AUTHOR'S NOTE: Power Rangers: Grand Tour is a fan-fic season that I hope to eventually write that will precede this writing which is a Post-Finale Mini-Series if you will. I had the idea for the team up before coming up with the plot for the season and I think it would spark some real interest in the series fic to backtrack and see how the GT characters got to where they are during Reignite. This is not a DBGT crossover, I just couldn't come up with a better name for the series... my apologies.

I will be treating the fics as if they were actually airing on JETIX & ABC Kids and because of that a Press Release will be posted immediatley and other things of that nature will be soon to follow to build and grow excitment to the tenative premeire date of July 7th.

I realize that this possibly should have gone in the stickied thread due to the fact the actual first writing won't be posted for exactly 30 days, however due to the fact that there will be daily postings to build up to the first episode being posted I assumed that the series should have it's own thread... if that assumption is wrong I will make no fuss about this being moved and I apologize... just don't ban me!

The Press Release is on it's way in a few minutes and I'm looking forward to some feedback/constructive critiism, just let me know what you think!

Power Rangers: Grand Tour – Reignite PRESS RELEASE

Power Rangers: Grand Tour (starring Amy Jo Johnson) has been a tremendous success for ABC Kids, Toon Disney, and the JETIX brands respectively this television season. The season’s ratings have at times rivaled the ratings of the original Ranger series and toy sales have absolutely flourished throughout the year for Bandai America. Because of this, Disney has decided to embark on not only a Power Rangers but also a Live Action first – a multi episode mini-series to companion and expand on Grand Tour, which had their finale air last week on Toon Disney’s JETIX block.

Now although the Power Rangers franchise has done mini-series in the past (notably Jason David Frank’s introduction to the series in Green with Evil and the highly acclaimed Season 3 arch Mighty Morphin’ Alien Rangers) Power Rangers: Grand Tour – Reignite will be unlike anything the series has ever seen. Reignite will not only feature Johnson’s Ranger team-mates of Grand Tour (Blake Lewis, Lee Thompson Young, Rachael Taylor, & Jason Dohring) but also her former team-mates from Power Rangers: Zeo and those who accompanied her in starting it all, the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers! Also involved in the mini-series will be the popular cast of Power Rangers: Dino Thunder, including the Ranger Icon himself, Jason David Frank! On top of that, several villains and allies from the past will be returning for multiple episodes along with several of the series' original writers, directors, and producers to help write and direct episodes!

Disney deemed this as the right and proper thing to do for the loyal and dedicated fan base of the show and also as the smart thing as the fandom has been clamoring for a reunion of the original Rangers since not only the onset of the Grand Tour season but throughout the show’s entire run with the Disney brand. The 10-episode Mini-Series will begin airing Monday, July 7th at 8pm ET on Toon Disney and will be replayed every Saturday morning on ABC Kids (check your local listings). Bandai America will reveal their Reignite toy line within the coming weeks and the line will be released July 8th to coincide with the 1-hour premiere episode of Power Rangers: Grand Tour – Reignite!
