Well people this is it! Episode Three! I think this series has gotten some popular feedback so-far. I am excited by the reactions I've gotten so far, as always, thankyou for the feedback and comments, please continue this fine tradition!

Chapter 7

Sand stretched out for miles, seemingly without end. Only small villages and a tiny oasis here and there served to diversify the terrain.

The vulture’s vision followed its prey.

Like all vultures, he was a scavenger. He waited not for the opportunity to strike, but for the opportunity to eat the half-naked boy who had fled into the desert, for if memory served, humans didn’t last long out here, especially ones that were not prepared for the hazards the desert hid.

But the hungry scavenger’s meal plans were shattered, when it saw why the boy was running away. Two chariotmen, servants of the Pharoah, no doubt about it, were giving cause. The Vulture would remain nearby and wait. Meals were hard to come by out here.

“You’ll never get me back to the palace, I’d rather die in the desert than see my father again.” The boy said, as he ran.

The soldiers ignored the boy’s statement, and silently threw a net to prevent their quarry from escaping.

“Let me out of this thing, that’s an order” The child demanded.

“The Highpriests orders supersede yours.” The soldier said, dragging the child over to his chariot, then rode off in the opposite direction they were originally traveling.

A couple of minutes later, the twin chariots had passed the desert and found themselves in a spectacular city.

Outside one building in this city was an ancient temple, and standing just outside the building was a young individual, no more than ten years older than the young prince he had sent the soldiers to retrieve.

“Ahmed, what do you want this time?” The prince said, defeated

“I want you to serve Bast by serving the needs of the temple cat for the next week. You brought this on yourself with your blasphemy.” The priest said distantly

“She scratched me!” The boy pleaded

“It doesn’t matter, you know the laws. If you were a commoner, you’d probably be facing execution, now stop complaining and do as your told. I won’t say it again. Your father will hear of this next time this happens, I can’t keep keeping things from him. Look, my Prince, you’re my cousin, and I care for you in all, but I can only go so far. My duties as a Priest supersede the fact I am of your family.” Ahmed said

“I understand, sorry” The prince said

“Hurry up, the sun will be setting soon, Ra’s chariot travels quickly.” Ahmed said

The boy then silently went into the temple, escorted by one of the two soldiers.

“I sometimes wonder where our kingdom is headed” Ahmed said, his golden robes contrasting sharply with his tan skin.

“What do you mean High Priest” The soldier asked

”The previous priest is the one who declared all felines sacred, and placed slightly above people. I wonder which god told him that, surely Bast, but I wonder if Set had something to do with it.” Ahmed said

“Your still in training, the previous priest died before he could impart all his wisdom on you. Did you hear the rumors circulating about King Alexander of Greece?” The soldier asked, clearly changing the subject to something more favorable.

”Yes, he has united his native land with his adopted one, and is heading here last I heard. I wonder if our army is truly a match for his forces. I even heard he has never lost a battle where he himself has been present.” Ahmed said

“No, he’s undefeated so far. His battle tactics are truly revolutionary; our generals are still studying them to discover a weak point in Alexander’s strategy.

Meanwhile…..

The swirling green and blue maelstrom vanished, replaced by cloudless blue skies and desert for as far as the eye could see. Eric and Wes had arrived.

“Well Eric, what’s this hunch of yours?” Wes asked

“I’m not sure yet, lets land and unmorph, we don’t want to attract any unnecessary attention to ourselves.

Eric and Wes dismounted their vehicle, then demorphed, their Ranger armor giving way to the humans beneath.

“Geez its hot out” Wes said

“Well, it would be, considering this is the SAHARA DESERT!” Eric said

“I know that, are you in a bad mood or something?” Wes said

“Well, my armor was just destroyed by a mutant lizard, and that lowers our chance of survival quite a bit, so yes, I am in a bad mood, now lets hurry and find the next Ranger before my clothing goes out of style.” Eric said

“Next Ranger? What the heck are you talking about? You still haven’t told me why we came to this sandbox, now you babbling about another Ranger?” Wes said, wiping some sand off his shirt.

“According to that Time Guardian, each major era has a Time Slayer, a Ranger, and a Zord. The prehistoric past is Era One, after that humanity lived as primitive cave dwellers for a couple of thousand years until Humanity encountered another race of humans on the planet, the Babylonians. Wait how did I know that?” Eric asked

“Good question. Your saying that you and I are different types of Humans, could that vision you had after touching that stone have implanted knowledge into your mind your only now discovering?” Wes asked

“For now that’s our theory, but anyway, the Babylonians made a number of technological advances on their own. One was the discovery of Copper, the other Pottery. My people’s descendants had rediscovered fire and the wheel, and after a brief technological exhange from a few Babylonian merchants and Tribal Chiftains, my people began advancing out of the Caveman era, eventually founding numerous kingdoms all across Africa and the Middle East, the greatest of which became Egypt. That’s why we came here.” Eric said

“I see, WHAT?” Wes said confused

Eric shrugged and said, “Just hurry up and follow me Wes”

Not Far Away, inside a sinister Black Pyramid…

“And so, the enemies of my masters have finally dared to show up in my Time Period. They will find that I Darmeno-Ra, will prove to be much more of a challenge than Atomicuar ever was!” A sinister ghoulike creature wrapped in black bandages said.

Chapter 8

Ahmed saw the reconstruction of the ancient Sphinx statue nearby with some interest. It wasn’t long ago in his mind that he heard, or thought he heard, the voice of the majestic creature erupt from its prison of stone. He had been but a boy back then, around 12, and still very much in training for the priesthood. He, like most boys, was the rebellious adventurious sort, who longed to escape from his responsibilities.

He had slipped away from his master’s latest lession to go see the resently unearthed lion statue. The statue looked about One thousand or more years old, possibly older, and hinted at an ancient wisdom that nobody in the entire kingdom could possible equal.

Ahmed had went close to the statue, and the statue spoke to him!

It said deeply soulful and encouraging things, almost as if Ahmed had known the Sphinx his entire life. Ahmed had talked with the statue, about life, about the Gods, about fallen empires of old, about the future. The future, now that was a subject that Ahmed had always thought of.

Now, as a man, Ahmed saw the growing traditions and growing power of the Pharoah and Priesthood, and saw the lives of his people’s happiness decreasing little by little as a result. Their was even talk of making the guests of the previous Pharoah into Slaves amongst the nobles, all in the name of finishing building projects. Ahmed was forbidden to speak badly of the nobles, since they were not mortal beings, or so they said, but nevertheless, Ahmed wished he could leave his duties and take up the cause of the people, but without help, he could do nothing to help, he would only be executed by his fellow priests and mummified to serve the past Pharoahs in the afterlife. It was a sad state of affairs…

Cool. The Rangers are the easyiest to do, yet one of the most important parts of the Story.

Just remember: The Blue, Violet and White Rangers are Female.

Finished in scribing the latest of the vault of knowledge’s scrolls, Ahmed quickly placed his latest work in the hands of one of the assistant priests, and told him to store it away with the others.

One of the main jobs of the High Priest was to record the history of the kingdom when it happened, and store it away for future Priests to analyze.

Stepping out from the dusty old Archive Building, Ahmed let out a sigh of relief at the thought of being free for the rest of the afternoon.

His relief was short lived however…

“High Priest, Our long ranged scouts have reported seeing two strangers out in the desert, we believe they may be Greek spies working for King Alexander.” The frantic soldier said

Ahmed straighted his white robe, annoyed.

“Why may I ask, are you telling me and not the Pharaoh about this?” Ahmed asked

“He is busy with matters of state. One of the other High Priests, the one from Memphis I believe, has questioned him about the way he is handling the Advancing Greeks.” The soldier said

“Oh yes, that trouble maker. He serves Sekmet, God of Slaughter, what did you expect?” Ahmed said

A number of villagers nearby, who were previously quietly going about their daily lives, suddenly became eerily silent. Something sinister was about to happen.

“Oh, well, ready a chariot and an escort, I’ll ride out into the desert and capture these ‘intruders’ myself,” Ahmed said

“I will set out at once,” The soldier said, running off.

Ahmed looked at the sky above, black clouds were spreading out everywhere he looked , threatening to turn day into night within the hour.

“That’s odd” Ahmed said.

Meanwhile….

“Wes, hurry up, the village is only a couple of miles ahead of us now.” Eric said

“If I ever see sand again it will be too soon.” Wes said, trudging over a sand dune.

“Hey Wes, look at the sky, that’s odd” Eric said, wiping the sweat off his forehead

“Is it a sandstorm?” Wes asked

“No, its way to large, and too elevated for that. We should hurry.” Eric said

Suddenly an advancing cloud of dust appeared over the horizon.

“Eric, we’ve got company!” Wes said

The two strangers were even more bizarre than previously believed. They wore dark blue clothing and short Red turbans like the savage desert tribes who lived east of the Kingdom. They spoke in a strange dialect that Ahmed had never heard before, and their skin complexion matched the Greeks nearly perfectly, although they were slightly paler in complexion than even they.

“I presume those are our intruders” Ahmed said

“Yes High Priest” One of the three soldiers said

“Capture them, we shall bring them to the Pharaoh for questioning.” Ahmed said

One of the Soldiers tried to reason with the strangers, but they only responded in that strange language they spoke.

When one of the soldiers lost his temper at the apparent stupidity of these strangers (Egypt was the greatest empire of the world after all, only an idiot wouldn’t know how to speak the Egyptian Language.) one of the intruders pulled out a armband of some kind and began to utter more gibberish in that strange tongue of theirs, but the soldiers didn’t allow the intruders to work their foreign magic, and slammed the magician on the head with the blunt end of his spear, knocking him unconscious. The other stranger was stopped in his tracks when two of the other soldiers tossed a net over him. Then placing both intruders inside the large net, the Soldiers reboarded their chariots and drove off threw the desert towards the city of Cairo, where the Pharaoh’s palace was located.

One soldier handed one of the strange armbands the intruders attempted to cast a spell with.

“What strange magic these intruders possess don’t you agree High Priest?” The soldier asked

“Yes, but luckily you stopped them before they could use whatever spell they were about to cast. “ Ahmed said

“Clearly these strangers must be foreign agents of Alexander,” Another soldier said

“We shouldn’t jump to conclusions just yet. I’ve never heard that language spoken before, and I am educated on dozens of foreign languages as well as the various tribal dialects spoken west of here. Perhaps they are from the unexplored south.” Ahmed said

“Past the Deserts? That’s impossible, nobody has ever crossed the desert alive, unless.” The soldier started

“Unless they are agents of the Gods. Maybe, but I believe it is to soon to make any such judgments, let the Pharaoh question them, then we shall decide their fate based on his decision.” Ahmed said.

Chapter 9

The winds began to pick up. It was not the warm, dry wind of the desert, but a chill black wind. The kind of wind one might encounter in the grave….

Eric landed face first on the throneroom’s floor with a thud.

“That was not an exceptable response” The soldier said, not satified at the lack of vocabulary on the part of the prisoner.

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think he just cursed at us” Ahmed said

“Or he could be trying to curse us.” A soldier chimed in

“That’s quite enough Ahmed. There is an incoming war, and much blood will be spilled. I do not want any blood spilled before the war, is that clear?” The Pharoah said, his face mostly shrouded in shadow.

“I understand your eminence, but then what, should we do with them?” Ahmed said

“Do whatever you will. But I’ll tell you this, they don’t look or act like the kind of spies Alexander would use.” The Pharoah said

“Yet another fine predicterment you’ve gotten us into Wes” Eric said

“Silence you magic!” One Soldier said, moving to kick Eric.

“Stop, I’ll handle this” Ahmed said

“Where are you from? Do you even understand any of the words coming out of my mouth?” Ahmed asked the strangers

Eric said nothing, he did’n’t know what this, official was saying, he only knew that he wasn’t going to, or be able to under any circumstances, be able to even comprehend anything these savages said. But neither would they understand him. If only that universal translator thing from that Star Trek television show from the 20th century was real, then this entire language barrior would be gone. But even that didn’t guarantee anything either.

Just then, a messenger came frantically running into the chamber.

“My Pharoah, there is a strange Mummy creature ravaging the city. Or finest warriors have been unable to defeat it!”

“It seems we have an opertunity on our hands. We will prove once and for all if these strangers are friend or foe, by having them use their magic to defeat this mummy creature.” The Pharoah said

“But your eminence, that” Ahmed started

“Decision is final, give the two sorceiors their magic stones back, and make sure they are taken to the desert, if they survive the creature most likely sent by the gods, then they are are allies.”

The two soldiers standing guard on either side of the Pharoah went up to Eric and Wes, who were still restrained, and handed them their morphers back.

“Thanks, I think will shall be going now” Eric said, then prepared to morph, only to have a group of guards level spears into Eric’s face.

“I’m sorry, but you can’t leave unless you have the guardsmen accompany you to the desert to face the creature, Its beyond even my power as High Priest.” Ahmed said

“You speak English?” Wes asked surprised

“English? Your speaking the Kingdom tongue” Ahmed said

“All I hear is that same gibberish from before” The pharaoh said, confused

“Perhaps these are sorcoriors after all, they apparently have magic to transcend the language barrior”. Ahmed said

“Yes, can we go now?” Eric asked.

“Take them away, Ahmed, accompany them.” The pharaoh said

Darmono Ra snorted in contempt at the terrified Egyptian villagers fleeing in panic.

He strode forward like someone who was thousands of years old, and indeed, the creature who was Darmono Ra was ancient, or was he?

The Egyptian era timeslayer enjoyed casing the humans, but he sensed greater prey coming towards him.

“Ah, the two Rangers have finally decided to show up, this should be interesting.” The Timeslayer said

“Wes, I believe that’s our Timeslayer” Eric said, seeing the hideous mummy creature staring in total hatred at them.

“What is a ‘Timeslayer’? Ahmed asked, confused

“Way over your head” Wes said.

“Quantum Power! Era One, Prehistoric” Eric said, morphing into the armor and arms of the Red Quantum Ranger

“Quantum Power! Era Six, Modern” Wes said, morphing into the armor and arms of the Green Quantum Ranger

“You two sorcorers are truly amazing” Ahmed said

“We aren’t sorceriors, but no time for that” Wes said

“So, you two are the ones who defeated Atomicuar, you’ll find that I am a much more worthy opponent. I am Darmono Ra, the 2nd Era timeslayer, former High Priest of this Kingdom, and your destroyer!” And with his last line, Darmono Ra breathed a cloud of metallic locusts in Eric and Wes’ direction, who were barely able to dodge it.

“So that was that overgrown lizards name?” Eric said to nobody in particular.

“Quantum Laser, Destruct Mode” Wes said, summoning his sidearm and firing a beam of bright green energy at Darmono Ra.

“HAHAHAHAHA” Darmono Ra said, summoning a piller of sand to block Wes’ attack.

“Taste this!” Eric said, sending a red laser blast from his own Q-Laser in Darmono Ra’s direction.

Darmono Ra outstretched his arms, then closed them, summoning a column of wind and sand to block the attack.

“Any more pathetic Ranger tricks?” Darmono Ra said arrogantly.

“Wes, we could be in some serious trouble this time.” Eric said

Chapter 10

The two mystery warriors were losing. The part of Ahmed that was a priest saw this as proof that they were not agents of the gods. But the part of him that was human felt something entirely different-sympathy.

There was a secret Ahmed hid from the rest of humanity. A secret so personal that Ahmed had dared not tell a soul.

Ahmed had a morpher…

“Quantum Power! Era Two, Ancient!”

Ahmed’s left wrist bore the unmistakable likeness of a Timeforce Quantum Morpher, shining in the blazing desert sun.

The fierce energies, a combination of magic and science, lashed out of the morpher, engulfing Ahmed completely in their yellow radiance.

“What sorcery is this?” Darmono Ra said, clearly surprised by this latest turn of events.

“This kind” The yellow Quantum Ranger said, landing a fierce flying kick to the undead Timeslayer’s midsection.

“Now were talking” Eric said, delighted by the latest turn of events.

“Ankh Staff of the Ancients”

Golden light gathered in front of Ahmed’s morphed form, materializing a four-foot long staff made to resemble the Egyptian symbol for immortality.

“Now foul beast, is your time for judgment,” The Yellow Ranger said.

Without another word, a fierce laser streaked out from the tip of Ahmed’s staff and disintegrated the evil creature, clearly dumbfounding both Wes and Eric, who had tried their hardiest to defeat the same creature and failed.

“How did you do that?” Wes asked

“It is a long story.” Ahmed said.

“One we don’t have time to here unfortunately.” Eric said

“May I ask who you two are?” Ahmed asked, powering down (Eric and Wes did the same)

“We are from a couple of thousand years in the future, warriors chosen by a being calling himself the guardian of time to help find a recruit other similar warriors in order to stop some sort of extra cosmic evil.” Eric said

“What?” Ahmed said

“Well you wanted to know basically who we are, so I told you.” Eric said, shrugging

“And so I am one of these chosen as you put it?” Ahmed asked

“Apparently.” Eric said

The footsteps of Egyptian Soldiers could be heard nearby, slowly getting louder and more noticeable.

“We must hide.” Ahmed said, panicking

“Why, what are you so afraid of?” Wes asked

“I” Ahmed started

“There you are Ahmed, and with the sorcerers no doubt.”

“The warriors are truly sent by the gods captain.” Ahmed said

“The Pharaoh will be pleased, but we have little time, the armies of Alexander are coming as we speak, the Pharaoh has ordered the evacuation of this village.” The Captain said

“The citizenry have already fled to escape the creature,” Ahmed said

“Good, in that case, we must rendezvous with the rest of our forces and plan our defense.”

Meanwhile…Space.

Baron Akila fiddled with a few consoles on the bridge of his serphent like ship. The vessel had just moved forward in time about 50 thousand years, about the same time period his employers had estimated the two Rangers had fled to.

Helskorne walked into the room in an excited manner.

“Ah, Helskorne, just the man I wanted to see.” Baron Akila said

Akila knew Helskorne was eager to avenge his defeat that occurred earlier that day, and played on those emotions.

“When can I go into battle Master?” Helskorne asked

“When I see fit. I believe however, we may have a solution to our Ranger problem.” Akila said, summoning the image of what appeared to be Greek Cavalry galloping threw the desert. (This replaced the normal view of outside the ship.)

“What is that may I ask?” Helskorne asked, puzzled Akila would view such a primitive army as a match for warriors that had defeated him.

“I’m glad you asked. This is Alexander the Great, King of Macidonia and Greece, and commander of one of the most successful conquest operations in Earth’s history. Apparently, the next few days in this time period are destined to pave the way for the eventual downfall of the Egyptian Empire.” Akila said

“And that helps us how?” Helskorne asked.

“There are two ways to accomplish Time Slaying as our employers term it. Number One: With a Time Slayer monster, or Number Two: By altering events to create a temporal paradox to the point of the time/space continuum becoming unrepairable.” Baron Akila said

“And how do we do that?” Helskorne asked

“Simple my dear Helskorne, we must form an alliance with Alexander the Great.” Baron Akila said.
