Hey guys, I recently bought a set of Zyu medallions off of King Ranger, and I just wanted to share my auction with you guys. I wanted to make coins that looked more like the Zyu props did in-show. I'm just testing the waters to see how well these will sell. If I get no takers, I'll call it quits on this project.

Yes. Morpher Functional means they're like the toy coins. Thanks for the interest!

So these are coins with a more ancient look to them?

Thanks for the compliments and good wishes guys!

hmm... I suppose you could say that. I just tried to mirror the prop coins that were seen in Zyuranger. The picture in my auction has shots from Zyuranger. You can see that the coins have that weathered/aged look to them.

I would definitely buy this as soon as more spendable income comes up for toys. Do they lock in? I don't see the notches to hold themselves inside the morpher.

you've out done yourself again Outatime

thanks cj!

They actually do lock into place. They lock in like normal coins, but they look like they have no rim, while in the morpher.

Do you have any pics of the actual coins we'll be getting?

Outatime
05-28-2008, 01:32 AM
It becomes sort of excessive to do that as I have to take new pics and upload them each and every time. The coins will look, more or less, like the ones in my auction. Since one set already sold, that person will be getting the EXACT coins shown in the picture(s). Other than that, my pictures are to be used as a basis for what the buyers coins will look like. Rarely do my items differ so drastically that people feel the desire to complain. If anything my items look around 95% like the stock photos I use.

Uh...I was specifically asking for pictures of the coins themselves out of the morpher, not so much the exact set. But that's cool.

OH! I misunderstood. Once tomorrow rolls around, I'll go ahead and take additional pics of the coins out of the morpher ^_^ I need natural light in order for the pics to look their best. Since it's 10:40 here in Cali, it's sort of a no-go for tonight.

Yeah, that's probably my fault. It was just that you had a picture of the original medallions on the eBay page, and the ones in the morphers looked like those, so I kind of wanted to see them out of the morpher to see what they would look like.

Well. I'll be damned. I was going to ask you to make me a set of coins like this! Ever since I saw your busted replicas, I wanted weathered coins.
I have to wait till my funds clear on Thursday. In case this set sells too, mind making another set? LOL!

Yea, same for me, i am really interested as well, but dont have the money at the moment.
So when the time is right, can you do another set ? :)

Now THIS is a good idea!

I was thinking about just dulling up my coins with a little black paint to make then screen accurate, but since I'm gonna have to replace them anyway (the morpher I have only came with 2 coins), and I don't have a dragon coin yet, this will save me the trouble!

Unfortunately, I'm also broke at the moment. But you can count on me buying a set after I find a summer job! :023:

Hey no problem guys. Once I have the molds I can make sets until they fall apart. I put two more sets up.

Jerry, check out the .gif in the new auction! There's a pic of what the coins look like in there ^_^ Thanks for the suggestion.

Looks great! The weathering on that is awsome.

Wow, I like the weathered look on these. I wonder what a Tiger coin would look like with this sort of paint style.

christopherjohn

Depends on which tiger coin. The symbol version would look pretty sweet imo. But I can't stand the cat version so.....

No, I meant the symbol one, not the angry housecat.

I'd figure but there are probably people out their that likes the angry house cat. Someone gave that cat a bath that day.

I always thought the cat had hemmorids. That's how I look when I get them.

If you go by "History", the white tiger coin would not have any weathering, since it was created by Zordon and Alpha. It should look new.

Someone gave that cat a bath that day.

Ha! Seriously, that made me laugh.

On a side note.

Pat, if I buy a complete set, could you make two individual coins on the side?

Yeah, but the coins in the show, the other coins didn't really look weathered either. They looked pretty crisp clean to me lol. Ok, they did in Zyuranger footage...

But since the White Tiger coin did technically come from Dairanger, it would be more pausable to have it "aged", even though the coin or rather, symbol is never actually used, being infused in a sword and kept hidden for thousands of years has got to have some effect to the look :005:

Like two extra copies of two coins (Red and Green I'm guessing)?

Whatever you're asking for, let me know and I'll arrange that Jose!

Definitely. all you have to do is add $20 (for the two coins) to the paypal invoice after purchasing through ebay. I'm pretty sure it'll let you do that, if not then you could always just send the amount to my PP addy after buying the set of 6 coins. Either way, it'd work :)

Along with my dragon + tiger coin run, I'm also going to be doing a run of these coins for $45 TOTAL (meaning shipping included!). First 5 people to send me a message get a full set of 6 zyu style coins for $45.

7 coins? Did you do a tiger or a tribal coin?

Outatime

Thanks for pointing that out. I actually meant the SIX Zyu coins shown within this thread. I do have a Tiger coin, but that's part of the other run, not this one.
