider your offer, I'm getting very impatient with Disney's lack of commitemnt to PR DVDs, I can get ther firsts eason fo a Random Sit-Com on DVD that'll probably last for a little less than a second season, yet PR is around for 10 yueasr adn the older fans can't buy DVDs, Disney is ingoring a fanbase here that they could be makig money off f and that's iritates me, everybody wins when they make DVDs and they're hurting themselves, just think if they released UNCUT episodes how many people would buy them?

Are you going to do "Return of Thunder" on DVD as well and what are you charging?

Actually the DVD Authoring software I have doesnt support subtitles thats one of the reasons I want some new software!

Eventually I will put all of Ninja Storm on DVD. I make them as I get the eps off ABC Family.

For the first DVD, the main menu plays the Ninja Storm theme song, then the bio menu, and the bios play Hope for The World.

As far as special features go, I included a bio of each of the wind rangers. The text came from ABC Kids bios, on the web page but I designed a little thing around them. I also put three hidden videos (these videos were taken form VHS and are not of the quality of the episodes) of the commercials introducting each of the wind rangers. Tori, Dustin, and Shane.

My next DVD will feature Bios on Blake and Hunter, which I will probably have to write, but they will be written in the same manor as the bios on ABC Kids web site. The menu, cover art, etc.. are not complete yet so I can not offer you much there. Also the songs are undecided at this point. I am hoping to get to work on it sometime this week, but it might be next week before it gets done.

The price of the dvds are undecided so far. It really depends on the price of the DVD-Rs and the materials for the printer. Right now probably about $15, plus S&H.

Oh, sorry I forgot the pics. I'll try to remember to bring them to send tomorrow.

If you have a captioning system on your TV (for people that are deaf), you can rig that up and write down the lines. Then you can use the site freetranslations.com to translate the lines into Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Italian. (Sometimes the captioning system catches coversations in the background, as well!)

If you ever get a new DVD authoring system that supports subtitles, this may be of some use to you.

I'll keep that in mind. The thing is my computer will capture the closed captioning just like if you use a VCR Tape, its just my DVD authoring software does not allow you to use subtitles. It totally stinks, but there is not much I can do about it when software cost so much that's why I am looking at getting new software, so I am not as limited on what I can do.

Thanks for the info though.

I forgot the pics again. It was storming pretty bad last night and I didn't want to fry my computer by using it during the storm.

Well GreenRanger1, I'd liek tos ee the ocver art wehn Possible, also I have an idea if you don't mid for a "Frienmdly Competition" pf sorts.

I want to see pictures though if possible because you sound lie you have sme cool stuff. I'd be glad to Send people epsidoes froma nythign I had right no I'm only charging for the Disc but if peole want beter stuff they should work together to help me get better equipmment to fix the video, and burn nicer Discs.

Everyone Shut up! Use your brains for once. Don't buy DVD's from people you dont know. These encodes are probaly shit. Visit #Power-Rangers on the Blitzed network for HQ NS encodes.

I sent you guys some stuff from the DVD. I sent it to you all at once so, if might get filtered out, depending on how you have your e-mail set, so check the junk mail section, look for an e-mail from GreenRanger1 and the subject says something like Ninja Storm DVD. Please let me know what you all think!!!!

Note: RitaRepulsaRox, the e-mail I sent you was returned because you have too small of a limit set for the attachments you recieve. You need to set that to a larger limit if you would like to see my work.

GreenRanger1, will you resend the last e-mail with the pictures to me? jcreed15@comcast.net

The menus and cover look great... although it's not as good as the one Disney is releasing, but still good.

Glad to here you like my work. Like I said in the e-mail my cover is not as good as Disney's cover, but I really like my menu backgrounds. In my opinoin they are far better then the BOPR DVD meny backgrounds, but that is just my opinion, until I can see Disney's Ninja Storm menus I really can't honestly rate them to that. If the rest of you would let me know what you think I would appreciate it. Every opinion can help produce a better end result!

Note: MegaRedIsEvil I resent the pics to you in another e-mail, so please let me know what you think--thanks!

Well, I just checked my e-mail and there was some kind of error, and it wont deliever to you. What is the amount of space you have set for accepting attachments?

My second power rangers DVD, intitled "Thunder Strangers" which features:

1. Thunder Strangers Pt. 2
2. Thunder Strangers Pt. 3
3. Nowhere To Grow
4. Return of Thunder Pt. 1
5. Return of Thunder Pt. 2

is almost complete. I will probably burn a test copy on my DVD-RW tonight to test it out, to make sure everything looks perfect. Once that is done I will complete the cover and back. If anyone would like to see these menus, feel free to post your address, and I'll e-mail you some stuff. (P.S. I will shrink the pics this time so that all the problems with the attachment limits will should be gone.)

I would like some opinoins though.

1. Should the beginning meny play the Ninja Strom theme, or The Best of the Best of the Best?

2. There is currently one hidden music video in the DVD, which was the video they played on ABCFamily prior to its airdate. Anyone have any suggestion for a second hidden feature?

3. I am about to start the third DVD, and I would like some ideas for special bonus features if anyone has any.

Thanks--GreenRanger1

How 'bout some bad guy bios.

I've been interested in buying your DVDs since you fist announced you were doing "Green With Evil". If you ever decide to fully distribute them, I'll buy them in a heartbeat.

Can you e-mail me the covers and such - jerry_p316@yahoo.com

Hey GreenRanger, what are all the eps you have made DVDs out of. From what I read, it sounds like you've really put a lot of work into them, which means they're probably really good. I'm also interested in purchasing a set depending on what eps from what series you have. Let me know.

I do not have the second cover done yet, but I will e-mail you the first cover, and some of the backgrounds to the menus tomorrow or monday, depending on when I have time. I'll send out the first cover, the first main menu, the first bio menu, the second main menu, and the second bio menu. The DVDs in my opinion are excellent and I am very proud of their quality! I will also send a screen capture from one of the DVDs so you may see the quality!

As of right now, I am only going considering selling Ninja Storm, the first few DVDs I did of MMPR were okay, but I have learned so much that I want to go back and redo them, to improve their quality!! Evetually I am going to try and make every season on DVD! Unforunately all of them will not be digital-to-digital transfer like Ninja Storm, that is unless ABC Family decides to re-air every season and then I could do it. However with summer break expect to see me get more then just 1 DVD every five weeks. I thinking of starting Wildforce on Monday, and then working my way through, so that eventually I would have Wildforce completely digital without quality loss.

That is all I can think of for now! Thanks for the interest!

Hey if anyone knows of any really good free web-space maybe I could make a little mini-site displaying my work on the DVDs. Then people could view it whenever they wanted. If you do let me know--thanks!

Well, here is a mini-site displaying the first two Ninja Storm DVDs! Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think!!!!!!

This new site will allow you all to check it out when every you want, and it will eliminate the attachment limit problems that occured when I tried to e-mail stuff to those that requested it. Anyways here it is:

http://greenranger1.100megsfree5.com/index.htm

Note: The site is not in anyway suppose to represent my skills at creating web-sites! I have created award winning web-sites in the past. This site is just to allow you to see my work on the DVDs!
