((Thank you everyone for your feedback. Please keep helping me make my writing skills better! Also I know I need to work on my grammar.))

An old power has been restored. The mighty morphin coins are now active once more. Alpha 6 and a new mentor must find 5 new teenagers to protect Angel grove, as Rita Replusa returns with Lord Zedd for one last final showdown.

Chapter 1: The Return of Power

Busy typing away, Alpha 6 is rewiring the consoles as a dark figure in the back-round is searching through a list of every student the area from their location.

“Are you sure we’ll need new rangers?” Alpha questioned naively.

“Yes, Rita and Lord Zedd are returning.” The dark figure responded. “I know it. Since the Machine Empire attempted to reawaken Serpentara, Lord Zedd has been moving around in attempts to rebuild his lost empire. My informant, Andros, has been following him since the attack.”

“Ay yi yi yi ya.” Alpha cried out. “I hope this works.” Turning back to his work, Alpha began to take a soldering gun to the console next to him. The action caused a loud, violent spark he screamed as the dark figure chuckled at his old friend.

“Alpha that’s not how you do that.” The dark figure exclaimed with a smile in his tone.

While across town a group of teenagers are sitting not knowing what would happen to them, or what was about to become of them, all they knew was that they would have homework tonight. Their normal lives seemed very nice to a few, and to some terrible but little to their knowledge, their town is actually the city of the once powerful Power Rangers. The city was a living history book. Though the hype of the rangers had wandered off to another place and time, it was still known to all of the now adults and grandparents of Angel Grove that rangers once in habited this small city. Now these children sat in the beginning of the original rangers, where their very journey was about to begin.

“Justin!” Mrs. Applebee yelled across the crowded classroom. “Pay attention please.” The years have passed and so have students but Mrs. Applebee still stood at the front of the classroom teaching the newer generation of children. Soon to be the leaders of the world sat in front of her.

“Yes, Mrs. Applebee.” Justin Allens spoke softy. Quietly another boy snickers at Justin.

“Way to go, Just.” Adam Krintz laughed. “You’re supposed to watch the board, not your wannabe girlfriend.” He snickered out.

“Mr. Krintz,” Mrs. Applebee spoke “do you have a comment to share with the rest of the class?”

“No.” Adam answered quietly. Now it was Justin’s turn to snicker. Soon as the class winded down, the bell rang.

Right as students began to rise from their seats, Mrs. Applebee choked out her last few words for the day. “Now class, read sections six for tomorrow and take notes over the section.” After that was said, students began to fill out one by one to go to their lockers.

The halls of Angel Grove High School were finally redone after the disappearance of Astromema. The lockers were fixed, although a few still jammed up from time to time. Though that really didn’t matter too many of the students, the students of this fine school worked hard and some just sat around. These children knew nothing of the past of their city.

Somewhere out in space, an evil being and his wife were slowly getting ready for their travel to the planet they once terrorized. Earth was there destination, and soon they would depart from Master Vile’s spaceship.

“Rita!” A loud spite filled voice cried out.

“Yea, what do you want now Zedd?” Rita quickly lashed out.

“Are you ready to go back to the moon base?” Lord Zedd asked his wife of many years.

“Yes, Zeddie Pooh.” She answered back

Grunting Zedd looks to his wife and asks “Why did I ever marry you?”

Quickly Rita looks to Zedd and tries to think of a logical reason that he would possibly believe.

“Zedd, don’t you remember the day we fell in love?” She questioned him, wondering if the false memories in his head were still in place.

“Of course, my dear Rita.” Zedd lied.

“Great now let us depart for Earth!” Rita screeched.

Quickly alarms sounded in the rebuilt command center. The new lights flashed just a bright as before. Looking around at his handy work, Alpha slowly began to punch in new coordinates to begin configuring the computers. Frustrated, Alpha kicks the console causing it to spark terribly and the lights to flash, putting the computers into panic mode.

“Alpha!” A voice called to the small robot. “What did you do?”

“Sorry,” Alpha responded back. “I made the panic mode kick in.”

“It’s alright.” The voice called out. Walking over to the robot, the dark figure handed Alpha five different names. “Now, Alpha could you run these five names and tell me if they are suitable for the power.”

Taking the paper, Alpha looked to the young man standing in front of him. The gentleman next to the robot had grown up very much from when he first met him. His predecessor Alpha 5 had known him longer, but the information passed to him was interesting. The young man was the original leader for the mighty morphin team. Standing there in his blue jeans and usual red shirt was none other than, Jason Lee Scott.

After taking his robotic gaze off the paper Jason just handed to him, and processed the names into computer. When the names were finished processing, Alpha printed the list out and handed it over to Jason. With the new ranger’s names, Jason figured it would be best to view them and find out more about them. He knew the place to go to, The Youth Center.

“Come on, Trish!” A young lady yelled to her friend. The young lady danced in a pink t-shirt and worn down blue jeans, with her flowing brown hair flying around, while her moves mimicked the beat of the music playing behind her. The young lady was in an impromptu dance competition with a fellow student of Angel Grove High School. “Come on, you’re the best dancer in the school. Come on!” Another student yelled to her. All this young lady could hear was the music, as it controlled her every move. It was a sixth sense to her. Knowing exactly what move to make and when, the young girl only heard one other shout, but this one was special. It was from the one person she had a crush on in the school. This seventeen year old was probably one of the most popular girls in school, thing is, she didn’t hang out with the so called “cool” crowd. All the boys in the school liked her, but she only liked one. Soon, she heard him shout out “I know you can beat that girl!” The young man was always wearing some type of the color blue, and the usual blue jeans he seemed to wear everyday.

“Wow, Nicholi. You’re really cheering her one today.” A young lady announced as she walked up to the young man in blue.

“Well, it’s because she really is the best dancer in school, Abby.” The boy in blue said to his best friend of many years.

“I think you like her.” The young lady in yellow claimed. “Nicholi, you always get excited when she’s around. Always more hyper, energetic and you just get the jitters.”

“Abby?” Nicholi asked the girl in yellow.

“Yea.”

“Do you think Trish might go out with me, possibly?” He asked.

The young seventeen year old looked to her best friend in blue. With her brown hair at her shoulders, and her favorite yellow shirt on, she pondered the thought. Inside she always thought he might like her, but she knew deep down that he liked her other best friend. It was ok with her though, she liked someone else. A young man that had some strange affection with the color red, he was Trish’s other best friend. Since Abby and Trish were best friends they both proclaimed their love for the others best friend to each other. Problem with Abby liking him was that he was in love with Trish also. This killed Abby inside but she held some hope that Trish might convince him to like her.

“Nicholi, if I know Trish as well as I do, you just have to ask her.” Abby said to him.

“You just had to leave me hanging like that didn’t you?” Nicholi asked slightly frustrated.

“Yep.” She said with a huge grin on her face.

While the two were discussing their friend, Justin Allens and Adam Parks walked into the Youth Center. The young men walked in wearing their usual gis, one in red and one in black. Walking around the huge crowd on the mats, the noticed their friend, Trish having a dancing competition with a fellow female student.

“Adam, one of these days I’ll ask Trish out.” Justin proclaimed to his best friend.

“You say that everyday, Justin.” Adam laughed while stretching.

“That’s because she’s like a little sister to me, but yet she isn’t like one. You know I’ve known her since kindergarten. She just amazing.” Justin swooned over the young girl in pink.

“Whatever you say, Justin lets just start our workout.” Adam laughed out once more.

Soon the music ended and the crowd dispersed, with the two girls shaking hands. It was a fair battle and seventeen year old in pink prevailed over the other young girl. Since the competition was over, Trish walked over to the location Abby and Nicholi were at.

“Hey Nicholi,” Trish said with her face blushing “Hey Abby.”

“Hey Trish!” Abby jumped with excitement. “That was an amazing routine you had, way to go girl.”

“Yea, it was really,” Nicholi choked out “great.”

“Thanks.” Trish whispered while blushing.

Sensing the little tension in the air, Abby quickly decided to walk over to a table and leave the little “lovebirds” alone.

‘No, don’t leave Abby.’ Both Nicholi and Trish thought in their minds. With the eerie silence, Nicholi coughed while trying to think of something to talk about.

“Um…” Nicholi stuttered. “Do you want to go up to the bar and get a smoothie, you look really thirsty.” Delighted and slightly shocked, Trish responded with a yes.

The two walked up to the juice bar and ordered a strawberry smoothie. After taking a drink of hers, Trish said, ‘Thanks Nicholi, I really appreciate it. So…..” She began to choke out. ‘I didn’t think it would be this hard to talk to him.’ Her mind raced as she looked for a quick escape. “You want to go sit with Abby?”

“Sure, Trish.” Nicholi pushed out of his mouth. His mind was blank; all he could think about was how beautiful she looked at the moment. He was going to ask her something, but now he couldn’t remember. All Nicholi knew was that this girl was his dream. He just wanted to ask her out but every time the seventeen year old boy tried, his mind would go blank.

The two walked to the table where Abby was sitting. With a smile, she waved them over. Nicholi and Trish approached the table, and Nicholi jolted in front of Trish.

“Here let me get the chair.” He said softly to her. With a nervous laugh, she thanked him. Sitting between Trish and Nicholi, Abby looked out at Justin who was working out.

Jason approached the Youth Center with one thing in his mind. As it grew larger in his sight, the old days replayed in his mind. The gang had first become rangers here. All he knew was that the last time he was here, Serpentara had be reawaken and Tommy called him back into duty. Now he was passing the powers onto someone else. ‘This must be how Tommy felt’ Jason thought as he passed through the doors.

The place hadn’t changed much since Ernie bought it back. The workout area was still in the same place, as was the gymnastics equipment. Mostly the Youth Center was the same. The familiar feeling washed over him as he looked over to the teens. Surveying each one of them, he hoped what he was doing by choosing these teens and changing their lives forever was a good idea. He still remember when the others almost walked out of the Command Center the first time they arrived there.

Looking up to the bar, Jason seen the most familiar face of all anyone. Ernie. With a smirk on his face, Jason walked up to the bar, closely watching the teenagers from afar. Ernie had really fixed the place up after buying it back from Farkus Bulkmeier. Bulk was always a character. Although Bulk used to pick on him in high school, now they were great friends. As soon as Jason reached the bar, Ernie's loveable voice rang into his ears.

"Jason! Is that you?" Ernie cheerfully acknowledged.

"Yea, Ernie, it's me. How have you been?" He answered back.

"Pretty good, how about you?" Ernie asked.

"Busy, very busy." As the words escaped his mouth, Jason looked over to the teens busy around the Youth Center. 'Those we the best days' Jason thought. Then his eyes wandered over to the very reason why he was there.

"Jason..." Ernie whispered.

"Yea, Ernie. Whats up?" Jason questioned back.

"I know why your here." Ernie responded while putting down his rag.

Jason's heart leaped. If Ernie figured out that he was here to recruit rangers, his chances of keeping the identies of the new rangers were down to zero. Trying to play it off calmly, "Why am I here Ernie?"

"I've known why since you walked back into the Youth Center. It's been years since you've been here, and now your back. There's only one reason." Ernie trailed off.

'This is not happening...' Jason thought. "Uh huh..." With his heart racing a thousand miles an hour, he waited for Ernie's response.

"Well it's because........" Ernie stalled. "You miss my smoothies really bad. So what kinda can I get you? I've got a new flavor. It's Mango Strawberry!" Ernie exclaimed with a hardy laugh following the sentence.

A sigh of relief escaped Jason's lips. "That is the reason why I came back to the center. I'd like just a blueberry one please."

"Alrighty, be back in a jippy." Ernie chuckled out.

Jason relaxed as he waited for the smoothie. Watching the five teens he selected, he thought of the call he recieved a few months back.

*Flashback*

"Jason, somethings happened." A voice sounds over the reciever.

"What is it?" He questioned.

"The wave that Zordon sent through the universe has weakened."

"What do you mean it's weakened?" Jason asked.

"Jason, Zedd and Rita are evil once more. When Serpentara was awakened, it brought Zedd's power back. Since the two were married, it caused a chain reaction." The voice explained.

"Leo, how could that have happened? I don't understand." Jason was in shock. He couldn't believe that this was happening again. Every Ranger thought after the birth of Thrax, every trace of evil was expelled from Zedd and Rita's bodies. Apparently, they were wrong.

"I don't know either Jason, but we must have someone protect Angel Grove. Do you think Tommy could create another team?"

"No, he still needs to watch over Reefside. I'll do it. Since I'm in Angel Grove it's only logical." Jason proclaimed and felt a rush of pride sweep over him.

"Ok, I'll have Adam send Alpha to your home shortly." said Leo.

"I'll be waiting. Talk to you then Leo."

"Same too you, and Jason..." Leo claimed.

"Yes?" He questioned.

"May the power protect you." Leo said quoting the past rangers before him.

"Same to you man." Jason said as he hung up the phone.
