Hey everybody, It's been awhile since I posted here, so I thought that I would put up this fic I've been working on. This area will be updated as the story continues.

Thousands of years ago, on a far away planet, there lived a king. His name was King Yaibal. He ruled over his kingdom, keeping his people and his land from harm. Until one day, they came. Two brothers, determined to destroy the kingdom. Yaibal had no choice but to unleash his full power. His crown, known as the Corona Aurora, a gift from the queen before him, sealed the two brothers away on far away planets. The king’s energy gone, he faded away into nothingness, and his crown disappeared. Before he left the planet, he told his most loyal subject to hide the five crystals from the crown away, in case evil should ever arise again. The subject sent them to a planet where they would be safe...

That planet is Earth...

Chapter One: The Power- Part 1


Mack

The water surged around my boat as I sailed across the Atlantic Ocean. It was lonely out there all alone, but I didn’t mind. It was peaceful, and I had a sense of freedom for once in my life. No Dad to yell at me about not dong what I’m supposed to, no Spencer trying to help out when he’s not wanted. Man, this is the life. That’s when I saw it. A pirate ship, thirty times the size of my sailboat. They hauled me aboard and tied me up. I was left sitting in the cabin, all alone.

“Stupid pirates.” I said, trying to squirm out of the ropes. The ropes came loose and I was free. I ran out of the cabin and was faced by a bunch of pirates. I jumped into the air and kicked one of them in the face, sending him sprawling. I dodged a punch as I landed and spun, tripping the pirates surrounding me. I made a run for it, leaping over the side of the ship.

I was safe. I began to swim away from the boat, hoping to find some sailors to help me. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the jaws slammed shut around me.

I screamed. I fell out of the hammock and landed on the ground, beside my book that I had been reading before I fell asleep.

“The Pirate Hunter. Yeah, bad choice.” I said to myself, picking up the book and walking inside the Hartford Mansion. It was a beautiful place, decorated with sculptures and paintings. It was in fact the largest house in the state of Colorado.

“You there, stop!” The security guard shouted, running after the young man wearing blue. The man looked over his shoulder to see that the four security guards were still chasing him. He jumped over a picnic table and slid under a bench. He ran into the heart of the city, the guards still chasing him. He turned a corner and, Dead end.
“Thief, you have nowhere to go, surrender now!” He just smiled and jumped thirty feet into the air, landing on a fire escape.
“The name’s Dax.” He said. He barely had time to duck as a circular object whizzed past his head. He picked it up off the floor and opened it.
“Hello Dax,” a hologram said from the device, “My name is Andrew Hartford.”

Ronny’s performance was met with a standing ovation and flowers were thrown onto the stage. She bowed and left the stage.
“Nice work out there Ronny!” her manager said, handing her a pay check. Ronny left the bar and walked outside into the cool, night air.
“Hello little lady.” A creepy man said, stepping out from the shadows.
“Hows about you give us that pay check?” another one asked.
“How about you fuck off!” Ronny shouted, kicking one of them in the gonads, causing him to double over in pain. She rolled over his back and punched the other one in the gut. He doubled over as well, and she kicked him in the face, sending him flying into the air. She grabbed the arm of the first guy and threw him into the wall. She noticed a small circular device sitting on a bench nearby. She opened it and listened to the voice, a smile spreading across her face.

“Hey, Rose!” Will shouted over to the black haired girl working out on the leg press machine.
“Oh, hey Will.” She replied, getting off of the machine and walking over to him.
“What’s u-“he started to say, but was interrupted by a cry of pain. They looked over to see a guy stuck on the bench press machine, his face turning blue as he gasped for air. Will ran over, lifted up the hundred and fifty pound weight like it was nothing and set it down. Rose ran over with the gym owner, who immediately called an ambulance. They both noticed two small circular devices sitting where they had been moments earlier. They opened them, both with the same confused look on their faces.

“Good afternoon, Mack.” Spencer said, walking down the stairs, carrying a tray with tea and biscuits on it.

“Tea,” I asked, a puzzled look on my face, “What’s the occasion?”
“We have a guest, Mack.” Spencer replied, opening the door to the living room. There was a young blonde woman in a denim jacket sitting on the couch. My dad was sitting on the couch facing her. They stopped talking as I walked in.
“Mack, I’d like you to meet Ronny Robinson.” Dad said,. The woman stood up and held her hand out. I shook her hand and plopped down beside my dad.
“Mack, I’m sorry but this is a private meeting,” My dad said to me, an apologetic look on his face, “You’re going to have to leave for a while.”
“But dad-“ I started to say, but he just glared at me.
“Mack, leave, now.”
“Dad, why are you treating me like a baby,” I shouted angrily, “I’m 20 for fuck’s sakes!”
“Watch your mouth,” he snapped as he stood up, “Leave.” I stormed out of the room, my mind filled with angry thoughts about all the things I wanted to call my dad.
“Stupid goddamn dad, always treating me like I’m a kid.” I muttered, walking towards the front door. I opened it, and three people were standing there. An Asian guy in a shirt and jeans, an African- American wearing a muscle shirt and khaki shorts and a pale woman wearing a black shirt and a black skirt. I stormed past them, hopped on my motorcycle, and drove into town.

“Welcome everyone,” Andrew said, greeting the four people who were now standing in the room, “My name is Andrew Hartford, as you all should know by now, and I am here to offer you a job.”
“Thanks, but I already have a job.” Will said, and he began to walk away.
“This isn’t any regular job,” Andrew said, stopping Will in his tracks, “It is a job where, if you decide to take it, might ultimately save the world!”
Dax, Ronny, Will and Rose looked at him, confused.
“Let me tell you a story...”

I had been searching for it for years. The crown known as the Corona Aurora, the Crown of the King. I had received a tip that there had been stranger energy signatures coming from a cave in Alaska. I had travelled to the cave, and entered. There it was, the crown. I grabbed it, my hands shaking with excitement. As I grabbed the crown, the ground shook. I ran from the cave as fast as I could, only just making it to safety. I had acquired the crown, but at a heavy price. By removing the crown, I had broken the seals keeping evil away from our planet.

“Now evil has retuned to the planet,” Andrew said, a look of sadness on his face, “The only way to banish them again is to acquire the jewels of the Corona Aurora once again.”
“How do we come in?” Dax said, leaning against the wall.
“You four have been chosen to take up the mantle of the Power Rangers.”
“Yeah, right.” Will said, rolling his eyes.
“Would you like me to demonstrate?” Andrew asked, looking at the four of them.
“Sure, go ahead.” Ronny said, being sarcastic like the rest of them, just more polite.
Andrew picked up a golden device from the table. He flipped it open, and slid it down his arm.
“Overdrive, Start Up!”

Chapter Two: The Power- Part 2


Mack

“What the hell?” The four yelled, jumping back as they saw Andrew Hartford, now the Red Overdrive Ranger. He demorphed and put down the device.


“Now do you see?” He asked them, sitting down.

“Yes, I believe I can honestly say we all do.” Will replied.

“Good, then follow me.”


“Spencer!” I shouted, and he came walking into my room.

“Yes, Mack?” he asked me, bowing.

“Where’s my dad?” I snapped at him. He jumped back, and then walked away, motioning for me to follow him. We walked into my dad’s study, and Spencer pushed a button on the desk, causing it to move backwards, revealing a staircase. I walked down the stairs into a room that had whirring gadgets and gizmos all over the walls. There were five tubes along one wall, and four of them were glowing so you couldn’t see inside. They were glowing pink, blue, yellow and black.

“Dad!” I yelled, remembering why I was here. He walked out from behind one of the machines, goggles over his eyes.

“Ah Mack, I was looking for you,” He said, an apologetic look on his face, “I know that you heard everything that happened upstairs.”

“Yeah, and your point is?” I asked him, trying to sound as uncaring as possible.

“The team needs five members, we only have four right now.” He stated simply.

“No, I’m not doing it.” I said, walking away. He sighed. The tubes stopped glowing, and the rangers stepped out, imbued with their new powers. Their uniforms, which were pure grey, changed. They turned black and lines appeared on them, the colour differentiating for each ranger.

An alarm went off, and a screen in the corner turned on, showing a video from the center of the city. There was big, red lizard thing and an old guy wearing what looked like armour made out of ice. They both had a bunch of minions that were attacking each other.

“Are you guys ready for your first battle?” Andrew asked, handing them their Overdrive Trackers.

“Aren’t you coming with us?” Ronny asked, turning to look at him.

“No, I am not the one destined to be the red ranger.” Was the only response that she got.

The four rangers pressed the silver button inside their trackers and they disappeared in a ranger coloured flashes of light.

The rangers materialized feet away from the battle that was raging, and they jumped into the fray.

“Rangers,” Gajya and Ryuzuki said at the same time, matching expressions of anger showing on their faces. “Karths, Dragonites, ATTACK!” they shouted, one after another.

Rose threw a punch that sent one of the monsters flying and as another beast grabbed her out stretched arm, she grabbed the blaster from her belt and fired it, hitting the Karth holding her in the face. She laughed as she ducked underneath a flurry of punches from a Dragonite, and she kicked upwards, making its arm fly straight up into the air. She kicked it in the chest, and it exploded, incinerating a bunch of others around it and sending Rose flying.

Will went right to work, punching and kicking, sending monsters flying in every direction. He dodged punch aimed at his head by a Karth, and grabbed the arm, ripping it right off. He smiled as the Karth’s blood flew everywhere, covering everything with silverish-blue life juice. The arm he was holding instantly froze, and Will began using it as a club, bludgeoning all the beasts in his path.

Ronny jumped on top of an SUV and pulled out the blaster from her belt. “Overdrive Blaster, Blade Mode!” The blaster changed into a sword, and she held it in front of her, practically daring any enemies to come after her. A group that was a mixture of Karths and Dragonites surrounded the SUV, and they all leapt into the air, ready to strike. Ronny spun around at super-speed, slashing all of the minions around her, forming sparks. She flipped into the air, avoiding the explosion.

Dax pulled out his Overdrive Striker and decapitated a Dragonite in front of him. He smirked, leaping into the air. He looked down on the crowd of enemies below him. He closed his eyes, charging his blade with huge amounts of energy. He whipped it into the group of enemies. An explosion rocked around the blade, obliterating the beasts.

The four rangers met in the center of the road, facing the two brothers.
“Hey, fuck tards, you ready to die?” Will yelled at them.

“Yeah, you better give up!” Ronny yelled, a triumphant smile on her face.

“Your minions just got owned, wimps!” Dax shouted, laughing.

“Chicken shits, its time to surrender!: Rose shouted lastly, pointing at the two evil brothers.

“Brother, I suggest that we make a temporary alliance.” Ryuzuki stated loudly, his Inferno Blades appearing in his hands.

“Only to destroy these rangers.” Gajya replied, not looking at his brother. A ball of magic energy appeared in his hands.

“ELEMENTS OF POWER, FIRE!” The two of them shouted, firing a blast of energy at the rangers, sending them flying away.

The four rangers stood up, badly bruised.
“Let’s ranger up!” Will shouted, pulling out his tracker.
“OVERDRIVE, START UP!” the four of them shouted, sliding the Trackers down their arms.

The Overdrive Trackers glow with Ranger coloured light. The light from the Tracker spreads across the ranger’s bodies, forming their suits. Their helmets form around their heads.

“Let’s get those fuckers guys!” Will shouted. Will and Dax charged at the brothers.

“Drive Scythe!” Will yelled, his weapon appearing in his hands. He slashed at Ryuzuki, causing sparks to form. He slashed again and again, thousands of sparks flying everywhere. Ryuzuki lashed out at Will, sending him flying.

“Drive Launcher!” Dax shouted, and his weapon appeared in his hand. He pointed it down at the ground. He flew up into the air, pulling out his blaster. He fired many blasts of blue energy at Gajya. A shield of ice formed in front of him, and the blasts ricocheted off of the shield and hit Dax. He fell down to the ground and crashed into the top of a bus.

“Drive Chakrams!” Rose shouted, her weapons materializing in front of her. She channelled energy through her chakrams, forming a gigantic blast of energy which flew at the two brothers. The two brothers slid back a few feet, and fired energy at Rose, an explosion rocking the ground behind them. Ryuzuki fired an inferno of flames at her, and she erupted into flames. The technology in her suit put the flames out, but she was too weak to fight.

“Drive Staff!” Ronny screamed in rage, her staff forming. She ran at the brothers, planting her staff in the ground between them. She spun around the staff; kicking at the brothers. Gajya grabbed her leg and threw her into a wall. As the brothers moved in for the final attack, they charged their magic.

“Damn it, they need my help!” I said to myself, running into the secret room. I stepped into the remaining tube, and it glowed red. The light faded, and I grabbed the remaining Tracker. I teleported to where the fierce battle was raging.

I landed on top of a nearby restaurant. Pulling out my Overdrive Tracker, I slid it down my arm.
“OVERDRIVE, START UP!”

Mack’s Overdrive Tracker glowed with red light. The light from the Tracker spread across the ranger’s body, forming his suit. His helmet formed around his head.

“Drive Blades!” I shouted, as they appeared in my grasp. I whipped them at the brothers. They collided with them, turning their attention away from my friends. My friends stood up and leapt to my side.
“The Fiery Adventurer, Overdrive Red!”
“The Fast Adventurer, Overdrive Black!”
“The Flying Adventurer, Overdrive Blue!”
“The Strong Adventurer, Overdrive Yellow!”
“The Aqua Adventurer, Overdrive Pink!”
“POWER RANGERS OPERATION OVERDRIVE!” An explosion rocked the ground behind us, and ranger coloured smoke appeared. There was a scream, and I turned to see a guy running around on fire because of our explosion.
“What the fucking hell you stupid fucking douchebags!” The guy yelled, running off.
“Let’s put them together!" I yelled. We threw our weapons up into the air. There was a flash of light, and they combined to form the Overdrive Cannon, which landed in my hands.
“Say goodnight.” Ronny said with a smirk, putting her hand on my left shoulder.
“Three." Rose said, putting her hand on my right shoulder.
“Two." Will said, putting his hand on Ronny’s shoulder.
“One." Dax said, putting his hand on Rose’s shoulder.
“Zero."I said, aiming the gun at the brothers.
“Blaster Formation, FIRE!" We all yelled together. A blast of light hit the brothers, and the Overdrive symbol appeared in front of them, exploding. The brothers fell in pain and teleported away.

“Mack, I am so proud of you.” Dad said, pulling me into a hug. I smiled, hugging him back. We stood there, hugging, until there was an alarm went off.
“What the fuck!” Dax shouted, glaring at the flashing light.
“Another one?” Ronny sighed, shaking her head.
“No rangers, this is different.” Spencer said dramatically.
“It’s a jewel signature!”

Ok I'm really liking this. The only bad thing that I might say about it is that itseems like some of the characters aren't getting enough time to speak. But other than that, I'm lovin it! (Please don't sue me McDonalds...)

Chapter Three: Ice, Ice Baby


Dax

“So, where are we going this time?’ I asked, leaning against the wall.

“Well, according to this, the jewel signature is coming from The North Pole.” Andrew replied.

“Well, let’s get going guys.” Mack said, and the five of us began to leave.

“Wait, you guys are going to need these.” Andrew told us, and he grabbed a box off of the table. Inside were five keys. They were silver and had a band around the top, a different colour for each of us.

“What are these?” Rose asked, a look of curiosity on her face.

“Those, are the keys to your zords.”

“Badass!” Will shouted, jumping up and down in glee.

“You will all be riding in the Gyro Driver, which will carry the rest of the zords.”

“Ok guys, let’s go!”

“A jewel signature, coming from the North Pole,” Gajya mumbled to
himself, “The rangers must have gotten the same signal I got. I am going to need some help to defeat them.”

He formed a ball of ice In his hands, which he placed on the ground. The ball of ice grew bigger and bigger until it shattered, revealing the beast inside.

“Come with me, my minion.”

“Ok, I’m freezing my balls off out here!” I shouted in anger, shivering in my uniform.

“Don’t worry, according to my tracker, we’re almost there.” Ronny replied, not looking where she was going.

“Holy shit!” Will yelled, looking up. I looked up and saw a giant palace, made entirely of ice. We stood there, looking at it.

“Maybe we should go in.” Rose said sarcastically.

“Let’s ranger up first.” Mack said warningly.

“Overdrive, Start Up!”

The Overdrive Trackers glow with Ranger coloured light. The light from the Tracker spreads across the ranger’s bodies, forming their suits. Their helmets form around their heads.

“Let’s go guys.” Mack said, trying to sound heroic, despite the obvious fear in his voice.

“Not so fast rangers!” A voice from behind us said. We turned to see Gajya and about thirty Karths.

“I’ve got this one covered guys, you go on ahead.” I said, pulling out my blaster.

“Are you sure?” Rose asked me, the worry obvious in her voice.

“Yeah, now go on, before anybody else tries to crash the party.” The four of them entered the palace, and I smiled, pointing my blaster at Gajya.

“Let’s dance.”

“How the hell are we going to find this thing?” Will asked, looking around at the sheer size of the place.

“The signal gets stronger as we walk in this direction.” Ronny told him, walking east.

“Something tells me this is going to take a long, long time.” Rose sighed, following the others.

I fired my blaster at the Karths, hitting one in the chest. It dropped, disintegrating on the ground. The others charged at me, and I jumped in the air, firing like crazy, destroying about ten more. I landed and kicked out at another one, knocking it’s head clean off. I did the splits, dodging a kick to my head, and called on my Drive Launcher. I activated it, spinning around, causing all the enemies around me to go flying.

“Too easy.” I laughed, as they blew up.

“Good job Blue Ranger, but those Karths were the least of your worries,” Gajya shouted, “Moydon, attack!” There was a glimmer of light, and an odd looking beast appeared.

“Oh, you look so menacing!” I said in mock fear. The beast just grunted at me and charged at me, kicking me and sending me flying. I got up, holding the spot where he kicked me. I ran at him, punching him in the chest. He kicked me again, and I went flying. I tried again and again, each time resulting in failure.

“Damn, I can’t hurt him!” I yelled angrily to myself. I had to resort to this, I had no other choice. I ran at the beast again, sending him sliding backwards.

“Water Style, Dragon Bullet!” A stream of water came up from underneath him, and the beast exploded from the pure pressure. I fell to the ground, the pain of using such a powerful attack causing me to demorph.

“Guys, there it is!” Mack shouted back to the others. They ran up to him and were greeted by an amazing sight. There was a throne of ice, and sitting on it was a statue. It held a sword with the blue jewel inside of it.

“I’ve got it.” Will said, walking up to the statue. As he reached for the sword, the statue jumped up, slashing at him with his sword, making sparks fly.

“Drive Blades!” Mack shouted, going head-to-head with the statue. They fought with amazing skill, slashing and parrying each other until Mack stabbed one of his blades into the chest of the statue. The statue stopped moving, and Mack grabbed the jewel. The four rangers walked away from the throne, ready for the long ride home.

Damn it Dax! Pull yourself together!

I got up, pulling out my Tracker.

“Aren’t you done yet?” Gajya asked me mockingly.

“Not yet.”

“Overdrive, Start Up!”

Dax’s Overdrive Tracker glowed with blue light. The light from the Tracker spread across the ranger’s body, forming his suit. His helmet formed around his head.

Gajya formed an ice shard in his hand, and Dax braced himself for the attack. Gajya threw the shard into the spot where Moydon had exploded. The ground shimmered, and Moydon rose again, only this time, he was a hundred times larger.
“Gyro Driver, Start Up!” I shouted, inserting the key into my tracker. The Gyro Driver flew overhead, and I leapt into the cockpit, inserting my Tracker into the designated spot. I flew my zord at the beast firing blasts of blue light at him, but it didn’t do any damage. He swung a punch at me, but I shot upwards, avoiding it. It fired a blast of ice at my zord, and it connected, sending me towards the ground. I pulled up just in time, hovering low over the ground.

The four rangers reached the entrance of the palace only to see the Gyro Driver in fierce battle with a large creature.

"Wow, Dax has been busy." Ronny said with a smile.

“Think he could use our help?” Will added, with a small laugh.

“Let’s do this.” Rose said, pulling out her Tracker.

“Dump Driver, Start Up!”

“Sub Driver, Start Up!”

“Speed Driver, Start Up!”

“Dozer Driver, Start Up!”

The four other zords joined in the battle, firing blasts at the beast, but to no avail. The beast seemed invincible. My tracker went off, and Andrew’s face appeared on the screen.

“Dax, you guys need to activate the Drive Defender Megazord.” Andrew said.

“You got it boss man.” I answered, and his face disappeared. I pressed a button, enabling me to talk to the other rangers.

“Guys, the boss says that we have to bring them together.” I told them.
Simultaneously, we pressed a button in each of our zords, and the transformation sequence activated.

The Speed Driver and Dozer Driver transform and attach themselves to the Dump Driver. The top of the Dump Driver comes down, forming the legs of the Megazord. As the Megazord begins to stand, the Sub Driver drives up the back of it and forms the chest. The head comes out from the top of the Megazord, and the Gyro Driver lands on top, forming the helmet. The seat from each zord enters the cockpit.

“Drive Defender Megazord!” we shouted. We placed our Trackers into the openings in front of our seats, and an intricate control panel rose up.
The Megazord charged at the beast, punching it and knocking it back. As the beast sent shards of ice flying at the Megazord, the Defender Shield appeared and blocked it. The Defender Sword appeared in the other hand with the press of a button, and it glowed as It absorbed energy. The monster ran at the Megazord in one last ditch attempt to stop us, but it wasn’t fast enough.

“OVERDRIVE SWORD, ULTIMATE SLASH!” The Megazord shot forward, the sword going right through the beast. It fell to the ground and exploded. The five of us jumped out of the Megazord and landed on the ground, facing Gajya.

“It’s your turn to die Gajya.” I said to him. he smiled and disappeared in a shroud of ice.

I sat in the tree, awaiting the inevitable. Using a ninja technique had destroyed the seal that kept his soul imprisoned inside of my body. The wave of pain hit me, and the cloud of darkness came from my body, slowly forming itself back into a human form. The last thing that I saw before I passed out was that yellow visor.

"Hello Dax, remember me?' He asked mockingly.

Hey people! I know it's been a while, and this chapter is short, but trust me, the next one won't be. I promise!
Chapter Four: The Darkness Within

Dax
“Good work rangers.” Andrew told them, passing out drinks for everybody.
“Wait, where’s Dax?” Rose asked, looking around. The others followed suit, but he was nowhere in sight.

“Hello, my little puppet.” the mysterious creature said, laughing at me as I woke up.
“Fuck you, Tsukasa.” I said, spitting at him.
“Feisty, aren’t we?” he replied, firing a blast of dark energy at me. I screamed in pain as he walked away, leaving me alone in thee room.
“Hello Dax-senpai.” a female voice said. A young woman walked out of the shadows towards me.
“Jasmine,” I yelled in relief, looking into the face of my former colleague, “Untie me!”
“I am so sorry Dax-senpai, but I cannot do that.” She held both of her amrs out in front of her and a small circular symbol appeared in between her hands. The symbol flew towards me, and everything went black.

“How are we going to find him?” Mack asked, running around to all the different machines, looking for some kind of sign.
“Guys, look.” Ronny said, pointing at the viewing screen. It showed a field, which according to the coordinates, was in some mountains nearby. Standing in the middle of the field, his eyes closed, was Dax.
I stood there. I could feel the wind blowing past my face, hear the birds whistling, but I had no control. The dark energy that Tsukasa had fired at me had brought back out my evil side. He was in full control.
“Dax!” Ronny cried out in relief as the four of them ran towards me.
“Run.” I grunted at them. It took all the force I had to get enough control to let out that one sentence.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Will asked me, looking into my eyes.
“I said RUN!” I shouted, and I attacked. They didn’t expect the attack, and within moments, they were lying on the ground, badly beaten. They sttod up, and I pulled out my morpher, ready to go in for the kill. I instantly morphed and aimed my weapon at them. As I readied to fire, a streak of silver flew past, knocking me backwards. I saw the cloud of darkness fly from inside my body and disappear. I looked around for the silver creature, but there was nobody in sight.
I felt okay for a minute or two, but then, a sudden, intense pain rose inside of me. I cried out in agony, falling to the ground.

The four rangers stood beside their team mate's comatose body. Tears pooled in Rose’s eyes, and Mack put his arm around her. They didn’t have much time to ‘mourn’ however, because the alarm went off. The four rangers ran off towards the danger.

They touched down outside City Hall to see a young woman with her hair tied into a long braid.
“Who are you?” Will asked her, stepping forward.
“Jasmine.” She said, a devious grin etching itself across her beautiful features. She suddenly ran at the rangers, two daggers appearing in her hands. She slashed at Will and Mack repeatedly until they were helpless. They laid on the ground, bleeding from their many gashes. Rose and Ronny looked at each other, pulling out their trackers.

“Overdrive, Start Up!” They shouted, morphing. They called on their weapons, charging at the young ninja.

Rose parried a strike from the ninja and spun around behind her. Rose slashed twice, sending her forward towards Ronny. Jasmine barely had time to hold her blades in front of her body, blocking a strike from Ronny. Ronny knelt down, knocking Jasmine off of her feet. Jasmine flipped backwards, panting for air.

The two rangers ran at her again, but were thrown backwards by a sudden cloud of smoke. A blue knight-like figure appeared, holding a steel katana in it’s hand.
“Tsukasa-sensei!” Jasmine panted, bowing deeply.
“Jasmine, I’ll handle these two.” The figure said in a deep voice. Rose and Ronny ran at him, looks of determination on their faces. Tsukasa ran towards them quickly as well, slashing at the two of them. That one strike had enough power to forcibly demorph the two of them. He made a sign with his armoured hands, and the four helpless rangers disappeared.

“Spencer, come look!” Andrew shouted down the hallway, a look of worry on his face. Spencer came running to him, and the two watched as the rangers were easily defeated and captured.

“Mack…” Andrew said, a single tear falling down his cheek.

Chapter Five: Call of The Vixen

Lillian Hope

“Uncle Andrew!” I shouted, walking down the hallway. This place was nice, but I could get sick of it really fast. Especially if Mack wasn’t here.

“Uncle Andrew!” I shouted once again, but I didn’t get a response. I shrugged my shoulders, walking into the library. Pushing my long blonde hair out of my eyes, I searched the bookshelf for something to read.

“Miss Hope.” A voice said from behind me. I jumped about five feet into the air. I turned around, and it was Spencer. He was standing there carrying a tray of tea and biscuits.

“Oh, hey Spencer.” I responded, turning around again.

“Master Andrew would like to speak to you in his office.” Spencer spoke, ushering her out of the room. Once she was gone, he pulled out one of the books, entering the basement headquarters.

“Hi Lily.” Andrew said offhandedly as I walked in. I smiled at my uncle as I sat down in a comfortable looking armchair. Looking around, I noticed that this place was a lot messier than it usually was. I figured that something was wrong, but I decided not to bother my uncle about it.

“So, Uncle Andrew, where’s Mack?” I asked, picking at my nails as I waited for his response.

“I don’t know, to tell you the truth.” he replied, smiling at me.

My uncle is a terrible liar.

Mack rested him head back against the steel bars of his cage. He looked over at Rose to see her huddled in a corner of her cage, looking afraid.

“It’s okay Rose, my dad’s gonna get us out of here.” Mack reassured her, a caring smile growing on his face. We were in what looked like a giant underground cave. Our cages were lined up against one wall, and our trackers were in a steel case on the other side of the room. I sighed, falling back against the cage once more.

Dax stirred, his eyes opening slightly. He was still in immense pain, and his body felt like it was paralyzed. Slowly, he sat up, trying to remember what happened. Then, it came to him. He remembered everything. The way Tsukasa used him to attack his friends, that silver streak of light. Everything came flooding back to him in one wave. He laid back, enveloped in his own sorrow.

I walked out of my uncle’s office, trying to find some way to entertain myself. As I entered the library, I noticed that one bookshelf was sticking out slightly. I walked over to it curiously, and saw the secret passageway behind it. I made my way down the staircase slowly, not wanting to fall or get scared or something.

Entering the secret room, I saw Spencer at one of the computers, concentrating on something. I stood in the corner, hidden by the shadows. There were loud footsteps coming from upstairs, and yet another person made their way into the room, albeit a lot less gracefully.

It was my uncle, and he had a small device in his hand. It looked like a watch, but as I looked closer, I could see that there was a great deal of wires and other technology in it.

I was really good with computers, and from where I was, I could almost immediately tell what it was. It was some sort of transformation device, used to change someone into something. I gasped as I put two and two together.

It would explain why Andrew’s office was such a mess, why Mack was gone, and why he lied to me.

“Who’s there?” Andrew snapped looking in my direction. I stepped slowly out of he shadows, an embarrassed look on my face.

“Lily, do you know what-” he started to say, gesturing towards the device in his hand.

“It’s a morpher, isn’t it.” I said, not really asking. Before he could answer, and explosion rocked the building. A monitor in the wall turned on, displaying the outside of the mansion. Outside was a dragon-like thing, and a giant crowd of little dragon things.

“Lily, I need you to take this and go find Mack and the others.” Andrew said to me, his eyes still fixed on the screen. He handed me the morphed, and I strapped it to my wrist.

“Uncle, how am I gonna know what to do with this?” I asked, not ready for what he wanted me to do.

“Trust me, you’ll know.” He stated, ushering me out of the room. I ran upstairs, heading for the back door. I kicked it open, running outside. There was even more dragon things back here.

“Damn it!” I yelled, getting into a fighting stance. Two of them charged at me, grabbing my arms. I flipped backwards, crossing my arms, and the two of them bashed into each other, falling. I let them go and ran at the rest of them. They tried to swarm me, but I jumped, performing a spinning kick. A bunch of them fell down, but one more came running at me, sending me sliding back.

I snarled, grabbing it’s arm. I broke it in three places, letting the incapacitated creature fall to the floor. I ran around to the front and saw the remaining dragon things, as well as the big dragon. The big dragon saw me, and he sent all the little ones into the mansion. He growled at me, and before I knew it, he had my throat in his hand. He tightened his grip slowly, attempting to snap my neck.

With what was left of my strength, I kicked him in the chest, making him release me. I looked down at my wrist, seeing the device strapped to it. I flipped open the plastic casing, ready to morph.

“Vixen Changer, Start up!” I shouted, pressing the button. My body glowed with purple light, and a ranger suit surrounded my body. It was similar to the ones that the other rangers wore, although mine was purple.

I laughed, feeling the energy surge through my body.

“You wanna play?” I asked, beckoning the dragon to try and attack me. He threw a powerful punch at me, but I slid to the right, avoiding it. I punched him in his exposed side, and he bent over in pain. He raised both of his hands into the air, howling in fury. Two swords appeared in his hands, and he got ready to charge at me again.

“Vixen Magnums!” I shouted, and two purple guns appeared in my hands. As he came running at me, I ran in the other direction, towards a wall. He followed closely behind me, right into my trap. I ran up the wall, flipping backwards over his head. I fired blast after blast at the thing until I landed, getting into a fighting position.

“This isn’t over!” The thing yelled, disappearing in a burst of flame. I heard a beep from my wrist, and as I looked at it, a miniature hologram appeared. It was my uncle, and he looked worried.

“Lily, we’ve found Mack and the others. I’m sending you the co-ordinates.” He said, and he disappeared, a set of numbers appearing instead. I figured out where I was going, and I ran off to save my cousin.

Will punched the steel bar of his cage for the thousandth time, trying despratley to escapr.

“Will, stop it, you’re just gonna hurt yourself.” Ronny stated from her cage. Will flopped down on the floor, looking defeated.

“Wait, guys listen.” Mack piped up, and the rangers went silent. A series of beeps were coming from one of the trackers.

“It’s Morse code!” Rose shouted excitedly, listening. Once the beeps stopped, Rose spoke again, to tell the rangers what was said.

“It was Andrew! He said that somebody is coming to help us!” Rose yelled excitedly, a huge smile spreading across her face.

“How is anybody going to be able to take on Tazuma and Jasmine by themselves?” Will asked incredulously.

“He said it was another ranger.” Rose said, an astonished look on her face.

I arrived at the place, which looked like a giant temple. Standing outside was a young Asian woman who had two blades in her hands. I laughed, getting into a fighting position. I also demorphed, not wanting to seriously harm an unarmed opponent.

She ran at me, her blades slicing the air with expert skill. One slash got my chin, and a long scratch formed, my blood dripping from it. I was pissed now. As she slashed at me again, I grabbed her wrist, stopping her from cutting me again. As she swung at me with the other blade, I grabbed her other wrist as well.

She struggled, trying to get free of my grasp. I spun sideways in the air, taking her with me. I landed on my feet, but she fell, her blades flying from her hands. I grabbed them in midair, smirking at the female fighter.

I walked away, leaving her lying on the ground. Entering the temple, I was stopped by yet another figure. This one was wearing blue armour and his visor was a deep shade of yellow. I could practically see the evil radiating from him.

I flipped open my morphed once again, pressing the button inside.

“Vixen Changer, Start Up!”

I called on my Vixen Magnums once again, and I noticed that there was a button on the side of each of them. Pressing the button, they slid out to become two swords. I smiled, getting into a fighting stance. In the blink of an eye, the ninja was slashing at me, trying furiously to rip me apart. I blocked most of his strikes, but the last one caught me across the chest. I flew backwards into the wall, sparks spreading across my armour.

He went in for the finishing strike, but I jumped up, blocking his katana with my blades. He slashed at me again, and I jumped, landing gracefully behind him. I slashed at the back of his helmet, and he spun, his katana almost striking me. He stumbled, and I thrust my blade forward, catching hiss visor. The visor chipped, and a piece fell off.

I looked into the visor, and I could see a single eye through the hole. The eye was blood red. I stumbled backwards in shock, running into the wall. He came at me once more, his katana to my throat. Suddenly, a gust of wind from his side sent him flying.

The Blue Ranger came running towards me, holding out his hand to help me up.

“Lily, right?” He asked, pulling me to my feet.

“Um, yeah.” I replied, still in shock because he saved my life. I demorphed, and he did the same.

We ran into the next room, and we could see the rangers in separate cages.

“Took you guys long enough.” Ronny stated jokingly, smiling at us.

“Wait, Lily? What are you doing here?” Mack asked, looking extremely confused.

“I’m the Vixen Ranger.” I replied, walking over to him.

“Okay, well anyway, we need to get these cages open.” Dax told me, trying to find something to break the cage.

“I’ve got it.” I said, morphing once again. Called my Vixen Magnums, and as I took aim, I fired blasts at the locks on the cages. The locks fried, and the rangers came running out. They each grabbed their morphers, and they were obviously glad to have them back.

“Are you guys ready?” Mack asked, flipping open his tracker.

“Ready!” The other four responded, copying his actions.

“Overdrive, Start Up!” They yelled, sliding their trackers down their arms. Suddenly, there were five rangers standing in their place. The six of us ran from the temple into the bright sunlight, where we were confronted by the ninja guy and his little friend.

“Tazuma.” Dax growled, getting into a fighting stance. Tazuma laughed metallically through his helmet, making a symbol with his hands. A beast appeared, growing in size until it was as all as an apartment building.

“You guys get that thing.” Dax told us, his voice determined. I patted him on the shoulder as we ran off, calling on the Zords. I piloted Dax’s, and soon enough, we were inside the Megazord.

The two ninjas ran at Dax, but Dax just made a symbol with his hand. A giant rock rose into the sky behind the ninjas, and from it came a giant waterfall. Dax flew out of the way using his Drive Launcher, but the two villains were left behind.

Dax laughed, rising into the sky. Suddenly, a steel wing collided with his chest, forming sparks. Looking for the cause of it, Dax saw a blue owl flying off into the distance. Unfortunatley, he knew that owl all too well.

The Megazord was barely able to duck out of the way of a powerful punch from the beast. We summoned the Overdrive Sword, and we slashed at the beast, it’s blood pooling on the road. With one final slash, we decapitated it, and it’s body fell. The beast exploded, and the Megazord struck a victory pose.

As we walked into the mansion, Andrew ran up, pulling Mack into a tight hug.

“It’s okay, Dad.” Mack told Andrew, patting him on the back. The six of us sat down in the Living Room, wondering what fate had in store for us next.
