This is the first of 10 or more episodes that I will release on Fridays. If I do not make a season 2 of this than I will make a brand new series filmed. A building displays "Angel Grove Community College."
INT. Mr. Cohen's Classroom - Morning
Oliver Scott, a 19 year old college student sits in class among his peers. His best friend Ryan Meadows sits across from him on the opposite side of the table. Oliver counts down the minutes until class ends. Mr. Cohen is walking down the aisles passing out fliers.
Mr. Cohen:
Alright guys and girls, the SGA is sponsoring a dance with all proceeds going towards new additions for the school. I'm sure fixing the damaged pool table fits into that category eh Mr. Scott?
Scott reads the flier and sees Ryan laughing at him for being called out over damaging the pool table. Oliver balls up the paper and throws it at Ryan.
MR. COHEN:
And ladies, PLEASE cover more than just your breasts and backsides. It's a benefit dance, not a strip club.
Mr. Cohen sees the clock and realizes that class time is over. People begin preparing to leave.
MR. COHEN:
Ok everyone, I expect your reports emailed to me before midnight. We are quickly approaching the end of class, so don't mess up now.
Everyone leaves the room.
INT. AnGel grove Community College Hallway - Morning
Ryan catches up to Oliver.
Ryan:
Dude this dance is going to own! I got the perfect girl in mind.
Oliver:
Who?
Ryan points across the room. Oliver looks and sees a beautiful female throwing trash away. Her hair is blonde with one pink streak.
RYAN:
Alexis Graves.
Oliver pats Ryan on the back.
OLIVER:
Nice. Well while you go show her the moves I taught you, I'll be in the game room.
RYAN:
(Laughs)
Alright later Oliver.
Int. Game Room - Morning
Oliver enters the game room which is crowded by a group of friends. One of them notices his arrival.
Ray:
Oliver James Scott!
OLIVER:
What's up Ray? Ready to lose at some Ping Pong?
RAY:
Oliver, I've beaten you every time. So has everyone else in here.
OLIVER:
Fine! Fine! I'll stop letting you guys win.
RAY:
(Laughs)
Fine lets go.
Ray and Oliver begin playing. Ray scores a point right away.
OLIVER:
Beginner's luck.
Time passes and Oliver is defeated easily in each game. Oliver looks at his watch and is stunned by how late it is.
OLIVER:
I gotta go, Dad's going to kill me if I miss practice with him.
Oliver rushes out of the game room.
EXT. Oliver's Home - Evening
Oliver arrives home to find his father standing on the front porch waiting for him.
Dad:
You're late Oliver.
OLIVER:
Yeah I know I'm sorry I just lost track of time.
DAD:
Alright lets go to the backyard.
Oliver and his father are now in the backyard in thier fighting stance circling each other. Oliver charges first with a fury of punches and kicks to which his father blocks. His father grabs his arm and flips him to the ground. Oliver leaps to his feet and engages again. His father dodges all of Oliver's attempts and is once again knocked to the ground. Oliver's father extends his hand and helps Oliver up. Oliver brushes himself off.
OLIVER:
How did you get so good at this Dad?
DAD:
(Smiles)
Let's just say I've had a lot of practice. Come on, let's get back inside. That's enough sparring for one night.
Oliver's father wraps his arm around Oliver's shoulder as the walk into the house. Once inside, Oliver sits on the couch and turns on the television when his father approaches him handing Oliver an ice pack.
DAD:
Whatcha watching?
Oliver takes the ice pack.
OLIVER:
Oh it's this show where these two people go around the world searching for buried treasure using ancient maps.
DAD:
(Laughs)
Still haven't grown out of believing in buried treasure have you?
OLIVER:
Hey! Trekkies have Star Trek and I have buried treasure.
DAD:
I bet you haven't even looked at that treasure map I gave you when you were ten have you?
OLIVER:
Oh that rinky dink piece of paper?
DAD:
Well have you even tried using it?
OLIVER:
No.
DAD:
Well how do you know it's not real?
Oliver gets up from the couch and grabs the map that he has in a old shoe box thats cluttered with compasses and other treasure hunting equipment. Oliver walks back into the room where his father has taken over the television. His father sees Oliver putting on his shoes.
DAD:
Where you going?
OLIVER:
To prove to you that map is fake.
Oliver walks out of the door. His father smiles shaking his head before taking a sip of his drink.
EXT. Outside Of Oliver's Home - Evening
Oliver picks up a shovel and a flashlight. He pulls off the ribbon that keeps the map rolled up. He reads the map and realizes how ridiculous it looks. He then enters the woods in search for the buried treasure. After a few minutes, Oliver finds the destination located on the map. He begins digging and can't believe it when he sees a wooden box. Oliver reaches down and grabs the box. He opens it to find three golden coins which flash the colors green, red and pink. Oliver closes the box and hurries back to the house.
INT. Oliver's Home - Evening
OLIVER:
You knew there was something out there didn't you?
DAD:
What are you talking about?
Oliver hands his father the box.
OLIVER:
It was exactly where the map said the treasure would be.
Oliver's father is surprised as well.
DAD:
What are the odds?
Oliver's father opens the box and sees the three coins. He picks up the coin inscribed with a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Immediately he is hit with a flashback of him morphing revealing he is Jason Lee Scott, the original Red Power Ranger.
Oliver:
Dad? Dad are you alright?
Jason breaks out of the trance.
OLIVER:
What was all that about?
Jason:
(Takes a deep breath)
Sit down Oliver.
Oliver sits listening intently.
JASON:
Back when I was your age...
A flashback begins to play.
JASON:
I was asked by a man named Zordon to help defend the Earth from a sorceress named Rita Repulsa.
Zordan: (O.s)
Alpha, Rita's escaped. Recruit a team of teenagers with attitude!
JASON:
Together me and four others banded together to become known as the Power Rangers.
Jason shows him the Tyrannosaurus Coin.
JASON:
This was my coin, the Tyrannosaurus.
Oliver isn't sure whether or not to believe him.
OLIVER:
You're joking right?
Jason looks at Oliver showing that he is serious. Jason looks at the other coins and picks up the Dragon coin.
JASON:
(To himself)
Tommy.
OLIVER:
Who?
JASON:
Tommy Oliver, my best friend. I named you after him.
Jason shows Oliver the coin.
JASON:
This was his.
OLIVER:
Well I bet he'll be happy to know we found it.
JASON:
I'm sure he would have.
OLIVER:
Why? What happened?
A flashback begins.
JASON:
I had just arrived home from my 5th trip as a peace ambassador to Sweden. We had made plans to have dinner to catch up on each others lives but I lost track of time. When I realized I was late, I rushed to the restaurant, but when I got there it was too late. People were huddled in the street. The police were trying to clear the area. Then I saw Tommy's wife. Then I knew by the look on her face that something had happened. So I broke through the crowd and there he was laying on the street with blood pouring from his chest.
OLIVER:
Dad I'm so sorry.
JASON:
If I hadn't been so careless I might could've prevented it! Here.
Jason places the coin in Oliver's hand.
JASON:
I want you to have this. You can't tell anyone about these coins. I mean it.
OLIVER:
I won't.
JASON:
I can't believe the power coins still exist. Tommy told me that they were destroyed in the explosion.
Jason leaves the room and returns with a morpher.
OLIVER:
What's that?
JASON:
It's a Power Morpher. It allows us to morph into Power Rangers.
Jason places the Tyrannosaurus coin in the morpher.
JASON:
It's Morphin Time! Tyrannosaurus!
Nothing happens.
JASON:
The powers must be dormant.
Jason picks up the other coins and carries them to the computer desk. He pulls out a device similar to a photo scanner. He places the coins on the scanner.
OLIVER:
What are you doing?
JASON:
This is an energy scanner. If it finds any, it'll restore the power to the maximum. If only we had this back when I was a Ranger, but I geuss it all worked out with Tommy becoming the White Ranger.
OLIVER:
I didn't think you could even start a computer much less do something like this. Where did you learn all this?
JASON:
An old friend taught me a few things.
The computer beeps. The text "Restoring to Full Power" is displayed on the computer. Jason picks up the coin again and places it inside the morpher.
JASON:
It's Morphin Time! Tyrannosaurus!
This time it works transforming Jason into the Red Ranger. Oliver can't believe it. Jason checks himself out in the mirror.
JASON:
Wow, fits like a glove. Power down!
Jason demorphs. He looks at his watch and sees that it's midnight.
JASON:
It's time for me to get some sleep. You should do the same. Night.
OLIVER:
Night.
Oliver takes one more look at the Dragon coin before heading to bed.
Ext. Street in Angel Grove - Night
A man is walking down the sidewalk under the street lights. He is dressed in a dark blue trenchcoat. A scar above his left eye is visible. Two thugs dressed in street clothes spot him and stand in front of the man blocking his way.
Terrance:
Well look at this Darius. I guess it's true what they say "All the freaks come out at night.
The man remains silent. He walks between the two thugs. The thugs block him again.
TERRANCE:
How did you escape from the mental hospital freak?
The man remains to silent and walks past them again. The thugs stay in place this time.
TERRANCE:
Hey! When I talk to you I expect you to talk back!
The man stops the turns around with his hand extended as if his hand is a gun.
DARIUS:
Come on let's get out of here Terrance, this guy is crazy.
Man:
(Under his breath)
Click.
TERRANCE:
Man you're crazy, you need Jesus!
MAN:
(Under his breath)
Boom!
Terrance goes flying through the air. Darius stands in shock then begins running away.
MAN:
Where do you think you're going!?
The man extends his hand with his palm outwards. Darius is frozen by some invisible force. The man slowly begins to close his hand. The sound of Darius' bones crushing is heard. Darius screams in pain until he succumbs to death. The man walks over to Terrance's body and squats down.
MAN:
Who's the freak now?
EXT. Downtown Angel Grove - Morning
The man is now standing in the middle of the street. A car pulls up and honks the horn.
Angry Driver:
Hey buddy! Move!
The angry and impatient driver honks his horn.
ANGRY DRIVER:
Come on man I'm going to be late for work.
The man extends his hand, a invisible force lifts the car into the air.
Man:
Don't worry I get you there in now time!
The car is hurled through the air and plows into a building. The witnesses run away screaming.
INT. Oliver's Home - Morning
Oliver walks into the room to see Jason focusing heavily on the television.
Oliver:
What's going on?
Jason:
Look.
Oliver turns to the television and watches as the citizens of Angel Grove run in hysteria as cars are being fly into buildings and other cars.The T.V. fades into the news coverage.
EXT. DOWNTOWN ANGEL GROVE - MORNING
The coverage is midway through the coverage. The man is floating in mid-air.
News Reporter:
Well Angela it doesn't look good. As you can see behind me the citizens of Angel Grove are running for their lives. If you look closely behind me you can see the man who police are claiming as the source for these attacks levitating in the air. Truly a scary day for Angel Grove.
The man notices the news crew. He draws the camera in front of him. Televisions around the world turn to the coverage of the events in Angel Grove. We go back live to the destruction.
MAN:
Citizens of Earth, I am Kinesis, your new ruler. For years I have been locked away within the Power Coins. All those who oppose me, THIS is your fate!
Kenesis uses his telekinetic power to spin the camera around displaying his destruction. He turns the camera back towards him.
KENESIS:
Your militaries cannot stop me. Yo..
Kenesis is interrupted by the sensation of water repeatedly splashing in his face. He looks down and sees a priest shaking a bottle of holy water at him. Kenesis descends back to the ground.
Priest:
May the power of Christ compell you and banish you back to the depths of Hell Satan!
Kenesis grabs the priest by the throat.
KENESIS:
Satan has NOTHING on me!
The priest is hurled down the street. Kenesis brings the camera down in front of him.
KENESIS:
Nothing can stop me.
Clay warriors resembling gargoyles appear.
KENESIS:
Claygores! Leave nothing left standing.
Kenesis turns around and disappears.
INT. OLIVER'S HOME - MORNING
Jason turns off the television unable to watch anymore.
JASON:
It's happening again. We've literally created a monster.
OLIVER:
What are we going to do?
Jason picks up the Dragon Coin from the coffee table and places it inside the Power Morpher. He hands it to Oliver. Oliver is reluctant to take it.
OLIVER:
Shouldn't you being doing this? I mean you've been a Power Ranger before.
JASON:
Oliver it's your responsibility now to protect Angel Grove. Now here.
Jason places the morpher in Oliver's hand.
JASON:
When you morph call upon the power of the Dragonzord.
Oliver looks down at the morpher as it glistens in the sunlight.
JASON:
And Oliver, let the power protect you.
OLIVER:
Right. It's Morphin Time! Dragonzord!
EXT. DOWNTOWN ANGEL GROVE - MORNING
Oliver is teleported to Downtown Angel Grove. Five Claygores spot him.
OLIVER:
He sure didn't bother making you guys look nice did he?
The Claygores, offended, assume fighting position.
OLIVER:
Alright let's go!
The first Claygore charges. Oliver blocks,punch to the stomach, turns around, and sidekicks the second Claygore. The third Claygore throws a punch but Oliver catches it, twists his arm, and flips him to the ground. The fourth Claygore puts Oliver in a full nelson. Oliver pushes himself off the ground and kicks the five Claygore to the ground. Oliver breaks the full nelson, elbows theClaygore in the stomach, and sweep kicks him to the ground. Oliver brushes the dust off his hands.
OLIVER:
Well that wasn't too hard.
All of a sudden, more Claygores show up and surround Oliver.
OLIVER:
Just HAD to go and say it didn't I?
Oliver pulls out his Dragon Dagger and begins taking them out one by one until they all disappear. Kenesis reappear and sees the defeat of the Claygores. He then takes a look at Oliver.
KENESIS:
This war is just beginning Green Ranger.
A bright blinding light surrounds Kenesis. Oliver reaches out.
OLIVER:
Wait!
But it's too late. Kenesis disappears into the light. Oliver teleports back to the house.
INT. OLIVER'S HOME - Afternoon
Oliver arrives home now demorphed. Jason rushes to hug him.
JASON:
You did it Oliver! I'm proud of you.
OLIVER:
Thanks Dad but that guy, he said the war has just begun.
Jason puts his hand on Oliver's shoulder.
JASON:
Yeah, but if you keep fighting like you did, it'll be over before you know it.
Jason smiles at Oliver as they share a special father-son moment.

Well Angela it doesn't look good. As you can see behind me the citizens of Angel Grove are running for their lives. If you look closely behind me you can see the man who police are claiming as the source for these attacks levitating in the air. Truly a scary day for Angel Grove.
The man notices the news crew. He draws the camera in front of him. Televisions around the world turn to the coverage of the events in Angel Grove. We go back live to the destruction.
MAN:
Citizens of Earth, I am Kinesis, your new ruler. For years I have been locked away within the Power Coins. All those who oppose me, THIS is your fate!
Kenesis uses his telekinetic power to spin the camera around displaying his destruction. He turns the camera back towards him.
KENESIS:
Your militaries cannot stop me. Yo..
Kenesis is interrupted by the sensation of water repeatedly splashing in his face. He looks down and sees a priest shaking a bottle of holy water at him. Kenesis descends back to the ground.
Priest:
May the power of Christ compell you and banish you back to the depths of Hell Satan!
Kenesis grabs the priest by the throat.
KENESIS:
Satan has NOTHING on me!
The priest is hurled down the street. Kenesis brings the camera down in front of him.
KENESIS:
Nothing can stop me.
Clay warriors resembling gargoyles appear.
KENESIS:
Claygores! Leave nothing left standing.
Kenesis turns around and disappears.
INT. OLIVER'S HOME - MORNING
Jason turns off the television unable to watch anymore.
JASON:
It's happening again. We've literally created a monster.
OLIVER:
What are we going to do?
Jason picks up the Dragon Coin from the coffee table and places it inside the Power Morpher. He hands it to Oliver. Oliver is reluctant to take it.
OLIVER:
Shouldn't you being doing this? I mean you've been a Power Ranger before.
JASON:
Oliver it's your responsibility now to protect Angel Grove. Now here.
Jason places the morpher in Oliver's hand.
JASON:
When you morph call upon the power of the Dragonzord.
Oliver looks down at the morpher as it glistens in the sunlight.
JASON:
And Oliver, let the power protect you.
OLIVER:
Right. It's Morphin Time! Dragonzord!
EXT. DOWNTOWN ANGEL GROVE - MORNING
Oliver is teleported to Downtown Angel Grove. Five Claygores spot him.
OLIVER:
He sure didn't bother making you guys look nice did he?
The Claygores, offended, assume fighting position.
OLIVER:
Alright let's go!
The first Claygore charges. Oliver blocks,punch to the stomach, turns around, and sidekicks the second Claygore. The third Claygore throws a punch but Oliver catches it, twists his arm, and flips him to the ground. The fourth Claygore puts Oliver in a full nelson. Oliver pushes himself off the ground and kicks the five Claygore to the ground. Oliver breaks the full nelson, elbows theClaygore in the stomach, and sweep kicks him to the ground. Oliver brushes the dust off his hands.
OLIVER:
Well that wasn't too hard.
All of a sudden, more Claygores show up and surround Oliver.
OLIVER:
Just HAD to go and say it didn't I?
Oliver pulls out his Dragon Dagger and begins taking them out one by one until they all disappear. Kenesis reappear and sees the defeat of the Claygores. He then takes a look at Oliver.
KENESIS:
This war is just beginning Green Ranger.
A bright blinding light surrounds Kenesis. Oliver reaches out.
OLIVER:
Wait!
But it's too late. Kenesis disappears into the light. Oliver teleports back to the house.
INT. OLIVER'S HOME - Afternoon
Oliver arrives home now demorphed. Jason rushes to hug him.
JASON:
You did it Oliver! I'm proud of you.
OLIVER:
Thanks Dad but that guy, he said the war has just begun.
Jason puts his hand on Oliver's shoulder.
JASON:
Yeah, but if you keep fighting like you did, it'll be over before you know it.
Jason smiles at Oliver as they share a special father-son moment.
